So if Black stans believe Mushroom’s fighting rings then they have to accept the Brothel Queens as canon also.

Ryan Condal and Sarah Hess exaggerated the worst of Aegon whilst watering down Jace and Luke. Aegon was unfaithful to Helaena? Jace cheats on Baela. Aegon is RUMOURED to have child fighting rings, we know Luke cut Aemond’s eye out.

I think people often literally forget that Fire and Blood is based entirely on the words of unreliable narrators. Oh right I remembered the thing I wanted to complain about. When ppl use the words “less” “more” “at least” “just/only” etc and ppl get offended bc they interpret it as meaning that whatever they’re talking about is being diminished, minimized, made as “lesser”, as meaning lesser, counting lesser, worth lesser than the alternative; when not necessarily at all that’s not what that means aaarghrgggh

Like just bc A+B together are more than either one individually and therefore when I’m talking about just A I’ll use a word like “just” doesn’t mean I think A is worth less than B or than A+B 😭😭😭 so annoying.

Ex. “We’re just friends” to mean “we’re not romantically involved” is not inherently arophobic urgh. Yes being friends but not lovers is less than being both friends and lovers (bc being lovers implies you’re also friends). Not less “important” or “meaningful” or “valid”, not as in any appraisal of moral value, less in a purely mathematical sense, in the way that A is not as much as A+B. The purpose of “just” isn’t to minimize platonic relationships it’s to exclude a potential additional romantic one. To say “only” this, not that.

Person A: oh you’re eating a burger? Is there salad in it?
