AG Presents: The Time Of Day Tour - The Encore

General Information

After five long month's, NCT AG wrapped up their first world tour back in Korea with a three night run of encore shows

To really celebrate the ending of a huge moment of AG's career, the girls decided to make more work for themselves and change EVERYTHING!!!! The setlist, costumes, vcr's, the whole shebang.

As for the encore's story, The mech-shark from previous shows is back and has banished AG to the real world. The group has to travel across different dreams and collect more Dreamergy to get back to the Flat and destroy the shark once and for all

The show takes place over three days on November 4th, 5th and 6th. The beyond live was on the 5th.

While the group did change quite a few things, the stage set up, including the massive light rigged circle, did not.

VCR Info

Opening

The action kicks off as soon as the VCR starts. We're back in The Flat and Moxy gets thrown across the screen but she lands on her feet (Kindof like Black Widow). Hannah runs over and helps her up. "I though we took care of this thing."

Aurora flies by and ducks under the shark attacking dorsal fin, "We didn't really defeat it. We just sent our misplaced guests back home."

Up in the skies Juno floats on a metal disk keeping a watch on her friends, "Guys watch out. We gotta portal in coming." She jumps up and the disk transforms into surfboard. Juno lands safely and rides right into the fight. A sword appeared in mid air that Juno grabs. She plants the sword in the underbelly of the shark, slicing thru the underside of the shark just as a portal to the real world opened.

"JUNO!!" The other three girls screamed as they watched their friend fly right into the portal. The wind picks up, dragging all the girls off the ground and into the air. Moxy was able to grab ahold of a light post. Hannah flew past but Moxy grabbed her hand. Hannah grabbed Aurora out the air by the collar. For a moment the three girls held on but the winds current grew stronger and stronger.

Slowly, Moxy lost her grip on the light post, sending the three girls flying. One after the other, each girl gets pulled in as the shark roars in victory

Aurora, Hannah and Moxy land on the other side of the portal in normal clothes. They tried to jump back in but it closed too quickly. The girls heard a groan behind them. They ran over to help Juno stand.

"What do we do now." Hannah asked as the four girls stood in the empty alley where their way home stood inaccessible.

"I guess we go hunting for Dreamergy." Moxy turned around with her hand up. A black smoke engulfed her hand and shot out at the camera making the screen go black

AG ended up in the backstage of an arena once again. This time they stood in front of the lift as stage hands ran around them. Stylists were adding jewelry while makeup artist finished their final touch ups. A voice sounds from a walkie-talkie, "30 seconds till show time. Girls make your way to the lift."

A manager stepped up and guided the girls to their positions as the lights go down and the girls are lifted out of sight.

Rockband VCR

The girls walk into a garage set up with band equipment. Each of the members take a instrument.

Moxy takes Bass. Aurora sits behinds the drum kit. Juno grabs the lead guitar and Hannah steps behind the keyboard. Aurora counts them off with her drumsticks and the girls play a instrumental version a new song, Me Vs. The World.

The girls are rocking out when the camera cuts to a couple walking down the street. They look over and see that AG aren't playing real instruments, they're playing air instruments. The couple quickly walks away, shielding their faces.

Neo Got My Back VCR

Each of the members walk into the shot in outfits that represent the song they are performing. They stand together in the middle then a white flash obscures the screen.

When it fades out, AG are wearing outfits reminiscent of The 7th Sense music video

Solo Exchange VCR

A close-up on Moxy eyes as they open. the camera pans out while Moxy looks around. Finding herself on a sidewalk with a guy she doesn't know next to her. She stands in the same outfit the Juno wore in History.

The camera zooms back in on Moxy eyes. She blinks and we switch to Hannah who stands in small pool of water wearing. Aurora white outfit for On + Off

Zoom into Hannah's eyes. With a blink, we switch to Juno standing amongst a crowd of dancers in a crowded club. Juno looks puzzled while she wears Hannah's Let Me Get Me

With one more zoom and a blink, Aurora is on the set of Headphones in Moxy's white puffy jogging suit. Aurora shrugs at the camera. Unsure about what's happening.

Love Rollercoaster VCR

Quick scenes of the girls in happy relationships. Juno cooking in a kitchen, trying to avoid the tickling fingers her boyfriend. Aurora digging her cold toes into her partners thigh. Hannah eating dinner with her man as the sun sets. Moxy slow dancing in the living room with her boyfriend

A storm brews in the sky and a bolt of lightning strikes across the screen. Now the relationships aren't so happy anymore.

Juno is screaming, throwing plates and glasses at her boyfriend. Aurora crying, her face buried in her hands as her boyfriend yells at her. A single tear rolls down Hannah's face, realizing that her boyfriend is missing another dinner. Moxy and her partner standing in the living room screaming in each others faces.

Moxy keeps screaming as her boyfriends quiets. The camera circles them and focuses on Moxy face over his shoulder as a hand smacks across her face. Moxy falls to the ground holding her cheek. Shock in her eyes. The camera pans out and fades to black

Love Myself Mini VCR

the girls stand in a field tall grass in white outfits. The wind flows thru their hair.

Juno holds a broken plate. Aurora wipes away her tears. Hannah swirls around a glass of wine. the camera focuses on Moxy's bruised cheek. She smoothed her hand across her cheek and the bruise healed instantly

All four girls take a deep breath simultaneously as the camera flies around them and into the sky

Christmastime VCR

The girls walk around on a snowy street decked out in the winters finest. Around them families and couple play around in a winter wonderland.

Kids are sledding. Parents are making snow angels and snowmen. Teens are having a snowball fight. Couples are sitting together and sipping hot chocolate.

The girls stop in front of a snowglobe display window. In the center, illuminated by spotlights, was a huge snowglobe with a city skyline. White snow fell over the small city. On the base read the words Ncity.

The girls smile as snow begins to fall.

This video is shown once the girls go back stage at the end of the encore.

The girls stand in the alley from the beginning of the show. The each have a bottle of some pink liquid in their hands. Moxy looks from side to side before uncapping the bottle "Alright. Here goes nothing." All the girls chug the pink liquid. They all make faces at the taste but get it down with minimal gagging.

AG joins hands and a bright white light shoots out of their chests and weaves together, forming an arrow. The arrow dashes across the alleyway, flies up then dives straight down creating a new portal to The Flat. The girls celebrate, finally being able to make it home.

They walk through and come face to face with a sleeping shark. Moxy smirks, making a massive scythe appear in her hands. Around her, the other members also grab weapons to take down the shark once and for all.

