Tea tree oil has antiseptic and antibacterial qualities that make it effective in treating skin infections and wounds. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness and swelling associated with blemishes or acne. In addition to its skincare benefits, tea tree oil has also been found to be useful in treating dandruff, and fungal infections like athlete's foot, etc.
Tea tree oil offers a natural alternative for managing various skin and scalp concerns due to its unique composition.
How Does Tea Tree Oil Work for Blemishes?
Tea tree oil has been known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it a natural remedy for blemishes. When applied to the skin, tea tree oil works by reducing inflammation and killing bacteria that cause pimples.
Tea tree oil penetrates deep into the pores of the skin, unclogging them and removing dead cells, excess sebum production, and other impurities that lead to breakouts. It also helps in regulating sebum production by balancing out oily skin.
Moreover, tea tree oil can help soothe redness and swelling caused by acne scars. Its ability to reduce inflammation allows it to fade dark spots left behind after a pimple has healed.
Tea tree oil is an effective spot treatment for blemishes due to its quick absorption rate into the skin. Applying a small amount of The Body Shop's tea tree oil on pimples or acne-prone areas can help prevent further breakouts from occurring while drying up existing ones.
Tea tree oil works wonders for blemished skin because of its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It penetrates deep into pores to unclog them while helping regulate sebum production. Tea Tree Oil's spot-treatment capabilities make it an ideal option for those who experience occasional breakouts or have persistent acne-prone skin.
The best ways to use tea tree oil for blemishes
Tea tree oil is a natural remedy that can help in treating blemishes on the skin. Here are some of the best ways to use tea tree oil for blemishes:
1. As a spot treatment: Dilute tea tree oil with water or carrier oils such as coconut, jojoba or olive oil and apply it directly to the affected area using a cotton swab.
2. In facial steaming: Add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to boiling water and cover your head with a towel while you inhale the steam. This helps open up pores and removes impurities from deep within.
3. In face masks: Mix 2-3 drops of tea tree essential oil into your favourite face mask recipe before applying it to your skin.
4. In toners: Combine witch hazel, filtered water, and 5-10 drops of tea tree essential oil in a spray bottle for an effective toner that clears up blemishes effectively.
5. In body washes: Adding several drops of tea-tree-oil-infused soap or shower gel can help prevent acne breakouts on other parts of your body like the chest, back, shoulders etc.,
Always remember that pure, undiluted Tea Tree Oil should never be applied directly to the skin as it may cause severe irritation or allergic reactions.

The truth about children is that they are not only tiny but extremely physically and psychologically sensitive before puberty. I've seen a child scream in pain after touching a drop of tea tree olive oil that I've just used all over my hair and hands, because their skin has formed no natural barrier or oils yet. It's like they've all just had full body chemical peels because skin resistance is hormonal. Theyre loud and like annoying songs because they don't fully process audio. They can't hold distressful ideas or two concepts at once so they drop information and giggle about it. complicated ideas and emotions are a teenaged hormonal brain development. Kids cannot consume "poison" foods that we enjoy like hot peppers, onions, leafy greens, and bitter dark chocolate because of an evolutionary benefit. toxins that we can't taste are fully disgusting to them.
We forget about all of this because our brains weren't functioning in a way that we could even retain a sense of perspective. I vaguely remember being prone to burns because I loved cooking, but now I can touch hot butter and need my bathwater scalding. I used to cry when brushing my hair and hated black coffee. Once I screamed because one tiny bite of raw onion burned my sinuses. Now I love those things.
Children are absolutely in no way "adults but small" they are literally barely functional and you NEED to be hyper-delicate and gentle with them or else I will attack you

Herbalism 101: Bay Leaves
EP. 2
Bay leaves are one of my absolute favorite herbs when cooking with intention. They are delicious and very common in tons of food cultures. On top of this, they are quite easily accessible.
Properties: Protection, healing, success
Uses in the Kitchen
Bay laurel, more commonly referred to as Bay leaves, is a very versatile plant. I often use it in cooking to flavor stocks or pickled goods. With such an aromatic flavor, it tastes great in hearty or acidic dishes. Tying a bunch together with bay leaves, rosemary, and thyme is a great way to add flavor to stock.
Uses in Healing
Bay leaves have a number of benefits when used in herbalism. Bay leaves do have many digestion related benefits. They can help with bloating and gas, in this case I usually use them to make a tea along with peppermint. The leaves are also good for treating certain skin ailments that do not involve broken skin, such as dandruff! Adding bay leaf oil into your hair care routine would be a good option.
Uses in Witchcraft
Bay leaves, particularly in witchcraft, are extremely versatile. One of the most common uses is setting intentions. The easiest way I have found to do this is to use a marker or candle wax to write out your intentions or a sigil onto the Bayleaf itself. I will often use this in simmer pots or cooking (if you are cooking with it, make sure it is a safe marker for that use). Some other ways to use this is burning they leave or putting it in your shoe to carry with you throughout the day.
Tips for Growing at Home
Bay leaves come from a tree called Bay Laurel. They can be grown inside and pruned to be kept at a certain size, but because they are a slow growing tree they can ultimately reach very large sizes when grown outdoors. If you are attempting to grow it inside the most important things are well draining soil, the right amount of humidity, and lots and lots of sunlight.
Bay leaf tea
In order to make this tasty and beneficial tea, you only need a few things: 2 bay leaves, 1 cinnamon stick, and hot water. Steep the ingredients as you would any tea and enjoy while hot. I drink this when I'm having stomach issues or I'm feeling a bit on edge.
As always, this is not medical advice. These are helpful home tips and remedies, but they will not cure diseases.

