There are people in this world who approach all communication as a form of intellectual combat which is "won" by deliberately providing the most obstructive and least informative possible answer which technically satisfies the precise letter of the stated request, and literally all of them are on Stack Overflow.

Properly Conducted Managed IT Services Bring Immense Value
Tumblr media
Even the most technology-literate of your average employees is not going to have the knowledge needed to manage and maintain your entire business infrastructure, and you shouldn’t expect them to, either. It takes a special kind of attention and training to manage complicated enterprise-level technology, but how can you make sure your business has access to these important resources?
Perhaps the best solution to this challenge lies in managed IT services. If you support your business with the appropriate technology expertise, even a small business like yours can leverage enterprise-grade solutions to push beyond your competition and make waves in your specified industry.
Small businesses in particular benefit from access to managed IT for one very specific reason: they have fewer resources at their disposal. Consider larger organizations that have a lot more throwaway capital. They can afford to make mistakes and have more wiggle room in their budgets compared to the small business, where even an investment in needed technology can feel like a stretch. Oftentimes, businesses that are in dire straits turn to IT—one of the more costly parts of a business—to start their cuts. This is the wrong way to look at it, though. If implemented appropriately, IT can save your business money in the long run.
Large organizations might be able to hire full, in-house IT departments, something which even the most well-off small businesses can struggle with. A full IT department means that work is getting done more efficiently and more regularly, but most small businesses might only have one or two technicians, if any. Small teams can feel stretched even under the best of circumstances, bogged down by requests for help from other staff members and general network maintenance. It doesn’t take much to see how certain tasks can slip through the cracks.
The answer is clear: you need more people on-hand to help with all of your business’ technology challenges. You can’t hire additional technicians, as the search and the cost of hiring anyone worthwhile will probably break your budget, but you can’t put off this incredibly important part of your business’ upkeep.
A great solution is managed IT services, where you receive all the technology help you need without breaking the bank or going through a long and grueling hiring process. Instead, you get instant access to trained and experienced technicians who want to help your business thrive. Without having to worry about your technology, you can focus on what makes your business stand out and stand apart from the competition.
With Infradapt on your side, you can focus on your own services and expertise without the distractions that come from technology management and maintenance. Even if you have an internal IT department, we’d bet they would love a hand or two with some of the more complex projects on their plates, like implementing innovative new solutions or even simple tasks like patch deployment. Give us a call at 484-546-2000 to get them that help.

Brother- I keep on seeing people who think Jason can’t use technology bc he died.
Bro was trained by Batman and is a current vigilante?? He definitely has a better understanding of engineering and technology than most average people.
What I can see is him having no clue what’s going on on social media. Bro doesn’t have the free time and the gap he has in current events is def discouraging him.
Jason has the MySpace account he created pre-crowbar and he still thinks vine exists.

not to be, like, politiquelle in my discussion of the response to famously non-political show Netflix Arcane™
but it's so genuinely unsettling to see people who would probably characterise themselves as Nice Liberals with the Right Liberal Opinions turn around in the year of our lord 2024-2025 and without a single moment's hesitation, employ rhetoric like
criminals are not civilians, and if you commit a crime, the police can take away whatever rights they want
drone gas strikes save lives, the ONLY alternative to drone gas strikes is boots-on-the-ground military action, there's NO OTHER WAY
(and we know there's no other way because the people who wanted to do the strikes said so, please don't question this false dichotomy)
gas is a precision weapon. we can program gas to only hit terrorists and criminals, actually
and if any children or factory workers or non-violent offenders or bartenders are harmed, well, then they should have thought of that before being terrorists and criminals
(remember, this is the ONLY WAY. don't think about the fact that attacks are seemingly happening out of a desire for independence and that every councillor still alive already voted for independence, this is THE ONLY WAY)
how do we know everyone in that building we hit was a terrorist and a criminal? well, intelligence reports allowed us to designate that building a terrorist and criminal hideout. so, ipso facto, everyone in it must have been a terrorist and a criminal. QED.
no civilians were harmed in the making of this precision attack :)
those who say civilians were harmed as a result of this precision attack are making up the numbers :)
this is the ONLY WAY :)
please do not talk about alternative solutions. there is no other way. look at the rainbow flag sticker on this gun!
truly, this is the most moral army in the world

One of the fun things about web development these days is that nothing is self-contained anymore and there are so many layers of middleware talking to middleware talking to middleware that even "turning it off and back on again" has become an expert-level troubleshooting step because identifying exactly what needs to be turned off and back on again is a process in itself. I've been on multiple calls today alone where the resolution to a tech support issue has been "we restarted the XYZ", and the response from the client's own developers, who presumably set the stupid thing up in the first place, has been "we have an XYZ?"

Remember Glaze, the tool you can use to cloak your art and protect it from being scraped by AI?
There’s another tool out now, and it’s called Mist. From what’s written and what people are saying, it requires less processing power than Glaze and is faster. And apparently, it leaves less artifacts on flat artstyles (like mine).
Examples from their page:

I’ll try it myself today to be sure this is all real, but I wanted to share it with everyone as soon as I knew about it.
Protect your art by using Glaze or Mist (or anything like them that you know of) before uploading your work!

