For those who like Nuzi and don’t know color theory: Fun fact! Purple and yellow are exact opposites on the color wheel. If you invert either you’ll get the other- so N and Uzi are not only opposites in personalities, but also in color schemes! The more you know! Or something-

(Found this image on Twitter)
I really don't like the Omega kids. I take them as seriously as I take the alphasprites, they don't exist to me. Hearing you guys talk about these little mistakes feels like watching everyone talk about a hypothetical scenario or dream some guy had once... which is the Homestuck experience now.
I dislike them, but it's not just because their stories stem from terrible couples, it's because they're so over designed but there is no meaning to anything.
Tumblr media
It's cute Tavros has a bow tie and that Harry has a bandana but those feel like little trinkets that should have been added on later after we get used to seeing them. Show me their personalities first before you overload a character with this much clothing. Yiffy is the worst of these. It's too much. For some reason Eridan feels like a simpler design than this avril lavigne clone. There is something less cohesive and more busy about these designs than the original cast. Maybe it's because it has too many different grays and blacks. She looks more like a vast error character than a Homestuck one.
Look at how simple the character designs start out as, and then they purposely make their own outfits that fit their interests and personalities. Dirk may be a bit of an exception here actually, he changes his clothes right after he is introduced. Which introduces him as anal.
There is meaning here. There is a purpose that the story shares throughout it's run. Look at Rose's dress it was made from the velvet pillow introduced when her mom one-upped her and Roxy's outfit here clearly being a reference to her mom's love of knitting. There is a reason Jade wears blue and John wears green even though that isn't their colors. Dave's shades are a gift from John. John is wearing a bootlegged slimer shirt. I'm not saying the Omega kids need every article of clothing to have a backstory, but if they wear this much clothing it doesn't tell me much.
Why does Yiffy wear cleats if she was hidden away from the world? Did she run around in a backyard like a dog or something? I don't even remember if that is her story or not, I forgot so much about her because I was more focused on how she was a child that Rose had behind her wife's back. They're overloaded with drama too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To add to that. I haven't placed much thought in it but I don't know what the Omega kids color scheme is supposed to be. I assume the Beta kids colors come from basic web colors. If you invert the beta kid's colors you get the Alpha kids color scheme.
The Omega kids just feel scattered and unorganized. It makes them feel even more meaningless because they don't fit in. If that is the point then why not have five kids to really fuck with the system here? The writers should have really ran with the whole "we're flipping the script and subverting expectations" thing.
I also don't give a shit if this is nitpicky, I'm sure you guys can all see there is something off about the omega kids.
I agree about the accessories doesn't really show they are connected with the Beta Kid adults. If the bandana is suppose to be like a replacement to how Roxy wears a scarf, then let the boy wear a scarf and not a stupid gay bandana. You think that Kanaya, who is a fashionista herself, would be critical of what her daughter, Vrissy wears. And if you are saying she would never reprimand her daughter because she looks like her crush, then that brings up a worse implication that she really is grooming her to be like Vriska by enabling her bad habits. What confuses me is Tavvy's overshirt has the matching color of Gamzee, the one who MOLESTED HIM. You think after his death, he would never wear that color and be disgusted by any shade of purple that's within his sight. Unless him still wearing that purple vest now is still symbolizing he is still bound by Gamzee or can't move on after what he did to him.
Tumblr media
But yeah, nothing about the Omega Kids designs makes sense. And I still am on the side that laughs at Yiffany looking more like Nostalgia Critic.

gradient maps - literally just my thoughts
if you've been on editblr at all you're bound to know em. in this post i aim to share my personal thoughts and critiques on gradient maps, as well as possible ways to utilize them in your works
disclaimer that this post is *not* targeted towards anyone in any way, shape, or form! i'm simply stating my opinion. if this is how you like to edit that's perfectly okay, and you don't have to change that
i'll begin by explaining some issues i personally see with them.
i find that a lot of edits seem to just use the gradient map itself without any other changes. this becomes an issue when people are creating gradient map edits that have very low contrast as it prevents people who are visually impaired from being able to see your edits.
Tumblr media
something as simple as changing the blending mode you use can easily help you use a gradient map much differently. in each blending mode variation i used only *one* layer and simply just changed the mode and level of opacity.
gradient maps can be *very* useful in edits, and using different blending modes with those gradient maps opens up opportunity to more interesting colorings. below i have examples of psd colorings ive made all using gradient maps in different ways
Tumblr media
while it is undoubtedly true that not every editor uses photoshop or photopea or a program that has the kind of adjustment layers those programs use, most do have gradient maps. so it makes sense why a lot of editors would rely a lot on them.
some of the blending modes i personally find the most useful (and used myself in the above colorings) would be: divide, soft light, multiply, luminosity, and color.
Tumblr media
with divide you have to make some... kind of ugly gradient maps. but when you switch the blending mode to divide and set down the opacity a bit it turns out looking really nice! with divide its important to note that your gradient map will be using the *inverted* colors of the color scheme you're going for. that is why the gradient maps will look strange
Tumblr media
soft light is much more subtle in the way it colors your image, therefor the gradient map you use may want to be very dramatic in the colors it uses. the soft change in color is perfect for when you want a more subtle change to more closely bring the different colors of the edit together. if you want a more dramatic light, its sibling hard light can do that job for you.
Tumblr media
i find multiply works better with darker colorings, i usually lower the opacity while using it as well. i tend to use a broader range of dark to light colors in the gradient map i'm using with multiply
Tumblr media
luminosity can either have a very dramatic, or very subtle effect depending on the colors you use. i encourage you to play with this mode a lot! it can create some interesting effects that i don't really know how to describe
Tumblr media
color does as it says it does! it changes the colors of the image to the colors on the layer. it doesn't change the saturation of the colors, however. it's essentially like if you hue-shifted them. you can use this to create very drastic changes in color, or to establish what colors you primarily want to be in your coloring
i don't really have much else to say other than to have fun with it! i just pointed out different ways to use gradient maps as a tool for your editing, if you decide to follow my advice or not is totally up to you. if you have any questions or comments feel free to shoot me an ask or throw it in the reblogs and i'll answer to the best of my ability. happy editing!

Phandom Holiday Truce Time!
(For maximum experience, please turn the light mode on.)
Tumblr media
Sorry for keeping you waiting, @raaorqtpbpdy here's your @phandomholidaytruce gift!
