I'm researching geeky t-shirts for fic writing reasons (if you have any recommendations please drop them in the comments) and I found this ridiculousness:
Tumblr media
Have these people ever even MET a scientist?! It's literally a field that's about being wrong! And then learning how we were wrong so we can be less wrong! That's the scientific process! We're wrong so so frequently and that's the POINT!

Thank you to all my Followers!
Tumblr media
Anya couldn't contain her excitement as she soared up into the sky, playfully positioning herself right in Revali's path while he was in the middle of his training routine. Her wings beat with enthusiasm, and she wore a radiant smile that outshone the sun.
"Hey, Revali!" she called out cheerfully, hovering effortlessly before him. "Guess what? We have actual people following us on Tumblr right now! Isn't that amazing?"
Revali, mid-flight and fully concentrated on his maneuvers, attempted to barely acknowledge her presence. He executed a flawless aerial maneuver before finally reluctantly turning his attention toward Anya, his expression unimpressed but not entirely dismissive.
"Is that so?" he remarked, his tone cool and composed. "Well, they should be following. After all, they're witnessing the unparalleled skill and expertise of a true warrior, I am of course talking about myself. They could learn a thing or two."
Anya rolled her eyes playfully at Revali's characteristic arrogance. "Oh, come on, Revali," she teased. "Can't you just be excited for once? It's not every day we get this kind of attention!"
Revali sighed, clearly uninterested in the fanfare. "Maybe not for YOU. Anya, I, however, have always been exceptional."
Anya chuckled at his response, her wings fluttering with amusement. "Well, I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you. But still, it's nice to have some admirers, even if your standards are too high to admit it."
Revali smirked ever so slightly. "Fine, fine. Let them follow. As long as they don't make fools of themselves, there are enough of you flying around." He then continued with his training, leaving Anya to enjoy the attention and kindness from their Tumblr audience on her own.

Another weird fantasy au
This is entirely based off my brainrot for Selkie!Wind and I regret NOTHING (also I need a distraction from my brain so au time)
Wind
Heā€™s a Selkie! Donā€™t think I need a reason for this but also I just thought it would be cute
Time
Canā€™t decide between a moon spirit, a nature spirit, or some sort of custom half-deity. I donā€™t think any of these need to be explained if you heard about/have played any of his games
Small edit: thanks to someone reminding me about the heroā€™s shade existing, maybe some sort of skeletal mythological creature? Though in my mini search none of the beings I found really struck me as something that Time would be so Iā€™ll probably just make something up for him at some point
Warriors
Centaur. No idea what specific horse his bottom half would be but I imagine it would be a breed that can be blond and is also a known war horse breed
Legend
Dragon! He and Ravio would be dragons. But only because he hoards so much stuff and if he didnā€™t I would make him a mermaid (who says I canā€™t make him both though?)
Hyrule
A faerie! Self explanatory if you ever read any fanfic who makes Hyrule half fae
Wild
A cervitaur! Which is a type of deer centaur. I donā€™t know what breed his deer half would be (as I am not an expert of deer and only know about the white-tailed deer) but it probably would be something that is as chaotic as him
Twilight
Ordon goat saytr or a werewolf! Both are pretty self explanatory I believe, just canā€™t decide which one to go with
Sky
An avian! No other explanations needed. I think he would be a bird that is fast but has very little stamina. Or a bird who is known for sleeping
Four
Very self indulgent, but a sword spirit! I usually headcanon him as one and it would just hurt my brain trying to make him something else and find something that would match the colors too (well, ignoring the Minish)
I think that whenever someone either started their adventure or ended one they got magically turned into a creature that fits them the best. So before their adventure they would be a regular hylian and magically become a little guy! The Zeldaā€™s I would assume also get their own little magical species to be as well, either being the same as the Linkā€™s if theyā€™re related of having a different one entirely.
Iā€™m only sure about Tetraā€™s, Fableā€™s, and Floraā€™s. Tetra would be a modern siren that you see in most present day media instead of the Greek mythos accurate one. Fable would be a dragon like Legend (as I headcanon them to be twins), and Flora would be a dragon as well.
The other Zeldaā€™s I am unsure about
Depending on how much free time I have this week I may draw some of them (namely Wind as he currently has stolen the favorite spot from Four) but no promises :)
Some self-indulgent Linkā€™s in this au as well even though they arenā€™t canon to LU!
First
I think he would be either a centaur but instead of a horse itā€™s a lion or an avian! Or possibly neither of them, I donā€™t know. He has no Zelda (as Hylia is very much alive during the manga) and iā€™m pretty sure Hylia wouldnā€™t make herself look different for a war that she thought would be finished after the first hero
Spirit
Indulgent once again but a selkie like Wind! Mostly so if I ever write about this au I can have someone mistake them for twins still. This also fuels into my own headcanon of Spirit being a direct descendant of Wind. I think his Zelda would be some sort of spirit but which the added bonus of everyone being able to see her and not just Spirit

Trust Fall (Revali X Reader) - Part 1
Word Count: 2,780
Pairing: Revali X Reader (Female)
Fandom/Universe: Legend of Zelda (Breath of The Wild)
Themes/Content: Romance (Slow Burn), Fantasy, Action.
