“I’m not that short!” KK protests indignantly, her arms crossed over her chest childishly. The other members of UCONN’s women’s basketball team giggle at her protests, reveling in the fact that in comparison to the rest of them, she was definitely shorter.

You chuckle from where you’re sitting on your girlfriend’s lap, amused that KK was lowkey getting bullied for being 5’9" when you were much shorter.

“Guys, be nice. KK is very tall,” you defend, giving her an understanding look.

“Okay, so boom, you’re my favorite,” KK declares earnestly, sticking her tongue out mockingly at Paige. 

Paige’s eyes narrow at KK, and she pulls you in tighter to her body protectively.

“Her short ass is mine,” Paige smirks, pulling you in for a kiss, eliciting groans from the rest of the team.

“Paigey,” you whine, dragging the syllables of your girlfriend’s name from the tip of your tongue. You had joined Paige and the team for a night out at the bar, and you had gone a little bit past your typical limit. The haze of the alcohol, mixed with the intoxicating feel of Paige’s touch had you feeling woozy. “Can you carry me?” you pout up at your girlfriend, flashing your puppy dog eyes for good measure. It was impossible for Paige to say no to you, and your pleading look and jutting bottom lip has your girlfriend lifting you up into her arms in mere seconds. 

“You’re lucky you’re so cute. And tiny,” Paige mumbles, a fond look plastered upon her features. 

“I’m lucky I have such a nice, sexy, tall girlfriend,” you slur drunkenly, as you enjoy the ride up the stairs back to Paige’s apartment. 

As you enter the apartment, she carries you into the bathroom and sits you onto the counter. 

“Gotta get my pretty girl ready for bed,” Paige says, already pulling out the stuff you kept in her bathroom cabinet. She helps you brush your teeth and take off all your makeup before lifting you back off the counter and taking you to her bed.

“I love you,” you mumble against her neck as she wishes you a good night with a gentle kiss pressed to your forehead.

“Hey, baby,” you say, getting Paige’s attention. You show her a tiktok where a couple trades outfits. “Let’s do this!” You exclaim, causing a chuckle to leave Paige’s mouth.

“Babe, I won’t fit in those tiny, little dresses you like to wear. But what the hell, I’m down,” she assents.

30 minutes later, you are setting up your phone, already dressed in one of Paige’s Nike tech tracksuits and a pair of her shoes. You were swamped in her clothing, and her shoes made you look like a clown. 

“Girl, you look hilarious,” Kayla laughs. “I can’t wait to see Paige in one of your dresses!”

“Me, too!” you giggle. “Thanks again for helping out.”

“I would never miss this,” she responds, finishing the signature braided ponytail that Paige wore for game days.

A few minutes later, Paige emerges from the bathroom, clad in a sundress and heels. You had done her makeup, and her hair was down in soft blonde waves.

You squeal in delight, running up to her and gushing at how pretty your girlfriend looked. 

“My ass is gonna be out,” Paige pouts, attempting to pull the dress further over her thighs. “I don’t know how you wear this shit.”

“I’m okay with your ass being out. And I’m like eight inches shorter than you, that’s why,” you giggle.

Nevertheless, the tiktok blew up, and Paige’s fans loved seeing the height difference.

It was no secret that Paige loved to tease you about your height. But when she wasn’t resting her elbow on the top of your head or waving down at you, she was relishing in the benefits of your height. 

She took great pleasure in the way your smaller body fit perfectly against hers. Spooning with Paige was utter perfection, and you spent many nights with content sighs spilling from your mouth as she pulled you close to her, a muscular arm slung across you and a large hand splayed against your belly. 

Your shortness also proved to be quite useful in fitting in small spaces. Paige’s lap tended to be your favorite spot, and you spent many nights curled up flush against her chest with Paige drawing shapes on your legs. Your head always ended up in the crook of her neck, your small exhales tickling the sensitive, pale flesh.

And when Paige hugged you, her chin rested perfectly on the top of your head. Your arms wrap around her slim waist, bringing her close to you, and she moans in content at the contact. Your hugs were addictive to Paige, and your height just added to the perfection. The two of you fit together like two pieces of a puzzle.

a/n: guys I'm trying to finish all my recent asks in my inbox I swear. Life's been lifin' all of the sudden and I barely have time to write so apologies for that. Got a lot of drafts that I'm working on rn.