HEALTHY HAIR TIPS AND TRICKS ✧˚ · .
this post is going to be aiming toward type 3-4 hair (curly-coily)! but if you have a different hair type some of these things could be beneficial towards your hair as well
WASHING YOU HAIR
healthy hair starts with how you manage it. so making sure you have a good wash day routine is super important for your hair health. only wash your hair once a week if you do a sport or are active a lot. if not, only wash your hair once every two weeks. when you rinse your hair use cold water to ensure moisture stays locked in. the more you wash your hair the more natural oils your hair gets stripped from and you don't want that.
PICKING PRODUCTS
picking hair care products that are right for you hair plays a big role in your hair health. try to find hair products that don't contain sulfates, parabens, silicones, or mineral oil. instead look for honey, shea butter, tea tree oil, and argan oil.
A ROUTINE FOR YOU
making sure you develop your own hair routine that's right for your hair and benefits you is the best way to go. don't follow hair care trends that you see other people doing. stick to yours, trying out different products is totally okay, if you're careful.
STYLING
the way you are styling your hair could also be of benefit to your hair growth/health. try doing protective styles to ensure you aren't pulling at your hair all the time, pulling at your hair so much could cause thinning. but at the same time still making sure you aren't leaving those protective styles in for too long because that could also cause breakage.
HEAT
using heat on your hair all the time is definitely not of value to you. this could cause extreme breakage and really bad heat damage which could mess up your natural curl pattern. I recommend only straightening your hair once every 5-6 months to give your hair a trim. watch this video to successfully straighten your hair the healthy way.
HAIRCUTS
try to give your hair a trim every 3-6 months (depending on your ends) to clip your dead hair. this ensures your hair will grow long and healthy.
SLEEP
sleeping is also a huge benefit for hair health and growth. don't sleep with your hair soaking wet while that can cause breakage, if you are deep conditioning you hair make sure to sleep with a bonnet over your hair to prevent you from laying on it. make sure to use silk pillowcases + bonnets!
HEALTH OVER LENGTH
lots of people I see never let go of their long hair because of the length even though it's damaged. my opinion is to just let it go. you don't have to cut all of it off at one time but cutting a few inches off every few months will help you hair grown even longer and healthier
VITAMINS
taking vitamins will also help your hair tremendously! vitamin B, C, iron, zinc, and keratin are a few good ones you could take

