i don't know your ocs but ! general 4, 8, love 11, and domestic life 6 for the characters you mentioned in the tags? or anybody else if there is anyone else you wanna answer these for
Oh my gosh hi!!!! Thank you for the ask!! I will answer for (some of) the parents because I haven't introduced them yet. I'll answer for Janet and Anthony (Lola and Jack's parents).
General
4. Were they each other's first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?
Janet is a bit older than Anthony so she's had more experience with relationships, but Anthony wasn't totally new to it when they met. They weren't each other's first anything in the typical sense, but they could be considered each other's first 'real' loves. Their past relationships were on a scale from 'okay' to 'not great', whereas now they're on the level of 'fucking love each other so much'.
8. Who takes the lead in social situations? How are they around each other's friends?
Janet definitely does. Anthony can be pretty quiet and a bit shy sometimes, but he still talks to people. He has conversation with friends and stuff but usually lets Janet take the lead when possible with new people. Though, he does work in customer service at what is basically their universe's version of a Radio Shack, so he is used to talking to strangers. He just doesn't exactly prefer it.
Janet is fine with taking the lead and understands he's not always up to it. She actually enjoys being able to lead in a way; it's very easy for her to direct conversation. She's not one to not let others speak, though. She just likes having that bit of control.
They don't meet up with their (few) friends much, but when they do they have a nice time. Again, Janet tends to initiate the conversation and keep it going while Anthony adds things when he wants to. Their friends know and expect this.
Love
11. What kind of nicknames do they call each other?
Boy oh boy do I think about this a lot. I love giving the couples unique nicknames. Janet and Anthony go for the really 'classic' ones. Janet calls him Love and he calls her Darling. Their kids cringe so much when they get all gushy with each other.
Domestic Life
6. Do they have any pets?
No, sadly, they haven't had pets at all. It's a lot of money to take care of a cat or dog. It's even harder when you have your five kids (or, well, teenagers) in the house.
I have ideas, though. ;]

Last night I dreamed that the people from Shoot From the Hip were staying over at my house. I was serving them beer. The tallest one said “Hey, thanks for the drinks. Anything I can do for you?” so I asked them to go to your house. They replied “Sure, what’s his address?” This led us to a minor problem as the only information I have regarding your whereabouts is ‘he does not live on this continent’ so I told them to look for an emu that did not live in Oceania and had a tumblr account. They hopped on a plane to Romania.
Several days later they posted a selfie with you, and you were indeed an emu.
OH MY GOSH AAAAAA THATS SO COOL OHMYGOSHHHHHH :DDDD
(That is actually SO something that the tall one, aka Tom would say I reckon!!)
That’s so sweet of dream-you to say to them to see me awwwww :DDDD
I’m happy stimming so much right now like you dreamed about sfth and meeeee (me being an emu made me laugh so much hahaha :))
this is so funny and so cool thank you so much for sharing!!!!! :DDDD
I love how you were like “hmm idk go track down an emu with a tumblr” and they were like “ah yes- To Romania!!” (I don’t live in Romania lol)

OH did Craig know his granddaughters would become werekrakens too? What is their first transformation like?
Craig didn't know the curse would be passed down to his granddaugthers, no! As for their transformations, their mothers saw the warning signs as they got their kid forms early and were prepared for the shift. Yet, the werekrakens are a bit like wild animals, and even harder to care for when the wild animal in question is a 10 year old.
Callie was fine, mostly skittery, but Marie on the other hand. Lol.
Marie was more aggressive. When Craig caught wind of this, he expectedly felt a lot of guilt. His daugthers asked him if he wanted to tell the Squid Sisters about the curse, and why they're the only ones who are like this, but Cap'n Cuttlefish to present day still hasn't been able to bring himself to tell them, treasuring what he has left of family too much for them to leave him.
#thank you for the ask!!!!! :DDDD#really happy people enjoy my silly au where i get to turn the squid sisters to creatures (~*v*~)#splatoon#splatoon callie#callie cuttlefish#callie splatoon#marie cuttlefish#werekraken au

if you do drawing reqs, can we get mayor in different clothing from different time periods... specifically the victorian era? i'd love to see your interpretation of what he would wear, since i liked the 1950's one a lot!
The funny thing about this question is the fact that the Victorian era is in fact, a long period of time (1820s-1900s). There's a lot of differences in fashion all across the globe during this time period.
But I'm about 82% sure that you must be talking about British Victorian era clothing. And adding into that, middle class fashion. The 'educated' class. The people who owned businesses and factories and the ones who could spend their leisure time doing whatever and wearing whatever. Because that's definitely what the Victorian era fashion was known for. The extravagant upper class clothes. Not the working class, or anything below that.