2025 Supported Org: Bellingcat
Over the past two decades, the American public’s faith in mainstream news organizations has dropped precipitously – in a 2023 Gallup survey, more than half of respondents indicated that they believe news organizations actively mislead the public. The major organs of mainstream media have made many choices that have cost them the public’s trust, often relying on the “both sides” model of reporting at the expense of a full and truthful picture and treating politics as a horse race.
But these organizations are also under significant pressure as they struggle to adapt to the radical technological shifts in our media environment. These shifts have cut into traditional revenue streams, driving news organizations toward the sort of reporting that will generate revenue. They have also created both the possibility of and the need for new approaches to reporting, and many legacy news outlets have struggled to adapt.
Tumblr media
Bellingcat is an independent investigative collective of researchers, investigators and citizen journalists that uses cutting-edge technology to engage in fact-checking and open-source intelligence investigation outside the apparatus of major journalistic publications. In addition to doing their own reporting, Bellingcat designs and shares verifiable methods of ethical digital investigation. By publishing walkthroughs to open source research methods and holding tailored training sessions on their use for journalists, human rights activists, and members of the public, they’re broadening the scope and application of open source research. Their research is regularly referenced by international media and has been cited by several courts and investigative missions.
Operating in a unique field where advanced technology, forensic research, journalism, transparency and accountability come together, Bellingcat believes in the need for collaboration and has partnered with news organisations across the globe. Likewise, Bellingcat’s Global Authentication Project (GAP) seeks to harness the power of the open source community by nurturing and encouraging a network of volunteer investigators. Their Justice & Accountability unit, meanwhile, seeks to demonstrate the viability of online open source information in judicial processes.
You can support Bellingcat as a creator in the 2025 FTH auction (or as a bidder, when the time comes to donate for the auctions you’ve won.)

Becoming deeply radicalized against the idea of crewed Mars missions, y'know how the Rovers keep sending back better and better data what if instead of that we made an even bigger one and devoted nearly 90% of its capacity to holding a guy in a bubble on top of it instead of sending back useful data, but wait! They'll eliminate like a half hour of latency and also almost certainly contaminate the landing site and possibly the entire planet, so it's not all downside.
#At least in the near term it's fucking pointless and the downsides are very large and very big#Quite frankly it is extraordinarily likely that the first people to arrive at mars will do so dead#Because they will have been sent by fucking idiots willing to take too large risks#But the good news is that the wreck will spread across and contaminate huge amounts of the martian biosphere#To the point that we will quite possibly never be able to discern the history of life on mars#But if they live at least they'll get to slightly reduce the latency on our telerobotic fleet!#And travel home with the samples I guess#Good thing Percy's tagging and bagging rocks that we just canceled the return trips for#At least once we fuck up the rest of the planet those will be sterile#Kinda still excited about Aritimis but also kinda becoming anti-human spaceflight in general#We should consider not doing that for a while and at most focus specifically on living on the moon in a controlled and limited fashion#Ground the whole fucking commercial fleet who gives a shit those capsules are both gonna get someone killed sooner rather than later#And it's not like we're learning a whole lot by having people on hand up there#They spend most of their time trying to keep the machines from falling apart#Which is the main thing people would be doing for three continuous years on the shortest possible mars mission#Like you could send a dozen rovers for the price of one crewed mission both mass and money-wise#And that's probably a lowball estimate even assuming more and more advances in rover technology#Which are happening a lot faster than the advances in life support technology#Right now we do not even have enough functioning space capsules at our low earth orbit space station#Starship HLS is a fucking joke#The whole thing reeks let's just stop sending people into space for a while what were we really getting out of it

Percy Jackson and the Inexplicable Curse of Technology
We need to talk about how Percy Jackson is cursed when it comes to technology. I’m convinced it’s an unspoken side effect of being the son of Poseidon. Like, water and electricity don’t mix? Well, Percy and tech definitely don’t either.
He’s the kind of guy who tries to send a text and the app crashes. The moment he touches a computer, it blue screens. Even the camp’s celestial bronze laptops? Yeah, Percy’s somehow managed to short-circuit three of those. Chiron gave up on him ever learning how to check his email, and let’s not even mention the time he tried to Facetime Annabeth. It was like watching static for ten minutes before the phone completely died.
Annabeth’s always been the one who has to fix everything. She’ll sit there, watching Percy try to reboot his phone for the umpteenth time, giving him that look™—you know, the “I love you, but how are you this helpless” expression. Of course, Percy just laughs it off with, “Guess I’ve got that Poseidon charm.” Annabeth tries to stay annoyed, but she can’t help but smile when he’s being that cute.
And don’t even get me started on how dangerous it gets when Percy’s actually near water with his phone or laptop. Like, one time he brought his phone to the beach, and five minutes later it was toast. He swears he didn’t drop it in the ocean, but somehow, the sea still managed to fry it. Probably Poseidon’s way of telling him, “Stick to your strengths, kid. Like battling monsters. Not… texting.”
Let's be real tho—Percy probably doesn’t mind the tech struggle all that much. He’s the guy who’d rather be out exploring the ocean or goofing off with his friends at camp than stuck in front of a screen. And, really, as long as he can still get Iris messages and, you know, save the world, who needs a working laptop anyway?
