Day 26 - Socialization Day
I present to you our final 3: Drew, Liana, and Paulina! It took a lot of strength, guts, and perseverance to get this far, but they will be spending one last socialization day together before the final challenge tomorrow, and after that, the finale. Can you believe this season is almost over already??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our final three is spending their day recovering their energy from yesterday's challenge and mentally preparing for what's to come, because like last season, the final challenge will be the most intense yet! Liana spent her time reading a book and Drew roasting marshmallows by the campfire. Paulina felt too exhausted to do anything fun and decided to crash on the couch for a bit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But eventually, Liana and Drew also succumb to exhaustion and take naps too. Liana is enjoying peace and quiet in her trailer, since she's been its only occupant since Enzo's departure (Paulina moved trailers after she switched teams). Drew on the other hand decides to nap in the great outdoors like a true camper! What if she wants another marshmallow when she wakes up?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Paulina and Liana wake up, they spent their evening watching a horror movie together! That is... until Paulina ends up passing out
Tumblr media
Paulina hauls herself to her proper place of rest after she wakes up again. After all, she'll need all her energy to take on the final challenge tomorrow! Everybody will...
Who will survive the challenge first and win invincibility into the finale? Who will be eliminated? Who will be the one to survive elimination and join the invincible in the finale? All that and more when we return tomorrow!
Tumblr media
Today's Confessional: Liana Morris
"I don't really mind if I win or not; I'm just so happy I came here! I had so much fun, even if some of the challenges were really hard... Those overnight challenges were especially hard! Every time we had one I could barely keep my eyes open afterwards. I would take an overnight challenge over being at my grandparents' house any day though. Way more fun! This has definitely been the best summer ever, and I know for a fact that whoever wins deserves it!"

Pre-Preparation
It's Sinmas month, it's practically here..But afterwards, how am I to survive the dreaded hiatus, the lack of new content that will come in the scary new year? Heck, I came into this fandom in March, and by the following month had already gotten the trailer and (month) release dates of five future episode, I'm SPOILED!
The answer is the only way I know how: over-analyzing and obsessive planning! Here's the current game plan:
February: Valentine's Merch at Shark Robot
April: LVL UP Expo runs between April 25th-27th, possible season 3 trailer drop?
May: Spring Merch at Shark Robot
July: Summer Merch at Shark Robot
Summer: Possible start of new episodes? Seasons 1 and 2 had a 9 month hiatus between their air dates and the second half of the second season began after a 7 month one. It's possible they're farther ahead on season 3, but I'll still expect at least several months to wait. And with a 15 episode season expected, it's also possible they could divide the season out moreso than before.
September/October: Halloween Merch at Shark Robot
November: Winter/Christmas Merch at Shark Robot
Okay, so my plan mainly consists of merchandise drops at the moment. Won't lie, I'd love to see some new shorts or a music video, but for right now I'm mostly counting on what has been consistent for this fandom that I'm still learning about.
Beyond that, I'm sure 2025 will (eventually) bring about new spoilers, speculation and then our shiny new episodes.

There was eleven of us, we lived in the lake... For breakfast, mother cut wind, I didn't know my father, as he perished of liver cancer, when he died in a tragic car accident, after self-immolation at uncle Eugeniusz's name day party. Uncle Eugeniusz was taken by the NKVD in '59. No one complained.
We were all part of hordes and plundered the area. Konin, Szczecin and Oslo were in flames. We also played in construction sites. Sometimes one of us got hit with a reinforced slab, sometimes not. Whenever our foot got impaled with a stray nail, mother cut it off and said with a smile, "you, kurna, got another one, yeah?" She didn't tremble with fear that we're gonna kill each other like that. She knew that we're all going to die eventually. No one complained.
Seasonal diseases were fought by grandma. To combat tuberculosis, scurvy, tumors and polio, we used urine and moss. The doctor visited us, unless at grandma's - for the moss and urine. We went to the woods whenever we wanted. We ate berries, which were previously pissed on by foxes and roe deer. We ate death caps, which were defecated on by rabid bisons and martens. We didn't have hamburgers - we ate wolves. We didn't have chips - we ate ants. There wasn't coca-cola back then, there was bear saliva. There was frog period blood. No one complained.
Whenever our neighbor caught us stealing apples, he punished us himself. Lime pit, knife, hunting rifle - it varied. The neighbor didn't get offended over the stolen apples, and neither did father over replacement in parenting duties. Father and the neighbor drank beer in the evening - as always. Then father came back home, and on his way he took another child. Children then were littered everywhere. On lawns, in drainage ditches, by bus stops, under trees. Just like how today are littered candy bar wrappers. There weren't candy bars back then, but children were laying everywhere. No one complained.
During summer, we climbed on top of the skyscrapers, and weren't monitored by adults. We jumped. Nobody, however, got splattered on the pavement. Everyone could fly and no one needed any special lessons in order to learn this skill. No one also complained.
During winter, some father arranged us a sleigh ride with his old fiat, and always sped up during turns. Sometimes the sleds got caught against the trees or fences. Then we fell. Sometimes that moment a jelcz or star drove by. Then we died. No one complained.
Bruises and scrapes were a normal occurence. Just like knocked out teeth, ripped open stomachs, sudden lack of an eye or amateur amputations. The school pedagogue didn't send us to the family psychologist because of that. Nobody informed us how to dial a number to the police (then MO) to snitch on our parents. The belt was then a teaching aid, and from aid, nobody had yet died from. Aunt Janinka repeated, "better a spanking than breakfast". No one complained.
We made ourselves soups from mazut, asbestos and Ludwik. We also ate crack, fingernails of strangers, animal remains, sandpaper, chemical fertilizers, thistles, aphids, cow fetuses, fish feces, kogel-mogel. When somebody got stung by a bee, they drank 2 glasses of milk and pressed it with a cold frying pan. When somebody choked, they drank 3 glasses of milk and pressed it with a heated frying pan. No one complained.
Nobody went to the dentist every month. Cavities are tasty. Whenever someone swole from an aching tooth, we played catch with their head. We had one dental filling for the eleven of us. Everyone wore it for 2-3 days in a month. No one complained.
We were young and tough. We refused car rides. We just ran after it. Our dog was tied to the trailer hitch with a steel stable and ran next to us. And no one was bothered by it. No one complained.
