HANZO SHIMADA WAVE SKIN

Since it's time for an Overwatch 2 Summer games event, i made this portrait of Hanzo (i absolutely LOVE this skin, it gives me so much summer vibe) the waves on the backround made in a special style, so that Hanzo's figure could be more contrast ad visible

Okay so I'm taking inspiration off a Bluey episode "the pool" with the Shimada family and if you want to know the reasoning its based off a small headcanon I made for Rumiko Shimada.

Also Summer since is arriving quickly here for Canada and I thought it would be funny if Hanzo and Genji acted like Bluey and Bingo.

Summary: a first date with hanzo.

Hanzo never thought that he would find love again. Although, he hadn't been looking as he had been busy with his clan and the weird time shift that resulted in his past coming back. He never thought he would find someone. He thought he would have been on a date with someone again. He panicked at the thought of messing things up. Maybe he said the wrong thing and you wouldn't be interested anymore. What if he did the wrong thing and suddenly you disliked him? He took a moment to breathe in and out. Slowly. He pushed the thoughts away and concentrated on his breathing. Things would be just fine. He could do it. He knew that he could. If you disliked him, you wouldn't have asked him out. If you weren't interested, you could have left. Well, you still could leave, but you wouldn't have stayed long enough to ask him out. You liked him, and he liked you. Panicking would get him nowhere. He continued to sit and meditate, taking the time for himself until he was ready to leave. He knew exactly what to do. 

He stepped into his bedroom and took the time to shower, make himself look and smell nice, before he put on the nicest outfit he owned. He looked once into the mirror, staring at his own reflection. No thoughts were in his head. He was not going to be bothered by his thoughts. He gave one nod and headed out. He met you in the gardens of the Shirai Ryu.

You had found his clan only by accident, you weren't familiar with the land, and you didn't mean to wander into there. Hanzo had welcomed you to the Shirai Ryu, and seeing as you were harmless, he allowed you to stay. He did keep a close eye on you, however, as he didn't want you to be secretly a danger to the clan. He did manage to find a way for you to go back home, but instead, you had decided to stay. He did teach you how to fight and allowed you to train with the clan, as he wanted you to stay safe. You were the one who asked him out, and he hesitated for a moment. He didn't know what to say. He hated that moment. He should have said something. Anything, but he didn't. He hadn't been expecting that question. He had left and laid awake that night thinking about what you had asked. He felt terrible that he didn't give a reply. The next day, you apologized to him, and he apologized for his behavior but agreed on a date. He met you in the gardens and offered you his arm. You took it, and together, you walked to the place you had picked out. Hanzo had fully planned to pay for it as he made some mistakes when you asked him out. It was his payment to you.

You sat across from him at the restaurant. You both ordered and took the time to get to know each other better.

When the date had ended, he walked with you back to the clan. He gave you a hug and a kiss, agreed to another date, and headed off to his room to sleep. You smiled happily as you stepped into your room and closed the door behind you.

Notes: It’s been a while. I’m going on hiatus so I wanted to at least get this request for @laismoura-art out before I do so. 👍🏻 She asked for a continuation of my previous fic “strawberries”, show the conversation Harumi and Hanzo have regarding Harumi’s feelings for Kuai. Title is from Friday I’m In Love by The Cure.

Just because Harumi knew that Hanzo would not hold this against her, it didn’t mean she still wasn’t nervous how the conversation would go.

She doubted there was anyone in the world who wouldn’t be anxious over something like this. Not that she thought most people ever had to tell their husband they were falling in love with another man. And most that did were probably having affairs and intending to break up.

Oh she did not want to think of such things right now.

They hadn’t had a chance to be alone since Hanzo had come home. She’d been busy cooking with Kuai Liang when he first came back. During dinner they were joined by Kuai and Satoshi. And after that Hanzo had gone out with Satoshi for a while. It had taken everything in her to keep everything inside and not just blurt it out in front of their friend and their son.

But, as the pair got ready for bed, they were finally alone and she could tell Hanzo all that was on her mind.

If she could work up the nerve to spit it out, of course.

“Harumi,” Hanzo softly called as he settled next to her on the bed. “Is everything alright? You seem troubled by something.”

Ah. Maybe she hadn’t been hiding it as well as she thought she was. It was funny, really. When they were first courting, it had taken Harumi bluntly telling him she was interested in him to get him to realise. He was a popular man amongst the ladies of the village, but he was completely oblivious to all that, even now. But as time had gone on, his perception when it came to her had become razor sharp, being able to tell how she was feeling from something as simple as how she was holding her hands.

