Tumblr media
Why Choose Thailand for Your Studies?
Academic Excellence with a Global Outlook
Thailand is home to many internationally recognized universities offering programs taught in English. These institutions provide a diverse range of courses, from engineering and business to arts and sciences. Universities in Thailand partner with global institutions to deliver cutting-edge education, ensuring that students receive degrees that are globally respected. The country’s focus on research and innovation further enhances the academic experience, making studying in Thailand an attractive choice.
Affordable Education and Cost of Living
One of the main reasons students opt for Thailand is the affordable tuition fees and cost of living. Compared to Western countries, education in Thailand is more budget-friendly without compromising on quality. International students can live comfortably while studying, with the cost of food, accommodation, and transportation being significantly lower than in other study-abroad destinations.
Cultural Diversity and Experiences
Thailand offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a rich and diverse culture. From vibrant cities like Bangkok to the serene countryside, Thailand is a blend of tradition and modernity. Students can explore historical temples, enjoy tropical beaches, and experience the world-famous Thai cuisine, all while receiving a high-quality education. This cultural immersion makes studying in Thailand a life-changing experience for many.
Growing Hub for International Students
Thailand has positioned itself as an educational hub in Southeast Asia, attracting students from all over the world. The government has made significant investments in education, ensuring that the country’s universities meet international standards. With a rapidly growing international student population, you’ll find a supportive and diverse community during your time in Thailand.

Admission Requirements and Process
Applying to study in Thailand involves a few steps. Here’s what you need to know:
Academic Qualifications: Most universities will require you to have completed your secondary education or hold a bachelor’s degree if you are applying for postgraduate studies.
English Language Proficiency: While many programs are offered in English, non-native speakers may need to provide proof of English language proficiency, usually through tests like IELTS or TOEFL.
Application Documents: You’ll need to submit a complete application form, academic transcripts, a personal statement, and letters of recommendation. Some universities may also require a portfolio, especially for arts-related courses.
Visa Requirements: International students must apply for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa. Once they have an offer from a university, they can do this at their nearest Thai consulate.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
Thailand offers numerous scholarships for international students, especially for those from developing countries. Scholarships are offered by both the Thai government and universities, helping to reduce the financial burden of studying abroad.
Some notable scholarships include:
Thailand International Postgraduate Program (TIPP): Offered by the Thai government, this scholarship is for postgraduate students from various countries and covers tuition, living expenses, and health insurance.
Chulalongkorn University Scholarship: This scholarship is for ASEAN students pursuing graduate programs and covers tuition fees and living allowances.
It’s advisable to research and apply for scholarships early, as they are competitive and have specific deadlines.
Life as an International Student in Thailand
Living in Thailand as a student offers numerous benefits. Thai people are known for their friendliness and hospitality, making it easy for international students to feel welcome. The cost of living is relatively low compared to other countries, and students can enjoy a vibrant lifestyle without overspending.
Accommodation Options
International students have various options for accommodation, including:
On-campus dormitories: Many universities offer affordable on-campus housing for international students. Living on campus allows you to be close to academic facilities and engage more in campus life.
Private rentals: For those who prefer more privacy or living off-campus, there are many affordable apartments and shared housing options available in cities like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket.
Part-time Work Opportunities
International students in Thailand are allowed to work part-time during their studies, provided they obtain a work permit. This can be a great way to earn some extra income while gaining work experience in a different cultural context. Many students find part-time work in teaching, hospitality, and retail.

Climate: Thailand’s tropical climate can be quite different from what some students are used to. It’s essential to adapt to the hot and humid weather, especially if you’re from a cooler climate.
Cultural Adjustments: Understanding and respecting Thai customs is essential for integrating into the local community. While Thai people are welcoming, being mindful of cultural norms, such as showing respect to the monarchy and local traditions, is essential.