Warnings: None
Synopsis: You visit your friend in Rito Village in order to escape the sense of dread looming over your home of Castle Town as the prophesied doomsday slowly grows closer. It is here on your visit that you meet a Rito warrior who turns your world upside-down.
Authors Note: Finally got round to writing this! Since he's not mentioned in TOTK at all I just had to start a fanfic for him. I miss him so much. I'm uploading this from my laptop so if the formate is weird or there needs to be more paragraphs just let me know! I don't consider myself a pro on Zelda lore so I do apologise for any mistakes. Also, this fan fiction will have two endings! (One canon to BOTW and one canon to Hyrule Warriors) Other than that, I hope you enjoy! - I don't know what to call myself... should I go by my username? What about something stupid like Loafus?... I don't know... I'll work on it šŸŖ¶šŸ¤Ž
Rito Village was your second home. You felt so much comfort and associated the place with such a feeling of warmth, it was surprising you hadn't made it your permanent residence. When it came to Rito Village you only had positive memories.
This was mostly due to your best friend, Frita, being a rito. The two of you had met at a very young age and had been best friends ever since, visiting each other every couple of weeks or whenever you had spare time. She would teach you about the ways of the rito and you in turn would teach her about hylians. Frita truly was like a sister to you, and you loved her more than words could say.
"Daydreaming again?", her voice broke you from your thoughts, her bright blue eyes sparkling with joy. You blinked a few times, finally registering her words, and you couldn't help but giggle to yourself. "Yes, I guess I was". "What we're you daydreaming about?", she asked, turning her attention back to the salmon sizzling in the village's communal cooking pot, the aroma swirling through the air, making your mouth water in anticipation. Later in the night was the perfect time for cooking here as most ritos had gone to sleep; Their poor night vision meant that many would retire early in the evening. "Just thinking about flying", you confess sheepishly and Frita rolled her eyes playfully, responding with, "You're always thinking about flying". "I can't help it whenever I'm here. You all look so majestic and free", you gushed. "I would love to be able to experience what it's like to fly for myself instead of having to be on your back". "Perhaps if you pray to Hylia enough she'll allow you to become one of us", she chuckled and you couldn't help but laugh along with her. Frita eventually added the tebantha wheat to the pot and the goat butter as the two of you talked about everything under the stars. "Are you still planning on moving to Hateno Village?", she asked as she began to plate up your dinners. "Yes, unfortunately. It means I'llĀ  be further away from you", you mumbled and Frita's face fell in disappointment. "It's the best option as, if this impending doom really is to show itself one day, the city centre is most likely one of the first places to be attacked. If I could, I'd love to live here with you". "Well, why don't you?". You shook your head. "You know I'd stick out like a sore thumb here. I wouldn't be able to pull my weight or help the village in any way. I'd be more of a burden than anything". "Perhaps not! If I could find a way for you to easily integrate into life here, would you move here?". The more Frita spoke, the more you felt a warmth spread through your entire being. "You'd have me, you'd be well protected- our warriors are exceptional, there's plenty of food and resources in the areaā€¦ just don't make any final decisions to move just yet. Allow me a chance". You chuckled, taken aback by your friends willingness to help you and keep you by her side. "Okay, I'll give you a chance".
You cut yourself short when you noticed movement out of your peripheral vision. The gentle padding of talloned footsteps grew closer and bright emerald green eyes encased in bright red watched from the darkness. Finally a rito came into view. "Rather late to be cooking, don't you think?". His tone was sharp and precise, you couldn't tell if he was making small talk or if he was irritated with the fact that the two of you were occupying the cook pot. Did he usually use it at this time? "Oh! Revali! Sorry, did you want to use the cooking pot", Frita asked, a light quality to her voice as she politely addressed him, yet an awkward silence seemed to settle over the three of you as his eyes travelled from her to settle on you, staring down his beak right into your very soul. "Who is this hylian?", he asked bluntly. "This is my best friend. She's visiting for a short while", she informed him of your name and that you were from Castle Town. "Would you care to join us?", you then offered, cutting through the awkward pause in conversation. "We have plenty to go around". Frita cut you a glance, surprised by your sudden offer, but did not protest, adding "Yes, do join us! I'm assuming you've just finished practice? You must be famished". Revali opened his beak but quickly shut it, perhaps to reject the offer but thought better of it. He took a moment to smooth out the cream scarf around his neck. "Well, if you insist, I suppose I could join you", he hummed, making his way to sit across from you.