Do you have any ideas on how to come up with fictional vegetables, resource plants, or livestock? I keep coming up with fruit since I can’t really think of any ways of making a vegetable interesting or unique to a setting. The only resource plants I can think of is one that gives cotton and livestock has me stumped.
(Context: My world is full of rabbit-human hybrids that are omnivorous but mainly eat plant food, meat is usually eaten during special events. I want to focus on a world reliant on different crops for food and resources. There’s different biomes like a wooded area, an almost volcanic area, a snowy area, and a naturally occurring magic area.)
Yes, I do!!!
A lot of fruits and vegetables themselves are very similar in growth and function, the main difference being fruits come from fruiting bodies while vegetables are just part of the plant. That's when we get that weird middle group like corn, tomatoes, and eggplants.
But there's a lot of aspects to vegetables that make them unique, with lots of worldbuilding room
Everything is Edible
Creative juices flowing questions... (I'm also grouping grains and vegetables together btw)
What parts of the plants are primarily consumed? The stalks, leaves, roots, bulbs, flowers, tubers? (carrots are roots? Guess I learn something new everyday)
How is the edible part extracted from the plant? What does the plant look like in a crop field? How do people know when it's ready?
Does the vegetable need to go through a preparation process before being eaten? (Crushed, cleaning, cut open)
Does the plant have edible leaves, bean pods, kernels, nuts, oats? Does it have multiple uses? Does it produce more than one edible factor?
Is it harvest from the ground, water pools, trees? How tall is the plant?
How does it spread/reproduce? (flowers, potato eyes, seeds)
Usage & Flavor
Is the vegetable eating directly, usually added to something else, used as a spice? What does it taste like? (earthy, bitter, tangy, sour)
Is it used to make something else that's edible/used in cooking? (Oils, beers, yeasts, flavorings)
Are there non food related uses? (Medicinal, potion brewing, material)
Gourds (fruits but equally fun)
My family fries/grills the blossoms on pumpkins & zucchinis, and I couldn't stop thinking about that so here's some bonus rounds
How do people break into the hard casings to reach the edible parts? Is anything does with the hard casings? What funky shapes are the gourds?
What's inside? What does it look like? Tastes? Seeds? Other uses?
Does it have any decorative uses? Any holiday relation?
Tea & Coffee
What kind of drinks can be made from plants? What extra benefits and effects does it have? Any magical properties? Any recreational properties?
How is the plant extracted? How is it prepared into a drink?
Anything culturally significant?
What does the brew look like? How strong is the smell?
Environmental Factors
What vegetables survive in dry or unforgiving environments? How important are these two the people who live there? What were to happen if harvest failed?
Any diseases or bugs that affect produce? How do farmers protect their crops these? Any animals or technology help in the harvesting process?
How does temperature and rain effect the produce? Anything grow underneath the snow? Soil? Water? Underground? (Huge fan of snowy plants in worldbuilding)
How does the vegetable itself try to protect itself? (cactus needles, thorns, caffeine, poison)
#this was really fun#ty for the asks#worldbuilding#world building#long post#worldbuilding inspo#worldbuilding inspiration#worldbuilding ideas#worldbuilding foods#worldbuilding food#worldbuilding argriculture#worldbuilding questions#worldbuilding questions to get the creative juices flowing

Okay speed round: essential oils edition.
Do not use essential oils topically undiluted.
Do not use essential oils topically on children under the age of 10, or ingested until the age of 15.
Do not ingest essential oils undiluted.
Do research from a reputable medical journal or blog, webmd, mayo clinic, healthline, Cleveland clinic, about how specific oils interact with specific medications.
Do not put a citrus oil on your skin, diluted or otherwise.
Tea tree oil does not have a significant enough antimicrobial effect, you will not cure a pimple, cold sore, or disinfect your house with tea tree oil, you will need so much to see a significant enough antimicrobial effect that you will give yourself chemical burns.
Eucalyptus oil soothes your airways, it does not reduce inflammation or cure asthma or lung infections.
Lavender oil smells nice and can make you feel somewhat better emotionally, it will not replace your anxiety medication, sleeping pills or antidepressants.
Peppermint oil is a major irritant, do not use it undiluted on your skin, do not ingest it when your intestines are sensitive, do not use it if you have psoriasis or eczema.
No essential oil will ever be able to replace chemically synthesized compounds with decades or even centuries of evidence based science backing it up, and the risks of injury or illness are not worth the frankly pathetic and often unpredictable benefits.
You can receive benefits from essential oils, and they make nice scents for your home, but the people trying to peddle significant health effects are lying, they just want to sell distilled plant oils that smell nice.