We were raised by gamekeepers, old witches, escaped prisoners, collegues from juvie, janitors and priests. Our mothers birthed our siblings normally - at work, in reedbeds or at the balcony. Almost all of us survived, only some of us didn't go to prison. No one finished studies, but everyone found work. Some of them started their own families and are raising their children according to psychologists' recommendations. That's sad. Currently, there is more candy bars than children.
We, the children from our lake, love our parents for how they then didn't yet know how to "properly" raise us. It is thanks to them that we spent our childhood without sweets, respect, a warm dinner, sense, and some - limbs.
No one complained.

hello hi
i saw someone say they recasted gen so maybe mari does have a chance of surviving!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
okay but in regards of pit girl idk if i said anything about this already (sorry if i have 😭) but like when would that scene even happen. like it’s already spring so assuming it’s like s1 and like at the end of the season it’s like becoming the next season then the next winter would be like the very end of the show right?? maybe i’m just stupid but wouldn’t it be s3: spring-summer , s4: summer-fall , then s5: fall-winter but it’s not even renewed for that much yet 🤧 they did say they want it to last 5 seasons though so hopefully . but also i feel like they have so much more to get into and also i don’t see the need for any more sacrifices in season 3 considering the animals would be out more right??? like there wasn’t really anything in winter because it’s winter but it should be getting warmer so deer and stuff should be out (i actually saw a couple of deer yesterday!!! they were out in a little field by the forest)
honestly if there IS a secret survivor idk who i’d want it to be 🤔🤔🤔 like i want it to be mari but it’d also be nice for it to be someone else and idk about ben like i’m really curious to see what’ll happen with him
-🎸
i hope so, gen’s a cutie but if i had to choose y’all know i’d go for mari 😖🙏🏻
maybe it’d happen at the start of the new season? cuz it’s still winter 🤔🤔 and i’m pretty sure it’d be gen cuz look
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and ben can die in that cave for all i care 😒 i just know akilah will prolly be a survivor cuz her trailer says “teen akilah” 🤨

- Don't like Cavill for some things he's done but good for him to play a role he has passion for. I know he said he wasn't gonna be in season 4 bc of the writing direction so.

Cool. And now you've made me want to tell mine:
It's funny to me cause LiveJournal is where i started. Well, not technically. Technically I was on a fan blog the CW network made for Supernatural. During the summer before Season 3 (I was maybe 13 or so) I got into that blog (the "CW lounge") and they had SPN Fanfics on there, among many other things (we used to play a lot of fan games and discuss the show on there too). Sometimes they gave links to their LiveJournal accounts so it was the 1st fanfic site I lurked. (I never joined LiveJournal)
I wrote 2 fanfics for Supernatural for myself before I finally joined Fanfiction net in 2010 and wrote many more there. I also wrote a bit for 12 Monkeys (Syfy), Dominion (Syfy), and one fic for 911 Lone Star. These are all shows where I took part in fandom. I was a fan of many other shows (Heartland (CBC), Person Of Interest. Nikita (CW), etc.), but didn't feel the need to interact with every fandom.
Fanfics and gifs are my thing. I joined Tumblr in 2015 for the gifs more so than any human interactions. I just wanted to reblog gifs at first. I later live watched and reblogged Tumblr comments for Supernatural and 911 Lone Star episodes.
I never knew about the Pedro fandom until recently either. I got Disney+ for the first time the summer of 2022 and Din was my intro to the Pedro fandom. (Just ignore the fact I'd seen Pedro in The Mentalist and Nikita before but didn't recognize him when Din had his helmet off).
I'd already been in the fandom for The Last of Us (mainly for Joel) for at least a month before I got to see Din. So I loved Joel before I knew Pedro (but I knew he'd do the role justice when the BTS pics started really rolling out and the first TLOU trailer sold me).
I spent several months watching his guest star roles on youtube and watching some of his movies while also reading fics on here. "The Crush" by @the-ginger-hedge-witch was the first Pedro character fic I read (Javier Pena). I don't think I was even done watching Narcos by that point (it took me a while to get around to Season 3).
By the time TLOU Season 1 aired I was reading Pedro character fanfics on here constantly. Also on AO3 too. But I don't like AO3's set-up. I'm hardly on there (except to archive fics for safe keeping). I didn't want to join AO3 but when someone took down their fic on Tumblr and only had it on AO3 I joined AO3 so I could bookmark the fanfic. It's just an archive for me, through and through.
I wrote for Joel just after TLOU was done airing, my first reader fic EVER. I also was not used to reading/writing reader fics - Supernatural fics were almost always 3rd person, sometimes 1st person for romantic fics. It took time for me to like reading and writing in 2nd person "you". I still prefer 3rd person but I like that in reader fics I don't have to describe the reader's appearance. lol
June 2023 was when I caved and started writing Pedro character fics on the regular.
This fandom is also unique to me. I've enjoyed many actors' work but it's not often I follow an actor (I don't even follow Jensen Ackles after Supernatural and I loved him playing Dean and think he's a great actor). Even with Pedro if there's no chance I'll like the show/movie I'll just skip it or I'll only watch the character's scenes. I'm not crazy over The Bubble, but you bet your ass I love reading Dieter fics. Same with Javi G.
What I like about fanfics in this fandom is there's a character for every story. You want to write an end of the world fanfic? Use Joel. A survival fic? (Or camping trip!) Use Frankie. A one night stand fic? Use Javier Pena (or not, that man could totally settle down in Texas). Want a grumpy grump grump male lead? Pick Pero. Want a softie to turn you to mush? Pick Javi G. Want to treat your inner dark side? Pick Dave. There's always a match out there for every fic and every person.
I'm pretty selective about my fics cause I like them more canon based (at least in characterization) but even then I find a ton of fics. The best ones usually have under 1,000 notes - usually - I have found a few over 1,000 that are amazing too - but most super popular fics don't know the characters imo - it's more about what they want the character to do to them/kinky stuff rather than staying true to the character. Nothing wrong with headcanons, but I prefer it to feel like something I could picture them doing on screen. If they allowed smut on screen in detail. (I also pick fics based on my personal preferences after the fic passes the "canon test". Usually. I have a few guilty pleasures that made the characters a bit out of character).
Anyway, I've said too much. But that's my fandom story.
Thought I'd randomly give a friendship bracelet to someone on the Scout list (to be fair since I know many of you in passing) and my finger landed on your username. :)
Tumblr media
I'm always curious about how people entered the fandom - so I'm curious to know how you did?