“I am, I guess,” she sighed, turning on her side so she could face him. “I need to talk to you about something, but I am unsure how to address it.”

“This sounds… Serious,” Hanzo huffed, reaching a hand out to touch her shoulder. “What is on your mind, my love?”

“Hanzo, you know I love you, right? With all my heart and the power of a thousand suns, I adore you with my very being.” The way Hanzo smiled at her words told her that he did, in fact, know that. “I tell you this, because I trust you and I know you will not be angered by my words but…”

The words got caught on her tongue. Despite everything, actually admitting her feelings out loud was terrifying. Like vocalising them would cement them as completely real.

“But?” Hanzo gently prompted, looking incredibly nervous, like he himself was terrified she was about to say something to break his heart. She knew she couldn’t stall any longer. She needed to rip off the bandage, so to speak.

“I think I’m falling in love with Kuai Liang,” she finally managed to say, closing her eyes as she did. Somehow, she didn’t want to see Hanzo’s reaction to that.

There was silence for a long moment, the only reason she knew he was still there was because she hadn’t heard him get up. Eventually, he heard a loud and tired sigh beside her, and three words that made her eyes shoot back open.

“Oh thank fuck.”

Harumi sat in confused silence, trying to figure out what exactly Hanzo meant by that exclamation. The longer she stared at him, the more his breathing began to get strange, like he was desperately attempting to hold in a laugh. Eventually, he gave up trying, and he just lay in bed chuckling to himself.

“Why are you laughing?” Harumi questioned in disbelief. “I’m being serious.”

“I know,” Hanzo managed to get out between his chuckles, wiping a tear from his eye. “First, I thought for a second you were going to tell me something terrible.” He finally managed to stop laughing, reaching out to her and cupping her cheek. “Second… I’m relieved, because I share those feelings.”

Harumi softly gasped. “Are you saying that you also-”

“Yes,” Hanzo stressed, giving her a smile. “I think I’m also falling in love with Kuai Liang.”

A voice in the back of her mind teased her for not realising before this would be the likely outcome. She had been so wrapped up in her own feelings, and her anxiety over telling Hanzo about them, that it never occurred to her that he could be in the exact same position as her.

“Oh. We are a pair of silly fools aren’t we,” she huffed, rubbing her face with her hands. Despite that, she was smiling to herself. “So. Where do we go from here?”

“That is the question isn’t it?” Hanzo agreed, nodding to himself. “Because it all rather hinges on how Kuai Liang feels.”

That was true. It was all very well that they had this realisation but it all rather meant nothing if Kuai wasn’t feeling the same way. It was hard to judge how he would react to the news. Overall, they had to be the ones to approach this, and they had to do it gently. The last thing she wanted was for Kuai to feel obligated to be with them.

“We could invite him to sit with us after Satoshi has gone to bed,” she began, frowning to herself.

“I do have some new tea I think he’d like,” Hanzo commented, rubbing his hand with his chin. “Do you think he’ll understand? Like even if we’re open and honest with him?”

“Maybe? I don’t know.” She’d asked Kuai if he’d had any romantic experiences once, just out of curiosity. He’d implied he’d had some sort of relationships, but it sounded like it was only with other men. And none of it had sounded particularly healthy. “He’s not a stranger to the subject. Even so, I think he’d appreciate us being direct.”

“So, tomorrow night, we sit down with some tea, maybe we’ll buy some extra snacks we know he likes beforehand too, and just… Be honest with him,” Hanzo relayed the tentative plan back to her. “If he seems receptive, we can ask him on a date. If not…”

“If not we back off and leave it unless he brings it up again.” It would hurt to have to do that, and honestly there was a part of her that worried the friendship and trust they’d gained would be tarnished if Kuai Liang took this badly. On the other hand, if he was receptive, maybe it would grow into something beautiful. “We need him to know it’s his choice, in the end.”

“Of course.” Hanzo smiled, propping himself up with one arm. “You know, when we got married, I never imagined we’d be lying in bed talking about how to ask a man out on a date.”

Harumi giggled, “I know. Kind of makes me feel like a teenager again.”

He lent forward, kissing her on the lips, before pulling away. Harumi wasn’t going to let him get away with just that though. She surged forward, pressing their lips together while making Hanzo roll onto his back so she was sitting on top of his chest. She could feel him smiling as his hands settled on her hips.

