Well i think that way too skinny tim is part of the problems with the babyfication/infantilization of tim.

Tim is very efficient and would take care of himself almost strictly. It all started with taking the role of one of bruce's caretakers. He couldnt let himself have a sick day when Bruce could be having yet another breakdown. Also realistically with his duty as vigilante he wouldn't let himself go thin.

But in the tall tim drake au. While still going through the growth spurts he would totally go even leaner. As he is not used to eat as much as food, i think in those months Tim would do the cryptid thing just to scare the bats. After he finally stops growing he would bulk up. (Def nothing like Bruce or Jason) more like Dick's type of physique. (Smth like jacob elordi / jack champion irl).

His team would help him with the amount of food he should get. And Tim would grt tired of being treated like a little child who cant go to play if he doesnt finnish his meal.

Anyways how do you think his family would react at Tim going tall as a tower? Especially Jason & Bruce reactions.

Hi again!!! I think Tim being way too skinny and not taking care of himself can play into the infantalization. However, I also hc Tim to be the type of person that really struggles to put on weight or muscle mass. I've had some friends/loved ones who ate a fuck ton and still remained bean poles. That's kind of where I'm basing it at.

Tim struggling to put on muscle mass could also play into him not being a natural at Robin's physical skills/needs. Basically, him working really fucking hard to meet the same physical goals as Jason and/or Dick.

For the tall Tim Drake AU, I imagine he wouldn't bulk up quite as much as Dick. At the very least, he'd struggle to obtain as much muscle mass as Dick and maintain it. Jacob Elordi does seem like a good fit for Tim, though. A more lean muscular type but still muscles (Dick's got some huge fucking shoulders. Ripped as hell back).

I'm also down for his muscle mass needing to catch up with his growth spurt. Maybe it takes up to a year for his physique to fully settle after he stops growing taller?

He would be hungry *constantly* though. Poor Tim :'( He'd probably come up with some nutrition plan based on his blood sugar and shit to adequately fulfill his needs. He'll be hella annoyed, though, at all the changes and increased need for nutrients. YJ would definitely be roped into it too.

EDIT: I did not clarify enough on when specifically Tim's struggles with eating may transfer into infantalization territory.

One, nothing wrong with needing support and help with maintaining adequate self-care. I personally struggle with eating and greatly benefit from someone helping me with this.

Two, I bet all of the Bats, at some point, have needed extra support in self-care matters. Particularly, Dick, Bruce, Babs, and Jason, but I imagine the others have had their times as well.

The issues stem from either a narrative of Tim being "incapable" of caring for himself or a restriction in his autonomy. While Tim may benefit from someone reminding him to eat, preparing meals, leaving him snacks, etc., this doesn't mean his own desires should be ignored. If he doesn't want someone butting into his life to help him with that, then so be it. He's capable of making decisions for himself even if others would disagree with his decisions "for his own good."

Sorry it’s taken so long to respond🫶🫶 but I wanted to draw some new art for this ask💓

We have: Sebastian and Eloise trying out their new fancy camera with a selfie, pictures of them with their daughter, and finally…idk I just always felt like this drawing is when they’re a bit older💓

I want to take this ask as an opportunity as well to talk a little about how I imagine their future (I have no chill & you can ignore this and just enjoy the art if you want😇).

I am a COMPLETE pantser - I never know how a chapter’s going to end when I start writing it (I always just have a few scenes I know I need to include to keep the plot moving forward). Although I have different *big* scenes I’m always writing towards, and themes/plot elements I’m always foreshadowing (shout out to @elliecutte for catching *almost* all of my hints and appreciating my general no chill😆), IM STILL NOT 100% SURE HOW I WILL END THINGS !!! 😳 I have a lot of endings I see as possible, and I think soon it will become more clear to me what will work the best💓

HAPPY ENDING:

Eloise and Sebastian become Unspeakables. I have a LOT of thoughts on this profession that could be its OWN post, and I feel like Unspeakables are generally specialized in one or two departments, but as their interests/research change they also change.

Eloise becomes an Unspeakable in the Mind and Death departments, with the occasional foray into Time. Her ancient magic is connected with all of these things (my version of AM is NOT like the game) & the Department of Mysteries is one of the only places that gives her any useful information about these things. Plus she thinks too much (it IS her hobby after all😆💓) and is very introverted so a hermit job like this is a perfect fit.

Sebastian becomes an Unspeakable as well, but I feel like it takes him a long time to specialize in anything, if he ever does. I just feel like becoming an Unspeakable is the adult equivalent of sneaking into the Restricted Section🥹🫶

They grow old together (I won’t explain TOO much) & have a lovely little family🥹 at least one daughter that they both dote on. Sebastian had an amazing childhood (idyllic until it wasn’t), and wants to give his daughter the same, and Eloise works hard to make sure their daughter feels the love that she never had growing up🥺

When Sirius is burned off the family tree, Eloise and Sebastian take him in🥹🫶 (they’re like 100 years old but WIZARDS LIVE LONGER…) The same happened to her all those years ago, and she wants him to know that his whole family hasn’t abandoned him.