(I tend to get long winded when I explain my origin so don't be afraid of being detailed)
hi!! thank you 🧡🥰 I love it!
I'm kind of excited to answer! ok here come the details. I've been in fandom in general for what feels like forever -- I started reading fic when I was like 11 or 12 and discovered ffnet (I turn 37 this month). I hopped from there to livejournal to various individual ship sites (we used to do it that way before ao3, for anyone who doesn't remember) to like, yahoo groups, and back to ffnet.
Then I got a tumblr in ... 2010ish? Not this account, I created this one last October so I could be more involved in this fandom and post fics. So my other one has been around forever (yeah I was here for dashcon and everything else lmao), and I was a fan in many fandoms, but I was never a creator. I think my post with the most notes was from when I watched Hannibal and liveblogged about it (I wasn't in the Hannibal fandom, before anyone asks). I was pretty active on tumblr until the end of 2018, less active until 2022, and then I came back in a sort of chill way. I wasn't posting much, just reblogging and scrolling.
On the fic side, I got an ao3 account in 2012 after reading without an account for like a year (RIP to all those bookmarks that never were). I've been reading fic daily for like, most of my life at this point, but ao3 changed the game in such a huge way. It's weird to think back to what life was like before ao3! (as of today I have 9235 bookmarks on ao3)
Then in spring 2023 I discovered that the Pedro fandom existed. Honestly I'm sad I didn't know about it before, I feel like it would have helped me through 2020 and 2021 if I did. I read my first ever x reader fic (rough day) and then went looking for the author on tumblr. (I will admit I had a bias against x reader before I tried it myself. I think that's not abnormal for those of us who came from fandoms that didn't have it.) Then I discovered people on tumblr and discord were talking about all of the things I wanted to talk about with Din, Joel, and Pedro (Din and Joel were my entry to this fandom, despite my first fav Pedro character being Oberyn). I read some Din and Joel fics, realized how much I liked all of this, and then couldn't get the idea for Over Again out of my head. I started writing it in my notes app last April and created a side blog when I started posting it. Then in October I turned this into a full blog instead, so I could reply and interact as much as possible! (the side blog is still attached to my old blog and I use it as the updates blog now - @burntheedges-updates)
Having been in so many fandoms previously, I love that this one is sort of unique in how we follow one actor's characters rather than stick to one piece of media (or a universe). I've honestly never seen anything like it, but it's easily my favorite fandom that I've been in. It's also the first time I've written any fic at all since I was like 15.
I almost listed all of the fandoms I've ever followed/been in on tumblr but decided not to. lol I can if anyone wants to know! thank you for asking and letting me ramble. 🧡

lex!! i am humbling begging if we can get billy being alive/surviving for season 4 and maybe him being present for max's possession and eventual escape from vecna ?? essentially some max & billy sibling stuff we were robbed off this season (also harringrove on the side if you so please!)
okokok so here's some quick AU notes to establish this 'verse: Billy survives the Mind Flayer attack with Max's help; Neil & Susan stay together, but Billy's medical expenses drain them and they're forced to sell the house and move into the trailer to afford his care; Steve & Billy are in an established relationship. LET'S GO.
but see how deep the bullet lies fic requests open
The harsh, metallic reek of iron stings Max's nostrils. Her breath shudders; her heart pounds. There is blood on her hands, on her clothes — blood pooling on the floor. She pushes hard against Billy's chest, against his belly, tears pricking her eyes as she begs him to, "Stay awake, please stay awake. Billy, talk to me. Billy, don't fall asleep. Don't go, don't go, don't go."
His eyes are glassy. His lashes flutter. He opens his mouth to talk and more blood comes out, sputtering at the corners of his lips. Max shakes her head, shushes him, pleads with him to, "Please, Billy, stay with me. Stay with me." but his heartbeat weakens against her palms and she feels him fading, fading, fading, and —
Max wakes with a gasp.
The room is pitch-dark. She blinks and slowly shapes come into focus: a stereo against the wall, a stack of paperbacks and comic books piled up in the corner. From the far side of the room, Billy snores. Max turns, finds him lying on his back on a twin-sized bed that's far too small for him, his blankets tangled around his legs and his chest rising and falling in sleep.
Max collapses against her pillows. She turns to her side so that she can see Billy and forces her breathing to match his, slow and steady and rhythmic. She clutches her blanket and remembers the feel of his shirt in her hands, the feel of his heartbeat stuttering beneath her fingers. She remembers the red lights painting the high walls around them, the urgency of the paramedics as they pulled her away from Billy, swarmed around him like buzzing bees. She flicks her eyes to the nightstand, to the red LED numbers on Billy's alarm clock.
It is 3:45am on March 21, 1986.
Billy's birthday is soon. He will turn 19. He will graduate come summer. His is not among the names listed in the Hawkins' Post memorial articles; it does not ripple across the evening news scroll each time Starcourt is mentioned. He is here, he is alive, he is okay.
***
The next thing Max knows, a hand is squeezing her shoulder.
She blinks. Sunlight filters through the grimy bedroom windows. Max squints and sees Billy standing over her, his body slanted awkwardly as he leans heavily against the silver crutch that the physical therapist still won't let him ditch.
"C'mon, shitbird," he says. His voice is gravelly and low, but not harsh. "Harrington's here."
"Shit," Max murmurs. She tosses her covers aside, darts into the bathroom, rushes to get ready. By the time she emerges, Billy is already outside. Steve's car is idling in drive; he always pulls up as close as he can to the trailer, though he would never dare bruise Billy's ego by admitting that it's because of him, to shorten the distance that Billy has to walk.
Billy is much stronger now than he was. He's stubborn, too, always pushing himself beyond what the doctors and the therapists and the specialists advise, and Steve is protective. He does everything in his power to make things comfortable for Billy. Hell, if Steve had it his way, Billy would never so much as lift a finger.
Robin is already tucked in the backseat of the beamer, fixing her makeup in the tiny mirror of a blush compact. "Good morning," she sing-songs as Max opens the passenger door and Billy collapses into the seat. Max takes the crutch from him, tucks it into the trunk of the car where it will stay until after school, when Steve drops them off back home. This is how Billy wants it, and no amount of protesting will change his mind.
Steve's greetings are always quiet. He lights a hand on the back of Billy's neck, his thumb gently massaging Billy's shoulder. Billy melts into his touch, exhaling a long sigh.
"Morning," Max greets as she folds into the backseat.
Robin raises a brow and asks, "You okay?"
