Failed to mention the ending of the episode when Enid and Wednesday have the falling out

Enid: I've tried really really really hard to be your friend

Wednesday: I never asked you to

Enid : you didn't have to because that's what friends do and the fact that you don't know that says everything

And the subsequent episode when Wednesday sees Xavier in the nightshade library and honestly just anytime she talks to Xavier and she's always against him but he doesn't want to give up on her no matter what.

Like YES thank you for finally having a main character that doesn't have perfect relationships and is struggling to understand the concept of friendship and doesn't realize that they don't understand until it blows up in their face and is sad because they now understand but still refuse to fix it because of principal but also partly because of guilt and regret and not wanting to say they were wrong

But MOST importantly thank you for having the characters friends come back because they know their friend is hurting and they know their friend was struggling to navigate relationships and is still struggling to learn how to exist with others and they know their friend needs them and wants them to be there but just doesn't know how to say it

It's so refreshing to see a character that isn't "devious" on purpose

Episode 6 of Wednesday is great when they break into the mansion

Wednesday: I didn't want a party or a dinner, I want to do this.

Tyler: ok but you didn't have to trick us.

And when they see the car

Enid: we need to call Tylers dad

Wednesday: why?! So he can get me expelled?

Okay so I’ve previously said on tumblr that people should listen to more Australian pub rock and stuff (essentially more Australian music other than like AC/DC) well here’s some of my recommendations (in no particular order):

(Imo live version of jump in my car is just alright, studio version imo is much better but they took it off Spotify)

Before: a psychological thriller miniseries worth watching

Before is an upcoming 10-episode psychological thriller miniseries that will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 25, 2024. The series stars Billy Crystal as Eli, a recently widowed child psychiatrist who encounters a troubled young boy named Noah (Jacobi Jupe) with a mysterious connection to Eli's past. As Eli attempts to help Noah, their bond deepens.

Before was created by Sarah Thorp, who also serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. The series was originally set to be directed by Barry Levinson, but Adam Bernstein took over directing the pilot after Levinson exited the project. Filming began in May 2023 in New Jersey under the working title Winston, but went on hiatus during the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike before resuming in December 2023 and January 2024.

Exploration

The series Before explores themes of grief and psychology through its central character, Eli, a child psychiatrist grappling with the loss of his wife. This personal tragedy profoundly affects his emotional state and professional life, allowing the narrative to delve into the complexities of grief.

Eli's experience of grief is multifaceted, encompassing acute grief following his wife's death and the longer-term process of adaptation. Release

The first two episodes of Before will premiere on October 25, 2024, with subsequent episodes released weekly on Fridays through December 20. Online Media Safety Bill

Sensitive information, thats the stamp thats put on any info your government dont like. With the new Online Media Safety bill that UK gov pushed through (its for your safety)....run like hell when they say that, it was the magic phrase used in covid to get everybody jabbed up with toxic vaccines (look whats been declared in court about Astra Zenica vaccine...its an unsafe vaccine) the gov can disallow anything said online they dont like. So any particular thing can be said to be a threat to gov line for instance, can be withdrawn from the internet.

In the dark distant past governments had a bit of trouble with headlines, in the cases of Jeremy Thorp accused of the murder of his young male lover in 1975, Cyril Smith and his child sexual abuse (said to have been common knowledge in Parliament by MPs in 1992), Ted Heath the prime minister and his yacht trips with young boys (11 went out & 10 returned) headlines said "Was he a serial pedophile" in the early 70s.

These are some of the headlines that would probably be withdrawn from online media in Nov 23, since the passing of the online safety bill.....safety for who I hear you cry....well its not us, its gov who benefits from certain stories NOT being circulated.

How to Foster Creativity in Yourself

The blank white screen, blinking cursor, and impending due dates stare back at me as if my computer was a mirror illuminating my stressed and anxious reflection. Often times my projects don't begin until after a great amount of mental prodding, encouragement, and enforcement, internally reassuring myself things will seem easier once I start them, usually proving myself correct.

You see, having chronic anxiety does not make it easy to express any idea, let alone one that could be experimental, personal, or show vulnerability. It can be easy to convince yourself that any direction you go could be considered wrong and will leave you feeling embarrassed, until you’ve stopped thinking about ideas for the project and started imagining your downfall.

That’s why I try very hard to remind myself an idea is just the start of something, ideas can be changed, revised, adjusted, and built on. Every great thing which has happened or been thought of has started out with just one simple idea, so it never hurts to put something down on the page and go from there. I like to imagine my creative process like a snowball rolling down a hill, requiring great force and moving slowly at first until it starts to move and gain traction, picking up more snow as it goes until it can’t be stopped.

In Twyla Tharp’s novel, "The Creative Habit", she discusses how her creative routines have helped shape her decades-long dance and choreography career which have taken her all across the world. Chapter 6, “scratching,” does a wonderful job of illustrating how full of inspiration the world around us is. You really can find a way to turn almost any interaction, object, or moment into artistic fuel. On page 98 she states, “Without the little ideas, there are no big ideas,” and this encouraged me to keep giving time and space to all the small ideas in my head, on the off chance they become something even more insightful than I first imagined.

Over time I have found certain situations inspire me when I am facing a blockage of creativity. Something about late nights, city lights, long drives, and new situations (people, places, experiences) always fill me with a sense of urgency, like there’s ideas all around me that I could grab onto and expand upon, ideas that could carry me away to other thoughts like bouquets of balloons in the sky.

Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the novel "Eat, Pray, Love", reflected on some of her fears and other peoples’ fears that were being projected onto her of that novel being the greatest success of her writing career. She went on to explain how creativity can be seen as something you can tap into rather than what you are, and used the phrase “having a genius,” meaning that you can experience random, beautiful moments of creativity at any time in your life, describing the moment an idea strikes and how fleeting it can be.

In the career field I am in, marketing and communications, one might wonder how important it really is to harness creativity within myself and the teams that I lead. To someone wondering about that, I would argue that any career field can improve from forming habits that can help you find creative, innovative solutions to everyday problems.

One of the most important ideas discussed by "The Creative Habit", which Twyla Thorp preaches throughout each chapter, is that anybody can benefit from going on a journey to reignite their flame for discovery. Through hard work and by building new routines, it is possible for anybody to start to feel that passion again, or for the very first time.
