I tend to think that we here in fandom land maybe for the sake of fun and inescapable exaggeration as we do when we play with our characters, maybe do lean into this Will characterization ramped up but his canon version isn't quite doing alllll this? I think it's not a jump to get there, though.

My take is - you mean a cutesy style of flirting, like a shy flirting, but shy and alluring on purpose? I think Will in the beginning would just be genuinely shy and unsure in his flirting, but he's comfortable with Mike, and he lets his guard down around Mike. Will, who actually is soft and sensitive but gets treated like it's a bad thing, except for Mike, who doesn't treat him like that but also allows Will to be soft and sensitive as a positive. Hence, "everyone babies me" well Mike's also very protective - and it's different. Yes, for one, because the way Mike goes about it is different but two - Will liiiiiiikes Mike, Will's gonna make an exception.

So I think all of that - his maybe unintentional flirting could maybe come off this way - but it's genuine! Like the "I didn't say it" line which is soooooo hmm. Boy. "Looks like it's up to us again" "It always is isn't it?" GENTLEMEN, PLEASE! But I don't think Will planned it all to be that flirty/teasing on purpose which is the difference. I think that was totally natural. In that moment, Mike did something that made Will let his guard down again, and his nature popped off. Not deliberate, that's just how it was always going to happen for him.

I see it starting that way once they're mutually flirting, Will is going to be so unassumingly dangerous for Mike 🤭 <- that emoji says it all for example, the cute laughter behind a hand. All of Will's cute little traits are gonna just expand because he's happy and in love and comfortable with Mike. Using those big doe eyes as a strength, that little smile with his bunny teeth poking out biting his lip, him standing close and looking up in awe at Mike, the way he blushes, the way he carries his body and the sway in his step and the way he so enticingly leans into Mike's personal space - but that's just how Will is! Their teasing style of bickering. I can see it. I can see him not knowing he's doing what he's doing but down the line once he learns the power behind it all.... danger, flipped. Oh, once he knows. 1. She loves hiking, digital art, graffiti, and making music! She has a tablet in her drawstring bag that she often draws/animates on and it has one of those beat making apps that she uses ALL the time. Ah, and she loves Origami (she learned from the foot clan)! She tends to make little Paper cranes and write little messages in them. Said cranes will be EVERYWHERE. On Donnie’s tech telling him to hydrate or something, on the leftover pizza box claiming the last piece, in Leo’s room notifying him that she stole his left overs, etc. (and sometimes theyre just for fun and don’t have messages written in them)

2. (Love this question SO MUCH) when she is standing for awhile she’ll start raising herself up on her tippy toes then back down (kind of like a little bounce that doesn’t leave the ground) and when she’s sitting she often finds herself practicing wrist/hand exercises (half the time she won’t even realize she’s doing it). Oh and when she’s sitting and listening to music she’ll tap her fingers as if she were making the beat in one of her apps (imagine clicking arrow keys on a computer to the beat of a song that’s basically what she does [heheh I used to this all the time])

3. Hmmm I’m not sure yet? Probably a mix of darks and pastels. Also not sure on the favorite color yet! I’ll make a r colored ref hopefully son tho :D

Mikey:

ART. They both have a passion for art, and while Mikey is more of a traditional artist, the both of them end up drawing together all the time. I imagine since both of them are the shorties of the family they climb up on each others shoulders to graffiti places in the sewer they can’t reach ^-^ (also they’re both the youngest siblings, they want independence, and they don’t like being babied <- all of these things come about for Peni after realizes she’s their sister and they start treating her like the youngest)

Leo:

They bonded over cooking …and by that, I mean Leo’s lack of skills and Peni’s bizarre recipes! Peni’s favorite food EVER is gummy worms, so naturally, once she heard of a Panini she switched out the meats with tons of gummy worms and cooked it. Leo walked in on this moment of genius and was HORRIFIED. He ragged on her about what a disgrace of food that was and she would fire back talking about how Leo can’t even make a SANDWICH without something burning. It sort of became a running joke with the two of them that resulted in Leo nicknaming her “Nini” (oh and in case your wondering, Peni LOVED the gummy worm panini, and Leo tried it and was surprised it wasn’t that bad, but he would NEVER admit that)

Donnie:

They bonded over tech and music! Peni didn’t know a whole lot about it but she was the second most tech involved person in the family so it worked out great any way. It’s a similar dynamic of smarts and crafts except Peni has more technical knowledge than Mikey. Peni will occasionally hang around the lab and check in on what Donnie’s working on, give some ideas, have an awesome idea for a new project, etc. and she also is Donnie’s go to person when he needs blue prints drawn! Oh! New idea! Perhaps Donnie builds her a piece of Holo-tech (like his little holographic screens) that serves as a literal 3D art program! Of course, she also uses it to make even BETTER blueprints for Donnie. And her and Donnie both really like electronic music, and Donnie likes listening to the beats that Peni makes :D

Bonus idea! I think it would take a while for Peni to even have a chance to connect with Donnie. After the invasion, Donnie would spend a lot of time in the med bay, but he mainly stayed in his lab after that. And after everything that happened, Donnie was just not open to talking to this complete stranger that broke into his home :/

Raph:

I think during the invasion Raph would be the one Peni talks to the most (since Raph was the least injured), so they sort of just naturally became close. Peni has someeee medical knowledge but not enough to help with the more serious injuries of the others; she would let Casey jr. take care of those major injuries while she took care of the more minor things. Raph was extremely worried about his brothers and was completely lost in the medical field so Peni would also help explain how they were being treated and what was wrong (I imagine Casey would be pretty blunt abt it which would not help Raph haha). Oh! PLUSHIES. As we all know Raph LOVES plushies (I’ve seen some stuff that’s canon abt it but I definitely headcanon a corner of hid room is filled to the BRIM with them), but lil ol Peni, having lived on the streets her whole life, never owned any (tragic, I know). When Peni first saw Raph’s mounta8n if plushies she grabbed one shoved it in Raph’s face and demanded to know its name IMMEDIATELY. From that day on she loved plushies and started gathering them for her own room (though she never got nearly as many as Raph)!