Currently Watching - January
aka The Masterlist
Because I love a good little list - in alphabetical order! 😊
Regularly updated during the month, latest update 31.01.2025
A little link to my favorite bl-tropes-collection 💙
gif-requests are open, but you'll need to have some patience🌼
Here you can find all of my gifs.
At the end you can have a look at what we can expect in January with a MDL link and a link for a trailer (if avaible).
This is guaranteed to contain spoilers!
1. Eternal Butler 🇹🇼 (5/12)
Tumblr media
I really don't like this one that much. Why am I still here? The plot is hiding, the acting is playing catch with the writing. Some emotions are shining through and yet this feels very muh bland.
2. Futtara Doshaburi 🇯🇵 (4/7)
Tumblr media
My intention was to talk about what a nice social study this show is. How the lack of sex can make you feel this insecure and lost and that the missing communication is not helping. I wanted to talk about how much Nakarai is longing for some physical touch, some love, not just sex and how this situation is slowly eating him up. And then there was the preview and my mind went "oh." Just "oh". See you next week.
3. I'll Turn Back This Time 🇨🇳 (2/6)
Tumblr media
Okay, just time travel this time. Cut the step brothers. I enjoyed this episode and Shen Nan building a connection with Gu Shi Wen. I still don't understand the time travel and the changes that been made because of it, but I hope we get a little more information in the future.
4. Ossan's Love Thailand 🇹🇭 (4/12)
Tumblr media
What in the Luigi is happening here? This series is really challenging me. The only thing I kinda like is Mix's acting and the soundtrack. The OST is so funny. The show? Not so much. It is really difficult to watch. Just not my humor.
5. Sangmin Dinneaw 🇹🇭 (5/8)
Tumblr media
This series is such a rollercoaster. One moment they are sweet and innocent and the other second they are eating each other! And everyone beside the main couple is just pure chaos. I watch it only half, because I can't watch most of the cringe scenes. And now I am kinda curious what Sangmin's secret is.
6. Study Group 🇰🇷 (4/10)
Tumblr media
I like the study group. They are all such characters. And I really enjoy the fight-scenes. So the study group is finally complete and now they are fighting evil bastards? I guess. And I am here for it. But I am so sorry Cha WooMin. Ever since Weak Hero Class 1 I can't like you. You hurt me too much! And now you're a villain again? Damn!
7. ThamePo Heart That Skips A Beat 🇹🇭 (8/13)
Tumblr media
Oh you mother of all slow burn! This is pure torture for them and for us! And I love every bits of it! So we finally get Jun telling his intentions (I was right, yeah!) and Thame showed again why he is the greenest flags of them all! He is such a fair player and a loyal friend, who wouldn't sacrifice one or the other, but wants Po to make the decision. Only Jun already knew that Po already likes Thame (and like everyone else knows too). I didn't like the fact that Jun told Thame and Po about their mutual crush, but without him, let's be honest, they would still just stare at each other. And yes, I was screaming at my screen "Just kiss already", but this is such a delightful torture of a slow burn! Really delicious! And we got some hand holding. But Thame... your idea putting Po's hand in your pocket and nobody will know is just dumb. But they hold hands! AHHHHH! And next week... AHHHHHH!
8. The Heart Killers 🇹🇭 (10/12)
Tumblr media
Joong really delivered in this episode. His single tears were so good. Fadel breaking down and allowing Style to comfort him, to protect him, to love every side of him was indeed beautiful. The series is not good, but this episode was quite good. But Mama being the bad guy here. Who was surprised? Be honest.
9. Word of Honor 🇨🇳 (25/36)
Tumblr media
Yes, I kept watching. Well, this will take me a while to finish, I fear.
10. Your Sky 🇹🇭 (11/12)
Tumblr media
The question for me this episode was: Why do you think Rak can't have a happy family and someone who cares about him with Fah? Why do you think he needs a woman for that? The father really annoyed me with his I don't want to talk about it attitude. He is just worried? He wouldn't be worried if Fah was a woman. I understand where they were coming from with this plot line, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. What I still love about this series is the communication, especially between the mains. And that Rak didn't sacrifice his relationship in the end, but he stood by his man and so did Fah. I love them!