Warning: Paige is a yapper. Some spelling mistakes (hopefully not). A bit rushed tbh

“You look hilarious,” Azzi giggled, staring at her phone screen where their FaceTime call was running.

“Thanks, Azzi,” Paige deadpanned, trying to swallow the lump in her throat. She wiped her palms on her pants, only for Brittany to swat her hands away, scolding her.

Azzi's smile softened as Paige protested, her eyebrows furrowing. “You know you don't have to do this, right?”

“Don't start with that, Azzi,” Paige's exasperated tone didn't go unnoticed as she wiped her hands on a nearby towel. “We agreed that today was the day.”

Azzi threw her hands up in defeat, her smile unwavering. “I'm just saying.”

Paige had underestimated how bad her nerves would flare up at the idea of stepping onto a stage full of legends, with cameras recording her every move, to profess her love for her girlfriend to the whole entire world to see. It had been a tough conversation, but Azzi had convinced Paige to wait until the season was over, when they were no longer teammates.

“I'll do it, just you watch.” Suddenly, the normal confidence Paige always had resurfaced as a smug look settled on her face.

Azzi could still see through the facade.

“Hey, you know it's already on in the living room,” Azzi said, flipping the camera to show the TV. It showed the red carpet, which was almost over, and Paige's panic returned.

“Gosh, I just wish you were here.” Paige set her phone in front of her, properly showing her whole upper body to Azzi. She looked stunning. The blonde hunched over, taking a deep breath. “It would be easier.”

“You know I would be there if I could, babe. Something came up.” For a moment, there was complete silence, except for the rustling of Azzi dropping onto her sofa. “Plus, I won't have like… a million cameras shoved in my face. Which is nice.”

“Yeah, you're right.”

“Alright, you two, we gotta wrap it up. Paige, you're up in a few.” Brittany's voice startled the blood out of Paige's face as she flinched.

Azzi giggled. “I'll get going. And Paige… just do what feels right when you get up there, okay?”

“Yeah. I'll try.” She cleared her throat. “I love you.”

“Love you too, Paige.”

Paige was totally not ready for it. As the awards passed one by one, she found it increasingly harder to stay still in her seat.

“Bro, do you have ants on your ass or something?” Aubrey chuckled, whispering towards Paige.

“Something like that.” Paige adjusted her suit, applying pressure to her chest. She felt like she was going to throw up.

“Seriously, you good?” From her other side, Ice whispered, her expression a bit more worried than Aubrey's. Even with the makeup, Paige looked pale as a ghost.

“I'm good.”

Aubrey and Ice exchanged questioning looks as Paige didn't even bother to glance at them, her eyes glued to the presenters.

The lump in her throat grew until it was hard to swallow. She tensed when her phone buzzed in her pants.

From: Azzi

You look nervous, babe. [Attached image]

Paige opened the image, seeing a picture of her on the tv screen, jaw clenched and eyes wide.

From: Paige

I look crazy.

From: Azzi

You don't have to do this, Paige.

From: Paige

I want to, Azzi.

Do you not want me to?

From: Azzi

Of course I do.

From: Paige

That's all the I need to hear then.

From: Azzi

I just don't want you to feel stressed or obligated.

Especially in front of such an important stage and audience.

From: Paige

Then it's decided.

“Hey!” CD whispered from behind her. “Put your phone away, missy. This isn't the place for texting.”

“Sorry CD.” Paige rubs the back of her neck, feeling a bit embarrassed to have been called out at such an age. She put her phone away and heard the next award being announced.

Best female college athlete.

Paige straightens up, silently thanking CD from snapping her out of her little daydream. They went through the nominees, teasing the winner before finally announcing the long-awaited name.

Paige Bueckers from the University of Connecticut.

The crowd burst into cheers as Paige let out a huff of air and made her way through the row after a few hugs from her teammates.

She shuffled through the rows and climbed to the stage, where she was met with a few hugs and finally her trophy.

“Wow.” She huffs, looking around the venue, “I would like to start by saying that it's an honor to be able to receive this amazing award for a second time. I can't express just how much it means to stand here after all the hardships thrown my way.”

Speaking to such an intimidating crowd, knowing there were thousands watching from their homes, never got easier for Paige.

“Second, I'd like to thank my family. Thank you for sticking by my side and being my anchor through everything. Without them, I wouldn't be standing here today. And to my teammates, who have been my rock. They were a force to be reckoned with all season, and it was thanks to them that we brought home a championship.”

The crowd hung on her every word.

