Reading Ted Newsome and John Brancato's Spiderman script

1.So we start with an artsy shot of a spider web before showing our antagonist Doc Ock working on the Cyclotron (Im assuming this is the The Mcguffin ).I like the intro to Ock,working with a tenticaled doodad,while taking a drag of a cigarette and eating a chili dog.I also like the depiction of him as a brooding broadly built guy with long hair ,a bit unkempt with stains on his shirt due to being focused on his work

2.So we are introduced to Ocks colleagues,and OC's for the film Thorkle (Tall thin guy wearing glasses in his 40's) and Rossomoff (Who despite being 75 is very spry).The writers were Hammer fans so wrote these roles with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee respectfully in mind ....Which I see it ,but Lee was younger then Cushing but whatever,maybe makeup

3.So Bob Hoskins was the main choice for Doc Ock .....And I kind of love the idea of this super genius having Hoskins signature Cockney accent

4.Also Rossomoff admits he doesnt like Thorkle to Ock,RIGHT IN FRONT OF THORKLE .DAaaaaaaaaaaamn what did Thorkle do to get disdain from both Ock and Rossomoff ???

5.Huh Peter is a collage student here instead of Highschool.Neat

6."Curtis Connors Science center " Cute

7.So Harry Osborne here is an awkward weird friend in a heavy metal T Shirt......So he is basically Evil Ed from Fright Night

8.Liz Allen is reading Jane Austin ....Dont know what else to say but she is

17.Uncle Ben seems nice ,not the brightest guy but clearly cares for Peter but isnt sure how fatherly to be

18.So Doc Ock is forced to quit an experiment but does it secretly anyway causing an explosion....huh....Why do I feel Spider-Man 2002,Spider-Man 2 and Into the Spiderverse took elements from this movie

19.I like that the accident that makes Otto Doctor Octopus also mutates the Spider that bites Peter

20.Love the pure joy Peter has at finding his powers

I will always stan thorklings, the more the better

Loki who just... Can't help but over think everything. Even now, when he's due to give birth to his and Thor's child any day now. What if he's not good enough? Not a good parent? He doesn't think he's a good person, so how could he look after a small, defenseless child? What if their child likes Thor more? Then he'll just be cast aside once again, left the unfavored one, and Loki didn't think he could bare seeing Thor alone with their kid just out of pure jealousy. What if the little godling grows to resent Loki? Resent him because they were bound to be part Jotun, and learn the history of them with Asgard? There were just so many little things Loki thought could go so wrong, and Thor would leave him and bring their kid along with him.

But when they were born, all of Loki's fears and feelings of inadequacy disappeared. His little godling was the light of his life now, paving a new future for him. As expected, his baby was part Jotun, and Loki swore to never keep it a secret from them like it was to him, and teach them to accept their differences and love themself, when Loki was always so cast out from his. He would give his child a future they could be happy in. And when he saw Thor holding them for the first time, his heart just melted at the beautiful sight, his husband cooing at the little one, and he knew it was all going to be okay. If he ever struggled, he knew Thor would be there to help guide him along and be the best he can.

I would love to hear your oc headcanons for thorklings 😳 What are they like? Will they take more after Thor or Loki? Will they have their jotunn markings? Will one of them turn into a wolf and eat the other?

Another Anon Ask: What is an ideal Thorkling supposed to look like? Assuming it is male. Will it have Thor’s blonde hair or Loki’s dark locks? Will it have Thor’s eyes or Loki’s? Please tell me!!! 

Ah, thorklings!

In my opinion, it’s a genetic roulette wheel when it comes to Thor and Loki’s babies. Anything is possible. I may pick a more jötunn child if it’s a story where I’m really trying to underline Loki’s heritage—kind of like what I’m doing in In Side Out, which is basically a great big “Loki coming to terms with being a frost giant” fic (and having lots of sex with Thor ofc). 

For a human AU I’d naturally go with the standard human baby stuff. Perhaps the thorkling will take after one parent more than the other—Thor’s blond hair and build with Loki’s cunning, mischievous personality, or Loki’s dark hair and slim frame with Thor’s affable, laughable nature. Or maybe (more realistically) their traits are equally matched and we end up with a thorkling who has brown hair and teal eyes, a tall-medium build, and is very astute yet easygoing. 

Perhaps Thor has a red-headed gene and the kid ends up with flaming ginger hair. Or—and here we’re going back to canon again—maybe Loki’s jötunn genes are really strong and he and Thor have a baby with blue skin and blue eyes and everything is blue da ba dee da ba dah. Maybe it’s even a giant kid! Hey, it’s possible.

It’s fun, this mix-and-match. Did you ever do Punnett Squares in school? That was the highlight of freshman year biology for me. I would draw them for fun, typically with a flair of fantasy to them. Kitsune and werewolves and all that.

Speaking of which, I think it’d be hilarious and very appropriate if, out of Thor and Loki’s mostly-humanoid children, the odd monster popped up. Maybe something to do with Loki’s shapeshifting shenanigans mutating his eggs so that the family portrait hanging over the fireplace is of two proud parents and their three kids, one of whom happens to be a giant wolf. Or maybe the opposite: all of the thorklings are monsters except for one completely normal kid who is considered the “odd one” of the family but is nonetheless loved, just as the monster kids are.

You know... these asks have given me a really cute idea involving my very humble art skills and my even humbler Javascript skills, so stay tuned, I’ll probably have a surprise for all my followers and guests in a week or so!

Ah thank you, anon, I’m so glad to hear you like that AU! I don’t have anything new to report just yet, but I’m hoping to update the adventures of sea snake sorcerer Loki and merman Thor and their seven little merbeebs this coming mermay!
