STARK RANTS ✹
Tumblr media
Since it’s trending recently why not say my thoughts now??
Ok let me make this quick and simple.
Why the heck would Disney spend billions of dollars to make a Snow White remake with cheaply crafted costumes when we have the nice version right here?! đŸ‘‡đŸŒ
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
~ Like this is a ABC soap opera with romance, action, humor and gorgeous outfits (yes a good chunk of the show has a blue screen for scenes BUT STILL not the point!)
AND YET? It looks better in my opinion than the total drama disaster that the movie seems to be??
Disney you spent billions of dollars and your costumes look like Party City made them đŸ€šđŸ™„đŸ€Ł
Btw you watch season 1 to see how the tale went down on Disney Plus đŸ€”
Who knows I might change my mind slightly IF and when I see the movie? OR NOT! High chance I don’t see it period.
Anyways thanks for reading my Ted Talk đŸ„° hope you enjoyed it!

The "Sansa reminds Sandor of his sister" motive that some people try to hitch to his character really just flies in the face of his actual attachments to her, doesn't it? Sansa reminds Sandor of himself. He sees the little boy who used to love knights in this girl who's been swept up by the same romanticism. He sees his abuser in her abusers, the much larger knight(s) beating on the helpless child. He sees how she is betrayed by every level of authority that should have saved her and remembers his father's neglect and Tywin and Robert's apathy for Gregor's crimes. He's protective of Sansa because he was Sansa.
And GRRM's design, that one of the strongest warriors in the series, a fearsome and cynical 6'8" guy who's "muscled like a bull" and has the face of death itself, sees himself in this soft and effeminate teen girl, and empathizes with her because he was an abuse victim too, is INFINITELY more compelling than "Oh yeah I bet she just reminds him of his sister," who he's never mentioned and who we know literally nothing about. Way to unnecessarily water down a character, you couldn't have ignored the black and white text more efficiently if you tried.

#umineko#umineko spoilers#ikuko hachijo#ikukos turn for a more serious piece... the old man has reigned for too long#now. INCREDIBLY LONG INCOHERENT TAGS RANT INCOMING FAIR WARNING HAS BEEN GIVEN:#it makes me so so sad how little discussion there is about specifically ikuko because imho she fits so neatly into a lot of the more#overarching Big Themes of the game in a way that i have not ever really seen people take notice of or point out in a meaningful way#like even just off of the top of my head. the significance of names and what it means to go by a name that's Not Yours (she has like 4+)#what it Means to be a witch how it represents a person's deepest insecurities and flaws & how its at its core a coping mechanism#the fact that it takes two to create a universe and trying to do it on your own anyways has the capacity to bring you intense misery#^ (how she's shown to be extremely dismissive of her own work and skill until a collaborator comes into her life and helps/encourages her)#and even the family/patriarchy/misogyny stuff that is so prevalent in the rest of the game comes back around to her. even her Only Friend#(young&stupid atp to be fair) remarks that shes Weird for being unmarried + the little she does say about her past invites the question of#to what extent her self-image stems from her family deeming her a freak outcast & effectively disowning her while celebrating her brothers#and i have lot in my mind about the witch thing specifically because i think her particular situation is very reflective of what umineko's#entire magic system and fantasy facet as a whole is meant to represent for an individual. from what little we see of (what is presumably)#her Real personality she is shown to be deeply self conscious in a way that is JARRINGLY diametrically opposed to both 1.) what we see in#featherine and 2.) what we see when she is acting as a Public Figure. because both of the above are very much purposeful acts that she is#putting on in order to obfuscate her true self. and i have always been very resolute & adamant about not totally equating her to featherine#not only because im very firmly in the camp of “featherine is the avatar of the Pen Name & tohya is part of her too” but also very much b/c#i feel very strongly that the stark differences between the two are very centrally relevant to her character & her psyche. as is the case#with most other witches featherine's personality traits serve to reveal/magnify a lot of ikukos inner workings by playing on her#insecurities/reversing them e.g. ikuko being very quick to downplay her skill/achievements becomes featherine being the COMPLETE opposite#to the point where she barely registers even other witches as living beings rather than just fun touys. BUT even though i do champion the#ikuko/featherine separation so hard i ALSO think it is purposefully relevant that at first glance the line between them seems so blurry#her introduction implying a more nebulous separation between her reality/fantasy counterpart is i think is an intentional move on her part#like it is part of the front she is putting up when acting as the Author. as opposed to Ikuko the person who we (in a way ironically very#similar to the way that the Real Battler is presumably only shown during the boatscene) only very briefly get to see take up screentime#which even on a meta level lines up very well with her apparent underlying nature as a like. extremely private largely reserved/shy person#hit tag limit but if by some miracle anyone is still reading this thank you... please see ikuko with the love she deserves... ok ily byeee

