Year 1588 Part 2:

TW/CW: Infant Death

Unfortunately at only three months old Osbert passed away. Philippa could only hold Terric even closer to her following her oldest son’s death. 

Soon though she found solace in the company of a local named Hasegawa Yoshio. He didn’t seem to mind that she was a single mother of now two surviving children, he was more than happy to spend time with the kids as well which was a good sign. 

Philippa knew that her sisters were waiting for Terric to grow old enough to travel so they could return home but now that Yoshio was in her life she started to wonder if she ever wanted to leave Mt.Komorebi. 

Back in Tartosa, Rachel celebrated her thirteenth birthday while Clemence turned six. In Henford, Josian had gotten married into the Blair family. The family was constantly growing and changing. 

Philippa hated missing milestones for her family but with each passing day she knew in her heart that Mt.Komorebi was her home.

Year 1588 Part 1:

Adrian and Barnaby celebrated their thirteenth birthday with their mother, Grandfather, Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. It was a joyous event and Wilmot was happy to see her late husband in her boys as they grew now that it had been a year since his passing. 

Matilda turned one to the joy of her mother and luckily the dogs Cecily kept got on well with the toddler. 

Susanna celebrated her sixth birthday with her family present though Adrian and John couldn’t help but think about how Elizabeth would have loved to see her grow. 

Cuthbert also turned one though it seemed he took a lot after his father as opposed to his mother. 

It wasn’t made into a big festivity but Julian and Josian Carlisle also celebrated their eighteenth birthday. 

Philippa was terrified when she went into labor again with her sons but was delighted to welcome Osbert and Terric Suzuki into the world with the name of the person she knew to be responsible for them.

1500-1599 Recap Part 77:

Janet Silversweater became a child and might be the best blend of her parents genetics of her siblings. 

Philippa had her son Kei as Parnell, Thomasin and Elric arrived in Windenburg.

Parnell expanded her business and fell in love with Daryl Akiyama I SAID IT BEFORE THESE AKIYAMAS ARE EVERYWHERE. I wouldn’t be so annoyed about it if they weren’t constantly coming out of the woodwork there’s no end to them and I didn’t keep track of who each of them are related to lol. My real issue is with my perfectionism really. 

Anyways, Elric died which I know is right before the Plague. 

Sarah’s twins became toddlers.

1500-1599 Recap Part 76:

Osbert unfortunately passed away failing his infancy roll. 

Clemence became a child. 

Philippa and Yoshio married in a dirty leaf pile which is apparently peak romance. I’m surprised they didn’t marry in the bathroom considering how romantic bathrooms are for sims. The legacy still has a while to go, I’m certain that some one will get married in the bathroom one of these days. 

I checked in on Sarah and she was pregnant and had a boyfriend?! So I got them married and then realized that her husband is technically Benedict’s cousin. 

Terric became a toddler. If Philippa had been the heir which I was on the fence about, Terric would have been the generation five heir. 

Samuel, Sybil, and Florence became teenagers. 

Sarah gave birth to twin girls.

1500-1599 Recap Part 75:

Benedict Soto became a child sadly his twin did not make it to his child stage thanks to his toddler roll but I blamed it on the famine. 

Agnes Voss, Adrian Jaleel and Barnaby Jaleel all became teenagers. 

Susanna became a child followed by Cuthbert and Matilda becoming toddlers. 

Rachel soon became a teenager as well. I think she ended up as a good blend of features from her parents. 

Philippa then had her second set of twins Osbert and Terric.

Year 1594 Part 1:

Samuel and Sybil celebrated their eighteenth birthday though it was good timing since the house was starting to get into dire straights which Samuel decided the best thing to do was to get a job to support his mother and sister. 

Following getting his job Samuel proposed to the youngest Upton girl and the two quickly wed which was nice for Margaret to see at least one of her children married. 

Terric also had a birthday and was more than happy to celebrate his sixth birthday with his sister and brothers though now that Philippa was putting him to lessons the younger boys were more keen to play with each other than him. 

In Glimmerbrook, Sarah once again went into labor and delivered a little girl she and her husband named Muriel.

