yo, if your still doing game of chance, what are the challenges like? like,,,any specific challenges that are particularly gorey? 👀

I tried my best to explain some particularly COMMON challenges, but I think I should probably say the more GOREY ones then!!

Pitfall: Contestants are moved onto an enclosed minefield that has hidden spike pits AND mines on it. Whoever survives moves on. If there are too many that survive, they'll play a mini-challenge where Corvid [and a few guards] attempt to cut it down to the amount they need by shooting them. The contestants have to run around or hide to avoid getting shot, which can result in more pit and mine casualties.

Final Corkscrew and Claw Your Way Out were already explained in the post about.. everything.

Intrepid: Contestants vote on a number from 1-10, 1 being lowest difficulty and 10 being highest. This will determine how tough the challenge is. The higher the difficulty, the less people who get out alive, and so there's less challenges they'll have to do overall. 1-# are all different versions of the games they did before, but 10 will always be this horrible game. ⅔s of the contestants will be tied up, with 1 non-tied contestant being put with 2 tied ones. The goal is for the non-tied contestants to cut open the bodies of the two contestants and sift around for a key. Only one of them has a key inside them, just to make it worse if you pick the wrong one.

I'll be rolling with both Realm of Mirrors and The Garden of Corpses for this one

💯 [100] How many words does your WIP currently have? How many words do you hope it'll have when it's done ?

RoM is sitting at a steady 7000 and TGoC at 2000, and the ideal for each is that they’ll have around 80.000 words per book

🎀 [Bow] How many named characters are in this WIP? How many do get a POV ?

According to my docs, RoM has 19 named characters, though three of them I have forgotten what they do lmao. The pov will stick to the main characters.

The Garden of Corpses currently has 14 named characters, but I aim to create more to make the schools feel more alive. The pov changed between the main five characters, however I might add in a few scenes from the villains pov’s. 

💖 [Heart] What is your favorite moment in this WIP ?

I have yet to write it (Because I have yet to fully figure out the finer details like logistics) but there’s a scene where Jake realizes that the concert hall of Grimmvik’s castle is actually a courtroom. Or more accurately, it used to be a courtroom before being remodeled. This is the first real WTF because the story is that Grimmvik’s founders praised science and the arts, and that the concert hall had always been there since the castle was first built. But if that’s not true then everything falls into question, the main one being why the fuck would the founders need such a massive courtroom in their castle ??

I don’t really have a specific moment in mind but overall, as fucked up as it may sound, I’m really excited for all the cannibalism in TGoC. Both the actual cannibalism, but also the symbolism of it. Both in terms of the story and the worldbuilding. I’ve toyed a bit with the first time it happens and it’s really fun !

🌈 [Rainbow] If at the beginning of your WIP the characters knew about the end, would they kill you to stop you from writing it ?

Oh yes, Ida would hunt me for sport lmao

On the other hand, I think the Liegården kidz would be really excited. Kinda like the end goal outweighs the trauma

While I don’t think I’d get cancelled for it per se, I do think people on Twitter would miss the part where RoM is a tragedy and so throw hissy fits over how the story plays out

Because of that I also feel like poor queer rep would be one big thing, since us queers can’t exist in tragedies that aren’t about our identities I guess

And for the same reason, poor poc rep. Which I feel would result in me being accused of racism, so that’s gonna be fun

The Garden of Corpses

Glorification and promotion of cannibalism. 

Poor queer and poc rep, since the main ones engage in cannibalism and other “not good” things, like murder, and thus reflect poorly on the communities

Religious people would also chew it out for being blasphemy

I also feel like somebody’s going to throw a fit about how the characters are kids and therefore I must be either promoting child abuse, sexualizing minors, or both

I've been getting whiplash going from The Divine to TGoC; I figured out how to transition from the Eclipse arc to the Gems of the Crowns Arc, changed Freddie's name to Isak, established the death order of the Lumens, nailed down the plot for the first two TGoC books, adjusted the solo attacks for the champion forms, discovered that Nils' love languages are physical touch and quality time.

Yeah we've been on a roll !

As for real life my dad is taking me to Ikea to buy a shelf next week :>
