Tetrasodium EDTA Prices | Pricing | Trend | News | Database | Chart | Forecast
Tetrasodium EDTA, a widely used chelating agent in industries such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and water treatment, has seen fluctuations in its prices over the years due to various market factors. This compound, known for its ability to bind metal ions and enhance the stability of formulations, plays a crucial role in numerous applications, which influences its demand and price structure. To understand the pricing trends of Tetrasodium EDTA, it is essential to look at several contributing elements such as raw material costs, production processes, supply chain dynamics, and global demand trends.
One of the primary factors affecting the price of Tetrasodium EDTA is the cost of raw materials. Tetrasodium EDTA is synthesized from ethylenediamine, formaldehyde, and sodium cyanide, all of which are subject to price fluctuations based on their availability and market conditions. For example, if there are supply constraints in obtaining any of these raw materials, the production costs for Tetrasodium EDTA can rise, leading to an increase in its market price. Additionally, changes in the global price of sodium cyanide, often influenced by the mining industry, can impact the cost of production for Tetrasodium EDTA manufacturers. This fluctuation is often reflected in the pricing of the final product.
Get Real Time Prices for Tetrasodium EDTA: https://www.chemanalyst.com/Pricing-data/tetrasodium-edta-1413
Another critical aspect influencing Tetrasodium EDTA prices is the production process itself. The manufacturing of Tetrasodium EDTA requires specialized equipment and technology, and any changes in operational costs—such as labor, energy, or maintenance—can have a significant effect on the overall pricing. For instance, regions with higher energy costs or stringent environmental regulations may see higher production expenses, which can ultimately lead to increased prices in the market. On the other hand, manufacturers operating in regions with favorable production conditions might be able to offer more competitive pricing, impacting global price trends.
The supply chain dynamics for Tetrasodium EDTA also play a pivotal role in its pricing. The global supply chain has become increasingly complex, with raw materials being sourced from different parts of the world and production facilities often located far from the final markets. Disruptions in transportation, delays in shipping, or geopolitical tensions can affect the availability of Tetrasodium EDTA, causing price spikes. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, disruptions in global supply chains led to significant delays in shipments and higher freight costs, which in turn impacted the prices of chemical compounds, including Tetrasodium EDTA.
Global demand for Tetrasodium EDTA is another major factor in determining its price. The compound is widely used in personal care products, such as shampoos and soaps, to stabilize formulations and improve shelf life. It is also a key ingredient in industrial cleaning agents, textiles, and water treatment applications. As the demand for these end products fluctuates, so does the demand for Tetrasodium EDTA. For instance, an increase in consumer awareness regarding hygiene and cleanliness, particularly during the pandemic, led to a surge in demand for personal care and cleaning products, indirectly pushing up the demand and price for Tetrasodium EDTA.
The rise of eco-friendly and sustainable products has also had an impact on Tetrasodium EDTA prices. As consumers and industries move towards greener alternatives, the demand for traditional chelating agents like Tetrasodium EDTA may see changes. Some manufacturers are exploring more biodegradable and less toxic alternatives, which could influence the market dynamics. If demand for these alternatives grows, it could reduce the consumption of Tetrasodium EDTA, potentially stabilizing or lowering its prices in the long term. However, the development and adoption of these alternatives are still in the early stages, and Tetrasodium EDTA continues to be a key component in many formulations.
Regional variations in pricing are also common due to differences in local market conditions, such as availability of raw materials, labor costs, and regulatory requirements. For example, the prices of Tetrasodium EDTA may be lower in countries with abundant raw materials and low-cost production environments, while prices in regions with stricter environmental regulations and higher production costs might be higher. Additionally, import duties, taxes, and tariffs imposed by governments can further affect regional pricing.
In recent years, global economic conditions have had a significant impact on the prices of chemical compounds, including Tetrasodium EDTA. Inflationary pressures, currency fluctuations, and economic slowdowns in key markets have contributed to shifts in pricing. For example, inflation in raw material-producing countries can increase the cost of sourcing inputs for Tetrasodium EDTA production, while weakening currencies in importing countries can make the compound more expensive for buyers in those regions. Conversely, favorable economic conditions, such as stable inflation and strong currencies, can help stabilize or reduce prices.
The outlook for Tetrasodium EDTA prices remains closely tied to these market factors. As industries continue to recover from global disruptions, the demand for Tetrasodium EDTA is expected to stabilize, potentially bringing some relief to price fluctuations. However, the rise of new technologies and alternative compounds may pose challenges to Tetrasodium EDTA's dominance in the market, which could influence its future pricing trends. The ongoing push for sustainability and greener solutions may also reshape the demand for traditional chemicals, further adding to the complexity of the pricing landscape for Tetrasodium EDTA.
In conclusion, Tetrasodium EDTA prices are influenced by a combination of factors, including raw material costs, production processes, supply chain dynamics, global demand, and regional market conditions. While recent disruptions have led to some volatility in pricing, the long-term outlook will depend on the balance between traditional uses of Tetrasodium EDTA and the rise of alternative, eco-friendly compounds. Understanding these underlying factors is crucial for stakeholders in industries that rely on Tetrasodium EDTA to navigate the evolving market landscape and make informed decisions regarding procurement and pricing strategies.