So, after a little bit of a google inspo search, I think you were expecting something like this:
Mayor in middle class, British, Victorian, masculine fashion. He probably wouldn't be too bold with their outfits in order to fit in. It was quite fun to draw this guy in a top hat and tail coat (even more fun than looking at all of the different types of Victorian neck wear haha). But, honestly, if we are going to be a little bit logical about this, he would not have arrived in England (if he's ever been there at all) all dapper and nice straight away.
In fact, I think it would be more likely that for a while, he would (even if just for a little bit) wear things similar to the working class of Britian. Coal soot and all.
Look at the silly man! Like a newspaper boy. Obviously he will rise up the ranks of the class hierarchy but like, come on, he probably had to shove coal into a train furnace at least a couple ten times. I hope these designs satisfy you, they're not much, but I hope it was what you were thinking of.
I would also like to bring up the fact that, again, there are a lot of different periods of time during the Victorian era! One notably, the American Wild West (1860s-1890s)!!! Hence, I of course have a cowboy Mayor design (rather plain like the others but I haven't put too much thought into it really, maybe I should):
And then there is the fact that before the Victorian era was the age of piracy. While technically for the west that period was decades before Queen Victoria came into power (1650s-1730s), the biggest flat fleet in China (and, I think also the world), was at its most powerful during the 1800s-1810s (literally a mere decade before the Victorian Era began)!!! That decade was under the leadership of Zheng Yi Sao, one of the most successful pirates in history. And of course, I do like to think the Mayor must have encountered her at some point. He might have been intrigued by the powerful woman she was.
So of course. Pirate Mayor:
Out of all time periods I do like to think that Mayor was at his most grumpy at this point (even worse than their Chief era). Life out at sea was not very glamorous. But hey! They're a pirate! That's so cool!
If any of you are still here reading my rambling, I also want to say that this question just reminded me of an old drawing I drew last year. I kind of cringe looking back on it but I'm still just a little happy that I actually drew the thing.
You can probably spot them, but the pirate and cowboy Mayor designs are there (right next to each other too)!!! Along with, some 1900s designs. A doodle I made about the Mayor through the ages :))).
Thanks for sending in the request! It was fun to answer :))).

Once again, you have done a wonderful analysis. I was the person who asked about the status of their relationship in Dreamland and Arcadia. 👏 great work!
I don't know if you have been asked this before, but I am going to ask anyway.
If you were to teach a class on the Xfiles for critical thinking and analysis, how would you want to structure the course? What episodes would be your "go-to" and what aspect of analysis would be your focus? Where would be a good starting point for the uninitiated?
You offer enough evidence that the show can be used for film analysis, writing, critical thinking, argumentation, creative writing, etc., so it is very plausible to use the XFiles as a medium to get students, or just the everyday person, motivated to think in ways that they may not normally practice.
I am inspired by your analysis of the asks that you share with your audience.
I think this my answer is both simple and complex, depending on which angle you want to tackle.
Simply: The X-Files is a masterclass in failure; and I mean that quite neutrally. There were cracks embedded in the foundation since Season 1-- a lack of show bible, a lack of narrative cohesion, a lack of attention to important detail, a lack of conclusive vision despite the aspirational visions-- that deepened with each new mystery box, each new twist, each new "the truth is out there, but it's not the truth we said it was a week ago, this time it's different" bend. Even more simply put, it is a deeply broken, deeply flawed series because its premise-- a shadowy conspiracy that cloaked alien interference and abductions-- was probably never intended to be more than that. But each new idea was more tantalizing than the last; and the more the show explored new territory, the more it sketched out an inescapable map. And soon, there was no new place to run.
Complexly: The X-Files is a masterclass in failure because despite all its faults, its flaws, its frailties, its downright ham-fisted or shocking plot points, the crew's talent was insane.
Not just David and Gillian-- though their chemistry's the stuff of legends-- but Mitch Pileggi, Nic Lea, the returning and supporting actors, the writers, the directors, the costume designers, the behind the scenes people, everyone poured their heart and soul and best into this series (until Season 7, which drained everyone, on and off set, of their investment.) It could, should have been so much worse-- it could have been canceled after its first season, it could have been canceled after the first few episodes, it could have been canceled after the ending in Season 1. Yet, in spite of DD and GA's green acting, and the more fixed direction, and the odd angle or odd script moment or odd lighting choice, there was talent-- sheer undeniable talent-- that was thrown in... maybe not everyday, but most days. And even more complexly, Chris Carter-- for all the faults that can be levied at his later work or behavior towards long-time friend Gillian-- fostered that talent. He was a generous executive producer; and once he formed loyalties, he stuck to them. In all the past interviews I've read, his writers and actors and crew admired his work ethic and trusted his judgment. And, while it wasn't the best judgment to guide the juggernaut of this immense series, he handled immense, buckling pressure so well that, by and large, he passed himself and his writing off as the stuff of legends... until, of course, it inevitably blew apart and plunged downward. But that's a risk he took; and the show did incredibly well while it soared.
