"Aw, Agnes sweetie, is your nose dry again? Come here, let's get you some tissues and clean you up. Keep your head forward." soothed the human adult.

"Can I change my shirt too?"

"Of course buddy."

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! SHE NEED MEDICAL-!"

"Would you zip it?! She's fine! It's just a bloody nose from her nose being so dry--the inside skin is sensitive and a small blood vessel was probably ruptured. It sounds and looks bad but honestly it's not a serious thing."

"...are you sure?" they fearfully asked.

"Positive. I get the same thing all the time when sick. It'll go away in a few minutes. Now for future reference just give the kid lots of tissues and have them hold it to their nose. Keep their head facing forward; if they tilt back the blood will flow into their throats, and if they tilt forward they'll bleed more."

"...understood."

"Good. Now maybe go apologize to Agnes for traumatizing her for the past 5 minutes."

"That's a good idea."

"I'll give her some of my blood as an apology."

"...that's nice but maybe don't."

As I'm studying, I keep finding fascinating tidbits of mining history/mineral processing that I want to write about. Like Tellurium is highly toxic, and even in low doses, (10 ppm), will give people "garlic breath". That's so cool!!! Gold-Tellurium processing is really cool!!!

shout out to the very distinct feeling of 'oh god i'm going to become at least mildly annoying about this aren't i'. binging ds9 season 1 and i outright giggled at a very small mannerism julian did. got hyped when o'brien showed up. grinned widely at kira just Being There. felt the urge to yell and cheer and scream at the slightest hint of whump. the character dynamics and friendships are beginning to interweave like strings in a tapestry and i almost detonated upon realising this. uh oh.

Occasionally Lyr will carry smaller critters with their mouth if they're in a situation where they need both hands or the critter really needs to hide. While they normally have a good grip on their instincts accidents do happen sometimes and they end up with an unintended guest. This is part of the reason they avoid one on one interactions with the smaller creatures that set off their instincts but its kinda hard to avoid a small human when they live on the same ship as you and follow you around like a lost duckling.

The resident human was let out as soon as they calmed down enough to be safely spat up. The incident caused their relationship to take several larges steps back but they were able to repair that with time. Or, at least, as much as they could repair it.

Usualy someone pushes me in that chair but I can push very short distanses! I like that it is pink hehe and ithas a tray !
