#Takes me back to 2017 😉

Okay so, Time Traveler (The Crane Legacy) wasn’t a story in the beginning, it started as just gameplay about a young guy from the future, Robin Crane, a plumbot builder, who travels to the past and meets the woman of his dreams. Robin had a concern, though, in the Oasis Landing population files, no descendants of his were listed, so he became obsessed that he should start having kids right away, so much so, that he got into all the trouble that gave rise to the story.

Then, you know me, I started planning and writing a plot, taking posed photos for the characters, using special saves in both Aurora Skies and Oasis Landing to stage scenes, etc. And, since I had to follow a script, my characters’ lives were kind of on pause. But… in the original Aurora Skies save, where everything started, time and life continued to pass for the Cranes and the Shens (Juliette’s family), something that doesn’t happen in my story saves, where, due to technical reasons, life takes much longer to pass.

I've tried to keep secret what happens in the original Aurora Skies' save, so as not to spoil the story, but since Time Traveler is about, well, time traveling, lol, I thought we could do a little six-year time jump from 2017 to 2023 in order to introduce the next generation (3rd actually) of the Crane dynasty. So, without further ado, I present to you the third generation of Cranes.

From left to right: Carrie, Wanda, Rowan, Jessica, and Collin. Rowan and Jessica are the oldest with 8 (real life) years; and Collin, Carrie and Wanda are 6 (real life) years old. (Yes, they're all the same height cause I don't use height sliders in order not to mess my game).

As we already know, these five kids are all Robin's children, from three different moms, which are Juliette Shen (Rowan's mom) Kaleigh Chandelace (Collin's mom) and Ann Conners (Jessi, Carrie and Wanda's mom). Despite this, they love each other as if they were full siblings, cause they all have something in common: they have the same father, and some of them, (I am not telling which ones), also share Robin's alien genes. They are currently living their lives at the fullest, learning about their alien powers and preparing to compete among themselves to be Robin's successor. Who of them will make it? I still don't know so I can't tell, and if I knew I wouldn't tell. 😉

Sorry if this post was too long, or if it seemed like a spoiler, it's just I'm so happy with how this generation turned out that I couldn't resist, and I just can't wait for them to grow so I can tell their stories. 😋

I'm currently writing the episodes of Part Three: To the Moon and Back, where we will go to Robin's rescue after his abduction by an alien ship, and where, contrary to this post, we'll go back one generation to meet Robin's long-lost parents. It's a long way to go, but eventually we'll get there, then we'll let Robin take a rest as we move on to this brand new third generation. Can you explain the erik-canes drama please 😚

So last night we found Haulzy wearing a "Canes Suck" bracelet -

(let the record show I posted this FIRST before the Canes fans found it because I am speedier than them and also much better in every single way 😉)

Now, you may be asking yourself, "why is a grown, 32-year-old hockey player of a man wearing a bracelet that says Canes Suck on it?" That is a WONDERFUL question. First, let's look at Haula's career.

Erik Haula was drafted in the seventh round by Minnesota. He played for the Wild for a few years before, well, the Wild essentially sold him to the Golden Knights in the expansion draft - they basically sent Vegas Alex Tuch (one of their better prospects) for a third and "expansion draft considerations", meaning the Knights would choose Haula in the draft and not a player like Matt Dumba or Marco Scandella, who were more vital to the Wild's core.

Haula plays for the Knights for two years - he's part of the team that wills itself into the Cup finals in 2017-18. In 2018-19, Haula goes down early, getting injured in a game against Toronto that keeps him out the rest of the season.

Vegas trades him to Carolina three days before his wedding. It's a Kelly McCrimmon move - and if you know the Knights, you know what that means (trading fan favorites for better returns). By all accounts, Haula loved Vegas, so he's going into this Carolina thing with some apprehension, especially because this is the last year on his contract. If he puts up good numbers, he's going to get a payday. If not, well, probably not. Remember, he had a career year in 2017-18. He wants to prove he's got what it takes.

