you flatter me!!! and yes, ofc!! so this list is gonna be a combo of webcomics AND mangas because I've started reading new mangas that deserve love and attention as well. unlike my previous list, many of these webcomics and mangas may be nsfw, I'll mark the ones that are like that. also, i won't be including links for these because i don't want to spread the website that i use because it's illegal. but you should be able to find all of these if you entire the titles into google!

Semantic Error by Jeosuri, NSFW: i talk about this nonstop and i think my friends are tired of me talking about it. probably the best enemies to friends to lovers piece i've ever read. the build up to them getting along is paced perfectly in my opinion, the developing of feelings is also great, AND THERE'S A KDRAMA?!? yeah, yeah, read it. yeah please

The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window by Yamashita Tomoko: I never cried so much until I read this manga. like, i was honestly on the FLOOR reading this!! starts off nice and simple before evolving into this giant mess of a thing that shatters your heart. has a cult in it and handles the trauma around it fairly well ( or at least i think so ). the whole topic of trauma is just beautifully written, had me shaking towards the end. i'm still shaking and i finished reading it last week.

Shutline by Kyo Woo, NSFW: now hear me out,,,,, this webcomic??? TOP TIER!!! BABY!!! it's about a gang leader who meets a mechanic and y'all,,,,, this shit has me losing my marbles everytime i read it. shit is wild LIKE TRULY.

Cat Street by Kamio Yoko: written by the woman who made hana yori dango ( boys over flower ) and i promise you!! this is actually good!! LIKE REALLY GOOD!!! deals with a teenager who exiles herself from the entire world after an embarrassing moment that happened as a child. a story about finding yourself, meeting new people, and falling in love with a childhood passion. def my comfort manga.

Jibaku Shounen Hanako-Kun by Aida Iro: i saw a lot of people reading it on youtube and honestly,,, i should've minded my fucking business!! because this damn manga is so sad, like, my heart was breaking while reading it. one of those stories that starts off really cute and sweet before unfolding into this massive plot that has you screaming every chapter.

The Taming of the Shrew by Biai: yes, like Shakespeare's TOTS, follows the same plot but also has its differences. actually really good and Kat is a swordswoman <3 and Petruchio is a major simp. please read it because i loved it so much

As You Wish, Prince by Mokgamgi: TOP TIER!! BEAUTIFUL!!! IN LOVE!!! a writer is kidnapped by the villain of her series because he's upset of how she's written him and made him into this total failure and laughing stock of the kingdom. turns out that he's actually a good guy!! and her heroes??? TOTAL TRASH!! it's completed too so no need to worry about a next update

Red Candy by Hanse, NSFW: idk what's with me and undercover stories,,,, but i love it. a spy who has to pretend to be his target's boyfriend. really good and there's like so many levels to it. corrupt spy organization, major daddy issues, has me on the floor sobbing. i'm just a softie.

Yubisaki to Renren by Suu Moorishita: MY GOD!!! BEAUTIFUL ART!!! BEAUTIFUL WRITING!!! the MC is a hearing-impaired woman and it's genuinely written properly. like the author worked hard to make this very accurate to the community and is careful in capturing JSL ( japanese sign language ). like yes the romance but also!! THE REPRESENATION IN THIS!!! PLEASE READ IT!!!

Tiger, Tiger by Petra Erika Nordlund, NSFW: someone actually recommended this to me and i read it in one sitting. the art style is top tier, in LOVE with the MC and her future husband. the storytelling and world building has me H O O K E D!! please give it a read and make sure to support the author.

bokuaka—my number one ship. skts is Nothing compared to them. the devotion and care is absolutely impeccable. most recently i’ve been absolutely in love with this series by allicanseeispink on ao3: the first fic is difficulty spike (8.4k, T) and it’s so beautiful and melancholy and satisfying (light angst with a happy ending)

atsukita—the care package scene. sold. for this i’d have to go with bastigod’s sweet reverence (5.6k, T). i adore basti’s writing with my entire being and the motifs and structure and syntax and narrative style are incredible. god. you might spot the essay i typed out in a mad frenzy in his comments section oops

asanoya—this was my first comfort ship for hq and they are so so dear to me. i havent read much fic for them recently and by that i mean in four years but top of the world by homeo (113k, M) has a very special place in my heart :’)

kagehina—classic. of course. call me basic but the way they play off each other’s development is incomparable. the author who really got me back into kghn was tinygumdrops on ao3 with their fic thirty-three days of mist and mountains (36.8k, T) because that fic has the most incredible depiction of their rivalry that i’ve ever seen. stunning imagery and characterization

