Fake It Till You Make It
Chapter Four - Princess And Her Prince
The Princess of Monaco is wild and out of control. She needs to stop being in the tabloids for all the wrong reasons. Charles Leclerc has had a spot of bad press since his very public break up. He needs some good PR. What better way to fix their problems than to pair them up?

Princess And Her Prince
Dear readers,
We at the Monaco Press would like to apologise for out earlier comments, hinting that Princess Y/N could have possibly been dating Fernando Alonso, driver for the Aston Martin F1 team.
It seemed that, just last night, the party princess was attending dinner with none other than our very own, Charles Leclerc. The two aren't known to be friends, but the Ferrari driver is known to have a friendship with Prince Henri.
Ever since the pictures of the princess and her possible beau were released, many fans have been theorising as to what is going on. Many suspect that this was all set up by Prince Henri himself. We are all aware just how much the Prince loves the five time race winner.
But here at the Monaco Press, we are thinking a little deeper than that. It is no secret that Princess Y/N could use some good PR. And what better way to get good PR than to date the people's Prince?
Henri exhaled as he threw the newspaper down. "I'm starting to really hate the Monaco Press," he muttered to himself as he rubbed his temples.
There was little more he could do but parade them through the streets in a golden carriage.
He had seen the pictures leaked of she and Charles having dinner. Even he believed they were in love and he had set the entire thing up. All he could do was wait and see what happened.
***
Ever since the pictures of her and Charles had been released, along with that damn article from the Monaco Press, her group chat had been going crazy. Her friends couldn't quite believe what they were seeing
Party Paupers 🎉🎉
Luc:
YOU SLY BASTARD
Amelie:
How tf did you pull Charles Leclerc?
Luc:
I have never been more jealous of you
On a side note, what does he see in you?
Y/N:
Wdym I'm a catch
But also
Hole in the wall tonight?
I beg
Luc:
only if you bring your new boyf
The hole in the wall was a little, lesser known bar in Monaco. It was the perfect place for the party princess and her friends to just chill out.
She got herself ready, dressed down in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt, and headed out to the hole in the wall.
As usual, she was the first one there. The owner slid her usual drink towards her. "Haven't seen you in a while," he said as he cleaned glasses. She didn't doubt that he'd read the tabloid about her, knew what she had been up to.
She shrugged her shoulders and sipped her drink. "You know how life is," she said.
She finished her first drink by the time Luc came into the bar. He pushed his dark hair out of his blue eyes and strode towards her. "Tell me everything," he said as he sat in the seat beside her and ordered a drink.
"There's nothing to tell." Her drink was filled up and she downed it. "We met at the Grand Prix, he asked me out and... here we are." She finished her second gin and tonic and placed it down onto the bar. It was quickly filled up again. "When are Amélie and Bea getting here?" She asked
Luc shrugged his shoulders, but it was clear he didn't care about their whereabouts. "So, are you and Charles going steady now? Could you invite him here?"
"Luc, I just want to have a drink in peace," she groaned.
But then, Amélie and Bea walked into the bar. "Thank God," she muttered under her breath, ordering a beer instead of gin.
But Amélie and Bea were as determined to annoy her as Luc was. "He doesn't have our approval yet," they said the minute they sat down. "We need to hit him."
Her head hit the bar and she groaned. "You guys are kidding," she said as she straightened herself up and sipped her beer. "You can't meet him."
"Yeah, we can."
"We must!"
One drink later and she had her phone out, texting Charles. They had hardly texted each other since their date, just said hello to ensure they had each others phone numbers.
She sent him a quick text and slipped her phone into her pocket, not expecting any reply.
Charles hadn't yet left Monaco. In just a day he'd be leaving, heading off for the next Grand Prix. While he'd been in Monaco he'd seen his family, kept up with his training, and gone on a date with a princess.
It had exhausted him. For the entire day he sat at his piano, ignoring his phone as he just messed around. Soft melodies filled his apartment.
In the evening, Charles finally checked his phone. He scrolled through his notifications, ignoring most of them until he got to his text messages.
He answered his mother, his brother and Prince Henri. He scrolled through the rest of his messages until he got to her.
Her. Why was she texting him? Sure, they had exchanged numbers, but Charles hadn't expected her to use it unless she wanted to set something up for the tabloids.
Princess Y/N:
Waaaant to meef Mr atc the holg in the f wall,
*?
Charles couldn't stop the surprised laugh that left his lips. He quickly typed out a reply and wandered into his bedroom to get dressed.
Charles Leclerc:
I'll be there in ten x
He got dressed as quickly as he could. In all of his years of living in Monaco, Charles had never heard of the hole in the wall. He searched for it on Google maps, but even that wasn't entirely clear.
He found himself parking his car anywhere and wandering down a street that didn't feel entirely safe. Halfway down the street (it was really more of an alleyway), there was a door with a beaten up and battered sign. The Hole In The Wall.
He could hear all of the noise as he pushed open the door. But, the minute he stepped into the bar.
Charles looked around, looking for any sign of the princess, but bewildered faces stared back at him. "Um... hello," he said and offered a wave.
"HE'S REAL!" Came a shout from the left of the bar.
So, that was the direction he started in. Charles walked past the bar until he found a small group of people.
Two girls stared at him, but not in the way girls usually stared at him. It was more like they were scrutinising him as they stepped to the side to reveal her.
There she was, on a bar stood with an empty drink in her hands. She laughed as she leaned against a boy with dark hair. "I was almost 110% sure nobody was going to show up. Or Henri would have dragged you out again."
Charles looked at the guy with a frown. Was this her boyfriend? Why not at least fake date this man?
"What can I get you, Charlie?" She asked him, her words slurring together.
Charlie. He froze up at that. It was rare he'd let anybody call him Charlie, and he certainly didn't think he and Y/N were on that level, yet.
He shook his head. "Let me buy you a drink, princess."
At that, she fell quiet, her expression turning from a smile to a glare. "Forget it," she muttered under her breath, turning her attention back to her friend.
Charles stood there somewhat awkwardly while the two of them conversed. And then there was a tap on his shoulder. He turned quickly, flattening himself against the bar as he looked at the two girls.
"So, you're this Charles she's been talking about," one of them said.
"What makes you think you're good enough for our Y/N?" The other asked.
Charles wasn't entirely sure how to answer. But it confirmed one thing for him, that his friends didn't know it was all fake. "I... uh, I think she's really great," he said, drumming his fingers against the bar. "She's fun, she's pretty and she's sharp."
But still, her friends glared. "You're way in over your head," the first said. She let out a dry laugh and shook her head, returning to her drink.
For the next few minutes, things were uncomfortable. Charles stood there, watching the girls to the left and the pair to his right. He watched as the man kissed the princess's head and turned his attention to Charles.
"Smoke break," he said, pulling the carton of cigarettes from his pocket. He grabbed Charles arm and pulled him out of the bar.
Charles spared one look at the princess, but she turned away, still wearing a scowl.
Once outside, the man leaned against the wall and lit his cigarette. "Want one?" He asked, offering the pack to Charles. But he shook his head. "Ah, right. You're a high performance athlete, and all that." He placed his cigarette between his lips and offered his hand to Charles. "I'm Luc."
"Charles." But Luc definitely already knew that.
Luc drew in a breath, bringing the smoke to his lungs before he exhaled. "You want a bit of advice for the princess" He asked, but Charles was pretty sure he wasn't going to get a choice in the matter. "She hates who she is. She hates being a princess so maybe stop reminding her of it."
"I... thanks," he said, leaning beside him on the wall.
But Luc wasn't finished. "She must like you," he said. "Or she never would have introduced you to us." He tapped the ash from his cigarette and placed it back between his lips. "You can go now."
Charles did just that. He thanked Luc once again and headed back inside the bar. Immediately he walked over to the bar. "Gin and tonic, please," he said to the girl behind the bar. She took a moment to make it and then passed it to him.
He picked it up and walked it over to the prince- Y/N. He walked it over to her and placed it down in front of her. "A peace offering," he said.
She picked it up and sipped, all while staring at him. When she finished it in four large gulps and placed it down, she smiled. "Now you know what not to do."
She was too drunk for proper conversation, Charles realised as she leaned against him. But he still tried. He'd get her home soon enough. "I've got a question," he said and she looked up at him. "Your friend Luc, why doesn't Henri have you 'date' him?" He asked quietly.
Suddenly she was laughing, a laugh that echoed around the hole in the wall. "Charles," she managed through her laugh. "Charlie. He's famously gay."
Charles couldn't help it as his cheeks reddened. He had no idea who Luc Sinclair was.
Conversation flowed somewhat easily. But, before he knew it, he had his arm around her waist, her arm around his neck, as he carried her out to the car. "You're wasted," he said as he pulled open the car door and helped her into the seat.
She giggled as she looked up at him. "Get used to it if you're gonna be dating me," she said and Charles shut the door.
For the entire ride to her apartment, she fiddled with the radio. But Charles didn't much mind.
When they got to her building, she climbed out of the car and began stumbling towards the lobby doors. Charles was quick to follow, wrapping his arm around her to keep her upright. "What're you doing?" She asked, stopping in front of the doors.
"Helping you up to your apartment," he answered.
She shook her head. "You can't see my apartment."
Charles pulled open the lobby door and helped her inside. "No, Charles," she moaned as he led her to the elevator. "It's all messy and not very princess like at all."
Well, Charles didn't much care about that.

FFXIV: You want to put on the tree-topper but you're too short
Tumblr media
A/N: Day 7
Characters: Ameliance, Emet-Selch, Erenville, Fandaniel, Fourchenault, Hythlodaeus, Jullus
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ameliance knew there would be a complication when you expressed wanting to put on the tree topper. While it was perfectly fine that you wanted to, you were short in stature and looked like a little doll next to the ginormous tree. But she wasn't going to discourage you. She knew you well enough that you would find a solution and watched as the cogs in your head started to turn. When you'd momentarily stepped out of the room and return with a ladder, she would smile to herself and marvel at the decorated tree.
