Nice to seeya after all this time, tumblr landscapes changed a lot. If you're thinking of coming back due to news about unbanning nsfw, take it with a grain of salt, nothing has been solidified on that front and twitters better for that sort of thing. Music scene is pretty much dead here and lot of the art scene too. On the other hand, place is a lot quieter and generally calmer outside of the occasional bigot showing up to get dogpiled by a trans skeleton wizard. Biggest blogs I can think of rn are cryptotheism if you like occult/esoteric info and conspiracy theory lore, natalie ironside for scifi writings, jame7t tumblrs local meowmeow, and demilypyro the dutch crowdfunded transfem gamer. The age of tumblr funnymen is over, and staff still wont do anything about the nazis. Im sure someone else can point out some other good blogs to look at, happy traveling.

Hmm... I mean I'm not "back" explicitly because of the nsfw "unbanning" but it's definitely piqued my interest that they're at least trying to right some wrongs.

"Quiet" and "Calm" sound appealing, as I feel kind of like... I can't really nerd out about the things I want to in the detail I want to on Twitter or Facebook or Instagram because we're all slaves to the almighty algorithms.

Music and Art scene can't be worse than Twitter, let's be honest.

I don't miss tumblr funnymen - they were never that funny and always sort of irked me.

The Nazis are a problem everywhere too, if we're honest (which is gross.)

Hey I thought I should elaborate on what's going on and what I'll be doing with this blog.

First of all, I'm not deactivating it, I'll still be posting things like what I'm doing in games, reblogging things, and of course stuff that's relevant to my streams. I just won't be posting anything overtly personal anymore.

While people have often told me that they appreciate getting to hear my personal trans experience, in recent years there's just been this constant pattern of people assuming bad faith on anything I say or do, that it's all a sign that I'm secretly evil, and it's been seriously impacting my mental health and my ability to even get out of bed. It's been making me feel persecuted in both cisnormative society and the trans community, and it's not sustainable. I've been having panic attacks. It's bad.

I've tried blocking people, I've been seeing a therapist, I've done everything I think I can do. I've considered just quitting my job entirely but that's not an option, since given my disabilities I have no other work opportunities. I'd be out on the street in weeks. So this is my solution.

I've made a new personal account, one that I won't be sharing here. I think I'll enjoy using this site without people watching me like a hawk. That's not to say this account will be inactive. Expect stream links, game screenshots, fanart reblogs, stream clips, media recommendations, some ask answers, the occasional selfie, things like that. I'm sorry I had to take this measure, but my mental health has been at a breaking point for a while now. I hope people will still be willing to support my content even without that personal perspective on my life.

So I saw you asked for good trans-rep manga on DemilyPyro's "unethical gender tank"-post, and I can only say: "The witch's servant and the demon lord's horns" by Mochi-sensei. Trust me. I know the title souds generic af, but it's *good*.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check it out, while the title may sound generic I think (granted knowing nothing except the title and synopsis I saw) it does a good job laying out a world, without actually over explaining anything.

On an only semi-related note, can I just say how "fun" it is having to guess if gender swap/bender/transformation media is thinly veiled fetish material, an excuse to draw women in compromising situations, or the minority actually dealing with the themes of gender being mutable much less actually being trans rep?

I'm always interested in more reading recommendations for trans, or just good queer, rep. I usually read science/speculative fiction, and am always looking for something that can unseat Helicopter Story as my favorite read

Getting a Monster of the Week campaign ready for my Friday group, and so far the party consists of:

*An Egyptian demigod chosen one who wants nothing to do with this prophecy bullshit

*An old city inspector from an order of monster hunters that lost money to a crypto scam

*A homeless Filipino mermaid with a crocodile spirit companion

*Basically Greed from FMA

*A gay Muslim angel who was kicked out of Heaven for being to lenient about who he let through the pearly gates

*A nonbinary spirit medium who needs to be more careful about which spirits they let into their head

I get the feeling this is going to be a fun campaign. :)

I've been watching the Monster of the Week campaign Offbeat Melody for the past few years now and have basically been using the comment section to live react to a given session's moments as I'm watching, but this session was a rare treat because I was able to catch as it was streaming, which meant that I got to experience the players reacting to my jokes and comments in real time. XD