This product contains 300 ml (10.1 oz) and has a nice salon type of scent.
Tumblr media
The shampoo comes in a plastic bottle with a basic kind of cap to pour out the product.
Tumblr media
The shampoo is clear in color with no added colorants and has a semi-thick texture.
Tumblr media
The shampoo does lather up pretty well and it really massages well into the scalp. It rinses out cleanly without leaving the hair feeling dry.
Recommended use is to wet hair and scalp with warm water, supply a suitable amount of shampoo and lather it up. Use fingertips and gently massage the scalp for 2-3 minutes and wash out cleanly and dry scalp and hair, it's recommended to allow hair to air dry or dry with the cool air function of your dryer. After using, like the hair treatment I really enjoyed how this smells, it's very pleasant and it just reminds me of a salon. The shampoo is clear and somewhat thick in texture and not a lot is needed. It lathers really easily and without having that squeaky feeling as it cleanses the hair. It rinses out the hair cleanly without feeling drying or stripping the hair. It leaves the scalp and hair clean but hydrated and as a result, it keeps the hair from tangling. The ingredients are all pretty nice and great to stimulates the scalp and remove dry and dead skin and hopefully make way for new hair growth. After using, it really does lessen the amount of hair loss after showering as compared to when I use a shampoo that isn't meant for that. I’d recommend this to anyone with fine or thinning hair or anyone who has a dry or flaky scalp or if you just want to help improve your hair growth.
What I like: the shampoo gently cleanses hair without stripping it or tangling the hair. The ingredients are really nice and ideal to improve hair growth and cleanse the scalp without causing any flakiness. It also really hydrates the hair and improves shine. The scent is really nice and a little goes a long way so this product should last quite a while. It also starts to work quickly and it greatly reduces the amount of hair loss after use. What I don't like: nothing.
Pros:

Little goes a long way
Adds shine
Nice fragrance
Doesn't tangle the hair
Cleanses skin of dry and dead skin
Nice quality
Less hair loss after using
Cons:

"Jillian here with some not so fun, unpopular and frightening news. Did you know that Bath & Body works products are actually not recommended to use while pregnant? Yeah, neither did I because I never thought to read their safety data sheets. Like oh, if it’s on the shelves it must be OK for the human body, right? No. Not right. Straight from their safety data sheet it reads and I quote, “suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child” and, “may cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure.” I’m sorry, come again??? The products that have been US glorified FOR YEARS because “they smell good” or, “they have the best candles” have a warning label that use could harm an unborn child, a woman’s hormones AND their organs? Cost and where to buy: It is priced around 200-250 pesos and can be seen at any Watsons branch.
My thoughts
I was looking for a new hair shampoo to address my oily and dandruff-prone hair. I wasn't actively looking for one but a trusted influencer promoted this product on Instagram and I instantly grabbed one of my own. The Aloe Vera factor is what really caught my attention because I already knew that it's a miracle product that can address my hair issues, I just haven't found a perfect one that is packaged like this.
Observations upon use: At first, I expected the consistency that it will look and feel like an aloe vera leaf gel, although, it is a little bit runny compared to an aloe vera leaf gel. One pump is definitely not enough to reach a good lather to the hair even if you have short hair. I would recommend 2-4 pumps, depending on how much and how long is your hair. Overall, I can say that my scalp felt nice - soothed and clean - after using it.
What I like about the product: I like that for its price, it does its job really well. My scalp definitely didn't feel oily during the day compared to when I used other shampoos. Also, two huge factors why I like it so much are that it is a sustainable product and vegan.
What I disliked about the product: I think what I didn't like about it is that you need to use a large amount of product for it to lather properly.
Recommendation and Ratings
Recommendation: I think one recommendation would be on its packaging. I know that pumps are very convenient when trying to gather products during our showers, however, I wished it didn't come with a pump because pumps are really not that sustainable. I would recommend disregarding the pump and just having a cap on it.