When I saw the prompts "Danny-Wes Role Swap", comboed with the No One Knows AU, Creepy Cryptid Danny and your mention about the Ghost King Danny trope only used in a significant way, the gif "I have a MIGHTY need!" started playing in a loop, so here's the bg for this mini-comic.
Before the Portal Accident, Wes and Danny were friends. Not as close as Danny and Tucker, but they sometimes hung out when the Fentons were too busy to entertain Wes' interest in the occult.
My boy Wes Weston has also a side hobby/obsession with basket and it all started since he watched for the first time Space Jam. (It doesn't help that I headcanon Amity Park in Illinois, which means Chicago Bulls.)
(So he plays basket because His Airness does so and because MJ was involved and interacted with the embodiment of a visual novel. Talk about supernatural!)
(Yes, I'm saying that crossovers between animated and physical world can count as a supernatural and ghost-related event.)
All of this premise was to introduce the personalized jumpsuit that the Fentons made for Wes with the colors and accessories of the Chicago Bulls.
(Jack made a mistake with the number and stitched only the "2", so once Wes became a halfa, he added the "3" with marker and later learned to shapeshift enough to change some of the inverted colors of the jumpsuit. Originally it was white with red inserts, the accident made it black with blue inserts, then the shapeshift finally made it black with red inserts.)
Since it's a No One Knows AU, Wes was alone when the accident happened, but being the smart bean he is, no one discovered that he's a halfa until Danny, much like Jazz in canon, discovers Wes' double nature after stalking investigating him.
Like sister, like brother, Danny doesn't say anything to Wes about knowing, but here and then he assists (in the shadows) Wes in ghost wrangling.
Due to living above the active portal and Maddie experimenting with ectoplasm while pregnant, Jazz and Danny are liminal, the latter more than the former. (Thus, Danny becomes the creepy cryptid of Amity Park.)
Even if Danny isn't a halfa, Vlad still tries his scheme of stealing the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Rage to obtain enough power to defeat Wes' hero persona (who Vlad believes is a full ghost).
Much akin the Reign Storm episode, Amity ends in the Ghost Zone, but Wes gets stuck fighting "alone" the army (the Fentons and a reluctant Plasmius do the same on another front after the Ecto-suit is deemed a failure).
While his parents are out fighting, Danny sneaks in the lab and fixes the Ecto-suit (my boy is as much as a genius as his family, after all), then goes to challenge Pariah.
Due to his liminality, after the victory, Danny IS eligible for the Throne, so he becomes the King. (He doesn't discover this immediately, but when the Observants start bothering him, he gets the explanation.)
So, after declaring Amity Park Wes' (and his) Haunt and a No Fight Zone, the ghost attacks practically stop, leaving Wes on edge, because he doesn't know about the Law.
Thus, we're back to this mini-comic! Danny decides to finally reveal both that he knows Wes is a halfa and that he's the Ghost King, but where would be the fun if he didn't mess with Wes a bit? So he amps his creepy factor and plays a Yandere act (he isn't, he's doing so just for the prank. As a matter of fact, 3-5 seconds after the last declaration, he bursts out cackling at Wes appropriate horrified face, then after moving to a more private place -a roof-, Danny explains everything.)
Does this became a UFS? I like to think so, but you're free to decide.
I'm adding the non transparent versions under for those without the light mode:

RomoAbstainer / SexuAbstainer
Flag remakes of this Romantically Abstainer flag and this Sexually Abstainer flag.
Made using my general Romo flag and general Sexu flag respectively. I took the five middle stripes from those flags and used an inverted color scheme on the outer two stripes to represent abstaining.
Made for anon, who only requested the first one but I figured I'd make them both since I already had the template up!

I still think The Batman's version of Wrath is the best "Evil Batman" we have that's not a literal evil Batman like Owlman or The Batman Who Laughs. He's a great amalgamation of the other anti-Batmen you mentioned. He's got the backstory and look of the original, but the color scheme of Catman helps him stand out against the Dark Knight while not looking completely garish like his comics counterpart. Not to mention Scorn's monochromatic color scheme is a great contrast to the bright and colorful Robin as well, so kudos there. And he's got the inverted morality and M.O. of Killer Moth as a protector of criminals, which really digs into the motivation of Batman and warps it. Wrath's parents were arrested/killed like Bruce's, so he dedicates his life to protecting others against those who wronged him in the past. The catch is, he's protecting evil people from those who wish to seek justice. It's much more interesting than him just being a glorified serial killer with a hate boner for cops.
As far as the concept of "Evil Batmen" go, there's a lot of ways you can go about it. Wrath, especially the one from "The Batman," is definitely one of the more unique interpretations. However, my personal favorite would be either Owlman (more than one take) or the "Justice Lord" version of Batman from the DCAU. I'm really not a fan of "The Batman Who Laughs." Cool visuals do not a worthy character make on their own, and I think he is sorely overrated.

it wouldn’t be the linda fairbairn extended universe without air caledonian! (enlarge for better quality. notes below)
(a320 illustrations provided for free personal use)
i spent almost eight hours total doing this and i do not regret a single minute of it 😮‍💨😮‍💨
the liveries
literally fought for my life with the clipping masks 😵‍💫
Tumblr media
this is my attempt at a ‘retro’ livery which was sort of teased in late 2022
it combines a few elements that saw some vogue in the 70s (the cheatline, or the stripe running down the fuselage) and the hockey stick (the cheatline being carried up into the tail, which i…sort of did…to incorporate it into the saltire) combined with an element that didn’t really become popular until after the 70s (the ‘eurowhite’ color scheme that forced me to invert the saltire)
if caledonian’s origins can be traced back to regional flights in the very late 70s, slowly growing the fleet until acquiring the A320 to expand its range, i’d want it to have a sort of ‘retro’ looking livery. the original planes probably wouldn’t have been white, though. most likely aluminum
i used helvetica for the name of the airline on the side of the fuselage, which also happens to look very similar to the font of choice for philippine airlines. i did not realize this until after i’d exported it because my dad looked over my shoulder and commented.
