Carol:

Circe definitely doesnt mind Carol, and considers her a friend. She probably helped him at some point with something he was struggling with academically and he appreciated that!

Devona, on the other hand, probably doesn’t have a great relationship with Carol, since she hates not being taken seriously and Devona takes nothing seriously.

Leroy:

Sybil probably hated Leroy when she first met him because she despises when people are clearly trying to be different than who they actually are, but I’m sure once she got to know him a bit, she wouldn’t mind him as much since they both share an interest in manga and also machines and technology!

sturgis wasn’t always the solid guy he is now – but if he’s anything, he’s the poster boy of making something out of yourself, and making the people around you proud 

he grew up in derby, with plenty of other young punks in the making

everyone loves to fight and drink and have a good time, and sturgis was no exception. he just grew up, and grew out of it, while the people around him .... did not, mostly.

and that was sad to see, but, truthfully, as the years went on, sturgis saw less and less of his derby friends anyways, because his years at hogwarts were, surprisingly, giving him something to work for.

it wasn’t as though his going to hogwarts had ever been a surprise, however, sturgis didn’t start out as the most dedicated student. he liked to fight and fuck around, and he liked to have a good time

but as the years began to demand more of him, he chose to give more, signing up for electives at random (for a laugh) and then finding that he actually enjoyed some of the subjects. 

actually he found out that when he was paying attention he liked most of it, (well as much as you could really like school without being a total nerd, right) and he was good at it, when he applied himself – he liked that, too, naturally.

at no point, however, in any of his scraps, had sturgis ever been in a fight because he was picking on someone. no, he might have spent a few years as a screw up, but he was no bully, and a lot of the fights he started were on the behalf of his friends, and occasionally, random lower years.

he’s never had a problem whooping ass in the name of justice

so when he found out that there were a few careers he could actually enjoy, careers that involved whooping ass in the name of justice, no less ..... you could say he was pretty stoked.

but he was also determined, and he worked harder than ever, and he’s never really stopped.

he went from hogwarts (gryffindor, hells yea) to training, and then straight to work the first moment they let him.

he’s been hard at work ever since, both in the ministry and as an agent of the order

well, lately he has not been hard at work, and it is a real problem for him.

the worse problem: he can’t even tell the truth about why he had to have his knee replaced, because it wasn’t during a work fuck up – sturgis doesn’t make those, he prides himself on being an exemplary auror  who does everything perfectly by the book (to the point of it being extremely annoying) and he’s actually insulted people bought the story.

supposedly, sturgis didn’t “follow protocol” and wait for his back up to arrive, and, because he wasn’t “following protocol” didn’t do his checks properly, and therefore missed an entire human being behind a door, who got the jump on him and obliterated his knee cap, leaving sturgis down, and the two free to escape

really, it was a mission for the order, and things got hairy. someone was lucky enough to land a slop shot, and sturgis was unlucky enough to be in its’ path.

he’s an idiot

and trapped at his desk

but not forever, just for 4 more weeks

and then it’s right back to what he does best, because sturgis doesn’t know how to quit, and he doesn’t know when enough is enough.

he will always come back for more, and he’s always going to stand up for the little guy.

it’s very important to sturgis that people so what’s right. he knows it isn’t always easy, but it’s always the easier choice.the problem is (not for sturgis, for everyone else) he doesn’t offer people a lot of slack, usually, on what is and isn’t okay.

he doesn’t skirt steps, or protocol; he doesn’t skip hard conversations; he always pulls his weight, and he doesn’t believe, at all, that death is an acceptable form of justice.

he understands that sometimes, it’s necessary, but wherever possible, he truly believes that if you don’t have to live through it, you’re just getting off, whether you actually care or learn anything from your time in prison or not.

he’s fighting a war for peace, he’s fighting for the little guy, always. he doesn’t want to kill for vengeance.

