Sentimaggedon!!

Sentimonster designs I came up with bc I was thinking about Argos’s debut in my AU! Bc I’m dumb and I haven’t thought too deep about him as a character to the story yet-

They were originally suppose to all be based on the seven deadly sins, especially Gasumptious (gluttony) and Elvy (envy). But I also wanted to branch into maybe Felix’s other hidden emotions, like his deep love for Kagami and his fear of being replaced by Adrien (Bride and Athazagora).

Argos becomes an official enemy when Dragonbug tells him they need to be destroyed. He defends them, saying they’re just “infants” and can learn how to behave properly with time. But a frustrated and exhausted Dragonbug she tells him they aren’t like humans and are created for one purpose: to serve and destroy. This hits home with Argos, and he develops a fear and hatred for Ladybug and swears his loyalty to Madame Morphisa afterwards in order to take her down and prove just how monstrous he can be.

I’m still kinda trying to find a way to make this concept work in my au. He promised to serve her in exchange for the peacock miraculous, and she wants him to use it to take Ladybug’s miraculous. In a novice attempt, he might have just starting creating multiple sentimonsters that he thought were harmless enough (something she did NOT expect), but they quickly spiraled out of control. It’s much easier to make sentimonsters based on others emotions, because you can predict which one you will create it off of. But instead, he chose his own, which makes it more difficult to tell how the sentimonster will act. I think it would show the aspect that these creatures do have a mind of their own, compared to previous Mayura sentimonsters who were easily controlled by their akumas!!

Red Moon

Red Moon is obviously already canon, but her power is instead hypnosis. If you get caught in her light, you stop whatever you are doing to stare at her. The streets of Paris become like a statue exhibit: countless of unlucky citizens are bathing in her glow, staring at the beauty of the red moon.

Gasumptious

As he devours, Gasumptious grows bigger and bigger. He’ll eat anything, so beware! After finishing most of the city, Gasumptious sits atop the Eiffel Tower and gnaws on its metal posts.

Elvy

Elvy lives in the sewers. She can control water and uses it to drain you of happy memories, which she keeps in floating green orbs and guards for herself.

It’s so silly to me how the manifestation of Felix’s jealousy of Adrien is fought and defeated by Chat Noir, who is Adrien ehehehheeh.

She also sounds like a Pokémon!! Probably like a Lapras, or the one that trills really pretty

Athazagora

A timid creature, Athazagora took over the catacombs, and hides in the shadows. You can hear the creaking and rattling of its wooden limbs in the dark as it stalk you. If you can’t escape, it envelops you in its cloak of darkness, never to be seen again.

Bride

The supposed advisor of Argos. She never leaves his side, and is always whispering something in his ear. To protect Argos, she showcases her ability to turn her arm into a long spear/sword, incredible strength and mobility, and that her body is made of an indestructible crystal.

Plus, he can make multiple sentimonsters bc he’s a sentihuman himself (Other people can’t. You can only make one, kind of like how the Butterfly miraculous can only Akumatize one person at a time, unless they share an object. Current excuse I’m going with that makes semi-sense HEHEHE) . So Lila totally wants to use that to her own advantage!

Ofc he fails, but she’s impressed with his resolve (and the lengths he was willing to go, albeit unintentionally), especially after sharing her goal of destroying Ladybug. Lila was feeling the effects of unification and now has a willing minion to do her bidding whenever she pleases.

If I decide to go with this plot, Lila has to end up forgetting Felix because of the curse. But she doesn’t care: all she really needs is Argos. I might need to retcon her revenge against Felix because of this but idm! It wasn’t very important to the plot anyways!

I was considering having Dragonbug in this episode, since she could use Perfection to snipe Red Moon out of the sky! The lucky charm would be like a wand that creates a sticky translucent web to keep the sentimonsters secure so they can go find their amoks.

And a sentimonster I never ended up including, Ava. I just didn’t have a reason to put her in there but I liked the yin and yang style of her design!!

Deep dive into the "Dead Man Walking AU"

SPOILERS AHEAD! If you haven't read the introductory comic yet I strongly advise you to read it first!

Watch out! Hurting Peppino, tomato sauce and long walls of text ahead!

This AU takes place in an alternative timeline where Fake Peppino defeats and kills real Peppino in their fight on the fourth floor. doing so he consumes a piece of Peppino and thanks to this he‘s able to perfectly take Peppino’s form.

He also gains Peppino’s memories and an inteligence of a regular human. And only then, as memories that aren‘t his own invade his mind and a man’s last thoughts before his death echo in his head, he realizes what have he just done.

