As much as I like the concept of FMDF, it's hard for me to accept and fully appreciate the premise of Hestia's revenge plot because yes the main couple of the novel did wrong Cael, and Diana can be annoying, but both of them, or Helios at the very least, doesn't deserve the kind of rage that Hestia directs towards them/him.

I don't feel like her revenge is warranted??? Which is a shame because I think hestia x cael is really cute

pros:

ZORO'S ENTIRE INTRO SEQUENCE AHHHHHHHH

I love love love that they introed Baroque Works so early on in ZORO'S INTRO because iirc we were never shown how zoro was contacted by them earlier but it was just said that he was, and this was a damn good way of linking up w them later on

Shanks' character design is actually not that bad HAHAHAHA i was expecting worse from the trailer

Buggy and his crew dude whose name I cannot remember FUCKING SLAYEDDDDD

also the wanted pictures flashing in front of the pirates are so cool

BINKS SAKE WAS PLAYED

Helmeppo was pretty well done too

Also I just couldn't take the fight against Morgan seriously because, seriously. omg it's embarrassing that he's seen as a threat.

Idk how I feel about the execution scene but I did watch it in english and then in japanese and yaknow the latter just hits different

err also they changed up zoro's recruitment. idk. hmmm.

I think by itself, the show's pretty decent and all these little changes might make more sense in this new world. But it's abit hard not to compare it to the original op, especially because I've always been a huge fan of zoro's recruitment. It fits with their original dynamics, but maybe here, their dynamics are different as well so I'm gonna have to change the way I watch this show now. It's a new world, with new characters and new backstories.

Overall, solid work for a live action.

Not looking for any spoilers but it would be nice if he guest appeared in the later seasons for some closure.
