God, I did not expect to love the EclipsexEaps!Sun ship as much as I do, but something about Eclipse's world-weary, bitter worldview juxtapose next to Sun's anxious, silly, whimsical (if not a little bratty) self is just so endearing to me.

Eclipse jumping after Sun when he fell into the portal when he could've just let Sun fend for himself. Eclipse referring to Eaps!Sun as 'His Sun'. Sun trying to understand Eclipse, trying to understand why Eclipse is the way he is, but also not forcing or trying to guilt Eclipse into telling him Sun's "I would just like an answer, a reason for why it is, and I'll respect it no matter what you say." and "You don't have to, it is your choice" and Eclipse finally opening up is such good shit.

I also love that Moon tried to distract Sun from his Foxy obsession by telling him to go see Eclipse. Headcanon that Moon is trying to play matchmaker.

And maybe Eclipse comes to his dimension cause he's just kind of exploring dimensions, and first SSun is spooked cause Eclipse, but he realize it isnt the lord and realizes he's kind of nice so he traps him and keeps him cause he's so lonely and just haskins of lost his mind. Obviously Eclipse isn't very happy about this but he's going up against an insane Sun with a star, what is he going to do?

And SSun still kind of sees him as his lord and has a very unhealthy attachment towards him cause he looks and sounds like his abuser but he's actually nice. And Eclipse doesn't relaly want to be there but he doesn't have much of a choice. Idk maybe Stockholm syndrome too

Eclipse crawled up Sun a little and wrapped his arms around Sun's thin waist. He laid his head against the sunny bot's stomach. "That's not exactly something I'd want to share with him. He says he hates you, but he may hate me even more because in a small way… I'm the Eclipse who won. Even if I lost the star and didn't go through with his plans… I have you." His black and red fingers slid down the small of Sun's back. "I have a place in the celestial family. I found a safe haven he could only fantasize about. And even if he's forgiven and allowed to stay…I… I would never share you with him." Sun wrapped his arms around Eclipse and held him close. "I would never ask that of you. If I know nothing about…" His voice hitched with the depths of his feelings. "Eclipses… you never have much." He felt the fingers tighten imperceptibly around his waist. "And what you do have; you have a hard time sharing. Because you're afraid of losing things if you hold onto them too lightly." He leaned down to kiss his lover's topmost ray. "You and I couldn't be closer. Not even if we shared a frame again. You're mine Eclipse." He said firmly. More sure of his words then anything he'd said in a long time. He bent himself almost double, curling his naked body around Eclipse. As if he could somehow protect the other from the insecurity that constantly chewed at his mind. "And I'm yours." His tone was soft and deep. The words were cliche at best, but they came from the core of Eclipse. "For better or worse? Richer or poorer? Broken and repaired?" Sun smiled softly. "Forever and ever. I promise."

I just love Eclipses and their comfort Suns

Main dimension Eclipse is all clingy to Sun, getting pissy whenever anyone gets close and always holding hands

Solar's Sun helps him relax and not kill himself overworking

Lord Eclipse just refuses to let Servant Sun leave his side, grabby and just as clingy as main dimension Eclipse but in a more possessive way

This is the Eclipse design for my au where he was exploring dimensions and found a dimension where a servant sun snapped and killed his Eclispe, and the wither storm ended up killing the rest of the world so he's the only one left. And he traps Eclipse because he's lonley. Its kind of a really dark au- I've like purposely not thought too hard about it because the kind of vibe I have for this au makes me sick <3

Eventually tho he does get to go home and his bfs (nexus and solar) help him heal

Also!! The crack in his ray was an accident from Nexus, and he refuses to let Sun fix it because he wants that memory of Nexus. Even if it kind of hurts to touch and aches a lot