The shark feels something tap his nose. The shark's eyes blink open to see AG standing before him. Aurora waves at him then takes her mallet and smashes his nose to pieces.

The girls proceed to destroy the shark that's been tormenting them and The Flat. Moxy cut off its fins before it could fly off. Juno cracked off his jaw open, leaving him with no way out. Hannah took the last blow, launching a missile at the sharks broken remains. Nothing was left except for scatter nuts and bolts.

The camera follows the smoke up to the sky and comes back down as the smoke clears. The girls sit on silver disk floating in the air, staring out at the peaceful Flat

"Its been awhile since we've been gone. We should probably get back before the boys worry and go looking for someone that isn't there." At Hannah's mention, the girls get moving.

Just as they walk to the edge of the disk, Aurora calls out

“Are we ready? For the future? Like what's in store for us?"

Moxy gestures for Aurora to come over. Once she’s in reach, Moxy pulls the younger into her side.

“We’ll never be ready for the future cause we’ll never know what's in store tomorrow. What I do know is with the four of us, I’m sure we’re ready for anything.

With that, one by one, they dive off the platform until only Moxy is left. Moxy turns around to face the camera and smiles. She winks before flipping off the platform following the girls into AG’s future

Outfits

Opening - The girls wear matching black leather outfits with platform combat boots and black cadet hats. The stars of this outfit were the customized leather jackets that had patches and trim in each members signature color

Rockband - This outfit was all about the plaid, graphic tee's and ripped up denim. The girls alternated between blue and green plaid mixed with denim jeans, tops and jackets.

Neo Got My Back - Each member wore outfits from their groups music videos but customized to their signature AG colors. Aurora wore the racing fit from the Hot Sauce mv. Hannah wore the red and white outfits from Phantom. Moxy wore her classic Limitless fit in green. Juno had a whole new outfit made cause the Boss Unit never performed Volcano. Her outfit was all black with an pink leather jacket and pink combat boots.

Solo Exchange - AG wore white/beige/light brown outfits. The pieces fit the girls performance of each others solos.

Love's Rollercoaster/Love Yourself - The girls were decked out in all white with silver accents. Moxy wore a pants suit with a sparkly sliver top. Hannah wore a white bell sleeve top with silver pants. Juno had a white dress with lace overlay. Lastly, Aurora wore a white high-low dress with a silver corset at the waist.

Finale - the girls ended the concert in white and green outfits. Once they got to Give It Up, The girls put on custom oversized varsity jackets with tons of patches to represent them and NCT

Christmastime - AG came back out in classic Santa dresses with Santa hats. They all had different necklines. Juno's was a sweetheart neckline without straps and a shawl over top. Moxy had a classic v-neck. Hannah's was a halter. and Aurora had a sweetheart neckline with a jacket overtop

Extra(s)

On the day of the concert, The AG Youtube channel posted the first of the many behind the scenes videos of the girls working with their staff planning the whole concert. Showing fans everything that has been released was planned in advance by the girls

netizens all over, while they've been enjoying the content, expressed concerns over the schedule. Especially now that they know AG juggled with the schedules of their various unit schedules as well.

TO celebrate the girls finishing their tour back in Korea, AG's Exhibition added outfits from the tour. The various screens around the space played performances from the Time Of Day Tour: Live in Los Angeles dvd

The AG staff hosted a dance competition with the fans. Fans were asked to get into teams of four and dance to a chosen AG title track. Whoever was chosen as the best group, their video would be posted to the AG Instagram and TikTok

The dress code for the both days of the concert was Neo Pearl Champagne. The girls wanted the whole stadium covered in green and they delivered once again.

Fans were not ready for how many changes the girls made. The encore was basically a brand new show. Twitter, or i guess X, was alight with users posting videos and updates for the whole two and a half hours.

After the opening vcr, The show started with the lights off. Smoke fills the stage. Very quickly, four white spotlights shined at the top of the stage. illuminating the smoke billowing across the floor. Taeyong's voice resonated across the stadium as he introduced the four members. With each name, the girls rose up from the floor.

Breakout kicked off the show with brand new choreography. This time AG added more step moves and they had a producer remix the song as well.

Second surprise: Ag performed Let Me Move You with choreography for all four members.

Out of all their solo/duo songs, fan were wishing to see Let Me Move You as a four members song and the girls delivered.

The next section included all of AG's rock inspired songs. Along with Ultimate and Breakout, for the first time, Shut Up and Dance debuted a rock version that really played up the guitar.

During the encore AG also debuted new songs they wrote while on the road. And up first is Aurora's

Our resident maknae wanted to write a song a la Avril Lavigne circa 2003. And that's how Me Vs. The World was born. Its a song about those days when the world won't let you win and you just want everyone to leave you alone until the days over.

in the middle of the stage a single mic rose from the floor. During the song, AG push and shove each other to sing into the mic while the other parade around the stage engaging with fans.

The crowd lost their MINDS when the members came out in their outfits for the NCT covers section.

Juno and Taeyong worked together on new choreography for Volcano. The singer wanted to do something new because all the fans have seen Boss.

To end this section, the girls decided to really show off and perform The 7th Sense. In a higher octave! Anyone who still said AG didn't belong in NCT were immediately silenced with this performance cause the girls KILLED! IT!!!!

AG wanted this encore to be about once in a lifetime stages. Performances that may never be seen again so any fan who was watching, online or in person, felt like they got their money's worth. So they all decided to switch solo songs by drawing straws.

Most fans rank Moxy above Aurora on their rapping skill but when stood on the stage and performed Headphones flawlessly, alot of people had to reconsider their ranking. (Like why rank them at all, theres only two of them.)

Hannah surprised everyone with the emotion she poured into her performance of On + Off. Her experience with contemporary dance really elevated the choreography

Out of all the members, fans praised Juno the most. It can be challenging to do a song with complicated choreography but Juno looked like she barely broke a sweat. The singers come a long way from her early days in NCT

In the next section, AG performs all their lower tempo love songs but with a surprise at the end. AG debuted the next two new songs written by them.

Say Ok was stripped down and reworked into an all acoustic track with Hannah playing the acoustic guitar on stage with them (Giving off early TSwift vibes)

After another vcr, the girls performed the new songs. Back To My Love and Body Talk both have a theme of loving yourself. More like learning to love yourself. Realizing you don't need anyone adding toxicity to your life

Moxy worked on both of the new songs. She did Body Talk with Juno and Back To My Love with Hannah.