Putting the two together: if I were to use this show as a teaching tool, I'd divide it into segments: the MOTW and the mytharc. The MOTW is where the show shines brightest, and what it's most remembered for by the vast majority of its viewers (and the populace.) Here, I could prove what incredible talent and dedication and drive can do: what generosity and fostering of ability, what openness to ideas, what creativity pushed to its max would inspire. How Squeeze-Tooms succeeded but Pusher-Kitsunegari failed; how to handle a skeptic-believer dynamic believably; how one show contained a multitude of tones, and played with them expertly (from drama to horror to sci-fic to comic to romantic to adventure to etc.); how to sensitively (or try to) push forward an idea that needs to be solved, in our world, without choking the audience with moralistic spoon-feeding. How and why (and when) a show can do all these things in one breath and utterly embarrass itself in another (looking at you, Fight Club.) That would then lead me into my second point: what the consequences of that would look like-- scripts written the night before (perhaps even the day of) filming; actors and crew pushed to their exhausted limit; one man creating more and more and more shows-- because he doesn't trust his first one will go on forever-- instead of focusing that incredible drive and effort to cleanly outline his pet project. Lastly, I'd shift into the perfect demonstration of The X-Files's rises and falls: its mytharc How the MOTW idea existed, in its infancy, in the Pilot; that the convoluted, ever-evolving plot didn't take shape and fly until the scope of ideas grew greater and greater; how that spawned an incredible mythos (or the potential of an incredible mythos); and how that mythos, for the most part, carefully danced a line that could have enraged many different factions of society and many different points. An elegant, slimmed conspiracy, at first, that took time to highlight important issues-- government overreach, abuse of power, coercive or vindictive control-- until it devolved into trite statements, repetition instead of invention, without firmer substance. Until the writers didn't have any land left to explore, turned around, and realized they'd flown into a corner. Then they threw a smokescreen-- a new tragedy or drama onscreen-- and hoped the audience would be blinded to the trick, once again. And, ultimately, how that lack of trust in the audience was a greater sin than their ability to finish the show satisfactorily.
If I were to step back, though, I think The X-Files could prove any point you want to prove: the struggle of the artistic vs. the executive, the reality of expectation vs. creative vision, the high of a meeting of minds between an ideas man and his audience, the impropriety of expecting fan loyalty yet shoveling them slop, the deevolution of a beloved franchise through disengaged interest and floundering quality, the importance (the sheer, indisputable importance) of writing well if nothing else, etc. etc. etc. I don't think I'd get into the Chris Carter issue, though. That area of drama is locked away from all but the most interested (in my case, over-invested); and it wouldn't be productive to bring into a classroom, seminar, or what have you. Unless, of course, I were teaching psychology. ;))))
Personally, I would divide the show into its sequential leaps forward: the time Chris Carter insisted on casting David and Gillian for their chemistry; the time Morgan and Wong pitched the show's first creature episode; the time Rob Bowman insisted on trying something different while directing; the time DD started writing, then directing, under the show's tutelage; the time GA wrote out her own script and directed it; the time Kim Manners or Rob Bowman or Vince Gilligan (or Spotnitz) pushed for overtly romantic moments between Mulder and Scully; the time 1013 and the show's theme and the UFO poster and the smoking man became international iconography, etc. All of these elements echo back to Chris Carter as a competent helmsman, and showcase him (and the show) at his best. Then, I'd pivot to the creative toll: the time crunch, the stress, the media speculation, the lack of privacy or a life, the ever divided attention-- that the most glamorized years of the show were also the most brutalizing (FTF and Season 5 filmed consecutively; and back to back with Season 4.) Finally, I'd focus on the sudden tone shift, pivot, and recovery of Season 6, 7, 8, and some parts of 9; and how each of the last three seasons suffered from the same fate: fresh new mysteries, failed follow-through, and catastrophic fatalities until the writers hit the emergency "Reset" button again. And that that pattern continued, irrevocably, for a movie and another two years.
But most importantly: I'd use any scene, any episode, any season to prove that all this profound effort-- time, blood, sweat, and tears-- can create giants... and can tear them back down when the foundations crack and give way. Until, in short, the writing, the one aspect holding everything together, falls apart. And without the writing, there is no final act, there is no happy landing-- there is only a man caught in the act, reprimanding you for looking behind the curtain.