Tumblr media
this is their ‘redesign’ livery and the last one before the acquisition. i’d previously depicted a version of it back in 2021 but when i tried it for size parts of it looked so horrifying that i had to change it up a bit
caledonian has always existed in my head as some mix of ‘national carrier’ and ‘budget airline’ swinging a little more toward the latter for purposes of the lfeu so the bold color scheme and billboard style is honestly inspired by airlines like southwest (thank god they’re not shit brown anymore), easyjet (easy go… and thee air caledonian blueprint), and spirit (highlighter planes)
the saltire was literally me messing around with brushes and realizing like hmmmm. this actually looks pretty neat! now i know i’ve been saying air caledonian’s probably a budget airline, but as stated before, it’s also got some elements of the national carrier thing going, which is why i’m so insistent on the saltire motif
not to do with the livery but i also think since cal exists in that grey area they do have certain elements of a Not Low Cost Airline (like business class vs economy seats…i mean you’re not lying flat in any of these planes lol but you can have a kit if the pilots didn’t burgle the socks out of them) and that could have financially hurt them which would make selling out to swiss more appealing and less wounding that a ‘national carrier’ is being chopped. idk how this works though. im playing with airlines like dolls
the uniforms
i love designing uniforms. actually i love uniforms in general. i miss wearing a school uniform i did not have to think about what to wear on a daily basis. i could commit time to silly fanfiction and my meager attempts at making my own drawing style
qantas did not have tailored uniforms for differing body types until 2016 but this is fiction and the chief pilot of air cal is canonically a #GirlDad. we have tailored uniforms here. and a hat/tie variant. and a skirt option.
i reasoned since air caledonian is a scottish airline it should have formalized cold weather uniform requirements and i saw some rly cute pullover sweaters (think they were on easyjet pilots) so those went in
also the reason hats are required with the trench coat is for easy recognizability. this is indeed a policy at some airlines. martin crieff does have a point here.
oh also i darkened the jackets and trousers lol i just felt like it looked better
i think that’s all i wanted to say…

Knight! Capitano x Witch! Yan(?)Reader
Tags: Angst?, blood, friends to enemies to ???, malpractice, cycle, Reader kinda lost her marbles. Help, I lost track of time and I should be doing other fics right about now instead of this. Comfort/hurt or hurt/comfort, unrequited love? Disturbing implications if you squint.
Thank @capitanossanctuary for this infected brain rot last night. And @mellowwillowy, I did it y'all...
“To find one's self, one must destroy the image built upon you by others. Only then will you have the answer in your grasp.” - Scribe
Tumblr media
This time, it will- no, it MUST work! The potion’s effects are in motion, the ruffles from the bed sounded. Any previous doubt has been pushed aside by another notion.
“Morning, I have breakfast ready.” A chance to see him again, your beloved Knight.
Risen from the bed, there presented to you, your latest result of your endeavors. Just as handsome as you last saw him. Not minding the loss of his cheek muscle that you could see his teeth and inside of his mouth.
Sat upon the pure white chair, you had prepared all the necessities for the little welcome tea party for the Knight in shining armor. Soon, the clanks of metal made their way to you upon the seat across from you. Reassembling him would require extensive work.
“Eat up, if you’re lucky enough you won’t rot.” You jest, even though it is to see if he still has any recollection. Gesturing for him to reach in for the treats and sweets prepared for him, sandwiches included. Even without his blade, the mere strength in his flesh still remains.
He seems to be taken aback, the man before you is a witch hunter. Your partner under the reign of the Queen that ordered the extinction of a whole race. How ironic that you’ve turned to such craft when life snuffed out of his body, leaving you all alone. You still remembered how he had revered his ‘Lady’ as this perfect being, a true witch in disguise!
“There is no poison.” He spoke in a hoarse yet still deeply rich voice, you tried your best to preserve his body for so long, so lovingly. The thought alone made you shudder of how many adventures would take place once he had adjusted to the current body just like before.
“There isn’t.” You confirmed, leaning back to your chair. The rather large witch’s hat jingles with the bell at the end of it. Your dark colored robes have long since been tainted by the dark spell that binds you to its will.
Even without direct words, the gestures, intense gaze at your ‘ruined’ state. Eyes once shown light and bubbly attitude, now reduced to a slave of your own twisted desires.
“I could say the same to you, dear friend.” You picked up your tea cup and took a sip.
“My partner wouldn’t betray me like this, who are you witch that dared to replicate my friend’s face?!” He snarled, fist made contact with the table making an audible dull sound,
Dainty hands slammed the cup onto the table rather forcibly, a smile only cracked, “Even if you inverted this entire world with your bare hands, this is reality!” That is the truth, and nothing but the truth. Going against what you two were fighting for, those don’t matter to you anymore, none of it.
Standing up, flap the tatters of your robes, “Wipe off your pus darling and grind down your vitamins.” scarred hands rubbed against the deteriorating skin of your beloved. The food may not be a staple necessity to him anymore in this form. But you had crushed all herbs and elements to sustain him further, knowing he treasures strength above all.
“Page six-seventeen.” Tossing a worn tome that reveals the gruesome scheme of the various experiments to reanimate him. Such witchery! It cannot be allowed, you aren’t allowed anymore!
Fuming with rage, Capitano had raised his hand to smack your hand away from him. “Don’t act so irrationally, Ga1ahad. Don’t be like your father, Lancel0t." You teased, though that attack did hurt. Leaving a bruise on your frail and pallid skin that had longed to see the light of day.
“Hm, this is an improvement, dear. Let your blood oscillate, results, generate more!” You had pretended this is part of your devious plan to make him feel good about himself for figuring you out.
To be frank in this battle of sorcery and steel. Both of you are such morons, Don Quixote. Giving so much of yourself to him yet it does not reciprocate. Blinded by ideals to how much have been destroyed and only the essence of yourselves are laid bare. No code of morals, nor the law would approve any of their relationship. Your profound adoration and love exceeds what he can take and couldn’t give back.
One wouldn’t admit their mistake to the other, as this vicious cycle of torment spirals out of control. All for the sole person to just look at the other. ‘My God/dess never looked at me’ The pure idolization is sickening, smothering even.
Until such a point, seeking forgiveness is merely an option they had not explored. Battered, bruised and bleeding. Il Capitano stopped and looked at your pitiful state.
“Think about it, __. If you are a witch, it would cost you everything. Such sin cannot be forgiven! What is left for you after everything is said and done?! After a millennia worth of damnation, what else is precious to you that wouldn’t leave?”
“You … I’d… Still have you, my beloved Captain.” You choked out, wholeheartedly. Truly did love him, more than the one he so dearly admired.

Finding time to draw and have the motivation to do it has been tough.