She was a lucky woman, and who knew, maybe someday, they’d be doing this exact same thing with Kuai Liang.

definitely takes you through the midwest somewhere

insists on driving the whole way but its ok cause he has an insane sense of direction

like knows every road and shortcut like the back of his hand

loves stopping in old local diners

at least once the owner of a bar recognizes him and reminds him that he’s banned for life

and somehow he ends up talking the owner into letting you guys stay??

only drinks black coffee and pretends like he enjoys it

you forced him to try an overly sweet 6$ coffee one time and now he insists on stopping for one in every town

pretends to obey traffic laws but speeds whenever you’re on a backroad

a cop tries to pull him over and suddenly he turns into Max Verstappen and is offroading through a random field to lose them

you guys get takeout and eat it on the tailgate of his truck

stops at any bar that advertises live music

Genji:

do not let this man drive he can’t drive for shit

wants to go somewhere neither of you have been before, but doesn’t really have a solid plan

matcha lattes at EVERY stop

you camp rather than stay in a hotel cause he never got to as a kid

like he’s never even tried a s’more or had a campfire before

chooses the most beautiful campsites ever with pretty beaches

neither of you can figure out how to set up the tent so you end up piling the blankets and pillows in your car and sleeping in the trunk

it’s surprisingly cozy though

also he totally winds up cuddling you for warmth

takes SO MANY pictures 

insists on using a paper map because he wants a more “authentic” feel 

results in you guys getting lost in the woods at least once

picks up handcrafted flavoured marshmallows at literally every gas station you stop at so he can make different kinds of s'mores

some of the flavours get wild too—like maple bacon or banana split

weirdly good at roadtrip games

brings his Switch or something so he can play Pokemon while you drive + names the ones he catches after the models of nearby cars

you end up staying on the trip way longer than intended because you guys have so much fun

Hanzo:

has a meticulously planned schedule of where you’ll visit and when

wants to take you through the Japanese countryside, maybe stop at a beach or two

very careful driver 

has a Nissan Versa that he babies and refuses to let you eat inside of (though if you bat your eyes at him enough, he’ll give in)

brings a polaroid camera so he can take pictures of all the beautiful sites

keeps the polaroids in a little folder tucked into the glovebox

refuses to get fast food and insists on stopping at cute local cafes

has packed for literally every possible occasion in only one tiny bag

you ask him to stop so you can buy something weird and obscure and he just so happens to have it

“I really wish I had Shrek 2 on DVD right now”

has a soft spot for roadside fruit stands and had to stop at every single one to buy stuff 

the whole trunk is filled with fruit. there’s no escape

annoyingly slow driver

everyone is passing you guys

has a pretty solid plan of where he wants to go but he’s open to feedback

has an immaculate sense for choosing the best local restaurants

always wants to try the most niche food combos he can find—like deep fried milk

needs to have his water bottle, an energy drink and a fun drink or else he can’t drive

wears sunscreen in the car and stops every few hours to reapply

cringes at your driving no matter how you drive and definitely gives you at least one (1) lecture about the dangers of speeding

loves tourist traps and wants to stop at every one you pass

insists on getting those dorky commemorative t-shirts from said tourist attractions so that the two of you can match

loves salt water taffy and looks for fun weird flavours wherever you find them

his entire centre console ends up being FULL of them by the end of the trip

he has the ac in the car on full blast to the point you’re shivering

not big on taking pictures but loves videos—he has about a thousand of the two of you trying new fun drinks and snacks

it’s been so long since he was able to be on the road without worrying about Talon—and he never wants to go back

Lucio:

nobody is more fun than him on a road trip

has a super fun car that he’s souped up and decorated to hell

the car has window tint so dark that you can’t see into it

does not obey traffic laws. you’re getting so many tickets, im sorry

buys those window markers so the two of you can draw on them when you’re bored

chooses the music and probably has a thirty hour long meticulously curated playlist

car singalongs all day

drinks so many energy drinks you’re surprised his heart still works

wants to stop in every single town to try their local specialties 

doesn’t really have a solid plan or anything, just wants to hit the road and see where you end up

wears increasingly goofy disguises when going out in public

Mauga:

insists on taking his big ass Jeep that he refers to as “Little Betty” and refuses to let anyone else drive ‘her’

drives with one hand on the wheel, music way too loud, the windows down even when you’re going like 110