Hope this helps! :DDDDD
#asks#anon#took me a bit!#this is a little all over the place#but I wanted to be as broadly thorough as possible#xf meta#mine#thoughts#this was such an intriguing question-- thank you! :DDDD#couldn't think of specific examples... probably because the show itself is so segmented#I could teach different courses on it forever and ever#or at least a very long time ;))))

hey idk how well-verses u are on isat lore but i am exceedingly curious about 2 things so id you have answers id love to hear them
1- was everything always black and white ? is there a way to add or remove color ? and if so is that important at all to the plot ?
2- how did siffrin lose their eye (unless they were just born like that which is cool too)
flapping my hands i am indeed Well Versed in the isat lore!! under the cut bc i dont want to spoil a mutual who hasnt seen some of this
so for the first question, canonically colors used to exist in the isat universe. there's a lot of theories about how this happened, like a war or a craft experiment gone terribly wrong named canonically, but no one knows for sure. in the secret library that you have to access to find a spell there's a book on color theory, and while characters are generally aware of the idea that colors existed at one point they are not particularly interested in this. it's kind of like the current idea that the world used to look entirely different i guess. generally understood as a concept, some people study it, but the average person has too many other things to think about to care or acknowledge this much at all beyond it being a vague idea.
HOWEVER!! colors are seen at two (2) points in the game. one at a moment where siffrin is trying to remember something that can't be remembered and another at the end of the game when the world is breaking. the only other book on color theory in the game is in the observatory, a room where you get some of siffrin's lore. in this book it's discussed that very rarely, people are known to see a weird shade in times of immense trouble, or when something breaks. so colors do still kind of exist? there's red at two points in the game, when siffrin's mind is breaking and when the world is ending.
second question!! this one's less fun and kind of just makes me sad. siffrin lost his eye shortly after he met bonnie. there was a sadness (monster) coming after bonnie and they were the only one fast enough to get there on time. the sadness took out his eye instead of killing bonnie. there's more to it than that and the game goes into detail about how this affected bonnie and siffrin and bonnie's relationship in a way i think is really neat but that's the gist of it
#thank you so much for this ask it made me go !!!! :DDDD#if anyone has isat questions please send them to me i love rambling about this game sm#ask#mutual asks#thank you sm i love rambling#isat spoilers

anon is right, more hunter lore.
he's very fun. love your ideas.
Do you mind if I ask what goes on regarding all the magic stuff? Is he Aideen-adjacent or just kind of vibing? Somewhere in-between? I know there's some drama going on with Sabine 🤔
I wasn't expecting my guy to get this much attention, thank you guys!
Going to be completely honest here: I'm a very new player who only really started playing SSO in January of this year, and took about a month's break from the main quests in March. As a result, I've almost definitely forgotten a lot of important lore surrounding Aideen/soul rider magic, and don't have many of the magical shenanigans in Hunter's story fully thought out :'))
But! It has definitely been on my mind. Hunter's specific role among the soul riders + his relationship with the different circles of magic are works in progress so here's what I've been working with so far!
(Content warning for some (pink) blood in image!)
Lately, I've been messing with the idea (just for fun) that Hunter's a conduit for Aideen, rather than a descendant or reincarnation. He has almost no magical power of his own, and relies pretty much entirely on the whims of an incorporeal, deity-like being to perform any kind of soul rider magic. Essentially, he gets partially possessed every now and again when what remains of Aideen's soul decides that it would be beneficial to the fate of Jorvik and/or its inhabitants. During this "possession", Hunter functions as a point at which her soul (which I think was supposed to be scattered among the horses, people, and nature of Jorvik? correct me if I'm wrong. Hunter's lore google doc is in dire need of revision and organization anyways) can condense enough to produce magic from any of the four circles, and create the illusion that he's the mystical fifth soul rider.
Other bits of this idea from the google doc:
The four runestones in Valedale respond to a concentrated "presence" of Aideen, rather than to Hunter himself.
He's aware of this. Aideen's not of this world in cannon (emerged from a falling star), and practically dissolved into the entire island of Jorvik. Containing even a fraction of her soul in a human body is a jarring experience that can cause a lot of issues for the "host" ranging from minor side effects (cold sweating, shortness of breath, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, mild nausea, etc.) to more severe (short memory gaps, nosebleeds, migraines, loss of consciousness, insomnia, severe nausea, visual disturbances and/or hallucinations, auditory disturbances and/or hallucinations, etc.).
Maybe losing so much of his memory and original personality in the process of getting to Jorvik counts as losing part of a soul? So it creates a kind of "empty space" that Aideen's own soul is able to fill whenever she so chooses, and that's why Hunter works as a conduit/vessel, rather than a reincarnation. Idk. May have to workshop this.