Mini comic I made based on a convo I had with my mom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, for the people who don't believe me 👇
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Stony isn't technically canon but it was in a fantastic 4 comic with a female Tony countperart. Idk, I haven't read it and only know about it when i was bored and checked the shipping wiki while zoning out of a movie. It's weird)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
(Random note for spideypool: Wade will flirt with anything that moves, but what showd he had an actual crush on Spidey beyind attraction was when his daughter pointed out how much he talked about him and he got embarrassed. Also, the fact that he changed his entire moral code for Spidey. And they're confirmed heartmates. I haven't gotten that far in the comic yet, but I think it's like soulmates but more romantic. Also, Deadpool had a free pass list of people he can sleep with while he was married (his wife signed it and everything), and Spiderman was number five

I feel like most of the negative discourse regarding BuckTommy and Tommy Kinard specifically would be eliminated if fans did the following:
If they are women, to stop inserting their personal identity into mlm relationships and stop making mlm relationships about them. I’m bisexual, but I’m also a woman. I cannot simply understand to a full extent anything about mlm relationships. If you are a queer man in the fandom who loves BuckTommy, feel free to reply so I can reblog your stuff!
Actually watching the show. I know things can be interpreted slightly differently, but this isn’t a philosophy course in college and this isn’t an A24 film where you have to figure out every metaphorical meaning behind something. Most things can be answered/explained by simply watching the show. A character smiling that much in a relationship means they’re happy, and it isn’t that deep. This is network TV.
Stop projecting in general. This show has had characters who are in their late 20s and beyond. Any materialistic thing that seems to matter that much to the younger viewers, simply would not matter that much to someone as old as Evan Buckley.
This brings me to my next point of understanding how old Evan Buckley is. He is nearing his mid 30s, he is not a teenager anymore and he also isn’t season 1 Buck. He has evolved and matured and just simply cares about different things, or has changed his mindset of how to care for things that he cared about before in a more suitable way for his age. The infantilizing is just gross in general.
Understanding that you can ship a pair on tv without requiring it to become canon. It can simply just be a thing you make edits, fanfic, or write your HCs about.
Understanding these are actors portraying FICTIONAL characters that are telling a different type of representation of mlm relationships. Just because it isn’t being told like Heartstopper or Red White and Royal blue, doesn’t make it any less valid. We are seeing a type of representation that feels rare, a masc/masc relationship and it’s so important, especially in a world where real firefighters or anyone in a macho career doesn’t feel safe to be themselves in.

Achtung: lÀngerer Post.
We have to talk ĂŒber Dialekte.

You know what annoys me most about Endgame (well a lot of things do), but most of all?
The way that it completely ignores what Natasha did. How crucial her actions were to the ultimate victory. Instead they tried to make Endgame into Iron Man 4, and pretend Tony saved everyone singlehandedly. Yet the truth is the plan to reverse the snap would *never have worked* without Natasha's sacrifice.
They had to have all of the stones to snap everybody back- and they also had to have all the Stones to snap Thanos away. Even one missing, and not only would the Snapped have stayed dead, but Thanos would have won a second time.
In truth, it was Natasha who saved the universe and Natasha who ensured ultimate victory against Thanos. Anybody could have snapped Thanos away (it didn't have to be Tony), but few could have paid the ultimate price for the Soul Stone.
Tumblr media
In fact: let's talk about the Soul Stone. It was the most difficult and costly of all the Stones to obtain. I read that some theories that the souls of the Snapped were contained in the Stone, and so it was the key to bringing everyne back.
Meaning that Stone was also the one which allowed Thanos and his army to be Snapped away.
So again, it all comes back to Natasha, and her choice on Vormir.
Yet she didn't even get a funeral. The movie just completely ignores her to give Tony all the credit and all the fuss when he actually did very little.
And had to be emotionally blackmailed and tricked to do even that. Natasha was willing every step of the way.