“It's no secret the injuries that have plagued our team these past seasons and even me a few years ago. It felt liberating knowing that if I ever fell, they would be there to pick me up and I don't think I could ever express how much I love those girls and just how much they mean to me”

Paige thought of Azzi at home, watching her, and the basketball legends before her. She traced the lines of the trophy, clearing her throat.

“To my coaches, who weren't afraid to show me tough love, I appreciate you all. It made my time at Connecticut all the more enjoyable. To Geno, who didn't shy away from telling me how to be the best and how to make those around me be better. I’m glad that I'll be able to call Uconn my home for as long as I live because it's an honor. Whether it sounds odd, I thank God that I tore my ACL while surrounded by such an amazing family because I wouldn't have been able to bounce back in such a dominant manner."

It was now or never.

“One of the main reasons I'm eternally grateful for this program is because I was able to build a deeper relationship with a teammate who you all may know very well,” Paige shifts her hands, feeling them sweat again. “We went through the same injury, and everything was easier to navigate with her around because we just got each other and knew what we were going through. I want to thank her for her love and unconditional support because she deserves that and more. She picked me up when it felt impossible."

She chuckled. Paige had been on big stages many times, but this felt different. The ground beneath her feet seemed to shift as the blood rushed to her ears, muffling the sounds around her. Her surroundings faded as she locked eyes with the big camera before her.

“That's why... I would like to thank my amazing girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, in front of everyone here today because she deserves the world.” Paige hears the muffled sound of gasps and cheers. “So, because I know she's home watching, I love you, baby. None of this would be possible without you.”

Paige took a deep breath, feeling a crushing weight lift off her chest. It was done.

She smiled for the first time that night and looked away from the camera, addressing the crowd. “Thank you for this award. I'll cut my speech short since I know it's running a bit long.” Laughter spread through the crowd, but most looked shocked, especially her teammates. She lifted her trophy with a smile, realizing how little she cared about anyone's opinion. “Thank you.”

“Didn't think you had it in you,” Caroline said, opening the door to Paige's makeup room. “Seriously, dude. Getting up there and just saying, 'oh, and I'm dating my bestie by the way' is crazy”

Paige deflated in her chair. After her speech, she had been ushered away for pictures and questions and hadn't heard from her teammates. She hadn't even checked her phone which was undoubtedly flooded with missed calls and messages.

“I wanted to throw up.”

Then, as if on cue, Aubrey, Ice, and KK entered together. “Dude, what the fuck was that?” KK screamed, laughing together with Ice. “Huge balls you got there, dude.”

“Oh, shut up, KK. Like you aren't head over heels over your girl too.” Paige shot back, eyebrows furrowing as she checked her phone. KK and Ice burst out laughing, dragging Aubrey to sit on the couch.

“It's on Do Not Disturb, Paige.” Sensing the urgency, Caroline put a hand on her shoulder, pointing at the unmistakable symbol of DND.

“Thanks.” Paige mumbled, turning it off and feeling relieved as messages flooded in. Hundreds of notifications took over her phone, but she only cared about one.

“Dude, you're already trending on Twitter.” Aubrey showed her screen, Twitter opened, but Paige didn't bother looking.

“Oh, and the articles are already popping up,” Ice added.

Finally, after some searching, Paige found Azzi's message.

From: Azzi

Such a sweet talker.

I love you too Paige

From: Paige

You liked it?

I tried to keep it short but I think that was too little or maybe too much??

I definitely could've added more to it.

Paige stared at the messages, nervous to hear from Azzi.

That validation calmed Paige almost immediately. Nothing seemed to matter anymore.

From: Paige

Wanna call? I could tell you everything now.

From: Azzi

Yeah… if I'm correct, CD is about to burst through that door any second.

Either that or every reporter that was in that building wants to hear from you after that declaration of love in front of the whole world.

Let's wait until you get to the hotel, okay?

Right on cue, the rest of the team entered her room.

It had been a long season, and Paige had been looking forward to this night out for weeks. You had a big exam the next morning, so you reluctantly decided to stay behind, promising Paige you’d join her and the team another time. You watched her leave with Azzi and KK, her laughter echoing down the hallway.

Hours passed, and you buried yourself in your textbooks, trying not to think about what you might be missing. The buzzing of your phone pulled you out of your study trance. You glanced at the screen to see Azzi’s name flashing. 

“Hey, Azzi. What’s up?”

