The thing about Wilhelm and Simon that really gets to me is that I can understand them both so so well. Like I see why Wille is wary of telling his just-won-back boyfriend to not post anything / keep a low profile - he just wants them to be carefree, and not burden him; and I understand Simon, wanting to be himself, wanting to be seen as the true version of himself, enjoying positive attention - how should he be able to grasp the full impact of a post without any media training?

And they love each other deeply but it gets more complicated each day; and they manage the separation and the no-call-time, fhe curfews, all of it. And each moment together is so joyful and beautiful to watch, from the first official kiss, to holding hands at the school party, to going hiking together, to actually having time to be together - all these moments just show how in love they are, and that is so beautiful.

And what’s so true, wonderful, painful about their story is how the complication of ‘we exist within this world, this system (‘you’re again the monarchy but you’re dating a prince’!), our families, our biographies’ has to be aligned with this beautiful love they have and the happiness they share. And that is so real. Every love story has that, maybe not as early as they do, but this is life. And I’m just so grateful for them showing this. And addressing everything.

…and not to mention how well Edvin and Omar portray these characters!!