The guilt drives him to finish what Peppino started. He climbs to the top of the tower, defeats Pizzahead and the other bosses, crumbles the tower, and takes over Peppinos restaurant. No one, except for him, knows what really happened on the fourth floor… or does someone? Question is, how long? How long can he keep this secret? How long will he be able to keep this illusion alive? How long before the consequences of his actions eat himfrom inside out?

Thanks his newly acquired inteligence he’s able to speak properly and has complete control over his more monstrous side. Through he can still do all the things Fake Peppino is known for, if he chooses to. (like speaking the „gibberish“ language, deforming, reforming and miscellaneous frog stuff)

He  knows how to make a good edible pizza but has to wear gloves while handling pizza dough to prevent a piece of him getting into it and a clone forming. (I don’t have to explain why pizza coming to life would be devastating, right?)

As mentioned above "Peppi-NO" has real Peppino’s memories. He has reacurring nightmares based off real Peppino’s memories. Most often the war and real Peppino‘s last moments. (He has two sets of memories from before the incident, his own and real peppinos. Luckily he’s able to clearly differentiate between them. This also means that he gets to experience Peppino’s death from two points of view. Quite lovely, isn’t it? )

He treats other characters like real Peppino would. But doesn’t feel any real connection to them. „I’m mean to the Noise, because real Peppino would be mean to the Noise“ Kind of mindset. The only exception is Noisette who was Fake Peppino’s pal before the incident. He views her as a friend but still needs to keep the act up around her.

The best way to understand this character is to put yourself into their shoes. So...let’s do a quick thought experiment: You are you, right? Of course! It makes perfect sense. But now imagine this. You are not actually you. YOU are a clone of yourself, who managed to kill off the real you. And all of your memories are not actually your own. What would „your“ friends and family think if they found out? If they found out that the real you is dead? Hell. How would you react if you found out that your lifelong friend was actually killed by a skinwalker few months ago and the damn thing has been pretending to be them ever since?? Imagine that for a second...

Let’s not forget. This is actually Fake Peppino we’re talking about. Despite everything there’s still a silly side to him that sometimes shines throught the facade.

To summarize this character in one sentence. He hurt Peppino and now he’s stuck in his personal hell.

hi!! you're right, I am under the alterhuman/nonhuman umbrella!! specifically I'm not really any animal, I am a psychological therian which means my nonhumanity is linked to the way that my brain works. I am some kind of creature, if you search "alien" on my art blog (@beastwhimsy) you'll find what I am!! being this thing makes me very happy, and it is not detrimental to my mental health in any way. <- I've talked to my therapist about this and he's fascinated by it and supports the fact that I'm nonhuman!!

ever since I was a little kid I've been acting differently to the other kids because it made me happier- I would walk along fences like a cat, I'd consistently and constantly imagine myself with wings every day, and the alien species I invented back then to encapsulate my experiences actually stayed with me until the present day!! I have a theory that my nonhuman experiences link to my neurodivergent experiences, as I was outcast from social groups because I acted strangely, and I didn't feel like I was the same as my peers. today, my default sense of self is as some kind of creature, my spacial awareness matches the limbs and features of this creature more than it does my actual human form, and it makes me happier to visualise myself as this creature!! there are many, many ways to be alterhuman- for some its spiritual, others it is psychological, for some it is a coping mechanism for something and some do it for fun or because they feel happier as an alterhuman.

some common experiences for therians/nonhumans include phantom limbs (the experience of having spacial awareness of limbs and features corresponding to an animal/creature) and mental shifts (feeling as though your mindset has shifted away from human thought and feeling processes to become more animalistic, e.g. for a dog therian they would become much more focussed on smells as a way to experience the world around them, and they may think less in words and more in images and feelings. these states are usually temporary and not harmful or hindering, though they can be annoying).

you have a higher chance of being nonhuman if you are neurodivergent or have experienced dehumanisation throughout your life, but anyone can fall under the alterhuman umbrella regardless of your childhood or your neurological makeup!!

last thing, it isn't always but it can be tied into your gender!! for example, I use it/that as well as he/him because it feels more in line with how I perceive myself and it makes me happy. it is a reclamation of dehumanising terms in a sense.

Okay so I was scrolling through my old posts, as I do when I can't sleep, and I found something. Something from way back when I was making the switch from Dusk to Faybon as the main OC behind this blog (who here remembers that mess right?). It was something I had reblogged from someone that called Alya bashing racist and listed some very good points on why this was the case.

As stated previously I have an Alya bias. One that tars her negatively whenever she enters the main spotlight of the story. What's interesting is that, reading through what I wrote in response to that message, this bias has clearly gotten worse for no discernible reason.

Cliffnotes version on what I wrote there but basically it was me stating that Alya should never need to apologize or need redemption from Marinette because hurting her is not something Alya is capable of doing. Marinette is Alya's best friend and the best person Marinette could have in her corner. She'll help Mari with whatever crazy plan she concocts but will drag her out of whatever negative spiral she gets herself into.