So I've started to just... sketch ideas whenever they pop into my mind... like sketches that could take around an hour max.
Like this eye strain below the read more! Randomly thought what if there was a PJ who 'errored' out. (Aka what happens if I inverted PJ's color scheme). It's... certainly interesting!
Hopefully I'll be able to show more of these types of sketches (regardless of how rough it is XD)
((but seriously I thought PJ's CMYK color scheme was already blinding my eyes in some instances... inverting those colors can be eye straining so heads up!))
So here's an inverted color PJ digital sketch -
Tumblr media
And now I'll wait to see how long it will take to see this in my nightmares XD

i had a dream two nights ago about a society of robots that i (or maybe my oc) found myself in, flesh amongst a sea of circuits
the designs for these anthropomorphic robots were still decidedly humanoid, but still distinct enough to be visually interesting.
unfortunately, i don't remember many of them, or the encounters that happened to the dream protagonist, except for one of them:
i do not remember the name of the robot in question but i do know what they looked like and what happened to them.
their general color scheme was gray, with teal-blue and yellow highlights. perhaps about 6.5 to 7 feet tall, they had relatively spindly limbs with some exposed wiring. the digits of these limbs were fairly rudimentary and boxy, but still with five fingers on each hand, which were perhaps the most human-looking body part; the feet had two "toes" each. the elbows and knees had exposed servos and gears that would move as they bent those limbs.
most notably, they had a sort of "tv head", but it looked more like a computer monitor; it was not a flat screen, but instead a row of very thin lights that varied in brightness from being completely off to a light blue. they also had two long antennae off the top of either side of their head.
these lights seemed to supposed to be on by default, but for whatever reason, about half of them were in an inverted state, distributed somewhat randomly, so their "face" looked like a barcode. the lights would change in brightness (and between on/off) whenever they spoke, kind of like a futurama robot.
during my encounter with them, one of their legs had supposedly been destroyed, and they were next to a bench in the middle of a park, nobody helping them. the damage had rendered their other leg unusable, so they were sort of sat there defeatedly, staring at the exposed wires, occasionally sparking.
i stumbled upon them and offered my assistance, to which they begged for a replacement leg. after scrounging one up, i managed to find one; didn't quite fit their color scheme, it looked more red, but it would work suitably and was the same size. after some hassle attaching it, their legs still didn't work.
the problem was a lack of electricity. to fix this, i grabbed a tazer and something metal to act as a conduit, attached one end of the conduit to their new leg and the other to the end of the tazer, and fired the tazer. the resulting shock had them faint, but after coming to, their legs were working again. they were overwhelmingly grateful and i stuck to them like glue for the remainder of my trip through the strange city i had found myself in
i think they even gave me a ride on their shoulders.

Run Away With Me, Girl Volume 3: As Far Away As Possible
Tumblr media
A satisfying but emotional ending can be a hard thing to pull off sometimes. Can you get the right balance of drama and satisfaction? Finding the right stopping point that doesn't leave readers with too many questions? Does it fit within the goal/meaning of the story? It's no small feat to bring something to a beautiful close, but this last volume of Run Away With Me, Girl manages to do just that and then some.
Before we get there though, I want to talk about Tazune. For all intents and purposes, he's a terrible person. But they do a good job of explaining that in a way that isn't venomous or particularly hateful towards him.
Allow me to explain. Tazune is shown to be controlling, misogynistic, unstable, violent, and manipulative. We know this from throughout the manga, and plenty of pieces within this volume alone. Like him interrupting and talking over Maki chan, or the difference in how he approaches his significant other versus how Midori does. It's a lot of microaggressions and subversive behavior, as opposed to violent or explicitly aggressive behavior.
And I think it's a really important difference. Yeah, he still hit Midori, but alongside that he degraded her, controlled her, manipulated her, and forced distance between her and her friends. Even the slightest things like how he phrases things, or how he constantly touches or grabs Midori to steer her around. His whole character is centered around that "nice guy" front that hides his almost effortlessly nasty side.
Run Away With Me, Girl doesn't just say that lots of women are in abusive relationships. Rather, through Tazune it shows readers what a great deal of abusive and toxic relationships are like, all the little details and pieces that can break a person down, all the ways that they're degraded and relegated to property.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways, moving forward. The next piece I really loved was the whole "living the dream" bit. It changes shape and form rather frequently, but addresses the idea of a "perfect life" and how people want to escape that sorrow and sadness. Hesitating about having your child, or breaking off your engagement, or trying to marry the girl that you love. There's lots of ways that it's expressed, and I love how they slowly bring Midori and Maki out of it. By showing that even if a relationship looks cold from the outside, there's still a bright and warm light to it. Or how there's still beauty to the darker parts of life.
To that end, the biggest moments in this vein are Midori's chat with the inn keeper, and her realization from the plum tree blossoms. Specifically the latter, I love how they invert the colors to show the difference between the two scenes. Such a simple change, but brings so much more to the table.
The first is a really great piece that shows the struggles of parenting hand in hand with the best aspects. How you can still engage and find happiness and see those sparkles in it even when there's parts of it that you don't want to remember.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole sequence is really beautiful, with how Midoriwants to run away from her problems and issues. It really brings her story full circle with how she ran away from Maki in high school, and how now she's able to stand strong and stay with her.
Also, I love seeing Maki grow as a character too! She's come so far out of her indifferent shell that she'll stand up to Tazune for Midori's sake, and I think it's a really beautiful way of showing her growth as a character, and her commitment to Midori.
Tumblr media
Similarly, she expresses a lot of confidence and emotion in the face of her mother now that she's with Midori. I think it's a great moment for quite a few things, but the piece that surprised me was the mother's angle on Maki and Midori (centered around Midori being married and pregnant). Was a unique way to voice concern that didn't take a less savory route.
Tumblr media
On the tangent of other characters, and harkening back to that inverted color scheme though, this sequence from Tazune which I alluded to earlier is really chilling. Using that black to show him sinking into himself and finding something to dig up is a really great idea, and gets that point across incredibly well.
Tumblr media
Anyways, back to positive and cute stuff. I don't really have much to say about Midori and Maki getting married, but they deserve the world after the trouble they've been through. Just a really fun sequence that lets them let loose, and make their own sort of cute vows to each other in the process.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then, the cutest thing of all? There's a chapter about their child, Kon-chan, afterwards! I love it when series give a glimpse into life past the main story, and show how things have gone.