Finished in January
Series
Miseinen: Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu 🇯🇵
Tumblr media
Somewhere along the way I lost interest. I don't like the trope of noble idiocy and that kinda ruins my wish to continue the series. And while it might fit into the narrative, I still don't like it. And so I didn't like the ending. Well, the ending itself was okay and it felt real. Coming out to the friends and family would have not fit the plot. I liked that about the series. Overall a strong start, a mediocre middle and a weaker ending. I give it a 7 out of 10.
See Your Love 🇹🇼
Tumblr media
I went into this without any expectations. And damn, I am so happy I could binge this one. I loved it! They are so cute. The height difference is adorable! The story might came a little bit short, but but the characters and their developments and relationships made this series really enjoyable. I love how enthusiastic Yang Zixiang learned sign language. You could see, that this was important for him. The depiction of disability was good and well performed. The side-couple is the only thing that was not for me. I give it a strong 9,5 out of 10.
Fourever You Project 🇹🇭
Tumblr media
I just binged this one. I started for Johan and North and I stayed for them. And for the others beside Hill and Ter. I adore Pond. I loved him in 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us. But this series was not for him. He and Earth have no chemistry together. Perhaps I don't like the typecast of Earth. Most of the times his characters annoy me and he isn't allowed to play an adult. And with Pond there was no spark on my screen. Other with Maxky and Bas. Their characters were goo. The chemistry was good. Their story was good and not that cliche-loaded as HillTer's was. I want to know what is going on with the other two, Tonfah and Arthit. The plot was a college bl. Plain, good ol' college bl. Nothing more nothing less. I admit I skipped most of Hill and Ter's scenes after Johan and North got the lead. I give it a 7 out of 10.

I've put a shit tonne of time effort into learning Thai and sometimes it feels like such a big thing, to be trying to learn a whole entire language, and sometimes I think maybe I just take a break.
But the "My name is Jeff, not Nhu" joke was so much fucking funnier in Thai than I expected.
So I guess I'm back at it.

Episode 5 similarities and differences between Ossan's Love (2018) and Ossan's Love Thailand
[Ep 1; Ep 2; Ep 3; Ep 4; Ep 5]
(disclaimer: I have watched all of the Haruta + Maki version of OL [Ossan's Love, Ossan's Love: LOVE or DEAD, Ossan's Love Returns] except for the specials which I haven't gotten around to, and I've watched the airport AU season Ossan's Love: In the Sky. I haven't watched the original one shot episode and the Hong Kong version.)
(disclaimer #2: This is just for fun. I'm not intending to make any statements over which version is superior or anything like that in this post. If you noticed something I missed please let me know so I can add it! I only rewatched ep 4 of the Jv for this.)
For the sake of my lazieness I will use Tv for Thai version and Jv for Japanese Version.
This episode has taken one storyline from the Jv ep 4 and mixed it with some original content. I'll talk about the adapted stuff/ references in chronological order of the Jv for this episode.
Reveal cont.:
Both versions start right where the previous episode left off. Cher-aim in the Tv is mostly angry about Heng lying to her and asks her dad to choose anyone else besides him. When he declines, she storms off. Meanwhile in the Jv Choko experiences a lot more confusion about the situation, especially H being a guy. Like Cher-aim she accuses H of lying to her which Haruta also denies though since Choko is the boss's wife not daughter it's a bit more serious with her thinking he enjoyed making a fool out of her. Haruta also explaines to her that there is technically no affair happening (yet). Clearly shaken up, she leaves.