osaaka—oh, to bond over a shared appreciation of food...i haven’t read much fic for them but my dear friend blythe spinoffprotag on twt wrote a lovely poem for them in such a unique format and i just :’) and as a bonus here’s a mini comic from one of my fave artists fiendishpal on twt ^_^ i believe they’re also on here as @/inkedberries but they post more art on twt

favorite piece of media of all time and why

oooo the thing is i hyperfix on one piece of media and then it’s the center of my world for a few months so i’d say either The Haunting Anthology or maybe Cartoon Saloon’s just absolutely stunning movies but like in a month i might change my mind- decisions are not my forte 😭😭

For the Haunting Anthology, the storytelling and the characters and the cinematography and the way all the episodes just weave together mmmMM perfectly splendid 🤌🤌

Cartoon Saloon’s movies are the most beautiful animated movies i’ve ever seen. I still remember watching The Song Of The Sea on the plane to China like 4 years ago and the art style is everything. I just watched Wolfwalkers and ooooooo literally my thoughts are only functioning in an irish accent. i love folklore so i absolutely adored the storytelling as well. definitely planning on watching the Secret of the Kells soon

I LOVE TAKADA KENTA i loved writing this because honestly shdgfjshd i love him so much lmao anyway letsa gooo

you have always loved your soulmate tattoo

from the moment it appeared on your 16th birthday you were so glad it was ,, what it was

one of your friends that was,,, very feminine,,, had a skull on their neck which they were highkey mad about

but you had a small sprig of forget-me-nots above your left hipbone

honestly you thanked your lucky stars that you had a really pretty tattoo

in fact it made you want to meet your soulmate even more sdhfgdsj

when you reached college you decided to,, be more active about finding your soulmate

you joined clubs like the dance club and other societies in an attempt to put yourself out there

and honestly? you were really really enjoying it but

you hadn’t found your soulmate anywhere

one day after a practice at dance club you arrived back at your dorm so tired that you were literally;; ready to collapse onto the floor

you were just about to drift off to sleep when the sound of loud music came from the room next to you

honestly you were going to go and rage and ask why the hell they were playing music that late at night but

then you realised it wasn’t even past 7pm lmao

but you decided to go and knock to ask them to turn it down a bit because… you really were tired

when you knocked on the door thought, it swung open suddenly

obviously whoever was in here forgot to lock it

you pushed the door back more and stuck your head inside

and inside… was a really cute boy dancing

his hair was dyed a light shade of brown and it messy and slightly wavy, reaching just past his ears

and boy could he dance

it took him a while to notice you standing in his doorway staring at him (he was very into the dance okay and no it wasn’t despacito)

when he realised you were there he jumped and suddenly stopped, walking over to the speaker and turning it off quickly

“uhh... when did you get here??”

“not that long ago!!! Haha….”

there was a really awkward silence because hey his really good dancing had distracted you from why you actually came over and well he didn’t exactly want to come out and say ‘hey what are you doing in my room you weirdo’

“you’re really good at dancing, where did you learn?”

“oh uh thanks??!! I taught myself…”

“wait you taught yourself?”

from that moment onwards you forgot all about your wish to sleep and focused on the cute neighbour of yours with amazing dance skills

as the minutes passed on you learnt more about him, and exchanged phone numbers

his name was takada kenta, he was an international student from Japan, studying dance and performing arts, he loved to dance and sing ever since he was little and he got in here on a scholarship

inside your heart you felt a spark of something as he talked about himself and you saw his cute lil smile as he recalled memories of dancing

before you left, you invited him to join the dance club for practice the next night

of course he agreed to come

(don’t tell anyone but he felt the spark too)

that night you went to sleep smiling as you remembered the past few hours with kenta

the next day after your classes finished, you met up with kenta and walked to the dance club’s practice room together

all the way there he seemed kind of,, nervous about it

“Kenta…”

“Yes????”