Billy's gaze meets Max's in the rearview mirror, begging the same question. Max swallows past the lump in her throat and says, "I'm fine." Before anyone can say anything else, she pulls her headphones over her ears and pushes play on her Walkman. She leans her head against the cool glass of the window and watches Hawkins ripple by. Beside her, Robin begins worrying over Vicki. Across the console, Steve holds Billy's hand. Max stares at their intertwined fingers, focuses on the realness of the two of them together, of Billy solid and real and smiling as Steve makes some quip about Robin's band mate crush and Robin punches the back of Steve's seat.
Max closes her eyes, lets the laughter and the teasing in the car merge with the soulful tones of Kate Bush oozing through her speakers, wills any image of Billy hurt — of Billy on the ground — of Billy dying — out of her head.
***
Chrissy Cunningham is dead.
Max knew, of course. She knew before the news ever released her name. She'd watched Chrissy climb into Eddie's trailer, had whispered to Billy, "Did you see that?"
"See what?" Billy had asked. He'd been perched on his bed, a battered library copy of The Catcher in the Rye open in his lap, a pencil tucked behind his ear and a dying cigarette dangling from his lips. His stereo was just loud enough to drown out the argument in the kitchen, Neil and Susan bickering over extra shifts and overdue hospital bills.
Max sighed and said, "Nevermind."
Billy glanced up, brows creased, and asked, "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing," Max lied. She felt Billy's eyes on her, boring into the back of her head, and she fixed her headphones over her ears and cranked the volume on her Walkman to push him out. She stretched out on her bed and closed her eyes until she felt Billy's gaze lift off of her, and then she turned and watched him paging through his book until she fell asleep.
She'd had another nightmare that night. She was walking the sterile halls of the Hawkins Memorial Hospital, and the lights flickered overhead. Every single room that she passed looked the same and her heart lodged in her throat as she pushed each door and found empty bed after empty bed after bed. A slow, long, steady beeping noise drowned out all of her senses. A team of nurses rushed by her with a crash cart and she ran after them, followed them all the way to the end of the hall and there he was: Billy, looking small and frail and sickly, all bones and bruises, the machines around him flatlining with a deafening squeal. Someone shouted, "Clear!", paddles were thrust against Billy's chest and —
Max woke in a cold sweat. Her hand flew to her chest as if it might catch her runaway heart. Her gaze shot across the room and there Billy was, his back to her, asleep and blissfully unaware of the horror of her dreams.
In the brief period between Billy's discharge from the hospital and the family's move into the trailer, Max had spent many a night asleep on Billy's bedroom floor. She'd have a bad dream, see him dead in her arms or in a hospital bed, see his gravestone rising up out of the ground before her, and she'd need to see him, alive and breathing, to calm herself down. She'd drag a pillow and a blanket into Billy's room and curl up beside his bed, comforted by the sound of his creaking mattress, his gentle snoring, his soft breath. When they'd moved into a tiny trailer with two tiny bedrooms, she'd secretly been glad for the close quarters, the shared room. Billy was never far from her. She could always check on him, assure herself that he was okay.
She'd never stopped to think about herself.
Not until the killings started. Not until she sat in a dark school laboratory, stolen counseling files spread open in front of her, the same symptoms repeating themselves over and over again. Headaches. Nightmares. Visions.
"I'm next," she says without thinking.
Six pairs of eyes land on hers, Billy's burning the hottest.
"What?" he asks at the same time Steve says, "Max."
She turns toward them. Lucas and Dustin watch her warily from a worktable, both of them slack-jawed. Robin stills. Nancy frowns. Billy takes a step forward and Max instinctively moves back. She clutches the files, their damning words seared into her brain.
"I have all the symptoms," she says. "The same as Chrissy. The same as Fred." She looks at the floor, scuffing the toe of her Vans against the linoleum. Billy closes the gap between them, Steve hovering behind him. Billy grasps Max arm and tears spring to Max's eyes. She looks up at him, trembling, and is unprepared when he pulls her against him, locking his arms around her. She is frozen for a moment, and then she relaxes. She closes her arms around Billy's middle and lets him hold her steady, squeezing her eyes shut and swallowing her tears and bracing herself against her brother.
"Whatever this thing is," Billy says fiercely, "it's not getting you."
Max squeezes him, his scars be damned. She clings to Billy and Billy lets her. She clings to him and she prays his his words are true. It's not getting you. It's not getting you. It's not getting you.
***
The Wheeler's basement is a bleak place to spend a last night. Max watches as her friends fall out: Dustin first, trying hard to stay awake but succumbing around midnight. Lucas is quick to follow. Billy and Steve sit together on the couch, Billy leaning into Steve, Steve's arms around Billy.
"How are you?" Steve whispers.
"How do you think?" Billy says. He watches Max, perched at the desk, pen moving faster than he ever thought possible. He's watched her write and fold a dozen letters, label each envelope carefully. Billy sighs, shifts in seat. "This fuck isn't getting her," he says definitively. "I won't let it."
"Billy—" Steve starts, but Billy holds up his hand.
"No," he says sternly. "She's my sister."
"Yeah," Steve says, pressing his lips against Billy's shoulder and lingering a moment longer than normal. He nods, squeezes Billy a little tighter, and says, "Yeah. She is."
They hold out the longest. After Nancy retires to her bedroom and Robin passes out in an overstuffed armchair, Steve and Billy stay awake. Steve falls asleep somewhere around five o'clock in the morning, slumped against the couch cushions with his arms still secure around Billy's middle. Billy is the last man standing, and Max can feel his gaze on her, lingering until the sun rises.
When she finally rises, Billy is the first person she hands a letter to, neatly tucked into an envelope with his name printed on the front. "What's this?" he asks.
"It's..." Max starts, and then she falters. She shakes her head and says, "Just in case," she says. "If things don't work out."
Billy crushes the letter in his fist.
Max gasps, "Billy!"
Billy shakes his head and says, "I'm not gonna need that."
"Billy, please," Max begs. "We have to be realistic—"
"I am," Billy insists. By this point, Steve has woken up. He watches the exchange warily. Max looks at him and then back to Billy. Her brother's eyes are hard. She knows this mood, knows that there is no talking him down, no reasoning with him. He's made up his mind. Max wishes she could be as sure as he is. She sighs and silently hands a letter to Steve.