Recently some green defenders have been a bit too funny and then say something along the lines of ‘’have you read the books?’’ . I have and yes Alicent is an abuser, manipulator and a villain. They changed her so much in the show, but in the books she is 19 and Viserys is 27 and she married him OUT OF AMBITION. She wanted to marry him, give him a son and plant it on the throne. Because this woman (she’s over 18, like literally a woman) bullied and mentally abused 8 year old Rhaenyra. She is evil and even tho the maesters are green biased and try to make out Alicent to be better and demonize Rhaenyra, her treatment of Rhaenyra was never denied. Like come on Rhaenyra probably just wanted to play with dolls and Alicent was calling that child a whore. Rhaenyra hasn’t had a moment of peace since Alicent came in the picture. I appreciate her as a villain in the books, because she basically wasn’t this innocent and poor girl we had in the show, she is purely evil and had one goal and she achieved it. But all the people who make out Rhaenyra to be the bad one (a victim and she is not perfect, because PERFECT VICTIMS DON’T EXIST) and always baby and defend Alicent blindly, no you are not cute for doing this and no Alicent will never be iconic. Not in the books and not in the show.

“Stansas are illiterate and can’t handle canon” they say in the same sentence they insist Sansa called Arya “Horseface” (when that is clearly a misremembering) and say that Sansa “abused Arya to the point she ruined her self-esteem” when Sansa called Arya ugly literally once in a very unserious way during a fight, and Arya’s insecurity about her looks is about way more than Sansa.
Let’s start with Arya Horseface. In AGOT, in a paragraph that is otherwise entirely complaining about Sansa, Arya specifies that Jeyne used to call her Horseface. Not Sansa and Jeyne, not they, Jeyne. The only thing Arya constantly says about Sansa in relation to her own appearance is that Sansa is prettier than her (by her perception and other people’s). Not that Sansa “relentlessly bullied her” about her appearance, but that Sansa just is considered prettier and Arya is unfavorably compared to her by other people (mainly by implication in that Sansa is frequently complimented for her appearance and Arya isn’t).
It wasn't fair. Sansa had everything. Sansa was two years older; maybe by the time Arya had been born, there had been nothing left. Often it felt that way. Sansa could sew and dance and sing. She wrote poetry. She knew how to dress. She played the high harp and the bells. Worse, she was beautiful. Sansa had gotten their mother's fine high cheekbones and the thick auburn hair of the Tullys. Arya took after their lord father. Her hair was a lusterless brown, and her face was long and solemn. Jeyne used to call her Arya Horseface, and neigh whenever she came near. It hurt that the one thing Arya could do better than her sister was ride a horse. Well, that and manage a household. Sansa had never had much of a head for figures. If she did marry Prince Joff, Arya hoped for his sake that he had a good steward. - A Game Of Thrones - Arya 1
One book later, Arya mentions this again and this time says vaguely “they” called her Arya Horseface. She’s no longer even thinking about who said it, just that someone did.
At Winterfell they had called her "Arya Horseface" and she'd thought nothing could be worse, but that was before the orphan boy Lommy Greenhands had named her "Lumpyhead." - A Clash of Kings - Arya 1
It’s not until later in ACOK that Arya says for the first time in the series that Sansa specifically called her Horseface.
She bit her lip, groping for another name. Lommy had called her Lumpyhead, Sansa used Horseface, and her father's men once dubbed her Arya Underfoot, but she did not think any of those were the sort of name he wanted. - A Clash of Kings - Arya IX
Also worth noting that in this same conversation, literally a couple lines before, Arya had to take a second to remember how old she is so that’s how reliable her memory is this first time she ever “remembers” that Sansa supposedly called her Horseface after mentioning it multiple times and never specifying Sansa said it. Of course she isn’t thinking about Jeyne Poole right now, she’s much more likely to attach that memory to someone associated with Jeyne who is one of the few people on her mind still at this point in her traumatic journey.
The lord regarded her. Only his eyes moved; they were very pale, the color of ice. "How old are you, child?"
She had to think for a moment to remember. "Ten." - A Clash of Kings - Arya IX