he lets you pick the music as long as its upbeat 

constantly drinking some weird protein shake 

absolutely no plan of where he wants to go, just wants to hit up some nice beaches

has all of your stuff crammed in the back so high that you couldn’t possibly see out of the back window

drives in the sluttiest skimpiest tank top ever 

wants to try all the local cocktails and party in every town you stop in

gets drunk and becomes best friends with everyone he meets

needs to collect a Hawaiian print shirt in every place you stop in to commemorate the occasion

wants more than anything to teach you how to surf

he stops at every beach you pass and BEGS you to try it out

either wants to sleep in a five star hotel or on the beach with no shelter. there is no inbetween

Hanzo is intrigued, more than anything. His uptight demeanour holds him back from directly approaching you, yet when he incidentally comes across you in the training room, he can't help but feel a luring sense of curiosity. Naturally stealthy, Hanzo watches from the wall - a small sense of awe overtaking him when you shift fully into the most magnificent creature he'd ever seen. You were not like his own two Japanese dragons, you were a large Wyvern, with scales that glittered like sea glass and a moonstone underbelly to match.

Ever since that encounter, his tattoo had itched, his dragons itching to wind free from his arm with flowering curiosity. When it became too much, and the dragons sprung free by their own sheer will - the archer set to seek you out. And while you weren't necessarily hard to find, Hanzo had been softened to find you, sat cross-legged while his dragons snaked around your waist and arms playfully. You returned them in kind - playfully blowing billowing smoke from your nostrils onto their little whiskers, a neat little trick you could do in human form. Hanzo later discovered that you couldn't produce fire whilst human because it would damage you, yet small amounts of smoke was completely plausible.

It's a sweet interaction between you both. Hanzo's dragons weren't usually so bold or disobedient to his commands and when he bashfully tried to call them back - you simply smiled at him, telling him that you didn't mind at all. Hanzo soon finds comfort in your company, his dragons crooning at the familiarity, beckoning him towards you every time. You both grow closer, and Hanzo finds a small warmth that kindles him every time he catches your eye.

Missions are made much easier with you - and Hanzo will never admit it, but the thrill he gets from riding you into battle will never get old. Your wings are strong, beating down on the wind as he sits upon the base of your neck - his keen eye watching over the elegant crest of your head - Hanzo fires one arrow, striking two enemies down.

While in dragon form, Hanzo makes it a point to make sure you're well taken care of. He'll strike down any enemy that even dares aim for your vulnerable underbelly, or gently help pry off any scales you may be shedding. Cassidy caught him pocketing the scales you shed, yet neglected to say anything due to the fond look that flashed across Hanzo's face. The archer deserved some peace.

When the nights are cold, Hanzo comes to you. You run warm, due to the dragon blood coursing your veins. Yet as much as he can bluff or scoff at anyone's accusations, at the end of the day, it's true that even in summer - he'd still seek your touch.

MK11 Headkanons I Hanzo Hasashi/ Scorpion, Kuai Liang/Sub-Zero I Girl Dads

Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion

Father of two little girls, named Harumi Hasashi and Aiko Hasashi

Named after his previous wife and son to keep their memories alive and thrive

His little girls are his pride and joy, they are his literal world. Hanzo values his family above everything else.

Tea parties. Tea parties. Tea parties. He is getting roped into having tea parties with his daughters an he honestly loves it. If sitting at a too small table while they serve him inedible glitter brings a smile to their faces it's worth the discomfort.

Hanzo also enjoys using those moments to teach the girls' proper tea etiquette. Showing them how to brew different kinds of tea for the different occasions and how to serve it.

Has gifted his girls individual tea pets. Aiko was given a monkey for it's representation of curiosity, wit and intelligence. Harumi was given a rabbit for it's representation of kindness and grace.

Hanzo's fiery temper had mellowed out having girls. Being on a hair trigger of rage while raising two young girls is not a good way to parent at all, especially when they have their own quick wits of their own. It helped the man to get a better sense of patience.

There was one incident where he had snapped at Aiko, anger blazing and curses falling like a river till the young girl was sobbing and it wrecked him. The sight of tears on his daughter's face because of his own actions was the most monstrous the man had ever felt. He vowed to never do something like that again and has kept on that vow ever since.