"Shall I hold the ladder for you, my dear?"
Tumblr media
Emet-Selch had no plan to decorate for the holidays. He had told you many times but yet you still begged asked him to do it with you. And with great annoyance, he obliged only so you would stop bothering him about it. And here you both were, around the tree putting on the finishing touches. All that was left was the tree-topper.
"You won't be able to reach, just hand to me."
When refused him, he pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a long sigh.
"Then how do you plan to get it up there without flattening yourself with the tree? And if you think I would help you redecorate it if you were to survive, you will be sorrowfully mistaken."
"Lift me up will, you?"
While it would have been simple to just pick you up under the arms and lift up, he was running out of any patience he might have had left. Instead, he grabbed you by the scruff and dangled up high enough that you could successfully put on the topper before plopping you down.
"It is done now. There is no need to bother me further about any of your festivities."
Tumblr media
He knew that you wouldn't be able to reach the top of the tree on your own. He had told you this, but you insisted that you could. When the time came to put on the tree-topper, he watched as you reached up on your tip-toes, hoping it was enough. It wasn't. Even the step-stool you begrudgingly pulled over didn't help.
"Come here, I will put you on my shoulders so you can reach."
Tumblr media
Neither of you were tall enough to put on the tree-topper, but that didn't hinder you. In fact, it just caused more competition among you. You and Fandaniel had been arguing over who would put on the tree-topper since you suggested decorating the tree together. And now the two of you tried and failed as you attempted to put on the topper. And eventually you do, but it caused the tree to come down on both of you, shattering all the bulbs.
But at least the tree-topper was on.
Tumblr media
"I can put the toper on for you, you know. You don't need to put yourself in harm's way."
Once you expressed that you wanted to put the tree-topper on the tree in the foyer, he tried to convince you out of it. You were short but you weren't fragile, he knew this. However, he didn't want to see you get hurt if something were to go wrong. He didn't want to take you to the healer just because you were careless.
"There are smaller trees you can put a topper on. Might that suffice?"
He knew it wasn't. You were deadset on putting on the topper on this tree. You wanted to do it your way and without his help since he's complained. So he had no choice but to watch as you carry in a chair and stand on it. You stand on your tip-toes and reach towards the tree. And as he predicted, the chair slipped out from under you. By sheer reflex, he catches you.
"Thanks."
"Will allow me my help now?"
Tumblr media
He thought it was adorable that you wanted to put the topper on the tree at your height. When it was time for you to attempt it, he would sit back and watch you struggle. Tip-toes? That won't work. Your small ladder? Not tall enough. You just looked so cute when you were frustrated.
"Hyth, you're tall."
"Thank you for noticing. Do you wish for me to assist you?"
"Please."
When you shoot him a glare, he only laughs before lifting you up so you could finally reach.
Tumblr media
Both of you were decorating the tree with little to no care. You were happy to be celebrating the season together. In fact, he'd been awaiting this day for weeks. He had chopped down the tree himself and you supplied the decorations. It was fine until you both realized just how tall the tree was compared to you.
This was a predicament, wasn't it?
"I think even if I put you on my shoulders, you would not reach the top."

Dear Master Rolan
Based on a prompt by @faerunsbest, an AU in which Amelie is not "Tav" and instead went on the proposed trip to Calimshan to find a husband. She begins a correspondence with Rolan after the events of the game. SFW.
Dear Master Rolan,
I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Lady Amelie Wildheart, and I am writing to you to inquire if there are any tomes on wild magic you would recommend. As I’m sure you can guess, I’m a wild magic sorcerer. Most of my life, the bursts of wild magic that come from me are normally “adorable” according to my mother, Countess Luci Wildheart. However, they have on the rare occasion caused varying degrees of harm, much to my immense sadness and heartbreak. Perhaps there is some research or theory if wild magic bursts can be controlled in some way or prevent more deadly reactions.
Thank you so much for your time.
Sincerely,
Lady Amelie Wildheart
Rolan held the letter to his chest and sighed. If he was having an awful day (like today), then he would reread letters from Amelie.
No, you fool. Lady Amelie. She is a lady.
And my friend.
And I’ve fallen for her even though we’ve never met.
Letting out a frustrated growl, he folded the letter and put it back in its envelope. He then opened a locked drawer in his desk and placed the letter inside. Despite his mood, he could not resist smiling. In the past several months, his correspondence with her had only grown and deepened since her first letter. Rolan spent no small amount of time scouring Ramazith’s Tower for any and all tomes on wild magic, eagerly writing her a reply. What began as polite soon evolved into friendship which then changed into—
No.
She said herself she’s on a tour to Calimshan to hopefully find love. Her mother’s idea apparently after several failed attempts at arranging a marriage for her. How…how…can she still be unattached? She is wonderful and kind, thoughtful and funny, sweet with hints of spice.
No.
She calls me “dear friend.”
But…
He hastily searched for the envelope containing her latest letter.
Dear Rolan,
I hope this letter finds you well. I didn’t manage to find a copy of “Wild Magic: A Reconsideration.” However, I will be able to personally borrow it from you in a few weeks, because I’m finally coming home!
I’m so excited to be back in the Gate and see how the reconstruction is going (and maybe lend a mage hand or two to help). I can’t wait to see Mum and my friends.
I can’t wait to finally see you in person and meet Cal and Lia! Would you mind if I came by Ramazith’s Tower after I’ve settled in and have tea? If not, you are very much welcome at my home or Wildheart Manor.
Of course, please do not feel that we are obliged to do so. I know you are a very busy man with running the tower and shop as well as your other duties as Master of Ramazith’s Tower.
But if you would indulge a dear friend, then I would be most happy.
Yours,
Amelie
“Yours. How I wish I was yours.” He traced her signature with a clawed finger, frowning. “I would—”
“Rolan! Rolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!” Lia’s voice called from the other side of his study door. “There’s someone here asking for you!”
I don’t have any appointments or meetings…do I?
“Who?”
“She said she’s here for Wild Magic: A Reconsideration.”
Rolan, Master of Ramazith’s Tower, nearly knocked over a sniggering Lia as he rushed out of his study and down the stairs to the main level of the shop.
Is it…
Could it be?
Her?
Then he remembered that he only knew Amelie was a half-elf and nothing else about her appearance.
“Excuse me, are you Rolan? The Master of Ramazith’s Tower?”
He turned to see a woman (a half-elf!!!!) with the most beautiful golden eyes staring back at him.
“Yes.”
Why is my heart pounding? Why does my tongue feel so clumsy and full in my mouth? Why do I feel sweaty? I JUST BATHED THIS MORNING.
The woman smiled. “Oh Rolan, it’s so lovely to see you. I’m Amelie…”
He fairly certain she was still speaking but could not make out the words.
Good gods.
She is stunning.
Gold eyes that shine with warmth. Copper colored hair. Freckles! Such lovely freckles. A sweet smile. Perfect, very kissable lips…NO.
She’s got a nice bosom…NO.
No.
Calm yourself, damn you!
“Rolan?”
He blinked. “Yes! Forgive me, I…it’s been…”
Amelie frowned and wrung her hands. “Oh. If it’s a bad time, then I can return another day. You see, I arrived home yesterday and wanted to see you, but—”
Acting on I’m not entirely sure what, he took her hands in his. “You are welcome here any day, any time, my lady. I would be most pleased if you stayed. Please.” Her hands are so soft and covered in more freckles. Who knew I was exchanging letters with a goddess?
“Really?” she asked with more a little hope. “I don’t want to impose, and I once again must ask for your forgiveness for coming unannounced.”
Please don’t say come.
He cleared his throat but before he could speak, she did.
“You see, Rolan…there was a reason why I came to see you and not simply because of a book.” Her words spilled out of her like a babbling brook, something Rolan found profoundly adorable. “I—”
Giving her hands a squeeze, he spoke softly, “Let us speak in my study. In private, my lady.”
Away from customers but mainly Cal and Lia, who are staring and giggling.
Fuck.
A light blush painted the half-elf’s cheeks. “Oh. Yes. Of course. Please, lead the way.”
As Rolan offered his arm as they ascended to the second floor, Lia elbowed her brother.
“How much do you want to bet that they’re both so awkward they don’t confess?” she laughed.
Cal rolled his eyes. “You have got to be kidding. Rolan has an entire speech ready, which I know because he insisted, I listen to him while he ‘practiced.’”
Trying not to laugh more, Lia glanced to the second floor and watched as Rolan and Amelie entered his study. “Don’t mess this up, big brother…”

Characters: Alphinaud Leveilleur, Ameliance Leveilleur, Jullus pyr Norbanus Expansion: Endwalker Rating: T Summary: Alphinaud is embarrassed, Jullus is Nostalgic, and Ameliance knows all. Notes: Now with new taller Alphinauds!
Tumblr media
“Mother, please. I'm nineteen summers. I didn't need help picking out clothing,” Alphinaud whined, arms outstretched as a warm jacket, gloves, and a scarf were tossed into them.
“I hardly ever get to shop for you anymore. Though from what I hear from Miss Taru I probably should as you have yet to understand the value of a gil,” Ameliance hummed, turning and smiling at her son as she swapped out the scarf for a much warmer one.
Jullus let out a laugh then tried to cover it with a cloth as his friend's mother looked his way. He swallowed as she moved before him and draped the exchanged scarf around his neck then touched his cheek with a reassuring smile.
“Would you like something warmer, Jullus dear? It's rather nippy and I'm sure one of Forchenout’s coats will fit you. Though it might run long,” she asked.