Stringent regulations on chemical usage, waste disposal, and sustainability practices can increase compliance costs for manufacturers, potentially leading to higher product prices to offset these expenses. Conversely, advancements in green chemistry and sustainable practices may lower production costs over time, influencing Tetrasodium EDTA prices downward as efficiency improves.
Market competition also plays a crucial role in determining Tetrasodium EDTA prices. Manufacturers and suppliers vie for market share through pricing strategies that reflect production efficiency, brand reputation, and customer relationships. Price wars or strategic alliances among industry players can lead to temporary price fluctuations as companies adjust to maintain profitability and market position.
For consumers and businesses alike, understanding the factors influencing Tetrasodium EDTA prices is essential for strategic planning and budgeting. Monitoring global market trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements can provide insights into future pricing trends. Collaboration between suppliers and consumers to optimize supply chain efficiencies and mitigate risks can also help stabilize prices amidst market volatility.

Oh goodness, I don’t like being the bearer of bad news- I often get asked if our soap is more beneficial than a specific store-bought soap that claims to be helpful for sensitive skin. I'm not particularly eager to name names. However, I will say this soap's name starts with a D and rhymes with the word love. Ok, ok, I'll state it for educational purposes, DOVE. I'm against being ugly to another company that I'm sure worked and fought hard to accomplish their highly known name. In the same way, I am working now. However, many of us have sensitive, dry, irritated, or eczema-prone skin. That's why I’m merely going to explain Doves ingredients in comparison to our soap ingredients. I'm writing this in hopes it will clear up the confusion. Let's begin by comparing the ingredients. Dove Sensitive Skin Unscented Beauty Bar Ingredients - Per their website, as of November, 2020 * Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate - a synthetic detergent * Stearic Acid - a saturated fatty acid * Sodium Tallowate or Sodium Palmitate - saponified tallow or saponified palm oil * Lauric Acid - a saturated fatty acid * Sodium Isethionate - a detergent surfactant * Water * Sodium Stearate - an emulsifier * Cocamidopropyl Betaine - a surfactant * Sodium Cocoate or Sodium Palm Kernelate - saponified coconut oil or Saponified palm kernel oil * Sodium Chloride - salt * Tetrasodium EDTA - a preservative * Tetrasodium Etidronate - a preservative * Maltol - a flavoring agent * Titanium Dioxide - a coloring agent Oatmeal Honey Goat Milk Soap from Natural Desires Soap Company * Saponified Coconut Oil * Saponified Extra Virgin Olive * Raw Goat Milk * Oatmeal * Honey Saponified means that sodium hydroxide (lye) has chemically turned the ingredients into soap. There is no such thing as soap without lye. However, after about three days there is no lye present in our soap. This is why it isn't required to be listed as an ingredient. Our Oatmeal Honey Goat Milk Soap has five straightforward, easily recognized ingredients. Unfortunately, the Dove soap ingredient list contains chemicals and preservatives. Oatmeal Honey Goat Milk Soap is our gentlest soap with the fewest ingredients. Your Messy Soap Maker, Nicole (at Jacksonville, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIBqOhOphUv/?igshid=8w3noxt3ec13

Budget Beauty for $10 or Less: Hask Hair Masks
Hooray for budget beauty! In this new series, we talk about sweet finds you can get for $10 or less.
You guys! I’m sitting here running my fingers through my hair thinking, “All this softness for $1.99. ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE PENNIES,” because last night I did a Hask hair mask. They have a few different versions, and I used the Coconut Oil one. Now my hair feels silky soft, but not in the way that feels like your hair is coated in sedimentary layers of silicone… The tangles and knots are gone, and the obnoxious white ramen noodle flyaways in my hairline — which normally stick up at every unfortunate angle you can imagine — are relatively tame and smooth and lying in one direction (SAY WHAT?!).
Inactive ingredients Aqua/Water/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Quaternium-18, Gardenia Taitensis (Monoi) Flower Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil, Vaccinium Myrtillus (Bilberry) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Panthenyl Hydroxypropyl Steardimonium Chloride, Isopropyl Palmitate, Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids, Silk Amino Acids, Sodium Pca, Tetrasodium Edta, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Chlorphenesin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum/Fragrance
If your hair is feeling dry and/or in need of some serious TLC, all you need is 10 minutes and a generous coating of this thick conditioner.

Green Washing
Greenwashing, also called “green sheen”, is a form of spin in which green PR or green marketing is deceptively used to promote the perception that an organization’s products, aims or policies are environmentally friendly and healthy for us humans.
In 2009, over 2,219 products made green claims and 98% were guilty of greenwashing. Studies show that indoor cleaning products (surface sprays, bathroom disinfectants, dish soap, etc.) are the worst offenders when it comes to making baseless claims of health and sustainability.
One product from who call themselves ”… Organics” (l don’t want to name them as l may get sued) and they produce many products one of which are Sensitive skin wipes.
These wipes contain, among a long list (see below) METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE:
Known human immune toxicant or allergen European SCCS Human skin toxicant or allergen – strong evidence Cosmetic Ingredient Review Assessments
METHYLCHLOROISOTHIAZOLINONE:
Banned for use in Europe and restricted for use in China and USA Restricted in cosmetics (recommendations or requirements) – use, concentration, or manufacturing restrictions – Japan – concentration limit in some types of cosmetics when combined with certain other ingredient(s) Japan’s Standards for Cosmetics
Other HIGH concerns: Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs); Other LOW concerns: Ecotoxicology
Ingredient list of sensitive wipes: Water Sodium Laureth Sulfate Cocamidopropyl Betaine Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate Sodium Chloride Parfum (Fragrance) Glycerin Citric Acid Tetrasodium EDTA Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) Hydrolysed Wheat Protein