Alright. He gets there, gets hurt for a few games with an LBI, comes back, gets hurt again and is out for a few weeks. At the time he gets his second injury, he's got 11 points in 16 games, with 8 goals, one less than team leaders Svechnikov, Aho, and Hamilton (all of whom played more games). So the dude's playing stellar, but then gets banged up. He slots back into the lineup just before Christmas.

And here's where things go south. You see, Haula and his wife, Kristen, were planning to start a family. Kristen got pregnant probably around August, given that when Haula posted the baby announcement on his Instagram he noted a May due date.

The baby is found without a heartbeat 12/30/19.

Erik Haula plays the next day and pots a goal and an assist.

It's a second-trimester miscarriage, which means it's likely Kristen had to deliver a stillborn baby.

He points to the sky after the goal, honoring his lost daughter.

It's around this time that relations between Haula and the Canes begin to take a nosedive.

(Fun fact, contrary to what Canes fans will tell you, Haula's play only suffered significantly after the miscarriage. In the four games in December he played before the miscarriage, he got 2 goals and 2 assists, so in 20 games he had 15 points which is nothing to scoff at for a middle-sixer. Despite being tossed around a bit in the lineup, he was still producing very well.)

Reports of exactly what was going on are incredibly difficult to find and are generally tainted by the biases of whoever writes them. It's stated that Haula was, in some way or another, "forced" to play the day after the miscarriage and never given time to emotionally recover from it. He gets scratched a few times (and again, it's a contract year for him, so ice time is exceedingly valuable). There are rumors of a "shouting match" between Haula and head coach Rod Brind'Amour. Supposedly, he's not participating in after-game workouts that Brind'Amour makes the team do (for recovery) and thus "doesn't fit the culture of the team", "has no respect", and "is a jerk". (Which... we'd prefer him do work on the ice, thanks???) Other rumors say he's "bullying" the rookies on the Canes (which have never been corroborated by a reliable source nor been backed up by similar actions anywhere else). Kristen makes vague posts on Instagram that Canes fans interpret as being derogatory towards the team - Reddit widely quotes one as "Don't allow your loyalty to become slavery. If they aren't appreciating what you bring to the table, let them eat alone."

So Haula gets dealt at the deadline to the Panthers as part of a deal for Vincent Trocheck, after playing only 41 games for the Canes. And he journeys around the NHL for a few years after that before finding his home in New Jersey.

Ever since then, the Canes have absolutely haunted Haula. The "1-14" thing Canes fans put on pictures of him? It's because, since leaving the Canes, he's won once at their home rink (PNC)... and lost 14 times. In three consecutive years, his teams have lost to the Canes each time in the playoffs (Predators, Bruins, then Devils, respectively). He's the first player that happened to, where he played for three different teams and each year lost to the same team.

Canes fans boo him every time he touches the ice - for them, he's a traitor that shit-talked Raleigh and the team and backs it up by playing like a goon when he's against them.

So if there's one person on the whole Devils roster who deserves to wear a Canes Suck bracelet, it's Uncle Haula.

Go off, king.

David Pastrnak, much like Erik Haula, also lost a child - his son died only six days old. I'm sure, when Pasta accidentally ran into Antti Raanta on the ice during the 2022 playoffs, they didn't go on his socials and make disgusting comments about his child's death...

Oh? They did? Well then.

Canes fans will tell you they only had the utmost of respect for Haula during his miscarriage and never used it against him, both during and after his Canes tenure. Somehow, I doubt that.

But maybe that's just me.

When Canes fans make signs like this about you, it's understandable why you get upset.

The sign reads "It's me. Haula. I'm the problem. It's me. Hi everybody agrees", with cutouts of Haula's former teams' logos pasted on top.

What's so strange is that no Panthers, Bruins, Knights, Predators, or Wild fans seem to have a problem with Haula. It's only the Canes fans calling him "locker room cancer". Jack Hughes disagrees with this assessment.

Coincidentally, the "locker room cancer" charge was also famously said about Dougie Hamilton...