Kuai Liang

Kuai has one little girl named Xue Liang, a subtle nod towards the brother he had once admired and lost to darkness

Dotes on his daughter and treats her like a princess

She does hold high priority within the clan as Sub-Zero's daughter yet Kuai prioritizes teaching her humility and compassion. He'll spoil her but doesn't want her spoiled rotten per say

Absolutely makes instant popsicles in the summer for her whenever asked. Doesn't even need to be asked. She just hands him a stick and some juice, instant popsicle.

Xue follows her dad around like a shadow when he's doing Grandmaster duties around the clan. Kuai loves having her presence as a reminder of why he made all the changes within the Lin Kuei to begin with. To provide a better environment and just clan that protects, not destroys.

Due to Xue being Kuai's only child they have frequent play dates with Hanzo's girls, Harumi and Aiko. The three girls are LOCKED together

Harumi and Aiko's more exuberant personalities helps to pull Xue out of her shell, giving her a close connection with the girls where she can feel open and excitable.

Hanzo's girls are always in awe of the icy wilderness surrounding the Lin Kuei's clan meanwhile Xue adores being able to visit the fire gardens located with the Shirai Ryu.

Tomas, you, Hanzo, Kuai Liang, and Harumi were spending the hot summer afternoon on the training floor of the building, as it was the only room with no walls and a roof over with shade. Kuai wasn’t having it, being that he was burning both on the outside and on the inside. Tomas was dying from the heat as well, both him and Hanzo on the other side of the room to stay away from Kuai’s heat. This was bad even for you, and having Bi Han around would make it easier but sadly no, he’d gone rouge and left you all behind to work with Shang Tsung. The heat was bad today, the five of you practically out of commission for today. Even Liu Kang wasn’t having fun either, he and Geras were burning up too.

“What I would give to find a giant pool of water right now.” You spoke out loud

“Yeah I’d feel so much better and not like I’m burning inside.” Kuai added

“Hold on I have an idea!” You hear Raiden say from a distance away

“What is it?” Tomas asked

“Let’s go ask Johnny if we can use his pool! He’s always saying we can use it since he’s almost always never around.”

“Fuck it I’m in.” You answered sitting up speed walking to Raiden and Kung Lao

“Me too.” Kaui added as he got up and sprinted over with Harumi behind him

“Alright fuck it we need an off day.” Tomas replied

And sooooo…

It took a little time to get to Johnny’s place, with the group also trying to see if Kenshi wanted to go as well. Unfortunately they couldn’t find him, so they resorted to going anyways.

“Ah yes finally free cooling!” You cheered as you, Kung Lao, Raiden, and Tomas went running through the door and into Johnny’s open door

“Oh hey guys I heard you-“

You four didn’t get far, crashing into someone a little ways into the house and falling to the floor. You fell on Tomas while Raiden and Kung Lao rolled to the side but right on top of each other. To your surprise, it was Kenshi, swearing a pair of white swim trunks patterned with pineapples, no shirt while having dark sunglasses covering his eyes.

“Kenshi” You shouted

You shot up from Tomas’ grip, going to hug Kenshi since it’s been awhile since you two interacted at all.

“Hello Y/n it’s good to see you too. I see you brought the whole team.”

He gently elbowed your side, noticing he was looking in the direction of who was at the door.

“So let me guess… it’s Raiden, Kung Lao, Y/n, Tomas, Kuai, Harumi, and Lord Liu Kang.”

“Good guess my friend you know us all too well.” Kuai responded back to Kenshi

It took a few minutes for everyone to get their clothes off, most of the boys just walking around shirtless with some sort of shorts on. You could see Harumi gawking at her husband Kuai, and you felt the same about another brother of the Shirai Ryu.

“Hey Y/n come on! You’re so slow!” Kung Lao shouted

“Cannonball!” Both you and Raiden shouted as you both ran to the edge of the pool before jumping in

“Incoming!” Johnny shouted as him, Kenshi, and Hanzo jumped right on top of you both

Almost everyone was in, except Harumi, Kuai, and Tomas. You couldn’t see what they were doing very well or hear what they were saying but it seemed like Tomas was nervous and asking a question. What you didn’t know at all was that Tomas was asking questions, about you.

“Just go to her and say ‘I like you’ to Y/n. That’s all you gotta do!”

“But-“

“Your brother is right Tomas you just have to say those three words to her and she’ll fall on her knees for you.”

“And what makes you so sure she will?”

“Just trust us.”