***
Max is able to convince the group to bring her home. She insists that it is important, and though Billy knows what she is up to — knows that she wants to leave letters for her mom, and her dad, and her aunts and her uncles and her grandparents and even Neil — he says nothing as Steve rounds the bend and pulls up alongside the trailer that has become home.
Billy moves to exit the car, but Max's hand on his shoulder stops him. He stills, looks over his shoulder at his sister.
"Give me this, okay?" she asks. "I won't be long."
Billy relents, and he watches Max disappear inside the trailer. Steve's hand grasps Billy's and Billy squeezes. They wait for a long while, the whole car silent. In the backseat, Lucas and Dustin barely breathe. Billy bounces his a leg, a nervous habit he's never quite shaken, and Steve squeezes his hand harder.
"She'll be okay," Steve says.
"No," Billy says, his free hand reaching for the door handle. "Something's wrong."
***
Billy finds Max in the backyard.
She is standing still as stone between the clotheslines, freshly cleaned flannel shirts and bedsheets rippling around her. The others follow behind Billy, Steve and then Lucas and then Dustin, everyone hesitating as Billy holds out a hand. He doesn't want to crowd her, to scare her. But as he draws closer he sees the glassiness of her eyes, the rigid stillness of her muscles.
"Max?" Billy tries. She does not respond. Louder, Billy barks, "Max!"
"Dustin," Steve says, snapping and pointing toward the car. "Call Nance. Now."
Dustin scrambles toward the car and Lucas runs in the opposite direction, toward Billy and Max. Billy has his hands on Max's arms and he shakes her but she still doesn't react, doesn't respond.
"Max!" Billy cries, squeezing her arms so tight he can feel his nails cutting half-moon groove in her skin. "Come on, Max! Come back. Maxine!"
Lucas places on a hand on Max's back and tries, too. "Max? Max?"
Nothing. Billy looks at Lucas and shakes his head. Max is staring straight ahead, looking right through them. There is no reaching her. Lucas's hands fly up to his head. He repeats her name over and over again to no avail, and Billy looks desperately at Steve, who only shakes his head. He doesn't have any answers. He doesn't know what to do.
"What's her favorite song?" Dustin cries suddenly. He races around the trailer, his arms loaded with Max's cassettes. Steve runs with him, and Billy and Lucas's heads snap up.
"What?" Lucas asks, dumbfounded.
Dustin collapses near them, the tapes scattered across the lawn. "What's her favorite song?" he breathes, falling to his knees and rifling through the cassettes. Lucas drops, too, and helps to sort through the tapes: Madonna and Joan Jett, David Bowie and Bjork.
"I don't understand," says Steve.
"I'll explain later!" Dustin says. "What's her favorite song?"
Lucas is holding two tapes, weighing the odds, and Billy reaches over his shoulder and swipes Kate Bush out of his hands. Lucas looks up at him, watches as Billy loads the tape into Max's Walkman.
"Are you sure?" Lucas asks.
Billy scoffs. He's shared a room with his sister for months. He knows her music like the back of his hand, as heard the notes warbling through Max's headphones, has heard them pulse behind their bedroom door on the rare occasion that Max gains control of the stereo before he can. He knows. He's sure. He's right.
He has to be.
"Holy shit!" Billy exclaims. Max lifts into the air, her arms open at her sides, and Billy watches in horror as she rises above him. "Max!" he calls, and all around him the others join in, a chorus of her name repeated again, and again, and again. "Max! Max! Max!"
***
Max can hear them. There is a window and she can see them: her friends, her family, crowded around her, crying out to her. Vecna leans in and Max snarls.
He can't have her. She won't stay here. She won't die.
She thinks of Lucas, nervous and fidgety at the Snow Ball. She thinks of Dustin cheerfully inviting her to go trick-or-treating. She thinks of Mike. She thinks of Will, always sweet and kind. She thinks of El, of laughing with her, of the photoshoot they did. She thinks of Steve, adamantly refusing to allow her to drive his car.
She thinks of Billy, asleep in the hospital, his hand limp in hers. She'd held it anyway, clung to him then, whispered, "Please don't go. I think I need you."
His hand had closed around hers, his grip weak but undeniable. His eyes had been closed but still he whispered, "I'm still here."
She sees him now, face upturned, screaming her name. She runs to him. She runs to all of them, Vecna in her wake, Kate Bush singing all around her. She runs and she runs and she runs.
***
Max falls.
She gasps. It feels like a hundred hands are grabbing for her, but strongest are Billy's, and she scrabbles toward them, lets him gather her up. She throws her arms around his neck and presses her face into his shoulder. Lucas's hands fall on her back and she uncoils. She sobs against Billy and she whispers, over and over and over again, those same words he'd said so many months ago.
"I'm still here. I'm still here. I'm still here."

Rambling about Legend of Vox Machina casting credits
So like everyone else, I've heard about IMDB putting up cast credits for the first half of The Legend of Vox Machina's second season.  There's been the delightful news, of course, such as Matt voicing Victor, and Robbie and Aimee getting to do voicework for the show.  But looking at the actual episode credits for everyone, there's some interesting news as well.  This will contain spoilers:
Arranging this more or less by actor, just to make things easier for myself as I scroll down IMDB's page:
Matt: Voicing Umbrasyl in at least episodes 1, 5, and 6, Craven Edge in episodes 2,3, 5 & 6, an adaro in episode 3, Victor in episode 2, and Purvan Suul in episode 4.  We'd expect to see Umbrasyl in the first episode, obviously, and 6 makes sense, too, since we've got credits for Kevdak and Zanror in that episode as well.  But I wonder what he's doing in episode 5, exactly.  Meanwhile, it seems Grog holds onto that sword at least until about the time it turned on him on stream, though that could still happen any time before his fight with Kevdak (where, in the trailer, we saw him using his axe instead).  Also, it seems Vox Machina will be fighting as aquatic monstrosity in place of the beholder, which kind of makes sense.  Victor's appearing in the most obvious episode for him too. The really interesting voice credit is Purvan Suul, and for the episode right after the Sunken Tomb.  While I am very much hoping for Age of Arcanum flashbacks, that would be a little late for them.  I wonder if Vax is going to hear from him while communing with the Raven Queen.
Liam: Voicing Vorugal in episode 1 only, at least in the season's first half.  So again, why is Umbrasyl in episode 5 when Vorugal isn't?
Esme Creed-Miles & Gina Torres: Voicing Cassandra and Keeper Yennen in episode 1 only.  We're probably not going see much of Whitestone during the season's first half.