As he took his seat, he placed a beautifully crafted bow to his side, coated in vibrant colours and intricate designs, a scrap of teal fabric tied to one end. He held himself with pride, sitting tall, spine straight, shoulders squared. With the fact that he was taller than you, it was a little intimidating. "Have you visited our village before?", he asked, and it took you a second to realise his question was directed towards you. "Oh yes, plenty of times. I've been visiting since I was a child. That's how I met Frita", you explained, gesturing to your friend as dinner was being dished onto plates chiselled from stone. "Hmm, surely I would have met you by now if that were the case", he muttered as he was handed his food, "it's interesting how our paths have never crossed". You shrugged unsure of what else to say, other than, "Perhaps we weren't meant to meet yet. Us meeting now may be fate?", you laughed lightly, amused by the thought. Revali scoffed in response, "I believe we are in control of our own fate. For example; I didn't become one of the greatest rito warriors through fate and sheer dumb luck alone". "And so modest about it too", you joked which caused Frita to just about choke on her food. She tried to excuse herself as calmly as possible, covering her beak with her wing while still coughing her lungs up. Judging by her reaction, you considered how you may have overstepped a boundary. Not everyone knew when you were joking upon first meeting you. You often sounded more serious than you intended. "I'm only teasing", you clarified, playing with your food on the end of your fork absentmindedly. "I'm sure you'reĀ  more than deserving of the title", you tried for your most sincere smile you could conjure, yet Revali didn't seem convince.
Finally, Frita had caught her breath, tears in the corners of her eyes. "No no, Revali really is the greatest of our warriors. Our people gave him that title", she croaked, her throat sounding raw from coughing. "He's the pride of the rito", she insisted, dropping her voice to a more serious tone. Your face contorted in amused disbelief before you began to wrack your brain for any information that would help you deduct the truth. "So he is the rito that's won the annual archery competition for the past five years? He's that same-ā€¦", you began to trail off, recalling the conversation you had with your father.
You came from a wealthy family, both your parents working for the King and late Queen of Hyrule . Your mother was the royal gerudo correspondent and your father was the royal rito correspondent- this being the reason you spent so much time in Rito Village growing up, as well as Gerudo Town. You remembered the past few years you couldn't make the annual archery competition held in the village, since you were either accompanying your mother on business trips or doing your own work, but you father had come home stating how the rito 'Revali' had won again. He would then follow up by talking about his superb skills and how his talent for aerial combat were superior in comparison to his peers. Your father claimed that the rito was unmatched and unrivalled, as well as claiming that he may very soon be known as one of- if not the most skilled warrior in all of Hyrule. (Which was very high praise coming from your father, since he was rarely impressed by anyone).
It was like a shock wave was sent through your body. "In the name of Hylia! I didn't realise it was you! I am so sorry! Please forgive my rudeness", you blubbered, putting your half eaten dinner aside, stumbling over your words as you rushed out your apology. "So you have heard of me", he lulled before an amused smirk graced his features. "I suppose I can forgive you since your rudeness was more disbelief than pure ignorance". "Thank youā€, you breathed a sigh of relief. ā€œI have heard a lot about your skills and I-ā€¦ wellā€¦", once again you had trailed off. You looked to Frita for reassurance, yet she seemed as nervous as you; her posture was stiff as she sat with a straight spine, her eyes glancing between you and the navy rito. "From what I've heard, you're an incredibly skilled archer", you approached the conversation cautiously, hoping this angle would amend any bitterness you may have caused. Revali looked a you and you felt your breath catch in your throat as you locked eyes before he let out a gruff chuckle. "I suppose you could say that".
You and Frita ate in a comfortable silence while listening to Revali drawl on about the countless competitions he's won along with his many talents regarding aerial combat. Before long, your mind began to wonder.
You couldn't help but think of home. How it was slowly being consumed by a festering anxiety. There was a heavy air across the whole of Castle Town as you all prepared for this prophesied impending doom. The army had began vigorously training since last month. Some of those warriors were your friends- people you had grown up with. It was terrifying to think how some of them you may never see again once the Calamity strikes. Some were beginning to research the ancient technology that had recently been unearthed to see if they could be used to defend Hyrule. These were called guardians, and then there were also the recently uncovered Divine Beasts. At times, it was all a bit much, being at the central hub of Hyrule where there is no escape from the looming sense of dread. Things were moving so quickly and it seemed as though you may never escape the ever present anxiety that hung in the air of Castle Town. But here, in Rito Village, people seemed more relaxed. Many ritos believed that their home would not be effected by the foreseen Calamity. This made the village a nice escape from daily life back home. Here, you weren't reminded of what was to come. You weren't reminded of your duties. You could just breathe easier here in the village nestled into the rocky pillar.
"I do love it here. Rito Village is such a beautiful place. I don't have a single bad memory while being here", you gushed, earning a raised brow from Revali at your comments about his home, his interest now piqued. "Is that so?". Before you could stop her, Frita spewed, "Yes, in fact, she might move here". You shot her a look, a signal to keep that information between the two of you, to which she sheepishly dipped her head in response. You didn't want others knowing of your plans to move just yet, especially since you hadn't even mentioned it to your parents. "A hylian living amongst ritos?", Revali questioned, an amused undertone laced within his words as his luminous eyes narrowed a fraction, as if trying to read your expressions for some sign of the truth. "Hylians aren't equipped for living here. You would struggle". "Yet so many visit and get by just fine", you bit back, sharp tongued yet it was all said with a simple smile across your lips. What he said was true, yet you disliked how he assumed you would struggle when Frita, a fellow rito, believed you could easily adapt to life in the village. "Visiting and residing are very different though", he then shot back, cocking his head to the side as he examined you and your heart began to pound slightly. You felt a pout develop on your features, brows furrowed. He made a point you couldn't argue against. It was the truth. "Well, I'm taking it upon myself to help her integrate into the village before she permanently moves here", Frita chipped in, sensing some tension settling in the air. "If you truly want to move here", Revali began, capturing your attention once more. He wore a smug smirk before he finished, "You'll have to prove yourself".