Post Reveal Convo:
In both versions boss and H have a talk after C leaves. In the Jv boss assures H that he'll get her to accept them, H is also pretty shaken up about the whole thing and asks boss to reconsider the divorce. Boss kisses his hand and they keep holding hands through the rest of the conversation. Choko takes some incriminating pics of them from outside the cafe. In the Tv it's just a short moment of boss assuring Heng and being happy that he "admited" their "realtionship". He hugs Heng to his chest similarily to how Jv boss did to Haruta at the end of the previous ep and until Choko left in this ep.
Maki = Wife:
Maika asks Haruta about his lunch and when he replies that Maki made it, comments that it's like Maki is his wife. This was clearly an inspiration for the Tv ep 1 scene where Heng showed off his Mo-made lunch to the office and Newyear asked him if Mo wasn't more like his wife not his mom.
Chopping cabbage:
Jv boss comes home to find Choko chopping cabbage, he asks what she's making and if there's enough for him, she ignores him completely. There might be some parallels here to the scene where boss talks to Cher-aim through her door and she ignores him and he mentions that she hasn't been eating though admittedly I'm grasping at straws here.
Homewrecker:
Choko confronts Haruta (and Maki) on the street in her black divorce coat and tells Haruta she's going to sue him, she calls him a home-wrecker and pushes him over. In a later scene at home with Maki they talk about it, Maki says that she doesn't really have any grounds to sue him as he isn't actually having an affair with the boss. He also calls him a home-wrecker though. I'd say all of this is being referenced in the Tv when Heng comes home and paniks to Mo about being called a home-wrecker on Dr.Phil and Mo reassuring him that he didn't actually steal anyone's husband.
Tough Love:
The previous Jv scene with Maki continues with Maki chastising Haruta for never actually clearly rejecting boss. This conversation is very similar to the Tv conversation between Heng and Mo after boss tells them he has to pretend Heng doesn't exist per his daughter's orders.
Air-con Remote:
For spoiler reasons Haruta is at home and very upset. He tries to turn on the tv with the air-con remote. This is cleary being referenced when the Tv boss is so distracted by his worrying over the situation with his daughter that he tries to use the air-con remote as his phone among other mistaken objects.
Meeting Choko:
There is a small scene of Choko and Haruta meeting where Choko tells him her lawyers will tear him to pieces and Haruta tells her he's planning to talk to boss and wants them to get back together. If you try very hard you could maybe see some similarities here to Cher-aim's attitude during the dinner with her boss and Heng in the Tv.
The Break-up:
Haruta had asked boss for this meeting. They go to the same spot where boss first confessed. When Haruta starts to speak boss starts screaming and saying he can't hear him. Haruta screams "I'm sorry" and bows 90° (they've changes sides compared to the confession so the shot is pretty much the same to when boss bowed 90° to confess, just a neat detail) boss screams even more and falls to his knees. He asks Haruta why, if Choko said something, Haruta denies, boss asks if it's because he's his boss, because he's a man. Haruta tells him he respects him as a leader, that he's a role model and has always been there for them (the team) when they failed, from the heart he thinks he's the best boss ever. But that's respect and not love and he wants them to go back to boss and employee. He says he's not worthy of his love but grateful. They both get up from the ground and boss pulls himself together, says some work stuff to him and leaves. The shot pans to show Choko had been listening, she's also crying. In the Tv this conversation happens in the virtual world because Cher-aim forbade her dad from talking to Heng. Here it is boss who initiates this meet-up. They're dressed in fantasy costumes per their in-game characters and have a bit of a virual fantasy-world date which prompts the game to reward them if they change their status to "in a relationship" to which boss asks Heng to be his boyfriend. Heng removes his arm from boss's grasp and gets serious, boss shouts he doesn't want to hear it and holds his ears closed. Heng pries his hands away from his ears and tells him he has something important to say, he's really sorry. Boss asks why, if it's because of his daughter, Heng denies, boss asks if it's because of him, because he's a man, Heng denies (! this is maybe a small but noteworthy difference. In the Jv H doesn't explicitly deny the man question, he just starts explaining his reason, whereas in the Tv Heng explicitly says "No" to boss's gender being the problem). Heng says he only sees boss as someone he respects, that he always protects them (the team) when they have a problem, always points Heng's mistakes out to him, teaches him to be better at his work, that Heng's so lucky to have him as his boss. Boss asks why he doesn't choose him, Heng says because he doesn't love him, he wants them to go back to how they were before, he thanks boss for falling for him. Then we see boss take of his VR glasses in his home and cry.
