Tadasana
Tadasana is also known as Palm tree pose and Heavenly sum. Tadasana is one of the basic asanas of yoga. Tadasana is used to increase the length of the body and to make the muscles flexible. It is made up of the words' taad + asana. Here tad means palm tree and asana means yoga posture. Therefore, the asana which helps in elongating the body like a palm tree or by adopting the shape of a palm tree is formed is called Tadasana. By the way, in Sanskrit, the palm is also called synonymous with mountain, which is a symbol of length. Tadasana strengthens the digestive system, improves blood circulation in the body, and strengthens the knees, ankles, and hands. It is a type of standing yoga posture and also a modern-day yoga practice. It is very easy to perform. This is considered as one among the basis yoga posture for practicing various other standing yoga asanas. It is also known as palm tree pose. Steps to practice this yoga posture Stand straight on the ground or on the yoga mat & stretch your arms straight forward. Interlock your fingers. Place your interlocked palms on the head. Stretch your arms upward in a twisting way such that your palms will face the sky or the ceiling. Try to stretch enough so that your biceps touch your ears. Simultaneously with stretching your arms lift up your hells and stand on your toes. Hold yourself in this asana for 1 minute. Relax and repeat for 5 times.
