What horror trope are you?
AUs and some other folks under the cut.
Phoenix, Sparrow, Sierra:
the monster
it was not your fault– at first, at least. you can not help being the way you are. and even if you could, would you choose to change? they met you with torches raised and screaming mouths, the only choice you had was to flee. but you will not stay away forever. they whisper your name in fear, and you will make sure you hurt them just as much as they hurt you.
The Commander, Mira (both aus):
the sacrifice
a knife to your back is your first memory– it will also be your last. you cannot help but let things into your heart, such is your nature. time and time again, however, they hurt you and leave you to rot. but your heart remains open, and you continue to let more in. is it kindness, at that point, or is it sacrifice?
Sommer, Wolf:
the ghost
death is not the end for everyone. it certainly was not the end for you. something within you tethers you here, like a heavy chain, and keeps you from well-deserved rest. love, rage, hunger, fear– do you even remember what it was? you wander here, awake, and your body lies below, asleep. maybe someone will find your disturbed grave and grant you a proper ending.
Dead Fae Walking:
the lover
love has brought you to this place, and it will not let you leave. fear clutches you, constricts you, and it will have you killed– and yet, it is still no match for the bounty of your heart. you will try as hard as you can to protect the object of your affections. evil is nothing in the face of your warmth. even if you are successful in protecting your lover, that does not guarantee your own survival. your heart has doomed you, but what greater death is there than dying for love?
Voitto:
the haunted house
decrepit and falling apart at the seams; time has not been kind to you, has it? termites have nestled in your bones, and stray cats find comfort in your sinews. you may be victim to time and erosion, but your abandoned corpse remains a refuge for unwanted things. vermin and ghosts thank you. what greater kindness can there be than offering shelter?
#PHOENIX: ashes and broken glass#MIRA: imperfect perfection#ROMEO: hold onto hope#SIERRA: no mercy for the damned#VOITTO: when will this blood on my hands be washed away?#PIXIE: the forgotten soldier#SOMMER: a heart frozen over#WOLF: I broke my chains; I'll break you too#THE COMMANDER: never again#SPARROW: it's all a bit tragic isn't it?#headcanons: jot this down#uquiz#OKAY YOU KNOW WHAT#THERE'S SOMETHING TO BE SAID ABOUT ALL OF THE 'BAD TIMELINES' GETTING THE MONSTER RESULT#IDK WHAT BUT THERE'S SOMETHING

DP x DC prompt #4:
(Insomnia struck again with those witching hour thoughts.)
We’ve seen Revenant!Jason. We’ve seen corpse AU. The rare Halfa!Jazz AU has been gifted to us.
But now, I present a result of a bad timeline-
Revenant!Jazz
According to Monster wiki Revenants are supposedly,
“the spirit of a deceased human being that has returned to the mortal plane as a visible ghost or a vengeful spirit that has possessed a dead body, likely its own body.”
Which if you’re a fan of Revenant!Jason can be aptly put. He does seem the vengeful sort.
However, the next paragraph is as follows,
“Revenants are said to return to the living realm to take revenge on those who wronged them in their previous life. In a typical myth, only wicked or evil people tend to turn into revenants. Rarely, however, there were cases where a particularly strong willed individual had died before fulfilling an important task or a promise and would return as a revenant to complete what was left unfinished.”
‘A particularly strong-willed individual’, you say?
=======
Jazz is killed trying to get Danny out of Amity Park, her little brother a sobbing bleeding mess on her backseat, her tiny car a contaminated mess of glowing green and dark red as Danny tries to keep his innards within. They are about to cross into Gotham, to lose their ghost hunting parents in the liminal city when something slams into the driver’s side of Jazz’s car.
Jazz has enough left in her to tell the blurry figure in black to save Danny before she gives into blood loss.
Official cause of death is a punctured artery in an unfortunate car accident.
Unofficial? Murder.
Jazz doesn’t become a ghost, no, she’s too angry and worried about Danny to let herself be taken to the Realms just yet. She won’t rest until Danny is safe. That’s all that matters-Danny.
It was fortunate that she hadn’t been cremated just yet, awakening in an unattended body bag.

‼️NIGHTBRINGER LESSON 46 SPOILERS‼️
masterlist | all lessons | season 3 | lesson 45.1 | lesson 45.2 | lesson 47
i'll probaboy be moving my baby sister into college when this queues up 🥲 sob sob
slight lesson 76 spoilers
we love to see more of a lighthearted lesson
ah yes, siblings 🫶🏽 levi is me, i am levi
i also love the fact that luci, mams, levi, and simeon are all working together to help mammon
it's clear how much they all adore him even if they're shitheads sometimes (read: most of the time)
anyone else having war flashbacks to cocytus? no? just me? kay.
see now they're just making up words bc what are we talking about 😭 also love how they didn't bother to make a 2D CG picture for it bc it's never gonna be mentioned in another lesson after this point
...i'd have to kms
imagine every step you take leads to a blood curdling scream...everybody's dying idc
"dear, sweet henry 1.0" my ASS
homeboy didn't even remember you when y'all were trapped in that made and had to get charmed by asmo 😭
...unless that was his way of telling levi to make new friends, just like the way he left levi in the anime bc levi had no friends outside of henry
but i also wanna see the full extent of mammon's power 🧍🏾 the devs need to stop giving us cut scenes every time my man steps up to fight a monster
that's hilarious actually
imagine some lower level demon actually ended up getting eaten bc they couldn't beat the monsters and the "research" was all in vain
leave it to me to read too far into things 🤞🏽
example x of mammon being lucifer's favorite and most trusted brother
regardless of how dumb mammon thinks a task is, he'll do his best to get it done as perfectly as possible if it means keeping up a good image for lucifer or making lucifer happy. lucifer knows this despite rarely, if ever, admitting it to himself, mammon, or anyone else, and that's why he trusts mammon with serious shit when the situation calls for it
granted, the speech mammon is giving probably wasn't orchestrated by lucifer, but the way it goes still reflects on him and diavolo, and mammon knows better than to make his big brother and the future demon king look bad in front of who knows how many people
MAMMON SIMPS HOW WE FEELING????
they absolutely would've fucked backstage if he wasn't up next for his speech /srs
they fucked in the back of class and they'd do it again BOP BOP
also mammon's speech being "get off your lazy asses and go touch grass" was easily the best idol about this lesson. 10/10 writing
about the first screenshot, why is nobody in-game verbally commenting on simeon wearing his angelic clothes ??? didn't he stop wearing them as soon as he fell from grace in the og timeline ?????
or maybe this is a result of too many time soup shenanigans. maybe his body can't tell if he's human or still an angel
but it's clear that everyone's noticed something's off with simeon even if they haven't said anything to him verbally, which is why luke was so hellbent on mc asking simeon if he was okay. but nobody's outright saying anything bc this mf will deny any and every concern thrown at him with a smile on his face. he won't even tell mc what's going on, so lucifer had to step in
ending the hard bonus chapter like this was VILE but in the best way possible

I feel like you missed the bit where Caliborn/Lord English/Doc Scratch controlled just about every detail of the Alpha timeline up until Game Over.
How the characters treated each other led to their classes and roles in the narrative, even to the point of who did and did not god tier.
Mindfang and Vriska are the way they are in direct relation to Doc Scratch. He in particular has an affinity for the Light players also screwing over Rose.
Spidermom does not lend herself particularly well to the task of raising well adjusted children. Not to mention that without Mindfang's actions, as reprehensible as they are, Vriska who has no other role models, wouldn't have killed Aradia who's death was essential for their success, wouldn't have bullied and abused Tavros who's death prompted Terezi to kill Vriska in turn.
Doc Scratch literally calls them suckers for all of this, something he had infinite timelines to perfect.
Further evidence is Vriska's ignoring and rejection of Kanaya's input. A character who literally symbolises maternity.
A lot of the problems within Homestuck are due to the literal universes being run by a toxically masculine father figure while nearly every maternal figure is killed or ignored. (Except Roxy, who bucks this trend.)
PM also noticeably diverts from this path. Her major influence is the White Queen. Both Queens are taken out extremely early, but PM's adherence to her queen's directives ultimately result in her victory. Roxy also just so happens to kill a queen in HIC.
Vriska after getting on better terms with Terezi and Kanaya and leaving behind her idolatry of Mindfang, the influence of Doc Scratch, and the abuse from her mother, is the character we see standing across from Lord English in the end.
Roxy making the Matriorb, Vriska's plan, Kanaya's discussion with Echidna (the mother of monsters) it's all extremely thematic to the reestablishment of a womanhood not subjugated by Caliborn's masculinity.
But isn't it also a reoccurring theme about fate and destiny that the characters either go along or reject? Can it not work for something like going against the ultimate big bad Lord English or Doc Scratch? John's Retcon powers was suppose to be this for Post Canon, but it's never used fully to its potential for things like saving Equius, Nepeta, and Tavros, pacifying Gamzee without using mind control, etc. You also forget that some of the people that were part of the doomed timeline had also gotten chances to improve as individuals. For example, Eridan was less of shithead somewhere, being friends with Feferi for real, and obtaining his Hope powers. But fate says it is not the right way. Eridan shouldn't be nice. He HAD to commit the horrible actions he did on the meteor to continue the timeline. So it's impossible to have Eridan improve even with John's retcon powers? Or why let some people be exceptions of what is the status quo for their aspects? Space players deal with loneliness. Kanaya is suffering from Rose's affair with Jade, Rose leaving Kanaya in the Meat Timeline, and Jade is suffering from her loneliness because Dave won't return her feelings in said both timelines. The only one not suffering is CALLIOPE, who is currently with Roxy in both Candy and Meat. Why is she special compared to others that would have go through what their aspects is destined to be? Even then, not all the things about the aspects is true. For example, Breath of Air is suppose to be about freedom. If it's that, then why do people still TELL JOHN WHAT TO DO when he can just actually make choices on his own. Not from the Readers, not from other characters in-universe, but his own being, as the story tries to claim that they are living people and living people don't have character arcs. It was also VRISKA'S CHOICE to wanting to be like Mindfang. It was HER choice to try and project herself and become something she may not be able to be as great as the figure. Nothing about Mindfang did say she had to sexually harass Tavros to make him like The Summoner. It was Vriska herself who think she can groom him to become his ancestor without his consent. Don't think it is Mindfang's fault for it because of Beyond Canon. How is also Vriska's rejection for Kanaya's feelings a symbol of maternity? Kanaya's ideal relationship with Vriska is that she's the bad girl and Kanaya would be the one to try and tame her ways. The whole I CAN FIX HER kind of shit. Vriska is just o8livious to Kanaya's feelings because she is so caught up in herself that she doesn't bother or care about how other people feel. Kanaya sawing off Tavros's lower torso is normal in Vriska's eyes because jadeblood is above bronzeblood. Vriska is used to violence done by trolls. So it's not like Vriska can call out Kanaya for hurting Tavros out of jealousy if she knew.
Also, how is it the father figures fault for toxic masculinity?! Dad Egbert was the sweetest guardian compared to everyone else. What he fuck did he do wrong when raising John? PUTTING A LETTER UNDER A SAFE THAT SAYS HE FINALLY BECAME A MAN AFTER LIFTING IT?!!! How the fuck is that bad? Equius' lusus, Aurthour, acts more like a servant for his son too. How is he abusive towards the blueblood when his son can bruise the guy even at the lightest pat? If anything, the problem lies more of the women who abuse their position and power. The Condesce is an example of this for Alternia and her alias as Betty Crocker. She wishes to be immortal to stay in her position. Mindfang was another in the sense that she had waited for The Summoner to grow up and have him gain his powers so she can use him for her own goals. Sure she loved him, but it's still fact that she had needed someone for her own benefits. Bitch had to wait for a troll to hatch and grow up legally for her to MATE. But nobody calls her out to be a pedophile. Then there's the Black Queen/Snowman and her treatment towards Jack Noir/Spades Slick. The Black King may be the figurehead and force upon his kingdom, but the true brains was the Queen herself. It's a running theme that the women are often portrayed to be strong, in power, or placed in such a high position while the men go through emotional arcs. But you forget that it wasn't Vriska who defeated Lord English. Bitch didn't even get to directly to fight him during Collide. She has to face ANDREW HUSSIE. It was Tavros, Aradia, and the ghost army that faced him. The same ghost army that TAVROS also recruited. The real leader would be him, not this fat 8itch. And even then, she got cucked out again and it was DAVEPETASPRITE^2 who killed Lord English in Epilogues. Vriska didn't deliver the final blow. For a girl to claim she wants to be seen or become a hero, bitch gets cucked out of the great moment it would instill herself as a hero. Vriska may have stopped Gamzee from doing worse to Terezi, but she wouldn't be there if it was not for JOHN. A man saved her life. Also the reason why Roxy had to make the Matriorb was because Eridan had destroyed the one on the meteor. It has nothing to do with Caliborn, even with the whole 'Eridan is the proto-Caliborn' bullshit that Andrew Hussie tries to say he is this in the book commentary. His destruction towards it was necessary too because it meant the Condesce could not repopulate the troll race for the Alpha Timeline. The Condesce was also the one who kidnaps Roxy to force her to make this. It was a WOMAN who wanted to get the troll reproduction back on track since her mistreatment towards her lusus, Gl'bgolyb, made her unable to get the Matriorb. It's in contrast too that Feferi was the only one who treated her lusus kindly that she was rewarded an afterlife for all her friends, the Dream Bubbles. How is Caliborn involved in anyway of the troll repopulation or forcing Roxy to make another one?

Don't worry. I'm just as gobsmacked at the whole Erazor Djinn example as you are.
And that's unfortunate because he does make an interesting contrast to Chaos. You could argue that he was also a victim to an extent too because it's implied that he was set up to fail from the narrative in his world already being written/chosen for him. The difference is that he actively chose to target people who had nothing to do with it and be callous until the bitter end. Like, the fun thing about characterization him in me and my friend's AU is that Erazor really does believe that he is the "good guy" who was wronged by his world's creator and "the blue rat", and his burning hatred has only been solidified since then. In his mind he believes by forcing him to be his bride, he is "saving" Chris from his family name and the expectations of it he was born into, and getting his family "out of the way" was necessary. And no amount of "No means no"s will budge Erazor's convictions. It's still in character- at least I think so- and he's still very much a snake in the grass abuser. Only difference is that he moved on to a new victim, and found a new excuse to justify his God complex.
But nah. Sonic should have just put the evil bara genie in time-out!
Erazor had all the potential to be a tragic villain, but deliberately he chooses not to be.
He's a genie of the lamp in a written story he's aware of. He's doubly enslaved, and he wants to break free, which is more than understandable. In this, his main foil is Shahra, who is also a genie (and a lesser one, less powerful than him) and who is implied to have been trapped in her relationship with Erazor. And yes, he works as a foil for Chaos, who was also trapped in a magical object and developed burning hatred as a result.
But whoops, Erazor was imprisoned in his lamp as a punishment for his past evil deeds! Whoops, he actually wants to destroy the world and possibly Sonic's world as well! Whoops, he's a piece of shit towards Shahra - he tried to curse her with the Flame of Judgment, and that was in his first cutscene!
way to kill the sympathy bro
(hot take: another foil for him? The Deadly Six. They could have been sympathetic due to Eggman torturing them with the Magic Conch... but noooooo they just had to drain the world and get pissy against the one who saved them. nice job assholes)
But also. The thing is. I know that "it's not that deep" is a thought-terminating cliché, but... the Sonic series never meant to tackle these themes of who deserves redemption or to be spared. Sonic is a cartoon series where the protagonist can let the antagonist drown in fucking lava, and nothing bad happens! Am I supposed to think Sonic is a heartless sadistic murderer for the shit he put Eggman through in the Classics alone? Am I supposed to think that Sonic secretly cares about Eggman because he never dies, which means that Sonic always lets him go and never finishes the job? I don't know, and neither did the devs of the games! We don't know what Sonic wants to do with Eggman, because the games are rather self contained, and once the big bad robot is defeated, Sonic's job is done! Is Eggman lost into space, between timelines, vanished into thin air after his mech was destroyed? Who cares, he'll come back, it doesn't mean anything!
And this extends to all the other villains: is Sonic a horrible beast for killing Biolizard, letting Metal behind as he was angsting, erasing Solaris from the timeline? No, because the priority is saving the world, not applying morality to monsters!
Which more or less reminds me of something I said ages ago: Sonic's only "principle" is helping people in need. He has no principles regarding his enemies. He doesn't care. He only cares about doing good to those who need it.