“you’re an amazing dancer, don’t be nervous, they’ll love you”

you were right

even the choreographer was blown away by how well he could dance and when kenta revealed he could sing too you were pretty sure half the people in the room were going to faint lmao

so of course he was accepted into the dance club

gradually over the following weeks you and kenta drew closer

at the dance club, you two would usually hang out together during the breaks or grab coffee together in the campus cafe after

and honestly,, you started to have feelings for him

he was a little weird sometimes but it was endearing and his smile was so adorable and he was so talented you really couldn’t help but love him;;

and a hope began to brew inside of you that maybe, just maybe, he could be your soulmate

I mean you hadn’t seen his bare hip yet so,,, it’s all in the air yknow

one day when you went to class the choreographer revealed that there would be a dance club showcase and that she’d put you all into groups to work on your own pieces together

and of course you and kenta were put together to do a couple dance which,, everyone went ‘ooooooo’ at lmao

“y/n and kenta, you two have a lot of chemistry so put you two down to do a couple dance. Is that okay with both of you?”

before you even had a chance to think about saying no kenta had said yes

and thus you started on the dance

you both decided to make it more,, lyrical than complicated and more flowyyy

you picked a song that was quite slow so like flowy movements would fit

of course the choreographer helped you out with some bits and helped you to choose which moves to use and which not to use

and honestly, you were really proud of the final product

the choreographer had even called it beautiful, and she winked at the two of you every time it was your turn to perform to the club

before you knew it, it was time for the showcase

you weren’t even nervous, and neither was kenta

you both knew that as long as you were dancing together, you’d be fine

as you waited for your turn to go, you stood backstage in your costumes hand in hand, each other’s presence a calming feeling

they were simple costumes, basically normal clothes

just with a theme of black and white lol

kenta had a striped black and white shirt half tucked into white trousers and you had an almost identical outfit just switched lol

when it was your turn to perform, kenta led you on stage and you assumed your positions

the dance was going perfectly when you noticed

Kenta’s shirt had come untucked, and as he raised his arms his hip bone was revealed

and you almost immediately spotted a tattoo identical to yours, a small forget-me-not

you quickly snapped back into focus and back into the dance as you felt your own shirt come untucked

as the dance came to a close, you got into the final positions where you sat opposite one another, when you noticed kenta was staring at your waist

you looked down and noticed your tattoo that matched his was on show, and you looked up at him and smiled

he smiled widely back at you, and just as the last note of the song played he leant forward and pressed his lips against yours

the crowd cheered wildly, and your choreographer backstage was just like ‘haha i knew it’

but in that moment, you were the happiest you could be.

Gaga walked to the door and opened it, she walked into the cement and practically ran to the sand because the hot sun made the cement hot. She walked the the beach chairs that Taylor had put there and sat down, she seen his sketchbook and smiled.

“Let’s see what my man has been drawing.” She grabbed it and opened it. A big smile formed on her face as she seen the beautiful images of plants, random people and random objects. As she flipped more papers she seen an imagine that looked slightly like her and she smiled even wider at the little hearts around the drawing of her. She flipped the the last drawing and seen that he was in the process of drawing palm trees.

Gaga grabbed the pencil and began to draw on the next clean page. Just as she did her first pencil mark she heard the roar of Taylor’s motorcycle. She stayed still and heard the bike turn off. He opened the door of the shack and walked in, she heard him call out for her and she giggled into her sleeve. “Stef, baby.” He walked out and seen her sitting there. “Why did you tell me you were out here?” He laughed and sat next to her.

“Just wanted to see how long it’d take for you to find me.” She shrugged and closed the sketchbook putting it aside. “You have beautiful drawings, Tay.” She smiled and he blushed.

“Thank you.” He smiled and gave her a container of many fruits and a plastic fork. “Here’s your fruit.”

“Thank youuuuu.” She cooed and opened the container putting a piece of pineapple into her mouth, she rolled her eyes back and moaned because of the flavor. Taylor chuckled and grabbed a bag he had on the floor under the chair, he opened it and took paint out, he grabbed a small paint brush and opened the tiny paint tube, squeezing out a small about of paint on his hand. He dipped the paintbrush in the paint and patted his lap waiting for her to place her legs on his lap. She giggled and did what he was motioning and control eat her fruit as the cold paint came in contact with her skin.

“Ooooooo, Tay that’s cold.” She giggled and cringed but didn’t move to not ruin what he was doing.

“Sorry, Stefi.” He lifted the brush and looked at her. She had the tip of a strawberry in between her lips and he stared at her lips as she bit the strawberry and the juice from it coated her lips in a sheer coat of red that made her lips look shiny, he was almost drooling and she licked her lips and giggled while chewing the fruit.

“Honey, focus on your painting.” She winked and bit what was left of the strawberry.