Jullus stood there, about to reassure her that Garlemald was far colder; however, found himself frozen as she gazed sweetly down at him. “Put on your coat dear. It's nippy out,” his mother's voice echoed along the theater of his memory, her smile replacing that of Ameliance’s for a brief moment.
“Oh dear. Alphinaud he looks a little under the weather,” Ameliance fretted, putting the back of her hand on his forehead.
“I'm fine. Thank you ma’am,” Jullus assured her.
Alphinaud frowned, tugging lightly on Jullus’s sleeve. “If you are unwell I’ll take you to my room to rest.”
“I’ve already taken to preparing the guest room for his stay,” Ameliance corrected.
“Mother,” Alphinaud protested before lowering his head, ears going red as she gave him a silencing smile.
“I really am fine,” Jullus assured them both. “And I do not mind sharing a room with Alphinaud. You do not have to arrange extra accommodations for me ma’am.”
Amilance shook her head, straightening the collar on Jullus’s coat before zipping it up for him. “My son's clumsy attempts at hiding his affection for you reminds me so much of when his father was young and put to the blush by myself. As such, I’d like to ensure the finest accommodations for you in the opposite wing and that you stay properly dressed on your visit,” she said, smiling the entire time.
Jullus swallowed, nodding. “Yes, understood. I shall be happy wherever you see fit,” he said, Alphinaud beside him hiding his face in his hands.

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 49 - Moving On
Beginning || Previous || Next
            Alix and Adrien arrived at the Kubdel home. Alix headed up to her room while Adrien lingered in the sitting room. He looked around for a moment before his phone went off. He looked down to see Amelie calling him. He took a deep breath and answered it.
            “Hello?” Adrien said.
            “Adrien? Oh, thank goodness! You’re safe, right? I just saw the news of the mansion being reduced to rubble. You weren’t there, were you?”
            “No. I was with Alix.”
            Amelie sighed in relief. “Oh, thank goodness. Are you still with him?”
            “Yes, I’m still with her and her family.”
            “Her who? Your girlfriend?”
            “No. Alix. I’m with her and her family.”
            “Oh! I see. Well, would you be a dear and send me their address? I could get a hotel, but I want to stay with you to make sure you are alright. I would technically be your legal guardian until we know what happens with Gabriel.”
            A lump caught in Adrien’s throat and words left his mouth before he realized them. “Aunt Amelie, would it be possible to get the Kubdels to have guardianship over me? I don’t want to be Gabriel anymore.”
            “I… I’m not sure. I think so? I… I would need to talk to some legal people and see what can be arranged.”
            “I would appreciate it. They’ve become my family since… since Mom died.”
            A long pause. “I understand. I’ll see what I can do, but I will admit, I need some help. I’ve checked everywhere I could in Paris, but I still can’t find Felix. I have a hunch he returned to London, but with all the fuss, I can’t spare the moment. Would you be able to check on him and bring him back here, please?”
            “Yeah, I can.”
            “Oh, thank you, dearie. I’ll hopefully see you soon. Kiss, darling.”
            Adrien hung up the phone and sighed.
            “If you’re going after Felix, see what’s wrong with him,” Alix said.
            Adrien jumped and looked at Alix. “What do you mean?”
            “He was masquerading as you to get close to Marinette. I have a feeling being caught in a lie sent him running.”
            Adrien grimaced. “I… ok. I’ll be using the horse to get there. Will you be coming with me?”
            Alix shook her head. “We need to inform the team. I’ll be doing that while you help Felix. Sound good?”
            Adrien nodded. He texted Amelie the address, put on the horse miraculous, and opened a portal. He stepped into the Graham De Vanily home. He de-transformed and walked around until he found Felix on the balcony. He stepped outside and sat beside Felix, who was curled up on a chair.
            “Hey,” Adrien said.
            Felix didn’t answer.
            “So, Aunt Amelie is looking for you. She asked me to check to see if you were here. She’d have come herself, but there is trouble back in Paris that demanded her attention.”
            Silence.
            Adrien grimaced. “Felix, is everything alright?”
            “Why do you care?” Felix hissed.
            “Because Alix told me she saw you with Marinette, pretending to be me. Felix, what’s going on? You only pretend to be me if you want to cause trouble. At least it feels that way. Like when you tried to ruin my friendships back around All Saints Day. Now this? What’s going on?”
            “You wouldn’t understand.”
            “I would if you explain it. Didn’t we once promise to always be there for each other? I know we haven’t been keeping to that, and it may be a foolish promise to keep, but we’re all we have as family. We need to be there for each other, or we’ll lose each other. Please, Felix, what’s wrong?”
            A long moment of silence passed. “Kagami.”
            “Kagami? What happened with her?”
            Felix shifted and looked up with red, puffy eyes. “After Mom got you out of your arranged marriage, Tomoe, Kagami’s mom, snapped off on Gabriel. She had been told that Gabriel would weasel out of the deal and betray her. She swore that we’d never hear or see from her or Kagami ever again. And true to her word, I haven’t heard from Kagami at all.”
            Adrien’s eyes widened. “Nothing at all? No calls? No texts? Nothing.”
            “Nothing.”
            Adrien’s jaw dropped. “I… that’s awful. Why didn’t you say anything?”
            “What am I supposed to say, Adrien? Oh, hey, by the way, the girl that is my sun and moon, the light of my life, is just gone. Stolen away by her wicked mother and I’m too much of a coward to go and find her in fear of Mayura finding me. I’m pathetic.”
            “If you still love Kagami, then why Marinette?”
            Another long pause. “Because she showed me love. The same love I felt from Kagami. Love that wasn’t obligatory like Amelie’s, but voluntary. Even though she thought I was you, I knew I could keep up a façade to fool her. I did once, I figured I could do it again.”
            “Felix, that’s wrong.”
            “And what else am I supposed to do, Adrien? I lost the girl I loved because I opened my big mouth, and I thought I could get by off your discarded rubbish. I just… I want to be loved. I want to feel wanted. I want to feel like I’m useful, but who would want or need a monster?”
            “You’re not a monster, Felix. You may be rough around the edges, but you are still more human despite everything. Trust me. I’ve met a fair share of people that are far more monstrous than you.”
            “That doesn’t matter, Adrien. So long as I exist, I am a monster. A horrible little monster.”
            “Felix, who told you that you were a monster?”
            A long pause. “Colt.”
            “And Colt knew that you are a senti-monster?”
            “I think so. At least, I would assume so given his ravings about the peacock miraculous.”
            “Well, Colt’s wrong about you, Felix. You are no monster. In fact, we can prove him wrong!”
            “Yeah? And just how do you plan on accomplishing that?”
            “Uh, one moment.”
            Adrien pulled out his phone and messaged Alix, asking for the ladybug earrings to make Felix human like she did with him. He waited a moment before she agreed and told him to open a portal. He grinned, fed Kaalki, and transformed again. He opened a portal and Alix held out her earrings. He took them, de-transformed, then unified Plagg and Tikki.
            “What are you doing?” Felix asked.
            “Giving you something that was given to me,” Speciosa answered.
            “Why?”
            “Think of it as our chance to move on and become more than those that hold our chains ever thought we could be. Gabriel, Colt, even Mayura. Let’s show them we can be more.”
            Felix eyed Speciosa suspiciously.
            Speciosa smiled and held out his hand. “Trust me.”
            Felix hesitated before he took Speciosa’s hand. His eyes widened as light wrapped around him when he did. He panicked and swatted at the light while Speciosa altered reality to make Felix human. The light faded and Felix felt a heavy weight leave him.
            “What… what did you do to me? I feel… different,” Felix said.
            “I did what Bug did for me. We’re human, Felix.”
            Felix’s eyes widened as he looked down at Colt’s ring. He reached for it and slowly removed it. He let out a breath once it was off. His eyes misted over, and a smile spread on his lips. He erupted into manic laughter as he threw the ring over the balcony before he hugged Speciosa.
            “Thank you. I… I feel free. I thought freedom was when Colt finally died, but I was wrong. This is it.”
            Speciosa smiled and hugged Felix. “We’re free. And there’s something else.”
            Felix stepped back as Speciosa held out the horse miraculous. “What’s this?”
            “Let’s get you the peacock miraculous, and find Kagami. You in?”
            Felix considered, then grinned. He took the glasses with a nod. “Let’s kick that bitch’s ass.”
            “Soon, at least. But let’s head back to the Kubdels. We’ll be staying there since Mayura destroyed the mansion.”
            “Wait, she did?”
            “Y-yeah. I, uh, yeah.”
            Felix deadpanned. “Were you in the mansion?”
            “I… I was, but don’t tell Amelie! I lied and said I was with the Kubdels when that all happened. Please don’t tell her.”
            “I suppose I won’t. You did help me in a way I never imagined. Besides, neither of us would benefit if she knew.”
            Speciosa breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you.”
            Felix waved his hand dismissingly as he fed Kaalki and transformed. He opened a portal back to the Kubdels. He and Speciosa stepped through into Alix’s room where she was on a video call with everyone.
            “Absolutely not, Luka! There’s no way in hell I’m giving you back the rabbit miraculous after you basically handed it over on a damn silver platter!” Alix roared.
            “You can’t do that! Please, I need it back!” Luka begged.
            “No. Fluff is not a damn toy that you can so easily misplace. She is the evolution of time and capable of traveling along those points. We cannot allow her to fall into our enemy’s hands. Just fucking imagine if Mayura wanted more than me just listening to her bullshit. We’d have lost it for sure,” Alix scolded.
            Speciosa de-unified and de-transformed before he stepped into the camera. “What’s going on here?”
            “This was easier than just texting the group chat,” Alix answered.
            “And she wanted to scold Luka mostly face-to-face,” Juleka muttered.
            “I mean, can you blame her, girl? We can’t lose more miraculous and if we lost Fluff, we’d be in real trouble,” Alya commented.
