- Reinforced the Red Bull curse and potentially cursed the McLaren seat (as this is where he finally succumbed to the anti-curse)

- Also experienced the Melbourne curse

Nicole Piastri:

- Australian

- Icon

- Actual mother of Oscar Piastri

- Adoptive mother of Yuki Tsunoda

- Has known Mark Webber for years at this point

Yuki Tsunoda:

- Honorary Australian

- Adopted by Nicole Piastri

- Generally beloved by the people of Australia (I remember listening to some Australian commentators talking about how he’s got a lot of Australian fans love him and love vacationing in Australia. There is a definite kinship there).

- Potential new victim of the Melbourne curse (scored points there in 2023 and 2024 but NOT in 2025 after being adopted by Nicole despite running in the top 10 for most of the race)

- Has endured much suffering at the hands of Red Bull. Severely under appreciated by Red Bull leadership. If anyone can understand Mark Webber’s suffering, it’s Yuki

- Is close friends with Pierre Gasly, the first true victim of the curse

- Was teammates with Daniel Ricciardo and witnessed the end of Daniel’s career

Oscar Piastri

- Australian

- Son of Nicole Piastri, adopted son of Mark Webber

- Experienced the Melbourne curse (very obviously in 2025 but also in 2024 when he was given team orders to let Lando repass him, thus giving up a home podium)

- Replaced Daniel at McLaren - meaning that Yuki + Oscar are the two that Daniel lost out to at the end of his career

- Potential experiencer of the McLaren curse -> Lando and Oscar’s dynamic has evolved to look more and more like multi 21, with these fuckers going so far as to joke about multi 21 in the Shanghai cooldown room?? This suggests that in his time at McLaren, Daniel brought with him the expansion of the Red Bull curse

- Despite the increasing number of incidents, Lando and Oscar have been able to maintain a strong relationship (in fact, their relationship has gotten even stronger). They have managed to remain close WITHOUT either of them giving in and accepting the role of the second driver. They have both remained competitive, which is important. This suggests both that the newer generation has learned from the mistakes of generations past and that the Piastri line (which Yuki is now a part of) is strong when it comes to fighting curses.

The conclusion: Oscar, despite being just as tangled up in this web as Yuki, cannot be the one to defeat the curse because he has never been a part of the Red Bull family. Furthermore, to put Mark Webber’s son in the Red Bull seat would only tempt fate and could result in an even worse tragedy. Oscar is also already occupied fighting the expansion of the curse on the McLaren front. Thus, Yuki may very well be the only one who can break the curse.

I’m sorry but I need to talk about “we’re just gonna skip that stage” bc that shit can be taken so many different ways. He’s both saying that he and whizzer will never actually grow old together but he’s also saying that the two of them, individually will never “get better with age” because at this point whizzer is dead (spoiler if you didn’t know) and soon Marvin will be too. It’s like a double entendre but the saddest one to date, bc it basically confirms his HIV diagnosis but also just breaks our hearts with the fact that the two will never grow old together

My favourite thing about Stucky is the nonexistency of it (if we stay as close to canon as possible, as that's how I like my ships).

It's agnsty, probably unrequited or simply not accepted, buried deep inside. I like the unhappy ending, Steve leaving Bucky, because it's good, interesting, full of emotions. It's the definition of hurt/no comfort. (If I were to read fanfic about them, I'd read that moment.)

And this is all I like about it. Because apart from this heavy angst, the tragedies, I find it extremely boring. The whole ship. Everything good is the sad part, but they can't be sad forever. And, it just doesn't exist.

Sambucky (my babies) however, it's the perfect amount of happiness, sadness, hurt/comfort. Enemies to friends to lovers. It's a nice slow burn. Everything can stay really really close to canon, like it almost is, but still, we can speculate, have our own theories. Sambucky has some angst, as both characters have a lot of truma, but that's not all there is to them.

I'm contrary, I feel like all Stuck is (for me), is a sad past.

I enjoy Sambucky fics where Bucky was in love with Steve at one point (and Sam with Riley). Because yes, one person can have multiple big loves, love that feels like it's the right one, when it isn't. The important thing is, that in the end, Sam and Bucky find one another and learn to love each other.

They change, develope, learn to love each other. There are so many layers to their relationship, even if you don't ship them. And these layers, they are not all tragic. Most of them aren't. Sam and Bucky are made for each other, even if it may not seem like that at fist (pre tfatws), but they are, especially because of this.

And I don't want to compare them a lot, Sambucky and Stucky, because they shouldn't be. They can coexist, peacefully. I believe they should (no one can convince me that Bucky wasn't head over heels for Steve). Still, all Stucky has is tragedy and heartbreak while Sambucky is healing.

senshi hug: 10/10. that’s a solid hug right there. bit awkward with the height difference but they made it work

chilchuck hug: 5/10. i’ve been laughing at this for 10 minutes. an effort was made. points have been awarded for an obvious attempt at making chilchuck more comfortable but still is still the awkwardest hug i’ve ever seen. it is painfully obvious that laios once attempted to crouch down to hug chilchuck and received a kick to the nuts and was cursed out for 20 minutes, and has adapted to this so that chilchuck doesn’t kill laios or himself

marcille hug: 8/10. this is the way i hug my relatives that i don’t see very often at family events but it’s still a solid hug

shuro hug: 2/10. this is a great hug but points have been deducted because shuro is a bastard man