"Prove myself?", you parroted. "Yes. You'll have to learn our ways and prove to us that you belong here". Revali studied you for a moment, as if he hadn't been doing so all night already. "Firstly, the women of our village are know for being beautiful singers and us men are talented archers. Tell me, can you sing?".
Being from one of the wealthier families of Hyrule Kingdom, you did have the privilege of music lessons from a young age. Your parents wanted the best for you, so consequentially, you had many lessons in a multitude of subjects and areas; Geography, horse riding, music, dance, literature, cooking, etiquette, biology and more.
"I have had many singing lessons", you informed the feathered man matter-of-factly. "It's more a matter of personal taste weather you believe I sound good". "Perhaps you could sing for me tomorrow then. After my training, well meet at the flight range. You can showcase your voice there", he challenged, the smirk across his features growing as he stared down his beak at you. "After all, it would be rather nice to have something to help me relax after such strenuous training", he teased. "And if my voice is to your liking, what do I receive then?". There was a slight pause. "What do you mean?", he tilted his head slightly, perplexed by your response. "Well, if my voice is to your liking then that would mean I have somewhat proven myself worthy of living here amongst your kind", you began, Revali's attention honed in on you, "Which I believe would be worth a reward". "Your reward would be living amongst us", you ignored his comment, pressing on. "That being said, if I prove myself, then I would like to learn archery". "What good would that do you?", he asked. "It's always good for a woman to be able to defend herself, wouldn't you agree?". "But if you were living in Rito Village you wouldn't need to defend yourself", he argued. "I'd have to say it's always good for a woman to know how to use a bow", Frita affirmed your point, edging a little closer to you as she joined the conversation. "Especially a hylian. They are smaller than most races, so it's most likely that any threat they face will be larger than them and could over power them", Frita continued, delving more into her argument. "Exactly, Frita! Meaning wouldn't it be beneficial to have a long range weapon in that instance? Surely, with your knowledge on combat as one of the greatest warriors of our time, you'd agree, Revali". You couldn't help but notice how the feathers around his chest plate plumed in reaction to your words. You'd noticed many ritos would unintentionally do this when feeling prideful, being boastful or being frustrated or angry. Perhaps it was a subconscious way of asserting dominance? Like how a Hylian may square their shoulders to appear larger and more confident in front of others. "It would be an honour to have you teach me".
There was a pause.
"I suppose it would be beneficial for you to have the most skilled archer teach youā€¦", he mused looking off into the night, as if he barely acknowledged your being , like you were nothing more than a speck on his radar.Ā  A nuisance. "Alright, you have yourself a deal; continuously show your willingness and progression to integrate into our society, and in turn I will teach you how to use a bow". "And you swear not to go back on your word?", you quirked a brow in Revali's direction. "I swear".

Hey, it's not just me!
I have one giant document for each fandom I write in and they're all 150+ pages with dozens of fics.
I had to switch from google docs to word because 175 pages is about where google docs just ceases to function.
Please reblogged with the unhinged thing you do while writing fanfiction
I'll go first
All of my fanfic is in a 158 page google doc called 'oops' and there's at least 6 fics in there and I just scroll randomly until I find one I want to write in

Ocarina of Time: The War a Decade Ago
One aspect of Ocarina of Time was always pretty neat to me, but also something I didn't feel a need to bring up in fandom circles for decades because I thought it was so obvious there was no point to discussion because obviously everybody had already noticed it themselves, right?
But over the years evidence accumulated that it... wasn't actually Something Everyone Knew? I'd see videos or posts talking about 'secret' aspects of Ocarina of Time's writing that didn't mention it at all, people praising the writing's maturity and nuance that never addressed the topic, and of course Ocarina of Time fanfic conspicuously didn't mention it, even though fandom is often fond of filling in this kind of implication with a detailed story imagining what precisely might have happened.
So then I spent several years trying to figure out how to talk about it without sounding like I think everyone is dumb for not noticing this thing I found extremely obvious, gave up because a lot of crap was going on with my life anyway, and then finally recently arrived at giving the backstory I just wrote out for context.
So what's this Weird Secret Nobody Talks About?
Well, it's right there in the title of course: that Ocarina of Time tells us a war happened about a decade ago, and actually has a lot of clues as to the nature of that war if you pay attention, even though we only get a handful of bits directly addressing said war.
The most direct bit is why I spent decades assuming Everyone Knew: if you've beaten Ocarina of Time -if you got even around halfway through it- you have in fact definitely seen the most explicit reference to this war: when you clear the Forest Temple and the Great Deku Tree Sprout goes 'yeah, you're not a Kokiri', he explains that Link's mother fled soldiers chasing her into the Lost Woods and asked the Great Deku Tree to take her child as she was dying. (Presumably from injuries the soldiers inflicted on her in the pursuit)
(I've always wondered how other people 'fill in' for this that it apparently doesn't get other people assuming a war was happening)
This then connects to a lot of other bits to imply things: for example, Darunia mentions that the King of Hyrule is his Sworn Brother. He doesn't say why this is so, what the King of Hyrule did to earn this honor, but you might notice that Darunia declares Link to be a Sworn Brother upon killing the Dodongo King and so making Dodongo Cavern safe for Gorons to get food from: this suggests that Sworn Brother is earned for doing something greatly beneficial to a Goron, very possibly specifically in a martial capacity.