In the finale, AG performed Give It Up. The version the group did for Queendom. AG decided to save the dance performance version for special occasions like their encore concert.

To end the show, The members decided to perform a new Christmas song along with their previously released one. The song, called The Perfect Christmas, was recorded while the girls were in California.

To celebrate the end of the tour, SM released two albums. The first was the live album that was recorded at their L.A show.

The second album was called Time Of Day: AG Presents. The album consisted of studio recordings the new songs debuted in concert. It was released in December, a week before Christmas.

The Perfect Christmas was added as a bonus track on streaming platforms. On Christmas Eve, AG's Youtube channel dropped the music video for the song. Where the girls are walking through a picturesque city during Christmas on their way to a holiday party with all the members of NCT (The og song is from the Cheetah Girls Christmas album just like AG's last Christmas song)

Nobu definitely !

1. He was the first friend I made when I got to korea and helped me get used to being a trainee and was always there for me

2. He's the most similar to me ig? With qiu and beomsu I have an older/younger brother dynamic and minju is so busy as leader he can't always hang out so nobu is the one I can rely on the most to just feel like a friend (I love them all tho)

3. He's naturally extroverted and I'm not so he helps me speak up and makes me feel included during filming !

Qiu : somehow got a surfboard and now he acts like he's a pro at it

Minju : under an umbrella with a notebook writing lyrics

Nobu : either looking for seashells/crabs in the sand or so far in the ocean you can barely see him

Beomsu : started building a sandcastle for fun which quickly turned into a competition between the members

Gerard, wearing Pullip Assa’s jumpsuit

2009ish, I went a bit crazy for doll-sized jumpsuits. Pullip Assa and a certain Petworks Momoko were the biggest reasons. No hope of getting the Momoko, but I managed to get some of Pullip Asa's stock outfit. I got the long-sleeved shirt, the jumpsuit, and her bag.

I'm still fascinated by these (screen printed?) "patches", with English phrases. (Pullip is made by Groove Inc, formerly Jun Planning, and is based in Korea, afaik.) Alas, this series of pics got cut from my flickr page, amid the purge.

Photo descriptions below the cut.

1- Gerard is a playline action figure that I acquired through a Canadian friend. (I regret trading my repaint and her awesome wig, but I still really love this guy.) At the time, I thought he resembled actor Gerard Butler. Aside from his great (almost too many!) joints, I really love his beard.

I think the line is called World Peacekeepers. (Maybe “Power Team”?) Andrea @dollsahoy knows that they're a very good line for customs. And yes, he's standing on his own, without shoes.

This jumpsuit is purposely baggy. It's even baggy enough to fit my "broad"-sized Ken. The striped shirt underneath is from an early-2000s Ken fashion pack, iirc.

Please note the backwards "music" design on the right-hand lapel. Or it could be a stylized "wazic" upside-down.

2- Portrait view. On the left-hand chest, a curved banner with the text "American" (all caps). On the pocket, a smaller version of the circular logo that's on the back of the jumpsuit. At this size, you can read PubblP Pullip in fancy lettering. The web address isn't easy to read.

3- A broad view of the legs. The close-ups in the next images show the designs better.

4- Right hip area. Above the waist line, near the side-seam, "Beach Deli 125[?] Pacific Coast Hwy Holister CA". Tiny letters are tough to read, so that might not be the correct number.

Below the waistline, there's a curved banner that follows the opening of the hip-pocket: "pullip" (all caps).

5- Along the outside seam, between the hip and cargo pockets, there's a strap-band thing? Idk, I think it's supposed to help hold Assa's tools in her pocket.

Just above the knee is a large cargo pocket. There's a pink-and-white star ribbon "tag" sewn in a loop on one side. The pocket's "patch" looks like a sign. "Neighborhood Watch" with a lady holding a surfboard. "Community of Hermosa Beach" at the bottom. All the text is in caps again. I just hate reading all-caps.

6- Left leg, viewed from the front. Below the hip pocket is a black cow (with udder; odd detail) on a yellow background. Next is a yellow square: "get wet" in large letters; "feet in san diego" in smaller text below that.

I can't read this next one. Tiny text, then "great takers?" in larger text. Can't figure out what that splotchy design is supposed to be.

"Best Male Performance", with a goateed guy in sunglasses.

Thin cargo pocket at the bottom of the pant leg, likely to hold Assa's screwdriver. "Trust me... I'm a director", again in all-caps.

7- Right sleeve. A blue number 6, no background. In black text, "t-shirts are played" in all caps, also with no background.

8- Backside, broad view. Guess I didn't photograph the "patch" on the left sleeve, oops. Back-torso design shown in next image. On the left butt-area, another number 6 and "want some action?"

9- Back torso. Shoulder banner with a "stitched" border and military chevrons. "082 N'ENG basic style"

Two curved bits above the circular logo, both say "American" but in different colors.

MCLUL 18

The episode starts where the previous one had left: either in Nath’s flat if you decided to follow Amber, or in Castiel’s if you didn’t. Either way, Candy goes to Nath’s place after Amber calls her and the same dialogue unfolds. Nath explains that he has been back in town for weeks because Erik, his cop friend, tracked him down as soon as he’d left and they are now working together to collect enough evidence to dismantle the cartel for good. He’s playing the bait (hence the traffic light-looking attire) and wearing a wire under his clothes. He leaves soon after saying that he will be back once he’s done with this dangerous mission.

The rest of the episode is mostly about university work, the last we will ever see. First, Candy practices her presentation with Rosa, Morgan and Alexy. We assist a fight between the two lovebirds that soon morphs into a sweet declaration of love. Later, Candy keeps practicing alone first and later with Yeleen (if you chose it).

We also attend Rayan’s final class. The first part is about the group work, each group reports their experience. I thought this whole group work sub-plot was going to lead to something, either a mini-arc for Chani, where she learns to be less of a perfectionist and shows her art to the world, or some kind of drama with Melody, or at least something important for the degree. It was all very tepid, almost as if the writers had changed their mind and dropped it from the plot. The second part of the class is, instead, about relaxation techniques in the park. Because it makes total sense in a modern art history course.

After all this, Candy goes to the café to tell Clemence she is going to quit soon. Clemence tells her to not rush into this decision because there’s no job for history of arts majors and she may end up having to keep working as a waitress (charming as usual, but also strangely nice?). Also, an improbable friendship is born when Clemence shows lots of interest in Chani’s magical aptitude.

That evening Nina sends a text saying she’s witnessed the cops arresting her assailant, and Candy and Priya have a discussion about Nath and what that could mean for him.