Within that frame though, Run Away With Me, Girl goes above and beyond. They address the challenges kids face with same sex couples and non-biological parents, while showing that even if Maki isn't Kon-chan's real mother, that they've still inherited so much of her through their parenting. And, that even though Maki and Midori are doing their best, there's still situations where things get out of control. Where lines are crossed and feelings are hurt. It's a really wonderful reminder that they inhabit reality, no matter how picturesque a beach is, and no matter how much they might dream of someplace else.
Run Away With Me, Girl is a very powerful but short manga that dances across the fears of marriage and pregnancy, and couples it with the unique challenges that face same sex romance, before bundling it all together with pretty art, an emotional and strong story, and memorable and (largely) loveable characters. At three volumes long, there's not really a reason to not have this outstanding story on your shelf

Well the only request I got was Biollante and I have some sketches done, but I wanted to balance these out with one ally monster and one enemy monster each for as long as it was possible so this will end on six instead of four for now.
“Hero” The design is mostly Showa with some Godzilland cartoon influence. She does sport a lot of black and yellow-orange though to try and put audiences in mind of a bumblebee, one of the few bugs that kids might be taught to think of positively to dilute Mothra from being purely 'butterfly' in the eyes of the designers. There was a lot of arguing back and forth between executives and the creative team about how overtly feminine the design should be, but eventually the executives refused to allow Mothra to be depicted in a purely natural animal fashion and hence she ended up with a few strange signifiers like apparent eyeliner over compound eyes and her 'granny bun' hairdo.
Mothra was a rather divisive character in the writing room and writers who preferred the 'cooler' or more violent looking monsters usually sidelined her heavily where fans of the monster would push her more prominently in the battles. By bulk the first team won however and for the most part Mothra's role in the series is as a support character. She ends up having a high number of episodes that she appears in but only a few in which she comes close to taking center stage, but those are often favorite episodes if nothing else for the amusing visuals of a stubby fuzzy moth-bee-butterfly proving effective in battle. Her larval form was used in flashbacks on a few occasions and she spent a handful of episodes inexplicably in larval form because the episode that was supposed to explain her starting her cycle of rebirth was pulled by censors for seeming to talk about death. It's a sought after item but largely believed to be lost media.
“Horror”
Pulling mostly from GMK and Monsterverse, Mothra is turned gangly and pale to look more disturbing. The first instinct to create a Dark Mothra is to invert her colors to be dark and adding the sort of highlight colors commonly associated with evil, but that runs a bad risk of turning her into a recolored Battra, and she does still have to be one of the most benign forces in the world or she isn't Mothra at all and the series is just grim for the sake of being edgy so there's a balance to find. Instead the changes of her color palette are meant to make her look more deathly – as butterflies will drink blood from corpses and wounds and apparently are heavily associated with death in some cultures, and instead of going for something evil like black and red her colors have been corrupted with green and purple, colors often used to designate poison. Her larval form takes a lot of liberties, pulling from assorted weird caterpillars in the world but aside from a few spikes the biggest changes are the false eyes of bluffing species. It makes her fit in with the harsh setting a little better but still allows room for Battra's larval form to be much meaner looking.
Ever the Phoenix figure, Mothra has a strange relationship with death. Every reincarnation looks a little different and wields different powers, but different incarnations of Mothra have overlap with others, but are never simply adding new powers to a complete set of old, suggesting that to some degree Mothra has to create a power set with a variety of options but limits that make it almost like she's having to create a build for a character. Some combinations are very potent but there are often problems with the fact Mothra is often putting together a build to win her last fight or guessing at what might be most useful down the line. Nuclear tests on her home island and other areas nearby and exposure to other kinds of man made pollution along with battles with Godzilla and even stranger monsters have caused a sort of corruption to set in, visible in the changes in her color scheme and patterns – even her fairy speakers have started to look a little more inhuman and just a tad bit more buggy. Still she is the bringer of peace and the one monster looking to stop the endless death, one need only look at her home island to see the depths of her commitment.
Infant island was so battered by nuclear tests back in the day and near enough monster battles it shows its scars. Every measurement modern civilization is capable of making says everyone and everything on Infant Island should be dead, yet Mothra and her people persist. However impossible it is from poor nutrients to background radiation to a host of other problems, the island teems with activity. Don't look too closely though or you might notice that they all seem just a little too locked in their routines to seem natural and maybe just look a little off and maybe feel just a bit too cold. Mothra's island is peaceful and quiet, she'll protect the people under her care from everything, just don't think too hard about those hazy eyes or about the quiet stillness of a cemetery, converts travel from around the world to join the safe haven and none of them have hand anything bad to say about moving in.

Linear? Yes.
Rigid? Yes.
Symmetrical? Yes.
The geometry of the interior is sublime. The west side perfectly mirrors the east side. One can tell that the structure is layered, you can separate what’s part of the floor, wall, and ceiling. There are small portions of sandstone smartly designed to arrange each layer, either they gradually decrease in area or increase in thickness. From a practical standpoint, these little things make the view easier for the eyes to digest. Everything serves a purpose, and the look of the location doesn’t cause any confusion.
Yet, it’s not boring.
It’s correct to believe that any design scheme incorporated into erecting structures reflects ideas of the people who have envisioned what they want their work to appear like. The ancient civilization that constructed this chamber obviously cared about the beauty of their creation: The sanguine colors that layered the golden plating implanted on the pillars add variety to what would’ve been just an ordinary sight. The walls have hieroglyphics neatly carved onto them, and the floors were smoothened out, they don’t have a rough, bricklike pattern.
In the bigger picture, all of these have meanings that will be perceived greater by those who are now long gone than the modern inhabitants who currently walk the world today. But for a trained eye, these observations aren’t that hard to make.
-
“The architecture of this place is well thought-out!” A blonde man uttered as he looks around him with his knees on the ground.
“Pay attention to what’s in front of us, please.” His partner beside him, also kneeling down.
“Allow me to indulge myself, would you? I could have used some of these designs in my palace. I’m sure it would look just as good without the rough textures!” The blonde continued on, not intent on following his companion’s orders.
“Kaveh, I hope you haven’t forgotten what you’ve said before.” Kaveh met a pair of eyes, annoyed at his behavior.
“Ah, yes, of course crybaby Alhaitham. About the task only. Got it.” Sarcastic in his reply, he is a man of his own words after all.
They both look at the ornament in front of them.
