I'll be honest man I keep forgetting that your story is technically hetalia fanfic so when you start talking about SicIre I think to myself "which of those fully original characters of hers are named Sic and Ire?"

THAT'S SO VALID ANON, I just thought of that again myself. How strange and illogical it must seem that I keep referring to Harry and Michele by SicIre.

I also love "technically Hetalia fanfic". Because YEAH, it technically definitely is. It works best as dialogue with the source material and I am having a lot of fun with the Hetalia characters, so I'm not ashamed of that aspect. However, advertising it first and foremost as Hetalia fanfic also feels a bit ... inaccurate, right? It's technically Hetalia Fanfic but also. So much orig fic. I've made tons of new friends who like my OCs and story/stories but aren't into hetalia and don't need to be to get it. And if you are one of them OR one of the Hetalia ones who likes my OC HIIIII ANON AL PACINO PASSIONATE KISS DOT GIF. THANK YOU I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH.

And last but not least. We can honestly be so glad it's Hetalia, because I fucking suck at normal shipnames. Michele/Harry? Nightmare combo too, because not ONE vowel or consonant overlap. And their surnames are also tricky to combine - Vento and O'Connel??? Let us all appreciate the beautiful simplicity of Hetalia shipnames that spared us my bullshit.

Lan Jingyi opened his mouth, but the voice that answered his friend wasn’t his. “I think I might have an idea.”

The kids squealed and jumped in surprise, Xiao A-Yi turned to look at him with wide eyes and A-Yuan pressed his hands on his mouth, as if to take back the loud noise. Before he could get that guilty expression in his face, Lan Xichen scooped him in one of his arms and started his most successful distracting technique. An even louder squeal was pried from his nephew. 

“Gege! Xichen-ge!” A-Yuan squirmed in his hold, kicking and trying to push his hand away as it began to squeeze his side non stop, playful, restless fingers spidering and pinching every inch of ticklish skin the ticklish spot. His high squeaky laughter began traveling across the air and the younger one wiggled and wiggled until he could turn around and shove his face in his shoulder, melting completely on him as his entire body shook with his giggles and crackles.

“Yes?” Lan Xichen nuzzled the top of his head, happily. He would have to move him soon, both to be sure that Xiao A-Yuan was breathing properly and to see that delightful smile in his expression. “No need to get shy, little bunny, I think you’re doing a wonderful job at distracting me. I even forgot what I even came here to do.”

there’s not really a complaint i’m sick of hearing tbh! most fandom complaints are very valid. maybe if i was pressed, i’d want people to give some of the young girls in the fandom a bit of slack for their internalised misogyny since alot of them are young and dealing with shit that they’ll eventually grow out of

This is the best possible ask any writer could ever recieve and I am SO HAPPY that my bizarre little characters have resonated with you! The fact that someone besides me cares about a person I made up is so so weird and awesome!

I promise I will post more fic for you as soon as Real Life calms down and I have time for such things, hopefully tomorrow. Although I should probably warn you, a lot of what I have written about these two is not as fluffy as what's been posted so far - I do write dark stuff sometimes, but it will all be tagged accordingly of course.

To tide your over, a hint of what's to come: I have an entire AU whose premise is these characters meeting much sooner in their lives, as university students, and proceeding to become found family about it. Torchwood comes into the picture eventually, and so does Katie Russel - who also joins the found family and doesn't die like in canon (or at all. I hate killing characters and I'm too fond of her now). It's a weird polycule thing in which Owen and Katie are romantically in love and then everyone else is platonically/queerplatonically in a relationship with each other. It's kinda messy timeline wise but frankly I'm about to say fuck timelines and post chunks of it anyways.

Yes I did in fact get myself into a situation where there are two main characters named Cate and Katie, yes I regret this, but no there is nothing I can do about it now. It was very unintentional, as I never intended to write about Katie Russel - she just waltzed into my story and decided to stay. And the OC's name could not be changed at that point - it had stuck. Hopefully this does not come across as too weird/implausible/annoying, because it's out of my control.

Yes I know I'm the author and allegedly like god to my characters but look, sometimes they just do stuff and I have to write it down and yell things like "hey! You broke my plot!" while frantically restructuring the entire story around their shenanigans.

9. What/who inspired you to start making gifs

I feel like I already talked about it but I love my story so here we go. After the 3j butter video dropped i saw so many sets but I couldn’t find Hoseok centric so I decided to do it myself. (It’s my second set ever because the first one was Boy Meets Evil and it was so bad I never published it 🫣) I remember it was close to his birthday and #cyphernet hosted birthday event so I took part in few days challenges. Overall I get into giffing because there wasn’t enough Hobi sets for me to reblog 🤷‍♀️

18. For the aesthetic, for the laughs, or for the feels what your preference

As I’m the proudest of my bts x the office collaboration that resulted in my holy trilogy (1, 2 and 3) I have to say for laughs 🥰 And I can truthfully say that I come back to read the tags on these three regularly because they are always able to make me smile and feel so happy. So yeah 💛

34. A set that took you a long time/was really hard but you’re really proud of how it came out

I’ll cheat here a little. Because shadow Yoongi set is my baby and it was the first time I tried something more advanced. It took me a long time to do it and it was worth every second. But the true monster that took me about two weeks to finish was my bts anniversary discography set. I threw it away a few times and always came back to it in the end. Firstly, it took me so long to find clips with 7 of them from actual era then finding good sequence so they all can be seen NIGHTMARE and then the fucking numbers, it was mind numbing!!! BUT I loved using that template and choosing my fave songs and everything else 💛

49. How much would you say you’ve improved since you first started giffing

Well I have to say A LOT because looking back on my old sets I cringe so hard sometimes. Sometimes it’s coloring, sometimes it’s sharpening or quality. But it’s constant process so I won’t ever be able to say I’m good with what I’m doing 🤷‍♀️ I’m quite proud of the skills that I learned in the last months especially. Trying new things and getting them to actually work is very satisfying (you have no idea how I screamed when I finally got to understand clipping masks or the happy dance I did after making successful the motion blur gif).