Oh, hey, look, some Canes fans behind the Devils' bench, just behind Jack, made a sign! I'm sure it's nice and respectful :)

oh i don’t mind if you answer publicly!

ok so, i like the batfam and the Gotham rogues and go back and forth between those sides of the batman fandom but tbh i get really fed up that it’s so hard to find Gotham rogues posts (there’s great fic! but there’s less fun “meme” posts or meta posts like what the batfam has). and the half the time the posts that are popular only include a handful of the rogues and my faves are almost always left out.

anyway i was scouring blogs for Gotham rogues content and one had reblogged this post that was like “when people act like joker, black mask, and victor zsasz are honory rogues…” followed by that “sweetie I’m so sorry meme”

and I was so annoyed at that post because like bitch those ARE rogues. those aren’t even honorary rogues, those are all actual members of batman’s rogues gallery! the joker is the freaking joker, black mask is one of the top crime lords in Gotham, and zsasz is a regularly recurring villain. but it’s not like I can say anything because the OP is deactivated, the post is from 2017 anyway, and my annoyance is my own personal problem.

it’s just grating that there’s a minimal amount of rogues content in the first place, and on top of that you have these people that want to sanitize them to the point where they barely even villains anymore, and remove the characters that can’t be sanitized. i’m not even opposed to fluffy and silly interpretations of the rogues, sometimes those are really fun! but there’s a way to do that without the sanitization and smoothing over of everything that makes the rogues gallery interesting.

(u swear u’m not as insane as I sound, and I will be going outside to touch grass now but i wanted to vent and knowing some of your opinions on the rogues, i feel like you might understand. also sorry because this became longer than i intended)

The Gotham Rogues fandom is the same as any other which means it does have its cunts and heroes alike. The trick is to find the people who share similar thoughts to your own and to casually skirt around the people who have entirely different schools of thought.

The sheer amount of takes on here that I see that make me feel like I'm insane and seeing COMPLETELY different characters to others is wild but I also keep to my own lane cause folk are entitled to their feelings even if they're utterly opposed to what I see!

I also highly recommend creating your own Rogues stuff if you feel certain rogues are being missed out or misrepresented 😉 xx

I was wondering what it was about ymn that piqued your interest in them? As someone's who's been an army since late 2015, ymn was one of the big ships from debut til 2016-mid 2017 ish I'd say.

Hi anon! This is a fun ask because I’m always curious to find out when/how/why people became drawn to yoonmin, and I’m also interested in the “history of the ship.” Looking back at old posts, it does seem like they were a popular pair early on.

Yes, I became a fan of the group in 2020. I don’t remember the exact date/month, just that it was post-Dynamite, but before BE.

Prior to that, I’d never shipped anyone…not real people, not fictional characters. So, it’s not like I was on the lookout for a ship. I first noticed yoonmin during Be-hind Story (known in my mind as the Jimin raspberry sweater day). I thought their dynamic was so unique. I felt like Jimin was finding excuses for physical contact with Yoongi (for instance, shaking his hand and then being hesitant to let go).

Meanwhile, Yoongi seemed like he wasn’t sure how to react. He likes affection, but also values his personal space. We’ve seen him avoid contact from other members before if he feels like he wants his space. In fact, we’ve seen this from various pairs. Sometimes they just aren’t in the mood to snuggle. But with Jimin, Yoongi didn’t avoid or reject. He just seemed hesitant to reciprocate. And also…he kept teasing Jimin, praising Jimin…which told me that he didn’t mind Jimin’s attention. He just didn’t seem like he was sure what to do with it. 😉 (I know a lot of this is speculation. This was just my hot take at the time.)

Anyway, their dynamic interested me, so I started looking back at old yoonmin moments. I’d say the first three moments that made me think of them in a romantic context were Yoongi’s words about Jimin during the butterfly exhibition (2015), the birthday live “you know, I know” (2016), and their red carpet interview from the AMAs (2017). That was the combination that took them from unique to “oh! maybe there’s something more happening here” in my mind.

What solidified things for me was the number of times they’ve talked about hanging out off-camera/off-stage without the other members. Sushi dates (2015 and 2023, that we know of), Jimin meeting Holly the puppy, late night conversations, birthday letters that we never got to see, the Never Mind tattoo, “drinking buddies,” working out together, shoulder rehab, frequent phone calls…it just seems obvious (to me, in my opinion) that there is a lot more going on there than what we see in content.