There was a tombstone of sorts standing onto the ground in front of them, in the middle of the chamber, encapsulated in tiled triangles, surrounded by littered grains of sand and stone tablets.
Perhaps this is the main attraction of the place.
“I can’t read what’s written there. So, I don’t need to be here. I look stupid pretending that I can read this thing.” Kaveh admitted. He had a disappointing look on his face, directed towards one Alhaitham that should’ve known better.
“And I can’t let you simply wander around such a hostile place as this one. We would lose this only opportunity if you set off another hidden trap again.” Alhaitham answered Kaveh’s complaint without looking at him.
Kaveh’s eyes squinted at Alhaitham, just because he is annoyed that his junior is right.
“Fine.” His admission was followed by a sigh.
He looked at the tombstone, noticing that Alhaitham’s gaze hasn’t differed at all, still examining the epitaph written in the same hieroglyphs.
“What are we even looking at anyway? A bunch of small drawings of a pigeon, an inverted balloon, a headless spider, a snake and a flagpole. Somehow that’s supposed to mean something?” These pictures are definitely not the type to tell you a thousand words.
“It’s an ancient language.” Alhaitham could really take no joke.
“Obviously. I’m asking more about how you are able to derive a meaning from something that looks so meaningless.” Kaveh’s irritated tone fail to bother Alhaitham.
“Are you that interested?” Alhaitham asks.
“No, not at all.” Smugly answering his junior’s question like how a cold professor would to their one of their own students.
“Then don’t inquire. Be silent, so I can properly translate it and you can answer for the last time. We’ll be on our way out shortly after.” Alhaitham kept on deciphering the ancient language.
“Huh, ‘you’?” Kaveh smirked at Alhaitham.
Whether he noticed it or not, Kaveh could feel something akin to feeling good deep down inside him. In Kaveh’s eyes, his conceited junior just passively admitted that he is the only one capable of doing ALL of the work. Great success!
As they remain in their kneeling position, with Alhaitham working as their archaeological translator while muttering different words, Kaveh can’t help but reminisce as they head towards the end of the day. In such a dangerous place, there’s a weird but cozy feeling invisibly filling the air of the chamber as they both stay in silence. This is further reinforced by the wideness of the place, for it allows for natural light to settle in the place. Small, infrequent patches of darkness decorating select areas of the chamber, setting a calm mood as if they were in a bedroom.
...
...
...
“On a more personal note, I was at the very least, entertained today.” Kaveh was the first to speak with sincerity leaking from his words, reading the air correctly by ceasing his bickering.
Alhaitham gave no reaction. He didn’t even flinch.
“Even with how much I loathe you, it’s unusual for me to do something this interesting that excites my dull and regretful time with you.” It’s a double-edged sword after all, since he’ll always be that common factor in his life: He lives with him under the same roof.
That’s annoying as heck.
Alhaitham remained unfazed against Kaveh’s snarky comments.
“I suppose what I’m trying to say is that…I appreciate what happened today.” Those were the perfect words that Kaveh could think of. Being thankful for the adventure without having to be thankful of doing it with Alhaitham.
“Maybe you should think of how to pay your rent and your debt.” Alhaitham commented out of nowhere, catching Kaveh off guard. His neutral voice suggested that he didn’t intend to insult him, rather, just ‘trying’ to be factual and helpful.
-
Kaveh’s eyes widened. His debt?
Ouch.
That was his weakest spot. Of course, the debt. The debt that he accumulated after constructing one of his architectural projects. The one that he considers his own masterpiece: A palace, one that sits on a valley in-between two cliffs. In such a challenging environment, it was a miracle that Kaveh could make such a building into a reality, and to do it prettily and cleverly as well.
He wouldn’t have a problem going into the details, logistics, and circumstances that had to go right in order to do it if it wasn’t for the deep hole he dug himself into when he forgot to remember how much financing he would need to undergo such a project. He only realized the fatal mistake in the middle of construction.
For a desperate architect in such a desperate situation, it wouldn’t take long until someone offered to loan him an amount of money that even if a million Kavehs were to live right now, they still wouldn’t be enough to pay all of it within their entire lifetimes. But he had no choice, either that or he ends up with an ugly, unfinished project that will just taint the floral beauty of the landscape.
It’s no question as to what he decided.
Since he decided to pay for…whatever amount of time it takes. It would make sense that he lives under his roof that he created, right? Nope! The person that he loaned from, which became the owner of the palace BY THE WAY, didn’t let him so.
He would’ve been a vagabond had he not heeded her advice: To contact a certain scholar from the Academy that he studied under and taught in. He was naïve at that time, thinking that this person would be sympathetic enough to understand his situation, as stupid as it might sound.
He was wrong.
-
“I’ve figured out what this text meant.” A firm, serious voice snapped Kaveh back into reality from his own little mental flashback.
Both Kaveh and Alhaitham stood up.
“What did it say?” Kaveh immediately switched his attention to the present matter, erasing any memory of the previous moment.
“It’s a four-line riddle, unlike the previous simpler ones. Seeing an empty space here and the stone tablets littered around us, I’m assuming that we just need to slot in the one with the right answer on it.” Alhaitham looks to the small, rectangular objects with various symbols on each of them.
“I see. What is the riddle?” Kaveh asks, preparing his mind for the final, upcoming task. Ready to demonstrate the reason why he and his class is famed for.
Alhaitham stares at the epitaph, reading it symbol by symbol.
“The breathing walls emanate a warm breeze of comfort, gusting past the naked bleeding soul. Eternal healing by the imperfect being. In each word lie each of the good.” Alhaitham started to talk like a 16th century English poet yet he lacks the tone of one.
Huh.
Kaveh tried to giggle but interrupted himself.
“Are you sure that’s what it says? You’re not trying to fool me or any of the sort, right?” Kaveh clarifies, in tiny disbelief of what he just had heard.
“Yes, I’m confident. That’s the most accurate that I could translate it in terms of grammar.” Alhaitham confidently answers. Knowing him for a long time, he’s not the type of person that will purposely make a mistake.
Kaveh started thinking.
“Hmm…’breathing walls’…” Kaveh muttered in the middle of his thought.
Compared to the ones he had answered before, this one was more philosophical as it is pretentious. In truth, Kaveh found it a little cheesy. Naked bleeding soul? This looks like one of those set of words that a young adolescent would come up with. Or one that you would see in a pop song. It’s a bit silly, really.
