Tutorial on how to convert a object with 2 textures!

Okay so i havent seen anyone make a tutorial about this i know @gruesim did a few years ago but i will do one aswell idk i just what to lol anyways,,,hope this help!

Step 1:

if you open the mesh in blender tou will see in the little box where it says texture that there is 2 textures export them both aswell as them mesh  And when you see in blender the file will have 2 objects or meshes in the side panel 

Click on one mesh and hold shift to select the other one now exsport them out of blender as a ,obj file

STEP 2:

Now open milkshape and import the object you just exported out of blender

the object will show up as s4studio_mesh_0 and 1 in milkshape as it was in blender  now always rename the main part of object is the way i can put i as group_0 

now this it the main part of my  object that will have different swatches rename it to group_0 and the other part as group_1 After renaming your objects export it our as a tsrw object for it to be able to import into TRSW 

STEP 3:

Now open TSRW (NOTE NEWER VERTIONS OF TSRW WILL NOT DO IT YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD A OLD VERTION YOU CAN FIND HERE) you have to pick a reference mesh depending on your object you making, I normally pick a small plant if its a decor object  After you choose your reference object,delete the shadow group that is group_0 i normaly do that sins i dont always like the shaddows

Right click and click remove a pop up will come up and just click yes After you removed the shaddow group right click again and click on duplicate  a pop up will come up and just click yes again now the new groups name will also be group_0,right click again and click on rename to group_1

It should look like this now

 now for the medium detail you do the same but DONT DELETE THE GROUP_0 JUST RIHGHT CLICK AND DUPLICATE THE GROUP! boom there we go :D

STEP 4:

Time to import the mesh you just exported out of milkshape as a .tsrw fike

now mine is imported click on the 3 small dots next to material by group_1  this will pop up

click on phong and it will drop down a bunch of crap 

Click on phong alpha and a pop up will come up just click yet now after that click on alpha phong again and click back on phong the pop up will come back and just click yes again

now it will look like this

now you can delete alpha map, ambient occlusion map, dirt overlay.normal map and sparkle cube and now it will look like this :)

STEP 5

NOW its time to import your second texture map you exported out of s4s Click on diffuse map >edit>import (import the second texture you exported out of s4s)  Click okay  and done now there is a pop up that will say this 

click yes and yes again and then you complete!

NOTE OBJECT WILL SOMETIMES LOOK WEIRD JUST IMPORT THEM AGAIN AND IT WILL LOOK FINE! ASWELL AS THIS TEXTURE WILL NOT BE RECOLORABLE!

now you can import your object texture as you normaly would, please ask me anything if you miss understand some stuff i will be happy to explain hope anyone will find this usefull if not can watch Frankie's video over here for help

Hi! Do u know how to default replace roof color textures? Will it be the same way how it’s done with plants & trees? Like Using s3OC Then Just extract & edit the dds image from S3PE and replacing the new file with the old? Or will i have to do it Thru trsw?

Should work via s3oc but in case it’s not an object I would search the roof name in the game data files to find the dds! Tsrw won’t work as it’s not default.

Ooooookay... I think I need help! The first two are from in game and the last is from CAW. Why is there straw sticking out, I’ve tried opening them in... TRSW *shivers*, but couldn’t see where them straws would be hiding. I then dabbled in the dark magics of Milkshape, trying exporting the mesh and Harry Pottering it into Milkshape, which of course proved, that I must be a squib, cuz that sure failed!  “Help me Obi Wan Tumblroni you are my only hope!”

I made this pattern for the sofa myself. And they all follow the same so you can use them: select the sofa with CAS-tool and choose the preset that has this pattern. With it selected just drag to the item you want to color with that same pattern ... :)

I've been following your and Mimisapje's tutorials learning to make clothes and convert from other games. My issue is I get everything going and done in Blender, move over to Milkshape to get it into TSRW and I can't export my files as wso. I copied the Milkshape plugins from TRSW into my Milkshape folder, I have the align normals plugin as well which shows up no problem. Have I put the plugins in the wrong spot? I've figured everything else out but this! I've even redownloaded both MS & TSRW :(