While the circumstances of this scene are pretty different between the versions, the break-up/rejection (however you want to see it) conversation itself is extremely similar.
Aftermath with Choko:
Boss comes home and eats dinner with Choko (there's a way too large bowl of chopped cabbage on the table). Boss starts crying as he eats, says that the food is delicious. Choko seems sympathetic. In the Tv Cher-aim comes into the living room as boss is crying after getting rejected. She asks what's wrong and he tells her that Heng rejected him. She hugs him, tells him she's here. He apologises and asks if she's dissapointed to see this side of him. She starts crying too, tells him it's okay, he didn't do anything wrong, they hug again. He tells her he loves her, they hug some more while crying. like last episode we can see here that changing C's character from wife to daughter brought with it the topic of a child accepting their parent's queerness and this time also their parent's weakness/imperfection. In the Jv it's more about former spouses moving on in an (eventually) amicable manner.
New Stuff & Other Thoughts:
the Tv introduced the boss being distracted at work because of the Heng issue thus raising the stakes a little for Heng to make of for the loss of stakes that happened when wife was replaced with daughter (so no divorce, no "affair")
it also gives us some deeper exploration of the relationship between boss and his daughter which makes sense in so far as they'll keep being a family going forward moreso than boss and Choko in the Jv
even more it gives us a deeper exploration into why Mo fell in love with Heng, and Mo's past and current character in general
and a clearer look into how/why/when Heng falls in love with Mo along with a much gentler realisation for Heng that he's developed feelings for Mo (SPOILER! whereas in the Jv this realisation was largely driven by jealousy)
we also get some more original whacky shenanigans of various single brain cell sharing groups and various references to other media (Atots, MLC, Doraemon, Ready Player One, are ones that I caught, maybe LOTR and a thai fary tale I forgot the name of in the fantasy costumes)
in general I'd say the Tv was more gentle with its characters compared to the Jv this week, especially Heng but also boss
ep 4 of the Jv had ca. 3.5 storylines running concurrently, this ep of the Tv tackeled only one of them, one of the others is definitely coming next week judging by the preview, I'm guessing the third might also get its own episode, the point five I'd say is more likely to at least be introduced next week

major props to Wandee Goodday for the fact that Dee was up front about his scholarship competition involving study abroad because i am very over the trope in dramas (not just QL ones either!) where one lead intends on going abroad or leaving in some way and hides it from the other lead until the very end then it's part of the Heavily Contrived Break Up They Must Go Through Before Getting Back Together and the one character is so surprised and hurt that the intent to leave has been hidden from them the whole time. Dee has been talking with Yak about the scholarship, telling him about studying, tried to pouty lip guilt him about the cost of studying abroad, etc, he has been very clear about what his goal is and i just appreciate that a lot.

Please donate to my gogetfunding to help me achieve my dreams.
My name is Buhle, and I'm from South Africa. I'm trying to gain admission into an educational program in Bangkok, Thailand, and I've exhausted every option I can possibly think of. I've contacted banks, companies, and even relatives, but nothing has worked out. My parents don't have enough money to fund me because the program fees are in dollars, and our currency is weaker compared to dollars. Even if you can spare $5, it would mean the world to me. Thank you for your kindness. Please share this post as much as you can to help me. Thank you again. ❤️❤️❤️

Heey, so I started watching Summer Night and finished ep3 now. It's quite refreshing to watch het-rom series after BL and I'm enjoying it quite a lot! It's actually nice not to know which couple is going to end up together unlike BL. Even in Only Friends, it was clear who was going to end up with whom (other than BostonNick ig).