“Hey, we need you to come get Paige. She’s, um, drunk. Like, really drunk,” Azzi said, a mixture of amusement and concern in her voice.

You sighed, not surprised but a little worried. “Okay, where are you guys?”

“We’re at the club downtown. She’s fine, just... a bit too enthusiastic with the drinks. KK and I are with her, so don’t worry.”

“Alright, I’m on my way. Keep an eye on her until I get there,” you said, grabbing your keys and heading out the door.

The club was buzzing with energy when you arrived, the music vibrating through the walls. You made your way through the crowd, spotting Azzi and KK near the bar. And there was Paige, her face flushed and eyes unfocused, attempting to dance on a barstool.

“Heyyyyy!” Paige exclaimed, almost losing her balance before KK caught her.

You couldn’t help but laugh. “Hey, baby. Are we having fun? Good time?”

“Too good,” Azzi said, shaking her head with a grin. “She’s been trying to sing karaoke with the wrong lyrics for the past half hour.”

“Time to get you home, superstar,” you said, wrapping an arm around Paige to steady her.

“Nooo, I’m not even that drunk for real..” Paige protested, though she didn’t resist as you guided her towards the exit.

KK chuckled. “Good luck with her. She’s been quite the entertainment tonight.”

“Thanks for calling me. I’ll take it from here,” you said, giving them a grateful smile.

Once outside, the cool night air seemed to sober Paige up a little, but she was still far from steady. “You’re pretty” she mumbled, leaning heavily on you.

“Thank you, love” you replied, helping her into the car.

The drive home was filled with Paige’s drunken ramblings, you couldn’t help but smile, her words both sweet and hilariously slurred.

When you finally got her home, you guided her to the couch, grabbing a glass of water and some aspirin. “Here, drink this. You’ll thank me tomorrow.”

Paige obediently took the glass, drinking slowly. “You’re so good to me,” she said, her eyes starting to droop.

“Someone has to be,” you teased, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “Now get some sleep.”

She smiled, her eyes fluttering shut. “Love you,” she murmured.

“Love you too,” you whispered, watching as she drifted off.

The next morning, you woke to find Paige groaning on the couch, clutching her head. “Morning, sunshine,” you said, handing her another glass of water.

“Never letting KK buy me shots again,” she mumbled, taking the water gratefully.

You laughed, sitting down beside her. “Maybe next time, you’ll pace yourself a bit better.”

She leaned her head on your shoulder, closing her eyes. “Yeah, yeah. Thanks babe”

“Always,” you said, kissing the top of her head. “Now, let’s get some breakfast. You’re going to need it.”

I’m rereading all of your fics bc I have completely crashed out bc of that bday post (thanks Paige)… and I love all of the pet names you use between Paige and Azzi 😭 like P calling A “baby”, “love”, “babe”… it’s so domestic and makes me think about THE live when Azzi is trying to Paige’s attention and yells “HONEYYY!”

MK’s eye twitched.

“Blackberries!”

Azure’s did the same.

“Strawberries are the perfect fruit! They can go in anything and are loved by everyone!”

Mei knew they loved their partners. They did! And the two poor shmucks had tried so hard to get these two idiots to come to an agreement, to little avail. Jing and Nezha were stubborn as mules, refusing to back down.

It was affecting everyone. The guards oooked miserable Everytime the topic was brought up. Sands strait up avoided tea time with them. Tang and Pigsy had resorted to wearing headphones to block out their fighting. Even Mei herself had stopped eating the fruits in question, just from how many related products the two Li’s shoved at her.

But poor mk and azure. As the partners of said fighting couple, they had no way out of this. Currently, they were seated on opposite sides, just listening to the days current fight.

“Blackberries are a unique taste that requires a fine palette!”

“Blackberries are a disgusting waste of fruit! They don’t even have a real color-!”

“Strawberries are red, not pink! Yet that’s the color they are often associated with-!”

“Strawberries are better-!”

“Blackberries are superior-!

“You wanna fight me on that old man?!”

“I’ll kick your ass you smartass brat!!”

Mei could see the exact moment Mk snapped.

“ENOUGH!”

Nezha and Jing were promptly grabbed by their respective partners, heaved into the air via the back of their shirts. They looked like kittens, and their stunned looks made the whole thing even more hilarious. Mei quickly covered her mouth to hide any laughter as the whole shop fell silent.