Indira Varma & Stephanie Beztriz: Voicing Allura and Kima in episode 5, with Allura also in episode one.  1's obvious enough; it's a little odder Kima's not in that episode, since the series puts her in Emon already, but perhaps that was just how the editing went.  5's a little more interesting.  The assumption is it'll involve closing the rift in Pyrah, but I wonder if we'll get a flashback to them imprisoning Thordak.  Or if they'll even come to Pyrah to help seal it, but that raises the question of why neither of them appear in the between episodes.
Kelly Hu: Voicing Anna Ripley in episode 5.  Which is really interesting, especially since Matt's credits for that episode are only for Umbrasyl, Trinket, and Craven Edge.  So if she's not buying gunpowder from Victor, and she's *probably* not showing up to kill Percy just yet, what is she doing??
Sunil Mahotra and Eugene Byrd: Voicing Gilmore and Jarrett only in episode 1, at least in the season's first half.  Which makes me sad, and worried for Jarrett's survival especially.  I don't *think* they'd kill Gilmore...
Will & Mary: Voices Kash and Zahra in episodes 2-4.  Which makes sense, mostly.  Hopefully we see them heading for Whitestone in episode 4, since they apparently don't go to Pyrah.
Fred Tatasciore, Janet Varney, & Kestrel Riegal: Voicing Korrin, Vilya, and young Keyleth in episode 5.  Obviously we're getting a flashback to Keyleth's young years in this episode.  It also leaves uncertain whether or not Korrin will show in Pyrah, since he could just be in said flashback.  Keyleth's aramente trial's obviously going to become sealing the rift, so perhaps she'll have to do that without her father's help.
Lance Reddick & Cree Summer: Voicing Thordak and Raishan in episodes 1 & 3.  But not, apparently, in episode 5, so if there is a flashback of Thordak being imprisoned, perhaps he simply doesn't say anything in it?  Raishan would also have to free him silently, but perhaps that part will simply be implied.  Episode 3's also a little bit of an odd time for them to be appearing instead, though perhaps the series just wants to keep track of the two most important dragons even when they're away from our heroes.
Alanna Ubach & Tony Plana: Voicing the sphinxes in episode 6, with Ossysa also in episode 2.  The main question is why Ossya's in episode 6, but it might just be Vox Machina remembering her words.
Troy Baker: Voicing Syldor in episode 3.  Which is does not make sense for Syldor to make a personal appearance in, so I'm pretty sure we're getting either a flashback or one of the twins hearing his voice in their head.  Cue the angst!
Ralph Ineson & Abubaker Salim: Voicing Kevdak and Zanror in episode 6.  Which Umbrasyl is also in, so obviously, we're getting at least one scene of Westrun, probably as setup for the following episodes.  No credit for any inhabitants to Westrun though, so we might even just see them forming their alliance.
Ike Amadi, Robbie, Aimee, and Sumalee's appearances in their specific episodes are all pretty self-explanatory.
Not appearing in the first half of the season: Dr. Dranzel and Kaylee!  We know they're in it, but apparently not in Vasselheim?  Perhaps in Westrun? No credits for Henry Winkler either, but it makes sense he'd only appear once Vox Machina actually reaches the city.

Season 3 thoughts after the trailer
- Ashlyn and Kourtney as Anna and Elsa???
Based on that one scene of them together and the emphasis on Gina going for the lead just for her not to get it
- plus EJ directing seems like a conflict of interest with Gina and Ashlyn going for leads most likely?? ??
- I love Portwell but theres too much foreshadowing/set up for them to survive this season
- like Carlos’ line of “ we have to see you guys be together all summer” or something hints that they won’t
- the Rina interactions in the trailer don’t help :((
- don’t do my girl Gina like this
- interesting that EJ is directing though and not starring , will be an interesting dynamic
- we still need him singing though please
- Nini in the new poster what ????
- why is JoJo Siwa here
- no Seb , Big Red , or Mazzarra :((
Please let Portwell, specifically Gina be happy thank you

Hey isa!! Beach date, Cafe date, hiking, ballroom dancing and shopping date for the ask game? :3
thank you!!! answering these for tim bc im thinking about him now
🏝 [BEACH DATE] ~ What’s your favorite season to do fun things in? What about your F/O’s?
i feel like we both prefer the colder seasons. the south gets way too hot in the summer. my favorite is autumn but halloween stuff can be kind of an unpleasant reminder for him sometimes so he prefers winter.
☕️ [CAFE DATE] ~ If you and your F/O ran a small business together, what would you sell?
i feel like we'd run a secondhand store!! i feel like this would be years after the events of marble hornets so we're just a sweet middle aged couple who run a charming secondhand store and nobody knows what happened to us in our twenties but they get the vibe we have some sort of story.
🏔 [HIKING] ~ If you and your F/O were out lost in the wilderness, what would you do? What would happen?
this has actually kind of happened in canon to tim and in my mh self ship timeline it's happened to my s/i as well. thankfully we were both able to make it out before needing to make use of any serious survival skills but i think if we had to stay a night or two we'd still be okay.
🎻 [BALLROOM DANCING] ~ If you and your F/O had a trailer for your relationship, what song would you want to be used for it?
look i know the obvious is 400 Lux by Lorde but i don't feel like that's trailer music. i think the actual trailer song would be All You Wanted by Michelle Branch.
🛍 [SHOPPING DATE] ~ If you could have one item of your F/O’s in real life, what would you want? Or, if you do have an item of theirs irl, tell us about it!
i have a flannel that i pretend is his but it doesn't look like any of his from the show 😔 i really wish i could find a jacket that looks like the one masky wears...it looks warm

please don’t be sorry for taking time to reply!! i hope everything’s/you’re okay!
oooh what was your theory after season 3? because i was so late i already knew how it played out, which is kinda sad cause i would’ve loved to experience that finale with no idea what came next. I agree about being more drawn to what’s happening with the adults lol, and yes I love the dynamics too. The will/Jonathan scenes in season 4 were great. (Although my ultimate favourite scene this season I think is either the jopper reunions or the one with Dustin & Eddie). The dynamics are I think my absolute favourite thing about stranger things.