The day of the thesis discussion Candy is very stressed, but she finds Castiel outside the class and he helps giving her relaxation technique tips. She also gets a little spooked finding Rayan in the class (I don’t see why? Seems pretty normal to me). Anyway, time-skip to the end of the exam and Candy is pretty satisfied with herself. She even buys Chani a crystal as a thank you for her support and encouragement for her own exam.

In the evening Candy attends a party Hyun has thrown to celebrate the end of the academic year. She had also invited her parents and the illustration shows the moment she introduces the LI to them. Everyone except Nath. Having sneaked into the café’s kitchen, his illustration portrays the moment he tells Candy he’s finally free from the Cartel.

The episode ends in the middle of the party.

THE END

Now let’s go into more detail on everyone’s route:

Here, I’m saying it... Nath is always 100% bangable. Even like this, once the problematic leggings and the blinding yellow t-shirt are off, there’s really nothing to talk about.

I found the resolution of Nath’s route very anticlimactic, happening off screen. If Candy got somehow involved however, it would’ve probably been quite trashy and ridiculous so there was really no win in this crazy scenario. It just feels they dragged too long, only to create angst, something that they resolved with just a few words and no involvement on our part. If MCL is indeed ending in a couple of episodes, this was basically the main recurring plot-line of the whole season and it fell short, at least for me.

Him acting as a bait... let’s say it was fine, he showed some courage. But there are two things that didn’t make sense for me (in this episode): firstly, his explanation to why the cartel didn’t simply kill him, because they thought it was easier to pull off a mugging than a murder, especially if the victim was a snitch. REALLY? What does it even mean. These people were really kind drug lords: first hiring a young boy out of nowhere, then beating him up when they found out he had betrayed them instead of killing him, even giving him three days to say goodbye and skip town, and later exposing themselves enough letting him stay in town for weeks instead of killing him on the spot. Also, second thing, shouldn’t he have cut a deal with the police for his immunity BEFORE he helped them? They would’ve given him pretty much anything to shut down a whole drug cartel. I don’t know Nath, you should be so smart, at least get a lawyer next time.

A round of applause to Candy for spilling the beans with everyone about Nath’s dangerous and super-secret plan 👏👏👏

The reunion with Nath, if you are on his route, is cute and pretty emotional. She falls on the floor, overwhelmed, and he kisses her and reassures her. All this in front of Amber. The scene in the kitchen at the end of the episode, however, was a little less emotional than I would’ve liked. Especially the illustration, there was NO NEED to include Amber in it. 

I did appreciate the choice to not introduce him immediately to the parents, it really wasn't the right time.

Bae is particularly charming when he laughs and smile. Both a hottie and a cutie, he’s the whole package.

I think BV tried to apologise for the lack of Castiel’s content in the previous episode, because this time we had plenty, well... more than with had the others.

After the scene in Nath’s flat, he takes us to the dorms on every route, but if you are on his route you can choose to spend the night at his place. To find an excuse so they wouldn’t hook up, BV wrote that Candy feels dizzy and they just cuddle. She’s not dizzy on any other route, just tired. And now that I’m writing these words I’m having an AWFUL SUSPICION THAT I DON’T EVEN WANT TO WORD EXPLICITLY, please no... just no.

His relaxation technique was funny, pretending to be super confident, but if you’re his girlfriend he gives Candy a breathtaking kiss right before the final exam that ensures victory for both of them.

His meeting with the parents is super chill, my Candy and him were together in HS, so they remembered him and love him already, not sure if anything changes otherwise but I guess not. Philips goofs in front of him, dancing horribly joking that he should be on his next music video and they all laugh (except maybe Candy, but it’s a happy moment nonetheless).

Now, I left the bad part for last:

Yeleen touches Castiel’s arm while talking to him in front of the café on any route. Even if he’s not our boyfriend I wanted to clock her. B*tch there is a strict NO TOUCHING policy here. But when he’s our boyfriend I timidly told Castiel that the parents were coming AND I LOST 10 FREAKING POINTS!!! What. The. Hell. Should I fight with him too? I feel like I should. This requires a heated conversation!

The green dress is super hot, and Candy is a total snack, but she’s just one small accident away to show her nipples to the world. (Surfboard my ass, Castiel)

As usual there’s very little to say about Hyun’s route. He’s excited to meet the parents and doesn’t realise they were already there, so he keeps blubbering Candy about their summer trip and kisses Candy in front of them. When he figures out he gets bashful, but they all laugh it off.

Honorable mention to Philip for not knowing where Slovenia is. SERIOUSLY?? 

Look at this fierce power couple, it looks like they’re about to conquer the world or rob a bank. Probably both.

Was it the right moment to spill the beans about their relationship in the middle of a college party. No. But did I enjoy their power walk, hand in hand, in the middle of the crowd? YES.

The parents’ reaction could’ve been worse. Philip could’ve gone ballistic. We didn’t see the “man-to-man chat”, probably because it was a tricky one to write, it could’ve sounded either ridiculous or trashy. Kudos to BV for taking the coward way out and skipping the problem altogether.

Rayan said that he loved her and it was sweet. However, Candy talking about how much she's into him in front of Sweet Amoris knowing that that is my Lys account felt like being sucker punched.

Also, Rayan got a tenure track position. I. Hate. Him. (I’m not envious, not at all)

Priya tearing up when Candy tells her that she wants to be with her completely is probably THE MOST FREAKING CUTE THING I’VE EVER SEEN. Cuter than cat videos. (But less cute than duckling videos. There’s nothing cuter than a baby duck).

The parents are happy to meet Priya, zero drama in Candy’s coming out, I found it refreshing, I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed a bad reaction (even a short one). They even all dance together until late night. The illustration shows Priya accepting Philip’s challenge at a sort of dance-off.

A few final comments:

I didn’t understand aunty’s comments about a masked party at the end of the school year, is that a French thing?

Philip not knowing where Slovenia is, and Hyun having to explain that it’s an European country, makes me think that they’re trying to convince us the game is not set in France. Mph.

I also wonder where Hyun’s parents live exactly. It can’t be Korea since Hyun goes back home all the time, even just for a weekend.

Everything points out to the end of the story being about a new separation, everyone moving away to achieve their own future.

Alexy is probably going to follow Morgan to Washington.

Rosa is moving to the beach house (which is not very far, but not exactly in town either).