Why is Ganon so bad after wind waker
He wasn't really "bad" in Twilight Princess, at least in my opinion. He just wasn't as good as in Wind Waker. And Ganondorf was VERY good in Wind Waker, it's kind of hard to measure up to a version of Ganondorf that's older, suffered defeat, is slightly more human and speaks of his people and his homeland and why he even wanted the Triforce to begin with, driven slightly mad near the end when he comes so close to getting what he wants only to have it snatched away at the last minute on a technicality. But TP Ganondorf was still cool as hell any time he got screen time.
The main problem most people have with him is that they were just too excited for a new villain and felt like he came out of nowhere at the very end, even though the game clearly foreshadows him once you finish Arbiters Grounds. Him ending up as the final boss is not my problem with him.
My problem is just the way his introduction was handled at all.
When Twilight Princess came out, nobody seemed to know when it took place. Nobody suspected it was in the timeline in which young Link went back in time, warned the King of Hyrule about Ganondorf ( despite him not listening to his own daughter about it ) and prevented the events of Ocarina of Time from ever happening at all. Anybody who tells you they suspected this is bullshitting. This just was not a discussion at all until Nintendo confirmed the split timeline thing long after TP had already been out. People were still thinking the ocean in Wind Waker had somehow been drained and we were back to old Hyrule.
So here I was trying to figure out why Ganondorf got out of the stone at the bottom of the sea, and why he didn't say anything at all about Link, a boy dressed just like the Hero of Time and the Hero of Winds who defeated him before, he only ever directly spoke to Midna... I understand the events now thanks to supplemental material, which, I really don't like it when supplemental material is required to fully understand the details like that.... but I still feel like a Ganondorf who is less experienced could be handled better... also "lol the Gods just gave him the Triforce of Power for Funsies" is something I never fully understood. If Ganondorf never got to break into the Sacred Realm to touch the triforce to begin with, then why was it split up among the three triforce holders? It makes no sense to me.
Anyway, I don't mind him in Twilight Princess, I just wish it was easier to understand and he didn't just suddenly get god like powers because the Gods were just feeling a little silly that day. I also wish he could have spoken a little bit more on his experience in the Twilight Realm and maybe made his connections with Zant a little more clear ( wtf was up with that neck crack thing at the end of the game? )
No, my main problem is with everything that came after. They treat him less like a man who has a lust for power and is driven by having suffered a shitty life in the desert while being jealous of the thriving Hyrulians and their lush greenery... and more like a monster who's just evil for funzies and only wants to kill and destroy. All of this feels like a result of that unceremonious backstory they tacked on with Skyward Sword... "Lulz, he's the reincarnation of an evil god so he's always going to be a powerful warlord who hates Hyrule no matter what his circumstances are"
I'll grant you this. We have only had exactly one Ganondorf appearance in a mainline Zelda game since TP. He was a half baked monster that didn't speak and only wanted to destroy shit. I was very worried that this is just the new direction for his character in a post-skyward-sword-retconned world. Destructive demon man who only does what he does because destiny said so or something.
Tears of the Kingdom could change things, now that it's possible that Calamity Ganon is not really the same being as Ganondorf. But again, his dialogue being all "kill em all, burn it all down, no survivors!" does not fill me with confidence that he's going to be interesting in this game.

【UndertaleAU】Rebuild! Frisk of Origins (short story)
*Frisk (female) perspective, the character setting chapter is in the first part (click me here!)
* Stream of consciousness, disordered writing, a lot of OOC (I haven’t been inspired for a long time (fainted)
* Players in this world line have bad tastes, pay attention to selfish cp elements
Thank you to everyone who is willing to come! ! (tears)
__________________________________
Now... what time is it?
... What day was the first week she experienced?
——When did she crash and delete AU at the beginning of the last episode?
After so long, she can't remember clearly, she was in a void
Although these are things that can be known by looking at the code, she can check it at any time anyway, so she doesn't bother to look for it.
Probably at the beginning of a certain day, she gradually felt the power that controlled her, and occasionally there would be thoughts in her mind that did not belong to her
But, at least that power spared the monsters along the way like she did
Does that prove that at least that power is the same as her goal?
she thought optimistically
But on the way of the journey, she began to worry about the things in the world above
What do they do when they get back to the surface?
And she is regarded as a "heretic" by humans who worship magic on the surface. How can she convince other humans?
The village she lives in is very anti-technology, punching and kicking the androids she serves, let alone other places
What if the magic barrier is actually protecting them?
"Your father is a bionic!", "Your mother is a freak scientist!", "She not only researches technology, but also has a baby with bionics. You are a freak too!","Respect bionic freaks , Touch technology freaks!"
When she was still young, she kept running away listening to those words, and at the same time, the magic from the same kind of human beings kept greeting her face.
Not like that! Her father was still a human being, so what if he was a bionic person by definition! Her mother implanted her soul into the machine body for her father's sake. Her mother and her went to learn technology just to save more people!
Why do they suffer so much blank stare for doing so? And why her parents were besieged to death because of technology!
The trauma of the past is so vivid that her memory keeps going back. She doesn't want to indulge in the despair of the past, but her brain can't bear it and she repeatedly touches the pain
can she...
can she can can she can
The monsters replied to her:
"my child,"
"Humans, things won't get any worse! I, the great papyrus, assure you,"
"Hey, kid. Don't worry about that, you can convince us that you're not as bad as you think, and we're here this time, aren't we?"
...
Encouragement from everyone filled her with determination
Until she was only one step away from redeeming everyone and returning to the surface, her vision was suddenly cut off, and the darkness in front of her didn't take long before she returned to the golden flower she fell on at the beginning—the entrance of the ruins
The timeline was suddenly reset
She couldn't react for a while
Why?
Why did it suddenly reset? Is it to control her existence and feel that there is something else that needs to be done?
Until she met the monster that was out of control, and overwrote the archive that was only one step away from saving all the monsters
Could it be that everything she did along the way was a joke? Wouldn't the power that controlled her regret the result that "he" was about to complete?
She bit her lip, her pride did not allow her to cry, but she still moved forward with the tears on her face
"What's the matter, child?" After arriving in Snowdin, she met Sans just like last week. He wanted to ask Frisk what happened, so he made Frisk turn to look at him, until Sans paused when he saw her abnormality, "you……"
He didn't say it, but turned a corner and said his lines, guess the players are still staring at them outside
He felt the fluctuation of the timeline at the moment of reset, and from Frisk's reaction, it seems that the reset is indeed not Frisk's will
With the progress of one week after another, the power controlling her will dodge more and more attacks from monsters, but the number of monsters killed will also gradually increase with each week.
Going against her wishes again and again, reminding her of the scene of her parents being besieged and killed
After almost slaughtering all the monsters and repeating week, the condemnation and helplessness from her former friends in the process, and the voice call that told about the underground situation after each week got out of the enchantment, and the tone gradually became tired. , her sanity was lost at that moment, she didn't know what happened, she only knew that she was roaring at the entrance of the ruins, everything in front of her eyes gradually turned white
"Error in file.exe"
"Error in file.exe"
"role error.exe"
"Document crash.exe"
"Failed to run .exe"
...
everything is gone except herself
Frisk looks around at nothing
Why didn't she disappear?
She found that there was an unknown power that was not LOVE on her body, and the existence that controlled her disappeared, but she desperately called out the blue cyber keyboard at the first moment and decided to delete herself.
"Kill [<Frisk>]"
"Kill [<Player's Name>]"
"Delete [<Frisk>]"
"Delete [<Player's Name>]"
After waiting for a while, she still feels no pain or can't think
……No effect
What about external force?
She tried to increase her stats from the knife, and even created an unseen, self-aware monster to destroy herself, but it didn't work, so she had to delete the monster
Although it was a big project, she decided to restore AU after she regained her senses
"Failed to restore file"
"Failed to restore file"
"Failed to restore role"
"Resume run failed"
...
"Rewrite program failed"
What's more strange is that she was familiar with the code in the process of learning technology, and the source code and recovery program of this game are still intact, so why was AU deleted by her? Why can't she delete herself? And why can't she restore AU?
Because she is the initiator of the order? Because she is the last character?
She didn't want to think about it anymore, she lay down on the empty floor
She's so tired,and don't know how long it's been
and also--
She didn't know that the power that once controlled her had collected the complete "normal ending" until the deletion of the AU was in charge of the highest authority, and the last cut off took the "no forgiveness route", if she hadn't cut it under the collapse Cut off the AU, maybe the next week will take the route of massacre, and everything will be completely impossible to recover by then
Another day in the white void, she found out the code of the shuttle AU, so she began to travel through each AU, the most original version of Undertale, the cruel Underfell, Underswap and Swapfell that reversed the positioning of characters... During the process, she Knowing that her AU is called "Rebuildtale", some AU timelines are beautiful, some timelines are tragic, or crossed with joy and sorrow - but in any case, they did not find her under the cover of the code she wrote , she did not interfere with the AU
However, when she sees the happy endings of other AUs, she still can't help but wonder if her AU's happy endings are successful, will her life be as good as theirs
Also, she misses her old friends so much
Toriel, Papyrus, Sans, Undyne, Alphys, MTT, Asgore, Asriel, those friendly and cute monsters——
Keeping thinking about it, she covered her face, she finally couldn't stop trembling and crying due to her strong self-esteem
Sorry to didn't "save" you everyone
——Temporarily finished, to be repaired——

Reblogging in case someone missed that i posted this. Some author's commentary under the read more. Tagging @oscarat in case you're interested in that kind of shit
This is based on an idea I discussed here with the lovely @dnpanimationstudioclone about how I would rewrite the Evil Future Self™ episode. Danny basically turns into a giant goo monster and destroys everything. If you're seen Princess Mononoke, he's like the Nightwalker at the end of the movie, but bigger. (I don't really know a better way to explain what I'm imagining than that.)
There are 3 parts to Nightwalker!Danny: the goo, The Device™, and Danny's human body. The Device™ is hooked up to Danny's body and pulls in ambient ectoplasm from the Ghost Zone and forces his core to metabolize it into energy, powering The Device™.
(I haven't decided whether Danny was supposed to be an energy source, a weapon, or both. Like the Prime Minister said, it doesn't matter; the result is the same.)
The goo is there either because it's pulling too much ectoplasm than Danny's core can handle, or it's a byproduct of the metabolization because it produces energy and the building blocks of ghost flesh.
Normally, Danny's core doesn't make or deal with more ectoplasm than can fit inside his body, but these aren't normal circumstances.
He quickly grew to destroy all of the Americas, crossed over into Russia from Alaska, and is in the process of destroying the Afro-Eurasia land mass. If he's not stopped, the goo will eventually cover the Earth.
Like the Nightwalker from Princess Mononoke, Danny's goo destroys everything it touches, as ectoplasm that's part of a ghost is hostile to anything foreign to its own body, like an immune response.
Also like the Nightwalker, the goo is slowed down by water, so islands far enough from the 2 largest land masses are safe for now.
Good News is there's a win condition: remove The Device™. Bad News is nothing, not even nuclear weapons, have been able to penetrate the goo far enough to get to it.
An alternate timeline Danny may be able to dig thru the goo without getting destroyed because it won't identify him as foreign, but once inside, he'll have a hard time distinguishing his own body and ectoplasm from the goo. Danny's brain and core aren't equipped to deal with a body that big, or with wrestling control over it with someone else. Even with multiple Dannys, it will be difficult.
(Given that brain and body size roughly scale, imagine how large a brain would have to be to handle a continent sized body. Now imagine putting a 1.4kg human brain in charge of that.)
Once The Device™ is gone, the goo won't disappear like I originally thought. It'll stop growing tho, and they can pull Nightwalker!Danny out. Not sure how much The Device™ was contributing to keeping him alive, so he might not survive long. Without Nightwalker!Danny directing it, the goo should decay into ambient ectoplasm naturally (but you don't really want it in Earth's atmosphere so it should be put back into the Ghost Zone).
Without any time-traveling Danny's, the best hope for Earth is either the remaining humans come up with something or The Device™ wears out and stops working before he covers the planet.
I know he grew fast enough that he covered the main 48 US states before the world could properly react (and Hawaii declared independence with zero fuss). When the fic takes place he's big enough to cover the majority of Afro-Eurasia. His growth rate has probably slowed down, suggesting that The Device™ is wearing down and may stop, so there's a little hope.
After the death of his family and friends at the Nasty Burger, Danny turns himself into the GIW to avoid Vlad getting custody of him and Dan’s creation. Unfortunately, the GIW turns him into something even worse than Dan.
#danny phantom#my author's commentary managed to be longer than the fic itself#not even surprised by that

yes that was a response to that reply my bad!! i shoulda specified - ALSO YOURE THAT FIC AUTHOR I DIDNT REALISE, THAT ASK WASN'T MEANT TO SOUND PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE IM SO SORRY I WAS JUST ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT CANON VS FANON
Nononono you're fine! Please don't worry about it! When I think anons are being passive aggressive, I usually just delete 'em without answering, so we're all good!
I also spend a lot of time thinking about canon vs. fanon in most fandoms I end up in, but particularly Batman. I've been in fandoms before where I absolutely and fundamentally despised the widely accepted fanon (looking at you, MCU Hawkeye in a Vent and Dumbass Poptart Thor circa 2014), and so I know how frustrating it can be when there's such a huge canyon between the source material and the fan interpretations, particularly when it's something near and dear to your heart.
I'm kind of fascinated with it in regards to Batman though, because there's almost a full century of canon material to draw from. 90% of fan takes on characters have legitimate canonical bases in the comics because so many writers and artists and editors have been involved. Like good dad Bruce, abusive dad Bruce, suave Bruce, awkward Bruce, pedophile Bruce, rage monster Bruce, gentle with the rogues Bruce, and thirty-one other flavors of Bruce are all technically represented somewhere in the canon. But then you've also got the random fanon things that tend to appear that have 0 basis in the comics. (Like I said, I've kinda decided I jive with a lot of the Tim ones. But, for an example, one that gets on my nerves a bit is Jason calling Tim "Replacement" when "Pretender" is right there and so much better. Replacement puts all the responsibility on Bruce. Pretender gives more active blame to Tim instead of making him Just a Pawn. BUT I DIGRESS.)
The point is, I'm glad you said something about the reply, because now I've adjusted my known timeline of events and can move forward accordingly until I get to reading those arcs! I probably should've just left well enough alone, because in pretty much all my fandoms, I don't have the best head for what happens where. I've always been more interested in the spirit of the thing being correctly represented. It makes me extremely easy to please with adaptations of books into films, takes in fics, and all that good stuff, because as long as the heart is in the right place, I'm good to go. As a result, I'm pretty much swayed by whatever meta I've read most recently on a given thing. Like so long as it feels like the thing and the creator is bringing their A-Game? Hell yeah, sign me up.
The issue for me starts when fanon is in direct contradiction to the soul of the canon thing. One of those for me in Batfic actually is the pit madness idea--I get it! Saying that Jason was out of his mind makes it easier to integrate him back into the fam, excuses his actions in a somewhat palatable way, and explains the horrifically inconsistent writing and characterization that DC canonically gives him! BUT. Saying Jason did all his killing and violence due to something out of his control takes away his agency and, for me, removes a hell of a lot of what makes him interesting as a character, because he's not on a rampage. He's making very calculated moves to win the game. He's making a choice, not having one made for him by green goop.
ANYWAY.
I got off topic quite badly here. All this to say, I am also extremely enthusiastic about fanon vs. canon! Please don't apologize! I could ramble about this kind of thing for months.
#mail#anonymous#where's that post about Tumblr being the place where you tip your head upside down#and shake until all the crazy comes out#because that's what I feel like right now#BUT IN A VERY GOOD WAY#anyway#DC#batman#fanon vs canon