“We have had it with you two! All you do is fight over some stupid fruit!” Azure snapped, cutting Jing off as he went to speak. “This whole thing is getting ridiculous! It’s fruit. Not everybody is going to like one of the other! It’s a subjective opinion!”

“Not to mention,” Mk looked at Nezha in particular. “you were fixing to have an actual fight over it! Enough is enough, and I’m putting an end to this right here, right now! If you can’t get along, then you’re both going in timeout!”

Mei had to turn her head to hide her smile, and she could see Pigsy and tang do the same as the two celestials immediately tried to protest, clearly outraged. Timeouts were something Pigsy would do whenever mk and Mei had a bad argument, and it seems Mk was following in his footsteps.

Mk remained steadfast in his decision. “No! No arguing! You’re both going to sit in timeout and have a good think about it!”

Jing looked at Azure with incredulity and a bit of hurt, but azure remain unmoved as well. Mei had to cover her mouth again when the two celestials were moved to opposite sides of the shop and sat in separate booths. But the best part was their reactions. Nezha looked both irritated and offended, but Jing was downright sulking, giving Azure sad eyes and everything!

“Azzy-“

“Enough out of you.”

Oh. OH. Has this happened before?!

Mei took a deep breath, quickly walking to the back as her resolve started to crack. Thank haveans it was only the gang, Pigsy having closed early after the recent battle. Once she was safely out of earshot, she burst into laughter.

“Bwahahahaha! Ohmystarstheirfaces-!” She could barely get the words out between laughs, leaning against the kitchen counter. She vaguely saw Pigsy put down his ladle, head bowed as his own shoulders shook with silent laughter. Tang had no such reservations, laughing right along side Mei. They all laughed for a good little bit, before eventually pulling themselves together.

“So,” panted Tang, wiping some tears. “how long do you think Mk is gonna keep them there.”

“Probably less then an hour. Knowing mk, hed cave the minute Nezha gives him puppy eyes.”

Pigsy snorted, and Tang nodded his head at Mei’s reasoning. “Seems fair.”

True to Mei’s word, it lasted half an hour. Except, it wasn’t Mk, or even azure who broke first. It was Jing. Mei watched as Jing quietly tapped Azures hand, and when azure looked at him with a brow raised, he said something quietly. Mei couldn’t hear, but whatever it was made Azure soften, and he nodded. Azure then whispered something to mk, and he nodded as well. The two of them, Suprisingly, made their way into the kitchen as well.

Everyone else had migrated there after a while, so they were the last two in there. Everyone just looked at Mk and Azure in confusion, Mei included, but they just shook their heads.

Mei peaked back out, and saw Jing sitting across from Nezha. Both looked ashamed, and they were speaking quietly enough that Mei couldn’t hear. But she could tell it was definitely personal. The last thing she saw was the two of them getting up to hug before she quickly pulled her head back.

“So. You two worked things out?” Macaque asked the next day, looking curiously at Jing and Nezha as the shop bustled with people. The two nodded, both looking embarrassed.

“Yes. We have.” Jing confirmed, awkwardly rubbing his neck.

“We’re sorry we made you guys have to step in. We got so caught up in it, we forgot it was supposed to be a fun debate. Not a war.” Nezha rubbed his arm, smiling apologetically.

“It’s fine.” Reassured Mei, the others making noises of agreement. “Just, next time? Maybe don’t get so competitive.”

“We can try,” said Jing, and a slightly mischievous smile came across his and Nezha’s faces. “But it’s in our nature.”

Nezha nodded, his own smile growing. “Who do you think I get it from?”

“Behave.” Mk and Azure chorused together, their tones a deadpan as they whacked their respective partners shoulders. Mei didn’t hold back her laughter this time as father and son pouted.

Well, let's see, there was the one where everyone was "shifted" around. Asriel, there was an adorable kid with this cool rainbow scarf. It was strange seeing Mom as a royal guard and even stranger seeing Sans as a king. But, I was alive in that one, so I liked it. Azzy was embarrassed by seeing himself acting like that. I didn't let it go for weeks.

There was one where Frisk and I are both male, and I'm a raging alcoholic and Azzy has a successful streaming career. That one was fun, I was hilarious while drunk. This one Azzy kept teasing me about, claiming that if I wasn't the princess, I'd be like them, unemployed.

There was one where Frisk was still a kid and opened a blog like this one for fun. Their Chara was evil at first, but thanks to Asriel and friendship, they were revived in their old body and are now a skeleton. Oh, and Azzy is alive as well. This one we both enjoyed, it was nice seeing things work out for our younger selves.