Yeleen is excited to live in London. (The girl is going to get a HUGE wake-up call the moment she realises that apartments here are tinier than her dorm room, quite bad and life is so expensive that (if she doesn’t want to accept money from her mother) with a tourist guide salary she’s probably going to afford only a tiny room, in the middle of nowhere, in a flat shared with 10 other people).

Castiel is going on tour.

Hyun will probably want to move closer to his family after the trip.

Nath may or may not go to jail.

Priya wants to go back to India to fight social injustice.

Rayan is the only one staying in town for sure.

I GUESS, after some angst about a possible separation and break-up, the series is going to end with Candy making a life choice that brings her closer to her crush.

Anyway, the end is coming and I’m sad.

Summer Nights and Pool Fights~ Lee Minho

This is the town that I based the landscape off. It’s kind of important to the descriptions. Also, I, ’m sorry for writing so many stories about the beach but it’s where I’ve grown up so my mind kind of goes there when I need a quick setting. Anyways enjoy the fic ^^. Also I promise to make this all look nicer when I get back from hiatus. Only 9 days this time!

My fingers felt like they were going to fall off and my brain was being fried within my skull from the hours I had spent trying to sight read a 17/8 time signature. Join the state orchestra, they said. It'll be fun. Fun my foot. I'd spent all day sitting in one of my college’s music rooms practising for a massive concert next month and I still couldn't get the last few bars of the flute solo down.

 It’s not that hard Y/N.

I know OK just go away I need to concentrate.

She’ll kick you out if you don’t get it down by next week Y/N.

I get it Ok! I’m trying just-

 “Y/N?” Then the door rattled. Dammit, Minho. You always pick the perfect time to make an entrance. I tried to ignore the banging on the door. “Y/N, I know you’re in there. Open the door.” He rattled the door again. “Please, your mom gave me some of her lasagnas to bring you!” I was at the door in seconds and unlocking it before he could say anything more.

 You lost to pasta again Y/N.

 “Y/N-”

 “Shh, no speaking, now where’s the pasta?” I held out my hand.

 “I knew that would work. Here,” he handed me a Tupperware full of my mom’s famous lasagna. I swear they should make like a black market where children can sell their mother’s cooking. I could make millions!

 “Now would you like to explain why you haven’t come out of this room the whole weekend? Seriously you know there are better places to practice than on campus, right? Like why would you willingly come back here?” He gave me a typical Minho face that said: really Y/N? You could be spending your weekends with your amazing best friend, but no you prioritize your metal tube over me. Oh, the horror!

 “I have my reasons!” I exclaimed, hitting him on the shoulder.

 “Name three decent ones.”

 “Alright, reason one: they have aircon in here and my fan messes with the sound waves.” He shot me another typical Minho look. ”I'm serious! It's a legitimate problem in the flautist community!”

 “Alright, alright, kind of I believe you. Now, two more reasons. Come on.”

 “I, um, yeah, um, ok! Stop looking at me like that. The concert is next month Minho! Did expect me to just sit and do nothing?” I exclaimed

 “No, I don't, but I do expect you to instil some basic self-care! You can't just lock yourself in a music room all long weekend from dusk till dawn and then every afternoon after class. You need a break. Believe me, I need one too. We have a competition next week but I don’t lock myself in the practice room! So, please let me take you out of this horribly decorated room and do something fun with your best friend.” It's not that I didn't want to it was just that I couldn't. I was new in the orchestra. I still wasn't technically an official member, which meant Mrs Walsh could kick me out whenever she wished.

 “Minho I can’t -”

 “Y/N I get it. You're scared. I mean I would be too with a conductor like Mrs Walsh, but you are one of the best flautists I know.”

 “I'm the only flautist you know” I deadpanned.

 “That's beside the point. You need a break.”

 “Okay let's say I agree to this madness. What are we going to do? It's not like we can just take a drive to some magical island in the middle of nowhere.”

 “Oh Y/N, you severely underestimate my connections.” There it was. That was the Minho smile. The very reason I walked up to him on the first day of high school, right after the English teacher found at least 15 paper aeroplanes stuck to the ceiling with increasingly cringy quotes from fanfic.

 “Don’t look at me like that. It makes me nervous!”

“Minho where are we going?!” He had dragged me back to my dorm, made me pack a bag and on top of that insist I leave my flute behind. “Ok no. I’m being serious where are we going. My room mate will kill me if I just run off to some random mountain reserve with a boy.”

 “Calm your farm Y/N. I talked to Yasmin and she said it was fine. We’re going on an adolescent adventure. You’ll look back on this weekend and think ‘wow how did I manage a whole weekend without hooking up with my drop-dead gorgeous best friend’” I punched him in the shoulder.

“Excuse me young one! That is the second time in the past two hours! Ugh, the disrespect for elders in today’s society. Honestly its horrendous” He said it in the most ridiculous British grandmother voice and I honestly would’ve loved to have laughed, but he didn’t need that sort of ego boost right now.

 “You are two months older than me! Come on let’s get going I don’t want to get to wherever we’re going at like midnight.” I picked up my backpack and a duffel bag full of clothes for the weekend and pushed him through the door.

 “Alright, alright, I’m going.” And then we were through the door and in his car. He started the engine and so began the two-hour road trip filled with musical classics such as Gee, Ring Ding Dong and of course Wolf.

“Minho, oh my god this place is amazing! What millionaire cousin are you hiding from me?” I walked through the front door right into the lounge which opened up onto a massive deck with the most beautiful infinity pool I had ever seen. The deck looked out onto the main beach down below. It was decorated in that classic beach house décor that was probably way older than both of us, but it was still gorgeous. The kitchen was small but had a coffee machine. Perfect, I can drag Minho out to watch the sunrise tomorrow morning and he won’t complain.

 The garden and downstairs were pretty spacious but upstairs was much smaller. The house was probably designed with an “all day at the beach then entertain all night and only use the bedrooms for sleep” kind of vibe. The first bedroom was obviously for kids, bunk bed, no aircon, barely any shelving space and was basically being used as a surfboard storeroom. Not. An. Option.

 Please let there be two more bedrooms, please.

 It’s not like I haven’t slept in friends beds before, but Minho was a different story. That smile wasn’t the only thing that drew me towards him on that fateful first day of high school. Can you judge me though? He was an attractive new guy who had just transferred from a school in South Korea. He was an amazing dancer and he could sing. He was any band nerd’s dream. So I may or may not have a massive crush on my best friend...

 I pushed back the thought and continued through the house. I had no idea where Mino was but he could manage ten minutes without burning a house down… hopefully.

