negative connotations to Arabic phrase ‘God is Great’ incorrect. average praying Muslim does takbir (says Allahu Akbar) a minimum 95 times a day and should have been counted.
#minimum#like MIMIMUM.#each day#like that’s just for the 5 prayers#only the obligatory ones it doesn’t include the additional voluntary ones most people also tend to do at some point#it doesn’t include regular use of the phrase in conversation#the phrase is literally used as an exclamation#like if you say ‘Allahu akbar my shift is over! I can go home alhumdulilah!’#like I don’t know what to tell you#western news-media connotations are so weird#you literally yell takbir to celebrate as well#saw a thing where everyone did takbir every time someone donated a huge amount to charity like brooooooooo#people be laughing so hard and getting Allahuakbar Allahuakbar out while wheezing#you score a goal? Allahu akbar alhumdulilah#this is very normal culturally transmitted info#Christian Arabs use the phrase as well like it's Arabic come on western media you’re not even trying#it’s such a joke#95 doesn't even include the 2 calls to prayer#it doesn't count people who do the extra allahu akbar (x33) after each prayer#doesn't include anything recited before bed#like. these are not uncommon things people choose to do. like...... BRO???#if you've ever seen Muslims praying in a group the person leading the prayer does the takbir out loud. that's literally how it's done#there are like 7 or 5 'Allahu akbar's in each round of prayer#you can't NOT say that part out loud it's literally THE part that has to be said out loud in each prayer#this information is very available online#you can say it before doing anything idk why it became a big deal in the west especially#it's some strange xenophobic Islamophobic normalise killings in those regions of the world mix#I’ve been getting recommended so many Arabic anime edits idk what to tell you#call everyone habibi it’s good for you#one of the most popular world languages fr

Are you normal or are you crying at like 11 pm thinking about how little affection Gladion has from other human beings in his life?
Like the Lusamine issue is the biggest one. But his dad got sucked into a wormhole and then noped off to Poke Pelago (and in USUM, Lusamine decides not to tell him about his family). Team Skull treats him like fucking dirt, and in the end, they're an extension of Lusamine. Lillie and Wicke are nice to everyone, but they never show Gladion as much attention as they do Lusamine, or even the player.
The anime did address the Mohn issue better than the games. But it made the mistake of neutering Lusamine's villainy. So the happy family seems...hollow to me. The Gladion in this particular image just doesn't feel like him.
As I wrote this rant- which is a long time coming and I'm sorry- I realized it's empty because the writers are determined to "redeem" Lusamine, and in doing so require every other character to forgive her. But (game continuity) Gladion has no reason to do so. Not after what she did to his sister, or Silvally.
Not after what she did to him.
I feel like Gladion's departure in USUM should have been permanent. He needs a support system outside the Aether Foundation- wherever he has to go to find it. He has his Pokemon (many of which are friendship evolutions, so there's no doubt there's affection from them). But he needs a person to talk to. He needs to cope with what happened to him and his family. He needs and deserves friends and a healthy life.
Lillie chose to forgive Lusamine and the Aether Foundation. Gladion does not have to forgive. It's not in his character. Moreover, it's not a fucking requirement. There should be zero pressure on him to have anything to do with Lusamine, Team Skull, or the Aether Foundation. "But who will run the Aether Foundation in Sun and Mo-" nobody. Let it crumble. It was a sham the moment Lusamine and Nihilego met.
Gladion should be allowed to walk away and find happiness elsewhere. The Pokemon World is big. Countless regions exist, and more are being discovered. They're full of people. He doesn't have to suffer alone.
I didn't mean to turn this into an essay. But I have so many Thoughts about him...

Weird take, but ever since I lost my mind I've kind of wished people would compliment me more on my looks than my intelligence. I know it's a bit strange, but I feel I can control my looks but I don't feel like I can control my intellect. I don't feel like it's the result of hard work. It's a matter of luck and I've been unlucky, and now it's gone. I don't think as quickly, or as rationally, or as clearly as before. Yet people will look at my past accomplishments and say that surely I must be intelligent, that I must be worthy of their attention, that if I just pulled myself together I could do whatever they were attempting to flatter me into doing.
That doesn't work anymore; it just upsets me. True, I remember how to talk. I'm relatively fortunate in that respect. But I'd like to be seen as having value as a person whether or not I am intelligent. People have generally learned that people should not be valued solely on their looks, but that's not the end of it. People are worthy of respect because they are people. The right to dignity came free with your humanity.

The convenience of each language (single stroke index: SS index)
When it comes to conveying information quickly, the convenience of the language speaks for itself. It's not a case of being glamorous, it's about speed rather than perfection. Even if it's just a slightly strange expression, it's fine. English seems to be quite fast, but I made the following considerations. It analyzes whether or not each character can be written in one stroke for languages that use phonograms.
1-(P/L)::*
, and * is called the unicursal exponent. In English, a single stroke is called a single stroke, so it is also called the SS index. Below, for each language
1) English: The only letters that cannot be written in one stroke are i, j, t, and x, which is 26 letters.
1 - (4/26) = 0.84
2) Russian: It seems difficult, but the cursive handwriting is surprisingly simple, and there are 6 letters that cannot be written in a single stroke, so there are 32 letters in total.
1 - (6/32) = 0.81
3) Japanese (Hiragana)
There are 32 characters that cannot be written with a single stroke, and a total of 47 characters, so
1 - (32/47) = 0.32
Japanese (katakana) can only be written with 7 characters
1 - (40/47) = 0.15
The katakana seems to be very inefficient.
4) Arabic: There are 17 characters that cannot be written in a single stroke, so a total of 30 characters
1 - (17/30) = 0.43
5) German has three symbols called Umlaut.
1 - (7/30) = 0.77
6) French There are many additional symbols such as Axantegu. (By the way, there is also a bonus that the unread character string continues at the end of the word)
1 - (18/40) = 0.55
7) Consider Greek lowercase letters only
1 - (8/24) = 0.67
Regardless of today's situation, in the old days on the battlefield, transmitting information as simply as possible was a major factor in determining the outcome of a war. In that sense, English was the closest thing to a "world language," and in fact, it has become a "world language."
**Please note that this SS Index consideration is based on the assumption that all phonetic characters have equal frequency of use. **

We are three years into this pandemic. How has this not spurred the medical community into fixing their definition of “aerosol”. I know that it’ll take a long time, but I still haven’t heard any whispers of the process of the process STARTING.
This isn’t just “it really confuses people the way you use the term”. I’m certain that there were people who missed very relevant research papers because they saw the term “aerosol” and went “no, this is an airborne disease”.
#under normal circumstances I'm sure#that someone will say#hey did you remember to look for papers about aerosols too#because airborne disease often spreads that way#but things had to happen so quickly#and so many people who didn't have the experience#were looking into safety precautions#that if public health said#oh turns out that best practices now are for airborne#not aerosol#any information about actual aerosols would have gotten rejected#along with the information about medical aerosols#I'm fully convinced that we'll never find out#if COVID-19 is actually airborne#or just transmits via finer aerosols#because the question just wouldn't make sense#to a lot of medical researchers#is it airborne or airborne?#why would I look into that?

Blockchain is a revolutionary technology that allows information to be stored and transmitted in a transparent, secure and decentralized manner. This technology was originally developed for the underlying technology of Bitcoin, but has now been expanded to many other application areas. The following is a detailed introduction to blockchain technology, including its working principle, key features and application scenarios.