The soul riders, valiant reincarnations of previous soul riders. +This one guy who has a weird thing with the local deity
Hunter and Aideen have a similar relationship to roommates who butt heads frequently but have no intention of leaving to seek a better roommate. but in Hunter's brain/soul/body. Bodymates. Soulmates (derogatory) (not romantic) (not platonic either). Symbiotic relationship. Both parties benefit and Hunter recognizes the necessity of it for saving Jorvik but he's still having a very bad no good time with the side effects, and he's still mad at her for letting him die.
This is the idea that I like working with the most so far, but I'll update y'all if there's something better in the works! :^D
As for Sabine: I was in a weird headspace while making that little comic of Hunter and Sabine up in Dinosaur Valley. At the time, it was just intended to be the end of Hunter's story. He'd be a spooky character who haunts the forest up in the valley as a ghost and that's that. Maybe the world's doomed by Garnok now, maybe the keepers find someone to replace him. Hunter doesn't know, he's dead on a mountainside and doomed to spend eternity wandering in search of an escape from Sabine.
A couple weeks after making that scene, I decided I didn't want that to be the end of his story. Just because it's kind of sad :( As much as I delight in making Hunter's wildly out of place string of crimes for a backstory, and making him experience endless horrors, Star Stable's very much a happy game for me. It's something I couldn't afford as a 10 year old but desperately wanted, and bought for myself with adult money a decade later to live out some old horseboy dream with beloved pixel horsies. :) To end my first (and so far only) player character's story there feels like a disservice, so I've got that scenario tucked away as a sort of AU/alternate timeline thing. It's still very fun to draw and think about because I love giving characters horrors to experience, but I want him to keep going on horse adventures in Jorvik :D
I decided that he does in fact die there in the Hidden Valley though. Not many people can survive that kind of thing after all. Aideen, however, decides she doesn't want to lose her vessel just yet, and Hunter's resurrected through a combination of the power of horsies and friendship Aideen's connection to the star circle and WizardEgg's (Starter horse) Starbreed magics. Magical resurrection results in the ability to channel more of Aideen's magic, but also the worsening of side effects, and a glowing star-shaped scar on his forehead that appears when using said magic.
^Old doodle from when I was playing around with negative side effects of magic :)
The whole scene creates a point of tension between he and Aideen. Hunter thinks Aideen could have done more to prevent it, and isn't particularly fond of the new, worsened magical side effects. Aideen isn't mortal and so doesn't think the way mortals do. She sees her vessel as having gained more power, and knows he'll come to understand the value of that power in the future. She's right, but he's still going to be mad about it.
As for Sabine? Hunter's still scared of her! Her and all the dark riders! They're spooky 👻 and he's a bit of a coward! Hunter lost a lot of his nerve/confidence with his memories during the boating incident, along with coordination and a couple other odds and ends.
#Thank you for the ask and sorry for delay!!! I've been working on a big thing for the Jorvik Pride event! This was fun :DDDD#SSO's magic lore is super cool but I sadly don't remember a ton of cannon info :((#sso oc#my art#cw blood#oc asks#Hope this answer's alright :') partway through it feels like I got lost in the sauce

You know I have to ask about Imperial Echo
HI ur so right u absolutely do <3333
OK SO, imperial echo is just about the most self explanatory of my wips for uh… obvious reasons lol. but!! i haven’t seen it done that often and there’s SO MUCH POTENTIAL i just had to figure something out :D
It starts out mostly as a swap of Echo and Crosshair except, due to Techno Union fuckery, Echo’s chip is just malfunctioning. This causes him to act more or less like himself but with the vaguest sense that they need to capture the jedi. (Not KILL him; he’s sure the empire wouldn’t want them to kill a kid.) This causes minor conflict and during the prison scene, Tarkin takes Echo away instead and convinces Echo to try and sway the Batch to join the Empire.
He corners them in the hangar, having been able to remotely shut down the Marauder and keep them there, and tries to talk to them. But they disagree. And, not willing to hurt his brothers, he lets them go.
From here, the whole fic has pretty much two stages, the first part being Echo doing things for the empire while he tries to fight against his malfunctioning chip. He may or may not be teamed up with Cody at this point, avoiding the worst of the empires problems. On rare occasions, he runs into the batch (they’re a bit lost trying to find work), but he stays out of their way.
The SECOND part, however….. Let’s just say a former ARC with cybernetic enhancements could be VERY useful to the Empire. And there’s a good chance a certain scientist knows just how to make that happen. :)
AKA the whole fic is an excuse to show off firstly Echo’s strong morals and loyalty to his brothers (cause of course i have to) and secondly how absolutely terrifying an ARC trooper can be.