Thanks for understanding, lovely! I'm hanging in there, just been fighting off a lingering sickness that's been giving me trouble this summer. 🙃
I have a tendency to get bad upper respiratory infections. I'm asthmatic (and am in the middle of a flare bc the pollen is terrible and my body hates me apparently haha) so it takes me longer to get over things. So between fevers, sinusitis, headaches, a URI I can't shake, and a cough that I'm trying to prevent from turning into bronchitis, I've been running on capital "E" empty. Regrettably, it's also made me tortoise slow about getting back to my friends but I'm doing my best to answer when I have the energy!
In short, my immune system is the actual worst. ☠️
Anyway, about Stranger Things!
After s3, I remember having no idea if Hopper was actually dead or not. Since Joyce took the kids and moved, it was obvious they all believed he was gone for good. That scene where it looked like he got blown up was eviscerating--I was so emotional at the idea that he sacrificed himself to save them all. We didn't get confirmation that he was still alive until they released a teaser trailer some time in the middle of the pandemic. (It's hard to remember when precisely when because that whole period is/was a blur. 2020-2022 felt like a century worth of time had lapsed.) I did think that it was possible he had survived the blast and was captured by the Russians. But since we had lost so many other characters we loved earlier in the series, I couldn't rule out the possibility that he wasn't coming back.
The dynamics and relationships between the characters are what make the show for me. The Jopper reunion in s4 was one of my favorites. I also really loved Hopper and El's reunion scene. (I cried like a baby, ngl.) Dustin and Eddie's brother-like brotp continues to be one of things I love most about ST. Not only is it sweet but their scenes/interactions often lighten the mood a lot of the time. Provides great comic relief. It's like HIMBO big brother meets nerdy D&D-playing little brother. I love it so much. 😄

Note
why their favourite items are their favourite items for the bachelorettes? you can just pick one item if you like
OH I’ve been thinking about this since I started playing! I tried to do the things that aren’t as commonly thought about as favorites. I hope you enjoy! Thank you ily <3
HA so after doing all of the bachelors I re-read and realized it was only an ask for the bachelorettes SO you get both now hehe
Sebastian
Favorite thing: Pumpkin soup
His dad left them in the fall which is why he has an aversion to most of the autumn seasonal flavors
He was really attached to his dad as a baby so when he abandoned them it hurt Sebastian really badly
The one thing he can’t seem to stay away from is pumpkin soup though
Robin actually has cooked it since he can remember
It was his dads favorite too
It brings back the good memories he has from when his parents were together
Robin only makes it when Maru and Demetrius are out together doing sciency things
They sit on the couch together and watch old movies and bond while they eat it but Robin keeps it a secret because she knows he doesn’t like to come across as a softie
She’ll also make him some if she knows he’s particularly down. She’ll just run it down to his room, kiss him on the forehead, remind him that she’s always there if he needs to talk, and leaves him be
Sam
Favorite thing: Tigerseye
Before Kent could afford the mermaid pendant for Jodi, his mom gave him an old tigerseye ring to propose with
Sam always though it was more romantic than a stupid mermaid pendant (basic, duh)
He used to sit on his grandma’s lap as a kid and she would tell him all about his grandpa who died before Sam was born
He was poor, too, when they got married and he managed to trade some manual labor for the ring
It always reminds him of his family and how much he loves them
100% will propose with a tigerseye ring instead of a mermaid pendant
Harvey
Favorite thing: Coffee
Started drinking coffee in middle school
His grandma would always brew a pot while he was over and they would sit and chat about life
The smell of coffee always reminds him of her
He still makes it how she would make it for him. 2 spoonfuls of sugar. That’s it.
He regularly uses the coffee cup he would always use at her house
It has ducks on it with blue trim
Every year on the anniversary of her death he’ll bring a thermos and two cups and sit at her grave and drink coffee and talk about how life is going
He misses his grandma very much
Elliott
Favorite thing: Pomegranate
He knew Leah before he moved to the valley
They’ve been best friends for years
He gets sick a lot and tends to forget to take care of himself sometimes
Leah has always made sure he was okay
She would bring him fruits and soup and make sure he was staying hydrated
One day she brought a few pomegranates
How the fUCK do you eat a pomegranate ??
Leah help me please for the love Yoba what is this weird ass fruit you’ve brought to me on my death bed
Once he actually ate some though, he could not get enough.
It was the first thing he could actually taste in days and it was so sweet and flavorful
He will not buy his own pomegranates though.
It has to be a gift or it’s not the same
Shane
Favorite thing: Hot pepper
Used to struggle with really bad anxiety
He would disassociate a lot
Struggled with mental grounding techniques
So one day is dad was like
Here son
Bite into this hot ass pepper
It was so spicy that it snapped Shane back into reality
He used to keep a ziplock bag of hot peppers in his pocket
Sometimes will still bite into one if he’s particularly going through it
One time gave Sam one at work and told him it wasn’t spicy
Sam cried in the bathroom for 20 minutes
Now Shane has to keep his waterbottles with him at all times because Sam puts weird stuff in them as payback
Alex
Favorite thing: complete breakfast
Alex never wanted to leave his room after his mom died
He would cry himself to sleep every night
He refused to eat with his grandparents
Evelyn would make him hashbrowns, eggs, and pancakes with a side of milk every morning
And would leave it in his room for him to eat when he was hungry
And would always stick a note on the tray reading “breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I love you always. Grandma.”
She never pressured him to do something he didn’t want to do
But ALWAYS reminded him that he was loved
Complete breakfast reminds him that Evelyn loves him no matter what
It will always feel like a warm hug
Abigail
Favorite thing: Pufferfish
When Abigail was little, Pierre and Caroline used to take her to the aquarium in Zuzu City
Her favorite was always the pufferfish
She felt like she could relate to them
Always keeping people at an arms length
Tough when she has to be
She used to collect pufferfish plushies
Does not actually eat them
She could never
But she likes how you can die from consuming them incorrectly
Kicking ass from beyond the grave
Haley
Favorite thing: Coconut
She actually likes the smell more than anything but is a sucker for coconut shavings on her desserts
She’s allergic to coconut
But it isn’t deadly
Emily used to use coconut body spray to hide the weed smell when she was in high school
Haley thought Emily was so cool
Will always remind her of when her and her sister got along better
Haley has a mean streak but is very sentimental
She’ll still tease Emily about it
Keeps a small bottle of coconut body spray in her room for when she needs to feel better
Will not admit to anyone ever about why she likes coconut so much
Penny
Favorite thing: Tom Kha Soup
Elliott actually introduced Penny to the dish
Penny and Pam had gotten into a particularly nasty argument which left Penny in tears
It was pouring but she needed out of the trailer
She went to sit on the docks to listen to the ocean until she calmed down
Elliott saw her sitting alone in the cold rain and invited her inside
He was just about to sit down for one of his favorites, Tom Kha soup, and gladly prepared a bowl for Penny
She had never been close to Elliott even though she saw him at the library often
The soup was delicious
And she was blown away by his kindness and how easily she felt comfortable talking to him
She tries to cook it (it’s terrible)
She always beings some to Elliott (he never comments on how awful it is, and politely accepts it)
(He throws it in the ocean when she’s gone though)
Emily
Favorite thing: Survival burger
Emily is a vegetarian
Her favorite food before she went vegetarian was cheeseburgers
Her first girlfriend showed her how to make burgers from eggplant
She is the one who showed Gus how to make them and season them properly to taste good
She got Haley hooked on them too
She’s lowkey one of those vegetarians that wants everyone to be a vegetarian
Her favorite recipe to show off because it really does taste like a frickin burger
Maru
Favorite thing: Rhubarb Pie
Maru really wishes that she and Sebastian were still close
As small children they did everything together
She looked up to her big brother
They used to play in the lake by their house during summers
She would always catch frogs. It was her favorite thing.
