Dunno if you've done this before, but characters with tall reader!

This is mostly me being sick and having OC obsession brain rot, but the majority of my OCs are 5'9–6'0+ for reference by what I mean for "tall".

Love your writing, by the way! Keep yourself safe and make sure to treat yourself for all the joy you bring your viewers with your writing<3. Also, this is my first request:D

✧ aether. - 5'4"

the traveller, the honorary knight, the swordfish II captain, the first sage of buer: just a few of the multitude of titles aether has earned from the many battles he's fought for teyvat. he's always fighting for people, protecting people, blindly jumping head-first into danger; he needs someone to protect him for a change, and that someone is you.

he always feels safe with you, and the way you stand behind him when he's chatting with friends or purchasing items from vendors makes him feel untouchable; evident by the way he practically melts under your touch.

one of the first things people tend to notice about you is your height, and although it doesn't really bother you, aether thinks it's ignorant and unfair. don't get him wrong, he loves your height, but there's so much more to you than that. he wishes people would notice your style, or your personality, maybe even your smile, anything. as long as nobody tries to steal you from him, he doesn't mind.

he'll often find himself being the little spoon while cuddling, and honestly, it's the thing he most looks forward to after a long day of completing commissions and collecting resources.

he loves how tall you are, how gentle you are, how loving you are; he loves all of you, and he hopes you love all of him too...

✧ venti. - 5'5"

venti loves the way you tower over him, and finds your subsequent protectiveness rather endearing.

your height sometimes intimidates people, and discourages them from wanting to strike up conversation with you. venti, however, was never bothered by it, and had no problem shamelessly flirting with you the very second you entered angel's share that fateful day.

the bard struggles to understand how people could possibly be afraid of you. of course, he knows how strong you are, and is aware of the lengths you'd go to in order to protect him, but nothing about your personality was something to be scared of.

the more he got to know you, the quicker he came to the realisation that you're really just a big softie - a gentle giant, if you will.

your impressive stature also means that you can carry him around. venti loves nothing more than being in your arms, face nuzzled into your chest as you take him to bed after a long day, or resting his head on your shoulder and forcing you to lift him up when he 'falls asleep''.

all in all, your boyfriend views your height is anything but negative. he loves you the way you are, and, as cliché as it sounds, wouldn't change anything about you for the world...

✧ itto. - 6'1"

no matter how tall you are, itto will give you piggyback rides. and you will enjoy them. to put it quite frankly, you don't have a choice.

even though you're taller than him, he still loves to have you in his arms, whether that means cuddling, carrying you around, or simply just hugging you from behind. something about having you in his hold makes him feel stronger and more confident than he ever has before.

the members of the arataki gang were shocked when they first met you, genta mistaking you for itto when he caught sight of your silhouette. nonetheless, they have all grown to be quite fond of you, and often leave small gifts on your doorstep which never fail to bring a smile to your face.

your height was something you sometimes felt ashamed of, however, itto always makes sure you feel happy within yourself, and will do everything in his power to wash the insecurities away; showering you in kisses and telling you just how perfect you are...

✧ alhaitham. - 5'10"

at first, alhaitham was slightly embarrassed that you were taller than him, not because of your appearance, but because of how he'd been relentlessly teasing his roommate for his height while having a partner who stands at an impressive 6'5"...

nevertheless, the scribe truly admires everything about you, and will often just stare. even though he wants nothing more than to have you in his arms, he's more than happy to admire you from afar, to watch you go about your day or make idle chit-chat with the local vendors so that he can just take you in; "archons, they're beautiful".

even though he stands shorter than you, he is extremely protective over you; intertwining his fingers with yours whenever he has the chance, and staring down anyone who 'looks at you wrong'. you often tease him for this, poking fun at his pout before kissing it away with a smile, only for it to return as you pinch his rosy cheeks.

the love alhaitham has for you is immeasurable, and the (not so) little things like your height only make him fall harder for you. his heart skips a beat when he feels your arms snake around his waist from behind, being pulled into your chest as you rest your head on his shoulder. yes, you could still do this even if you were shorter, but for him, nothing compares to being able to sink into you; he rather enjoys feeling smaller when he's with you...