Anyway, I hope that answers your question! I’d be curious to know if you consider yourself a yoonminer and if so which moments first caught your eye.

Some you may familiar this artwork that I did. A reference from the 80's popular anime (of all time) but let's not talked about that please. Let's focused on Panini's Guren SEITEN Eight Elements armor 🤖🐰 (from Code Geass R2), and one of the reasons why I liked about the Guren seiten elements is super speed bullet while the wings can covered fold (like the Gundam Deathscythe Hell - Endless Waltz ver.), an ability that can tackle opponents without taking a sweat.

I would like to thank AARP (that’s the American Association of Retired Persons for my young and/or non-American frens out there who’ve never heard of them) for not actually sending me an invitation to join them on my last birthday, when I technically qualified. They did, however, send it to me today. I guess they figure turning 50 was probably more traumatic and didn’t want to compound things. But turning 51? Yeah, you’ve had a year to get used to it, so you’re fine...

Ah well. 🤷‍♀️😂

However, in the “You’re only as old as you feel” state of mind, look at what I got for my birthday! 😍😍😍

Not my pic, so not my actual figures, but I haven’t deboxed them yet and my Scott has a giant frickin’ price tag right across his face on the outside of the box, so it was kinda pointless to take a picture of that, lol. 😱😂

Anyway, that said... I didn’t know they’d made figures of Sara and Scott until I randomly checked, and YES McFarlane did in 2017! I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find them for a decent price but I won them on ebay for less than their original MSRP, so I was super glad for that! I can hardly wait to have the Ryder twins joining my Halo gang here on my desk!

I would’ve screamed in happiness if they would’ve made other figures from the game but, sadly, no, the line stopped with Sara and Scott so I’ll just have to dream about having a Reyes 😍 and a Vetra 😍 along with the rest of the Tempest crew as well.

Is this a good time to mention I’m contemplating two different types of crossover vids between Halo and Andromeda? One would be just a more fun, breezy action and vehicles type thing, the other would be an attempt to genuinely make a crossover between a character or characters from each of them. We’ll see how it goes but, for now, it’s just fun to think about!

The general consensus is “Ais got an A in driving Warthogs and the NOMAD... A as in AWFUL, lol!” 😛😉 I don’t even care. I have fun, that’s all that matters, right? Also, I forgot to note it last month but I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary in starting my gamer lifestyle, lol! I got the Halo MCC back in June 2022 and that was the start of many, many hours of awesome fun! 🥳🎉🤗

Review:

• I'm absolutely in love with this fic. I've been rereading this tons of times already, analysing every sentence and theorising on the untold stories behind the words carefully left vague. This oneshot has so much potential I feel so inspired 😳✨

• I love the relationships between Atsushi and the PM members here. Mori is the horrible abusive adoptive father yet the one who saved Atsushi from his hell of the orphanage. Chuuya is still the same confident handsome bastard that I love in the canonverse, but with Atsushi as his partner he is gentler, calmer. And the Akutagawa siblings, who Atsushi cares for and grow to adore Atsushi in their own ways, really does weird things to my heart.

• The theme of this fic is freedom, which at first Atsushi didn't have because he was caged by the previous boss with a collar and later chained with thousands of ties to the Mafia by Mori, Chuuya, the Akutagawa siblings. His first meeting with one Dazai Osamu and many others later slowly change that. Personally I find the idea of relationship ties to be tragically romantic hhhhh.

• Atsushi's kindness. It is his kindness that leads to the, may I say, naive stubborn desire against killing, which Mori indulges, Chuuya sympathizes, and the Akutagawa siblings admire. Maybe I interpreted the lines wrong, or maybe I was right, but the PM members really try hard to protect this little hope of innocence that Atsushi holds, using their own twisted methods, despite how utterly foolish that hope is. Reminds me of the reasons why I fell in love with canon!Atsushi in the first place.

• Dazatsu's first meeting. I love the way Atsushi demands Dazai's will to live in exchange for the money, food and accommodation that he promises to provide. Really in character with Atsushi's love for life, both in this fic and the canon verse.