            “Well, duh. And it seems obvious your idiot brother can’t be trusted with it,” Chloe remarked.
            “Hey! He may be an idiot, but only I can call him that!” Juleka hissed.
            Chloe rolled her eyes while Sabrina moved the camera in front of her.
            “Adrien? Are you ok? Alix filled us in what happened at the mansion today,” Sabrina said.
            “Not something I’d want to go through again, but I do feel better now than I ever did.”
            Sabrina sighed a breath of relief. “I’m glad, but do let me know if something is off at all.”
            Adrien grinned. “You know I will.”
            “While it is reassuring to see Adrien safe, what are we supposed to do about Mayura? We aren’t really going to leave her to her own devices until this Order shows up, are we?” Max asked.
            “Do you have any better ideas?” Alix countered.
            Max fell silent.
            “Well, we can’t do nothing. We gotta stop her!” Kim yelled.
            “And how do you propose that we do?” Adrien asked.
            “Well, uh, I don’t know. We just gotta do something,” Kim argued.
            “Like what? Alix and Adrien both had their butts kicked by Mayura as those freaky fusions. She seems to be several steps ahead of us. There’s not even bringing in the fact of finding her. She only ever comes out when she feels like it,” Alya pointed out.
            “And when she does come out, it is usually when we are alone and vulnerable,” Alix added while she glared at Luka.
            Luka glared back. “Why are you blaming me? You’re the one that broke my heart.”
            “Luka, hush,” Rose hissed.
            “And you’re just the little bitch boy that can’t deal with his own shit and would rather repress it all like a fucking punk ass bitch wannabe!” Alix roared.
            Rose sighed and rubbed her forehead.
            Luka opened his mouth as Juleka slapped her hand over it.
            “Stop. You’re not going to win and the last thing I want to deal with is you hurting your own feelings,” Juleka muttered.
            “Yes, please. This is getting quite tedious, and pathetic. Don’t think you’re special just because Alix doesn’t want to be with you, music boy,” Chloe commented.
            “Can we please not talk about who I am and who I am not fucking?” Alix yelled.
            Zoe stepped into view. “What is Alix yelling about?”
            “We’re discussing the string of broken hearts she’s left behind. The most recent being Luka, the guy with that freaky goth chick,” Chloe said in English.
            “I heard that,” Juleka remarked.
            Chloe shrugged. “Like you weren’t supposed to?”
            Zoe squinted as she looked at the screen. “That guy?”
            “Yes,” Chloe answered.
            “Really? Him? He looks like he sits in a café all day drinking soy chai tea lattes like a middle-aged housewife while writing the cringiest poetry known to the internet,” Zoe remarked.
            Alix sighed and rubbed the side of her head while Adrien and Felix shared confused glances. Max raised a brow while Kim snorted. Ivan, Mylene, Marc, and Nathaniel shared shocked glances while Sabrina’s eyes widened, and she pursed her lips. Alya’s eyes widened as she hid her smile while Chloe snickered.
            “What? Am I wrong? It’s cute he likes her, but what chance in hell did he have with a baddy like her?” Zoe added.
            Juleka pulled Luka off screen as Luka’s face twisted with rage. Rose offered an awkward smile before she cut the video on their end.
            “Fuck’s sake! Enough!” Alix yelled.
            “Yeah, I don’t think-,” Adrien started.
            “I agree. So, Chloe, you available later?” Kim asked.
            “Kim! Now is not the time!” Alix yelled.
            “Why not? If we’re waiting two months for this Order to show up, why not now?” Kim protested.
            Chloe groaned. “Never going to happen, Kim.”
            “What did the heifer say?” Zoe asked.
            Chloe guffawed while Kim’s jaw dropped in offense.
            “I am no heifer. I’m a strong, perfect oxen specimen,” Kim boasted.
            Zoe opened her mouth, but Chloe pushed her aside.
            “I am done listening to all this,” Chloe said as she cut the call.
            Adrien flinched as he looked at Alix, whose eye twitched. “Are you ok?”
            “I. Am. Fine. Perfectly fine. Look, before anymore of you leave, we have two months, alright? Two months before the Order shows up. Mayura will likely lay low for the time, so we should do the same. Keep up normal patrols, take it easy, and don’t do anything stupid,” Alix explained.
            “Same to you,” Alya remarked.
            “Yeah, well, no promises. Alright, this is over. Have a good evening, everyone.”
            Alix cut the call and collapsed onto her bed.
            “You sure you ok?” Adrien asked.
            “Yeah, I’m fine. Just draining dealing with stupid,” Alix answered.
            “Understandable. I was getting tired just listening to all that,” Felix said.
            Alix snorted and grabbed her roller blades. “I’m heading out. I’ll catch you two later.”
            Adrien and Felix shared a look and shrug before they headed downstairs after Alix. They stepped into the sitting room to find Alim and Amelie chatting over tea. Amelie turned and gasped when she saw Felix. She put her cup down, jumped to her feet, and hugged Felix.
            “There you are, my precious baby boy! Don’t you ever do that again! Do you understand me?” Amelie scolded.
            “I won’t,” Felix said.
            Amelie squealed and smothered Felix with affection.
            Alim cleared his throat and got everyone’s attention. “We were just discussing potential arrangements for this turbulent time for you, Adrien.”
            “Oh?” Adrien said.
            “For the time, you are all welcome to stay here. We have a pair of spare rooms, and the sofa. We may not have the amenities you may be accustomed to, but it’ll do in a pinch. And I’ll be working Amelie to assist in sorting out your living arrangements moving forward, Adrien,” Alim explained.
            Amelie giggled and hugged Alim’s arm. “Such a gentleman you are. A far better man than my Colt ever was.”
            “Was?”
            “Oh, yes. Piss stain died over a year.”
            “Oh. I’m sorry to hear that.”
            “You don’t have to. Man was an awful piece of work, but you know how Americans are.”
            Alim gave an uneasy smile before he removed Amelie from his arm. “Anyway, we’ll get things arranged for your stay. I’m not sure if anything can be salvaged from the wreck of your home, Adrien, but I’m sure-,” Alim started.
            “Oh, no need to worry. He and my Felix are like twins without being twins. Adrien can surely borrow some of Felix’s clothes,” Amelie interjected.
            Adrien grimaced, then forced a smile and nodded.
            “Fine,” Felix said.
            “Why don’t you two head off and get some of Felix’s stuff and my own. I’ll handle the sleeping arrangements with Alim,” Amelie said as she grabbed Alim’s arm again.
            “Mom, come with us. You’re making the man uncomfortable,” Felix said.
            Amelie’s eyes widened as she looked at Alim before she let him go. “Oh, I do apologize. I’ve always had this thing with touch. My parents tried to train it out of me, but you know, old habits are hard to kick. Especially when Emilie helped to fuel it.”
            “Well, I do thank you for telling me. It’ll make the touching slightly less uncomfortable.”
            “Right, uh, I’ll go with the boys. Sorry, again.”
            Amelie bowed her head and moved next to Felix and Adrien. Adrien fed Kaalki while Felix transformed. Llameri opened a portal to the Graham De Vanily residence. Llameri closed the portal behind him and de-transformed. Amelie took a deep breath before she squealed.
            “Oh, Felix, I’m in love!”
            “Pardon?”
            “Did you see the way he looked at me with such kindness and compassion? Oh, be still my heart!”
            Felix pursed his lips and furrowed his brow as Amelie continued to her room.
            “She wasn’t talking about Alim, was she?” Adrien asked.
            “I fear she might be,” Felix said.
            Adrien’s eyes lit up. “That’s amazing, Felix! Maybe Alix will even become your sister.”
            Felix’s face twisted into an unrecognizable expression. “Lovely.”
            “Isn’t it? Perhaps we should-.”
            “Get packed? Excellent idea. Let’s go.”
            “Oh, right. Of course. Let’s go.”

3. a song that reminds me of them
oh my god i am SO glad u asked bc i have so many adrien songs!!! i could give u a whole playlist (and they're all taylor swift lmao) but i will try to limit myself. except mirrorball. i can't hold back on mirrorball.
mirrorball is just like,, adrien's psyche. in case you'd like a reference i direct you to this edit.
basic breakdown: adrien has spent his whole life moulding himself to fit the vision of others — he tries to live up to his parents expectations, to his classmates, to ladybug's.
like. he literally goes as far as creating an entire new identity (cat walker) to stay by ladybug's side and still encourage her to be the best version of herself ('But I'm still on my tallest tiptoes / Spinning in my highest heels, love / Shining just for you').
he's also cripplingly self sacrificing. he'll bite his tongue and give up his own happiness if it means satisfying the people around him, like his father ('And when I break it's in a million pieces' & 'Drunk as they watch my shattered edges glisten').
he reflects the greatness of everyone around him, determined to uplift the people in his life and 'show you every version of yourself', even at his own expense. marinette literally says it in season 5 - 'sometimes the good you see in other people is a reflection of your own'. god he is so mirrorball coded it HURTS
other adrien songs (all of these are about his relationship with gabriel):
tolerate it - 'I know my love should be celebrated / But you tolerate it'
you all over me - 'But no amount of freedom gets you clean / I've still got you all over me' ESPECIALLY post s5
dear john - 'You paint me a blue sky / And go back and turn it to rain / And I lived in your chess game / But you changed the rules every day'
my tears ricochet - 'And you can aim for my heart, go for blood / But you would still miss me in your bones'
the lucky one - 'And they tell you that you're lucky, but you're so confused / 'Cause you don't feel pretty you just feel used' ok this ones not so much about gabriel but the responsibilities forced on him BY gabriel
7. A quote of them you remember
"i've lost everything" "you haven't lost me" "you and me?" "you, the best superhero there ever was; them, the people of paris; and me, your loyal partner"
if the strike back end scene has 100 fans i'm one of them. if the strike back end scene has 10 fans i'm one of them. if the strike back end scene has 1 fan it's me. if the strike back end scene has 0 fans i'm dead.
ajfdshk i'm sorry i don't even have coherent thoughts about it i just LOVE ladynoir
10. Describe the character in one sentence
in desperate need of therapy and a loving home environment.