What are your Thots on jake’s pq route?
I already wrote some about it in this post where I discuss the problem with taking dirkjake as a literal parallel to tavris (Mainly, that it’s inaccurate to both situations and misrepresents the dynamics at play) but it’s been long enough since release that I feel like I can talk about it without that criticism being taken as a personal witch hunt. TL;DR: As a general rule of thumb I don’t cite Jake’s PQ as part of his characterization, and I think basing your Jakewriting on it will only lead you astray.
I liked a lot of the Pesterquest routes and the alphas were among some of my favorites, but I think when you play the four of them in sequence Jake’s really... stands as the odd one out. It’s almost as if he’s afforded way less sympathy from the get go for some indiscernible reason, or like MSPAR took a day to say ‘I can’t stand this kid in particular’ after dealing with waaaaaaaay more mindboggling troll customs or stupid dangerous situations that tested their patience and their limits. When it comes down to it, it’s mostly an issue of framing.
Let’s go with the “Just the Alpha routes” example, because I think that makes the overall context clearer and the response/reactions it gathered (or the lack thereof) easier to understand. The alpha kids were the last 4 Pesterquest episodes. They were also afforded entire volumes just for themselves, which cemented our expectations on “oh, they’re going to really dig into unexplored territory!” and for the most part, that’s what we got! It was really nice to see the internal mechanics of Jane as someone raised within a corporate echochamber, Roxy as a grieving, isolated kid, deprived of all human contact, and Dirk as a nerdy doomsday prepper haunted by private flashes of himself as a supervillain. It all works! Those are things the alpha kids were dealing with on the background of the broader Homestuck story, things we were only hinted at as the *larger* problems played out. It makes you understand their point of view. Except on Jake's route, where nothing about his life seems to be relevant at all?
With Jane we get discussions about HIC and her family, with Roxy beautiful passages about a mother they never met and growing up alone— Same for Dirk, who gets a whole brother zapped from an alternate timeline. But on Jake's route there's not even an expansive dialogue path dedicated to Grandma English, Skaianet, the rebellion, or the giant red ship that came and murdered her in the night and then bombed his house, leaving him trapped inside his only surviving tower. No understanding passage realizing that this kid has had to fend for himself in an island full of Actual Giant Alien Monsters trying to eat him alive, or that he cremated his guardian specifically to avoid attracting predators to the scent of fresh blood drying on her mutilated corpse at the age of an actual toddler. The text refuses to dig into any of the psychological implications or impact an environment like this could have on a kid, which is even weirder when you consider MSPAR has met and helped Vriska get out of a similar situation. The whole thing with Jane in the previous volume has just happened, even, while Jake's particularities go unremarked. He was just supposed to deal with it. And that's because a choice was made to portray all of Jake's problems in this route as sort of... single handedly Dirk's fault? Something he should have Just Dealt with?
There's not even a hint that Jake knows Hal exists. Which is important! Jake can pick out Hal from Dirk based on *verbal cues*, and the fact that he considers Hal a barrier between him and his "real friend" getting to communicate with one another is a whole point of contention (and even comedy) in the story proper. Instead of examining Jake's isolation, or grief, or how he literally locks himself in his room and plasters it with cinematic posters to pretend he's just the main lead of a wacky adventure movie in the face of the immense shitshow outside, we get brobot acting nonsensically and threatening to break into Jake's room to beat him up.
A general reminder on brobot: He was programmed to scout the jungle and deal with predators so Jake could a) Be allowed to safely leave his room (something he simply didn't do before age 13 out of sheer terror, and we know this because dirk and jake talk about it on his birthday conversation, when he first gets brobot) and
b) Learn how to defend himself in the case of a surprise attack, with different combat settings adjusted to his level. The brobot has a novice mode Jake feels patronized by, but pushes him up levels quickly enough. In Homestuck proper, the brobot only enters "stalking mode" after Hal gets pissy with Jake for finding him out, and forcefully switches the setting on to make Jake work for the Uranium inside it. When you take Hal out of the picture, this plotline makes no sense! Jake's route is set way before the Alphas even think of entering the game, so this particular event hasn't even happened. Jake goes on to text Roxy and she turns the stalking setting off remotely anyways, so even if brobot was programmed to murder Jake in his sleep, or jump him inside the safe zone of his room (he's not) he has literally no reason to be acting like that when he's been set to Baby Buff Up Mode.
(Brobot does end up spontaneously pulling himself apart to give Jake his reward after this)
Which brings me to my other problem with the general framing of this volume; the alpha kids don't feel present in Jake's life as friends at all. It's all "romantic options" and "shipping discourse" and MSPAR making these silly logic jumps to justify insisting on this line of query, and all it does is completely flatten out anything of interest having to do with Jake as a Person, to build up an image of Dirk as being suspicious and shady for his volume and more or less come to the conclusion that Jake sucks because he just Cant Choose Who To Date Between All His Friends! And that's why jake is just like tavros… and dirk is just like vriska! Or something.
And just as a reminder, here's Jake talking with Roxy so I don't have to explain why that feels like a weird choice to me. (click to zoom)
And then there's the endings. On the vriska ending, MSPAR just ends up weirdly angry at jake for being such a piss baby and not getting that he's tavros and dirk is vriska so he had to… uh… take all his anger out on this 13 year old alien girl he has never met and teach her a lesson to prepare to do the same on dirk, or something. And on the other ending Jake mentions his pen pal, is zapped to meet jade, they have some non-committal greetings and then a cosplay party where Jake insists that he totally likes Lara croft not because she's a femme fatale and he relates to that, because he's never ever in his life thought of anyone being interested on him. Or Something. He likes Lara croft for normal reasons only. He wears really tiny shorts and does sexy poses because he's not aware at all of how other people find him attractive. He's just too dumb to get this, or the shipping thing, or that he's tavros and Dirk is vriska (who the hell are these people?).
Jake feels like an afterthought in the grand scope of events. Sidelined on his own episode. This volume is busy with rehashing age old fandom arguments that have little to do with his character, because said arguments were started and maintained by bored teens engrossed on fighting online instead of analyzing Homestuck; we introduce vriska for no interesting reason at all (thank god at least Jake has enough decency to say he's not into hitting on 13-year-olds, because that would have been particularly rancid.) And aside from catchphrases and old slang sprinkled liberally into his dialogue like a fog making machine, none of the motivation for the character is there. What does he want? What does he fear? Why does he act like the way he does? What would accommodating him look like? What would helping him look like? We get this on Jane's volume, Roxy's volume, and Dirk's volume. To really heart-wrenching and dramatic results, too. You get to know who they are, where they live, what they want, what they fear, what might help them get better, but Jake is just sort of There. He's a burden. MSPAR either ends this volume berating him for not doing what they want or finding him weird and confusing and like they don't know each other at all, and the fact both of those were marked as dubiously bad ends in the game files speaks for itself, I think.

Old Friends
Summary: Loki doesn't meet his three counterparts in the TVA's garbage dump at the end of time but someone else entirely.
Warnings: Some sexual innuendo. Troubling possessive childhood behaviour. Mention of unwanted sexual advances (not perpetrated by either of the main characters in the fic).
==============
Loki considers the words neatly painted in bright red letters on the large signpost.
NO LOKIS (except for the kid and alligator they're cool)
He squints, wondering if his earlier rough landing has jumbled some connections in the language processing bits of his brain. He shakes his head and reads again.
Nope, he evidently did not misread the bit about the alligator.
"What in the name of Buri's wrinkly left-"
Before Loki can finish uttering the obscenity, an overwhelming aura of powerful magic smothers him. He barely has a chance to retaliate before he's swept away like a pebble in a fluvial flood.
He finds himself lying on the half-withered gray-green grass, staring incredulously at the softly glowing incorporeal fetters wrapped about his chest and ankles.
There's only one person he knows with this particular type of binding magic.
But no, no it couldn't be. It couldn't possibly be-
"You have a lot of nerve," her achingly familiar voice rings out in the desolate silence. Her equally familiar face comes into view as she leans over his prone form, "Coming here."
"Sigyn," he can only manage a hoarse whisper at first, but giddy elation soon overtakes shock, and his mouth widens in a cheeky grin, "Oh, I'm certainly not doing that at present but since you've already skipped past dinner to the bonda-"
Sigyn whacks him sharply on the head with her staff. Not hard enough to cause any pain, but hard enough to startle him into silence.
"Brazen," she sighs, sounding more exasperated than offended, "Every single one of you."
"I prefer cockyyy-" Loki trails off at the unamused glare she shoots him, "-shutting up now."
"Good choice."
Sigyn shakes her head and dispels the fetters that hold him. Though familiar, in truth, Loki hasn't felt her magic so close to him in centuries. Not since they were children and he was showing her how to conjure fireworks in her hands.
He wonders briefly if her hair still smells like apple blossoms.
"Come on," she reaches for his hand and pulls him to his feet without waiting for his assent, "Time to go. You know the rules."
"I don't actually," Loki tries not to look upset when she lets go of his hand (pathetic, Norns, he is pathetic), "I don't even know where...what this place is." He frowns, considering. "Probably not Hel since you're here."
Sigyn coughs a short, sharp bark of a laugh. There's no humour in it.
"This is Hel," she says, "In all but name."
"So...I'm dead?"
Sigyn sighs again, closes her eyes and blows at the loose strand of hair hanging in her face.
"Wonderful. You're a new one then. You remember being pruned, yes?"
"Yes. Not very pleasant."
"Quite. Well, this-" she moves one arm in a fluid, graceful arc, gesturing in grandiose fashion at the depressing panorama of refuse and ruined buildings littered about the grey landscape. "-is where the TVA sends their rubbish. Everyone they prune, any physical material from a reset timeline - it ends up here."
"Everything?" Loki quirks an eyebrow, "Seems a little empty of clutter if the refuse of millions of dead timelines is being dumped here."
"Ah. Yes, that would be the work of the giant purple cloud monster of eternal, ceaseless hunger that devours all within its path."
An ominous sounding growl underlaid with the rumble of thunder sounds faintly in the distance.
Loki looks towards the distant horizon and sees a large dark, purplish smear like a fresh bruise in the grey sunless sky. Light flares and something that vaguely resembles a galaxy-class battlecruiser falls from the heavens. Immediately, the great bruised mass is upon the hulking remains.
He is uncomfortably reminded of that ridiculous nightmare he used to have about being phagocytosed by a giant amoeba (he longs for such innocent days, when his bad dreams were the result of his overactive imagination processing tedious microbiology lessons and not recollections of the various horrors he has experienced).
"That would be Alioth. The giant purple cloud monster. Don't ask me who came up with that name. Now if you'll excuse me-" Sigyn turns briskly on her heel and heads off in the direction beyond the NO LOKIS sign.
"Wha- hold on! You're just going to leave? You're leaving me to that thing??"
"Oh please, you'll have plenty of time before it gets here. Besides," she mutters, "You're a Loki. There's a thousand of you in this Norns forsaken wasteland. Trust me, if there's one thing you all do very well, it's survive."
Her words hurt more than he wants to admit. That bad memory loop with Sif had been more painful for obvious reasons, but...he knew what Sif thought of him. Even back then, those words she'd thrown at him had not surprised him.
As a child, he'd always felt special to Sigyn. She'd wanted to be his friend, his own true friend and not just Thor's friend who didn't mind having Loki along for the ride. She'd liked the same things he did. She'd always laughed at his jokes and pranks.
He'd felt like he mattered to her.
Of course that had only made him abominably possessive. He just couldn't abide any other child having her attention. The fear of an insecure wretch - so terrified that if Sigyn looked away even for a moment, she would see something better, that she would find him wanting.
He shouldn't have been surprised when Sigyn did not protest at her father sending her to live with her late mother's relatives on Alfheim when her true powers manifested on the cusp of puberty.
He'd...he'd said such awful things to her before she'd gone. When two people have been friends for centuries, they know exactly what to say to make it hurt. Sigyn had given back as good as she got, but instead of petty childish insults, her accusations had rung with truth.
She'd known why no one wanted to be her friend, she'd known exactly what he'd been doing behind her back - all the tricks, all the schemes, everything he'd done to ensure that none would take his friend from him.
As a parting shot she'd declared that even though he'd been horrid, she had stayed his friend because she had cared about him. That he had been special to her and she hadn't wanted to lose him either.
It was one thing to lose his only friend besides his brother - it was another to know that all his fears had been naught but smoke and mirrors. That he had been awful, that he'd made Sigyn sad and disappointed for absolutely nothing.
She had returned to Asgard.
Eventually.
Týr could only use the excuse of his daughter's magical education for so long. Someone of her abilities was too important an asset for the Allfather to ignore.
In the end, they had come to a reconciliation (of sorts) because they were tired of avoiding each other.
Or perhaps, the more simple truth (that neither would have admitted to) was that they missed each other.
They were never again as close as they'd been as children, but they'd stayed friends (or friendly at least). On good enough terms that the Warriors Four had not sought her out to spin their tale of treachery and magical incursion (Sigyn certainly would have been the ideal person to subdue a treacherous, power-mad and magically gifted regent). But not on good enough terms that he would have approached her for help in his ill-conceived scheme to delay Thor's coronation (perhaps events would have played out more favourably if he'd had someone to bounce ideas off).
That had been his Sigyn anyway. The one who didn't even exist now. Reset into non-existence by the TVA along with everything else on the timeline he'd been taken from.
Did you mourn, he'd asked his brother.
We all did.
He wonders if the Sigyn he'd known had mourned him.
The Sigyn briskly walking away now seems ill-inclined to mourn any Loki. What had the Loki of her timeline done to make her want to have nothing to do with him? He isn't sure if he wants to know.
He is tired. So very, very tired. Tired of feeling responsible for things he has not done (yet? is it really destiny if your life is just a series of bullet points on a checklist created and enforced by a totalitarian bureaucratic organization built by person or persons unknown?). Tired of not being able to do anything to make amends for the things that he actually is responsible for.
Except...he can.
Sigyn isn't a memory construct, she is real, she is here.
It's just one thing, one little thing and it is paltry compared to the other ill-deeds he has committed (and the ones he is fated to commit)-
But it's something at least.
Loki catches up to her easily (being roughly a head taller has its advantages) and grabs the end of her staff.
"Sigyn-"
She fixes him with those sharp, dark eyes and he realises he doesn't know how he's supposed to start this. He swallows past the lump in his throat and says the first word that comes to mind.
"Please."
Her eyes soften just a little, but her mouth remains set in a firm, hard line, and she tries to tug the staff out of his grasp.
He doesn't let go.
"Stop trying to stall me."
"I'm not-" Loki bites back the instinctive protestation and soldiers on. "I need to tell you I'm sorry about what I said before Alfheim and for everything I did before that. I'm sorry that I was selfish, I'm sorry that I didn't trust you, I'm sorry I made you cry and...I'm sorry I wasn't a worthy friend to you."
"...Loki," her voice is soft, "That happened centuries ago. I'm not...I'm not even the Sigyn you need to apologize to."
"You're still Sigyn. You deserve one regardless."
Sigyn has that look on her face. That gentle, pensive consideration tinged with something soft and tender that he can't quite name. She used to look at him like that whenever he did something nice (whether unprompted or as an apology for something not so nice he'd done earlier).
Norns. This is getting awkward. Existential fear at the potential cessation of his existence and his childhood night terrors featuring improbably large unicellular organisms notwitstanding, Loki thinks he might not mind if that giant purple cloud trundled in right now and swallowed him up.
"Well, I'd best get on, hadn't I? Surviving and all that?" He coughs, "I...I'm...it was good to see you again. Thank you for not kneeing me in the crotch mid-apology. I appreciate it."
He turns to leave. He doesn't have a clue where to go, but the opposite direction from the purple cloud monster seems like a good start.
Maybe he'll survive long enough to come across Mobius. Half of him wants to find the man as soon as possible (perhaps also be complimented on his intelligence and the betterment of his moral condition). The other half hopes that he never sees him again (because brainwashed amnesiac variant or not, Mobius has subjected him to very unpleasant situations designed to psychologically shatter him. Loki is the last person in the universe who would hold someone entirely responsible for actions undertaken after their minds have been tampered with, but still. Just because he understands doesn't mean he can forget.)
As for Sylvie...Loki doesn't want to think about it, but if the TVA is smart, they wouldn't prune her. They wouldn't risk a repeat of whatever had happened on Lamentis-1, and since he is already here...
"Catch."
The improbable sound of Sigyn's voice startles him from his ruminations and without thinking his hand shoots up to intercept the small rectangular object wrapped in plastic and foil before it hits his face.
Loki stares at the granola bar (expiry date 12/12/2075) incredulously and then at Sigyn, walking briskly at his side and keeping pace with his long strides.
"I thought you-"
"You looked hungry."
"Sigyn, I believe this is what the Midgardians call 'giving mixed signals'."
"Look," she sighs, "I've been looking for...someone very dear to me for a very long time. I can't deny I feel some resentment for everyone I meet wearing his face. My baggage isn't an excuse for my rough treatment of you. It was unfair of me, and I apologise."
He blinks, not quite sure what to make of what she's telling him. Sigyn had never been one to mince words, she either said exactly what was on her mind or nothing at all.
That she is being deliberately vague and yet throwing up strong implications with her choice of words means that she does not want to lie but believes the truth is not something that he will be happy to hear.
Well, by now he's had a lot of experience dealing with unpleasant truths. Another one added to the pile is hardly going to hurt.
Sigyn has just started drinking from a battered metal canteen when he voices his suspicions.
"It's Theoric, isn't it?"
She chokes and spits out half of her drink.
"What?!" She wheezes, "What in Ymir's hoary arse gave you that idea?!"
"Didn't you fancy him back in-" Loki grimaces, snapping his fingers as he tries to pinpoint the date in question, "That year when burgundy was all the rage. Burgundy, scandalously low necklines and uncomfortably tight trousers."
"I went on a date with him because he was handsome, he was annoying me and I was young and stupid," she sneers, "He tried to put his hand up my skirts an hour into the picnic so trust me, after that I wanted nothing to do with the louse."
Something a little too much like that old familiar selfish anger bubbles up in his chest.
"He dared," he growls, "He dared to put his hands on you. He should have had his filthy paws struck off at the wrist for the insult to your dignity."
"Eat your granola, don't crush it," Sigyn says calmly, "In any case, I resolved the situation quite easily and without bloodshed."
"Shame," Loki mutters. He takes a bite of the now somewhat crumbly Midgardian snack and wrinkles his nose at the taste. "So how did you handle that son of a bitch?"
"I rendered him impotent for a year. I would have kept it permanent but he came crawling on his hands and knees begging for my forgiveness, swearing on the souls of his ancestors never to trouble me again, vowing to gift me his firstborn as my thrall etcetera etcetera..." she shrugs, "What can I say? I'm soft."
Loki doesn't remember the last time he's laughed this hard.