Which kind of suggests that the King of Hyrule and Darunia had battlefield experiences where the King of Hyrule saved Darunia's life or some such. And Link's backstory seems to indicate there was a war ten-ish years ago... hmm.
Also notable is that there's a number of allusions to the idea that the Gorons and Zora weren't always allies to Hylians, and in fact even to this day they're pretty reclusive: Zora's Domain is designed to only be accessible to Zora, Hyrule's royal family, and people who can prove a connection to the royal family. Death Mountain is locked off to the general public, with Link having to use Zelda's letter to get permission to go up it ie he needs royal authority to get through. (And Darunia hiding in his room is refusing to open the door until a royal messenger of Hyrule shows up) It seems like both peoples only recently got on good terms with Hylians, and are mostly trusting the royal family in specific.
Then there's the state of Hyrule Field itself. When Link is a child, the land is haunted by the restless dead: Stalchildren come out to attack relentlessly when the sun is down. Ocarina of Time (and indeed the Zelda series more broadly) pretty clearly ascribes to the 'the dead do not rest easy when they die having been wronged or having died brutally' model of the undead, with ghosts haunting graveyards, Adult Link's version of Hyrule Castle Town being a scorched wreck filled with zombies, the Shadow Temple being literally haunted and presented as being where all the royal family's metaphorical skeletons are stuffed into the metaphorical closet, etc, so this infinite legion of nighttime Stalchildren seems to imply a lot of people died horrifically in Hyrule Field not terribly long ago.
Conspicuously, 7 years later, the Stalchildren are gone. There's Big Poes and intermittently a smaller Poe will pop out of nowhere to attack Link, and Hyrule Castle Town is a zombie-infested wreck, but in spite of Gannondorf's reign being very explicitly very brutal the Stalchildren haven't stuck around. This is itself consistent with the restless dead model, where generally the dead do eventually rest easy without necessarily needing an exorcism or some such.
So there's an implication here that not too long ago -ten years ago, say- a cataclysmic war occurred that got a lot of people killed very brutally.
In turn, it seems like the current King of Hyrule probably was a big driver of the war ending in a peaceful manner: the Zora trust him, Darunia trusts him, and his key failing within Ocarina of Time is trying to make nice with another population that the Hylians have bad blood with (The Gerudo) and blowing off his daughter when she says the current Gerudo leader is a very bad man who shouldn't be trusted. It's easy to draw a throughline here, where Zelda's father tried to make nice with the Goron and Zora even though they were ancestral enemies, and it worked so well that of course he's repeating this tactic with the Gerudo.
The fact that the Shadow Temple shows us that the Hyrule royal family has a lot of skeletons in its closet also gives obvious possible reasons for Hyrule's neighbors mistrusting them. It's easy to imagine that Zelda's grandfather, and that man's father, and so on, were probably warmongers or otherwise not particularly pleasant rulers, with a history of waging war on their neighbors or otherwise being pretty awful to them, and the Zora and Gorons and Gerudo are wary of the possibility of this happening again.
The fact that Link's mother was probably on the run from Hylian soldiers (We don't get told their species, but if they weren't Hylians the usual thing would be to explicitly say they were Goron soldiers or whoever) is also suggestive of the nature of the war of ten years ago: it probably wasn't a war fought firmly on the lines of species. Probably Hylians were fighting among themselves, a civil war of some kind! Maybe Zelda's father couped his own father precisely over the man's aforementioned probable habits as a ruler, or maybe it was a 'grassroots' rebellion of peasants against the king's oppressive rule; I'm not aware of any particularly strong hints as to the likely details of this piece. But a civil war of some kind seems very likely.
As a kid, I found it fascinating how this game heavily implied a horrifically brutal war and a complex and un-'nice' history between all the current Good Buddy species, all without ever directly depicting it and doing so in a way where an adult watching their kid play would probably never pick up this info being communicated.
As an adult, I'm confused as to why I can't find evidence of other people picking up on these implications.

Some more midlink kid stuff. I named the little tyke Kori.
I kinda wanna write a cringe fanfic about him n stuff cuz šŸ‘‰šŸ¼šŸ‘ˆ fun ya know? Lots of bs under the cut lol
Some stuff: Kori has a complicated relationship with the people of Ordon. Mostly the adults. I mean their children were kidnapped by unknown creatures, so things they do not understand scares them. Some are a little cruel to Kori, but itā€™s not serious. Kori just knows that he doesnā€™t belong in Ordon, or anywhere really, being half Hylian and half Twili. But at least the people of Ordon are much nicer to him than the Twili.