• Chuuya's gifts to Atsushi (and they are all expensive). Atsushi takes care of Chuuya when they go drinking. The two young boy comfort each other in the event of the trauma of their job.

• Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, calling Atsushi, "Atsushi-san" 😳😳😳 I also get this hunch quite often, that Akutagawa in this au is eager to kill because he wants to honor Atsushi's wish not to kill.

• Dazai's panic at seeing Atsushi's tears. Holy moly I felt like something in me was awakened when reading that part. Definitely one of my dazatsu favorite tropes.

• Atsushi! Smoking! (audible gasp)

• Dazai lit Atsushi's cigarettes 🤤 I want a cigarette kiss 🚬💋😉😘

• This fic was written back in 2017. The author admitted that they only read the manga and didn't know LN was a thing when they wrote it, which is why some details may seem out of place if you think about it. Personally I find this drawback to be quite appealing instead. I like to imagine how the other pieces of the BSD canonverse can fit into this au: Did Atsushi know about Yosano (because, Mori)? What would Fyodor do knowing Atsushi was the fearsome Beast of Calamity of the PM? How did Atsushi and Chuuya's first meeting go? How could Atsushi help dealing with Chuuya's Corruption power and Arahabaki? Where were Oda and Ango? How about Kyouka? So many questions, so many ideas...

And always, always, Atsushi smiles mildly at them. Before each raid, he prays quietly for someone to have sense, for someone to escape into the night and not be foolish enough to stand and fight and die.

He continues to eat, quietly, layering the flavors that enter his mouth, trying to build a sensory symphony. “I have nothing to pay you with,” Dazai says, and Atsushi wonders if the lack of betrayal in his voice, the tired resignation, offers a clue.

“No, you do,” Atsushi says. “Something you hold little value in; something I consider to be of great value.”

Akutagawa does not quite smile at him – Atsushi does not think he even really knows what a smile is. But he quirks his lips, as if he is sharing something humorous with Atsushi, and Atsushi smiles back weakly.

“Atsushi-san could kill Mori-san and the other executives, and I would still want to follow Atsushi-san.” Akutagawa pauses, swallowing. And then he says, “Because Atsushi-san saved us… Our lives belong to you, Atsushi-san.”

Something weighty settles in the pit of Atsushi’s stomach, and he breathes out a hummingbird’s sigh. Akutagawa, he thinks, is so incredibly earnest. The obvious adoration in his voice makes Atsushi’s heart hurt.

We are only children, Atsushi thinks, as Chuuya lurches toward him with another sob, wrapping his arms around Atsushi’s neck. It is easier for him, like this – when Atsushi is in his tiger form, large enough that his bulk takes up almost the entire available space, with Chuuya curled into his belly.

He doubts Chuuya would treat his human form like this.

The tiger blinks, sharing its body with Atsushi, and chuffs softly at Chuuya, nudging at his head. It only succeeds in knocking his hat off. Tigers cannot purr, their vocal cords are not designed for it, but Atsushi tries to convey comfort in other ways. It is the only thing he can do.

It is his fault Chuuya is this way.

There is a shadow of melancholy to Dazai’s face as he smiles and says softly, “No, but Atsushi-san is kind to think so.” He lets Atsushi eat a few more bites before asking tentatively, “Would you like me to leave?”

“It was my home.” The “was” is weighty; there’s a finality to the words, and suddenly Atsushi sees what the tiger has seen all along, has known ever since that day by the river. There is a peace that comes from this knowledge, and he smiles at Dazai, trusting him to see what Atsushi saw. “But home is someplace different now.”

“I understand,” Dazai says. And he smiles back, a soft curve that dimples one cheek and makes his eyes shine like stars in the dark of night.

Ok, I tried to rewatch the Smosh Agree to Disagree/new studio tour from twitch on yt, but couldn't.

It just says unavailable, if anyone has the clip or has access to it on twitch, maybe you can clip it? Regardless, the question of missing old Smosh came up and I think Shayne answered the question perfectly.