So, if _I_ was plotting Strikeback...
Some theorycrafting and general noodling around going into Strikeback and Season 5.
First, assumptions:
1) The show is not about to fundamentally change in any major way that would change its overall tone and storytelling dynamic.
Serial episodic continuity is not going to arrive and allow for more complex storytelling. Episodes will continue to air in a haphazard order as they are completed and translated. The main audience targeted by the show will remain ages 5-11, as Astruc has emphasized. The monster-of-the-week formula will remain going forward. And with that being said...
2) The title "Last Attack of Shadowmoth" is something of a fakeout.
Gabriel Agreste is not going anywhere, being captured, being jailed or being revealed to the world at large as Hawk/Shadowmoth. That would fundamentally end the show as we've known it, that would disrupt Adrien's life in a multitude of ways, and given that a large portion of the final 22 minutes of Season 4 will be Our Heroes battling SpikeBot 3000 and his spawns, there simply isn't time to write the series's archvillain out of the picture for good and set up the many, many repercussions -- not to mention that there isn't a secondary big-bad waiting in the wings ready to pick up where he left off!
But "Shadowmoth" is a specific construct, the combination of the Moth and Peacock used by Gabriel Agreste. And that tells me that one of those three elements is exiting the equation.
3) The Adrien that we know and love is a sentimonster.
The clues are there, the behavior that Felix witnessed in Risk is all but confirmation, and Astruc insisting repeatedly on Twitter that "while I am not confirming any theories, a sentihuman is as human as any other human is, so stop calling him 'feather boy'" hints that there's more to that than "don't call him 'feather boy' because he isn't one."
So, what might we see in my fantasy draft of Strikeback?
1) No one dies.
See above: "ages 5 to 11." Not that death is unknown to the Miracuverse (hello, massive flood covering Paris with water, hello, giant volcano in downtown, hello, Chat Noir dissolved by Timebreaker), but it is reversed whenever possible. The only walking, talking characters I can think of that have been permanently banished were sentis (Sentibug, Sentibubbler, etc.) that were explicitly shown being created for a villainous purpose. Even if Felix and/or Adrien are sentis, they've been established as sentient characters rather than as plot devices.
2) Goodbye, Felix.
That said, Feather Boy #2 simply knows too much now to remain. Lila will figure the cousin-switch out rapidly, and she would betray Felix to Gabe for a ham sandwich or any other specified reward. And if Felix continues to remain on the show with what he knows, he's either going to expose Gabe (which changes the show) or everyone will have to start taking idiot pills each morning.
Does Gabe have the testicular fortitude ([tm] Mick Foley) to simply 'turn off' his only nephew, something that would raise just a few uncomfortable questions from many people, especially Amelie? Probably not. He is not a cold killer, much less towards someone in his own family.
I suspect that Felix will get an unpleasant warning, with the corresponding revelation that the Peacock in Felix's bag is a fake (thus, that Gabe is fully aware of what Felix knows and holds Felix's life in his hands). "Get off the train, never come back, never say a word, NEVER tell my son, or the last thing you'll see is your body turning into bubble soup."
3) A half-reveal is possible... but unlikely. Yet.
We have all seen the screencap of Ladybug blushing hard at Chat and giving him eyes of adoration. It is possible that through her mucking about with Fluff and alternate timelines, she'd realize that Adrien is Chat Noir, and that face is the result of that.
Only half, if it happens. Because I could see Marinette realizing that and feeling fifty kinds of love for him in both his forms but also wrestling with the whole "I'm the Ladybug, I'm the Guardian, I have too many responsibilities, I really can't date him" moral dilemma and having that be a big theme into S5.
But Adrien finding Felix's spy tool thingy at the end of Risk hints at something different. I'm picturing Adrien following in Felix's footsteps, figuring things out, then telling Ladybug (as Chat) "I'm a Sentimonster. I always have been." Then insisting that he's staying in the fight anyway, despite the one-snap risk to his life by battling a Peacock host, "because that's what I'm meant to do. To be by your side."
And she just wibbles.
That leaves reveals for later, that leaves questions in the air (how can she fully trust him if he's a senti, what else does he know, how can Adrien work to undermine and expose his father without giving away what HE now knows?), and that adds up decently for a season-ending cliffhanger.
4) Gabriel stops using the Peacock.
I can imagine a near-miss situation, something where he decides to eliminate Sentifelix and finds out at the last possible moment from Lila that that's not Felix, that's Adrien that he's looking at. That as long as it's around, the Peacock poses a mortal threat to his son.
He's not going to quit altogether; his need to revive his wife is too strong. He's not going to give the Peacock to someone other than Nathalie (like, say, Lila) because that puts life-and-death for Adrien in someone else's hands. Nathalie is still too broken to return to being Mayura. And, as previously noted, the Gabe + Moth + Peacock dynamic has to change in some way based on the arc title.
"Nooroo, give me the power to create a twenty-kilometer-long hole in the ground, right here, and to close it up thirty seconds later."
*drops Peacock in*
Or "Nooroo, give me the power to teleport this Miraculous to a moon of Jupiter," or whatever. Something to take it off the playing field, lest someone else obtain it and have complete blackmail material over him. After all, if not for the fakes he'd planted, that would be happening now.
And we enter Season 5 with Adrien aware that he's a senti and that his father is Hawkmoth, but hesitant to simply expose him because then what happens to his mother? The boy is torn inside. Marinette knows that Chat is a senti and Chat knows more than he's saying, which creates major tensions between LB and CN. Hawkmoth returns to normal operating parameters. And Adrien works and plots against his father, trying to eliminate the threat of the Miraculous that his father no longer has.
So... go ahead, tear that apart.

