I’m asking this here because I don’t really know where else to— do you have any good recommendations for Palestinian bloggers here who are for peace, and also not antisemitic? I’ve seen that a lot of the big ones have some stuff that goes from iffy to horrible and I just cannot engage with it in a way that is not emotional self-harm. This site hates Israeli-Palestinian solidarity, but I know there are so many of us that just want to live together in peace, and I think we all really need that energy right now

I am sure there is. From the supportive anons my mutual and I have been getting to some common sense (they exist in real life, surely they are in tumblr as well), it is only reasonable.

but here is a very sad truth, I cannot name a single one. The truth is anon, that I am a bit of a coward. I am honestly terrified from looking through the tags on the wider tumblr due to the amount of nasty shit thee is. I just home to stumble upon them on my dash. I have even refrained from checking pro Palestinian tags and reblogging posts about the suffering of Palestinians that are not from mutuals to avoid interacting with people who call for making me a refugee or calling for my death.

I am sure I missed people BTW, that I was so afraid from another disappointment that I never bothered checking more.

So I am sad to say, that despite knowing several Muslims, I do not have any recommendation for Palestinian blogs. For solidarity, I go to outside of the internet.

If any Palestinian blog stumble upon this, and you are a supporter of a peace solution that doesn't erase any of us, and would like some Israeli Mutuals, feel free to make contact.

Honestly, I consider my self "pro-israel" but still very critical about Bibis goverment, specially since fuckers like Gvir ad Smorvtich are in charge. I think that with Hamas finally gone and this fuckers either jailed for good or gone since they are actually hated by the Israeli population rn (The only reason they havent kicked them to kingdom come is because its the middle of a war) a good faith peace plan for both sides can be established with a third party of trust.

This being said, why the fuck do people root for Hamas? Ive seen this so called progressive even calling them 'resistance'. These fuckers are the main cause that palestinians are in the situation they are in. They use all the money they get from aid to try to attack israel, use their own population as shields because they dont care about them and indoctrictnated them to hate since children. Do they really want to leave them opressing Gazans like nothing happened after oct 7th? Because Ive havent seen any goverment willing to do this dirty work because, sadly, Hamas wont reliquinsh their "power" peacefully.

Honestly, in a past I considered my self pro-palestinian and pro-israel, at least publicly, but these loud minority of Hamasinks seemed to have hijacked a movement that started with good intentions. But sadly it appears that this minority is becoming the majority.

Is there anything that can be done to revert this? To alianeate these extremist from the reasonable voices?

So re: why do people support Hamas. I'm assuming you're referring to the Pro-Pal Left that has reared its head since October 7th. Honestly I think it comes down to the privilege that almost everyone in the Imperial Core has: Freedom from War. These folks learned about War Crimes in highschool or whatever, never bothered to learn what they actually were and the how and why of their drafting, and now they hear about Israel bombing hospitals and they can't imagine any possible scenario where that could be justified. To these folks War is two armies marching at each other in block formations in an open field. And perhaps their only conception of Urban War is the civilian-less and consequence-free set pieces of modern warfare shooters. And it shows! I've seen people praising the Mujahideen in Gaza as brave and noble heroes for slapping the side of a Merkavah with a tandem charge RPG all while ignoring the fact that the person firing the RPG isn't wearing any sort of distinguishable uniform and are therefore committing the crime of perfidy. And it drives me insane because perfidy is such a fucking poisonous thing to do. Any action which erodes a belligerents ability to read actions in good faith is horrific, and actions like that are exactly what Hamas' strategy and tactics are based on and around. To break it down for the pissing on the poor crowd: 1: Hamas plans operation and bases soldiers in hospital 2: Israel bombs that hospital, whichever officer in charge has made the hard decision that the number of military casualties is worth the number of civilian collateral casualties, as well as damage to the hospital infrastructure. (THIS IS LEGAL AND NOT A WAR CRIME) 3: Hamas makes up death count and has their media corps play corpse jenga 4: useful idiots in the Imperial Core see that Israel bombed a hospital (no possible reason for doing that other than killing innocents!) and the 3000 years of antisemitism thats hardcoded into their brains kicks in and all the blood libel floods out. As for alienating the extremists from the moderates. I have no idea. Frankly I could care less about what Johnny Jihad or his leftist brownshirts care about Palestine or Israel or Jews or Palestinians. I give far more of a fuck in making the world a better place where I can. And that takes many forms. Including skipping out on my draft service because I didn't want to risk being a part of the apparatus that does in fact contribute to the oppression of Palestinians. What have any of these "Pro-Palestine" leftists ever done for the Palestinian cause that comes anywhere near that level of direct action?

DF clears for publication that Master sergeant (res.) Zechariah Pesach Haber and Sergeant major (res.) Yair Katz fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Two reservists seriously injured.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit cleared for publication on Wednesday morning the names of two soldiers who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip and whose families have been notified.

Zechariah Pesach Haber and Yair Katz

Master sergeant (res.) Zechariah Pesach Haber, 32, from Jerusalem, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant major (res.) Yair Katz, 34, from Holon, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

In addition, a reservist in the 52nd Battalion was seriously injured in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Also, a reservist medic was seriously injured in the Gaza border region.

On Tuesday evening, Kibbutz Be'eri announced the deaths of Itay Svirsky and Yossi Sharabi, two men who were kidnapped from the Kibbutz during the massacre of October 7 and who had been held hostage in Gaza for about three months.

On Sunday evening, Hamas released a video on the 100-day anniversary of the October 7 massacre featuring Svirsky, Sharabi, and a third hostage, Noa Argamani.

Hamas terrorists claimed that they would publish information regarding the fate of the three hostages seen in the video on Monday. When the second video was released on Monday evening, Hamas claimed that Svirsky and Sharabi were killed in an Israeli air strike. The IDF denied the allegation.

Just found that picture of the girl "With legs blown to ribbons" that people keep talking about RE: Rafah and the Superbowl conspiracy. And I have one question. People are claiming that this girl was thrown onto a wall from the blastwave of the bomb that (presumably) took off her legs too. If that's the case, how the fuck is she being held up by a single piece of bent rebar that doesn't appear to be piercing her shirt? Are Gazan clothes made out of spider silk or unobtanium? To be clear, the death of this girl is a tragedy. But I have a sneaking suspicion that her body was posed like that for shock value. (As one poster I saw put it "They left her like fresh meat on a butcher's hook!" and if you can't see the antisemitism in that. Well, maybe read a book.) Like I feel crazy here, but you're telling me the bomb had enough force to take off her fucking legs, but when it threw her against the wall and rebar, it just *perfectly* caught her by the edge of the shirt?