It's possible you already knew about these, but they are the one that jump to my mind first.

Now that i think about it, Azzy and I didn't have too many adventures after that one...

*She goes silent for a moment as if contemplating something*

This last one is on the darker side, so I understand if you don't want to hear about it. It was definitely the roughest time we had in any of these other worlds. To be honest, it still haunts us both a bit.

Frisk: "We haven't really gone out much, we usually talk and joke and... occasionally fight with the ones who come to us, I wouldn't mind adventuring out like you guys, it sounds like a lot of fun,"

Flowey: "Is it possible that your Asriel is going on adventures with Cassandra instead?"

The Queen then speaks up again after the moment of silence.

Flowey: "Hmm...as much as I love dark stories, I think I want to pass on this one, we've heard a little too much about the worst alternate worlds recently, and some of them make even me sick to my stomach,"

Frisk: "Yeaaahh, I'm going to pass too, if he can't handle something, then I definitely can't either,"

Chara doesn't give an answer, so it is to be assumed they either agree with the other two teenagers, or just does not care.

Massive DragaSwap Asks!

Heya, Folks! Got a massive information dump for the wonderful DragaSwaps! 

@rofa1309​ Ohboy! This is actually my favorite, because Azure actually sleeps hilariously and adorably!! 

Azure sleeps like a literal egg; Meaning he curls up, arms under his head, hands cradling his skull slightly, while his wings completely cover and wrap around him while his tail’s magic goes out, leaving him with his boney tail nub! 

Though it would be a hell of a lot easier if Azzie would just... Y’know, move his horns like his brother?? Like, keep them back or position them some DIFFERENT way?? He prefers to never move them, but that’s alright... He seriously loves curling up and being literally compacted. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had him in your home, you’re trying to look for him; And here you haven’t found him ALL DAY... But you open a closet door, and here you just see something that shouldn’t be there... Low and behold, it’s fucking Azzie sleeping like an egg in your closet xDDD

Abyss? He sleeps easily with his ability to move his horns. Normally ends up sleeping on the magical-substances, honestly! Doesn’t hurt him though, he’s so used to sleeping on them, on his hood, but it does shock him awake when he’s able to pinch his hood magic.

However if they really could; They could turn their magic off within their horns (And other spots containing their magic) but they only do this when regenerating from fights! 

Oh, the brothers would be very cautious if it’s a new person their meeting! Actually, they have to be; They wouldn’t dare go near someone/thing/monster without fully understanding the situation at hand. So basically, that won’t happen... At least... With Azzie.

However, if you’ve already known them for a bit but not much or something to that affect;

Azure would be watching your moves and curious of what you may be staring at. 

He’ll focus really hard on whatever spot you’re daydreaming at and trying to see if he finds the appeal of... What is that? A rock? Why? What’s so special about it? And he’ll literally get closer to you to try and view what you are; And if you jolt when he gets too close; He’ll probably be so focused on the spot himself he’ll either; -Not notice you jumping, with furrowed brows and trying so hard to figure out the meaning behind your staring at a thing -Or if you make a noise; He’ll accidentally hiss and jolt himself before asking you questions!

Abyss, well...

Truth be told, he’d keep staring at you. He’s the jokester, so he’ll begin to make small tail movements around your direction and keep playing around like that until he finally gets a reaction from you. Either his tail, flaring his hood a bit, ‘sssss’ing softly or the like; And when you jolt? He’s going to rightfully laugh and chuckle, make a few jokes where he can.

If it’s a first time meeting; He’ll stay hidden and keep a close watch on you. Though, he’s the more curious one, ironically; Had to be, after Azzies accident. If you’re, lets say... About to fall off a cliff or something; He might help ya out but without showing himself. If he somehow ends up doing so, however; He would be as tense as you. His hood would flare, his eyes would darken as his eyelights would turn to tiny slits, waiting for you to make a move first... If you showed that expression though, he would relax a bit and chuckle, then start telling you to watch where you step and quickly get you both back on the ways you were heading.

But, if you catch this boy in his Feeding Frenzy... Walking in on him while he’s Eating; Could literally be anything, but he would become more than aggressive. With his mind on the concept of Food only; you better turn right around as soon as you hear his rumbling and warning hiss he will no doubt do. He’s... Very feral when in this area. His Food, His Feeding; You better pray he has a full stomach so he doesn’t chase after you. 