Summary:
Legend and Warriors get some rest... or try to.
An excerpt of something that was supposed to be canon in the AU, but we didn't think hard enough about the timeline first so it's not lmao. Hope you like it!!!!!
Context: Legend, Twilight, Sky, and Wild have just come back from a excursion and traveled the whole night, not sleeping, because they got freaked out by something. Warriors couldn't sleep either because he was worried about them (...but mostly about Legend, let's be real). Legend saw him and immediately went cling! but Wars started spouting theory and strategy and that wasn't super appreciated by the sleep deprived heroes.
The hero with his face currently buried in Warriors’ scarf groaned in protest. “Babe, c’n it wait until ’ve had caffeine or a nap? Please…”
Twilight looked like he didn’t absorb half of what Wars had said. “Strategist brain is appreciated, but a nap would be good, yeah.”
"Er.... s-sorry. We've got these rooms for the next two days, so you're all welcome to head back upstairs if you want...?"
Legend tugged on his scarf, trying to get his eyes to focus enough to glare at him. “You’re coming too. Ya didn’t sleep either, dummy.”
"I-- .... okay, okay, I'm coming. I just wanted to let them know they don't have to rush."
Warriors smiled at him and let Legend push him toward the stairs.
"Your rooms are the three at the far end of the second floor, and the first right hand door on the third."
“Their room is on the third, if you wanna avoid it,” Wind sneered. Hyrule pinched his ear and Legend flipped him off before managing to successfully shove Warriors into the stairwell.
"Are you really alright?" Warriors asked, slipping an arm around Legend’s body. ".....You look exhausted, love...."
Legend hummed. “No one got hurt, but… haven’t been sleepin’ well recently. Barely got any ‘n past few days… Nightmares… ‘N I have a hard time without you...”
"....Me too. When I turn over and you're not there, it's--.... it's cold, you know? But more than cold."
Warriors kissed his temple as he led up to their room, and produced a spare key for Legend in case he wanted to get up and get breakfast before Warriors woke later on, unlocking the door with it before slipping the key into Legend's waist pouch.
"Come sleep with me, okay...? We'll actually get some rest for once."
Legend nodded, and after the door closed, he let Warriors unbuckle his belt and open his tunic. Legend would have dropped them on the floor, but Warriors laid them over the back of a chair, along with his scarf.
“Stays and boots off,” he instructed, and Legend complied with barely an insubordinate tongue sticking out in return. Warriors chuckled at him fondly as he climbed into bed and reached for him, trying to snag the hem of his shirt as he changed into something softer.
“Love you…” Legend murmured. “C’mere…”
"Your wish is my command," Warriors hummed, settling in once he was changed himself, and nestling up under Legend’s chin. His hands pressed gently against Legend’s side and his back, and Warriors took a minute just to breathe in the smell of Legend’s presence. "I love you more..."
Legend would have protested if he hadn’t been so damn tired, so all Warriors got was a (frankly adorable) grumble as the younger hero slung his arms around him and pressed his cheek against the golden hair at his crown. Warriors could feel the tension leaving him as he relaxed, and with Legend’s steady heartbeat under his ear, he could finally breathe easy enough to relax too.
"......Goddesses, we're such anxious wrecks," he laughed after a minute. "Fuck me sideways..."
"Mmh. Maybe tomorrow."
Warriors snorted, then kissed his neck before settling again.
"Sleep well for me, love.... My night depends on it."
…..Legend tried his best. He did.
There were flashes of the desert, of a different era’s Hyrule Castle, of the shade of a king and a jaded prince taking the throne from a corrupt queen, a furious Sheikah founding a rogue organization, and an old, bitter sorcerer with a young face making a deal he couldn’t refuse. Then, dark, choking mists of acid, plants and grass melting at their feet as they advanced, searching, hunting--
Legend shot awake, gasping as phantom pain shot through his arms and back along old, white scars that coiled and branched off like vines through his blood vessels in place of the stinging, corroding pain of acid from his dream.
He didn’t even hear Warriors calling his name until the pain receded to a strong, but not overwhelming ache.
It was dark, he could hear rain hitting the shutters of the windows, and he could feel the storm in his hands and knees and hips.
“Link…” he managed, in an effort to let his partner know he was alive.
Warriors loosed a gasp of relief and worry, and then pulled Legend tight to his chest.
"Y-you were wailing," the captain said, tripping over his words, "a-and crying for me-- are you okay?"
“Sorry…” he rasped, trying to get his bearings. Gods, his throat was raw and he could feel sweat rapidly cooling on his skin in the chill the rain brought. It’d be nice if he could flex his hands at all, or move his anything without it hurting. “I-I ruined your sleep, didn’t I?”
"To hell with my sleep, y-you're in pain, aren't you? Is it the storm? ....Fuck, where'd I put my potion bag--"
“‘S okay, don’t rush… Potions don’t help a lot when there’s nothin’ to heal, babe,” Legend muttered, sluggish even as a sense of urgency crept over him. “...Had a dream. Been having similar ones lately… I have a bad feeling about it.”
"....... Can you tell me about it?" Warriors asked. "You sounded like you were in agony, it scared me...."
Legend leaned into him as best he could. “O-old pain trying to come close to dream pain… It had a sorcerer in it, and a rogue Sheikah… Didn’t Wild say the Yiga from his era used to be Sheikah? This might have been the first of them… Something about Hylian royalty… I-I had prophetic dreams before my first quest…. This feels like those.”
".....A prophetic dream you have bad feelings about....?" Warriors grimaced. "....Should we wake up Sky and the sprite? If you're having prophetic visions, they might be too, but if they're not we can maybe rule out that there's an evil sorcerer on our case."
Legend wanted to ball his fists in Warriors’ shirt, but he couldn’t make his fingers do more than curl loosely. “If I could move, yeah, but that’s probably not going to be for a while… You could get them if you wanted.”
".......Later. When the storm passes, because I'm not leaving you."
Legend let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. “Thank you…. Come here and hold me? I’m cold…”
He didn't have to ask Warriors twice. The captain practically wrapped himself around Legend, and pulled in close and tight.
"I've got you, love. I'll keep you warm."
Legend kissed whatever part of Warriors was closest, which happened to be his jaw. “....You’re wonderful…”
….Something nagged at him, though. Warriors hadn’t been a part of his dream that he could remember, but…
“Hey… You said I called out to you…?”
"Yeah.... I think you were asking for help...."
“That… doesn’t bode well,” Legend grimaced. “Can you promise me something, though? I mean like actually promise, no matter the circumstances.”
"......You're scaring me a little.... What is it...?"
“Don’t throw yourself in front of anything for anyone. Not even me. Don’t do reckless bullshit that would get yourself hurt instead of others. That’s not to say you can’t defend anyone, just… don’t jump in where you know you’re gonna overextend and get hurt as a result. Does that make sense? I know that’s both specific and not at the same time, but I can’t explain it. I just… have a feeling. Promise you’ll be careful about that?”
"Don't do something reckless that'll get me killed out of some white knight complex and lack of self preservation? Is that what you want from me?"
Legend tried to shrink further into Warriors’ chest. “....Yes….”
"......You're asking me for quite the tall order," Warriors hummed, pressing kisses against Legend’s temple. "Aren't I supposed to be your dashing knight in shining armor, astride a white horse, keeping all the scary monsters at bay?"
He was trying for humor, but humor wasn't a given promise.
Legend huffed, but the kisses were sweet and he liked the attention. “Yes, and I know that’s a whole personality archetype for you, but Link… I’m worried. Please. This wasn’t in my dream, but it’s got the same feeling. Can you promise me that you won’t do something stupid like that?”
"I--"
Warriors hesitated.
".....Legend-- if something happened to you--"
“No, no, that’s not relevant. Link. We carry fairies and spells and items as countermeasures so if we do get into a dire situation like that, we’ll survive and not have to endanger anyone else in the process. There would be no need for you to risk yourself like that, which is why I want you to promise me you won’t. Hyrule has the goddamn triforce. I’m sure if something were to happen to one of us, there would be some way to help that wouldn’t involve you needlessly throwing your life away. Especially if it’s me, who has items so overpowered that I don’t use them, but keep them in reach so if I need to, I can…. You’re not making me feel good about this.”
"......You didn't hear what you sounded like tonight.... I'm sorry, I just-- ....There's not a whole lot worse than having someone you love screaming for you to help them and being helpless... I don't want to repeat that when there's someone trying to kill us."
Legend scowled, then gave a long sigh. “...We also have three partners at home. We have to think about them too. Minimum number of people getting hurt…”
He… felt like he wasn’t going to get his answer at this rate. Goddamnit.
"............That could also go for you, you know.... but that isn't what you want me to say."
Warriors sighed.
".......If you promise not to get into a situation I feel like you won't come home okay in, I won't do anything stupid. Deal....?"
….That was also a hard thing to guarantee. But…
“I’ll try my best. Deal,” Legend said with a note of finality. “...Now kiss me to seal it. We’re making a contract.”
Warriors smiled and tilted up Legend's chin with his fingers, and pressed a soft, but long, luxuriant kiss against his mouth.
"I love you, love.... Please, goddesses above, get some rest..."
Legend stole another kiss because he needed it. “And I love you, Sir Knight… I’ll try, if I can. Tired…”
".... Should I sing for you...?"
When Legend looked up, Warriors wasn't looking at him, and instead trained his eyes on a particularly interesting lump on the old earthen wall as his ears burned.
"Y-y'know.... t'help you sleep...."
Goddesses above, Legend was smitten. Every day he fell a little bit harder for this man.
He kissed Warriors’ cheek. If his hands worked, he’d be tempted to stroke those beautiful, flushed ears and run his fingers over the scarred edge of his left one. “...I’d love that, baby.”
"M'kay..... Tell. No one. Okay?"
“Why would I? This is just for me. Wouldn’t wanna share it with anyone else…”
"Three reasons. Guess their names."
Legend grinned. “Why wouldn’t you want them to know? They’re our partners, we love them. Two are very musically gifted and would love it. While cute, you’re also being silly.”
"Mhhhhhhh because!! It makes me self conscious and people used to stare.... A-anyway, are you gonna hush and let me, o-or what??"
Warriors’ face was so, so red, and Legend was having some very dangerous thoughts about proposing marriage. Nonetheless, the younger hero conceded.
“Gods above, I’m so in love with you. Okay, yes, I’ll be quiet,” he said, tucking himself more comfortably into Warriors and the pillows.
Warriors kissed him again, and sighed, letting his thumb rest on Legend's cheek, the circles it ran over his skin serving as his metronome. A gentle lullaby brought Legend back to gentle shorelines, warm sand and easy, soft sunlight. It nestled him against merchants fabric that smelled lightly of spice and fairy dust, to old books with knowledge ancient and timeless. It brought him round to soft white linen and blue silk, and rocked him gently on the heels of someone taller than he was, pulling Legend over to a gentle heartbeat.
It brought him home even though home was a thousand miles and goddess only knew how many years away from now.
There was something to be said for song magic, because Warriors was doing it, whether he intended to or not. Legend could feel the intent of a spell woven into his voice. It made him feel warm and safe, eased the pain and fatigue of his body, and relaxed him enough that he immediately started to drift off, awash in the calm sea of Warriors’ voice.
He was out like a light.

Why Modern Cartoons is Not Great as it Used to be in this Decade
As 2010′s draw near to the end and begin a next-generation, cartoons have changed from being a fun episodic adventure with a meaningful message and can get dark sometimes to a story-driven show with deep messages. While cartoons have a great start in early 2010s such as Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gravity Falls, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, however as time passes cartoons are becoming less interesting and not many aren’t talking about it. So what the hell happened with modern cartoons? Let’s get to the bottom of what happened to this decade of cartoons and why isn’t anyone talking about it anymore
The Animation Quality
The quality of the animation of cartoons back in 2000′s were amazing, so many variations of animation styles that look very appealing such as
Samurai Jack
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends
Recess
Proud Family and so many more
But now in modern cartoons, most cartoon shows are using a similar style of animation which many people called it “Calarts style”. Most cartoon shows are using because it’s cheap however it takes away creativity, more detail nor being organic. Look at Infinity Train, compare from the pilot to the release
It looks very boring having most cartoons look the same. Then there’s artistic freedom where creators let them draw whatever they want such as Steven Universe and OK KO. That sounds good but really though it just looks lazy and unprofessional. This is very distracting that most characters go off-model every scene like why Rebecca and Ian-Jones Quarry think it was a good idea!
Great to Below Average
So now let’s talk about the three shows that were once popular Steven Universe, Voltron, and Star vs The Forces of Evil. The trope I’ve been seeing as of late about these shows that it was pretty hype and they deliver on that. All they need to do is conclude it and call it a good cartoon but then crash and burned in later seasons.
Steven Universe didn’t get popular until “Jailbreak” and that was when everyone was watching it. It had character development, an interesting world of gems, a gorgeous background and has one of the best soundtracks. This isn’t surprising because the creator is the same person who wrote Marceline episodes in Adventure Time which was Rebecca Sugar that created the series. Then season 4 and season 5 happened which the show drop in quality like mostly the show prefer showing filler which makes the plot go too fast and made arcs underwhelming, crystals gems and Lapis Lazuli and Peridot aren’t being used that much in the show and having each villain being beaten by simply talking to them. While there is Steven Universe Future but that hasn’t gotten interesting in my opinion.
Star vs The Forces of Evil is a show used to be interesting for the two seasons and “Battle for Mewni” arc but then shipping drama got out of hand and that resulted to fell from grace
Then there’s Voltron and we all how that turned out for the last two seasons
What these three have in common that they set up this interesting premise and world in the first few seasons but they all went downhill. Awful character writing, insane plot twist, and terrible pacing. I did wish that those shows would get better like how Adventure Time and Regular Show had one bad season but after that, they both got better but they didn’t and it went from being great to disappointingly average.
Comedy Over Messages
Now that’s got the most hype shows, let’s talk about shows that not many people talk about because the premise and world aren’t engaging enough to watch and which they are We Bare Bears, Craig in the Creek, Clarence, OK KO, and The Loud House. While I’m not saying they aren’t bad but it is just not interesting to watch, it's just that it’s too tame and too comedic. The main issue I have it doesn’t really teach viewers like they used to anymore
OK KO was about to talk about gun violence but they turn it into a comedy. In “Let’s Not Be Skeletons” people overuse the gun and resulting everyone to turn skeletons and KO tries to stop it but fails. By the end of the episode, it was a dream and calls Congress to stop it from happening. I really hate how writers of this episode of making a serious issue turn into comedy and that’s a pretty awful way of doing it.
Look at Static Shock and Fat Albert, instead of making Gun Violence a joke, they talk about how serious it is by having someone shot and that devastated the characters a lot
Then there's Hey Arnold, it really dives into serious issues such as
“Pigeon Man” showcases that some people are meant to be with other people while others like Pigeon Man are just different and can’t be with other people.
“Helga on the Couch” showcases Helga's anger issues and those issues manifest because her family ignores her because of her sister. Never truly cares for like no makes her lunch for school and no one brought her to school when she was a young girl. The only person that cares for was Arnold.
Then there’s my personal favorite, “Arnold Christmas”. Mr. Hyunh is always sad at Christmas and this episode revealed that he had a daughter and all he wanted was to see her grow up but there was a war coming near his village. In order to do so, he had to give her up so she can have a better life. It took 20 years to get out of the country and he almost gave up hope to find her until Helga helped Arnold to search for her and be reunited with her father.
Modern cartoons don’t show those kinds of messages anymore and there’s something worse than that and I hate how cartoon shows keep doing this.
Today’s Villains
I” ve been seeing a lot lately that the main antagonist isn't handled well in cartoons as of lately. Most villains have been getting redeemed lately and not paying their crimes. While show creatures try to make them sympathetic and the victim however it doesn’t excuse them for their crimes.
White Diamond who caused multiple mass genocide on worlds, brainwash any gem that stands in her way and shatter gems gets easily defeated by simply getting talk to and just not gonna do it anymore because Steven said so.
Mina Loveberry and her Mewni soldiers wanted to destroy monsters. When her and her army magic depleted, she just goes in the wilderness and no one stopped her.
Moon Butterfly helped Mina create her soldiers so she can retake the throne from Ecipsa. Instead of having the monsters and her surrendering the throne that she was attending to do, however, her plan backfired when Mewni Soldiers and Mina wanted to kill all the monsters. Why didn’t Moon saw that coming, they were clearly racist against them. Then by the end of the show, she never once apologized for what she has done.
Starlight Glimmer created a cult that no one has cutie marks until the mane six defeated her in “Cutie Map” She returns and her revenge on Twilight by going back in time and making sure Rainbow Dash doesn’t perform the Sonic Rainboom. After multiple going to multiple timelines, she finally catches up to her and then her tragic backstory been revealed and it was very disappointing. The reason she caused all of this because her friend moved away and that’s it. That’s not all, instead of her facing her crimes like most villains such as Tirek or Queen Chrysalis, she gets off the hook and she became friends with Twilight in a matter of minutes
A good example of a good antagonist is Aku from Samurai Jack. When he first appeared in the show, he’s pure evil, destroying anything that stood in his way and ruling over the weak but as the show progresses, the serious villain became more comedic villain but that doesn’t mean he’s a silly character, he’s far from that. He’s still all-powerful and should be taken seriously. This is what I want from a villain. He’s powerful, he’s truly evil and has a personality.
Villains can be sympathetic and relatable however shouldn’t be forgiven so easily. When a character crosses the line by taking multiple innocent lives should never be redeemed, even if they have a sad backstory
Cartoons lately have become less popular in this past decade, the glaring problems about cartoons are its animation, comedy over messages, messy plots, and terrible villain. People will only talk about cartoons from the late ’80s to 2012. I’m afraid that this day of age that it isn’t appealing anymore than in previous years. The only animation that people will talk about is anime shows which I can’t lie, is far superior to cartoons as of now. I feel that the only way it can make it back on top is it needs something like Adventure Time or Gravity Falls moment that reinvent it more relevant and view to modern audiences. I really do like to watch cartoon shows for animation, message, and characters but I keep seeing issues in modern cartoons and I hope that it will change in the future.

