I'm not sorry for saying this. Tyler Hoechlin is the perfect Clark & Superman. Bitsie Tulloch is the perfect Lois Lane. Superman & Lois has done so much in its woefully short run (only 4 seasons of this show is a crime). "A Regular Guy" pays homage to the comics the Donner film an more. Yet it establishes new cannon, like it has for the prior seasons. We see our Clark & Lois further along than any other media. We see them deal with raising powered teens. In this ep we see the family choosing to go public. It was such a powerful episode. The cinematography was outstanding as well!

Why are they giving the Superboy position to Jon so easily? I know he's the one playing Superboy in the comics, but Jordan has been using his powers for longer. Even Jordan gave his costume to jon!

DAVID RAMSEY DIRECTS – Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and General Lane (Dylan Walsh) are both having a hard time giving Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) room to make her own decisions. Meanwhile, Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) have a run-in with an old friend at the diner. Lastly, Natalie (Tayler Buck) has a surprise visitor.

One of the writers for the Superman book, (I forget their name) but they gave us one of the best descriptions of Lois I’ve ever heard. (i’m paraphrasing) “Clark Kent sees Lois Lane the way the world sees Superman.” Which is so perfect because Lois Lane is Clark Kent’s Superman. He is in awe of her from the second he meets her.

It could definitely be argued that Lois Lane is meant to be the embodiment of humanity itself. So, it makes perfect sense that Superman who spends his time fighting for humanity, would fall in love with the woman that embodies it so perfectly. Because at the end of the day Lois Lane is so completely and genuinely human. And that is why she is the only person who can keep Clark grounded.

In the CW show “Supergirl” there’s a scene where Clark is talking to Kara and he tell her the no matter what he’s up against he is always fighting for Lois. Lois Lane is what makes Clark Kent Superman. Without her, he could still be able to become a hero sure, but he wouldn’t ever become Superman. That is why the Lois and Clark relationship is so incredibly important to every version of Superman. as Richard Donner once said “If you make the love story work, everything else will fall into place.”

There is no Superman without Lois Lane.

i 100% believe every single adaptation of superman should be judged for accuracy based on how well they understand just how completely unhinged lois lane is as a person. because if you think THE lois lane wouldn’t do [fill in the blank], you’re wrong. she absolutely would do that and she will not be apologizing for it. superman being in love with her only succeeded in making her more comfortable and willing to do insanely dangerous things than she already was. because yes, she will 100% launch her body off a skyscraper just to prove a point. and guess what, idiot? she was right, so it was completely worth it and she will be doing it again. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, lois lane is absolutely bat-shit crazy. clark just happens to be really REALLY into her particular brand of crazy. like there is nothing lois won’t do with the right motivation. she is an absolute force of nature and that should scare the shit out of you.

Just watched the series finale of Superman and Lois tonight. It was okay until the damn "All Clarks Go To Heaven" moment when they fast forward to Superman entering the afterlife. They got nonsensically sappy and made some weird choices that really spoiled the moment.