but he’s also an idiot

alyona kuznetsova came to england to have fun, a girl just out of dumstrang she wasn’t ready to take a child with her back to russia, not full time. but the child’s father was only too happy to add her to the every growing brood that cluttered up the shop he owned

to the child, nothing about her very peculiar upbringing seemed strange to her. surely everyone had dark artefacts that could kill you if you touched them just lying about the place? surely everyone had a mother that would show up and whisk you off to russia for months at a time? and surely every parent would nod and go along with it when their child starts growing out their hair and being asked to be called kseniya jade

a favourite of the dark street she and her siblings called home, her precocious and talkative nature made her a perfect courier between shopfronts and closes, especially for matters slightly less than legal

at some point alyona stops taking her on trips, there’s a husband back home in russia, it’s best to leave her wild past in england. but kseniya keeps speaking her mother’s tongue; a tiny child sat on a counter translating transactions when others would be reading tales of beedle the bard, and teaching it to the sister she idolised. what she once shared with her mother she would now share with jasmine

there are other siblings, almost too many to count but for ksenyia it’s always jasmine before the others. jasmine who was there to patch up her cuts and scrapes, to stroke her hair when the night felt oh so dark, to love her like the mother only sporadically was.

off to school and she doesn’t feel like the strange one, no it’s the other children who are strange. those who’s parents are almost like enemies to them. those who hadn’t been raised with magic. those who heard her talk of the dark lord and looked at her funny. and those that told her that she really shouldn’t talk about that over breakfast. so she stuck close to her housemates, to her siblings, to those who didn’t see her as some oddity. the lanky blonde girl who spoke too much of death

her relationship with her father isn’t exactly warm but to say it’s cold would be entirely incorrect. it’s a lot more transactional, he housed and clothed and fed her, and she had siblings to entertain her, but most of the actual affection she gets from her father comes when she’s in someway useful to him. when she runs a message, helps translate a transaction. and kseniya genuinely doesn’t mind it; he’s a busy man and she’s happy to help.

alyona is not a real person to kseniya but an idol, the mysterious half veela mother who turns up when in suits her, and not when it suits kseniya. and yet she can’t hate her for it. kseniya sees only her poise and sophistication and wants it for herself.

young, eager, and entirely unproven kseniya has newly joined the death eaters and is desperate to prove herself a loyal soldier, just like her older sister. she wants power, but more than that she wants to be accepted by the society that has treated her family as a service nothing more. to be loved, not for what she provided, for her beauty or for being an oddity but just for being herself.

She startles a bit and her head snaps up. She’s not expecting a knock at her front door this morning. It’s early yet and she’s still enjoying a cuppa and bite of toast as she watches the frost gently melt away from her kitchen window. The sun is bright and she thinks that if she wears her warmest coat, pulls on her thickest gloves, and wraps her best scarf around her neck and chest, that just perhaps it will be warm enough this February morning that she may walk over to Yew Tree Farm and visit with Mrs. Mason. She’s tired of being cooped up in the cottage. The winter’s been a cold and dreary one.

Elsie swallows down one last fortifying drop of tea and puts down her cup beside her plate and drops the last scrap of the bacon rasher she’s been nibbling on to the floor where the scruffy wire hair terrier that followed Charles home two springs ago laps it up. She reaches down and scratches the mut between his ears and thinks for the thousandth time that she never would have thought her husband would have brought strays home and yet they’ve had three of them over the course of their marriage. Lad may not be to the manor born, but he’s a good dog and keeps her company.

She’ll do the washing up after her visitor leaves. She has plenty of time for that sort of thing now. There is another knock at the door and it isn’t insistent; it isn’t rude or demanding. Whomever is on the other side probably thinks she hasn’t heard the first attempt to summon her is all. Elsie sighs and wonders who could be out on such a morning. It isn’t time for the papers to be delivered and she hasn’t ordered any milk or eggs for today.

As she passes from the kitchen through the sitting room on her way to the door, she catches a glimpse of herself in the glass. She touches a hand to her hair and smoothes it across the mostly white strands; a few threads of brown stubbornly hang on, but she wonders for how much longer. She’s never been a terribly vain woman, but she still keeps herself up. Even though her hips have filled out and her shoulders have rounded. She looks more a grandmother now than the housekeeper. Funny the irony of it. She isn’t Granny to anyone; she has no grandchild to cuddle. She hasn’t been Mrs. Hughes in nearly two decades; she hasn’t a house with staff to command. She is simply Mrs. Carson and it’s the simplicity of that title suits her best.

