Ed Darlas stared out over the silent dunes. Today, he would get revenge. It might be 20 years too late but revenge was, after all, a dish best served cold. Or, at least, unexpectedly.

The crunch of sand behind him made turn, the moon glinting off his dark hair.

"Sir?"

Ed hummed and turned back to the dunes. The sky was getting lighter, the moon and stars disappearing.

Sam nervously fiddled with his sleeve, his eyes straying to the shadowy figure he called captain.

"What's the plan, sir?"

Ed's smile glinted in the early morning haze.

"Don't ya worry about that, boy. I'll tell y'all when the time's right."

He suddenly turned and looked Sam right in the eye. Sam was vaguely aware that they were the same brown as the sandy dunes.

"Tell the rest o' the crew to get the horses ready. We ride at dawn."

Sam nodded and walked away, leaving Ed standing on the cliff edge. The captain gave one last look at the horizon. The sun was shyly peeking out above the dune line, painting the sky blood red. He smiled. Today would be the day he would finally get revenge on Malcolm Reynolds.

Apparently the local university’s undergraduate entomology course sends students to catch insect specimens at the same place I like to go birdwatching, which explains why I saw three enormous frat looking dudes with tiny bug nets and overheard one emphatically say “bro BRO I told you we already have enough lepidopterans”

If you've ever told a person who's had to be bedbound for a period of time that you wish you could "just stay in bed", DO IT.

Stay in bed. For days. But don't get up if someone needs you to, or you get bored, or you get antsy. Don't do anything other than rest. Just lie in your bed, whether you need to get stuff done around the house or socialize or anything else "productive". You'll have to cancel on people, you'll disappoint them, they won't understand.

And if you're thinking, "well, i CAN'T just be in bed. There's stuff that has to be done - I have plans", maybe ask yourself why you assumed a disabled person doesn't have plans or things to do or desires.

If I didn't have commissions to work on, I swear I'd be drawing nothing but these two all day. I'd have a fucking graphic novella by now dksjhjskgh

But these are some doodles I've done while slacking off. I really hope you like them, I've honestly been excited to throw my stuff into the tumblr billford pile (seriously, there are SO many of you making artwork, and you're all so talented?? It's wild. It's like christmas every day.)