He gets along with the children of Ordon, tho the children are MUCH older now. Uncle Colin is so much fun to be around, same thing with his aunt. He adores his grandparents with all his heart and soul (as you can see with Rusl lol). Beth is kind enough to him so sheā€™s a great babysitter when Link needs it. Talo is fun too, malo is not but malo hates everyone so itā€™s not personal. Luda is the same for him with Beth. Sheā€™s an absolute sweetheart and he loves hanging out with her in Kakariko, since she and Renado are understanding (and Renado could help Kori if heā€™s sick). And Illiaā€¦ Midna canā€™t be with him all the time, so when she is away, Illia is the maternal figure he needs. He loves Illia very much and she takes great care of him when he needs it. Overall heā€™s happy.

LoZ | Ideas #1
Some time ago, I found a fanfic written by Makuro767 that I found very interesting. It was about Link from Breath of the Wild being reincarnated in the body of Harry Potter.
What was really intriguing was that Link remembered all of his past lives, from the one before Hylia sent the Hylians to Skyloft to the years he spent as Zelda's personal knight before the Calamity struck. However, he couldnā€™t remember Zelda herself.
It was a really cool fanfic ā€”It's a shame itā€™s been on hiatus since 24/09/2022ā€” with a fascinating premise. But it got me thinking! What if someone were to write a fanfic about Link being reincarnated in Percy Jackson's world, just like Makuro767 did with Link being reincarnated in Harry Potter?
Like, Link would be reincarnated as a demigod ā€”or he could simply be reincarnated as Percy, but I honestly didnā€™t like that idea because:
I didnā€™t think being the son of Poseidon fit Link well, and
I like Percabeth and I like Zelink. Since the idea was to do something similar to Makuro767's fic, where Link was in love with Zelda even if he didnā€™t remember her, and she was still in Hyrule fighting against Calamity Ganon and thus couldnā€™t technically be reincarnated into Annabeth, this could be a problem.
So, to solve this, I thought of making him the son of a god or goddess related to the wild, like Artemis, for example.
What do you all think?

Heya! Itā€™s me again! And today Iā€™ve risen from the dead to hand you all some art!! (Tried procreate as I listened to ā€œas the world caves inā€ and this was the result. Anywho)
Warning: Blood, bruises, (talk of death in my ramble), and overall angst!
Tumblr media
So, I made this thing based off a fanfic Iā€™m yet to write. Highly inspired by the fact that technically Revali and Link may have met one last time that being in castle townā€¦ and yes I know Revali was BOOKING it to Vah Medoh butā€¦ just imagineā€¦ (large ramble under the cut. Sorry I am SO ill abt them rn gsgvshd)
ā€¦The two having one last meeting. One last goodbye. Because no matter how much they reassured themselves theyā€™d meet once moreā€¦ they felt deep inside that wouldnā€™t be the case. Revali whispered a desperate plea for Link to run the other way, saying he had already lost enough friends today and just couldnā€™t afford to loose his knight aswell. And Link wished Revali could stay there.. or run with he and Zelda. Because he heard the cries of help from Daruk and Miphaā€¦ he knew something awaited his lovebird at his divine beastā€¦ but unfortunately.. his lovebird just so happened to be the stubbornest Rito in all Hyrule. The two departed, refusing to say goodbyeā€¦ but rather a ā€œweā€™ll meet againā€ .
A few hours laterā€¦ a horribly loud and desperate SOS call was heard.
And a hour or so afterward, the knight succumbed to his wounds.
And even though 100 years laterā€¦ Link and Revali would look upon eachother againā€¦ Link would no longer remember those times he and Revali would sit together as they watched the snow fall or fire crackle. Link would never remember the day he was gifted a paraglider so the two could soar high above together. Link would never remember the playful banter, those quiet yet comforting nights, the way the Rito gazed at him softlyā€¦ the day before the calamity where the Rito champion wove a bracelet representing his love for the Hylian championā€¦
But all he remembered now was a prideful gaze upon that first meeting. And forgot all that followed.
And Revali would soon settle with the factā€¦ even though Hyruleā€™s hero now stood before himā€¦ just as they had said they would.. Linkā€¦ his Link had died that day just as he didā€¦ and being honestā€¦ Revali felt almost as if he had died once more upon that realizationā€¦ because the way his heart felt now felt even worse than it did when Windblight had created that gaping hole in his chest.
ā€¦Anywho so yeah. Even tho Iā€™m not all for pre-calamity revalink letā€™s just say the angst potential of such a thing had me in a chokehold and I NEEDED to make something. Anyways!! Sorry if this is bad I just NEEDED to get this out of my brain. But!!! I hope you guys like this art and ramble. Maybe Iā€™ll make this an actual fanfic later! who knows! But!! I promise Iā€™ll make some revalink fluff next i PROMISE itā€™s just been a VERY emotional summer ok?!? Bsvsvdv. Anywho hope yā€™all like this. Iā€™ll try posting more! Till then, cya!!