✧ diluc. - 6'1"

you and your husband, diluc, stand at a similar height, him just slightly taller than you at 6'1". people often stare when you walk into a room hand-in-hand, but the darknight hero couldn't be more proud.

he never misses the chance to show you off, introducing you to everyone he knows while making sure to subtly flash the wedding ring he oh so gently slides onto your finger every morning. however, as soon as someone dares to make a rude remark about you, your husband has no problem stepping in front of you and handling the situation himself. yes, you're capable of looking out for yourself, but the redhead always feels the need to protect the ones he loves most.

the two of you are a package deal, and are rarely seen apart from each other unless absolutely necessary. diluc can't stand being away from you, and often finds his mind flooded with thoughts of you when he should be focused on the financial papers spread out on the desk before him.

being the taller ragnvindr, diluc often takes it upon himself to hand you items from higher up shelves, knowing full well you can reach them just fine by yourself. "given my stature, wouldn't it be rude not to hand my partner the things they couldn't possibly reach?", he always asks, pressing a loving kiss on your forehead and handing you whatever you were reaching for. such a tease...

Aoi: Good job on the production, Delacroix-kun! You made the client very happy.

Delacroix: No wonder. It's a work of art that I put my soul into. The guy who commissioned it knew rock too, so I didn't get bored.

Aoi: Come to think of it, when you handed it over, you were both talking passionately about rock.

(They eventually exchanged firm handshakes, so I guess they must have been very much on the same page.)

You've got the whole day off tomorrow, so get some rest.

Delacroix: No, I'll help ya with the museum. Ya said we got more customers after the Valentine's Day live painting, right?

Aoi: Uh? But…

It’s rare for them to get a moment alone these days.

Well – perhaps not a moment. Even with her and Josephine’s schedules, Cecily always finds the time to sneak into the other woman’s office and lure her into a secluded corner of Skyhold to – well – “catch up”. If she didn’t do it at least once every day, it’d be a fair indication that something was wrong. But this, lying lazily in Cecily’s quarters with the sun slanting in through the open windows and the silk sheets tangling their bodies together as the morning stretches on –

This is very, very rare.

Josephine sits up from where she had been lounging against Cecily’s chest and casts a glance at the other woman over her shoulder. “We should probably consider get out of bed soon,” she cautions. “There’s a lot to do today…”

Cecily snorts. “You say that every day,” she answers, “even on days where there is absolutely nothing for us to do. Like today.”

For the most part, she’s right. Their recent expedition to the Frostback Basin proved fruitful, with alliances and resources secured, and as of right now, there is little else on the agenda in the Inquisitor’s immediate future besides travelling back to the Winter Palace in a few months’ time. It will not stay that way, of course – it rarely does in Thedas – but, for now, Cecily has little to do but train with the soldiers, keep up appearances, and, most of all, keep herself safe. Not that that’s difficult with the dedicated forces they have in Skyhold, but sometimes – well, Josephine can’t help but worry. Sometimes it feels as though her only job is to worry when no one else does.

After all, she’s in charge of maintaining Cecily’s wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of the entire Inquisition. She signs the forms and writes the letters in order for them to be gifted food, water, supplies – everything necessary delivered to Skyhold as safely and swiftly as possible at Josephine’s insistence. So while the other members of the Inquisitor’s inner circle can relax during these few rare weeks of downtime, recover from their recent wounds to both their bodies (and occasionally their pride), Josephine must keep working.

Even when her wrist hurts…

“My love, I – I have letters to write,” Josephine replies. “The Marquis –“

“You’ve written a million letters to a million Marquis,” Cecily points out. Not necessarily correct, but – well, Josephine focuses more on the sentiment, eyelashes fluttering shut as Cecily brushes her dark curls out of the way and presses a kiss to the top of her spine. “And none of them can sweet-talk you as well as I can…”

“Mmm… that is true.” Josephine leans back into her lover’s touch, a smile gracing her lips. “But I should…”

“Then don’t let me stop you.” Cecily winds her arms around Josephine’s waist from behind and squeezes her – tight enough for Josephine to feel it, but not too tight that she wouldn’t be able to escape her lover’s embrace with the smallest of pushes. “By all means, if you’d like to leave, then you can leave.”