There’s a bunch of other stuff with the Batch’s internal conflict about leaving him behind, Rex’s very sudden EXTERNAL conflict when he realizes they left him behind (lol), and about as many Winter Soldier references as I can cram into one fic. Cause ofc :D
#essentially i looked at my sweet boy#filled to the brim with trauma#ever the mom friend#(always the background character lol)#and said#aren’t you tired? don’t u just wanna go apeshit??#and i decided yes he definitely wants to :D#although he is evil during it but still it’s a growth exercise he’s fine :DDDD#thanks for the ask friend!!#ask game#saturn sends thoughts#im sorry this was very rambly lol i have SO many ideas#tbb echo

Hi!! I've been re-reading all of the stuff you have so far for your Herculean Cerulean au and am curious about a few things.
How did you come up with everyone's names?
How did Leoclese learn to make portals via lightning?
Similarly, how did Donotos learn he could fly? (I have this funny image of him just falling off a ledge or something by accident and he just kinda... floats there 😂 that's probably not what you have planned, but that's what popped up in my head)
I know answering these are probably going to require spoilers, so you don't have to answer them, there's absolutely no pressure :] I'm just excited and curious! (Also, I found the part where it mentions Donnie's older brother figure and I'm SO ready to meet this guy)
Anywizzle, I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day/night! 😁
EEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHE THANK YOU FOR ASKING :)))))
It was pretty random. For Leocles, I literally just changed his name to Hercules but with a Leo, since that's who he's sort of going to be modeled after. For Raphodius, Michelantius, and Donotos, I literally just searched up Greek names, noting the endings and just their... Vibe? Idk, but anyway, I tried looking up different meanings too but don't remember what they were of the original names, then once I found a greek name I liked I changed the turtle's names based on them, just to make it different from the original show, and make them sound more ancient greek. For yuichio, I did the same, and realized it didn't sound greek, and instead sounds more italian, so he might be from another place or something. I was considering Rome because italy, but decided I didn't want to have greece and Rome existing at the same time. Then, he's going to follow meg (megara)'s storyline (kind of), hence Mesagi. He's going to be nicknamed Yui (by Leo heheh. I have plans for short. Splintoctetes, changed to sound like philoctetes. Maegasus, a combination of mayhem and pegasus. Baron Hades speaks for itself.
2. I have. NO IDEA :D. I haven't thought that far ahead, but he is the son of the lightning god. I was mostly trying to figure out how to incorporate his ninpo. It'll probably appear in either the first or final fight (heheh the climax is going to be fun) and, won't be like. Summoning lightning, it'll probably just be like canon's portals, but more electric looking.
3. I don't know either. I just wanted to give him ninpo, but didn't want to stick to canon (as you can see I dont want it to be too much like the show). He's the son of Athena, who's sacred animal is the owl, which is a bird, and birds can fly, soooooo... Yeah that was basically my thought process. It will only show up in the climax most likely. (that'd be hilarious can I please use that?)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE QUESTIONS AND ASK!!!! I had a lot of fun answering these, even if I can't give very clear answers. Never be shy to ask about my au I swear I will love any questions. :]]]] (HEHEHEHEHDHSHEHHEHEHHHDBSDHCBJWDHBCJHB I'M SO EXCITED TO BRING HIM IN YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I HAVE SO MANY PLANS FOR HIM. HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEE IT'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN. FOR ME. Also, little spoiler; he's going to be a bird yokai :> I like birbs :>)
Have a marvelous day/night that's just as amazing as you are!! :))

Headcanon prompt: Izuku accidently called All Might 'Dad'. How did this happen? What is the fallout?
I eagerly await your thoughts. 😀
NSJCNSIDNAIFNW YESSSSSSSS I LIVE FOR SLIP UPS OF THE STUDENTS CALLING MIC/ALL MIGHT/AIZAWA/MIDNIGHT MOM/DAD
Izuku hadn’t slept in days. A side effect after the war/nightmares/insomnia/etc. and everyone can kind of see that he’s loosing it
Momo gives him some sleepy time tea, Tokoyami and izuku stay up and keep each other company sometimes, kaminari offers to knock him out, Uraraka asks if they should get midnight to use her quirk on him (I don’t claim to acknowledge what happened to her in canon, I know this to be true)
Nothing though.
It happens after training one day
All might asks to meet with him some time that week after classes, so they’re setting up a time and izuku says, “see you then, dad!”