It’s only when she opens the door and the cold comes rushing in that she realizes she is still in her dressing gown, and she instinctively wraps her free arm around herself. But this man, the one who is standing before her so early this morning will not mind if she is still in her dressing gown and slippers because he’s seen her like this many times before in the middle of the night when there was a crisis. When William and Mr. Matthew had gone missing, when flu had overtaken the house, when poor Lady Sybil had died so suddenly, and when Lady Edith set fire to her bedroom that awful night.

“I hope that I didn’t wake you.”

“No. Old habits,” she responds fondly. “It is freezing. You’ll your catch death. Come in.”

Description: Sybil is a curious, introverted member of Ignihyde. While most people don’t know much about her, she leads a far different life online as a member of a deep web hacking group called 0racle. As a part of 0racle and one of its founders, she devotes herself to solving internet mysteries through hacking and digging through endless pages of content. Outside of 0racle, and back in reality, Sybil is known mostly for being rarely seen outside of class (it’s rumored that some Ignihyde students have a “Sybil Sighting” board somewhere in the dorm). The only sign that she’s still at NRC is the furious keyboard typing that can be faintly heard from her room and the occasional sound of a synthesizer - but that usually ends with a loud slam and the typing resumes shortly thereafter.

Flaws: Easily frustrated, doesn’t like to step out of their comfort zone, quick temper and highly confrontational when angry.

Backstory (???): Sybil was born into a semi-stable family, however her parents divorced a few years after her birth and Sybil lived with her mother for the rest of her childhood, while her father moved far away. Her mother raised Sybil well and from an early age, taught Sybil to be curious about the world around her. As Sybil grew older, she became fascinated with mysteries and would try to solve any she could find. Eventually this led to Sybil discovering the vast amount of mysteries and lost content on the internet. Sybil slowly went down rabbit-hole after rabbit-hole in order to solve these, but most leading to a dead end. To get further in her amateur sleuthing, she started to learn the art of hacking in order to access more parts of the internet. She found a few friends online with similar interests, and they formed a group that would later be called 0racle. This group focused primarily on solving complex and strange mysteries, although in recent years they’ve strayed a bit from their original intentions, hacking into various databases and large websites, hoping to gain some attention. During Sybil’s childhood and early teen years, she was the center of quite a bit of bullying from other children in her hometown. This continually harassment made it hard for Sybil to make friends outside of the computer, and they hoped that by going to NRC, she would be able to escape these people. So far, Sybil’s years at NRC have been interesting and she’s learned many valuable things, although recently they’d rather stay in their room than go to class.

She’s a part of a deep web hacking group called 0racle and goes by the username the_eye_of_thesorceress, however she doesn’t like to talk about it to other people, but most of Ignihyde knows of her ability to debug and hack various devices and they’ll ask her for help occasionally. when it comes to life at nrc, academically, Sybil is excellent at magic-based classes but not great at other subjects (gym), and tries to avoid most people (although she has a resting pissed-off face so it might be the other way around lmao). she would like some friends though, just doesn’t know how to interact with people, and I’m certain that Enya and her would be besties!!

okay so I’m just gonna say it now, Sybil definitely has a crush on Artemis. never mind the fact that Sybil can’t stand Savanaclaw people, she saw Artemis and was head over heels. Now, this being said, has Sybil said anything to Artemis? Probably not, she’s too intimidated. I do imagine that one scenario from movies where Sybil dropped something and Artemis picked it up and was like “Hey, you dropped this” (but with rizz ofc bc Artemis is the queen of rizz) and Sybil was promptly speechless and her face probably turned bright cherry red.

I think that Artemis and Delta (yes I’m bringing out the ocs I haven’t posted on tumblr yet but you know them so anyways) would be excellent friends as well. They’re both in Savanaclaw and have similar personalities. I can imagine Artemis braiding Delta’s hair on occasion and Delta attempting to teach Artemis how to fence with a sword.