What he said was along the lines of, That it is ok to miss the old Smosh and things from your past because you have a longing for fonder times. Rose tinted glasses and all, it isn't necessarily the content, it usually is the fact that life was simpler back when we were kids and we didn't have so much responsibility.

I understand the frustration with the main channel right now, but you can't please everyone. Trust me, I'm one of many who are annoyed as all hell that some people finally got what they wanted (Classic Smosh) and quit complaining, just to have the tables turned, now there is something new to complain about.

Tbh, I feel like majority of Smosh fans are ride or die, through the Defy shutdown until now, good and bad. While some just jumped ship after Anthony left, especially during the Smosh homelessness period, and came out of the woodwork just to jump on the bandwagon when Ian and Anthony bought Smosh back.

Me personally, I feel like it is easy to weed out these outliers/trolls. I want anyone and everyone to enjoy Smosh, but it has to be genuine, and if it is, you have to be able to have open ended discussions with all types of criticism.

So, when it comes down to people leaving, especially 3/4s of the 2019 core, I'd rather get a root canal! Yet, that is me being selfish and I need to be a grown up and realize that if it happens, it happens.

If I was a betting man, i wouldn't expect it anytime soon. Like you said, give the main channel until the end of the year/early next year, and see where the subscription model stands. If it is still the same and "old smosh", (funerals, interview exes, Smoffice) aren't back, than we might need to reconvene on this topic.

I think when it comes to Shayne and Courtney, I could see them sticking around until the 10yr mark, imo. It is such a milestone, why wouldn't they? With Damien he joined around 2017, so he would have to wait a little while longer for that, but he has his voice acting roles, so I believe he's fine.

If they aren't being creatively fulfilled, than I get the reason to leave, but from the outside looking in, it seems like it won't be anytime soon.

Last part, I promise! I might sound a little selfish with this take but, if Shayne and Courtney did leave, either around the same time or if only one left, maybe they would feel more comfortable sharing their relationship with the public, e.g. socials or Courtney's yt channel.

During the summer, there's often an event called Row By Row held at quilt shops. Each year there's a theme, and the local quilt shops get together to design the row. Get all the rows and you can make a local themed quilt. The rows that don't sell during the summer are sold the rest of the year. Sometimes a store will have leftover rows from previous years, making for a nice selection. They're also relatively inexpensive if you don't get a kit (a kit has the pattern and fabric), just the pattern. The most I've paid is $12.50.

My aunt collects these because many use applique. My sisters, mom, and I visit out local quilt shops to purchase these patterns for aunt (no kits, just patterns). My aunt is in the southwestern region of the US, sister and mom in the Midwest, and I'm in the Pacific Northwest (PNW).

I want to do this too! She loves doing applique, whereas I have no experience with it. If y'all fancy being little heroes, check out your local quilt shops and see what they have. I'll do a little trade of equal value in exchange for the patterns. The applique ones will be sent to my aunt, the rest will be kept for myself. They'll be a great way to use up some scraps! The finished quilts will be made available later.

Currently I have two or three patterns for rows. All the quilt shops make them the same length and width, nationwide, to make a mega project possible. When we lived in central Oregon, there were around a dozen shops withing a 100 mile radius. During the quilt shop hop, when everything is on mega sale, I bought several kits for her.

What's a quilt shop hop? A bunch of local quilt shops get together and design a quilt, one block for every store. You visit each shop and get the pattern, usually free, with a purchase of fabric. Many shops also offer fabric pre cut specifically for their block. There's also prizes and drawings. You take q punch card with you and every shop you visit stamps it, and then you enter the drawing they're having. Nearly every fabric is on sale too! The one year I participated, I bought fabrics in a specific color theme (brown, cream, tan, teal, and aqua) and spent around $500 for around $1k worth of fabric. I also win a little box of thread! It was so much fun! Due to the small number of shops near me, they don't participate. I did learn the entire Oregon coast does! In I think February, they have their quilt shop hop, every shop up and down the coast. Dozens of shops, all having mega sales, drawings, prizes, and other random fun things. Original shop patterns on massive clearance, including row by row!