He groaned under his breath and began to paint again. Gaga watched him with a smile as she ate, she admired his very focused face as he was painting on her thigh, now with multiple paint colors on the back of his hand. She looked down at her thigh and watched as he was doing little strokes of paint as he was painting an anchor, suitcase, turtle, mermaid and a pirate hat with little designs everywhere. Her eyes watered as she watched that view, she had missed seeing him so focused on doing bits of art on her. She grabbed her phone from the cardigan pocket and took a picture of him leaned over painting, she zoomed the camera closer to his fingers, brush and what he was painting, she took another pic and debated whether or not she should post onto Instagram, she just locked her phone and put it on the arm of the chair before continuing to eat her fruit.

Taylor proudly took the paintbrush off of her after he painting a red heart. He looked up at her and smiled as she was just watching him. “I’m finished.” He backed up and she leaned forward looking at what he did.

“It’s beautiful, baby.” She smiled and her eyes watered again. Taylor just smiled proudly. Gaga put her empty container of fruit down and, very carefully to not ruin his painting, she crawled next to him and put her legs over his lap again, Taylor put his left hand on her unpainted thigh and his right arm around her small body. She looked up at him and grinned, she looked at his lips and began to lean in before she turned her head, “I am not going to lose.” She laughed, Taylor laughed as well and held her tighter.

“It’s so hard not to kiss you.” He lifted his hand from her thigh and placed his thumb on her lower lip. She smiled still with his thumb on her lip and grabbed his hand with hers, laying her head on his shoulder.

“It smells so yummy!” Gaga squealed when she walked into the kitchen, it was now 6pm and she had just walked out of a bath. She had just a towel around her and she grabbed her bag and dragged it to the room as Taylor watched in awe.

The door closed and he went back to cooking some steak, he check on the green beans before flipping the meat. He was now cooking with a smile on his face, he felt true happiness having her here, knowing she’s safe, happy and loved is all he could ever ask for.

Gaga looked at herself in the mirror as she examined the skin-tight red dress she had on. She put her hands on her waist and bit her lip, “too much?” She asked herself as she twirled. “Nothing's too much for me.” She laughed and took her hair tie off letting her hair fall just above her shoulders.

She looked into the mirror and grabbed a red lipstick, she put it on her plump lips then began to do some Smokey eyeshadow, topping it off with some shimmer gold eyeshadow. She put eyeliner and mascara. “Shouldn’t put all of this on, I will most likely cry.” She laughed to herself and began to comb her eyebrows and fill them in, although she didn’t really need it. And finally she slipped some black heels on, making her some inches taller. She combed her hair pushed the locks behind her ears. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror.

“Dinners ready Stef!” She heard Taylor call out to her and she opened put her diamond necklace on that Taylor gave her years ago. She walked to the door and slowly opened it, the lights were now off and the room was light with candles, the table had two plates and a handsome Taylor stood by the table with two glasses of red wine. His jaw dropped as she walked towards him, swaying her hips making him practically drool. Once she reached him she smiled and put her hands on each of his forearms,

“You cleaned up well, Kinney.” She smiled and ran her hands over the fabric of his white formal shirt.

“You look, wow.” He shook his head as he tried to speak. She smiled at his reaction and grabbed the glass of wine, sipping it.

“Thank you.” She smiled and winked as she sat down. Taylor quickly put his glass down and pushed her chair in. He then sat down at his and grabbed her hand. He just stared into her eyes and smiled at her, “shall we eat?” She asked and ran her thumb over the back of his hand. He nodded and they began to eat.

Two hours later, Bottle of wine almost gone and their plates completely empty, the two were laughing so hard tears nearly dropped from their eyes. “Oh Taylor.” Gaga laughed and she finished the rest of the wine in her glass.

“Wanna go outside, love?” He asked and she nodded. He stood up and reached his hand to her, she grabbed onto it and stood up, she grabbed a new glass of wine as they walked out.

“Oh heels aren’t good for the sand.” She laughed and stopped walking. Taylor turned and picked her up bridal style, walking to a blanket that was set on the sand. He put her down then laid down inself. She opened the wine bottle, leaned onto his chest and began to sip the red alcoholic liquid.

Taylor lightly ran the back of his fingers on her cheeks as he looked down at her. She turned her head and looked at him smiling. “Don’t drink too much, my beauty.” He cupped her cheek.

She didn’t say anything, she just put the tip of the bottle by his lips and tilted it, after filling his mouth she put it back against her lips and drank more. “I’m not a lightweight, hun. I’ll be fine.” She groaned as she looked at him then placed a wet kiss on his jaw.