Year 1590 Part 2:

TW/CW: Child Death

Kei celebrated his first birthday as the first child to grow up looking quite a bit like his mother much to Philippa’s delight. She wouldn’t say the words aloud of course but she was a bit disappointed when her older children ended up taking after their other parents.

Soon after the birthday Philippa began to experience a familiar nausea and was happy to be expecting though she was quickly worried about having four young children at once though she settled her nerves knowing that Parnell at least would be six before the year was over with. 

Unfortunately while most of the family was having good luck, Thomasin was not. She hadn’t noticed while spending time with Parnell that Elric had been eating strange plants and the boy quickly took ill. It wasn’t long before he slipped away from them. Thomasin lamented being alone and took to never letting her bed go empty after her son was buried. 

Parnell felt guilty that she was expecting a child while her sister had just lost one. She worried for her sister but wondered if it was the work of the watcher since her sister kept having children out of wedlock with no intention marry like she had heard the priests in Henford and Tartosa say. She spent many days praying for the safety of her unborn child and for Thomasin to heal from her grief.

Year 1601:

TW/CW: Stillbirth, Infant Death, Death Mention

The year began with Larissa informing the family through Talia’s tome that she had gotten married to a man named Dereck Applegate though she did reveal that they had gotten married the previous July but she was being cautious about revealing good news. 

Adrian was happy for his Aunt since she had lost so much already, he hadn’t been around for nearly as long as her but he could imagine that starting fresh was hard when you lived for, essentially, ever. Agustin was getting into a rhythm as a father which was nice to see as Adrian began to get the feeling that he wasn’t going to be around for too much longer to help out. He had gotten some energy back after resting but he found himself tiring more easily than before. 

Terric became a teenager.

Florence and her husband had been expecting but they were devastated when their daughter, Beatrice, was stillborn. 

Benedict and his wife were not big on the idea of parenthood but things happen and their daughter, Artemisia, was born that March. With his daughter, Benedict was content to not having anymore. His wife wasn’t as against to children as he was and maybe her mind would change but for the time being, one was plenty. 

April brought with it Adrian and Ashlie having their son, Edwin. It was sad how frail the child was though and as devastating as it was to lose him that August, it wasn’t a surprise. 

With both of her siblings losing their children, Clemence was understandably rattled when she discovered her pregnancy and she was more bothered by the idea of being a mother. She loved her husband but she had never wanted children but he was the head of the household and had to provide an heir. She was starting to second guess her impulsive marriage but since her feelings for John himself hadn’t changed, she just decided to hope for a son and look into hiring a nanny for when their baby was born. She felt a little better when Brooklyn learned of her own pregnancy since while Brooklyn’s pregnancy was intentional, they both were worried considering the recent losses. 

It didn’t help that Cecily’s brother William died at the end of the year either.

Surviving Family:

Talia’s eldest child, Thomas Carlisle married Isabel Goth and the couple had six children before Isabel’s death. Anthony, Andrew, Agnes, Adam, Allen, and Arthur. Unfortunately both Adam and Allen passed away as children. After Isabel’s death, Thomas remarried Margery Thorne and the couple had two sons, Adrian and Ambrose. 

Adrian(pictured first) had six children together with Samara Ernest; Margaret, Roger, Thomasin, Parnell, Philippa, and Catherine. Unfortunately both Roger and Catherine did not survive to adulthood. Adrian also had a son with Layla Jang named Solomon who died in the first plague event. His daughter with Clemence Silversweater, Wilmot died in the second plague event. He also had a daughter, Audrey, with Julian Laurent die as an infant though her twin, Maria grew up to have children of her own. He had an additional daughter with Tomi Markovic named Cecily who has children of her own. Adrian’s eldest daughter, Elizabeth, died as a young woman and her mother was also Samara’s mother, Rachel Ernest. 

Thomasin Carlisle had eight children before she died. Her daughter, Christina, died shortly after her first birthday and both of her twins, Bela and Elric died before reaching childhood. Then she had Frideswide was born who is pictured next to her other surving daughter, Grace. After having Grace, Thomasin married Agustin Tellez (pictured beneath Thomasin’s daughters) who took her name and they had triplet boys, Francisco, Ramon, and Vincente who are not pictured due to being infants. Then Thomasin died of birth complications. 