Rest of my realisation, and adult language, under the cut because I want to spare as many walls as I can.

That being said.... Salt is an insidious poison and the mind is a susceptible mess. I don't know when I stopped believing what I wrote on that post (though I know exactly when it became rage inducing IYKYK) but somehow, through slightly more aggressive characterisation and a more assertive and fleshed out Marinette. I went from having Faybon and Alya clash because it made sense character wise, to doing it because Alya was clearly in the wrong. From thinking I could write Alya accurate to the show to filling her with the same salt I'd seen in other fics.

That last one is also a victim of me overestimating my writing abilities but the key point still stands. I thought I'd long since gotten passed the point where I use OC's to enact my vendettas on characters. Turned my stories away from the simple "fix-it fics" I had started out with. And yet, despite believing Faybon to be my most complex OC (which isn't saying much considering every one of them is just the same dude with different aspects emphasized.) I began hating a character more than my character had any right to. I began believing the exaggerated aspects that slipped through, in stories that otherwise respected her, while forgetting what my own belief on her was.

I will forever be annoyed at the whole "Nino knows of Marinette's crush but Alya will smack him for bringing it up while pretending everything is fine" but and that will never get resolved. And my OCD, or whatever the Frick it is, will always trigger when I hear the phrase "I'm Marinette's best friend" instead of "Marinette's my best friend" (seriously if someone has a theory on just why this little thing irks me as much as it does I'd be beyond grateful. The other issue is clearly worse and yet this one just drives me nuts for some reason.)

And of course theres the "fic-that-shall-not-be-named" that made me add sexual content to the "do not show" tags so that I never had to worry about being triggered by it again. Seriously I don't want to harp on a story I never read but fuck that fic for making me feel this way. For making that summary stick in my head everytime I close my eyes and think of Alya. For all the vile negative feelings it caused, the nausea and more, fuck it.

Anyway, back on topic, all this will forever be a problem for me (especially that last one) but none of that is in anyway deserving of the extreme hatred I have given the aspiring journalist. The sheer contempt I have had Faybon view her with. The burning rage her mere presence near the story plot causes. In terms of canon she has made one mistake. One thing that seriously needs addressing. Beyond that? Alya has done nothing wrong and I really hope I can stop feeling like she has. I'll keep trying.

W1 design is done finally!!

W1 is both of the V models having combined themselves into one machine! Here are some notes on it! There's a lot to this fucker I think, but I'll do my best to cover what's most important.

Design notes:

More fragile areas are usually using V2's standard tougher plating. Main examples are the base of it's limbs, as the less of it's arm it potentially loses the better, it's head (which has 2 brains inside!), kneecaps and it's shooter arms, which are less powerful but made to handle guns and weaponry with more finesse.

Note! The knuckleblaster largely is off-colored, because it is a creation of V2's before their merge (she was not made with it). She made it before they combined. Has modified only it's hand after their merge (blue).

Big surface areas or places where blood often ends up use V1's plating. So like it's chest, forearms, punching fists and so on!

Their eye looks like that, because it's cool. and. 2 brains.

Their wings are a combination, because of limited resources. If it could use all of V2's it would as they are better protected.

Character/lore notes:

The V's do NOT fight for the body. Actually any disagreement on actions it must perform are VERY dangerous and scary they prioritize reaching a solution as FAST as possible.

Not functioning correctly can mean death. That being said differing opinions specifically are okay as long as they reach the same final conclusion on what to do. Nobody is panicking if they disagree on what their fave color is.

The two brains send requests incredibly fast between each other to operate the body. Both have full control over the body and must operate it together. This is a VERY processing heavy task and an inefficient one so it requires a lot of blood. It is a VERY hungry machine.

W1 combines before the events of the game! W1 would go through the events of the game in place of just V1.

I love adding little features to my crochets even if no one would really notice unless they could physically interact with them. Like the iron bundle pop out head is something that could fly as a hidden detail if you just looked at it in its default state. All the eyes inside Stakataka. The way Duskull's eye is suspended in its head. How Rolycoly's wheel rotates. The tiny soul core in Eternatus rib cage. Floragato's flower being an actual yoyo. Porygon-Z's head being attached so it can still spin all around. Orthworm's hidden arms. All of Hydrapple's wyrms. Appletun's eyes. Duraludon's hinge jaw. Eiscue's removable ice cube to reveal noice form. When I'm crocheting in these details I always think that I really don't gotta be doing all that because no one would know, but I would know, so of course I have to try. And I like to think that you can still sense how much care and thought I put into each crochet even though you can't see stuff like all the tiny paw pads I put on countless pokemon.