If you quilt, consider checking them out. Just...cash only. Otherwise you will overspend. If you don't quilt, you can still enjoy the fun buying things for quilters you know. 😉 I haven't participated since I think 2017/2018, because of money and the pandemic. Being high risk, it's likely something I won't be able to join in on for several more years. I weep!

If you join in on the fun, but won't be using what you buy/win, give the goodies to a quilter you know. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Or even a local quilting guild. I'll happily do a trade with you!

If we ever get back out to the coast for a trip, I'm gonna see about getting some row by row patterns.

He was taking too long, evidently, because Valis sighed as the knife touched the meat. “Yeah, that’s what I thought,” she grumbled.

Saren’s heart climbed up his throat, and his neck burned in shame as he ducked his head to look at the floor. “Desolas didn’t want to upset you,” he offered meekly, awkwardly moving his forearms to rest on his knees and loosely knit his fingers together. He didn’t, either, and Desolas knew his wife better than Saren did, so it felt safest to just do as he was told and keep his mouth shut.

A noisy exhale rattled Valis’s nasal plates as the knife sawed through the roast. “Ohhh, that man,” she hissed to herself. “I’m not fragile, you know. I’m a big girl, I have a therapist, I’d like to know the fuckheads who killed my scout and tortured my husband are causing problems again.” A deep growl ripped out of her chest as the knife found the cutting board with a solid thnk. “Need to know. Your TS3 gameplay really does inspire me to give that game another shot. Are there specific mods you use to make sure the game runs smoothly/is stable? What mods/cc are the best to use so the sims look good?

First of all, thank you very much for your ask. Knowing that my sims and/or my gameplay can inspire other simmers to play means a lot to me cause The Sims 3 is my favorite game in the whole Sims series. Plus, I love my sims, so this makes me twice as happy. 🤗💖

That said, it is my duty to warn you that The Sims 3 is not an easy game to maintain, it requires a lot of care and patience, even from the moment of its installation. You ask me what it takes to make it run smoothly and make it stable, well I'm no expert, but what helped me with that is all contained in this Steam post. I believe these tips you can follow even if you don't have your game on Steam. I followed all these steps when I reinstalled my game back in 2017-18, and I have never had a problem like lag or crashes since then.

It's thanks to the amazing person who wrote that post and to talented modders like @lazyduchess and Twallan (Nraas Mods), whose mods I consider indispensable, that I have been able to play The Sims 3 without problems for years now. I may have had a couple of crashes due to some wrong or corrupt cc, but that's on me because I download a lot of stuff. In those cases, it's a matter of locating the bad cc, taking it out, and that's it. The game runs great, even with a ton of mods installed. (I have a 9 GB mods folder, and I've had more than that at times, lol, but I try to keep in less than 10 GB always).

As for what mods and cc's to use to make the sims look good, well, that would depend on your taste, or as they say now, on the aesthetics of your game or your sims.

For what it's worth, I have always used Ephemera's E-WEAK skin as default. I also use some other Ephemera's like E-Skin Natural MIX, Asia and Fresh. I use some by Kurasoberina too.

I think Ephemera's site doesn't exist anymore, but the E-WEAK skins I use can be downloaded on MTS here. Kurasoberina TS3 skins you can find them here along with more of their fabulous content.

I'm sure there are other skins much newer, and super nice too, but these are the ones I use, cause they give my sims the look they are known for. 😊

Also I use Tifa N38 default eyes, as well as Buhudain's You Are Real body and face maps replacements to give some realism to my sims' skins/bodies. Neither Tifa's nor Buhudain's sites exist anymore, unfortunately, but you can still find Buhudain's archives on this SFS page. And those of Tifa in this other one in Mega. (I hope I am not doing wrong by sharing them, otherwise I will remove them).

There's also this stunning version of Buhudain's You are Real by @nectar-cellar named You are Hyperreal. :)

As for the rest, if I start listing all the other content I use such as hair, clothes and makeup I would never finish, I'd gladly share my whole mods folder, but I don't want to piss off the creators, or blow-up other players' computers, lol. I'm WCIF friendly, though, so feel free to ask for any specific content, of any type, CAS or Buy/Build, I got my custom content well documented, so I'll provide you with links to any of them.

