The article "Shooting from Cover — The Key to Gunfight Survival?" by GunSpot, published on The Armory Life, emphasizes the critical importance of using cover effectively during a firefight. It highlights the distinction between "cover" and "concealment" and introduces techniques like "slicing the pie" for safely engaging threats without exposing oneself. The article also features insights from Grant LaVelle, a seasoned SWAT team member, who underscores keeping a safe distance from cover to minimize bodily exposure while shooting. The piece stresses seeking professional firearms training beyond the concepts discussed and encourages practical drills under controlled conditions. The article is bolstered by visual examples of tactical positioning behind cover, advocating realistic practice in environments that simulate real-world obstacles. Overall, it serves as a practical guide on enhancing survivability during armed confrontations.

It’s more than a right, or the culture, or even Americana… for me it’s a passion. Training? Yes! Collecting? Of course! Shooting? Absolutely! This passion is a hobby that creates so much discipline and learning opportunities right alongside immense joy, that its pursuit runs far beyond the roar of the crowd screaming for its extinction. Equating evil to an engineer’s creation of wood, steel, polymer, and other metals to embody evil is the epitome of both blatant ignorance and staggering stupidity. The limits, laws, attacks, and anger towards the owners, hobbyist, defenders, and producers are tiresome and dangerous. However, this particular article is framed to illustrate the sheer magnitude of joyful exuberance that can be felt in the firearms community. In specificity, let’s address the simple and amazing process of firing a firearm on the range.. The acrid smell of gunpowder hanging in the air as the report of a well aimed shot fades from your ears.. your eyes find the evidence of a true and precise hit on the target.. You have just experienced the manufacturing, engineering, training, and execution of a controlled explosion at just the right power, propelling a projectile to a precise point over a certain distance away.. You have enjoyed the ergonomically designed, aesthetically pleasing, and tactically functional device you are manipulating perform in the way it was designed to perform. The enjoyment of such a milli-second of time can provide the heart of an enthusiast is unmatched by almost any other experience known to mankind.. Truthfully, the absence of such moments in the lives of young people is a shame. For those of us who know the passion and the pleasure and also possess the skills to share and teach the present generation we should surely spend the time to invest milli-second moments of great fun in others. May the rights never be taken, may the culture grow, and may shooting, collecting, and training always be Americana!

Rewatching all HTTYD media and realising Hiccup is one of the best shots of the show like genuinely sticks funeral arrow hitting the target that far away, the fact he shot down toothless in pitch blackness while toothless was completely camouflaged there's some more I'm missing but damn get that kid in the Olympics right this second