They would come into the cool house when the sun went down and lounge on the couch watching cartoons
Robin would frequently make Rhubarb pie for dessert
Maru and Sebastian loved it
They would eat it in front of the TV and joke around with each other
Rhubarb Pie still reminds her of those warm summer nights when her big brother was still her best friend
Leah
Favorite thing: stir fry
The first time she ever tried stir fry was right before she moved to the valley
Like literally her last meal in the city was stir fry from a restaurant around the corner from her old apartment
It was their only option that had mostly vegetables and oh my Yoba was it delicious
The day she moved was the most hopeful day she’s ever had in her life
New beginnings were terrifying but Leah knew everything would be okay
She always makes stir fry before she tries something she’s terrified to do
It reminds her that new things are scary but she can really do anything she puts her mind to

An Update
I’ve been a little absent on here recently, but I’ve been going through a bunch of life changes!
First, back in November I started crunching some numbers and realized my boss was not paying me the commission I had earned. Between that and the multiple ways that this clinic just does. not. work. for me as a practice, I knew I was going to leave at the end of my contract anyway. I decided to wait until after the holiday season to broach the topic with my boss. By early January, she owed me about $25k in commission. She told me I was calculating everything wrong, that it was illegal for me to send my numbers to my lawyer so he could check after me (spoiler alert, it’s definitely not illegal to do that), and that if I wanted to be paid that much then she would have to start firing support staff and she *cares* about those people. Mhmm... well that pissed me off to no end, so that night I applied for 4 different jobs and was offered positions at 2 of them by the beginning of February. I was all prepared for her to sue me when I broached the topic of leaving my position early (she had threatened to sue a previous associate over leaving 3 days early, much less 2.5 months early); however, she did not. I turned in my 60 days’ notice and my last day is April 18. I start at my new clinic on May 1 (or May 3, since May 1 is a Saturday and they probably won’t start me out on a Saturday with no other doctors there for my first day). This clinic is the complete opposite of where I am now. They have spectacular boundaries with the clients (things that are not emergencies do not get worked in if they don’t have any more same-day sick appointments available), are completely willing to fire clients for poor behavior, there is no on-call, I will work every 3rd Saturday (instead of working every Saturday except one each month), I will get paid a lot more, and their standard of medicine is generally much higher. The one thing that makes me sad is that it will be small animal only (and exotics, if I decide I want to dip my toes into that pool). However, I happen to be friends with the owner of the mixed animal (mostly large animal) clinic in the same town and he is going to let me ride along with him a couple of mornings each month so I can keep up my large animal skills. I have secured housing that is only 15 minutes from work and 10 minutes from Walmart and grocery stores/restaurants, while still being out in the country on private land with a private landlord, in my budget, on a well (so no water bill!) and literally within walking distance of the place I planned to keep my horse no matter where I ended up living.
Second, speaking of my horse... I bought that mare, Elara. She was over my budget but seemed absolutely perfect for me. I brought her home on January 30 and for a long time she was a completely different horse. Extremely herd-bound and anxious etc. It was too cold/too snowy/too muddy to do anything with her other than grooming for about 4 weeks, and then when I tried to ride her she was hot, sassy, and I was sure I was gonna get bucked off so I got off of her and then even struggled to lunge her because she wanted to take off. I kind of threw a temper tantrum on Facebook about that, because a horse that can’t be ridden and is herd-bound and anxious is not one that I want to own. I got some suggestions from horse friends for how to work with her, and enrolled the both of us in a professional virtual groundwork clinic. Since then we have both improved in our communication with each other. She has calmed down a lot and for my first real ride on her as her new owner, the barn owner where I am keeping her took us on an 80 minute trail ride up and down a difficult mountain trail and we both survived. There is no English riding around here, but the stable where I plan to keep her in the new place offers exclusively English riding lessons and training, so I hope to start taking lessons on her and competing in some local hunter/jumper type competitions this summer and work up to some BN/novice level eventing as well as take her on some trails. The property where I will be living backs up to some National Forest trails, and the landlord’s stepdaughter has a group of trail riding buddies and she’s willing to trailer the horse for me. Plus my best friend and her husband live about half an hour from where I’ll be living and they just bought their own horses to trail ride as well, so I hope to be able to ride with them too.
My relationship is doing well (I think). This move is about 95 minutes from where I’m currently living, but will only add about 20 minutes to our drive to see each other (picture sort of a triangle - here, there, and his place) so we plan to keep seeing each other. Plus, if he gets into medical school (which is his current plan) then my new place will be significantly closer to both of the medical schools where he’s had interviews so it will be easier for me to visit him on weekends. My mental health was pretty darn poor through January and February, partially because of S.A.D., but also just because of my job situation as a whole and how it went when I tried to confront my boss about not being paid what’s in my contract (not to mention the horse frustration). It is improving now that the days are getting longer and warmer, I have an “out” and something to look forward to, and working with Elara is getting much better. I have also finally restarted in therapy (my previous therapist was a grad student and graduated back in December) and this will be my first therapist who is not a grad student or involved in low-cost community-type work (not that there’s anything wrong with that - grad student and community therapists have helped me a lot but it’s nice to have a therapist that really wants to be there and can pick their own clients and determine their own client load).
Overall I think things are looking up and I am excited for what’s to come!