And so Tomas bid Kuai and his wife a quick farewell before slowly walking to the edge of the pool, quickly spotting you in the middle with Raiden, Kung Lao, Johnny, and Kenshi around you like they were fawning over you. It made him frustrated, after all he did like you but it was a pain to deal with four different guys at your feet as well.

“Y/n!” He shouted

You quickly looked behind you, spotting the handsome assassin looking right at you from outside the pool. You quickly swam over and pulled yourself out of the pool, standing in front of the grey haired man you admired.

“Can we talk over there?” He asked pointing to an open area behind him a few feet away

“Sure!”

You followed him to the spot, your eyes drifting to his ripped chest and bulky arms. He was attractive, and your eyes couldn’t stop staring at all of him. However, his attitude quickly turned when you didn’t expect it too.

“What are you doing with those four?” He grumbled

“They’re my friends Tomas I like talking to them and joking around with them.”

“Well I don’t.”

Where was this coming from? You���ve never known Tomas Vrbada to have clashing personalities with anyone else in the Shirai Ryu… well except Johnny. Yes he was Tomas’ favorite actor and Johnny’s even asked Tomas to star in things with him, but there are times where Johnny oversteps like he did before with Kitana and her sister Mileena some odd months ago.

“So?”

“So? I know for a fact Johnny and Kung Lao will try for any girl within ten feet of them, while Kenshi and Raiden will get to you slowly, hoping you slip one day.”

“And we’re just friends! What wrong with that?”

Now you were confused and annoyed, you’ve always been friendly with the champions of Earthrealm long before you realized you’d have feelings for Tomas. Were those feelings a lie now? This wasn’t normal of Tomas, to be angry and annoyed with someone.

“What’s wrong with it? Y/n the four of them like you why else would they always be around you?!”

“For your information Tomas they don’t. I know that for a fact, and there’s no reason to speculate it. Why are you mad about it? You know I don’t like them either! I like you!”

Before Tomas could even react, you started to turn and walk away.

“Wait Y/n!”

Tomas shot an arm out, holding onto your wrist as you both stared at each other.

“You like me?” Tomas asked

Oops. You didn’t mean to say that out loud.

“Yeah?”

“I-I thought that-“

“Tomas how blind are you?”

“What?”

He let you go, and you smacked yourself in the face with your hand. Oh so Tomas wasn’t as observant to other relationships as well as he said he was.

“Tomas… oh my god.”

“What? What’d I do?!”

“You are so clueless.”

“To what? What’d I miss? Clearly they like being near you cause you’re a girl!”

How were you gonna say this since Tomas’ perception of a “relationship” was a boy and girl… but that was not the case with the four guys you were both talking about.

“Tomas… Kenshi is in a relationship with Johnny and Raiden is with Kung Lao.”

The weight of his own stupid assumptions hit Tomas in the face. Well, there went his bragging rights of saying he knows everyone and everything about everyone there.

“Okay… I see… my bad.” He answered covering his face with his hands

Poor Tomas had just been hit with the classic “the four guys are gay and the girl is actually not any of their crushes”.

“I am so dumb aren’t I?”

“Yes you are Tommy.”

“H-Hey! Don’t call me that in front of others!”

You just laughed, even though you felt a little hurt at Tomas’ blind views of how you felt about him and your friends.

“How can I ever repay you back?” Tomas asked moving his hands away from his face

“You don’t have to Tomas. Just know it’s always you.”

He smiled, feeling heat in his cheeks as you went and grabbed both of his hands in yours.

“I feel bad and I want to fix what I said.”

“You don’t have to. We both messed up in this situation, I should’ve told you a while ago when the boys came out of the closet.”

Tomas held back a laugh. You felt better knowing you made Tomas smile and laugh, forgetting about your small disagreement from earlier. You didn’t regret telling Tomas your feelings, not one bit.

“Ready to cool off?”

Tomas held your hand in his, taking a step past you to bring you both back to the others. You heard someone go “called it” and someone else add “Johnny” in the crowd of your friends. Kuai Liang and Harumi were smiling at you, Kuai holding in what seemed like a perfect joke.

“About time brother.”

“I hope it went well?”

“It went just perfectly.” You joked

And so Tomas and yourself walked over to the edge of the pool, right before Tomas grabbed your waist and jumped in with you. You could feel his grip on you even under the water, you knew he wasn’t ever going to let you go. You both came up for air, Tomas shaking his head to get the water out of his short grey hair, while you pulled back your hair. He treaded water next to you, smiling as his grip got a little lighter. His smile was wide, quickly looking to the four boys mentioned earlier and sighing.