Eloise LOVED her nieces - Bellatrix, Andromeda, and Narcissa - when they were younger, but as Voldemort becomes more powerful & people realize WHAT he’s doing, she has to separate herself from them. Her heart breaks seeing Bellatrix go mad, and seeing Narcissa engaged to a Malfoy out of obligation😔 (iykyk)

I haven’t thought any more about happy ending but I think it’s fun to think about how their future story might weave in with the actual canon events, ESPECIALLY since Eloise is a Black🥹💓

SAD ENDING:

After Sebastian gets his hands on Slytherin’s relic, it really starts to consume him and makes him even MORE obsessive than his natural tendencies - I imagine it similarly “talking” to him like Slytherin’s locket/horcrux did in Deathly Hallows (😳)

Eloise is deathly afraid of the changes she’s seeing in Sebastian and steals it from him (he would never willingly give it to her ESPECIALLY if it starts to feel like a precious item to him)

BUT the relic triggers the latent Black Family Madness in her - the madness that afflicts almost every woman in her family since…🤭 - and she herself starts to lose touch with reality. Her body and soul are already destroying themselves between the curse and the ancient magic inside of her, and the relic is what triggers it in her.

Sebastian becomes an Unspeakable, focusing on the Mind, in a desperate attempt to find a cure for his Eloise🥺

He never gives up his research, and sometimes when he comes home she is lucid and they talk about his research - otherwise, he just loves and takes care of her.

(He’s never successful in finding a way to reverse what he feels he caused in the first place - his ambition and single-mindedness is, to him, the reason why all of this happened)

Honestly who knows if I end their story either of these ways😌 I just love thinking of AUs and different endings and I have a few others I’ve considered as well!!! And whatever endings I don’t write will be immortalized on this blog and in my art as well🙏

BTW have you read Hit list by zestycrouton? It's high-school au and pretty old fic from ff.net. One of the best fics, all characters so well developed, it felt like you're watching a movie before your eyes. Yeah, I highly recommend.

Speaking of Pirates, my friend @mistresslrigtar also has one. She also has an ongoing rock star AU that I also recommend!

If you're looking for something short, you should check out @ladyhoneydee 's work. She writes a lot of modern AU and everything comes with a manageable word count! This is a sweet coffee shop AU, but she has tons of others, too.

If you're more looking for stories that have that 'game feel' but are based on own ideas, I'll direct you to @nocturnalfandomartist's blog(s). She has several AUs going on, with concept art and all!

I've only started to explore @abbyz-elda 's work but what I read so far I enjoyed greatly. Currently listening to this one with my screen reader when I'm out running, but I recommend the Sci Fi AU 'A Link to the Stars', too.

Next on my read list is @flutefemme's TP 1920th AU. I read enough of Flute's fics and snippets from this one that I'm confident to recommend before reading.

I skipped Hit List as one of the few fics when I went through all the zelink fics on ff.net and Ao3. I heard that the characterizations etc are really good, but since it's about a school shooting, I didn't want to read it. I'm not doing well with violence in general, and a story that deals with any aspects of a school shooting is not what I want to read for fun. That being said, that obviously doesn't say anything about the quality of the fic and isn't supposed to discredit the story in any kind. I heard others enjoy it greatly. It's just not for me. 😊

So in the body swap au. We always put the swap in somewhat after everything. What if they got swapped when Bruce was just grieving Jason. I think that would highlight Tim's role as Bruce's parent/caretaker. And Bruce in a teenage body would be more prone to show his real feelings. They stay swapped for that long time. To the point when Jason attacks Bruce in Tim's body(titans tower event). Tim freaks out because that's his son.(and his body) badly injured.

Tim draws up a plan to get Jason back in the family. Jason is pleasantly surprised that "Bruce" changed his ways and is overall a better father.

Now is up to you guys if Jason discovers he attacked bruce and not the "replacement" or he tries to reconcile with "Tim" not knowing thats bruce.

You are correct! The bodyswap au tends to focus on the batfam post Damian's arrival. You are also correct that it could be so fucking painful and analytical and wonderful if we start this out right after Jason's death.

Now, the question is when, exactly, do they switch? Is this pre-Tim!Robin or after he either talks to Dick or wears the suit for the first time?

Pre-Robin, there will be major issues establishing hierarchy, so to speak. Tim's this random kid inhabiting Bruce's body who swears he knew who Batman was before being put into his body. This would be difficult to navigate as far as balancing Bruce's loner/self-destructive tendencies with his distrust. At what point is Bruce willing to forsake asking for help when a complete stranger, much more an untrained kid, is piloting the Batman? Till when will Bruce try to hide this?

Now... Post Paris training arc, Tim has some experience and skills under his belt. He's got a tentative relationship with Bruce. Dick will be more involved at this stage with "Tim," though. It could be heartbreaking for poor Bruce to see his son, his son that he fights with, be so openly caring and loving not knowing it's Bruce. Also, for Bruce to watch Tim mend Dick and Bruce's relationship for Bruce? Brutal :D

To add on, for however long this charade lasts, Tim loses his childhood for that amount of time while Bruce relives his. Tim is forced to be an adult (even more so than he was as Robin), while Bruce has to go to school and shit.