 The next room was just a bathroom and the next a storeroom. Who needs that many beach balls? Then at the end of the hall was the main bedroom. Dammit looks like I’m sleeping on the floor.

“Y/N where are you?” Minho shouted from what sounded like the bottom of the stairs.

 “I’m up here,” and a few seconds later he was by your side throwing you a smirk. “Oh, fluff of. I bet Yasmin didn’t agree with this part of the trip.”

 “No, no she didn’t. I didn’t think it was important. Besides, I’ll just sleep on the floor it's fine.” He went to go pull a mattress off one of the bunk bed, but I caught the back of his shirt.

 “Nope, no way. There is no way I am letting you sleep on the floor.” He began to object “Uh uh, no buts, this one’s not negotiable.” And that was that. He knew by now that there was no arguing with me, not unless he wanted to be left to walk to class alone for a week. So he agreed but sulked about it the whole time we were unpacking the car.

 “So, what are going to do for food tonight?” I asked as we sat down on the grass next to the pool.

 “I don’t know. We could go down to the restaurant by the beach. The service is terrible but the food and the view make up for it. Unless you want to go down to the store to buy food and actually make dinner?” The house was on top of a hill that overlooked the beach below. The view was amazing. The lagoon mouth was open and although it was getting late there were still children playing in the granny pool beside it.

 “You know Minho, I’ve been coming here my whole life and I’ve never noticed this house before. We usually stay right down there near the main beach. The house has been in my family for ages.” The question at hand had drifted from my mind as I sat in awe of the small town’s beauty in the fading sunlight.

 “Well, this is actually my elder cousin’s house. He said I could use it whenever I want when I got to college, so last year I got a spare set of keys made and I come here with Jisung and Felix sometimes. But I did ask you about food.” He let out a soft chuckle. I pulled myself out of my trance and looked at him.

 “Oh, right. Sorry I completely forgot. It’s just so beautiful here.” We both started out at the ocean again.

 “Ok stop distracting me from the question! Are you trying to starve me Y/N?”

 “Ok yes. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Um, I don’t really feel like cooking if that’s OK with you? Plus I haven’t seen this place in a while and the beach is calling me.” It really was and I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to get there.

 “Ok, that’s fine. We can go now then!’’

We got to the restaurant and ate a casual dinner, nothing too fancy, and then we got some drinks and headed to the rocks on the side of the lagoon mouth. It was pretty cold at night during this time of year so we sat close to keep warm. It wasn’t unusual for us, but the dark and the beach and everything just made it feel weird.

We sat like that, in the dark, arms touching, looking out at the inky water and the reflection of the moon in it, for a while. We didn’t say anything and yet thousands of words were spoken in silence; without as much as a glance at each other.

It was weird to pull ourselves out of that silence, but we did it and were now walking down the, or rather up the hill to get back to the house.

You know Y/N you really are that idiot. The one thing we promised ourselves we wouldn’t do was to fall in love with the best friend. Now, look. You are completely and utterly whipped. No going back now. So what’s the plan? Are you going to confess in some stuttering mess of a sentence in some dark, ding music room or are you going to keep this from him for forever and die an old crazy cat lady with sixteen cats named Gerrald, Richard Parker, Isabelle-

 “So Y/N what’s the plan for tomorrow?” He nudged my shoulder lightly and pulled me from my thoughts.

 “Um, I don’t know. What do you feel like doing? I mean there’s not much else to do than go to the beach is there?” We got to the top of the hill and stopped to catch our breath.

 “Well there’s a waterpark like half an hour away or an amazing waffle place in the next town, but beach sounds good for the first day. The waterpark will be packed anyways.” We started walking again as it started to get colder.

 “Yeah, that sounds great.” I thought about it for a second and then added in my best Disney villain voice: “On one condition.” He almost looked nervous for a second but then slapped on a cocky grin before I could even remember what his face had looked like before.

 “Name anything; this weekend is for you.” Two could play at that game.

 “Ok then, I’m waking you up at six thirty tomorrow to go watch the sunrise.” Now he looked nervous again.

 “I mean um well. Come on Y/N we’ve been best friends for years is this really a necessity?”

 “Yes, Minho it very much is and I will drag you down this hill tomorrow morning if I have to. Thank you for a nice evening but I will now shower and then retire to the floor.” I let out a laugh and then started walking up the stairs.

 “You know you’ll have to deal with me the minute you get out the shower right.” He laughed with me as he started following me up the stairs.

 “Yes Minho, I do in fact realise that, but the fact that I have to see you does not mean I have to listen to you complain about a six thirty wake up call. Honestly, it’s not that bad you lazy ass.” I closed the bathroom door and locked it behind me. I wasn’t trying to be mean; I was just trying to have fun, but I’m bad at working out the difference so…

It was midnight and the floor was cold.

Why he thought that coming to the beach in the middle of autumn was a good idea, I might never know.

At least we haven’t said anything stupid in at least an hour Y/N.

I’ve been asleep!

Yes but we can say stupid things in our sleep Y/N.

Ok no, not listening to you anymore. Goodnight.

It was now half past one. The floor was still cold.

Unless we plan on getting a cold Y/N, we have one option.

What can a cold do to me, come on?

It can turn into a chest infection and then a lung infection and then wow look Y/N can’t play the flute anymore and oh look again we’ve been kicked out the orchestra.

 I went to go shake Minho awake. Giving in to the voice in my head was something I was trying to get better at but it still didn’t work that well… most of the time.

 “Come on Minho please wake up!” He was usually a light sleeper, but he was probably doing this just to spit me. “Lee Minho I know you’re awake.” I waited a minute and then gave in to his plan that I knew was most definitely churning in that stupid, amazing brain of his. “Fine, ok, the floor is cold. Please, can I sleep with you?” He smirked but kept his eyes closed. “Not like that you pervert!”

 He stirred, opened his eyes and then sat up and said: “Ya sure. I knew you’d give in eventually. No one can resist this face.” He smirked at me again and batted his eyelashes.

 “Oh, would you shut up and move over.” I wanted it to come out a bit sterner, but I ended up laughing as he pouted at me and scooted so he wasn’t hogging the entire bed to himself. I turned to look at him and, in the most loving tone I could muster for one am, said: “Goodnight idiot.”

 “Goodnight my bestest most loving friend forever.” We both burst out laughing (even though it was a pretty terrible joke) and fell asleep just like that, heads nearly touching but not. Toes tangled by instinct to keep warm. My heart wouldn’t calm down. I thought I might have a heart attack in my sleep. To anyone else (including me) it would have looked romantic. I secretly hoped Minho thought so too.

