Build yourself a sustainable routine for 2024
you donāt have to schedule all your habits for everyday. Some habits can be for twice a week or thrice a week. If you canāt read 10 pages everyday, donāt fret. Try to read 1 chapter a week. Then slowly progress to 2.
do not be intimidated by accounts like mine. I post a lot of tips but I follow only the ones I know work for me, even if those tips are great. I share a lot so that different people can make use of them. Just because tip A works better for me than tip B, doesnāt mean that tip B is useless. Someone else could find B more useful than A.
How do you know youāre building a sustainable routine?
here are some indicators:
āļø the habits are āportableā for the most part - you do not need to be in specific places to execute them (you can read anywhere, you can workout in any hotel, etc).
āļø youāre able to follow all your habits at least 80% of the time in a month. Which means out of 30 days, for 24 days you are able to follow your habits. āļø they donāt stress you out. It doesnāt make sense to procrastinate over your habits. The point of the habits is to reduce procrastination and improve yourself. If youāre stressing over it, go back to square one and start small.
āļø you are able to see that youāre improving. Maybe youāre feeling more confident, self assured and resilient. Whatever your end goal, it is important to understand that you wonāt go from being, for example, under confident to confident overnight. It will happen gradually. Noticing your progress and complimenting yourself for the gradual change is important because then youāre validating yourself for the healthy changes you make. When you validate yourself as opposed to someone else validating you, you are acknowledging the hard work you have put in- this increases your motivation to do even better and to stay disciplined.
āļø over time, the habits come to you naturally. Letās say meditating. You become so used to meditating that not doing it is like not brushing your teeth in the morning. It becomes a part of you and you accept and embrace it instead of dreading it.
āļø yes, you will have tough days. You will have days where you want to give up. It is important to schedule at least 2 mental health days a month for yourself where you can choose to do absolutely nothing and just relax. You are human, not a machine. Sometimes you need to push through those tough days and get things done anyway. There is a balance between resting and working hard.
āļø you eventually do not feel guilt or shame for prioritising yourself and your routine first. This is the most important indicator. You do not put any boy, friend, anyone (unless itās an emergency of course) above you. You know you are your most important person.

#personal#I make a fancy cold brew drink every morning#partially bc I wanted to save money#also bc Dunkin is just terrible here#and like the routine or perhaps even ritual#of mixing my fancy (store bought) cold brew#with my fave coffee creamer and cold foam#and using the special metal rainbow iced tea spoons to stir it#and using a metal cocktail straw to sip it out of my mason jar#itās like ah yes I am the queen of self care AND sustainability

wonāt comment this on the same post because itās probably not what they want to hear rn but i know that some people HAVE ācuredā their CFS, or rather have been able to manage it and return to moderate activity levels, by essentially āgradually building stamina.ā but the approach and mentality behind the pacing approach is SOOO different than what the average person assumes āgradually building staminaā must look like, and always errs on the side of MINIMUM activity because of the seriousness of PEM. like it sucks to have the 3 mile walks you were once accustomed to suddenly make you bedridden the next day. thatās why pacing would mean, for a very long period of time, going onā¦ a five minute walk, if thatās where youāre at. a one minute walk around your living space a few times a day. or ten seconds of standing, if completely bedridden. but if youāre not bedridden and are doing things around the house, even just if sitting up to work at a computer, pacing ALSO means laying down flat and having a full body rest multiple times a day, scheduled throughout the day. it means not just allowing rest, but ENFORCING it. the barrier to people with CFS slowly building their stamina back up is usually this idea that part of that endeavor involves willpower, that if you can just will it hard enough, try harder, the CFS will go away. how could you possibly need MORE rest when youāre doing nothihg? when this mentality is the opposite of what CFS needs. people whoāve successfully gotten their old lives ābackā after CFS have done it by respecting PEM, erring on the side of caution, being so gentle with themselves and careful not to send themselves into a flare-up.
#i donāt have a CFS diagnosis#but dealing rn for a very long time with mystery chronic pain and fatigue#of which PEM is an aspect#and which has responded to pacing#i know what itās like for the walks you once enjoyed and which once gave you energy#to suddenly be The Activity that day#and potentially make you insanely fatigued the next day#like since starting college again#i structure my entire day around MINIMIZING the amount of activity i do#even if it means more limited food options in my area of campus#even if itās a nice day and i want to go on an actual hike! i know the next day iāll be completely bedridden and in immense pain#even if the PT is telling me how badly i need to build muscle and strengthen my joints#i KNOW but itās just impossible to sustain any kind of exercise routine that would accomplish anything more than#maintaining my current levels of strength and mobility#but itās actually not truly impossible#but ratherāi cannot have the exercise routine of an unfit but otherwise healthy adult trying to get back into shape#itās the suuuuper low impact unweighted strength exercises#that actually help me#but also with all of my workload and just the burden on my body of walking to get around campus#i struggle with consistency#and have had so many flare ups#that if i didnāt give myself grace to not be pushing and pushing to make strength gains#then iād truly fall apart