16. A childhood headcanon
gabriel never let him go to disneyland. 'it's unsanitary and filled with commers, it's not somewhere an agreste should be.' so one day, felix and adrien hatched a plan to switch places so he could go with amelie. emilie and amelie instantly knew they'd swapped, but decided to swap places too so adrien could have a fun day out with his mum. it was their little secret and he treasured every minute :)
(also i wanna say that adrien loves ratatouille because there's gotta be a joke about being a kid being controlled by a french rat in there somewhere)
thank you for the ask :)

For the ask: 1, 21, 34 and 47
So sorry for my late reply, dear! My mind's been all over the place lately 😅
Anyway, let's go!
1. who is/are your comfort character(s)?
That's an interesting question! I had to think for a while, actually haha. I think it's Amelie since I can see how she inspired me in one or another way. And also Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh (what can I say? we're both melancholic creatures)
21. something you've kept since childhood?
There are actually a few items I've kept since I was a child (so 'till like 9 or 10 years of age): a sweater we got when I was 8. It was in a very good condition despite being sold at a thrift shop. It still fits me even tho my body went through some changes (I guess it's due to the fact that it is loose fit type of sweater). Then a soft figurine of one of Teletubies my mom got me from Denmark when I was 9 (she went there with her choir) & a small Hello Kitty handbag my mom (again) got me when I was 8 or 9. If my memory serves me right she bought it in The Netherlands where she was with her choir (again! one thing you should know is that my mom has a very strong singing voice & used to be a part of a choir which was a part of folk ensemble... so she visited many countries in Europe & other continents). Actually I think I would still be able to incorporate it into my wardrobe 😊 (I'm serious)
34. is there a song you know every word to by heart?
I think the least surprising answer would be: about 80% of Depeche Mode songs. I'm not joking. But! Some random & more surprising ones: The Fox by Ylvis, Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley, German theme song for Sailor Moon (I was in primary school, didn't know any German, but would perfectly recite the lyrics of a theme song lol)
47. what was the last message you sent?
" Aš jau netoli tavęs" (I am near your house) Sent to my cousin yesterday, just wanted to let her know in case she was napping or so 😁
Once again, thank you for your questions!

#FFXIVWrite2023 Day 23: Suit
Time for some more of my vague future semi-au.
Llewellyn stared at his reflection, inspecting his hair for some invisible flaw for the umpteenth time. Around him, his younger brothers and sisters were putting the finishing touches on their own attire.
“If your vanity makes us all late to the ceremony, I’m going to kick your arse.” Gwynedd shook her head with a smile on her face.
“I’m not being vain! I- I just want everything to be perfect, and that includes me.” Llewellyn frowned at his sister. Their mother chuckled at the both of them.
“Let’s not squabble today, aye?” Angharad brushed down her eldest son’s lapel with her hand, smoothing out the blue-black fabric and admiring the subtle embroidery. “You look so handsome, Welly. My little lad, all grown up and getting married. Feels like just yesterday you were a babe in arms.” She began to tear up. “I am so proud of you.”
“Mu-um, stop! You’re going to make me start crying already!” Llewellyn sniffled. He took a deep breath. “Alright. No more mushy stuff until after the ceremony.”
“Aye, we’ll keep it together.” Rhodri took his wife’s place in front of Llewellyn, pinning a boutonniere to his son’s lapel. The small flowers had been cast in steel taken from the prow of The Hullripper and it was a replica of the one Rhodri had worn to marry Angharad. “Now we wait for the signal, I suppose.”
As if on cue, Gwynedd’s linkpearl chimed in her ear. It was Tataru, asking if they were nearly ready. The rest of her family watched with bated breath.
“Aye, ready when you are.” A pause. “Of course she’s not answering her linkpearl, she’s as bad as Estinien. Don’t tell her I said that.” Another pause, Gwynedd sighed. “I’ll go check on them. Calm yourself, Tataru, we still have a full bell. Alright. Bye.” She released the pearl in her ear and looked at her parents and brother. “Alisaie won’t answer Tataru’s calls, so I’ve got to go make sure everything is progressing smoothly. Be back soon.” Gwynedd explained as she quickly ducked out of her family’s dressing suite.
~~~
“Just breathe, my dear, or you’ll pass out.” Ameliance put reassuring hands on her son’s shoulders, watching him in the mirror as he took a deep breath in and out. “It’s alright to be nervous. I certainly was when I was in your position.” She looked over her shoulder at Fourchenault, who was sitting in a nearby chair and looking taciturn as ever.
“I know. Thank you, mother.” Alphinaud straightened the bottom of his ornate suitcoat, the cerulean and white fabrics shimmering faintly like the inside of a seashell. Tataru had truly outdone herself. “The waiting is the hardest part. Where is Alisaie?”
“I’m right here, don’t worry.” Alisaie emerged from behind one of the dressing screens, smoothing down the crimson silk of her dress. “Do you really think this suits me?”
“It does. You look lovely.” Ameliance switched to adjusting little things on her daughter’s outfit, content now with Alphinaud’s appearance. “Fourchenault, don’t you have something to say to our son?” She fixed her husband with a subtle glare. Fourchenault sighed and got up to stand next to Alphinaud. It was a little jarring how his son was now just as tall as himself, rather than the bumbling toddler or diminutive teenager that still lived in his memories.
“You have… certainly undergone much change in these last few years.” He began tentatively. “You are truly a man in your own right, able to make decisions for yourself, even if they are not necessarily decisions I would approve of.” Alphinaud purposefully kept his expression at a pleasant neutral. He knew full well that his father did not approve of Llewellyn for a variety of reasons, each more exasperating than the last. “Regardless of my opinions,” Fourchenault continued. “What matters most is that you are happy. That is all I have ever truly wanted for you and your sister, and I hope that you are happy.”
“I am happy, father, I can promise you that.” Alphinaud reassured him. A silence fell over the room for a moment, then a knock came at the door. “I’ll get that.” He hurried over to find Gwynedd on the other side of the door.
“Oh my gods, look at you!” She exclaimed when she saw Alphinaud. “You look incredible!”
“Thank you, Gwyn.” He smiled sheepishly, then his expression shifted to that of mild concern. “Is aught amiss? Shouldn’t you be helping Llewellyn get dressed?”
“Everything is fine, don’t you worry. Only here because someone,” She looked around Alphinaud to frown at Alisaie. “Doesn’t answer her linkpearl.”
“I took it out to get dressed!” Alisaie shouted back, flipping off the Warrior of Light from across the room.
“Aye, sure, make your excuses. You’re not the one with Tataru on your arse.” Gwynedd rolled her eyes. “Just let her know that you’re ready, alright?”
“Fine, fine, whatever.” Alisaie waves a dismissive hand. “Are we running short on time?”
“We have about three quarters of a bell. Now, I have to get back to help herd the little ones, so call Tataru. See you soon.” Gwynedd ducked out and walked quickly back towards where her family were waiting. Alisaie grabbed her linkpearl and stuck it in her ear.
How is Yui's relationship with Ariadna, Sabine, Naomi and Amelie? 👀 Do Sabine and Amelie have any love interests (maybe some Diaboy)? 👀🩷 Does Ariadna have any other suitors besides Kino? 🤭
I love all your OCs, and would love to know more about them! 🩷
Mun Ari: ahhhh thank you so much for your kind words dear!! They are all great questions!! And I do have given them a thought!
Yui's relationship with my girls:
Yui and Ari are good friends. They used to spend more time together, but since Ari moved in with Kino they now only spend time every once in a while and only while in school sadly :(. They keep in good terms and sometimes they write each other letters. As they grow up, Ari and Yui are still friends and their respective clans have a strong alliance thanks to that. They keep in touch and one particular child of Arino sees and adores Yui as an auntie... I won't say who~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yui and Naomi: they have met and mostly spend time together when Ari is present. Ari introduced them, they're 'a friend of a friend' basicallly(? They are also fellow rulers of their clans further in the future. Naomi does find Yui adorable and cute and enjoys spoiling both of them when the three are together ❤️. Naomi is like an older sister! Naomi has a weakness for cute, kind and 'defenseless' girls (plus points if they're shorter than her jijij)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yui and Sabine: yeah... Sabine is a difficult person. Sabine doesn't find her worth of her time, but her father does force her to treat her with respect at least since she's not only the Eve but also the queen of the vampire clan. Let's remember that the Vibora clan only recognizes as leaders of the bat clan the triplets, so in my AU Ayato becomes the ruler and therefore takes Yui as his wife/queen, so the Vibora clan respects and supports her. Sabine isn't that mean towards her, just doesn't find her interesting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yui and Amelie: The wolf clan mostly remains neutral overall the political aspects. Amelie is very shy and soft spoken, so she doesn't interact or socialize actively. Amelie does respect Yui for her being Eve and as a fellow queen. They have had their tea parties both alone and with the rest of the queens, and they share various interests in common. Ari, Amelie, Naomi and Yui have had their own private tea parties or gatherings over the years and Amelie does like both Ari and Yui. Amelie is younger than Naomi, so they doesn't know each other for long compared to Naomi and Sabine for example. However, Ari and Amelie understand each other for being shy and introverts, so they have each other's back. Amelie is pen pals with Yui and they write each other letters once in a while as well and I find that cute! Amelie once took both Yui and Ari on her back as a wolf when they were pregnant when they felt tired 🥹.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Love interests:
As for Sabine: after a lot of thought, I came to realize the most logic thing to happen is for her to have an arranged marriage (of her choosing of course) with a noble Vibora man. Either as a favor for his family supporting her ascending to the throne or merely for political reasons. I did imagine that the man she ends up marring won't be either a super soft-loving husband nor a jerk one, he'll be somewhere in between and overall Sabine will have a nice and decent marriage. His husband won't have the power or influence of Sabine, but will be what Sabine needs and that's all there's to ask for in Sabine's case at least ^^.