“I like you.”

“I like you too.”

Summary: you and hanzo play volleyball.

It wasn't often that Hanzo took vacations. In fact, he couldn't remember a time when he did take a vacation. Well, except for the time his son was born. Oh, and his marriage. So maybe he has taken a few vacations here and there, but those were long ago. He hadn't taken one yet with you. He was worried about his clan and who would watch over them during his leave. He didn't want to lose them again. He didn't want to lose you, either. It was a tough choice to stay with his clan or to leave with you… He looked out from where he sat. Down below, his clan was training. He looked over in the general direction of where his son and wife lay. Then, he looked over in the direction of where his home was that he shared with you. He breathed out slowly and turned his attention back to his clan. It would be a few hours before he climbed down and went to find you. He opted to walk in. Instead of teleporting, he knew that he sometimes scared you, especially when you weren't expecting him to show up.

"Y/N, I've thought about it some more, and I'd like to take a vacation. I can leave Haruto in charge of the clan until our return."

You smiled as you continued kneading the dough. You often made home-cooked meals.

"When would you like to leave?"

"After I've spoken to Haruto, but whenever you are ready."

"Alright, let me make dinner. Then we can pack afterward."

"Thank you, I'll go speak to Haruto." He teleported away while you continued making the food.

The next day arrived, and you were both ready to head out. Hanzo followed after you but stopped to look at the clan behind him. He breathed in, nodded once, and turned to continue following you. It was only a few days, and they would be just fine during his leave. There wasn't any danger recently. There was no reason to attack the Shirai Ryu.

It was mid-day when you arrived at your hotel, you set your luggage down, and Hanzo began to unpack his.

"Do you want to go to the beach or explore first?" You asked as you started to unpack your things as well.

"We could go to the beach."

"Have you ever played volleyball?"

"No, I haven't."

You nodded, and both of you changed into more appropriate beach attire. Then, you headed out while you explained to him how to play.

"That seems kind of easy." He said as he walked to his side of the court. You let him serve first, and the ball went straight over your head.

You gave the ball back to him and backed up this time, expecting the ball to land where it did once before. Instead, the ball landed just on your side of the net. You tried to go after it, but it was too late.

"Sorry." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck and gave a weak smile.

"It's alright, it's just a game." You said as you smiled and handed him the ball.

Hanzo would wind up winning the game.

I'd adore headcanons of Brigitte, Hanzo, Junker Queen & Sombra with a reader who has massive difficulties standing up for themselves and confrontation in general. Like, usually they'd rather just adapt to any situation and take any hurt than ever express themselves directly. Not necessarily that they're a doormat, more that they'd instead not risk hurting others if they can help it. Could they help the reader out of those?

Brigitte is a sweetheart, but she quickly becomes worried when she notices how you always seem worried you'll hurt others before yourself

So, Brigitte politely asks if she can help you learn how to turn people away without sounding rude

You're also always allowed to use her as an excuse if there's something you don't want to do. She'll go along with it😉

Hanzo

He's also worried but doesn't know how to be as vocal or helpful about it

He was used to doing whatever his father told him without question, but that part of his life was so miserable

Even if he's not sure how to help you with others, if there's something you don't want to do but you're worried that you'll hurt the person's feelings, he'll walk up beside you and claim that you two have a date that day or something (and then he panic plans a date)

He also makes sure that whatever he asks you that you know he'll never take offense if you say no

Junker Queen

Probably the most vocal about it all

Since she is the Queen of Junker Town, she doesn't see the need to do something she doesn't want to but when you do, she gets a little worried

She knows not to barge into your life, so she has a more private conversation about it

She assured you that no one will get hurt over you declining them and if they do, well... she has power for a reason

While Odessa loves her city, she doesn't want you to think you're hurting anyone. They've all got some pretty thick skin (due to radiation)

Sombra

Sombra is used to only doing things because she wants to or if it benefits her, so when you always just adapt to things or just say yes because the persons your friend, she gets worried

She doesn't like to keep things from you (unless it's dangerous), so she brings up her concerns and listens carefully to your reasons

She's a pretty confident person, so if you ever need a little help or if you don't want to confront someone, she'll do it for you if you let her

Hanzo faired no better, for all IT toke to get his attention away from Manning The grill was Kuai Liang asking for help putting sun screen on.
