after tech dies, wrecker, hunter and omega are all together at cid’s, but echo isn’t with them. he’s on the ship by himself.

which at first glance doesn’t seem that big of a deal. so what? why does it matter that he’s on the ship alone? he’s just grieving—

echo HATES being alone. he was isolated for months on skako and probably gets flashbacks whenever he’s alone or his trauma worsens. i mean we’ve seen how bad it is for him already.

i don’t even want to imagine what he put himself through by being alone AND full of grief

I love two peas in a pod Echo and Tech! I headcanon that Tech may have had suspicions of Echo at first, but once he realized the doubt was misplaced, he gave Echo his full attention and put in extra effort to help him acclimate to the squad. But that underlying snark between them may or may not be a result of that initial suspicion, but it's mutually done out of brotherly love now. 😄

Day two for neurodivergent Tech week…on day four 😅. The theme for day two was “comfort person,” and I’ve always loved the relationship between Echo and Tech. They bicker, they snark back and forth, but I always got the impression that it was because they really understood each other and were extremely comfortable in each other’s company. Two peas in a pod, really.