 My internal clock woke me up at six. I had gotten used to waking up to practice and then going straight to lectures and then going straight back to practice.

 I was about to sit up when I noticed it. Minho’s arm slung over my waist and his head ever so slightly snuggled into my side. I got such a shock when I saw it that I jolted. He started to wake up and I started to panic.

 Oh we’ve really done it now haven’t we Y/N.

“Mm Y/N?” Oh god.

We spent the day at the beach, eating chips and drinking whatever was cheapest. We messed around in the water and read on the sand, but something was always a bit off.

 “I’m sorry about this morning Y/N. I don’t know what happened.” We were walking down to a different beach to go watch the sunset. I had compromised with Minho after this morning’s antics.

 “It’s fine Minho, it was cold. Body heat you know?” I let out a nervous laugh and looked over at him. It was fairly light out, as the sun was just starting to disappear under the horizon. I didn’t know if it was a trick of the early morning sun or if that was actually a blush I saw dusted on his cheeks. “Minho seriously, we’re friends it doesn’t matter. Come on stop looking so embarrassed. If anything it should be me blushing I mean I was the one-”

 “I am not blushing!” He whipped his head towards me and glared.

 “Ok sure mister ladies man.” It was like a whole different person. Minho was never like this. He was always the loud cocky one at the college parties, flirting with all the girls and then passing out on my couch after one to many jager bombs.

 Today he was like a teenage boy going through puberty who had a crush on his older sister’s best friend.

 He likes us back Y/N

 “Omg Y/N! It’s beautiful.” He was right. The sun was halfway under the horizon and had turned the few clouds in the sky the most breathtaking shade of pink.

 “Ok who are you and what have you done with my best friend.” It was both weird and strangely endearing to see Minho so excited about a sunrise.

 “What’s so wrong with a guy liking the sky.” I chuckled.

 You’re whipped Y/N.

 “There’s nothing wrong with a guy liking the sky. I just never pinned you for a sky guy.”

 “Y/N I am shocked, I am such a sky guy.”

 “Ok, no more sky guying. Come on let’s sit down” We both laughed together and as we sat laughing on the sand I realised that this had been the most constantly happy I had been all year.

 “Oh, would you shut up!” I immediately clasped my hand over my mouth. Minho looked at me with a look that was somewhere between completely shocked and hurt. “Minho I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to say it out loud. Oh, wait no that’s not what I meant. Um… I’m sorry I was just. I um, I-”

 I told you not to screw it up Y/N

 I could feel tears starting to form in the corners of my eyes. Minho was still looking at me with that face. I couldn’t speak.

 Why now! It was going well! You ruin everything.

 I broke down. I was so sick of this stupid voice in my head and now look what it had done. Why couldn’t I just turn it off? Why did it have to-

 I felt arms wrapping around me and pulling me into someone’s chest.

 “Shh, it’s ok Y/N. You’re ok.” I didn’t understand why he was always so selfless. Behind that stupid ego of his, he was just my best friend.

 I don’t know how long we sat on the beach like that. The sun ha set and it was dark outside by the time I lifted my head from his chest and tried to speak but he stopped me.

 “Before you make some bullshit excuse and say you’re fine, you’re not and you are going to tell me what’s going on in that brain of yours because I am tired of seeing the person I love suffer.”

 See look it’s-

 “Please just be quiet,” I whispered into Minho’s chest once again.

 “Y/N please tell me what’s going on. You’re really starting to scare me.” I looked back up at him and the worry in his eyes had my heart crumbling into dust.

 “I just- I don’t know Minho. I just can’t get it to be quiet and it ruins everything.” He looked scared. I hated it, but I didn’t know how to explain it.

 “What won’t be quite Y/N?” I pointed to my head. Realization washed over his face, then understanding and lastly sadness.

 “What does it say” It was barely a whisper. I shook my head. I didn’t want to say it aloud. It made it seem too real. It already at too much power over me, it didn’t need this.

 “Please, can we just go home Minho? I’m fine. I dealt with this since like Grade 8 and I’ll deal with it some more. Just please can we go home.” I hated sounding this needy, but I didn’t want to talk about this now or ever. It was something I dealt with by myself or not at all. Minho did not need to be dragged into this.

 “Y/N I can’t just-”

 “Yes you can Minho and you will. We’re not talking about this. Not in the dark on a beach. Maybe somewhere else and in the far future but please, please can we just go home.” He slumped and gave in. He stood up and bent is legs and gestured with his head as if to say hurry up and get on. I’d didn’t I just looked at him, confused.

 “What? Come on I have to be a good friend in some way tonight. Get on.” And so I did. It was weird but not in a bad way. I felt like a kid. It was…nice?

He somehow carried me all the way home, even up that godforsaken hill. We got inside the house, after fumbling with the keys and giggling for a good five minutes, but he didn’t stop there. He ran through the lounge, me still on his back, and opened the sliding door. He headed towards the pool.

 “Minho what are you doing!” He liked back at me and smirked. He put me down and I made to run but he caught the belt loops on my shorts. “Minho seriously what are you- ah!” He had picked me up in his arms and was carrying me towards the pool. “Lee Minho I swear on my flute’s well being if you dare!” He dangled me over the pool.

 “Are you going to talk yet?” I didn’t say anything. I just glared at him and in return, he loosened his grip on me.

 “Minho stop!” I clung on to him.

 “Talk or swim Y/N, the choice is yours.” He shook me as if he was trying to emphasise his point.

 “Minho, you can’t be serious!” He didn’t look at me only at the pool which was dangerously close to my legs. I realised how he was holding me and a blush crawled up my cheeks.

 Just admit it to him already Y/N.

Not now!

He knows about me now; no point in hiding it Y/N.

Oh, shut up.

 “I am being dead serious Y/N. Talk or swim!” I tried to splutter out anything to try to change my mind but all that came out was an incoherent babble.

 “You chose…wrong!” And with that, he threw me in the pool. The perfectly heated water enveloped me as I felt all my clothes get wet. Thank God for beach holidays where the taking off your costume isn’t an option. I took off my wet top and pants and threw them on the side of the pool.

 I came up to take a breath and saw Minho take off his shirt and bolt towards the pool. He canon-balled into the pool; nearly landing on me in the process.  He disappeared in the inky dark of the water, none of the pool lights were on, I mean we didn’t exactly plan on using the pool other than to wash off the sand.

