As a child, The Little Mermaid was one of my favorite fairy tales. The story is about transformation and compassion. It struck me as incredibly moving. The opposite of starting is stagnating. Fearing rejection, fearing incompletion, we never begin on whatever it is our goal/dreams are. We are left feeling lost and without aim.

Spring is a time of hope, renewal and dreaming about flowers. Even where I live in Florida, spring is the best time for gardening. Right now my orchids and roses are in full bloom and the various amaryllises in my garden are producing their annual stalks that will boast flowers within the month. Gardening is a form of creativity and inspired much of my work on Pastoral Tarot. Today's art shows The Empress in her garden surrounded by flowers and critters.