Lord only knows what the fuck he’d do if he managed to still be hungry!!

@inkswirl​ Both brothers would be... Well! Very enthralled with that!! After the whole jolting and semi freaking out because you had somehow came right up and asked them, anyways! 

After the shock;

Azure would fluster a bit; Never had a picture taken at all or had someone wanting to look at him like they didn’t want him dead or something! Though he’d be super flattered, he would actually try and say he isn’t that interesting due to all the low self-esteem in his mind raging, perhaps trying to get you to draw his brother instead??? But all in all, if you were a bit more insistent, he would ask shyly if he could see it afterward. 

Abyss wouldn’t care at all which way it would go; You might get a bit annoyed with the picture taking, though... Film is easy to convert, especially with Magic Waves he would give out and basically say he isn’t doing anything when you become frustrated at the camera for not being able to take ‘Good Pictures’ of the brothers... Even Azzie is disappointed, but Abyss wouldn’t care. No photo evidence. Yet, you sketching them? Yeah, he’d be all for it and sit and sun bathe, take a nap while you do your thing; Because it’ll be drawn, so theres no real danger in it.

Both of the guys would prefer night; But thats due to the fact they’re nocturnal! Though if they could, especially Azure, he’d try to become a day-bird... He HAS tried, but it’s failed so much... Doesn’t stop him though! He turned to half/half while Abyss is all for the night. 

There are rare days though they’ll be up during the days; But that’s probably due to work or someone disturbed them! Or their minds won’t let them rest~

Yes! Both brothers have the ability to merge or camouflage with their backgrounds/surroundings! However, it takes a bit of time for it to completely cover them, so they have to be stealthy... It’s quick to disappear, though! It’s due to so much magic within that makes up their horns and everything, that it’s used to help them go basically invisible! It’s why their so rare for; No other Monster in their area can do this, making them the perfect candidates for being Protectors!

 That’s actually two different terms of Hunter; 

Azure's meaning is he literally Hunts for food and patrolling around. His brother is whats called a Watcher, where he stays in place. 

Hunters for Humans is what I have called the Mages right now; They’re out to get any Monster they can; Whether it be for Magic, Dust, whatever treasure they can get their hands on, or even just for kicks. It’s literally like those people who have a lot of money and hunt Lions or other rare breeds of animals and some WILL kill for sport.

Actually!! This is slightly flipped; Both the brothers are constantly out in the Forbidden Forest making rounds and making sure trespassers are taken cared of. Mainly with kindness, but they both aren’t scared to get forceful! The Monsters where never Underground and don’t plan to be; Though, ironically most would prefer it rather than being up in the open due to previous attacks way back when they could remember by Hunters. It would be hella-lot safer, that’s for sure! But ever since the Brothers were put as Protectors, everything has been... Good?? Better??? It’s seriously nice; Even though some may not be very welcoming to them :’)

Nah, the Royal Guards are deeper within the Forbidden Forest. What Azure and Abyss are? Their much higher than that, so they have no need for it! But, most of the RG’s are very jealous, because the two get to see from outside the Forest, basically!

But when the brothers get bored and feel no other living forces around? Well, Abyss is the Sunbather. But if he sleeps for far too long, Azure will actually come and push him or have a bottle of cold water to wake his brother up!

Azure likes to; 

-Soar in the sky high above the trees, will even go into the Mountains for a while! He’s the explorer and enjoys to sight see. Sometimes, he’ll even travel as far as he can go before the beads on his outfit warn him to turn back. -If he’s able to find any small creatures; He ends up so side tracked playing with them, he doesn’t realize he’s been gone for hours! Especially little cougar cubs and baby bears... And he becomes great friends with a lot of the woodland and other creatures! At least they don’t judge him... -If it’s super late at night and there hasn’t been any humans wandering within their territory for a long while; He’ll actually go to the Village of a particular one to make sure the Humans are alright. There is a certain Human too he enjoys to hang out with, or... Did. 

Abyss enjoys;

-To literally stay in one spot and laze about. And if he can easily catch critters that go in his path, he’ll eat them out of boredom. -He seriously loves pranking his brother, but he has a dark twist to it. Azzie is and has been sick of his humor though. -One of his favorites is to eat squirrels and chipmunks in front of Azzie and Azure’s actual reaction is getting Pissed The Fuck Off and Abyss loves it. (No, worry not; The Animals don’t suffer long. Abyss makes sure it’s quick.) -He... Will watch his stomach digest his food when he’s extremely bored. It’s like watching tv for him. -Go into their Village and talk with other Monsters and just try to have an enjoyable time. Sometimes it’s hard, but at least a few of them don’t mind what he is!