Slightly longer Percy Jackson ficlet from the depths of my drafts! In which the Hunters of Artemis are mostly arospec and the author is projecting.
he committed platonic relationships of the Hunters of Artemis. Cuddles. Sleeping together literally. Patching up each other's scrapes and bruises, tending to each other when they're sick. A hunter with horrible period cramps, curled up in her sleeping bag and afraid of appearing weak. Her friends bringing heat pads and ice cream and soft fuzzy blankets, settling in to keep her company. Thalia being empathetic and giving them all the day off to rest. Ā
The hunters seeing their friends at the camps dating and having typical aro reactions - wait people actually do that? Ew, why do people like kissing? I thought the butterflies in your stomach were a metaphor, you people actually feel that? That sounds like a panic attack, honestly. Politely turning down a guy flirting with them, but he doesnā€™t take no for an answer, so he gets an arrow two inches from his hand next time. Groaning about the stupidity of romcoms and how every story thinks it needs a romance arc. Bemoaning a lack of aro protagonists. Not all the hunters are aro, some just choose not to date, but plenty of them are aro or arospec or acespec. Thalia actually does experience attraction semi-normally, so she often translates for the others.Ā
ā€œItā€™s like when they make you nervous and happy at the same time, and you just want to be around them as much as possible.ā€Ā
ā€œThatā€™s weird,ā€ Phoebe insists.Ā Ā
ā€œI didnā€™t say it wasnā€™t.ā€Ā
ā€œDo you miss it?ā€Ā
ā€œSometimes, but I still think joining the Hunt was worth it. I have to admit, it makes life a lot simpler.ā€Ā
ā€œI donā€™t wanna fall in love,ā€ says Izzy. ā€œPeople are dumb when theyā€™re in love.ā€Ā
ā€œDonā€™t worry, kiddo,ā€ Thalia chuckles, ā€œyou donā€™t have to.ā€Ā
ā€œMortals do make terrible decisions for love,ā€ Phoebe agrees. ā€œOur oath protects us from that.ā€Ā
ā€œI never needed an oath to avoid love,ā€ Michelle chimes in. ā€œI think I mightā€™ve been born immune to it.ā€Ā
ā€œSome people are,ā€ Thalia agrees. ā€œMortals have a word for it: aromantic.ā€Ā
ā€œCool. I wanna be aromantic,ā€ Izzy mutters.Ā
Michelle nods. ā€œI think most of us are. Thaliaā€™s the only one here whoā€™s had a crush.ā€Ā
ā€œI fell in love once,ā€ Phoebe says, ā€œbut it was long ago. I donā€™t expect it will happen again. Do mortals have a word for that?ā€Ā
ā€œWell, being aromantic is a spectrum. Maybe youā€™re just on a different part of the spectrum from the rest of us.ā€Ā
ā€œThat is acceptable. It isā€¦ reassuring, to think that my experience is not unique.ā€Ā
ā€œItā€™s nice to have words for it,ā€ Michelle agrees. ā€œI thought for a long time I was just a weirdo.ā€Ā
Thalia snorts. ā€œYou are a weirdo. Just not for that reason.ā€Ā
ā€œHey! Rude!ā€Ā
ā€œYou like broccoli,ā€ Izzy points out seriously. ā€œThatā€™s why youā€™re weird.ā€Ā
ā€œIsabelle is correct. You also tend to fall asleep in trees.ā€Ā
ā€œThat was one time!ā€Ā

im writing a totk sidlink one-shot and i thought i might share it here as well
so we all know yona appearing made things a bit.. complicated. i don't think there's really a way to "fix" the situation simply because i don't believe it can and needs to be fixed, it just changes things for the guys. but that also opened a whole new list of opportunities on what you could do with it and that got me inspired
so i decided to write a short fanfic about Link and Sidon getting stuck together in the depths, having no way out they're forced to talk about everything that's going on and it unveils some things they had both wished would remain hidden. three out of 5 planned chapters are out so far and i'm really proud of it, i'd love it if yall checked it out and told me your thoughts!! <33
here's the summary: While on a mission to retrieve the long lost Zora treasure, an unforeseen twist plunges the Hylian Champion and the Zora Prince into the treacherous depths beneath Zoraā€™s Domain. Trapped in the darkness, they find solace and vulnerability in each otherā€™s company, engaging in a profound conversation that unveils their unspoken desires and hidden affection they had long tried to ignore. (Link talks, set after the Water Temple but before Sidon is crowned King and marries Yona, contains spoilers)
and here's the link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/48069517/chapters/121208365
hope you enjoy!!

Wanna try write something with Mask in it, aka young Link, and just realize that I donā€™t know what his Lu nickname is.
Because Timeā€™s nickname is Old man, given how grumpy and strict he sometimes acts. The other heroā€™s have their jobs (Twi= Rancher/ Ranch hand, Four= Smithy), or a trait (Legend: Collector/ Veteran, Hyrule= Traveler).
Also their nickname donā€™t reveal to much about their adventures, like yes Veteran implies that Legend had many quest but not what their where about or anything. So I donā€™t really know how to name Mask.
Mask collector, but that would clash with Legend. Young one, would be the opposite of Timeā€™s name, but that nickname could be Wind as wellā€¦
In some fanfics the captain calls him Sprite. Fairy boy is was Malon calls him, because thatā€™s the name the hylian call the kokiri.
Are there other nicknames as well? Or headcanonā€™s what they would call Mask that would fit with the other Lu nicknames?