Tumblr media
As for Amelie: I'm not very sure ^^'. Depends in which context I might need/want her. In UTDC, she's underage and hasn't had her debut. So, the thought of marriage plus her shy personality makes it for her and her parents to seek her a proper suitor. However! I do plan on her to be able to meet a nice young man who'll love her just as she is. I even thought of ***** from UTDC [spoiler lol] since they'll make a great couple 🥹 or maybe someone I came up with like in Sabine's case, I haven't fully decided yet jijij~. Within the actual timeline... I don't find the idea of shipping her with a diaboy crazy though 👀. If I had to choose a diaboy as you suggested: some good options could be Shu or Azusa though. They are nice enough and good prospects for Amelie~. Shu could be more likely since Amelie’s parents might prefer someone of noble status better for many reasons, but if Amelie were to fall in love with Azusa por example I can see them changing their minds if Amelie were to speak out! I like how these options sound 🙊🙈.
Breaking news: Ari has another suitor!? :0
As a second love interest? If that's what you mean the answer is: In UTDC AU? Yes. In the normal timeline? No.
Let's talk about that second love interest: Isaac. As you may know or remember, was Ari's crush for almost 5 years. They were classmates and got along nicely, but Ari never had the courage to declare her feelings towards him. In the end, she ended up getting hurt by baseless rumors of him starting to date some other girl.
In UTDC AU, as a manhwa inspired fanfic to me... you need a second male lead/love interest, don't you think? LOL. So! I took Isaac once again to be the second ml~. I haven't gotten into that part yet, but I can't wait to develop this messy love square I'm planning for UTDC >:D.
Tumblr media
But otherwise, no: Ari doesn't have any second love interest or suitor in the normal timeline 🙊
Thank you for the ask anon! It was very interesting!
For Amelie! When did you discover that the love of your life enjoyed it when you... 'Took control' ?
Heh thanks for asking this @swtorpadawan! Oh also Amarra wants to have a word with you about asking questions like this 🤭 Amélie seems fine with them though
Tumblr media
Amélie doesn't even try to hide her amusement. In fact, she lets out a cackle and shouts to a rapidly retreating figure behind her.
“Hey! My dear, my love, Lord pillow biter! Don’t run! When in your mind do you think it was that I discovered you were as subby as they come?”
She continues to snicker without any remorse as the mighty and respected Wrath makes a tactical retreat from the room.
“Hm... I mean it was pretty much at the start of things. Lady Wrath back there pretty clearly valued the platonic relationship we had but I couldn’t tell if she had any interest in things turning romantic. So, I asked Vette for some advice as she had been with Amarra the longest and knew her best. Turns out, the Wrath has a bad habit of always putting everything and everyone before her own interests. Not too surprising but it meant she was never going to make the first move.”
Rolling her eyes, she chuckles at her wife’s expense.
“Vette told me to just go for it and see what happens. So, I went for it.”
Her expression turns predatory as she grins wickedly.
“I will always cherish that shocked squeak she made when I just kissed her. She stood there frozen for a full five seconds before the confused sputtering started. It was adorable! The big bad Wrath struck dumb by a little affection!”
She lets out another bark of laughter but there is a hint of sadness behind her eyes.
“She really had no idea how to handle someone being interested in her. For most of her life, people have only ever used her for their own ends. She rarely ever had the chance to act for herself let alone had the desire to. So, after she calmed down a bit, we talked. Turns out she was interested but her experience consisted only of a few visits to imperial pro-dommes for some mental release through pain play. It made her worry that her inexperience with sex would be unappealing or taken advantage of, given her position in the Empire.”
Amélie sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose.
“And she wasn’t wrong about those fears either. Lots of people would love to take advantage of the Wrath and others would lose interest or become annoyed at her inexperience.“
“But by that point, we were close enough that she trusted me. We had fought alongside each other and kept each other alive in combat. She put her life in my hands and I placed mine in hers. So, when I told her that I could lead and would do as much or as little as she wanted, she believed me."
A warm smile spreads across her face as she gently thumbs the polished black band on her ring finger.
"Amarra has grown over time and occasionally takes the lead now but more often than not, I'm still the one that takes charge of things. It's a dynamic we are both comfortable with and we don't see that changing anytime soon."
YES YES THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS ASK...
Well here it is @that-artistic-record
First of all let's talk about the Grandmama,
Abigail Amelie Dimmadome( born Abernathy) is the matriarch of the Dimmadome family. She is the one that brought the ginger genes and the curly hair into this family and is very proud of that. Being much younger than her husband everyone blamed her of being a Gold Digger but she actually loves Doug alot.
She is a good mother and an amazing grandma but sadly can be alot clueless to their behavior.
She is from a rich family too, even thou not as rich as the Dimmadomes.
Her family made their money on jewelry so she is an expert in all of that stuff.
She loves her son alot and tend to defend him even when she shouldn't (she stills blame herself for him being kidnapped) but she would be ready to slap him if she truly see how her son REALLY treated Dev.
She is called Grandma Abby.
Now about my dear girl Laura.
Laura Oliveira Barbosa Dimmadome, is a Brazilian woman that Dale meet when doing some work in Brazil. She was from a family that dealt with cattle and auctions so Doug liked her immediately.
She refused to get rid of her surnames(Oliveira Barbosa) and just added the Dimmadome.
Dale never bothered to learn Portuguese so she uses when he is annoying her(he also forbid Dev to learn Portuguese after one of their fights, She is still teach him anyway and is not like he belived this would stop her).
They are currently near a divorce, and she spends alot of time in Brazil(she brings Dev to spend time with her sometimes) but often goes to stay with her son in Dimmadelphia too
Laura and Dale does love each other but they are terrible showing it. Neither of them WANT a divroce because even thou they suck as being married they are really good at being the petty friends.
She has a curly light brown hair and heterochromia.
Tumblr media
I made a Dimmadome family tree for an au....
Please ask me about my girls Abigail and Laura...please
Dear Lady Amelie
A follow-up to Dear Master Rolan, inspired by @faerunsbest. SFW.
Dear Lady Amelie,
Thank you for your letter. I must admit that my own reading on wild magic is rather limited, something I intend to rectify with your inquiry. On my honor as Master of Ramazith’s Tower, my lady, I will assist you in way I can. No one should suffer as a result of magic one cannot control.
That being said, I can suggest “Wild Magic: An Introduction and Analysis” by Goodwood and Vane. I remember reading it some years ago and possessing a good foundation for wild magic.
If you would be amenable, then I invite you to Ramazith’s Tower at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter further.
Sincerely,
Rolan
Master of Ramazith’s Tower
***
Amelie smiled to herself as she and Rolan entered his study, remembering his first letter to her.
It’s a shame I had to wait several months to accept your invitation. But I’m here now.
“How was your journey, my lady?” Rolan asked, pulling out a chair for her. “I hope it wasn’t too taxing?”
“Amelie, please. I would hope that we are friends of a sort, and being such, you could call me by my name, Rolan.” She wrinkled her nose and grinned. “Unless you wish for me to call you ‘Master Rolan’ or ‘saer’ in kind.” With a nod, she sat in the chair he offered opposite his own looks pretty comfortable chair at his desk.
Something mischievous flashed in his eyes before it disappeared. “If that is your wish, then it is so.” He smiled kindly but he also seems very nervous. Is he…? Could he…? He blinked and then grimaced. “By the gods! Please forgive me, would you like something to drink? Eat? I can have—"
She shook her head. “No thank you. I’m fine.” Amelie hoped her smile would hide her nerves. Just tell him. He would never…not like... “I, erm, I was hoping to continue what I began downstairs, if you don’t mind, of course.”
He held up a hand. “Please, allow me to speak first lest I lose my nerve.”
Is he…?
Clearing his throat rather dramatically and adorably, Rolan rested his chin on his steepled hands. “My la…Amelie, when I received your first letter, I could not have predicted that such a warm friendship would emerge. You are kind, thoughtful, intelligent, charming,” he closed his eyes briefly and took a breath. “And quite possibly the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. Well, most beautiful person, if I’m being honest. I’m…ahem, quite taken…” Rolan snapped his mouth shut and took another breath. Gods, he really is nervous. Poor dear. “I had a nice speech planned, you see. One that I practiced for hours on end. I-I am…that is to say, I am not…it isn’t easy for me to speak on matters of the…” he swallowed, his yellow eyes pleading. “Heart. I am in love with you. Completely. Utterly. I-I know that we haven’t—”
He never finished his sentence.
Because while he was speaking, Amelie stood (nearly tripped over my own bloody feet) and rounded his desk, grabbed his face, and kissed him.
Shut up, Rolan.
Their lips parted, moans escaping as his hands found her soft hips. He broke the kiss first, panting and breathless. “My…my lady…”
Cupping his cheeks, she giggled, delighting in his cute freckles and smile and everything. “I love you too, you wonderful man. Now, shut up and kiss me, Rolan.”
He stood quickly, hands still on her hips, and smirked. “With pleasure, dearest.”
***
When Rolan woke the following morning, he found himself alone. Despite knowing Amelie had a previous engagement and needed to leave early, he still wished her warm body was in bed with him.
“Hmm, what’s this?” he muttered, noticing a note left on the pillow next to him. He smiled fondly as he read its contents.