Ohhhh, you got some pretty cool hobbies, Rofa!! That water painting sounds super relaxing and ultra pretty ♥ But Hobbies for the boys, huh?... Well, lets see...

Azure is the one who ventures, so hiking is his main thing! But if not hiking, he really does enjoy to cook~ Feeding animals is also his ordeal, while learning from the humans of their medication things! He’s very curious how they heal!! Not to mention, want to heal animals, as well!

Abyss is the one who’s all about making clothing from furs and hides. You wouldn’t think he’d be the one to make clothing or anything, but he’s gotta do something productive so his brother doesn’t yell at him... He’s also the fire maker, a bit of a pyro, and enjoys to cook, too. Very big foodie, always looking how to get herbs or learning how to cook; But he’s also good with working and construction types. Building firepits to camps, he’s very much the builder despite not looking like it!

I have not really thought of them quite yet; So if people have ideas for them, I wouldn’t be opposed to hearing you out!! 

And because it’s a Swap verse; Yes! My Grillby would be a Gillby, the Water Element! 

Yes, actually!! A very good relationship; Abyss and Asgore get along very well together. It’s actually because Abyss shows interest more in the Monster heritage that Asgore is happy to have him in their area! 

But, that brings up the question for Azure... Toriel is fine with both the boys; But Asgore might be very weary of Azzie due to his interest in the Humans and then how he got hurt. Still though, he watches out for both of the Brothers and makes sure their alright! He’s still a loveable Goatdad! Just questions Azzie’s place sometimes...

- once again we have azzy forcibly commandeering the museum’s activities and i for one find this eternally hilarious. i can’t remember if this was headcanon or they really did imply it but it reminds me of the idea that he funded most/all of the excavation of the throne room. i love this guy he literally can’t help getting personally involved with That Zarosian Shit(tm)

- THE OFFHAND COMMENT THAT HE ACTUALLY IS A GOOD ARCHAEOLOGIST, congratulations azzy on finally learning how to behave. stop intimidating your workmen now

- whatever the fuck that papyrus is about, I love it. did you notice that the giant crystal thing has the same design as the one set into azzy’s diadem? that is some tasty tasty consistency. also it’s got rune symbols... the four basic elements plus blood and law. that absolutely means something but I can’t make any meaningful guesses atm. we know that gielinor as a higher planet is based on the air/earth/fire/water quartet of elements, and that freneskae as a lower planet is based on the ancient elements, so I’m sure that’s something to do with it, with blood there. honestly if law wasn’t so strongly associated with saradomin, it’d fit perfectly too. what a great representation of “control” it would be.

- one side of the papyrus has a sun symbol and one has the zarosian cross. my immediate urge would be to say “tumeken”, but the figure standing there is so obviously wearing roman garb, it’s definitely a representation of the empire-- OH SHIT I JUST REALISED WHAT THIS SCROLL IS

it’s zaros bringing agriculture to gielinor! the four basic elements, blood the element of life, law to represent the order and “artifice” of farming, the sun shining down, that thing on the left is obviously a plant, GOD THAT’S SO CLEVER. I LOVE IT

The Eye, the Lonely and the Hunt!

The Eye: If you were an avatar of any entity, which one would it be?

hmmm. i think probably either the lonely or the vast? i'm prone to isolating myself and scared of being alone and unloved, but i'm also very scared of heights (that one episode with the guy who was uncomfortable with stairs and couldn't climb ladders? yeah i'm exactly like that) and of deep dark water (i love swimming but i get uncomfortable if i can neither see nor touch the bottom, and when i played abzû the parts where you swim over totally open water freaked me out), on top of having an enduring fascination with and love for the ocean that could definitely translate into that idea of sinking into an endless sea.

The Lonely: Name a few of your friends and your favorite things about them.

maeve is unfailingly kind and considerate, and she can always make me laugh and cheer me up. jonathan (no relation lmao) is always comfortable to be around, always understanding, and very fun to watch dumb movies with. azzy is hilarious and an amazing DM and i think it's so wonderful that we've known each other for so long now and even though we've gone through periods where we didn't talk as much it's never awkward to talk to them, only ever easy and fun.

The Hunt: Would you be a monster hunter?