Depending on how long and when this starts, we can add angst with Tim's parents! Bruce having to deal with Jack as "Tim." Jack's last moment with "Tim" actually being with Bruce.

Bet you Tim regrets maintaining the charade like Bruce wanted instead of seeking help after all of that :)

What do you think Enver's first night in the House of Hope was like? Did he see his parent's betrayal coming? Did he miss them anyway? Did he sleep that first night at all?

I've wanted to write a fic about this for so long oml.

I don't think he suspected anything about his parents selling him tbh. He was a brilliant kid and very observant, he wouldn't have survived that long if he wasn't, and he probably did notice his parents speaking with people that weren't exactly customers, conducting something shady. But he was so young. He was so innocent. What kind of child even thinks of the possibility that their parents could give them away? Could sell them for a stupid debt? Especially after working as hard as his little hands and mind could to help around the store, steal from nobles and make money selling his little toys. He was trying to help. How was he supposed to know his parents had other plans?

And my god, the day they took him, it was so fast but no less traumatising. One second he was hiding behind the counter, watching with the curiosity of a 9 year old child as his mother spoke with someone who looked important, the next he was grabbed by the wrist and forced to follow. He screamed, of course, asking what was happening. He cried out to his mom, clawing his way out of the grip, running to grab at her dress and hide himself in the seams. He cried out to her, even when he was pulled again and thrown over the stranger's shoulder and my god his own mother didn't even care to fucking face him as he was taken away and screaming his throat raw.

And his first night there?? Jesus. Talk about traumatising. Imagine being a street urchin in the Lower City who's only heard of devils in fairy tails and suddenly you're in the Hells and in the very house of one. And all you get as an explanation is that you'll play a great role one day and then thrown into a cell you'll call home for a decade to come. Imagine how scared he was of all the new smells, how terrified he must have been hearing all the tortured souls screaming, seeing all these strange people and beasts and monsters who slap him for 'disrespecting them' when he so much as looked at them.

Yeah, I think he missed his parents that first night. He missed being around his mom when she cooked, helping his dad strap leather into shoes, choosing to ignore all the times they hit and yelled and fought, choosing to remember only the good things as he cried his little heart out. Maybe if he remembered them as good, they'd actually come to take him back. He probably ran out of tears that first night, curled up into the corner of his room, sobbing for someone to save him. He probably cried for 2 days straight afterwards. He was just a kid. A confused and helpless and lonely kid. How could they do that to a kid?

Hm... Almost! I think she might've just almost ruined her decade long sobriety of no killing on LIVE TV if Vaggie didn't step in LOL!!

In this rewrite, Charlie's only been good/making a concious effort to try and be good for only like,, 10 years and that's a drop in the ocean when you think about how LONG SHE'S BEEN ALIVE FOR.

So I'm sure it gets hard to control her anger or all her urges!

Was Declan allowed to brush or shower when he was Vince’s prisoner? Does his cell include a washroom?

Yes! Declan was allowed to brush and shower! He had the tiniest washroom in his cell and the tiniest kitchenette too.

The washroom only had the bare necessities; a shower hose and drain, a toilet and a sink with a plastic mirror over it (so he couldn't smash it and use glass shards as a weapon). Vince also left him a bucket filled with toiletries and cleaning supplies so Declan could clean his own quarters.

The problem came when Declan was too weak to make it to his washroom, or when he couldn't find the energy to even crawl for food 😞💔 I plan to show some flashbacks to this in the story when Declan's getting weaker and can't fend for himself and Vince has to force jugs of water down his throat, or drag his limp body into the shower to douse him with the shower head.

Hi if it isn't too much of a bothering can I ask you this little question? How has react Claire to Luke ? Instantly she has signed a stepmother paper (soul) adoption with the agreement of Brenda *^*? She has scolded Hershel about: " you have this precious creature near you and you haven't spent a stepfather and stepson fluffy moments!? How could you Hersh D": !? Now you and Luke go to buy an ice cream u.u"

oh, i'm guessing this is about my ranlayclaire/claire resurrection fic! in that universe, claire is resurrected two years after luke moves to america - so she doesn't actually get to interact with him, at least with the timeline i've written out for the fic right now :,(

THAT SAID: i think that when claire met luke for the first time (probably shortly after luke was born,) she instantly adored him. claire seems to me to be the type of person who would love to have kids and a family, and who finds babies adorable!

and i think in future london, she probably has to take a moment of "oh my god baby luke is all GROWN UP????" because she hasn't seen him since he was like, two years old!

if luke ever comes to visit after she's alive again, she would 100% coddle him the way a grandmother does. "let's go to the museum! of course i'll buy you ice cream! the nice kind with sprinkles. yes of course we can go solve puzzles together :)" while totally ignoring all her responsibilities.