Josephine sighs. “Well… Perhaps I’ll stay here,” she concedes softly, dropping her head back against Cecily’s shoulder and turning her face to nuzzle her nose against the other woman’s jaw. “If only for a little while longer…”

“Mmm… Are you sure about that?” Cecily asks. “I know I was the one who asked you, but I can’t promise I won’t see to it that that ‘little while’ turns out to be the rest of the day…”

In place of a response, Josephine reaches out and swats playfully at her arm, but Cecily only chuckles. “Come on, lean back against me again. You need to relax for once. I promise I won’t let you fall back asleep.” She pauses. “Probably.”

Against her best judgement – because it really is easy to fall asleep while enveloped in the warmth and comfort of Cecily’s bed – Josephine does as instructed, letting Cecily flop back against the pillows before leaning back and tucking herself underneath the other woman’s chin. It’s a comfortable position, and does little for her determination not to fall asleep, but she doesn’t protest. Instead, she watches, transfixed, as Cecily twines their hands together and raises them off the bed. Shafts of morning sun filter through the space between their fingers like heavenly light, and dust motes dance in the air around them.

“See,” Cecily whispers lowly into Josephine’s ear, her other hand casually trailing up and down Josephine’s arm. “Isn’t this better than being cooped up in your office?”

Josephine smiles in answer.

There’s been many times that she wishes the two of them could get away from it all. The letters and the diplomacy and the writing and the fighting. While she loves her job and her work, and she’s good at it, sometimes it can become a little too much. Of course, the Inquisition is important, and Cecily’s role in it the same, but Josephine often wonders if they could go somewhere for a little while, just the two of them, with nothing to do but stay wrapped up in each other’s arms and laze around in the sun all day. Like this, but for longer than a morning. Even longer than, if Cecily manages to convince her, a single day.

Perhaps they can take a trip to Antiva, spend some time with Josephine’s family. There is a beach on the coast that no one besides the occasional fisherman or farmer ever stumbles across, so if Josephine and Cecily went, they’d have the entire stretch of land to themselves. Or maybe they could visit Kirkwall – she’s certain Varric would make room for them in the Viscount’s keep. And if that’s impossible, they might be able to at least manage a trip to the coast of Ferelden and stay with some of their allies in Highever. The harsh, choppy waves of the Waking Sea would certainly be no match for the glittering water of Rialto Bay, but – well, it’d be close enough… 

“You’re thinking.”

Josephine tilts her head back, grimacing as though she’d been caught with her hand in a cookie jar. “I’m sorry, my love, I cannot help it.”

“Don’t say sorry. What are you thinking about?”

Josephine laces her fingers through Cecily’s and drops their hands back onto the bed. “Mmm… I think that I shouldn’t say,” she answers. “I don’t want to give you any ideas…”

“Ideas about what?”

Cecily’s arm curls possessively across Josephine’s stomach, and she laughs. “N-not like that, Cecily,” she says, her face heating up at the thought. “About – well. If there was time for us to go somewhere, I was wondering where we could go.”

“Go…”

“On a vacation,” Josephine murmurs. The word sounds foreign in her mouth. She’s never considered vacationing before. She feels bad for even doing so now. “Although it’s difficult to believe there are any places in Thedas where we can find a moment of peace…”

“We’re in one already,” Cecily points out. “We don’t even have to leave Skyhold.”

Josephine sits up and rolls over, leaning on her elbows. “I know, but…” She trails off, furrowing her eyebrows. “I think that we should, some day. Don’t you?”

Now that the words have left her lips, a pit of nausea grows in her stomach. She assumed that… As much as she loves Skyhold, she doesn’t want to live here forever. She misses the sun and the ocean and warmth on her skin. It’s a good fortress, and has served them better than she ever thought possible, but it’s perhaps not the best home – and certainly not one where she can see herself settling down and starting a life with someone…

She’d like to. Start a life with Cecily. Well - she’d have to propose first, of course. But she can’t find the words for that. Not yet. Not when there’s still so much to do.