The “Momma Sturmvoraus was Literally Satan” AU
As requested by @spazzbot. This AU was initially brainstormed on the GG fanworks server almost a year ago. Specifically, on the first day of 2020.
[ID: a truncated discord message by “Miss Nixy, Gay for RoboLadies” posted 01/01/2020. The message reads “I need to sleep but please for the moment consider:” and ends there.]
So. Let’s get to it.
Satan took a human form because why not see what's going on topside, live like a human, and “Oh shit is this pregnancy? This is pregnancy. Fuck, that's a tiny human. Which is now half demon. Am I supposed to take care it? Wonder if retconing this form into that Valois family was a bad idea. They do have SO much money though, I get to live like a queen. I suppose another child shouldn't hurt, it wasn't that bad. Oh, he's cute, this is actually making sense, why humans do all the sinning. Not counting dear Aaronev's murders, of course, those are just evil, but I did search out the worst of the humans to pair myself to...”
This is literally just "Tarvek and Anevka's mom was low-key Satan on a bored “let's be human for a decade or two to see what happens” jaunt, consequences happen because these kids are LITERALLY half-demon and arguably anti-Christs."
Also it's just Very Funny for Tarvek, ineffectual sexy lamp fashion twunk extraordinaire, to be an antichrist
Jeff thinks he’s pretty. Jeff keeps describing features that don’t entirely make sense. (Jeff’s canon name is Karl Thotep but they spent so long unnamed that the server collectively named them Jeff.)
This is not a crossover with anything, btw. Ambiguously Pop Culture Satan just got bored and went to have babies with a serial killer.
They’re just kids! That are vaguely demonic. So. Moreso than the rest of the Valois.
Sometimes "mom" comes back from the dead and visits Anevka and Tarvek to impart Wisdom and possibly magic lessons The rooms always smell faintly of sulfur after that...
They try to put Anevka in the machine but SHE isn't hurt and the MACHINE just melts
So that's the end of that.
It's very awkward for everyone, but the paperwork isn't too bad. It's very easy to write "incidental fire began during late-fugue experimentation, resulted in fire spreading through six rooms and several casualties, including Prince Aaronev Wilhelm Sturmvoraus."
As per @atagotiak, “I feel like if we’re going in any way dimensional weirdness with thing, Tarvek got so good at exploring bc he could just clip through walls.”
With image provided by @thisarenotarealblog:
Tarvek in Paris: My dead mother keeps showing up in my dreams to tell me I need to seduce my way out of my problems and also she looks like Satan. Tarvek's Voltaire-Appointed Therapist: I still don't know what that means. Just like the last five times. Tarvek: I keep telling her that I can’t seduce Colette, if seduction is that important she should get Anevka to do it.
Like he probably wouldn’t say most of that in front of any Voltaire-approved individual, but still.
Tarvek is still very good at self control but there's a Special Edge to his rants.
(Derailed in the moment to me thinking about Anevka in a sfw-but-concerningly-deadly succubus getup, because... yeah.)
Aaronev dies and goes to hell and his dead wife is just there like "hi! Time to be tortured for eternity!" He wasn't a good husband so. He can't exactly sentimentalize his way out.
“In the sexy way?” “... not for you, no.”
Mostly I just want the BULLSHIT that is "Storm Mom was actually just Satan getting bored and going on vacation as a retconned Valois girl, the kids are half-demons and sometimes it Shows."
To clarify: the Satan bit isn't the retcon. Grandma used to have one daughter. Now there are two. (Seffie and Martellus's mother doesn't remember being an only child, but sometimes...)
Satan retconned a new daughter in, which included a Valid Valois Venusian Vestment, so the blood tests play out.
The subtle signs of wrongness would be fun too. Anevka tends to smile a bit too wide and sharp for a human face. Inexplicable uneasiness, here you can’t point at any specific thing that’s wrong but it’s uncomfortable. Uncanny valley prettiness, almost like the porcelain she became in other timelines. Skin isn’t supposed to be that smooth.
My brain's pre-nap contribution at that point was "Satan's pronouns when not pretending to Human are sin/sinself" which is! Certainly a thing.
Tarvek, at some nebulous future point: I mean, your ancestors were monsters, but my dad was a serial killer and my mom was literally Satan, instead of just figuratively like Lucrezia, so. I mean. I kind of get what you're going through.
Per @firebirdeternal: Tarvek and Anevka growing up with "you're allergic to holy water" and not questioning it until a little later because What.
And then they test it and it's like "yeah, no, there's a rash now. That stung. What the fuck."
It INFURIATES Gil in Paris when Tarvek tells him that's a thing, because there's nothing chemically different about Holy water and regular water. But no, this is somehow happening.
It gets logged in medical journals as a Valois genetic thing because, well, Mom was like that too, right?
One time they both go into a church for an Adventure and Gil is very annoyed to find that Tarvek is like. Faintly smoking. It smells like burnt hair in here.
Gil: What smells like burnt hairgel? Tarvek: [glares]
Gil decides that it must be something particular to the church, like a fungus or something in the stone, contaminating the air and water so it only LOOKS like the holiness is what's setting off reactions.
It is not.
Tarvek once got into an argument with someone and ate a slab of raw, completely uncooked meat as a power move.
SVV seems to work perfectly. Everyone is fine. We get the ‘you fight like ducks’ moment.
And then Tarvek bursts into flames, and everyone panics because no they fixed this what the fuck is he still infected with Hogfarb’s oh my god... and then everything settles down and he's perfectly fine. Not a scratch on him, no longer turning funny colors. Completely unharmed. He's in a nicely tailored suit and looks faintly stunned
"I just met my dead mom, who's apparently Satan. She told me that after I died the first time just now, I should be harder to kill later, especially with fire, because now there's more demon and less mortal and guys I think I'm going crazy." "Is that a martini?" Tarvek looks down. "Apparently."
Tarvek starts just. Randomly setting things on fire by glaring too hard and has to tone it down. Meanwhile, Agatha and Gil are having crises about how he's somehow getting PRETTIER.
Is he faintly glowing? Maybe!
Gil handles it by angrily sniping at Tarvek about how of COURSE he's an evil little rat with a background like that.
Tarvek just wants a nap and to forget this ever happened. Many people are sworn to secrecy. It's very awkward.
Still, SVV did something, for handwave-y reasons, and so they're linked now. Gil and Agatha both getting tiny flashes of the same shenanigans.
They get none of the powers. They just keep getting Weird Shit.
Other characters with divine influence are like "Did you.... did you make a pact with a demon?" "What no that's our boyfriend."
Tho tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if a Heterodyne did sign a contract with a demon at some point in exchange for like. Materials. A hundred souls sacrificed in exchange for some succubus blood. Thanks!
Tarvek and Othar: Falling out of CW as in canon. Tarvek: WHAT THE HELL SINCE WHEN DO I HAVE WINGS HIDE THIS BEFORE I GET BOOTED FROM THE LINE FOR THE THRONE
IDK where Anevka is during all this. I think she might have decided to go sleep her way through the courts of the Ice Tsars. Vacation, y'know?
Othar after he's decided to make Tarvek his new Heroic Apprentice: AH, my poor afflicted young friend, it's noble of you to go against the dark nature of your tragic heritage like this. Tarvek: I hate you. I wish I could hate you to death. But you have a point. I shouldn't let my father's blood limit what I strive for in life. Othar: I... I thought your mother was... Tarvek: I know what I said.
Tarvek: Also you can't tell ANYONE about that, I can't have them thinking I'm not actually in line for the Storm King's throne.
He does admittedly have to like. Explain things to Grandma.
Terabithia is Tarvek’s maternal grandmother so this is supremely awkward. That said...
Grandma fondly remembers her pregnancy cravings; bone marrow and sulfur.
"Yeah so, my mother, your daughter, was... maybe actually Satan? But retconned into your life?" "Tarvek, darling, please. I figured that out half a century ago."
TARVEK ACCIDENTALLY FINDS HIM HIMSELF WEIRDLY INTENSE AT CONTRACTS
I mean that honestly just Tracks about Tarvek anyways? But like moreso.
He just. Writes something up and there's things getting signed or shook on and then the person tries to break the contract and either suddenly catch fire or are deeply unlucky for a set amount of time.
And Tarvek's just standing there like "how in the FUCK did I do that?"
Severity of infernal punishment depends on the severity of the breach of contract.
Tarvek finds out that Anevka's been convincing rich people to sign their souls over to her. It's a fun challenge. She keeps them in jars.
They can still remotely pilot their bodies but like. They can't TELL anyone what happened.
Satan: I'm going to go make babies and now everyone else has to deal with the consequences.
Anevka's living up to that whole "princess of hell" vibe. Tarvek's just like "nope nope nope I want the storm throne, not the hell throne, BYE MOM."
Satan's just feeling sinself down in hell like "awwww look at my babies go, aren't they adorable?"
Tarvek: Anevka, what... first off, how did you figure it out? Anevka: Well, I temporarily died when father put me in the machine, and... I can't say that hell kicked me out because they were afraid I'd take over, but mother DID say she'd rather I play about with human governments instead of Hell's. Tarvek: Okay, cool cool cool. What after you planning to DO with all these souls? Anevka: They make for some lovely reading lamps, don't they?
(Anevka absolutely sets herself the goal of acquiring new titles that rival her old ones, or even surpass them. She just black widows her way through Europa.)
I just want someone (probably Snackleford) to ascend, take one look at Tarvek, and run SCREAMING.
Tarvek still needed to be anchored to Higgs, because Tarvek is Baby.
Gil is eventually in a relationship with an Eternal God Queen and the Literal Son of Satan.
Family dinners can include ALL the in-laws if you duck down to hell! - You borrow Bill from... probably heaven, maybe purgatory. - You have Lu and Aaronev and Satan already there, though the first two... well. Aaronev and Lu get invited to dinner but they have to eat by themselves at the kiddy table and nobody talks to them or acknowledges their presence. After all, this is hell, and what better punishment for Lu than to be completely ignored, and for Aaronev to see Lu at her worst and be reminded that he gave everything for this horrible, horrible person who isn't even pretending to care about him anymore. - Zanta and Klaus get invited via portal. - Anevka saunters in with a blood-soaked dress and a complaint about militant demon-hunters refusing to let her go shopping for a new pair of shoes. - Zeetha tagged along with the OT3. (She can't wait to see this situation explode.)
Oh God, Satan is actually second place as far as good parenting goes.
Well, actually, fourth. Because Adam and Lilith. But second as far as bio parents go. 1. Zanta 2. Satan 3. Klaus 4/5. Lu and Aaronev N/A. Bill
Someone (Anevka) decides to stir the pot and invites Von Pinn, Terabithia, Bang.
Bang is basically Gil’s older sister, right? Right.
This is Zanta meeting Bang for the first time! Zanta is just: "It's so nice to meet my husband's adopted daughter." Klaus freezes. Bang freezes. Gil is the only one who is just. "Yeah." Meanwhile Zeetha is crying with laughter off to the side because both of them deserve this. (Zanta would legit love Bang though.)
Agatha: Tarvek, I think DuPree is-- Tarvek: Hitting on my sister? I know. Agatha: On your mom, actually. Tarvek: NO!
Also I do love the idea of like. Nobody tells Bang they're inviting her. She just wakes up in Hell like. "Ah. Yes. Fair enough."
Satan: Oh no no no my dear, you're here as a guest. Besides as well as you'd fit you're not one of mine, you've got other things waiting for you. Bang: Okay, but I love the decor. And is that Cheesecake?
Bang’s family has their own evil god in the novels, but! Bang DID pick on Tarvek a lot in Paris. Satan cares more than Anevka does. Bang might get the sexy punishment.
I feel like the fact that no permanent damage was done and it taught Tarvek a lot of things means Satan isn't gonna be all that upset about it.
And let's be real, if there's a character in GG who could look the literal Christian devil in the eye and be like "Yeah I tortured your kid, what're you going to do about it?" it's Bang.
Even Satan doesn't know what to do or think about Othar.
He sure is here! As Anevka’s arm candy! Nobody knows what to do except Anevka herself, who just wants to be Smug.
(What's that scene from Phineas and Ferb that's the mad scientist trapping the platypus within the rules of polite dining at a fine restaurant? Like he can't make a scene because that would be rude?) (That. Othar would dearly love to start a fight, but it's a Family Dinner. You're only allowed to fight verbally at those.)
(Othar isn't even fighting Satan, he just wants to argue with Klaus.) (And maybe fanboy in Bill's direction a bit).