PLEASE!!!! I’ve been here since 2012. I was here and online the day we got those pathetic ass pics of harry signing a contract on that yacht. One of the most pathetic thing, EVER!!!! Larries were focused on the hendall pics instead of opening their eyes and realize that the asshole was signing a solo contract in everyone’s face. Then in feb 2016 the first article about him acting in his first movie were released and once again larries were like “Nah. He’s not going to be an actor. This is fake!” They didn’t believe that harry was going solo and already had a solo album in the works. They didn’t Believe that harry was about to act in his first movie. And don’t make me start on all those “Big larries” who had inside infos like “I KNOW FROM A SOURCE THAT IRVING AZOFF SIGNED ONE DIRECTION. HE’LL SAVE THE BAND FROM SIMON COWELL” so many larries believed those “big larries” with infos, and were in love with jeff the prick and his dad irving. I remember all those larries calling irving “grandpa azoff” 🤮 I still get goosebumps when I think about it. The way the fandom was manipulated by those big larries, was and is still disgusting. You just need to know that all those “big larries” who were screaming “harry is not going solo, harry won’t be an actor, harry didn’t sign a solo contract, one direction will come back in late 2017, irving signed 1D and he will save them. The boys will be managed by jeff and irving. I love papa azoff etc” ....are all gone. They’ve disappeared. All of them. 🙃😉🙃😉🤡🤡🤡 those things happened for real. But only to harry. Bonjour tout le monde, we have arrived at Easter Sunday and normally I would be cooking a wonderful lunch, but today, due to having visitors I will just be preparing a quiche and any other “quick meal” I can think of. One of my visitors is going to the football match in Troyes this afternoon and “my little guest” will be staying with grand-mere and we will be doing something either colouring, planting some seeds or having a walk. My visitors arrived on Wednesday after they had had a trip to Disneyland Paris. We have been into town to count the bunnies and carrots that have sprung up around there, counted the Easter eggs too. We had a trip to one of the nearby lakes for a walk yesterday. I hadn’t been to that lake since 2017 and surprisingly I am going again next Sunday!

I was stressed at the beginning of the week, the decorator was still here and to be honest I wasn’t sure if he was going to be finished on Wednesday. As he was decorating the room where my guests were sleeping that was going to be a bit of a problem, but hey ho worries alleviated, he was gone on Wednesday morning and bedroom was prepared ready for guests arriving p.m.

I had prepared a lasagne and lemon drizzle cake for Wednesday and (always thinking of people’s tummies) was planning other meals too.

We visited the bar (only once) and have just generally enjoyed the sun shining days.

No knitting for me this week, I have been keeping up with my walking though.

When you have guests, time seems to fly over and things that you wanted to do seem to get forgotten or you run out of time. The Easter egg hunt in town was held on Saturday. I hadn’t seen any posters for it and just saw it posted on social media when it had taken place. We had planned an Easter egg hunt for Monday (in my garden) so I will be preparing for that this morning……

Sorry for the delay in posting this, however, the playground, walk by the river and back to the playground seemed to take precedence 😉.

In real life, LMP (Le Mans Prototype) cars can't jump or fly 🚗🚫🪽, and sadly it did happened for the latter, in 1999. 😧 I can't say the details, so I won't spoil ya even though you're not a motorsport fan/enthusiast. Here's the video for insight detail. → [CLICK ME!] Racing games (albeit selected), on the other hand, can do whatever it takes whether a cheat code or unlocking secrets after beating the main game, or just modded the game, it is impossible to replicate in the real world. 🎮🚗 What about in the fictional cartoon world? Well, that's a whole another level! 😨

Nevertheless, Spot 🐶🏎️ attempts the high speed jump with his Spotster LMP during test drive on their family's race track. That might be a bad idea, but will he able to survive at the that break-neck speed with a flip from the wind? 💨🚗😧

Spot 🐶🏎️: Of course, I do! 😁 We all know our families never afraid of sky high vehicle stunts, like this awesome flying flip! 😉 And NEWS FLASH, I survived from a high flip, and it was GLORIOUS!