My darling Rolan,
I’ll be back in the early afternoon. Until then, think of me. I will certainly be thinking of you.
All my love,
Amelie
“Until then, dearest and sweetest lady…” Rolan whispered, placing the note on his bedside table. He rolled onto his back and thought of the previous night’s activities.
At least for a minute.
“ROLAN!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DID IT GO? WHY ISN’T SHE STILL HERE?”
“I TOLD YOU HE SCARED HER AWAY WITH HIS SCOWL!”
“ROLAN, OPEN THE DOOR AND TELL US! WE ARE DYING HERE!”
Releasing a frustrated growl, he strode to the bedroom door. “Bloody children…later. She will return later…HUSH, DAMN YOU! I DO NOT SCOWL!”
Oh love, you do and it’s adorable.
Free Write #1:  Invitation
Tumblr media
Astrid pressed her lips together to keep from chuckling.  And made a mental note to surprise Roderick and Emma with a nice present when they returned from their vacation.  She could not have asked for a better situation to flummox her current guest.
“My lady.”  Helena offered the tea-tray, and Astrid took it with both hands.  Nothing but the best china and leaves for Fourchenault Leveilleur, the Forum’s newest darling.
“My thanks, Helena.”  Astrid paused at the worried expression on her maid’s face.  “What is it?”
“Are you sure it was safe leaving him alone in a room with Kari?”  Helena ventured.  “The little mistress is still so very ornery.”  Now Astrid had to work even harder to not laugh, remembering the wary side-eye the elezen had been giving her granddaughter.  Dear Kari was ever so grumpy when she woke up from a nap, and currently Fourchenault was being treated to the very best suspicious stares that the six-month old could offer.
“If he could win the Forum over with...and this is a personal opinion-unfortunately flawed reasoning for us leaving Eorzea, but cannot handle being in the same room with a very cantankerous infant, then that’s just a personal problem that will bite him in the arse in the long run.”  She said.  “Besides.  I suspect Ameliance is launching her own campaign to get that man used to the idea of children.”
---------
He was beginning to see why Astrid DeGlass was considered dangerous by some of her peers.  It was impossible to know what she was thinking, let alone guess at her next move.  But to have her support meant one possessed an invaluable ally.  And despite his...personal grievances, Roderick DeGlass had made passionate and ironclad arguments for Sharlayan to remain as it was.  It was only logical then, to offer an olive branch.
And so Fourchenault had been invited to the DeGlass manor for tea.  While not as large and as grand as the Leveilleur home, it was elegant.  The hyuran family had made their money in tradecraft, and Astrid’s tastes in fashion and antiques was well-known.  Fourchenault had felt in his element.  When he’d been admitted into the parlor, he’d been prepared and ready...
But he had not been prepared to see Astrid laughing and cooing over a small hyuran baby, especially as he’d seen her brutally and ruthlessly destroy a proposal on the Rostra’s floor the day before.  Nor had he expected the parlor to be overrun with toys and other bright things pleasing and safe for the child.  It brought back memories that were now painful, of playing in his father’s study while Louisoix was deep in research.  Playtime would always end with Forchenault either on his father’s lap or peering over his shoulder at what Louisoix was working on, the older elezen patiently answering all his questions.
And he definitely had not anticipated Astrid asking him ever so sweetly ‘would you kindly just keep an eye on Kari’ while she went to get the tea-things?  It wasn’t that Forchenault didn’t like children.  They were just...very small.  Breakable.  Hard to please.  Unpredictable.  Breakable.  He halfway expected to turn around to find his dear Ameliance laughing at the situation.  But before he could protest, Astrid had hurried away with a ‘thank you!’, and Forchenault found himself all alone.
In the parlor.  With the small baby--holding court on the sofa, nestled inbetween mounds of plush toys--glaring at him.  Forchenault glanced over-yes, Kari had not let up.
“...You are aware that expression is entirely too old for you.”  He said into the silence.  Thaliak, he’d seen that same look on both Astrid and Roderick’s faces, and it was unsettling to see it replicated on an infant that was half a year out of the womb.  In response, Kari wriggled even more into the comfort of her plush throne, narrowing her eyes until they were practically slits.  Forchenault could feel the silent judgement in the air.
“Do you know they’re still talking about you and your mother between the Studium and Noumenon?”  Why he felt the need to fill the silence with conversation, Forchenault did not understand.  Perhaps it was self-preservation.  Or the possibility that his small host could understand his words.  Six moons prior, Emma DeGlass had walked into Noumenon, one week overdue from her labor date, wanting to borrow a book.  She’d gone to the fiction section, selected a novel and started to page through it.  Then she’d dropped the book with a ear-splitting scream, clutching at her belly.  There had been no time to take her to the healing-halls, no time to call for help.  Kari’s birth had been on a floor of Noumenon, her first cries breaking the library’s hallowed silence policy.  Forchenault remembered the page that had hurried into the Forum’s meeting on that day, whispering to Astrid--and watching the older woman bolt from her seat towards the nearest exit.
“You know, it would have been good manners for you to wait until your mother was in the hands of proper medical professionals.  Or perhaps have arrived at your actual due date.  A rapid labor is very dangerous for both mother and child.”  That earned him tiny grumblings.  Before Forchenault gave into the urge to reply, Astrid reappeared with the tea-tray--and a bottle.  Immediately Kari’s attention latched onto her incoming meal, and Forchenault was all too grateful to turn his focus on more grown-up affairs.
Or he tried to.  Because even while gripping a bottle, the baby was still capable of giving him absolutely dirty looks.
Miraculous Paradise - Chapter 1 - Overture
Next
            “It’s almost time,” Emilie cheered.
            Emilie finished the breakfast preparations as her husband, Gabriel, met her in the dining room.
            “Quite a lot of food for just the three of us and Amelie,” Gabriel remarked.
            “Oh! Right! Colt and Felix are coming with her. They’re going to celebrate Adrien’s seventeenth birthday.”
            Gabriel groaned. “Does Colt have to come? Felix is one thing, but Colt?”
            “Hush. I want the family together. After all, we… we don’t-.”
            Emilie trailed off as the words caught in her throat. Her eyes misted at the thought of Adrien not surviving another year.
            Gabriel grabbed Emilie and pulled her into a hug. “It’s ok, you’ll see. He’s ok still. We won’t lose him anytime soon.”
            “What if we do? I can’t bear the thought.”
            “He’s our miracle. I believe he’ll be with us for years to come. You’ll see.”
            Emilie offered a weak smile and hugged Gabriel. “Right. We won’t lose him. He’s our precious little miracle.”
            “And it’s his birthday,” Gabriel reminded.
            “Oh, right! We have to go wake him. Get him ready. Amelie will be here soon.”
            Gabriel nodded. He took Emilie’s hand, and they headed up to Adrien’s room. They crept inside and drew back the curtains to let in the winter’s morning sunlight. He led her over to Adrien’s bedside. She looked at Adrien as pain and fear gripped her heart. Seeing Adrien’s thin, sickly body always stoked the flames of her fear. Her mind raced with the dread of losing Adrien and her heart shattering.
            Gabriel turned to Emilie and squeezed her hand. Emilie gave a weak smile, then took a deep breath and grinned.
            “Happy birthday!” Emilie and Gabriel cheered.
            Adrien cracked his eyes open and gave his parents a weak smile. “Morning, Mom and Dad.”
            “Oh, look at you. My little boy is growing up so fast. Seems only yesterday you were stumbling around and playing with the girls,” Emilie reminisced.
            Adrien chuckled as he attempted to adjust himself. Gabriel moved and helped Adrien sit up.
            “How are you feeling?” Gabriel asked.
            “Alright. Nothing just yet,” Adrien answered.
            “Good. Just relax. You’ll need your energy for the party your mother has planned,” Gabriel teased.
            Emilie snorted and poked Gabriel. “Oh, don’t you put this all on me. I only invited my sister and her family as well as the girls, but you extended it to your friends.
            Adrien’s face lit up. “Uncle Colt and Felix will be coming today?”
            Emilie nodded. “I even convinced Nathalie to come too. She’ll be here after she’s done managing your father’s business for the day.”
            Adrien beamed. “Nathalie? I haven’t seen her in a long time.”
            “You would if your father didn’t keep her so busy,” Emilie teased.
            Gabriel smirked. “Someone needs to keep me in line when you’re not around.”
            “And thank goodness for that too. I don’t know what I’d do without her.”
            Gabriel feigned offense, making Adrien laugh.
            “Now, enough of all that. Are you ready for breakfast, Adrien?” Emilie asked.
            Adrien nodded. Gabriel and Emilie assisted him in getting changed and downstairs to the dining hall. They reached the main foyer when the doors swung open. Amelie strutted in with Colt and Felix behind her.
            “Sister!” Amelie cheered.
            “Darling!” Emilie called back.
            Amelie ran up and embraced Emilie, then looked at Adrien.
            “Look at you. Has it really been seventeen years already?” Amelie asked.
            “I know. He’s growing up so fast, isn’t he?” Emilie added.
            “Can we skip the fawning and get to breakfast?” Colt interrupted.
            Amelie blinked, then smiled. “Colt, honey?”
            “Yes, dear?”
            “Shut the fuck up.”
            Gabriel and Emilie pursed their lips to hide their amusement while Adrien tilted his head in confusion. Felix cracked a smile and snickered. Colt sneered and slapped the back of Felix’s head. Felix snorted and flipped off Colt.
            “Alright now, I think that’s enough of that,” Emilie interjected.
            “Exactly. Can’t you behave for two seconds, Colt?” Amelie pressed.
            “Yes, Father, can’t you?” Felix added.
            “Watch your tone, boy,” Colt jeered at Felix.
            Felix laughed. “Oh, Father, I’m not a boy any longer. Give it a few more years and you’ll be calling me ‘Sir,’ bowing to my every whim.”