Hell-bound with you
Fandom: Doctor Who
Pairing: Doctor x Reader
Summary: You are the unwilling companion of the Doctor.
Warning: ooc, plot holes as usual, dark!doctor, insanity, etc. You have been warned.
A/N: I hope this post show up in search result just fine. The part four of my other fic I posted at the end of last month just won’t show up in any search result, tags not working. I hope this one work okay.
I watched in amusement from my spot as Jack tried to summon the Doctor but failed instead, he kept getting her companion. I couldn't help but laughed at the old man expression when Jack kissed him in the mouth.
I was surprised when the old man, Graham, revealed that the Doctor is now a woman. Jack is giddy with excitement as he wanted to see the Doctor so much. But he kept pulling in the companion instead. Yaz and Ryan.
Eventually Jack realized that the judoon technology is the reason why he can't pull the Doctor to him. Personally, I was grateful that the Doctor is not here. I wouldn't want to catch his - i suppose now - her attention. I admit I am a bit curious about how she looks like. The Doctor's first time as a woman, I wonder how she will act.
My attention snapped back at Jack as he warned the companion about the lone cyberman. It was all very cryptic.
Turned out the companion has never encountered a cyberman before so they understandably are confused.
Both Jack and I had suffered together in the short time since we met and you know what they said about forming a close bond during a life and death situation. It makes us comrade.
Jack knew some stuff about me that I would never tell anyone. I am so grateful that I met him while stranded in this alternate universe.
Of course, it just my bad luck to have landed in a time period where cybermen overrun the world. I was lucky I met Jack. It would take me forever to sort thing out otherwise. I shuddered at the thought of being taken by cybermen for conversion.
I didn't know what to think of the companion because I didn't know of them. I didn't know of the newest incarnation of the Doctor being female either. There were rumor floating around about it but I missed her first season on the account of finding myself suddenly existed within the impossible DW universe.
I hated it. It wasn't fun. And I ended up ruining the Doctor's timeline. I had to run from him when he changed into that monster. Oh, I know he would come looking for me sooner or later. He would never let me go just like that. Misery loves company and all of that. Some part of him did blame me for changing him, I just know it.
But running away and found myself stranded in another DW universe isn’t exactly how I planned my escape. The upside of being here is that I’m finally free of that person.
I heard an amused chuckle within my mind and I frowned. Right, I guess technically I am still haunted by that person. I glared at the bow-tied figure that only I can see, a proof of my insanity. I tried to ignore him and his unwanted commentary on whatever it is Jack and I did.
This particular universe thankfully still follow the canon, I think. I don't know if it will be a blessing or a curse my escape being here, knowing my luck it will ended up as another curse. I do know one thing, this time I have to avoid the Doctor at all cost. It will be hard, I'm sure, as I felt it so many times before back then, someone pulling the string and play on me like a puppet. Of course, no one believe me, not even that person.
I didn't know the future of the Thirteenth Doctor but I will still be a threat to her should she realized what I am. That's what happened with that person. He insisted that I stay with him and everything has gone wrong ever since.
I tried not to think about that person and his now-never-happened future courtesy of me, of my presence, in his life.
"(Name)?"
I snapped out of my trance as Jack called out to me in concern.
"Is it him?"
I blinked when I realized I must have been talking out loud and thus gaining Jack and the companion’s attention. "I'm fine."
Jack gave me a look that said he didn't believe my bullshit.
I ignored him. I noticed the companion are staring at me as if I was insane. I held back a frustrated laugh. Well, I am insane, somewhat.
Jack introduced me to them. “This is (Name). She is with me.”
"Is she a friend of the Doctor too?" Graham asked Jack.
"Well..."
"No." I firmly said as I glared at him in warning. "Oh, just shut up." I glared at an empty space on my left.
The companion stared at me warily.
“err, did she just talk to an empty space?” Ryan asked.
“Yeah, she does that.” Jack replied, not taking his eyes off me.
I tried to focus on Jack and the companion. I rubbed my forehead, feeling a headache forming.
Jack's frowned as he observed me. "She's...complicated." He suddenly yelled in pain as the nano-genes started to attack him. He complained very loudly.
I was worried for him. "It’s time. We should leave here, Jack." I said as I grabbed him. “You already did your part, warning them.”
"You are right but there is...” Jack groaned. “...one more thing, (Name), you are not coming with me."
"What?! What the hell are you talking about?" I punched his arms in annoyance.
Jack rubbed his arms and give me a look. "You should go with them and stay with the Doctor."
I was pissed. I thought he understand. "No. You..."
"I know what you think of her but I still think you would be safer with her than with me. Also, maybe she could help you with him." Jack replied, turning to glance at the space I have been staring at before despite not being able to see what I see.
"Like hell, I'm not going! And you can't make me!" I yelled petulantly.
The companion stood there looking confused at our argument.
Jack let out a sad smile. "I'm sorry, (Name)." He took my hand that is on his arm and let it go.
I blinked in confusion and annoyance. I was momentarily distracted and Jack took that opportunity to activate the vortex manipulator on my person and I suddenly blip out of the ship and found myself on Earth instead.
7777
I almost lost my balance as I landed harshly. I cursed loudly.
I saw the Doctor's companion materialized not too far from me.
"Son of a..." I growled. "That damn head jar!!" I cursed Jack. "Shut it!" I snapped on the empty space near me.
The companion stared at me warily.
I groaned in annoyance.
"We should go find the Doctor." Yaz suggested.
"Yeah, you guys go ahead. I'm out of here." I said.
"But I thought that Jack fellow said that you should stay with the Doctor?" Ryan asked.
"Ignore that cheeky bastard's words!" I said and then stopped myself. "Except about the cyberman. That was true. Alright, I'm leaving." I waved at them and left despite their protests.
Screw Jack. He is not the boss of me.
7777
I walked without a purpose as I ponder over what I have to do next now that Jack has abandoned me. Like hell, I’m sticking around to see the Doctor no matter how curious I am of the female Doctor.
“He’s right, you know, you would be safer if you stay with the other Me.” He said.
I glared at him. “And what? Risking of her turning out like you because of me?”
“I think you give yourself too much credit. I was always going to turn out this way sooner or later. Valeyard, remember?”
“But you are not the Valeyard.”
“Yet.”
“And that’s what make it worse. I did this to you. I turned you...”
“Victorious. That’s what I am, thanks to you. It wasn’t that bad.” He said with a shrug.
“You burned down planets!”
“I did that once in a while. You know this." He is referring to Gallifrey. "Besides, you know they deserves it.” He said as a dark expression crossed his features.
“We lost Clara. I wouldn’t call that victorious!!”
“And we avenged her.”
I was ashamed that it was the truth. I did help him to avenge Clara’s death. In fact, I was the one who urged him to do it because I couldn’t accept her death. They haven’t even done Trenzalore yet. And now they never will. Because of me, Bow-tie won’t even get a new set of regeneration. But considering how he turned out, am I doing the world a favor by limiting his life to his eleventh self? Now he will not get the chance to regenerate into Eyebrow. Or did I just make it worse? Like he implied, he is very well on his way into becoming the Valeyard.
“I am curious about the Doctor of this universe.” Victorious pondered. “I have never regenerated into a woman before. I was on my last regeneration right now."
I tensed at that. I kept reminding myself that the person in front of me is not quite real so even if he did figures out the truth, there is nothing he can do about it. No Clara, no new regeneration. Unless he made me fill her shoes, play her role so to speak on Trenzalore. I hope not. Well, I had escaped him, somewhat.
The real Victorious probably was too busy right now to ponder about the calling of Trenzalore. And knowing him now, he might actually let Trenzalore burns.
I think I bought enough time for myself so it might take him a while to locate me especially since I have a bio-damper ring on my person to hide the void stuff that apparently covered me when I first arrived in DW universe. With the ring, he won't be able to track me down easy. It also help hid my presence from the Doctor of this universe too.
I sighed as I stared at my 'companion', the one only I can see, an accidental result after some weird mind meld with the Doctor.
When I first took a glimpse of him the first time I was stranded in this alternate universe, I thought he was somehow in my head, then I beginning to question my sanity, creating a shadow figure of the Doctor in my headspace. Seemed like I could never be free of the Doctor. Part of me believed I deserved it, to be haunted by the Doctor that I ruined.
Sometimes I really thought he is the Doctor when he suddenly said things that sounded like something the Doctor will says. And then he is being all sarcastic with his unwanted commentary on everything I do and...meh I thought of him as a figment of my imagination designed as my personal demon to torture myself. But, weirdly he does know information that I could not possibly know, things that the Doctor or some other screaming genius might know but not little stupid, ordinary Me. There is no way if he is a hallucination created by me for him to know those complicated stuff. Anyway, thanks to that, Jack trusted me, I did save his life, both our life actually, by following the advice of the shadow Doctor.
Jack believe me albeit a bit reluctantly at first and eventually did trust me enough to watch each other back through hell and back. It was all very dramatic but also rewarding as we formed a friendship. Unfortunately, he's loyal to the Doctor hence he disbelieved me when I said I am bad for the Doctor, he still somewhat believe the Doctor is the answer to fix everything that could go wrong, even though he should know better.
I groaned as I ponder on what to do now. I understand the truth in Jack's words that I might need the Doctor of this universe help should Victorious able to track me down to this universe. But I am also right about my presence around the Doctor never bode well. So you see my dilemma?
Thankfully the Doctor and her companion never look for me. I guess she is not curious enough with me.
Back then as I watched the first two episode of season 6, I found it weird that bow-ties who supposedly adores children, didn't bother to look harder for little Melody Pond after she escaped the astronaut suit. Maybe there is some additional information about it from DW book or the audio-book but I never got my hands on them.
Anyway this is good. It would be troublesome if she did decided to track me down.
7777
I thought I covered my track very well but the time bounty hunters somehow able to track me down at some black market in some random planet. It was weird but it seemed the Tardis translation circuit still work on me even if I am not anywhere near the Tardis. Or maybe it is thanks to that annoying 'companion' of mine?
I'm following the advice of the shadow Doctor to find an equipment to, as he said he will indulge me for now, hide me better. I used my vortex manipulator given by River a long time ago at the Library. She taught me how to use it so that I won't accidentally kill myself while using it.
Anyway after I purchase the said equipment and before I could use it per the shadow Doctor's instruction, the hunters found me.
Honestly I hope the self defense lesson I got from River and then Jack would be enough to at least help me escape my pursuers. I thought I did good but they still found me.
That's when the shadow Doctor 'helpfully' told me that I had a tracking chip somewhere inside my body courtesy of the real him. That bastard. Putting a tracking chip without my knowledge or permission like I am some freaking pets.
I glared at him angrily.
He grinned in amusement. "Hey, technically it wasn't me who did it."
"Close enough..." I muttered.
He told me the equipment I purchase earlier should destroy the chip into dust inside me without harming me in the process. Removing the chip would be better but without the correct equipment and a professional medical knowledge, it would be too dangerous.
But before I could use it, they found me again. I was at some random abandoned building. One of them broke my wrist as I fought him. I screamed in pain.
"Hey, don't hurt her! He won't be pleased!"
"She won't stop struggling! She bites me!"
I groaned in pain as they pushed my whole body on the wet floor.
"She is not to be harmed in any way." Someone said. "The client is very specific about that one. He need her for something. He is willing to pay so much for her."
My eyes widened in fear as I realized they are not planning to take me back to Victorious. That would be even worst. Are their client some enemies of the Doctor who is trying to take me as hostage? Or do they after the knowledge I have of the Doctor? But there is no way someone could know. I was sure Victorious remove all threat on me.
I catches the glimpse of dark expression crossing the shadow Doctor's feature as he too listen to what the men had said.
"Who even is she? Why do they willing to pay so much for her?"
"Don't you know? She's the consort of that guy, the Doctor."
I rolled my eyes in disdain at that misinformation but made no move to correct them. There is no point.
"For real? But she is running from him? Why?"
"Have you been living under a rock? That man has gone insane. Who would in their right mind stay with him?"
"I heard the stories about him."
"Not stories."
"So, is it wise to betray him like this?"
"You assumed we got the job from him but we didn't. By the time we hand her over to the client and got our money, with this technology to cross over universe..." He glanced at the elaborate vortex manipulator on their wrists which you assumed they got from the said client. "we can make a new life in some other universe. He won't be able to find us."
The shadow Doctor chuckled coldly. "Whoever that client of their is, I know they are not stupid. To go after what is mine, they would have to take care loose end in order to remain undetected from me." He said as he observed the men. "That vortex manipulator probably has an expired date on it and more..."
He turned to look at me, kneeling before me with almost a bored look. "I did warned you that you would have been safer if you stay with the other me."
I glared at him. "Quit talking, do something." I hissed at him.
He smirked. "You didn't say please."
"Who is she talking with?" One of the men asked.
They hauled me up to face them.
"You are not very smart, are you?" I said with a smirk. "He is already here. The Doctor. Or should I say Victorious?"
They looked around nervously.
I pulled my sonic screwdriver, the one I stole from Victorious, and set out sonic sound, as instructed by him, that momentarily hurt everyone's ears but also caused some old hanging lamp to either explode or fell to the ground, causing chaos.
I ran immediately out of the building. Ignoring the growing pain in my wrist, I yelled at him to tell me how to use the equipment to destroy the chip. I moved the equipment to some spot of my neck and pulled the trigger.
I clamped my mouth as burst of hot fire pain filled me. I gasped as I fell to the ground. Tears filled my eyes. I felt so dizzy.
I distinctly heard him telling me to stay awake and ran. So I did albeit really slow.
Like I said before, someone or something seemed to be pulling the string on me because as I made my weak escape, I found myself face to face with the companion I met with Jack weeks ago and there is a woman with rainbow stripes on her clothing with them. The Doctor, my mind supplied.
Shit.
"It's you." Ryan whispered, seemingly surprised to see me.
"Doctor, she is the one we told you before. she was with Jack." Yaz explained.
The woman glanced at me in guarded curiosity. She walked toward me and opened her mouth to say something but I fainted right into her arms.
7777
I woke up inside the Tardis in the medical bay. How did I know that? He told me.
The Doctor, the female one, entered the room and smiled upon seeing that I already wake up.
I no longer feel any pain, not on my broken wrist and on my neck. I assumed she fixed that. And someone changed my wet dirty clothes with something comfortable.
I heard her yapping about the danger I put myself using the equipment she found with me. I didn't listen, still a bit too dizzy.
"Who are you?"
"(name)." I replied.
"Ok, (name), I'm the Doctor. My fam said you were with Jack and that he instructed you to stay with me?"
"He was wrong." I said bluntly. I forced myself to get up and stand up despite her protest. "I should leave."
"You can't. We are in the vortex. Also you were hurt. Who hurt you? Also who put a tracking chip inside you? You destroyed the chip using that equipment. Are you running from a prison? Did Jack broke you out of prison?"
I groaned and chuckled harshly. "You talk too much." I said as I clutched my pounding headache. "Prison, huh? I guess you could say that. Oh, shut up." I snapped at my right.
"Who are you talking with?" She observed me curiously. "The fam told me that..."
"I am a bit insane? That would be correct. Better stay away from me, doc." I said in derisive.
She glanced at me.
"Stop looking at me like that!"
"Like what?"
"Like I am some animal in a zoo."
"I am so sorry."
"For what?" I asked in confusion.
"For whoever hurt you like that." She whispered. "Yaz changed your clothes. She said you have scars on your arms, consistent with someone being restrained and being injected and also..."
"Stop." I glared at her menacingly. "That was private. None of your business."
She, thankfully, stopped talking about that topic. But she suddenly pulled my sonic screwdriver. "How did you get this?"
I took a deep breathe trying to calm myself over the fact that she and Yaz invaded my privacy. "It's mine."
"Not possible." She said firmly.
"Uh-oh, someone in trouble..." I heard him said in a teasing sing-song voice. I glared at him before turning to face her.
"Someone gave it to me." I lied. "Now give that back and let me leave." I demanded.
She shook her head as she took a step back. "Did you steal this?"
"Ding dong, she got it!" The shadow Doctor answered cheerfully much to my annoyance.
Fine, I'm going to give her some shock value. "River gave it to me, satisfied?"
The Doctor look shocked, her mouth dropped open. "You know River? River Song?"
"That was a low blow, (name)." The shadow Doctor whispered at me in disappointment.
"She was my friend." I spat. That wasn't a lie, technically. River was my friend but in the other universe, not in this one. "I'm sure you wouldn't know me, Doctor. She wouldn't talk about her friends with you. Mostly because you would not be interested."
The Doctor observed me, trying to spot the lie. She seemed satisfied to find none. But she is still suspicious though. "Why would she give you this?"
"For my protection. I will only know how to use it whenever I was in danger." That one is not a lie since the shadow Doctor only tell me how to use it whenever I need to escape danger.
She hummed at that, probably wondering if I ever misuse it. She didn't seem to keen of returning it though. At least she didn't confiscate the vortex manipulator.
"Jack vouched for me. Do you think he would send someone not trustworthy to you?" I said. The answer is yes, by the way, because that traitor Jack ignored my warning how I am not good for the Doctor's timeline. If I am to stay with her, predictably things will not be canon again and it will definitely be hell-bound.
The shadow Doctor chuckled at what I said.
The Doctor didn't say anything.
I raised an eyebrow. "I guess you don't trust Jack or do you only trust him when he is useful to you?" I asked in vicious tone. "Fine, keep the damn sonic screwdriver."
"Oh now you have done it. She is not going to let you leave now." The shadow Doctor helpfully informed. "That is my 'i-don't-trust-this-person-i-need-to-solve-what-she-is-hiding' look." He grinned gleefully.
I almost want to slap the jerk if not for the fact he is not really there so it is kinda pointless.
Resigned to the fact that I am stuck with the new Doctor, I am determined not to let her in my head. A mistake I made with bow-ties which in turn caused him to become Time Lord Victorious.
But I have no idea what the future hold for this version of Doctor and her companion. One thing for sure, the canon is about to go to hell, especially since I have no idea what to do and what to avoid doing.
"I think you should stay with me. I can help you with whoever after you. But I need you to trust me."
What a hypocrite. She doesn't even trust me. Why should I trust her?
"I don't want to intrude. Just dropped me back on earth at 2020." I said.
"Oh, bad year." The shadow Doctor supplied.
"I insist you stay here for a while. After all, isn't that what Jack want me to do? Welcome to the Tardis. It is..."
"I know what it is. River and Jack told me."
"Well then...if they trust you, I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt..." She smiled brightly. "Welcome aboard, (name). We are going to have adventure of the lifetimes."
If she think I would rejoice, she is sadly mistaken as I stared at her flatly, not impressed.
He chuckled at my expense.
The Doctor glanced at my unimpressed look, sighed. "Well, you are a tough one."
7777
And so I ended up becoming the Doctor's unwilling companion...again.
She re-introduced me with her fam and officially give me a room in the Tardis.
Yaz is wary of me but Ryan and Graham are nice and friendly.
And just like that I got pulled into their adventure. I tried to refused saying I'm feeling ill most of the time, preferring to stay behind but unfortunately the Doctor doesn't trust to leave me inside the Tardis.
Does she think I could drive the Tardis or something? Seriously...
7777
I was stuck in a nightmare. I was back with Victorious and he punishes me for escaping. He trapped me in a special room designed to punish me mentally. He always did know I am weak mentally. He was surprised that I could survive this long by luck alone.
I saw the laughing figure of a trickster, saying the joke is on me and...
I woke up to the concerned face of the Doctor, the female one.
I remembered now. I fell under the clutch of some wannabe gods from ancient Syria. They fed from people's nightmare.
The woman, Rakaya, glanced at me wickedly, saying I have some delicious nightmare.
The Doctor saves the day and able to trick the wannabe gods into eternal imprisonment.
At the end, as I sat with a blank expression on my face on the stairs at the console room, Yaz and Ryan approached me and asked if I want to talk about my nightmare.
I just said that I dreamed of being back in the room. They didn't push me for more. Yaz, being a police officer, probably suspected based on my scars, that the room was where I was imprisoned before.