But this is the lock to the treasure. He needs to take this seriously.
“Okay, before I come up with any ideas. Can you examine and translate what’s written on the stone tablets? We need to limit our choices to avoid barking up the wrong tree?” Kaveh gestures to the tablets on the floor, prompting a nod from Alhaitham.
=
Alhaitham picks up the one from on the tombstone’s right.
“This one translates to ‘World’.”
Next, he picks up the one on their north.
“This one says ‘Conscience’.”
He then turns to pick up the tablet from the left side.
“’Emotion’ is what’s written in this one.”
He goes to pick the fourth one behind them.
“This is ‘Connection’.”
Kaveh noticed another tablet covered in sand under his feet, picking it up.
“This is probably the last one. Here, translate it.” Kaveh threw the tablet into Alhaitham’s hands.
“Alright. Your tablet says ‘Person’.”
=
They collected all of the stone tablets and put it beside the empty slot. With their options clearly defined, Kaveh puts one of his hands under his chin. His junior joining him in his pondering.
“Do you see any connections, Kaveh?” Alhaitham curiously asks, always finding himself in this position whenever he lets Kaveh work his wit, which deep down, he finds impressive. He won’t admit that to him though.
"Not yet.” His senior answered.
“At first glance, with how the riddle is worded out, it seems to be referring to something that’s not a physical object. Seeing most of what our tablets say, my assumptions are correct.” Kaveh started to sound like a professor: Logical, methodical, and formal. It is very unlike him to be in this guise outside of his academic bubble.
“Agreed, the last sentence would also confirm that. The ‘world’ is one outlier though, there must be some reason why they put it there.” Alhaitham voiced out his sound concern.
“If we take this literally, then ‘world’ would make sense. After all, most, if not everyone, shares the thought that the world is innocent. It’s just a natural being, reacting to changes incurred by us. And the rest, the breeze, gust, and healing...That is, if we don’t consider figures of speech. Can you repeat the riddle again?” Kaveh wants to make sure he doesn’t get the wrong ideas.
“Alright, I’ll read again: The breathing walls emanate a warm breeze of comfort, gusting past the naked bleeding soul. Eternal healing by the imperfect being. In each word lie each of the good.” The language-knowledgeable scribe reiterated, easily translating the symbols.
“I think we’re going in the right direction.” Little by little, Kaveh’s growing confident.
We?
“What are you thinking?” Alhaitham asks curiously.
“Read it again. ‘Breathing walls’, ‘naked bleeding soul’, and ‘imperfect being’, right?” Kaveh asks, looking at Alhaitham with growing inquisitive by each question asked.
“Yes, those are the correct translations. But what is a breathing wall? Such things don’t exist. And imperfect being? Everything can become perfect when they’re at the right place and at the right time.” Alhaitham was then met by a facepalming Kaveh, who seemed to be disappointed at his attempt at puzzle analysis.
“No, you’ve misconstrued the riddle.” An unimpressed look was evident in Kaveh’s face.
Oh.
“These are personifications. Naked bleeding soul for when we are hurt or feel exposed. And as much as I respect your position about perfection, it is just objectively wrong. No one can ever truly become perfect; not even you and not even me. We are flawed beings, imperfect beings.” Kaveh explained in a convincing tone.
“I see. Whatever that satisfies the riddle.” Alhaitham answered without showing any kind of disagreement and just wanting to get the job done.
“Although, I find myself wondering what it meant about ‘breathing walls’. It’s obvious to me that they’re referring to us humans, but why use the noun? Why didn’t they use anything else? Why use ‘walls’?” Kaveh wondered.
“It’s irrelevant. The majority of these statements refer to a person, so it must be that.” Alhaitham stated, grabbing the tablet with the matching set of symbols onto it.
Kaveh just sighed.
“No, you don’t understand. Yes, they do personify, but you need to look into the bigger picture. Why do those breathing walls emanate a warm breeze of comfort? Why does the imperfect being heal eternally? And of course, the meaning of that last statement, which we’re yet to figure out.” He analyzes each line of the riddle, looking for the purpose of each sentence. He gestured to Alhaitham to drop the tablet and think again.
“I might’ve overlooked these details, but from these descriptions, I think they’re just perceptions rather than truths.” Assuredly said in true Alhaitham fashion.
Alhaitham’s input got Kaveh thinking.
“Hmm…you’re not completely wrong. I would also like to think that these are perceptions, but we require knowledge of whose perspective this riddle is in. Additionally, we need to account who they are referring to. Not all personifications refer to a person. Sometimes, in riddles, some answers are just too good to be true.” Kaveh is in his element, always considering each angle of those who had created such word-based puzzles.
“I understand. You are correct. We also take such approaches in the scientific method, albeit more inflexible than and not as intuitive as what you’re currently doing.”
In a rare moment in time where opportunity allows them so, the great rivals exhibited great teamwork. No squabbling, just engaging in respectful discourse, aided by each other’s strengths.
Kaveh stares at the tombstone, wanting to be able to understand it himself.
“I don’t think it’s ‘conscience’ since the focus is less about doing what’s right. And I also don’t think that ‘emotion’ is the answer because if that’s the case, then this riddle would only be talking about feeling sad or hurt, which is too shortsighted.” Kaveh started to eliminate choices that would not answer the entirety of the riddle.
“That leaves us with…’connection’ then.” Alhaitham grabbed the corresponding stone tablet.
“It would make sense. It’s an unassuming, neutral, but fitting answer.” Kaveh thought more about it, and the more he did, the closer he got to in solving the riddle.
“These adjectives could only be possible when two or more people are being referred to. An island of a man cannot survive on his own nor heal himself. They would require someone’s assistance.”
Kaveh instantly remembers his own experiences as soon as those words left his mouth.
“You need to connect. Find out about each other. Establish and maintain that relationship between each other for beneficence! If one is hurt, then the other can only heal them, deliver that ‘warm breeze of comfort’ as the riddle says, to them!”
He feels that he’s drawing close to a Eureka! moment.
“That’s what being acquainted means. That’s what friendships and romances are for. Become that breathing wall, be there for when you need one another, and beyond that! The only thing that accounts.”
Kaveh noticed himself becoming caught up in the emotions as his memories return that contrasted his words.
“I get that this ‘connection’ would be the right answer then?” Alhaitham asks in a blank tone.
Kaveh’s breathing started to hitch.
