Been working on a project that originally was meant to be just 1 drawing. JUST. ONE.(the one I'm showing you IS the one)

But I kinda went ahead and made a segment almost like a STORYBEAT full on color and yeah.... It's not done yet. I'm on the 11th drawing and still not done.

I didn't have something to post for Halloween so will this do? The storybeat will teach you what happens when you mess with the wrong people.

one of the best things about agents of shield is that it does all of the tropes, way over the top trauma, character revivals, alternate reality plots, evil versions of characters, betrayals, mind control, time travel plots, etc., things which are usually done either way too seriously or as a cheap joke/low effort filler content that sometimes doesnt fit the tone or show it happens in at all.

but it does them properly the way theyre supposed to be, integrating them into its world, and it shows why they are actually popular and that they work if you spend any real effort on them and try to do them justice instead of always playing them as a cliché trope.

yeah, its an interesting storyline to see the goodhearted main character be turned evil against their will and then deal with the fallout. whod have thunk.

and at the same time it manages to not lose the kind of campy feel associated with them, in a really charming way. i dont know if im making sense, i just waited for a really long time for someone to actually do these things right cause they have so much potential, and they usually dont get to explore it beyond very superficial levels.

also realizing there are plenty other tidbits of lore that only exist as miasma in my mind. did you know no one remembers rabbot's old hero team? that he by all means is also an experiment of ATLAS but done on earth???

ophelia destroyed a small planet once as ghost-713 i think i mentioned that once a year ago. one day her ectoplasmic core will go supernova and she'll become a cosmic being (i had that info on her old google doc). ophelia's family is still alive, and her brother is still looking for her but he wont recognize her.

i think doc should kill necrosis. oh but wouldn't this run the risk of him getting infected by the rot, too? mmrrmmm okie gnight

Mo'o spotted the message trail in the wind. Using a whisker, she caught it, curling up the parchment before presenting the Lugias. 

“Now here is an idea. How about I propose a little break?” 

“A break?”

Raiden found the idea to be incredulous, his tone saying as much but his sister on the other hand was excited, her eyes like the sun hovering above them. 

“I’ll tag along if I must,” Mo'o curled a whisker beneath Raiden’s chin. He jostled away, a tinge to his snout. The Gyarados knew how to get underneath his feathers. “But you are intimidating enough to ward off others from getting the wrong idea, no?”

“Mo'o.” Raiden spoke. Firmness in his tone, he stood his ground, “I do not understand the meaning behind this. Why must we risk exposure to humans? We are to remain hidden as always, so why now?” Frustration entered in his voice at the end, his eyes daring a glance towards his sister who focused on her little friend. 

“I no longer consider the both of you as fledglings. Now remember the Researcher who founded this island a mere month ago. Due to your negligence,” she reminded him. 

“And you wouldn’t allow me to chase!” He shot back.

Raiden clenched his jaw. It was a mistake on his half, leaving the shallows without making sure he was tailed. Only to see a man with sunshine hair chatting with Mariko. He didn’t make out what they were conversing about. In his anger, he didn’t care. The human scarcely made it off shore, his shirt was Raiden’s only prize tightly in his jaws as the human fled upon a Pidgeot to safety.

He never got out of Mariko what the humans spoke of. She kept her maw tightly shut about the subject. A secret she kept tightly to her chest. Raiden’s expression fell. She was never one to keep information from him. 

“For good reason. I have commented on your anger, Raiden. You could have hurt him, maybe even killed him.” Ignoring the flinch from the Lugia, Mo'o continued, undeterred. “Never allow it to consume your thoughts. Never forget what you are. You are more dangerous than you think you are. I teach you control for a reason. Never forget-”

“The powers we have,” he finished for her. Words she imprinted on him like a mantra. 

“Yes. Now. I may have said this is a break for the both of you. But consider the experience. Your worlds are very small. Can you truly say you know what it is out there?” 

Wistfully the Lugia looked at each other. They did not.

“Take this opportunity to learn in a controlled environment. I will linger in the shallows if that will comfort you.”

The Lugias nodded.

Mo'o beamed. “Good! Let us depart!”

hmmmm upsetting, my writing of the worst case scenario bullshit has ended up with a really satisfying emotional blow up between Raph and splinter but again it’s like. Such worst case scenario bullshit that idk if I can even show anyone