Darn it.
Despite my determination not to get attached with the Doctor and the fam, I failed. Damn adventures and dangers and excitements, it does bound us closer with each other. I saved them, they saved me.
"Admit it, you miss this, didn't you? The adventures, dangers, excitements?" The shadow Doctor teased me. "You got used to it already."
"what about you?" I asked him. "Do you miss being the Doctor? Saving people and planets instead of destroying them on a whim?"
He was silent. For once, he left me alone. I think I hurt his feeling despite him being a hallucination.

Once I was almost taken by another bounty hunters, the Doctor rescued me and declared that I am under her protection and anyone who want to take me, will have to go through her first.
The oncoming storm expression on her face is enough to make them back off and I was left in peace.
The Doctor is not pleased that I still won't tell her the reason.
"You have your own secrets and I have mine. Respect that!"
"I can't protect you if you don't tell me the truth." The Doctor had said.
"Fine, let me leave. I can take care of myself!"
Both the Doctor and the shadow one snorted at me much to my anger.
The fam has to interfered with our arguments.
"Cool off, the both of you!" Yaz demanded.
Reluctant to leave for the next adventure but having no choice, I went with them. Another life-threatening incident passed with me rescuing Ryan, softened the Doctor and she apologies to me, sort of.

It finally happened. As Jack warned, the lone cyberman has come.
The Doctor asked me the thing that the cyberman after so I told him about the cyberium. Jack did told me about it in passing. He was part of the alliance, after all. I guess he told me about it because he always planned to dump me at the Doctor. I admitted I hold a grudge against Jack for this still.
The Doctor took me with her but instructed the fam and the rest to stay put. She asked me more about cyberium. I honestly don't know anymore but she kept pressing me, taking her frustration at me.
To be honest, she frighten me at that moment, reminding me of Victorious.
From the way the Doctor reacted when she explained about cyberman to the other, the shadow Doctor concluded that she must have lost someone to the cyberman.
Bill Potts, my mind supplied. I knew she was supposed to be the Doctor's companion after Clara. Since Bill is not here anymore, I can only assume she is the one the Doctor lost.
The Doctor raced against time competing with the cyberman called Ashad to get the cyberium before him.
She eventually figured out the cyberium is possessing one of the residents in the house. She managed to trick the cyberium into leaving its current host.
The cyberium is attracted to the Doctor for a host much to my horror as she started to blurt out something the Time Lord Victorious would say.
I saw the shadow Doctor glanced at the other Doctor in amusement and curiosity. His eyes darkened with the lust for power. At that moment, he look so much like the real Victorious I have to believe he is truly him, not a pale imitation of him.
He turned to look at me as he finally notice the look of dread on my face. "You see? The Doctor has always headed to this..." He said with a chilling smile. "It wasn't you who turned me, dearest (name)."
"Get away..." I whispered in fear. I snapped out of it and yelled at the other Doctor, "Doctor, don't!" at the same time as Yaz.
Thankfully, the Doctor snapped out of it too.
The lone cyberman threaten to destroy the planet right that second if the Doctor refused him the cyberium.
Having no choice, the Doctor give its back to him. I have failed Jack. I know she has no choice but this meant Jack and the alliance would be in danger again.
As we returned to the Tardis, the Doctor made a plan to go after that asshat, I mean, Ashad.
She prepared some machinery in order to fight against the cybermen armies. At least she is confidence she could win this.
I planned to go with her to help and rescue Jack and then I am going to slap the hell out of him.
7777
Of course, things just don't worked as well as the Doctor planned. We are in the far future where the last of the human race located. I couldn't find Jack or the alliance.
We are overpowered by the cybermen and got separated from each other. I ended up with Yaz and Graham while the Doctor is with Ryan.
Somehow we ended up in cybership with the cybermen armies in the middle of waking up.
We are trapped. Everyone is panicking. I heard Yaz tried to talk to the other Doctor via an unreliable communication device.
I turned toward the shadow Doctor. "Do something!"
He turned to me with a chilling smile. "I have taught you before, right?"
I swallowed down my fear. "Please..."
He sighed as if what I am asking him is too troublesome.
I jumped when the steel door started to shake some more under the constant attack from the cybermen.
"You remembered when you were taken from me by the Division?" He suddenly asked.
I remembered it. I was taken, my mind half lobotomized in order to gain access on what I know of the Doctor. I woke up to everyone in the building died. I assumed Victorious did it.
"I could activated the physic bomb I planted inside you."
"What?!" This is the first time I heard this. "What the hell is that? Why do you insist of putting things in me?" I lost it at him. I am furious, wouldn't you be?
"(name)!" Yaz called out to me in concern but I ignored her and the rest who thought I finally lost my marble.
"Oh chill out, it won't kill you, well, only temporally." He said as he played with his nails.
"Bastard!"
"If I activated the psychic bomb, you and everyone in this ship will died, well not you obviously, and the cybermen but they will lost all function for roughly an hour or more. Enough time for you to escape, well, once you are resurrected that is." He said.
"What about them?"
"What about them?" He parroted. He shrugged. "Not my concern."
"The hell with that! Save them too!" I demanded.
"I warned you not to get attached..." He sounded bored now.
"Find another way!"
"Why should I?"
"Please. You are the Doctor."
"I'm not the Doctor anymore, remember?"
"Fine, you are victorious! So prove it!! Save them and be victorious over the cybermen!!" I screamed at him, tears of desperation filled my eyes.
He took a look at me and relents. "Fine."
I let out a shaky relieved breath at his answer.
He instructed me to tell the mechanic of the bunch with me to remove some electrical thingies to support enough for teleportation for all of us to escape.
"It is not enough!" The mechanic said. "Only enough for four and there are seven of us!"
"If only someone has a sonic screwdriver..." The shadow Doctor said mockingly. "Guess you have some decision to make, little (name), which four gets to escape with their life."
I cursed the other Doctor for taking the sonic from me. To my surprise, Yaz pulled a sonic screwdriver from her bag.
"She told me to give it back to you." Yaz explained.
My mouth dropped open in shock. I laughed in near hysterical and turned to the shadow Doctor with a grin. "Tell me."
He sighed in exasperation. "Fine."
I used the sonic as instructed, giving the teleportation enough power to transport all seven. "Go!" I instructed Yaz and Graham and the rest to go first.
"What about you?" Yaz demanded.
"I have one last thing to do." I turned to the shadow Doctor as everyone left the ship. "Do it."
He glanced at me with a look and smiled. "Being a martyr?"
"Buying them some time. They are far enough not to get affected by the psychic bomb, correct?"
"Correct."
"And you are the one who said I will survived it so not a martyr."
He hummed. "You sure?"
"Do it."
"As you wish."
Just as the door crashed open, I screamed as he filled my head with so much pain it triggered the bomb creating a pulse of energy that sweep the cybermen off their feet.
I clutched my heart as it was rudely stopped.
The last thing I saw is the shadow Doctor hovering over me, muttering something I couldn't hear.
"I only ask because triggering the bomb would send a signal directly to him..." He said. "He is coming, (name). I am coming."

I slowly opened my eyes, found myself on the ground. "Oww..."
The Doctor and the fam are there, surprised to see me alive.
The Doctor scanned me with her sonic. "But...this is impossible." She blurted out. "You are only human, how can you...? You are immortal? Like Jack?"
"Ugh stop talking. Can I get some water please?" I pleaded.
Everyone stared at me weirdly but an old man thankfully gave me some water.
The Doctor still couldn't get over the fact that I survived and demanded to know what I have been hiding from him.
"Take it easy, doc, she did save our life." Graham said.
The Doctor relented.
"The cybermen..."
"Out of commission for now. How did you do that?" The Doctor asked.
"Tell you later."
She glanced at me. "You better." She said firmly before turned to Ko Sharmus who showed us to the Boundary and there a portal opened.
Both the Doctor and the shadow one blanched in horror when they recognized the ruins of Gallifrey.
And then some random guy leaped out of the portal.
"Master." I heard the Doctor spatted in disgust.
"What?" I accidentally yelled. Last time, to my knowledge, the Master is Missy, though? What happened to her?
"Like a pest...he just keep coming back, huh?" I heard the shadow Doctor said with a chuckle.
The Master demanded the Doctor to go with him. She refused at first. But when he threaten to kill the rest of us, she relented.
Reluctantly, she goes with the Master through the portal, instructing the rest of us to stay behind.
"Follow them." The shadow Doctor demanded.
I stared at him as if he has lost his mind.
"Do it!" The force of his words gave me headache.
"Oh, alright! Geez!" I glared at him in annoyance but did as I told and the pounding headache lessened just a bit.
Yaz and the other tried to stop me but I told them not to follow me.
The Doctor is enraged when she saw me. "What the hell? (name), get back out there!"
The Master is not pleased to see me either. "Control your pet, Doctor, or I will be forced to kill her."
I glared at the shadow Doctor at my predicament of having two very angry Time Lord. "I have no choice, okay!" I said to them.
The shadow Doctor chuckled and told me to say something for him intended for the Master.
"Like hell, I'm gonna say that. He is going to kill me." I refused as I glared at the empty space beside me much to the confusion of two still very angry Time Lord. He wanted me to call him by his name 'Koschei'. I clutched my head. "Oh, fine!!"
"You always have such a sort fuse, Koschei." I repeated word for word.
Both the Doctor and the Master flinched and glared at me suspiciously.
Great. Nice going. Is he planning to get myself killed?
"How do you know that name?" The Master demanded.
"He told me." I gesture to the empty space beside me.
The Master stared at the empty space before chuckled darkly. "Your pet has gone insane, Doctor?"
I stared at him flatly, trying to cover my fear. "The Doctor told me." which is the truth. "just not the Doctor you know." also truth since the Master technically never met bow-ties.
The Doctor stared at me in confusion.
"Yeah, don't care." The Master shrugged and pointed his gun at me as I raised my hand in surrender but the Doctor stood firmly in front of me, shielding me from him.
"Don't you dare." The Doctor hissed at him.
"You don't want to do that. Unless you want me stop both of your hearts." I said, more like repeating the shadow Doctor said.
"Are you threatening me?" The Master look pissed.
"(name), who are you talking with?" The Doctor turned around and grabbed both of my arms, demanding an answer out of me.
"I..." Is this it? Do I have to tell her the truth? I turned to look at the shadow Doctor. I swallowed down hard as I look at the Doctor and then at the Master. "To answer your question, yes, that was a threat. How do you think I made the cybermen lost his function, Doctor? I have a psychic bomb inside me, killing me would trigger it, would kill myself and stopped both of your hearts. So unless you want an early death, I suggest you temper yourself." I said as flat as possible.
Both Time Lords stared at me in shock.
"Psychic bomb? Who did that to you?" The Doctor demanded in concern and slight fear.
"The Doctor did." I said softly.
She released me as if stunned.
The Master curiously looked at me and the Doctor. "Oh fuck this, you ruined my moments, ape!"
"(name)..." The Doctor stared at me as if I grow two head suddenly.
"Come on you two, we need to be somewhere else right now!" The Master demanded.
The Doctor grabbed my hand and took me with her as the Master led us the ruin of the citadel.
As we entered the hall of matrix chamber, the Master suddenly hit me over the head, causing to collapse on the floor, losing my consciousness.
Both Doctor and the shadow Doctor are enraged at my behalf. The Master claimed he need her attention on him, not on her stupid pet.
7777
I woke up to huge commotion. The Master is yelling something at a hologram of Ashad and his armies, asking them what happened. We could heard explosion. He turned to the Doctor asking her what has she done but the Doctor claimed it wasn't her.
They were shouting at each other. Until a signal caught on his communication device.
"A signal. The four taps of two hearts." The Master suddenly said in confusion.
I glanced at those two as they started to bicker again. They are the last two Time Lords, so who was it that send him a signal?
My heart suddenly beats faster as dread filled me.
"The signal is getting close but something seemed to prevented it to come through..." the Doctor said as she pulled her sonic at the device that now emitting some sort of pulse. A portal suddenly appeared in the middle of the room.
I turned toward the shadow Doctor who look at me fondly. I couldn't decipher the meaning of it for a time. He suddenly started to fade away and my eyes widened as I suddenly have a realization.
"No!!" I shouted at both the Doctor and the Master trying to make them stop just as a pulse of energy exploded knocking all of us off our feet and I lost my consciousness once more.
7777
The portal opened. A man in bow-ties and dark purple suit stepped out of it.
The Doctor and the Master groaned on the floor. They looked up to see the newcomer.
The Doctor froze in shock when she saw her past-self. Her mouth dropped open.
He fixed his bow-ties with a grin. "Finally..." He turned and glanced at the other two Time Lords. "Hello there."
"Who the hell are you?" The Master asked.
"Victorious, at your service." He said, bowing mockingly at them.
The Doctor's face paled at the name. "But you can't be..."
"Oh? Why not?" He asked.
"You were me. And I never, he never..."
"You are the Doctor. Interesting." He said, eyes gleaming in excitement.
"You...are not me." The Doctor finally realized.
Victorious turned toward the unconscious human at the floor. His eyes softened considerably as he walked and squatted before the human, one hand gently removed the strand of hairs covering the face. "I guess even here, you couldn't escape a Me after all, huh?" he said. He sighed as he cradled the human into his arms. His forehead touches the human gently. "Seemed like you still keep some secret from me too..." He glanced at the Time Lady before him with a chilling smile before turning to look at his human again. "You bad, bad girl, what is to be done with this?"
A/N: I don’t know if there will be more. Maybe if inspiration hit, I will. Bear in mind, if I do write more, I might just add it in the same post instead of making another one so stay tunes? But for now, TTFN.