And walks away
What a mad banquet of darkness
He does not realize the class staring wide eyes at what just happened
He does not realize all might’s shocked and blushing face
He does not realize Shouto having a heart attack because, holy shit, I told you guys-
He does not realize what he said until walking down the halls with a near comatose Kirishima and Tokoyami
He stops walking
He goes red in the face
He stops breathing
Now, Kirishima and Tokoyami realize that he must not have exactly been “all there” for the previous conversation with all might, and is now just registering what he’s said
“Mido-bro, you okay?” 😬(<- kiri trying to smile, but being absolutely terrified of izuku running off and starting a new vigilante arc because he just referred to his mentor as, “dad”)
Tokoyami watches in mild horror as izuku dissolves into a muttering storm
Kiri, Tokoyami, and dark shadow pick up a few words here and there, “dad,” “villain origin story,” “goodbye,” “disowned,” “hates me,” “deku,” “this is it,” etc.
Dark shadow, bless their heart, is trying to calm izuku down too but honestly, izuku is a little too far gone at the moment
Kirishima and Tokoyami really don’t know what to do, but they eventually get now in shock izuku back to the dorms, where he promptly sits as still as anyone has ever seen him for several hours
Everyone is concerned
Meanwhile, all might is happier than he has been in a long while. His son protege called him dad? Holy shit.
Aizawa and mic will not admit that they wanted to be called dad before all might, but it’s true
Midnight is having the time of her life here after she heard what happened. She starts referring to all might as a dilf, and the man resembles a tomato again
Shouto 10000% walks up to all might after it happened and asked him why izuku felt the need to lie when he asked if he was all might’s secret love child during the sports festival
All might is shook
Everyone is in a state
The only ones who knew that this was inevitable were Shouto (obviously), Uraraka, Kaminari (who usually buys into Shouto’s conspiracy theories), shoji, toru, and Jirou
The next few days consist of all might trying to catch izuku’s attention and izuku promptly avoiding him
He’s gotten even less sleep than before, and his work is starting to show that
Eventually, it is time for his meeting with all might and for the first time, izuku is NOT looking forward to it
He’s still not used to people, let alone adults (save for mama Inko), caring about him, and he had a huge slip up with the man he’s idolized since he was practically born
All might has also been stressed this whole time because his son/protege has been avoiding him!!!! Did he do something wrong? Is he embarrassed? Does he not actually think of him as a parental figure?
When izuku gets to his office, they sit there silently sipping tea for a few moments
There totally aren’t a dozen students/faculty listening in on them
Not at all
They would never
Eventually, izuku breaks the silence with a slew of apologies and how it’s okay if all might hates him now or doesn’t want to be his mentor
All might is confused, sad, and mildly horrified
The prince of nonsense has made a come back
How could izuku think that he doesn’t want to help him anymore? All might is more than happy to play the mentor roll and even happier to play the parental roll for this absolute dork
He stops izuku’s onslaught of apologies, and second guessing, and hurt, and tells him point blank that izuku’s name in his phone is literally, “son :)”
Izuku cries
All might cries
The people eavesdropping in the vents and outside the door cry
Nezu smiles
Shouto is insufferable about it
An absolute menace
Izuku tells him that, no, all might is not his biological father, he just has come to be a parental figure for izuku and that they love each other like father and son
Shouto is not buying it.
Neither is Kaminari
Monomais also insufferable about it, but for a different reason. He just likes to tease izuku about it (does offer to fight his birth father though)
Eventually, it comes out that izuku’s birth father left after izuku was diagnosed quirkless (personal headcanon. Daddy issues. Huzzah.) and then everyone is out for blood
Now, one time, Midoriya hisashi comes back and tries to be all parental after his son saved the world, because would it really be one of my headcanons without hurt/comfort/drama/etc? No, I’m a sad motherfucker
So, imma say that he comes to UA and tries to pick izuku up from school early
Hah. Hahahahahha
No.
All might asks who he is, and he says that he’s izuku’s father
Izuku is uncomfortable and confused and ajifnajfjsjfjejbd
Totally does not expect all might to go, “oh, sorry, you must be confused! See, I am Izuku’s father”
Class a is in shambles
They’re all 1000% there for izuku and glaring daggers at Midoriya hisashi, but the dadmight fan club is beside itself
Hisashi is #confused tm
Did Inko re-marry???
No. Izuku just adopted the #1 hero (fuck endeavor) as a father :)
He does make a scene though :/ the motherfucker
Belittling izuku, berating him, etc.
Iida’s thinking about his stain arc again. Maybe premeditated murder really isn’t that bad?
Shouto is also thinking about iida’s stain arc and wondering if he can join?👀
The entire class is just wondering how the fuck someone as kind, and heroic, and smart, and caring as izuku could be related to. That.
They’re all training to be heroes, and this man is hurting someone. That means he’s a villain, right? I mean, present mic was 1000% ready to fight reporters who were trespassing and harassing students, this man is doing just that, so. Villain.