Seeing who’s in front of him, he slowly soothed himself to not let an Alhaitham that’s barren of any emotion witness such sentiments coming from him. He knows when to get emotional, and it would be just improper to do it in front of someone that won’t even get close to understanding his feelings.
He exhaled.
“Yes, Alhaitham. The answer to the riddle is ‘connection’.” Kaveh confidently answered.
“You are sure about this, yes? I don’t think we’ll be allowed for a second chance, remember what happened at the last chamber? I don’t fancy having to run for my life again.” Alhaitham put the stone tablet atop the empty slot, ready to put it in.
-
Ah, yes. How could he forget the reason why they were in that dark hallway in the first place?
So many wrong attempts responsible for just one big rolling boulder.
They never ran that fast before in their lives, until that moment.
But his statement of clarification made Kaveh reconsider. Did they answer it in the correct angle? Is there any part of it that doesn’t match up well with the proposed answer? Risky it is to let even a minute detail slip: This is the final riddle that will open the door to the treasure if it were answered correctly. Otherwise, they could be entranced into another marathon again, or worse.
This riddle and this answer, everything seemed to connect and make sense. What could it be other than ‘connection’? Using the process of elimination: One requires a thoughtless mind, the other is just too obvious of an answer, and the rest matches up with one of the lines but fails to satisfy the general equation. ‘Connection’ is the correct answer, even from an objective standpoint.
Well, not everything made sense. There was one that sticks out like a sore thumb.
“I’m sure about it…for the most part. I just can’t seem to find how that answer relates to a breathing wall.” Kaveh admitted, making it apparent that he wants to find an appropriate answer.
“I suppose in such pretentious riddles, some pretentious words are just there for the sake of…being pretentious.” Alhaitham smirked. He is a master at that game and he recognizes when something is being too pompous for the sake of appearing impressive.
“I guess so.” Kaveh answered as he watched Alhaitham struggle in slotting the tablet inside.
At that moment, he just kept repeating the two words over and over again under his breaths
...
...
...
“Breathing walls…breathing walls…breathing walls…”
At that point in deep redundancy, he managed to visualize a mental image.
It was himself, drawing up a blueprint inside a familiar place: A bedroom that was not his, that belonged to someone else. And behind him, was the owner.
But why?
He remembered what he said previously.
“Become that breathing wall. Be there for—for each other.” Silently murmuring to himself.
He comes into a realization, conjuring a meaning for that two peculiar words.
“Hey, I’d just thought, that ‘connection’ might not be the right answer.” Kaveh told his junior.
Alhaitham stopped himself.
“I didn’t realize how important it was, until now.” Kaveh spoke as he continues to think, trying to come up with a coherent explanation to what would be a confused Alhaitham.
“What are you saying?” Alhaitham tilted his head towards Kaveh.
“The ‘breathing wall’ part. It was important after all. Yes, we’re indeed correct that a physical object is not the answer. But I posit that our answer is not only an idea that we can show, but an idea that we can show AND see with our own eyes!” Kaveh talked faster as he goes on, unclear if it’s excitement or nervousness that he’s showing.
“I fail to understand what you’re trying to imply.” Alhaitham tried to dismiss Kaveh’s second thoughts, but the blonde wouldn’t allow that.
“It’s…the answer should be a shelter.”
-
What?
He left Alhaitham dumbfounded.
“A shelter. Someone’s shelter. I’m not referring to the physical structure, but something special that one can become towards the right person.” Kaveh clarified the difference.
“Being a…home towards people? What are you trying to say here?” Alhaitham asks, still just as confused.
“Think of it as a special status. It’s not an explicit thing. When you refer someone as ‘your home’, it means that they make you feel secured and safe.” Kaveh explained briefly.
But Alhaitham only returned silence. Kaveh sighed.
“You have your own house right? Admit it or not, there is no place just like that one. What do you feel returning to your place after a long and tiring day? You’d just want to rest, and the best place to do that is in your home. It brings you the best resting experience you won’t ever have someplace else.” Kaveh was desperate for Alhaitham to understand. He needs him to be on the same page here, or else, he would think that his senior has become irrational.
“I…I don’t know how to answer that one.” Alhaitham can only stay confused.
“Attempt to apply it in the context of human beings. We are imperfect creatures, flawed in any way we allow it to be possible. Even though that’s the case, someday, someone will accept us to the point that they will find us irreplaceable because we could make them feel positive emotions that no other people can. That particular way they view us, is how we become, a shelter, to people.”
Kaveh let his optimism spill unknowingly, contrary to the same person that would carefully think of each word when it comes to explaining what should’ve been a simple concept had it been any other people that was with him.
“Look, even if I did understand the foolishness you are uttering, which I won’t, there exists no tablet in this place that has home, house, or whatever otherworldly concept you’re referring to, that is written in any of them.” Alhaitham shook his head.
Kaveh just winced at him.
At this point, any further explanations would be useless. Even if he had enough patience to explain it to him, Alhaitham would just be more and more resistant to idea, and more annoying to deal with. That kind of concept was just too foreign for his companion.
How could it be possible for them to endure each other forever?
Without warning, Kaveh quickly grabbed one of the tablets, almost as if he perfectly remembered the symbols on it, and slotted it inside the empty space.
-
The surface below the tombstone opened up revealing the climax of their adventure: The treasure that shined its rays towards and beyond the walls of the ceiling.
Alhaitham, taken aback by Kaveh’s swift decisiveness, still managed to realize what the situation entails, and snatched away the treasure from its place.
The ground began to shake.

Little accessibility rant 8
Just saw a news article calling dark mode on devices a trend and mother fuckers I dunno how to explain to you that a lot of humans have been breaking the internet for decades because black text on a white bg is pure god damn agony. And if you're going to force your shitty app or your dumb email to break my phone's dark mode settings so it can look nice, bitch I am going to absolutely fuck you with forced custom app rules in the accessibility settings. 8) Now your shit looks like total ass and it's nobody's fault but your own. 8D
Btw if you too want to fuck up a company's hard work so you don't projectile vomit all over your screen, on iOS go to settings - accessibility - per app settings, then plug in any app that's trying to get around dark mode and go into that app and turn on "smart invert". It will mostly leave images alone but everything else it will flip color schemes on. No more eye gouging white bg emails now ahahaha! I'm not sure how this works on Android but I think it's also doable with those devices. To do it on your laptop/pc it just depends on your browser and installing a good dark reader extension.