Being unemployed and out of school in your early 20s is so weird. like I'm free I'm trapped time isn't real but neither is bedtime I'm making food from scratch I'm sweating over the price of groceries I'm entirely outside the rhythm of humanity while only now starting to see how it works. I'm living I'm dying I'm holding together my mental health with duct tape and one nice thing a person said to me 5 months ago I am running out of shredded cheese. yknow?

10 Easy Ways to Lose Weight Naturally
1) Every day after waking up in the morning, eat one tomato on an empty stomach.
2) Mix 3 tsp lemon juice, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder and 1 tsp honey and drink it with a glass of water every morning. Do this continuously for 3 months, you will feel the change in your figure.
3) Even drinking a glass of carrot juice daily does not increase obesity.
4) Cut a lot of cabbage and mix it in the salad. Even this will keep you slim. Cabbage is easily digested. Also, eating it gives a feeling of being full for a long time.

7) Include fruits like jackfruit, grapes, papaya, pineapple, apple, French beans, figs, peach, guava etc. in your diet. They are helpful in reducing weight.
8) Green tea also helps in reducing obesity.
9) Fasting once a week is also a good option. Take only liquid things on this day, it will remove toxins and extra fat from the body.
10) Avoid consuming too much salt, it leads to weight gain.

finally homeeeee oh god. week 2 of law school done and it's hitting like an 18 wheeler. the thing they dont tell u about going 2 school for reading and discussing the faults of society is that when u finally get a break from reading and discussing the faults of society ur brain refuses to use any horsepower even remotely related to reading or the faults of society so u simply. wolfstar is an absolute cringefest. they r so bland together and have zero chemistry. james always seemed straight to me and sirius as aroace. but if they were to be in a relationship with guys, i canāt see them choosing anyone but each other. these guys had the spark , the chemistry even as friends.

genuinely, when will it end??? I am so tired of being here and I am not sure how much longer I can push myself to keep going. iām exhausted.
#itās 4am and I am feeling the Deep Darkies#I literally passed out at 9pm from mental exhaustion & also bc I wanted to start to get up early to start a morning routine#so I actually got a ton of sleep but the second I woke up I felt like I wanted to cry and now I feel so depressed out of no where#like girl WHYYYY#genuinely I am so debilitatingly depressed I have suicidal thoughts every single day#and I feel like ive tried everything to help myself like ive been to therapy ive been on and off meds for over a decade at this point#im starting to eat better and sleep more#like what the duck else do I do?#I genuinely feel like my brain is broken#I just want to cry and lay in bed every single day#like I cannot articulate the profound sadness into words but itās. so bad#and it takes literally all my brain power to do one assignment a day for class like none of this is sustainable#and I just feel so much shame over it bc whenever I tell my mom she gets mad like it effects her or something and the few times ive made th#mistake of trying to confide in my dad he gave me the whole pull yourself up by the bootstraps talk so never again lol#my entire family has made me feel so much shame over it and none of my friends here even bother to ask how I feel and donāt make me feel#comfortable enough to talk to bc iām always the fucking therapist friend helping everyone else#hence why I always vent on here lol I have no one to talk to#I just really donāt know what to do at this point like I feel like I need inpatient therapy at this point but thatās expensive and I donāt#want to tell my job why iād need extended time off bc that would be so embarrassing and plus now iām in school#so like what do I do#im tired of feeling like this I know this isnāt how life is supposed to be but itās also all ive ever known#and whatās the point of living if iām going to feel like this everyday? My lab is organizing a writing accountability thing where we all put reasonable weekly writing goals in this spreadsheet/keep track of the days we write/etc. and itās like cool! Bold of you to assume my academic writing occurs in regular small doses instead of intense 4-8 hour sessions when the stars align and I wake up at 4 AM in an inspired mania! āTry something small like 100 wordsā maāam itās either 0 words ever or 10k in <10 hours you arenāt getting 100 words everyday thatās impossible.