Smile! (Revali x Anya OC) [BOTW]
Tumblr media
Zelda held up the Sheikah Slate, a device that had fascinated everyone with its mysterious capabilities. As she explained that it could capture images, a sense of wonder filled the air, and the group gathered around her.
Anya, always full of excitement, couldn't contain herself. "That's amazing!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with curiosity and awe.
However, before Revali could resist the urge to make a snarky comment, Anya playfully teased him. "Hey, Revali, how about we practice that smile you never get to work out!" She flashed a mischievous grin, knowing all too well how to push his buttons.
Revali, with a hint of annoyance, retorted, "I won't entertain this behavior, it's unbecoming of a Champion. Perhaps some other time? In which I mean, not a chance."
Anya, undeterred by his reserved response, only giggled as Zelda aimed the Sheikah Slate at them. "Smile!" Anya chimed in, her playful spirit unyielding.
Zelda clicked the device, capturing the moment, and Revali quickly pulled away, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Don't ever do that again," he muttered, trying to regain his composure.
Anya shot back with a teasing grin. "We'll see."
The other champions burst into laughter, and Revali, brushing off the playful exchange, couldn't help but crack a small smile, however small and to himself. It was moments like these that brought the group closer together, forging bonds that even Revali was having trouble brushing off.

hello fanfic writer emi-writings šŸ«” in burning iron and honey sweet promises, what is wilbur wearing under his brown cloak/what colours does he often enjoy wearing?
I want to draw ur fic's tntduo if ur wondering where these questions came from :]
Well, unfortunately, for most of the fic Wilbur is a sad beige baby. He literally only wears shades of brown, because his father is paranoid about him getting noticed by the fae. Not going to lie, I just picture Link's Hylian Armor but brown when I am writing him in his usual day to day wear. He does enjoy wearing literal lapis lazuli jewelry.
If he had his choice though, he'd be wearing blue! And it's actually one of the colors that Quackity puts him in whenever he's using glamor to make a scene for them, the other color being purple. There is also the outfit he wore during his ritual.
His ritual out was most based on this dress but with a sheer black cloak and some fantasy inspired jewelry. The outfit that Quackity puts him in for their autumn dance was based on this dress and this crown. His winter attire is more well described, but I can't resist showing off the cloak that inspired it.
Also I am mentally screaming at the idea of Burning Iron art.

So because I am strange and always fascinated by posing cultural questions when it comes to creating crossover fanfiction, I had this wild thought worm recently for no reason: If you dumped Link (Legend of Zelda) into Thedas (Dragon Age), how the fuck would everyone in Thedas react to him?
I mean, depending on how you interpret Link's character, he doesn't talk. At all. I've always been of the opinion he speaks via some form of generalized Sign Language, but Why Would Thedas Share Any Common Signs? And who's to say there IS a formalized sign language in Thedas? Maybe there is, but it's technically a dead language now. The Elvhenan were fucked up but extremely modernized, so maybe they did have a Sign Language. Maybe the Dalish still have a lot of it, because Sign is a great way to silently communicate and Not Alert The Asshole Shemlen.
Either way, Link doesn't talk. And even if he can communicate via Sign Language, I highly doubt Hylian sign is gonna be understood. So there's one issue.
Secondly: Hylians don't look exactly like Theodosian elves. Modern elves of Thedas are scrawny and small but not too small; eyes bigger than a human and with cat-like night vision. Link? Link is canonically 5'2" and quite fit. Not skinny built and quite healthy, generally soft nonbinary features, bright eyes (at least in recent games; Link's got big fucking blues that almost glow for a nice contrast in TotK/BotW), pointy but not super pointy ears. Compared to Theodosian elves which are designed to look "distinctly fantastically different" in comparison to humans, Link just looks like a very short human with elf ears. So people might get a bit baffled at his looks; he's elfy but to the left.
Third: Hyrule isn't anti-magic. Magic is so inherently tied into everything in all the Legend of Zelda games, we the players just accept it. Link can wield magic rods and staves with no issue. Gerudo can use fire magic or summon lightning storms. Link can use magical items to summon winds, or devices that can magically transport him far distances. Rito can summon gales instinctually. Zora have water/ice magic and healing powers. If Link dodges correctly, he can seemingly slow time for a moment to deal a flurry attack. He uses Rauru's arm's magical abilities without blinking. The Master Sword is literally the ultimate magical item with a spirit inside of it.
Can you imagine Link losing his weapon in battle and just picking up a staff without thinking, but WHOOPS Thedas is kinda religiously anti-magic and someone is watching him just SUDDENLY THROWING ICE SPELLS (thinking about those magic staffs in BotW/TotK with the default AoE ice spell) without any hesitation? That is Not Normal for them like it is for Link. And Link himself like... Serves a powerful princess with the bloodline of a goddess. She literally tosses around light magic and time magic and shit. He probably can't begin to fathom a society that shuns something that so integral to Hyrule/Hyrule's safety in the face of Ganondorf's machinations.
Idk this was a bizarre thought worm I had. Maybe I will write a fanfic. Maybe I won't. It's interesting to think about in an extremely nerdy way, lol.
(also Link would HATE Solas but LOVE The Iron Bull and The Chargers. Prove me wrong, I dare you.)