 “Minho, where did you go?” I couldn’t tell if my laugh was out of nervousness or joy. It was so weird. Maybe half an hour ago I was sobbing into his chest trying to keep this stupid thing out my head and now here we were, just stupid kids again. The same Minho who would contemplate the art teachers seeming immortality is the same Minho who had gathered me in his arms and just been there. The same Minho who convinced me to flirt with the lunch lady was the same Minho-

 “Ahhh!” He had come up underneath me, grabbed my legs and launched me in the air. “What the hell was that for!?” I tried to stare him down but he just laughed.

 “Because I think you needed to smile.” He grinned at me, so I splashed him. He splashed back. And so began a five-minute wrestling match. I won, but I think he would have disagreed.

 “Ok, ok,” He puffed out, he looked out of breath, “Now tell me what was going on with you back at the beach.” He had swum right up close to me.

 “Minho do we have to talk about this right now? Can’t we just be two friends in a pool on a spur of the moment holiday?” His face contorted.

 Ughhhhhh, what have I said this time.

 “Is that all I am to you Y/N, a friend?” I had no idea what he was asking. Was he implying something? Or was he just being Minho?

 “I don’t know what you mean Minho.”

 “I mean what I said. Is that all I am to you and am I really that bad at trying to show you that I might want more?” Ok, so he was impling something. Oh my god, he was implying something.

 “WH-what?” I spluttered out.

 “I like you OK Y/N? And I hate seeing you like this; beating yourself down when you’re the most talented, most amazing, most beautiful human I know!”

 “Minho, I, um, I- I just don’t know what. Oh screw it!” It was now or never. I knew I’d never get a chanc like that again so I just, kissed him. And it felt freaking amazing.

  Let’s just say Mrs Walsh was very surprised at how well I played at the concert.

Surf’s Up Restaurant & Surf Shop

Aloha, Seoul!  Get ready for ‘Ono Grinds in Apgujeong.  Surf’s Up Restaurant and Surf Shop in Apgujeong has been around since I started working in the area back in March 2017.  Back then I had a vested interest in Hawaii and the laid-back life.  I popped in to check out their menu, but at that time they were only serving desserts and craft beer.  A bizarre combination, to be sure, but I loved the calm, elegant interior and the chill vibe there.  A couple of weeks ago I walked by and saw a pop-up sign advertising pub grub.  We had to pop in for lunch!

Since it’s a Hawaii-themed surfer’s oasis, Surf’s Up in Apgujeong uses lots of wood paneling.  Exposed walls and ceilings create an industrial vibe softened and accented by surf boards and ocean vistas throughout.  In addition to the cafe, Surf’s Up operates:

Surf’s Up Menu

The menu at Surf’s Up lacks focus insofar as the food is pretty basic with a hint of Hawaiian flavours.  You definitely won’t find poke on the menu.  There are 5 kinds of hot dogs, and they seem more American-style than the sweet corn dogs they tend to make up here.  We didn’t give them a try.  On a more adventurous day I’ll let you know if the Cheese Chili Dog is Coney Island-worthy or just sweet cheese from a gun.  The menu seems to have been run through Google Translate, but has some pretty reasonable items.  Having mistakenly paid $8 for an iced Americano across the street from Surf’s Up, these are very welcome price points for the area!

Mac N’ Cheese Balls

If macaroni and cheese is on the menu then it’ll be a must-try for me!  I’ve been pretty disappointed recently by macaroni pasta salad in Jeongja and toxic-waste coloured macaroni in Gangnam.  Surf’s Up served up their mac n’ cheese balls (KRW 6,000) with a light breading, a creamy drizzle, and a fresh Marinara sauce full of parsely.  The Marinara may have stolen the show as a perfect pairing.  It wasn’t overly rich or thick.  It tasted as though the chef had smashed up a bunch of tomatoes, onions, and parsely that morning and let it marinate so it would be perfect for our lunch.  I probably should have stopped there, but at such low prices we thought portions would be smaller!

Grilled Buffalo Chicken

While this portion looks pretty small, it was definitely filling.  The grilled chicken was tossed in a tangy sauce which reminded me more of  a pineapple and teriyaki bbq sauce than Buffalo.  With chunks of bell pepper, broccoli, pineapple, and caramelized onions it was a mean in and of itself.  I think I’ve found my new go-to meal in a pinch by work.

Beef & Cheese Sandwich

KRW 10,000 in Gangnam won’t get you too much, so we were surprised at this super loaded, toasty, grilled cheese sandwich.  A dug right in and loved the meat and cheese combo.  I didn’t give it a try, but A told me I should 100% get it the next time we stop in.  Just look at all that ooey-gooey cheddar cheese!

I wish I knew what kind of coffee beans they use at Surf’s Up.  The latte and Americano had a floral aroma and a smooth and sweet taste.  After mac n’ cheese and chicken, I had no room for salad.  Underneath the veggies and Greek dressing there was actually a good amount of Feta cheese.  The salad came with two crusty and squishy pieces of sourdough – another rare find in Korea!

Surf’s Up Surf Collection

On the 2nd floor of the building you’ll find some great gear!  Surfboards, wet suits, and beachwear are displayed in the airy, loft-style space as well as online.  Looking online the wet suits seem to be as reasonably-priced as the food.  Boards are all around 2,150,000.  Tops start at KRW 39,000.  They even sell surf wax on site for KRW 4,000.  I’ve only surfed once in Tofino, British Columbia, but Surf’s Up makes me want to trip out to Yangyang!

Getting to Surf’s Up Restaurant & Shop in Seoul

I work between Apgujeong and Apgujeong Rodeo stations, so I pass this place on my way from the gym to school in the morning.  For those treating this as a destination, head to Apgujeong Rodeo Station and take Exit 5.  Walk 2 blocks (past the MAC Cosmetics and Lululemon stores) and take a right.  Surf’s Up will be in the 4th block across from FIFTY Cafe.  You might not get lei’d, but it’s definitely a great spot to relax and unwind (or get lit before Monkey Beach)!

i have a terrible memory so i would question the validity of me knowing these things, but topics i’ve had to look up/research: way too many details of both the train and bus systems of the greater los angeles area, the regions of socal with the biggest asian-american populations, the history of the electric guitar, how the indie music scene came up in south korea and its current venues, random facts about sound compression, enough about solo climbing to make me respect the crazy fucks who actually attempt it, what lube is actually made of, how babies actually acquire language, the thermodynamics of waves, what surfboard wax is made of and its application techniques, how sythns and samplers are made, what makes a house plant an appropriate house plant, the cosmology course offering at ucla.