“I lost.” She said, He laughed as she shrugged. “Well let’s cut it down to just mouth kisses, if I kiss your beautiful lips I lose.” He laughed and she nodded.

“Fine, I haven’t lost.” She smiled and began to kiss his neck. She began to suck on it, forming a hickey. He closed his eyes and put his hands on her waist. She stopped and poured more wine into her mouth. Taylor opened his mouth again and she poured some wine in, “you’re hot.” She whispered and he smirked, “You are.” He smiled and moved her hair back behind her ears. She smiled and put the bottle down, she pushed him down and pulled her dress up to her waist so she can straddle him, her breasts on his chest. She continued to plant kisses on his neck, her lipstick smearing and leaving red marks on his neck, some hickeys, others are her lipstick.

Taylor turned them over and began to kiss her neck, leaving hickeys. She held onto his shoulders and smiled in excitement as he grabbed both her arms, pinning them on top of her head on the sand, holding onto her wrists. He looked into her eyes and smiled before kissing the tip of her nose. He grabbed his phone from his pocket and went there some songs, still holding her wrists with his left hand, and clicked ‘Unchained Melody’ by The Righteous Brothers.

“Oh, so romantic.” She giggled and Taylor nodded letting her arms go.

“Let’s dance.” He helped her up and helped her take her heels off, her placed his hands on her waist and she had her hands on his shoulders. They stared into each other eyes with gentle smiles on their faces.

“Oh my love, my darling”- “I’ve hungered for your touch.” Taylor started to sing the the lyrics and Gaga continued, interrupting him but he didn’t mind. “I need your Love, I need your Love, God speed your love to me.” They sang together and she already had tears streaming down her face. She placed her head on his chest as the song finished and the next one, ‘Will Your Ever Be Mine’ by Donnie Elbert began to play and so Taylor began to sing.

“I want to hold you, hold you, baby till I can’t hold you no more, I want to squeeze you, squeeze you baby till I can’t squeeze you no more.” He sang and she wrapped her arms around his waist tightly. He smiled and continued to sing the songs as they dance, hours of dancing later it was getting close to midnight. They were now laying down laughing and swaying to the music.

“I want to love you love you baby till I can’t love you no more.” She sang as the same song came on again. Taylor smiled and grabbed her hands kissing the back of them.

As they sat there another song they love came on and Gaga gasped, ‘We belong together’ by Ritchie Valens.

“You’re mine and we belong together, for eternity.” They both sang with their foreheads against each other’s and at that very moment fireworks began to explode in the air and he looked at his phone seeing 12:00am. He smiled and cupped her cheeks, smashing his lips against hers. She giggled against his lips and kissed him back.

“Happy New Years, baby.” She said as they broke the kiss, tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Happy New Years, my love.” He wiped her tears again and placed his lips on hers again.

Hey people!

Okay so I have been doing a lot of travel writing lately and I haven’t been doing much bookish blogging. I mean, my blog is titled Books, Laughs, and Travels.

Anyways, I’ve been in a funk where I don’t feel like picking up a book and committing to a story right now. I know, that sounds so bad, but I get this way when I’m stressed out in life. Right now I’m stressed out with trying to become an adult but not knowing what the hell I want to do.

Don’t worry I did start a book today, it might take me a while to finish it, but we will talk more about that later.

Right now we are going to talk about the wonderful, the amazing, the surprising Fairyloot box!

I’m going to come out and say that I’m doing this unboxing and review out of my own will, no one is asking me or paying me to do it.

Now, Fairyloot is a monthly subscription box that comes to your door, I would say, the last week of every month. It was started a little over a year ago with the mission to reach bookworms and connect them. Ever since March of 2016 Fairyloot has been sending YA fantasy boxes that contain one book along with book related items. They are based in the United Kingdom, so if you are buying from the United States the cost of a single box, with shipping, is about $50. They have single, monthly, and yearly subscriptions.

Now, before I go on and do my unboxing I just want to say that I didn’t film a video. Why? Well, when I watch and unboxing video I don’t want to listen to people ramble on. I just want them to show me the darn item!

So I decided that the best way to bypass unnecessary video rambling was to take pictures of the items and give descriptions of them! (I am also tired and didn’t want to film myself, so this is a win/win situation.)

