June 18th, 2024 | I'm back from a two-weeks summer school in Milan! While I enjoyed it a lot and especially the social aspect of it (yes, I said what I said) it also made me realise I'm way too old to be sitting in a classroom all day for 10 days in a row 😂 I was pleased with how my schedule spread turned out in my bujo though, and with a bit of delay I finished my travel journal for this trip!

AAAAHHHH SUMMER SCHOOL WHY ART THOU SO MEAN?? School is giving me a sense of purpose this summer and I plan to PASS THIS CLASS W AN AAAAAA+. Art is thinning but I’m determined to fill out this sketchbook by the time school rolls around!! Acadec and all that scholarship money I will get you!!

Just a few more weeks of accelerated Latin, and I'll have proved to myself that I can do it. Then, onto French in the new year.

My mom's copy of Wheelock is seriously coming in clutch.

She bought it with the rest of her textbooks in 1986 - what would $85 even be in 2024 CAD? Talk about a haul.

June 3rd, 2024 | First day back to class for a Summer School in Milano 🇮🇹 Very interesting so far, I'm socializing both in English and Italian (!!), + I get to take pretty notes and make aesthetic schedule bujo spreads again ah (more to see soon-ish!)

question for graduate and upper students: if you've attended a summer school, what did you take with you?

I'm going to a summer school for graduate students but i'm not exactly sure what/how to prepare and/or pack? I'll just be staying at home and commuting so this isn't about toiletries, clothes etc.

Back when I was growing up, school was still in session REALLY LATE into the summer because of the powerful King's Dominion theme park lobby didn't want school starting until after Labor Day.

Li'l Billy's handwriting is TOMMY'S FIRST ALPHABET mixed with ACKI PRESCHOOL fonts. Sure, he's wicked book-smart but still lacks fine motor skills like most five year olds.