A lot of these products are designed to look “Earthy”, with brown or green graphic elements on their packaging and use the word “organic” or “contains essential oils”. Lush Lime Shower Smoothie
Tumblr media
Yet another Kitchen item, this was another recent snag from the Lush Kitchen we all love and worship. Don’t mind how messy and sad mine looks. I actually snagged it in a trade already a little past expiration, and then found out it was going to be in the Kitchen the very next week. Surprise, surprise, my luck yet again is so good! Either way, I got a great deal on it so who really cares, right?
Shower Smoothies are like a moisturizing shower gel on steroids, and go on your wet skin and are rinsed off, leaving you silky smooth all over your body. They come in a variety of scents, this one focusing more on Lime, Orange, Coconut, Grapefruit, and other amazing things! It’s a fruity concoction that’ll leave you very, very surprised at the scent alone. Other scents of Shower Smoothies include Almond and Coconut, Dreamwash, Turkish Delight, and African Paradise. In case you get addicted to Shower Smoothies, but you aren’t the biggest citrus fan, be sure to check out Dreamwash if you like Rose, or Turkish Delight if you like Jasmine!
How To : Like I mentioned before, Shower Smoothies are just like shower gels and shower creams with how they’re used. You apply them directly on your wet skin in the bath or shower, and rub them in. Some of them lather a little, some don’t at all. Don’t be alarmed! They’re more of a moisturizing in shower lotion rather than an actual wash. Once you’ve coated your entire body, it’s time to rinse! I personally like to use these after I’ve already cleansed with soaps, shower gels, or scrubs just because I like it to be the last thing on my skin so it absorbs and the scent remains. I like to leave it on for five to ten minutes, or at least until I’m done rinsing out my hair. Once you rinse off, dry yourself and see how you feel!
Scent : To be perfectly honest, I didn’t get a strong scent of lime like I was really expecting, which I can’t say is a complaint, but it’s also not a compliment. I’m really iffy with this scent, because it just seems so light and lacks that captivating aroma I usually love when it comes to Lush. It seems to just not give too much to your senses, which is on the disappointing side. I know, it’s scary when I don’t like a product. However, I do pick up a slight Strawberry scent, with a little Grapefruit undertone. That is about as far as this one goes with scent though, sadly as it is! If you’re looking for a powerful, citrusy scent, this one may not be for you.
Vegan : Yes!
Try Outs : When I broke this one open in the shower, the scent was definitely a disappointment. However, keep in mind I’m also a fan of those overpowering scents people also tend to hate, so don’t take that to heart.
I got right to rubbing this one all over my body, and it seemed a tad runny to me. I’m used to the consistency of Dreanwash or Turkish Delight, which is almost like a thick frosting. However, this one was a bit thicker than a shower gel, which really put me off. It also didn’t feel like anything was on my skin when I was rinsing it off, which was very concerning.
Mind you, I did do the trial run with both the expired and new product, and each one was the same for me, which was shocking. When I dried myself off, it almost felt like I had done nothing to my skin. I wasn’t moisturized at all, which is a big issue for a shower smoothie.
Ingredients :  Fresh Butternut Squash Infusion, Glycerine, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Rapeseed Oil and Coconut Oil, Fresh Organic Lime Juice, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Fresh Strawberries, Water, Grapefruit Oil, Orange Flower Absolute, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, *Limonene, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
The main citrusy scents that are supposed to come through in this shower smoothie are Lime Juice, Strawberries, Grapefruit, and Orange. There is also Rapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil which are all great moisturizers.
Rating : Overall, I actually have to say that this may have been the only product I’ve tried so far, besides when I used a product wrong, that I just don’t like at all. I think that it’s way too thin and the scent just isn’t there. I think that if it were thicker, and absorbed into the skin better, it would definitely have more potential to be a winner in my book.
It just didn’t seem to want to take to skin, and rinsed off almost, if not completely. It really didn’t live up to its name for me, but maybe it’s just me! Maybe you guys will absolutely love it and I’m the odd one out! Always trust your gut when it comes to trying new products. However, I would suggest trying to get a sample of this from someone you know before trying it, in case it isn’t your thing either!