Before I get to my pictures I just want to say that if you like to read YA or if you’re into fantasy give this box a go. I always find a book that sounds interesting and gets thrown into my “to be read” pile. If it doesn’t look like something I’d like, then I just give it to a friend because books are always great gifts! Honestly, the $50 price tag is fair, I always feel like I’m getting more then what I pay into the box. I’ve never gotten a box where I felt as if $50 is too much for the items, I always feel like I get great quality things for a steal. Plus the books are always hardcover, so that’s half the cost of the box right there. Go get a subscription today!

Okay, so this is what comes on your doorstep. It is a completely black box that has the Fairyloot logo at the top. It also has the very cute and very true “My books. My treasure.” quote on the side. Honestly, the packaging is A+ and is part of the reason I began to buy this subscription.

So we break the tape and open the box to see….

The first thing you will see laying on top is the art card that is included in every Fairyloot box. Every month a different artist creates a print for the theme of the box. This month’s theme is tricksters. When you flip this card over you will see a description of all the items in your box. I placed this card on the lid to move it out of the way so I could get to all of the goodies!

The first thing that probably got your attention was the purple confetti squiggle things. Yes, I know they are there to keep everything safe on its way a surprise. This doesn’t make up for how annoying they are when I find them everywhere, all the damn time.

You also find another cute quote! Did I mention that their packaging is on point?

Now there were two things poking out of the purple confetti. Since I knew one of them was a mug, I went for the other white thing that was lying beside it.

What I pulled out from that purple mess was a Loki lotion from the company Geeky Clean. The scent is Dragon’s Blood, and they make a point to say that it is not real Dragon’s Blood. Overall the lotion smells like the Dragon’s Blood incense. It’s light and not greasy, which is always a plus!

This particular product was made specifically for this month’s Fairyloot box and I could not find it on their website. But, you can check out their shop here and take a look around!

Okay, now to the mug.

This is a Sherlock enamel tin mug designed by Fictontea Designs. It states that it is exclusive, which means that it was made for the box only. I did take a look around the artist’s Society6 website and I didn’t come across the same mug design. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wander over there and check out their prints and mugs. There are some awesome Harry Potter ones that are just waiting to make a home in your cupboards!

When I pulled these out I got a bit too excited.

These are Hogwarts playing cards and they represent every house! How awesome is that? Also the tin they come in is so cute. I might make it a lipstick tin or a makeup carrying case, just because I can.

I found these through a wholesale website, where you have to buy them in quantities of twelve, and they were sold out. You can check back here to keep an eye out if you must have these awesome cards in your collection!

I never thought I’d say, “Wow, what a cute oven mitt!”, until tonight. Honestly I’ll be cooking in style while conjuring up some magic with this mitt. It is called the Fortune Telling Kitchen Glove!

This is a Fairyloot exclusive item. It is inspired by the book of the month (which I haven’t spoiled yet) and it does not say if an Etsy company makes it. I’m guessing the creators of Fairyloot made it because the item card says they brought it to us and it also has their logo on the side. It’s honestly one of the cutest kitchen accessories I’ve seen.

This is the Terrible Truths watercolor bookmark made by Lexy Olivia. It is referencing the Six of Crows series by Leigh Bardugo.

All I can say about this bookmark is that it is very pretty. The quality is a thick paper so you have to be careful to preserve it! You can check out all of her beautiful bookmarks on her Etsy shop.

The last item before the book is this print by Miss Phi. It is a Harley Quinn quote because she is considered to be one of Fairyloot’s favorite tricksters. You can check out this artists’ Society6 and pick up some of her cool prints!

Now, without further ado…

This month’s book is Daughter of the Burning City by Amand Foody. I haven’t heard of this book but from what I read in the jacket sleeve the main character fits the theme of a trickster perfectly.

The main character is sixteen and lives with a circus. She is the only illusionist born within hundreds of years. She crates her life and believes they are all her illusions, until one of them is murdered. Now she must find the line between her illusion and reality.

Ooooooo! Maybe this book will make its way to the top of my reading pile?

Now let me quickly tell you about what is included with your book in every box. In the above left photo you will see a drawstring bag with the Fairyloot logo. This is their book bag, and every month this is how they ship your book, to make sure it gets to you safely.

In the above right picture you will see the goodies inside of the black bag. These items include, the book of the month, a signed bookplate, a letter from the author, and a Fairyscoop. You get these items every month and they are great little pluses to the box. In Fairyscoop there is an interview with the author and also books that are related to the month’s title so you don’t have to go through reading withdraw!
