Watching the series you clearly notice that they aren't the same. They share the love for technology but even in that case they show it differently. indeed tecna is an IT while Timmy is a mechanic engineer. Flora x Helia and Aisha x Nabu feel more like the same person.

How the couples from Winx would enjoy their halloween party:

Bloom & Sky as princess and prince would enjoy their night with their friends and distribute some candy

Stella & Brandon as mermaid and pirate would crack jokes and be the light of the party (Stella would make Brandon carry her)

Flora & Helia as Mickey and Minnie, they would be the mom and the dad of the party 🤣

Tecna & Timmy as a zombie and a heroine on an apocalypse! They would choose the movie the group would eventually watch at the end of the party

Aisha & Nabu as a cute witch and a handsome wizard, they would dance most of the part

Musa & Riven as red riding hood and wolf! they would play instruments and sing during the party

at the end of the party they would decide to watch a horror movie how each couple would react:

Skloom: Would try to pay attention but would get distracted waiting for the scary parts and cover their faces and snuggling at each other

Brella: Stella would still be glued to Brandon, both would fall for the jumpscares but would laugh right after

Florelia: Would pay attention to the plot and discuss about it after with everyone

Tecmy: Would totally pay more attention to the special effects than anything else and would discuss about it between themselves and eventually laugh about their own cute nerdiness

Rivusa: Would wait for the other get scared and laugh at their reaction affectionately

Aisha and Nabu: Would be the ones who enjoyed the movie the most and Nabu would comfort Aisha each time he notices she got scared

The relationship of Tecna and Timmy is so romantic.

It may be not as visible, because the show has couples being romantic in a more classical way, but Timmy and Tecna actually have so many tender, gentle and vulnerable moments. They are so sweet together, and awkward, and then out of nowhere hit you with the deepest scenes imaginable. They are so Jane-Austen's-characters'-coded lol.

Like this short scene of a game from season 2 (first gif)??? This is so romantic and sensual, you wouldn't expect it from them.

Their conflict in the second season was that Tecna at first cared about rather performative bravery (literal fighting, close combat) + wanted something more than just talking about their hyperfixation. Timmy, on the other hand, thought in a more logical way: he knew his strengths, and that he's better at strategy and computers, and wasn't interested in posing as a hero just to feel good about himself (this scene where he realizes he isn't strong enough against Trix and so he gives away the Codex). He also wanted to get closer to Tecna, so it makes sense he tried to connect on their common hobby, at first not realizing that Tecna, with her emotional growth, started to want a little more than this. And you can understand them both, and both have good points.

And Timmy is a freaking badass. He always thinks logically (I'd argue that even more than Tecna, like this scene with Codex, where she called him a coward for not doing something that was doomed from the start), and so the scene in the third season hits so much. You know which one. All Winx cry and Riven tries to comfort Timmy (I really like the fact it's Riven who does that btw, but this is a material for another post), trying to bring reason to him, politely saying that there's no way Tecna is still alive, and Timmy says in a calm and sure way that he knows she is alive. If Timmy says something like that, you know he's right.

I guess the scene from the second season, when Winx go to fight Lord Darkar and specialists stay at the back, sums up their relationship in the best way: Timmy stays inside the ship, because it is his role to navigate it, and he and Tecna look at each other, just sighing each other's names (though they cannot hear it). Their love is so, so deep. And a relationship like the one they have wouldn't fit everyone, since both of them don't need to spend as much time together as others, nor do they have to say as much (but if they say how much they love each other, oh they say it), and they both share their hyperfixation/special interest, but all of this works perfectly for them. They're a match made in heaven. And come to think of that, we have this popular fanon that Tecna is on the spectrum of autism, but I wonder if there is any fanon like this for Timmy? I also feel like being demisexual or graysexual fits them both (maybe I just like the idea of Tecna, a character whose main arc is understanding and expressing emotions, feeling sexual desire only to someone who she has a strong connection with, I guess it feels kinda poetic to me).

Elsewhere in the field, the Trix had gotten their dragodons back under control and were riding them amongst the other creatures in the direction of the log structure.

“Bloom has to be in there,” Icy hissed, still dripping wet.  “She has to be.”

“Alright, next phase,” Timmy murmured to Tecna who nodded.  He got to his feet and climbed down from the roof.

“Hey!” he yelled, waving his arms to get their attention.

Their eyes zeroed in on him, and Stormy even hissed a little, as if incensed by the mere sight of him.  The confrontation from the Veritas Chamber flashed in Timmy’s mind and his shoulders involuntarily squared; he wasn’t letting anything like that happen again.  He started to make his move the way they’d planned, edging away from the log structure.

“Focus on tearing that play fort apart,” Icy snapped, even as she watched Timmy with hateful eyes.

“But we can’t pass up a nerd run,” Stormy whined.

“No, we can’t,” Darcy snarled, and she urged her dragodon after Timmy, who had broken into a jog across the field.

Icy looked torn for only a moment longer, before she too turned her dragodon away from the log cabin.

“Nerd run!  Nerd run!” Stormy screeched with screams of laughter as all three of them forced their dragodons to run after Timmy who was forced into a flat out sprint just to stay ahead.

Tecna watching it all go down from the roof, found herself on her knees, hands over her mouth in horror.  And the scream that came from her as she watched them bear down on him was wrenched completely involuntarily from her throat: “Timmy!”

best winx club couple, argue with the wall.

no love triangles (luckily s8 didn't do anything weird with orion), no miscomunication plots all the time (they argued once but it wasn't related to their love story, it was more about tecna's vision of warriors and of timmy), they understand each other, they have something in common to talk about, they are so cute togetherr

unfortunately in later seasons the creators reset their relationship but they still somehow work

i like them the best in season 3 and 4, especially in season 4 you see they are confident with each other <3