Their relationship, of 2 guys who have the same best friend but have never met, is SO GOOD. SORA & ARIN. I can't lie - REALLY wasn't expecting Sora to go with Arin & Ras. BUT! It's probably bc I honestly didn't expect Arin to go back to Ras. I wasn't expecting him to go with the Ninja, no way in hell he does NOT feel comfy with them at the moment still & he's still mad at Wu, but I REALLY thought he'd go his own way bc he is just SO FED UP with Ras. Plasma Grunt sent out a Patrat against Bentley and you can just tell that Bentley has a chip on his shoulder over the Gym battle because hes raring to go. Patrat starts with bide after Bentley wraps him up, after that I had Bentley use growth while Patrat stored energy. Next round Patrat releases the energy and Bentley hit him with vine whip. That combined with wrap gets the little rat int he red. Patrat manages to forestall hi defeat with detect but one return later and its over.

After defeating the Patrat Bentley learns Leaf Tornado.

The Plasma grunt and his buddies have enough sense to run off before we can really get going and run for their lives.

You're so so so so right. This song is soooooo Jay, poor guy. Poor lil freak. Poor lil freak stalker. Idk how to put it into words either, but this song just feels like Jay, kinda off kilter, the gait of his emotional reactions is just kinda off. Idk maybe uncanny is the word? I feel kinda like the way Jay is with Alex almost falls into the uncanny valley but if there was an uncanny valley for emotions? (Can you tell I don't understand the uncanny valley effect? I only feel it for dogs 💀)

The song feels like that too, kinda creepy and dark and just Off a bit, y'know? I feel like that's Jay. A lot of that's probably just general mental illness stuff, cos that seems to make people fall into the uncanny for people? But just, yeah, idk 👍

But like, yeah idk, he's not evil, he can get better, he does TRY to get better once he's been away from Alex for a few years, once he's with Tim. But he does need therapy, and he's all resistant to that.

Like I love calling him and Alex toxic and shitty and stuff, and like, they are. They're just two of those people who just need to stay away from each other, who can only make each other worse. And then they decide, yeah let's be best friends since like, primary school. Because they were both weird and freaky and no one else liked them, so of course they gravitated to each other, and of course because everyone else hated them, they grew to love each other almost obsessively to make up for that.

And like, obviously the operator is involved and it's making it all worse, so chuck that out of the equation for a moment. When Jay and Alex are with other people, they do get better. Alex has like three great years with Amy where he learns to get over his internalised homophobia and how a relationship can have proper communication etc. And when Jay's with Tim he starts to learn that he can't rely on manipulating situations to get what he wants, he slowly stops feeling so hung up over his relationship with Alex (this poor man does NOT know how to let go of things 💀)

Jay and Alex are just not good for each other, and thats fine, sometimes that just happens.

Sorry anyway idk where that lil rant came from. Probably cos I've been If It Ain't Broken brained for a while and I miss the fluff and slow getting better that I was writing with the last chapters of "Sorry, It's Locked". They're my babies and I can't wait to write their first time, before they got super toxic together and all that.

Also can't wait to write the aftercare part of If It Ain't Broken chapter 4. I just need to write fluffy. I need those two specifically to have some fluffy and healthy stuff together, because so far I'm reeeeeaaaally painting them as shitty shitty shitty, and they weren't always like that, like, not even most of the time. Like my intention with them is that most of the time they're literally just fine, a lil tense maybe, but not as god awful shitty as theyre being in their worst times, aka the times you see in If It Ain't Broken.

i just think like. so joseph is a more "classic" example of adhd but i think kakyoin has it too (i think if he got diagnosed at the time though he'd get "add" cause he's not "hyper") and i think they both Sense this. they see each other. i think they can converse with each other really well, both their thoughts are running at similar rates and its easy for them to jump along and follow and also one doesnt take offense when the other interrupts with a sudden burst of thoughts cause yknow. they get it.

i think theyre both so deep in the forgetting things/losing things hole they rely on each other soooooo much for that. kakyoin searching with hierophant for joseph's hat. joseph using hermit purple to figure out where kakyoin left his earrings. jsut like. yeah. idk they bond!!! i think they bond. and also they help each other remember things like when kakyoin's reading the map while joseph drives he does it one direction at a time he doesnt just read off what to do for the next five miles he's like actively correlating and yeah. just yeah. oh kakyoi helping joseph with his executive dysfunction oooooo yes baby.

related to the forgetting thing but i think they also help each other with the inability to form habits. kakyoin when he rooms with joseph is like "mr joestar you need to brush your teeth" "i did that this morning" "you need to do it again it's good dental hygiene" "ughhhh" but yeah. and vice versa i think joseph reminds kakyoin to look in the mirrors and stuff while driving. i think kakyoin was really annoyed with this at first but as he and joseph get friendlier he accepts it and understands it's coming from a place of friendship and honestly more for reminding himself than for kakyoin. OH SPEAKING OF they both feel very comfortable murmuring instructions again out loud to each other while they do things. like kakyoin murmuring his hair routine or joseph audibly running through what he packed to make sure he has everything before they leave a place. just yeah

anyway yeah i agree joseph and kakyoin is a very underrated friendship i wish there was more content about them...he definitely saw kakyoin as family and i think kakyoin reciprocated that. sniffles.