The Essential Guide to Black Hair Care Products: Nourish, Protect, and Style
When it comes to hair care, black hair is a world of its own, rich in texture and versatility. Whether you're rocking luscious curls, intricate braids, or a classic fade, the right products can make all the difference in maintaining healthy, vibrant hair. In this guide, we'll explore the best Black hair care products to help you achieve your hair goals while keeping it healthy and stylish.
Understanding Black Hair
Before diving into the products, let’s get a clearer picture of what makes black hair unique.
1. Texture Matters
Black hair can vary greatly in texture—from tightly coiled kinks to loose waves. This diversity affects how your hair behaves, how it responds to products, and how you should care for it.
2. Moisture is Key
One of the most significant challenges with black hair is dryness. The natural oils produced by your scalp have a harder time traveling down the twists and turns of each strand. This is why keeping your hair moisturized is crucial for its health.
3. Vulnerability to Damage
Due to its unique structure, black hair is often more susceptible to breakage and damage. That’s why using the right products and maintaining a proper hair care routine is essential for promoting growth and maintaining overall hair health.
The Must-Have Black Hair Care Products
1. Moisturizing Shampoo
A good shampoo sets the stage for healthy hair. Look for a moisturizing shampoo that's sulfate-free. Sulfates can strip natural oils from your hair, leaving it dry and brittle.
Key Ingredients: Opt for products containing shea butter, coconut oil, or aloe vera, as these ingredients provide hydration and nourishment.
2. Conditioner
After shampooing, a rich conditioner is a non-negotiable step. It helps detangle hair, add moisture, and reduce frizz.
Deep Conditioners: Incorporate a deep conditioner into your routine at least once a week. These products penetrate deeper into the hair shaft for more intensive moisture.
3. Leave-In Conditioner
A leave-in conditioner is like a shield for your hair. It provides extra moisture throughout the day and helps with styling.
How to Use: Apply it to damp hair after washing. It’s perfect for locking in hydration and making detangling a breeze.
4. Hair Oils
Hair oils are game-changers for maintaining shine and softness. They can also help seal in moisture, which is especially crucial for black hair.
Popular Oils: Consider using jojoba oil, argan oil, or castor oil. Each has unique properties that benefit your hair in different ways.
5. Styling Creams and Gels
When it comes to styling, the right cream or gel can help you achieve your desired look without the crunchiness that some products leave behind.
Curl Creams: Ideal for those with natural curls, curl creams define and enhance your curls while keeping them soft and manageable.
Styling Gels: For more hold, consider a gel that doesn’t flake. Look for alcohol-free options to prevent dryness.
6. Hair Masks
Hair masks are your secret weapon for intense hydration. They are typically used once a week or bi-weekly and provide a concentrated dose of nutrients.
DIY Options: You can create your own masks using natural ingredients like avocado, honey, or yogurt, which nourish and moisturize your hair.
7. Heat Protectants
If you use heat styling tools, a heat protectant is essential. This product creates a barrier between your hair and the heat, preventing damage.
Tip: Always apply a heat protectant before using blow dryers, curling irons, or flat irons to keep your hair safe.
8. Scalp Treatments
A healthy scalp is crucial for healthy hair growth. Consider using a scalp treatment or exfoliator to remove buildup and nourish the scalp.
Key Ingredients: Look for products containing tea tree oil or peppermint, which can soothe irritation and promote circulation.
Creating Your Hair Care Routine
Now that you know the must-have products, how do you incorporate them into a routine that works for you?
Step 1: Cleansing
Start with a moisturizing shampoo, followed by a rich conditioner. Remember to rinse thoroughly to avoid product buildup.
Step 2: Deep Conditioning
Once a week, treat your hair to a deep conditioning treatment. This is your chance to give your hair the extra love it deserves.
Step 3: Moisturizing and Styling
After washing, apply a leave-in conditioner followed by a styling product that suits your hair type. This will help define your look while keeping your hair nourished.
Step 4: Weekly Mask and Scalp Treatment
Incorporate a hair mask into your routine weekly. Additionally, consider a scalp treatment every couple of weeks to keep your scalp healthy.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Even with the right products, you can still fall into some traps. Here are a few common mistakes to steer clear of:
Over-Washing: Washing your hair too frequently can strip away natural oils. Aim to wash your hair 1-2 times a week.
Neglecting Your Scalp: A healthy scalp equals healthy hair. Don’t forget to care for your scalp as part of your routine.
Ignoring Product Ingredients: Not all products are created equal. Always read labels and avoid harsh chemicals that can damage your hair.
youtube
Final Thoughts: Embrace Your Crown
Black hair is not just a style; it's a statement, a culture, and a part of who you are. By using the right products and maintaining a proper care routine, you can embrace the beauty of your natural hair. It’s about more than just looking good; it’s about feeling confident and empowered in your own skin.

System Hobbies
🗝️🏷️ mentions of deprogramming, weapons, pins
We forget that not everyone knows we’re a system. We’re pretty open about it *turns around and narrows eyes at the distant Void*, but some people just don’t pick up on it.
So someone told us to “get a hobby”. They probably thought they said this multiple times to one person, but actually they said it one time to multiple people.
And we got hobbies!
One subsystem is writing fanfic and roping other alters in, another is trying to make sewing patterns without being able to do math. Someone pulled out the mythology research again, someone started a research project, someone is getting certified for metalwork.
There’s also the language people and the quarterstaff people and the beadwork people. And the tea people and the composing people and the sketching people. The bloggers, the students, the scrapbookers.
And everyone else who was within a three subspace radius from front every time they said that.
I don’t know where we got all this stuff. We don’t have money. I don’t even know where they learned most of this stuff.
This is not the only example of everyone in spitting distance choosing to interpret instructions however best benefits them, but it is very evident. Thanks to whoever removed the Pin Pile from the entryway, no thanks to whoever put it there *Squints into distance again*.
Though inconvenient, it is nice to have our own lives. It feels like a healthy way to build our individuality, and it allows for a demonstration of the control over our amnesia that we’ve been working on.
It’s welcome reprieve from the deprogramming and trauma work. We need the reminders that plurality, especially adaptive plurality, is more than constant pushing towards distant goals.
And I’ve been meaning to oil that damn tree branch.
