Rabbimiz! Bizi doğru yola eriştirdikten sonra kalplerimizi saptırma, bize tarafından bir rahmet bağışla. Hiç kuşku yok, lütfu bol olan yalnız sensin. (Al-i İmran/8)

I got this in my app for tracking prayers and notify me when it's time to pray.
They send these once a day, and how I understand it if you just say something 100 times, you're granted God's forgiveness and mercy.
To me, this looks like a "fast lane" to salvation. Is this within Islam, or something added in later for different reasons?
Welcome back 🌹💙.
I am honored to respond to your query by my own efforts rather than by referring to books. I am not limited in my ideas. On the contrary, I float mentally in the Kingdom of God.
The Book of God is more reliable than hadiths and sheikhs. If remembering God a hundred times forgives sins, we will continue to sin and injure others around us on a daily basis, then we will remember God a hundred times.
Can the mind tolerate this nonsense?
Most Muslims do not know the differences between sin, disobedience, bad deeds and wrongdoing.
Dear follow your heart
The Book of God mentions duaas like the one you sent, which may surprise you.
Duaa must be followed by action to be complete.

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says:
🌺 ❛(1) Those who spend [in Allah’s Cause] in prosperity and in adversity, (2) who repress anger, and (3) who pardon men — verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun.❜ 【Surah Ali Imran 3:134】
🌺 And (4) those who, when they have committed faahishah or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins — and none can forgive sins but Allah — and do not persist in what [wrong] they have done while they know.❜ 【Surah Ali Imran 3:135】
This a famous paragraph in the Qur’an where Allah gives us the descriptions of al-Muttaqun, the people of taqwa:
🌿 (1) They spend in Allah’s cause during both easy and difficult times 🌿 (2) They suppress their anger 🌿 (3) They forgive others 🌿 (4) When they made an error, they immediately remember Allah and seek His forgiveness 🌿 (5) They do not persist in that sin
The first 3 characteristics refer to our dealing with others, while the last 2 refer to dealing with our own shortcomings. But notice that just after the third characteristic, Allah says: ❛Allah loves al-Muhsinun (the people of ihsaan / excellence).❜
A Muhsin is a person of ihsaan, of excellence, who goes beyond the call of duty solely to seek the rida of Allah.
You’re not sinful if you don’t spend in Allah’s cause when you yourself are in difficulty. You’re not sinful if you’re angry with someone who has mistreated you. You’re not sinful if you decide not to forgive someone who has wronged you.
But the one who helps someone else who’s in difficulty, even though he himself is in hardship is a muhsin. The one who suppresses his anger so much that people aren’t even aware of his anger is a muhsin. The one who can forgive others is a muhsin.
Being ihsaan towards people is often tiring, and often very difficult. So perhaps this is one of the reasons why Allah says right after: ❛Allah loves al-Muhsinun.❜ As if to say, yes it’s difficult to give, yes it’s difficult to suppress that anger, yes it’s difficult to forgive, but do it because you want to be a muhsin, do it because you want to be loved by Allah. And what greater love is there than attaining the love of Allah subhana wa ta’ala.
Be reasonable. Put on your akhirah lens, and choose your battles wisely.