Greetings, fellow readers and activists! Today I want to briefly discuss the benefits of adopting a sustainable strategy for maintaining our health. This is beneficial for the environment as well as for our personal health. I have personal experience of how adopting sustainable practices and healthy habits will enhance our physical and mental well-being while also lowering our carbon impact. We have a chance to create real change by eating a plant-based diet, choosing mindful habits, incorporating eco-practices like bicycling instead of driving and using reusable products. Join on this journey as we explore how sustainability and wellness go hand in hand to create an Earth and improve our quality of life.
We have the power to make a difference in both our own health and the environment by supporting the consumption of plant-based meals and promoting sustainable lifestyle practices. So many studies have demonstrated that a poor diet can significantly increase the risk of developing respiratory illnesses, cardiac issues and also cancer when combined with environmental issues like air pollution and water contamination. As a result it is crucial to have access to clean water, sufficient sanitation accessbility and healthcare services in order to keep our overall health good. Furthermore, by including sustainable practices into our exercise routines like choosing environmentally friendly workout attire or considering alternatives to driving which can be walking or bicycling, we not only encourage physical fitness but also actively minimise harmful gases released into the environment. My own personal experience has shown significant changes when using mindfulness methods like meditation to reduce stress levels and establishing sustainable practices in everyday life choices. Feeling less fatigue and improved overall mental and physical health were the results of higher energy levels gained by switching to plant-based eating habits combined with sustainable decisions. By putting a healthy lifestyle first, we can achieve happiness, productivity and also contribute to a healthier planet.
This is the real fantastic news. We can reduce these worries while also enhancing our general wellbeing by following a clear health routine. By choosing to walk or bike instead of use a car, we are reducing the harmful emissions that contribute to air pollution which is a significant cause of the wide range of health problems listed earlier. Air pollution, water contamination and other environmental issues are very closely linked to respiratory illnesses, heart illnesses and also cancer. Global health is significantly impacted by the effects of climate change, which increases disease transmission, air pollution and make it more difficult to get clean water. To reduce pollution we must be aware of the importance of what we do to the environment. By addressing concerns such as climate change and its effects on disease transmission, air pollution and accessibility to clean water, sustainability practices play a crucial role here by enhancing global health. Choosing sustainable practices like cutting back on meat consumption and choosing eco-friendly forms of transportation like cycling can help sustain a clean environment that protects public health. It is high time for us to prioritise sustainable living by putting in action initiatives that promote a healthier world.
Making positive changes involves switching to environmentally friendly exercise equipment and sustainable gym practices. This not only reduces carbon footprints but also reduces resource usage and promotes healthier environments. Following sustainable practises goes beyond maintaining a person's physical health. It has the capacity to enhance our mental wellness as well. Our general state of mind can be greatly improved by engaging with nature, practising mindfulness, and implementing eco-friendly habits. By creating a closer connection with not just ourselves but with others and the world around us, religion and spirituality plays a vital role in helping us to move towards sustainability. True wellness comes from choosing a holistic approach that values both individual well-being and the sustainability of the planet we live in. We can successfully lower stress levels while also encouraging better mental well-being through mindful activities like meditation and choosing sustainable lifestyle choices, all while coexisting peacefully with our surroundings.
Through my personal journey, I have personally been a witness to the incredible advantages of maintaining a sustainable approach to overall well-being. By sticking to a balanced nutritional plan, choosing environmentally-friendly practices and nurturing my spirituality, I have not only achieved personal success and sustained a healthy weight but also made significant contributions towards promoting a sustainable future. As someone who has wholeheartedly enjoyed this transformative voyage by diligently attending the gym regularly over the course of the past year while adopting mindful eating patterns, I am absolutely thrilled for the remarkable transformations! Apart from achieving goals such as shedding kilos and enhancing physical appearance (cue heightened confidence), my commitment has played an crucial role in encouraging advancements pertaining to sustainable progress. It is important to acknowledge that little steps and gradual endeavors hold immeasurable importance when they are all diligently together! Since starting my gym routine approximately one year ago coupled with sticking to a nourishing diet rich in protein alongside cultivation of mindfulness and spiritual practices, I have experienced tremendous accomplishment with respect to weight loss maintenance, overall fitness maintenance whilst concurrently contributing positively towards endorsing sustainability on both local and global scales.
In conclusion, it is critical that we take advantage of this opportunity as a whole and make important decisions that will improve both our physical health and the health of our world as a whole. Multiple studies offer solid evidence demonstrating the connection between sustainable practices and better health outcomes, including decreased disease risks and longer lifespans. We shouldn't be intimidated by making sustainable changes in our daily lives because by implementing small changes like having a plant-based diet, walking or biking instead of driving, eco-friendly and sustainable workout clothes and gear, sustainable gym practices, meditation and religion, we can actually have a big influence. Let's promote eco-friendly practices and raise awareness in our communities as a team to nurture the earth and ourselves. Remember, every small step counts. Stay inspired, stay healthy, and stay sustainable as we embark on this transformative journey together!