I laughed at some of the "BL elements" sprinkled here and there like LuneWhite kiss and near-kisses in imagination as well as WhiteJewel moments. The funniest was when 3 boys were trying to come up with the BL scenerios and White appplying a bandage to Lune's zombie injury and Jewel interjecting there's no first aid kit around and White saying I'll just kiss him!-GMMTV should have more inside jokes like this because their being self-aware of some ridiculous bl tropes is so hilarious. That whole imagination sequence also reinforced my opinion that Dunk is pretty natural at comedy. Hope GMMTV gives him a role in comedy series cause it would be such a waste not to utilize his comedic talent. But jokes aside I enjoyed the chemistry between the cast and think they can sell as a couple if they wanted to lol. And even some GL? too, what with Ivy having crush on Star. I dunno why but I feel like GMMTV actually does quite a good job on het series compared to university setting BL..
Anyway, Dunk! Different hairstyle and fashion probably contribute too, but he actuallly looks quite different in SN! Maybe it's his demeanor or the way he carries himself, it's so interesting to watch. Like I cannot imagine that shameless my-dear-teerak-hitman Style when I'm watching White haha. I might've been a bit shocked if I saw SN first before THK. And White is also a pretty good character, a loyal friend (AND I love their friendship dynamic so much, I'm always a sucker for friend group storyline), and a pretty straightforward character, but in his own way that's different from Style. So far from what I watched, most characters actually seem quite straightforward and good at communication which I appreciate, so the story doesn't drag on unnecessarily. I can see why you recommended this, thank you.
Also I've been following a bit of Dunk Natachai himself and I've been cracking up on how he seems to have a complete opposite personality compared to Style at least from what I've seen (but I haven't seen a lot of so I could be wrong of course). I love when actors have a very different vibe from their characters, it's so fun to watch.
sorry i took forever to reply!!!!!!!! 🙏🙇‍♀️
have you finished the show by now?
i'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it!!!!! see, i knew you would hehehe 😏
for me, i actually kinda expected who'd be paired with who in the end just from the trailer (but the series ended up surprising me after all hahaha)
THE BL ELEMENTS WERE SO FUNNY OMG HAHAHAHAHA truly the biggest twist of the series (though i really should have known, considering how the dunkphuwin kiss was in the official trailer as well as in the pilot trailer dfjkjsdjkgf). ALTHOUGH THE GL WAS AN EVEN BIGGER TWIST HOLY SHIT??????
like. i figured i was in for a het show, right? from the trailer? but then i started watching it and it was all so gay omg it was an Experience. easily one of the gayest het shows i've ever watched. also, white is a bisexual disaster and i stand by this. period. idk if dunk played him like that on purpose or not, but in the words of @titkos--sideblog: "you can take the actor out of the bl, but you can't take the bl out of the actor"
i'd also been dying to know what dunk's performance will be like opposite other actors since up until that point he'd been paired only with joong and i was extremely happy to find that dunk seems to be the kind of actor who can have chemistry with just about anyone. white is just sooooo shippable and i love it!! (except for with nana, but that's on the actress 🫣)
agreed on the comedy, i also thought he did really well! (THE SCENE WHERE WHITE DISTRACTS THE TEACHER AHAHAH THAT WAS SO FUNNY)
and yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, white feels so very different from all the other characters he's ever played!!! good on dunk!!!!!
"And White is also a pretty good character, a loyal friend and a pretty straightforward character, but in his own way that's different from Style." <- yes yes yes this exactly 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
"I can see why you recommended this, thank you." <- ALWAYS HAPPY TO RECOMMEND SUMMER NIGHT <333333
and yeah, dunk has a COMPLETELY different vibe from style!!!! these two are in no way the same person, i agre 1000%. love it when actors do actor things <3 like, there's a reason why i'm stanning him fjdkfdskjs
god i really do need to rewatch smn very badly tbh