But she wants to. And now she’s scared Cecily might not feel the same...

“I do,” Cecily says, startling Josephine out of her thoughts as she reaches up and cups her cheek. “And we will leave Skyhold someday. I promise. I love this place, but… I’m getting a little sick of the cold.”

“Yes,” Josephine agrees, a laugh in her words. “I am getting very sick of that, too.”

“Well… keep thinking, then,” Cecily says. “About your wild dreams for a romantic vacation, or what you’d like to eat for breakfast - and whether or not it’s something you need to get from the kitchen.” She wiggles her eyebrows and the other woman laughs. “Just don’t think about any letters or missives or noblemen, alright? You deserve a break, Josephine. You work harder than the rest of us combined.”

“I don’t know about that…”

Cecily tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. “It’s true,” she responds. “Now, do I have to write you a strongly-worded letter first, or will you just lie back against me and let me take care of you for once?”

Rolling her eyes, Josephine flips over again and rests her head on Cecily’s chest. She lets out a thoughtful hum as the other woman’s fingers brush through her hair, gently pulling at all the tangles and smoothing over her scalp. She can’t help herself when her eyes flutter shut and she sinks back against Cecily’s body completely, comforted by the other woman’s warmth and the sound of her heart beating beside Josephine’s ear.

She feels herself falling asleep, and, though rare for her to do so, she welcomes it.

yes she is! nerizana is actually my first ever dnd character, and was the first character i completed a campaign with ♡ i hold her close to my heart she is so special to meee

3. when given the trolley situation, would they choose to save one imperishable person or 5 unimportant people?

that's a good question+ i feel like for her, she feels deep attachment to the people close to her (more than she would let on LOL), so she would go for the important person without thinking twice. (or she would think about it after the fact and feel grim, but ultimately wouldn't regret her decision)

18. do you relate to your oc in any way?

HOOOOOOO BOY do i ever <33333 i based her big plot situation on myself, and her enemy is based on someone who used to be my friend long ago, who ended up hurting me. i feel very close to her because of that i think (also she makes the WORST puns and awful jokes that garner faux threats of murder from the group and i just think that's perfect)

OKAY HELL YEAH HELL YEAH!!! so her full name is nerizana valjyre, a high elf who was raised by her single mother in the woods to the side of a decent sized town. when she was a child her mother went off one day and then never returned, leaving 5 year old neri an orphan. she was discovered 3 days later and brought to the small orphanage existing in the nearby town, where she met her foster brother and newfound friend, ashik.

they started going off and becoming a pair of young robin hoods in their teens, stealing from rich pompous bastards so they could afford luxury items for their orphan mother and show her their appreciation, until ashik slowly became more corrupt with a lust for power, and was driven into robbing even kindly and lower class folks, even through threatening violencr - despite nerizana's resistance.

on their final bout together, while they robbed an upper class member, ashik stabbed nerizana and ran with the loot, leaving her for dead as the police promptly arrested her

and several years later, she escaped prison with a vengeance, her single goal to being to find ashik and kill him.

... besides that though! she's a 5'2 bisexual scenemo elf with long black hair and dusty silver/purple eyes and she has an 18 in strength so despite her stature she's BUFF AS HELL

nope! I only do commissions cause I need money to get things I want and my family doesn’t have enough money to pay for. Plus I enjoy writing for others

Yeah! Stories with children whether biological or adopted always get meee even tho sometimes im like these two characters really wouldn’t want or be good with kids;;I’m also a big fan of monsters will read any fic that involves them (unless it has something really gross in it)Just remembered what I forgot. I’m a huge sucker for dark fic! possessiveness, animalistic behavior, kidnapping, murder, im all about it

5: Do you think stories can change lives? Is there a story that has changed yours?

Most definitely! There have been lots of stories that changed my perspective on things and fics that helped me through hard times, To Be Well by tenous/variant being one of them!