            Colt growled and pushed past them, heading towards the dining hall.
            Felix smirked. He turned to Amelie, bowed, and offered an arm. “Shall we, Mom?”
            Amelie took Felix’s arm. “So gentlemanly. At least you picked up traits some traits from me.”
            “Only the best from you, Mom.”
            Amelie giggled and looked back at Emilie, Gabriel, and Adrien. “What are we waiting for? Let’s go!”
~~
            Bridgette walked down the street with her arms full of groceries. She stifled a yawn as she headed back to her apartment. The city buzzed around her as everyone stirred and rushed off to work. The chatter of passing strangers coupled with their dismissive glances her way before they rushed past her. Something that used to annoy her so long ago now she had grown accustomed to.
            Bridgette turned a corner as a man crashed into her. She staggered back, slipped on the ice, and fell. She clutched her groceries, careful not to lose them. She took inventory while the man berated her for not watching where she was going. Those that witnessed the events questioned their lying eyes, but ultimately put the blame at her feet. She ignored them despite the eyes that burned into her back and continued home.
            Bridgette breathed a sigh of relief once she was on the floor of her apartment. She hadn’t run into any other accidents. She lamented on the crowd’s words. Something that didn’t sting like it used to, but still lingered. The doubt that they threw at her, the back and forths between others as they questioned her motives, and it all resulting in them never believing her. She snorted at the constant reminders as an ache formed.
             The ache brought forth a part of Bridgette that resented her situation. It reminded her how she could have had a real life where she could achieve her dreams. Where she could have had a partner, perhaps her own family, and have a normal nine-to-five white collar job. She could prove she wasn’t a stain on the family’s name. Instead, she went the opposite direction in their eyes and doubled down.
            Bridgette shook her head and fumbled her keys. She fought the ache as she unlocked the door and stumbled in. She caught herself as her eyes fell on Marinette. A different ache accompanied with warmth filled her heart seeing Marinette sitting near the door, napping while sitting. The large spectral fox beside her barked and bounced around, waking up Marinette. Marinette’s eyes blinked awake, squinting in the darkness. Marinette’s eyes widened as her face lit up with an enormous grin seeing Bridgette.
            The terrible ache that plagued Bridgette ebbed away. She closed the door and knelt, hugging Marinette. She pressed her forehead against Marinette’s before she moved to turn on the small, dim lights.
            “Sleep well, Mar Mar?” Bridgette asked.
            Marinette nodded.
            “Have any dreams?”
            Marinette pressed her index finger against the side of her mouth. She tilted her head and looked up, then shook her head.
            “A restful sleep, huh? That’s good.”
            Marinette beamed.
            “You hungry, Mar Mar?”
            Marinette nodded.
            Bridgette smiled. She moved to the kitchen, placed down her groceries, and grabbed a menu. The fox helped Marinette stand and guided her to the kitchen. A pang hit Bridgette’s heart seeing Marinette limp along with the exposed scars on Marinette’s legs. A sight she should be used to after all these years, but still got to her. Marinette tugged Bridgette’s sleeve, bringing her back. Bridgette gave a tired smile and handed Marinette the menu. Marinette looked it over while Bridgette put away the groceries. Marinette approached Bridgette while holding up the menu.
            “What’d you decide this morning?”
            Marinette pointed to dumplings, tea, and a chocolate donut.
            Bridgette chuckled. “My, what an appetite this morning. Perfect for a growing girl.”
            Marinette’s eyes sparkled. She nuzzled Bridgette before she headed to the living room with her fox behind her.
            Bridgette waited until she heard the TV turn on then sighed. She grabbed the dumplings she had premade, silently thankful she had the extras. She prepared the meal while her body screamed at her to rest. She pushed through it until she finished putting together their plates. She placed them at the table and called Marinette over.
            Bridgette waited while Marinette joined her with the fox trailing behind. They took their seats and ate. Bridgette stole glances while Marinette fought with the chopsticks. Marinette had managed a few bites before she gave up and used the basic cutlery. She smiled and gently touched Marinette’s arm, getting her attention.
            “You’re getting better, Mar-Mar. Keep at it.”
            Marinette beamed. She reached out and squeezed Bridgette’s hand. Bridgette stifled a wince at her weak grip. The strength Bridgette remembered long gone, but not the comfort. Bridgette returned the gesture before she stood.
            “I’m going to get some sleep. Make sure to wake me when it’s lunchtime.”
            Marinette nodded. The fox popped its head up and barked.
            “And don’t you forget about lessons, Trixx.”
            Trixx barked.
            Bridgette smiled. She patted Trixx and kissed Marinette’s forehead, then retired to her room.
~~
            “It’s almost time! It’s almost time!” Emilie cheered.
            Emilie ran around the house as she finished the preparations for dinner and the party. Adrien watched her scurry around with a slight smile on his face. Felix sat across from him, scrolling on his phone. Felix’s company wasn’t like Emilie or Amelie, but was welcome, even if it was just silence.
            Even through the silence, Adrien raked his brain for a conversation topic. He recalled simple things he had heard his parents use to strike up a conversation, but they were typically mundane things like the weather, life, or business prospects. Would that be sufficient for Felix? Would it get Felix talking or would he just get basic answers? Was there any harm in trying?
            “So, how’ve you been Felix?” Adrien asked.
            “I’ve been as well as I can. Some days get a little crazy when I’m at Colt’s throat and he’s at mine.”
            “What do you mean?”
            “It should be no secret that we don’t exactly see eye-to-eye. We have vastly different ideas for the business and tend to clash. I do believe he hopes that I’ll just bend over backwards and take it like when I was younger. However, that won’t do any good for his successor to be a little bitch.”
            “Successor? You’re going to take over Colt’s company?”
            “Indeed. I’m sure he’s hating it since he’s still in charge and the man has a nasty need to control everything. So, as you can probably imagine, it causes a lot of problems between the two of us.”
            “Do you want to take over his company?”
            Felix paused. He looked up from his phone and stared straight ahead. “A strange question. I’ve always been expected to take over. Want wasn’t a luxury I was allowed. I suppose to a degree, yes, I do, but also, no, I don’t.”
            “What would you do if you didn’t have to take over the company?”
            Felix considered. He opened his mouth, then stopped when the doorbell sounded, and Emilie squealed. She rushed to the parlor. Excitement and hope flared in Adrien as he heard Chloe’s shrill voice. Felix winced at the noise.
            “Great. There goes the relative quiet,” Felix complained.
            “They’re not so bad,” Adrien said.
            “Adrikins!” Chloe yelled.
            Felix rolled his eyes. He put his hands up and left. Chloe bounced over and sat beside Adrien.
            Chloe hugged Adrien. “Happy birthday!”
            “Thanks, Chloe.”
            Zoe, Chloe’s younger half-sister, shuffled into the room and plopped down on an adjacent couch. Kagami walked in after and sat across from Zoe where Felix had a moment ago.
            “Happy birthday, Adrien. How are you feeling?” Kagami asked.
            “I’m doing alright. I’m getting a little tired after the long day, but it’s one day a year, right?” Adrien answered.
            “Are you sure? Perhaps you should rest,” Kagami remarked.
            Adrien put his hands up. “No, no, really, I’m fine.”
            Kagami hummed.
            “Oh, don’t bring down the mood, Kagami. This is a happy day, and we need to celebrate!” Chloe cheered.
            “Can you bring it down a notch, Chloe?” Zoe asked.
            Chloe glared at Zoe. “Hush! No one asked you. Why don’t you go do literally anything else.”
            “Like?” Zoe asked.
            “I don’t know. Just go use your imagination like any other child.”
            Zoe growled. She stood and walked behind Chloe, smacked the back of Chloe’s head, then ran. Chloe stood and screeched.
            “Mommy! Zoe hit me!”
            “Zoe, shut up!” Audrey yelled back.
            “I’m Chloe!”
            “Whatever! Just shut up!”
            Chloe crossed her arms and sat down. She pouted as she looked around when she saw Kagami with a smirk on her face.
            “What’s with that smirk, Tsurugi?” Chloe demanded.
            “Can’t I just smile? I don’t get to very often,” Kagami remarked.
            Chloe snorted and looked away. “Whatever. Anyway, Adrikins, you’re going to love what we got you. We made sure to spare no expense. Just like always.”
            “More solid gold trash?” Kagami asked.
            Chloe gasped. “You take that back right now!”
            “Make me.”
            “Adrikins, make her take it back.”
            “Chloe, I-,” Adrien started.
            Chloe stared up with puppy dog eyes.
            Adrien grimaced and sighed. “Kagami, do you think-?”
            “No.”
            “Sorry, Chloe. But I liked the gifts you’ve gotten me before. Always.”
            Chloe’s anger melted and she smiled. “See? I knew you’d like them.”
            Kagami rolled her eyes and muttered about junk.
            Chloe opened her mouth to speak, but stopped when she heard Emilie’s voice.
            “Alright, girls! Dinner is ready!” Emilie called.
            Chloe grinned while Kagami’s face returned to neutral. They both got up and helped Adrien up. He gave a weak smile as they each took an arm and escorted him. He kept pace until his body felt heavy and he was tripping on his own feet.
            “Adrien? What’s wrong?” Kagami asked.
            Adrien opened his mouth, but no words came out. A soft whine escaped him as his chest hurt. He swayed and fell into Kagami as his head swam. Chloe released him and ran, calling for Emilie. Chloe’s words were lost to him as all he heard as the palpitating of his own heart. Kagami lowered Adrien to the floor. He looked up at Kagami’s worried face as spots formed in his vision.
            Adrien fought to keep consciousness when Emilie came into focus. She screamed his name that fell on his deaf ears. He shuddered as her cool tears dropped onto his burning face. She screamed again as his eyes rolled back and he passed out.