Philippa is pictured underneath Agustin and she had seven children. Her firstborn, Samara, died from the birth but Samara’s twin, Parnell Jernigan, is pictured next to her brother, Terric Suzuki, who also had his twin, Osbert, die as an infant. Then Philippa married to Yoshio who I forgot to take a picture of. Philippa had three children with her husband, their daughter Ai died as an infant but their sons Kei and Satoshi are pictured last beneath their siblings.

1500-1599 Recap Part 80:

Cecily had her final twins since she rolled to have four children, these two make four. 

Thomasin had her youngest daughter Grace. 

Terric became a child and I think he looks quite a bit like his mother. 

Samuel married Aniyah and they happen to be third cousins, I feel like that’s far enough apart. The family tree branches are beginning to intertwine but in a small community that’s an inevitability. 

Sarah lost her third child shortly after her birth. 

Wilmot’s sons both got married and sadly Barnaby’s eldest child died. 

Benedict became a teenager though.

Year 1592 Part 1:

TW/CW: Death Mention, Infant Death

The plague continued to sweep through the family as news of Ellen’s son’s passing spread as well as Alice Dalton being widowed. Janet’s daughter Alice celebrated her thirteenth birthday as a brief change of pace. Philip also turned one and thankfully got along great with his older brother though the age gap would have also made sense if they were father and son as well so their brotherly bond was a bit odd. 

But sadly Ai passed away a few months before her first birthday from the plague only confirming Philippa’s fears about her twins. As sad as it was it was thankfully the only loss their little family suffered from the plague which could have been much worse for them.

Lettice’s other son passed away shortly after his brother as the plague took him. News that Wilmot’s brother and daughter also passed came through the mail as well. 

The Ember family suffered large losses though as all of Joyce’s children who had outlived her died one after the other to the plague in a matter of days as did David’s daughter. David Ember was survived by his expecting wife and son though. While the loss was massive there were talks not long after of having the new widow remarry Stephen after things settled. 

Karina and Marielle’s household was almost entirely decimated as Karina, her husband, Marielle and her husband all died. Though Marielle left her only son in the care of her sister Audrey who had recently had her own son. 

Only a short paragraph was written in Talia’s tome from Larissa, one of the boys had died of plague and the location of his grave. But when investigated they did find the grave but no sign of Larissa or his brother. Though they considered it a good sign for the child that he was faring well. 

Satoshi turned one but due to his young age was left behind a bit from his brothers who were more interested in each other. 

Joyce Carlisle turned thirteen as well though she felt out of place as Seema continued to mourn her only daughter and Gilbert was upset that Seema still hadn’t accepted Joyce as a part of the family.

Year 1589 Part 1:

Terric celebrated his first birthday which let Philippa breathe a sigh of relief now that he was older but like any parent she still worried for her son. She worried a bit more for her own sanity as she discovered that she was with child once more but unlike when she was carrying the boys, she was a bit more relaxed about her pregnancy this time around though she still worried. 

Margaret’s twins celebrated their thirteenth birthday with both of them looking quite a bit like their father. Margaret worried though about the future, they had been spared too much grief from the famine from the reserves Raphael had left behind but that was dwindling fast, she wondered if she should marry again or ration their supplies further but they still had some time before things would get absolutely dire though.

Year 1606 Part 2:

Francisco began to study harder than the rest of his siblings and often slept while they played. They were still young but thinking about the future was on their minds considering that most of their lives would be in the future after all. 

Vincente didn’t know what he wanted to do but he did know that he wanted to see the stars. His cousins were proof that there was more out there than could be seen from their swingset and he wanted to explore them if he could figure out how. 

On June 23rd, Larissa went into labor and for the first time, beyond her expectations, she delivered twins. Hestor and Anias. She had prepared two cribs because Philip and his wife were also expecting but it was a pleasant surprise to welcome a daughter and a son. They could get another crib for the Pancakes baby.

Terric soon shared news that he had gone on a bit of a journey himself and brought home his wife Deborah Jang, now Suzuki.