Izuku starts dissociating though, because really, his sleep deprived brain does not want to be dealing with this right now, which is completely understandable
His class and Real Father have his back!
Eventually, hisashi leaves and Nezu puts him on a no entry list
After class, all might brings izuku into his office for tea, and helps ground his son
*Dadmight mode activated*
It’s never really deactivated, but it’s going into overdrive
After izuku is grounded, they go out for ice cream. Because izuku deserves ice cream and affection goddammit
Izuku’s contact name for all might is also 10000% dadmight
Shouto saw before this whole thing happened and put it in his PowerPoint of proof for the secret love child theory
Thank you for this prompt!!!!!! Found family is by far the best trope😭 I hope you enjoyed though!!!!!💙💙

Hello! I’ve been thinking about your stories lately, and got my mind wondering about how you come up with your ideas. What inspired you to make Felix and the Dauntless story? It looks amazing and I can’t wait to see more of it!
Sorry it took so long to respond! I kept coming back to reread this ask I'm just,,, so happy to hear you're interested/excited about Dauntless!!!!! :DDDD
For most of my/our stories (most of the wips are collabs with my sister lol) it usually starts as drawing inspiration from Other stories. We'll watch/read them and go "that was really good, I can see why they made the choices they did narratively, but wouldn't it be fun/cooler if..." then we kinda end up building an entirely new story around that concept. Sometimes they're completely unhinged from the canon cause we love making aus xD
Dauntless is weird in that sense, as it doesn't actually have any origin concept. We wanted each of the main characters in the Keepers saga to come from different backgrounds, and we thought having a cyberpunk ex-spy would be cool. 😂
Thematically it draws a lot from my personal life experience just... dramatized and exported onto a young man living in a futuristic dystopia lol From there the plot kinda ended up being a hodgepodge of all my favorite tropes respun into the sci-fi setting, as this is the first story I've worked on that's not been a fantasy!
The way I make up stories is very character driven, the plot forms as I think about the characters- who they are, who they need to become, and what fears/misconceptions/circumstances they need to overcome to get there. Building a plot always feels like a logic puzzle to me of juggling each member of the cast's arcs and story beats 😂 So most of the plot started from looking at the kind of character I wanted Felix to be at the end of his arc and going "okay what kind of backstory would produce a guy like that?" Then throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what stuck. (This bad boy has gone through so many revisions lol)
I've finally got it worked down to the point where I'm outlining episode/season structure and BOY have I got to tell you that feels good 😭 I am SO excited to share Felix and his pals with the world and it literally means so much to me they've already got a collection of people waiting to watch the show 😭😭
Thank you so so much for your support!!!
#one of my favorite hobbies is watching some piece of 'bad' (poorly done) media and then picking it apart afterwards#what was good about it but just executed poorly? WHY was it bad? how could they have tweaked things to make it hit right?#then I end up with all these ideas I've gotta put somewhere#also I'm just still reeling you think about our stories!?!? :DDDD#I'm so thrilled y'all have been SO encouraging 😭🥺#thank you for the ask!#dauntless wip#text

Hi Desceros!
I had a question about your dredge Au (not sure if this question was asked or not but i just wanted to know)
So was the rest of the boys going to show up at all or splinter in some way, shape, or form lol bc he's a rat and he wouldn’t live in the water or maybe he's something else in this AU. If they are I assumed they already met lavi since she went with Donnie to the deep. Do they know that Donnies lover is a human? Do they ever go to meet her with Donnie?
AHHH!! just so many questions lol, I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the dredge AU and Symphony like omg I can't get enough of it every time you update. I literally fangirl. Anyways I hope you have a great day/ night and I hope your wrist feels better soon!!💕💕💕
hi hi hiiiii!! i've gotten a few questions about the boys, but not splinter yet!!
so leo has gotten a good bit of development with gb and me, to the point where there's actually a second insert-chan in universe who will be hooking up with him. tents hands. he's getting the day job treatment bc gb kept throwing all these amazing ideas at me and finally i snapped and i was like I CAN'T STAND IT. I HAVE TO WRITE SOMETHING FOR HIM LDSAFJSALKFJ but the other two are definitely in-universe as well! i know mikey has a delicious design that will be fun when gb gets ready to put it out hhhh
as for splinter, we were talking last night about it and we started poking him around with a stick a bit. so he's here, just... maybe perhaps a bit different than you'd expect, heehee. there's a fic i have coming up from donnie's pov, and i may have a place to slide in some of that lore into it! same with lavi's c:
don't feel bad about asking questions! it's one of my favorite parts about being in fandom! :D
#ahhh thank you so much for your well wishes too c: i'm so happy you enjoy my writing!!! :DDDD#ask tag#dredge au