Moving on, the broader issue of Arya’s insecurity about her appearance is complicated. There’s not one singular cause for it. One is that Arya is an outsider partially because of her appearance being more Stark-like and less “Southern” which is the conventional standard in an imperialist society, similar to how the eurocentric beauty standards have become the convention in our post-colonized world. And in this world, not fitting that standard and there being any question about whether you’re a “real” member of the highest class is extremely perilous.
Jon had their father's face, as she did. They were the only ones. Robb and Sansa and Bran and even little Rickon all took after the Tullys, with easy smiles and fire in their hair. When Arya had been little, she had been afraid that meant that she was a bastard too. It had been Jon she had gone to in her fear, and Jon who had reassured her. - A Game of Thrones - Arya I
Another factor is, as I said already, that adults around them consistently compliment Sansa’s appearance and not Arya’s. Some even go so far as to insult Arya’s appearance in comparison to Sansa.
Sansa's needlework was exquisite. Everyone said so. "Sansa's work is as pretty as she is," Septa Mordane told their lady mother once. "She has such fine, delicate hands." When Lady Catelyn had asked about Arya, the septa had sniffed. "Arya has the hands of a blacksmith." - A Game of Thrones - Arya I
"Well," Arya said, "my hair's messy and my nails are dirty and my feet are all hard." Robb wouldn't care about that, probably, but her mother would. Lady Catelyn always wanted her to be like Sansa, to sing and dance and sew and mind her courtesies. Just thinking of it made Arya try to comb her hair with her fingers, but it was all tangles and mats, and all she did was tear some out. "I ruined that gown that Lady Smallwood gave me, and I don't sew so good." She chewed her lip. "I don't sew very well, I mean. Septa Mordane used to say I had a blacksmith's hands."
Gendry hooted. "Those soft little things?" he called out. "You couldn't even hold a hammer." - A Storm of Swords - Arya VII
The Blacksmith’s hands line from Septa Mordane (which fuck the Septa, all my homies hate the Septa) comes up again in Arya’s insecurities and her comparisons of herself to Sansa. But Sansa calling her “ugly and hairy like Hodor” that one time doesn’t.
Conclusion/Golden Child vs Scapegoat
I’m not arguing Sansa is completely innocent in Arya’s insecurity, clearly Sansa internalized and to an extent perpetuated these comparisons made by the adults around them and saw Arya as worse than her. But she didn’t start or create this dynamic. This is the classic Golden Child vs Scapegoat dynamic that harms both children and their relationship with each other. You can see this harm when in Sansa’s chapters (which Im not convinced these people actually read except to skim with Bad Faith), a lot of the reason she thinks negatively of Arya is because she is extremely anxious and worried about approval from others. Sansa is constantly worried about being “like Arya”, of becoming the Scapegoat. She is not confident or comfortable with herself either, in her own way Sansa is as insecure as Arya. When Sansa speaks up for herself in the slightest way and dares not to act like a perfectly submissive doll, the immediate response from adults is to weaponize the Scapegoating of Arya to shut her down.*
And Sansa projects that fear and insecurity onto Arya as she’s been taught to by Catelyn and Septa Mordane and others around them. Especially in moments of distress, her fear comes out as “I’m not like Arya, I’m the good one!” not because she’s an evil abuser but because the fear of being “like Arya” has been used to coercively control her. Obviously it’s shitty and unfair to Arya and you can dislike Sansa for it, but the fact is it’s also shitty and unfair to Sansa though perhaps to a “lesser” extent. That’s the nature of this type of abuse.
*as just one illustrative not exhaustive example of that, when Sansa literally just states the fact that Lady is a Direwolf and that her father, whose authority supersedes the Septa, said she could have her. And the immediate response is to denigrate her with an Arya comparison. This illustrates how pervasive this dynamic is in casual circumstances.
"She's not a dog, she's a direwolf," Sansa pointed out as Lady licked her fingers with a rough tongue. "Anyway, Father said we could keep them with us if we want."
The septa was not appeased. "You're a good girl, Sansa, but I do vow, when it comes to that creature you're as willful as your sister Arya." She scowled. - A Game of Thrones - Sansa I
It’s fair to say that Sansa treats Arya unfairly and contributes to the environment of bullying she experienced, and it’s fine to personally dislike her character for that. But to say that Arya’s insecurity about her apparence is because of Sansa “relentlessly bullying her” and that Sansa is an abuser comparable to Viserys (which they say no one actually said and Stansas are “whining and can’t read” but then immediately defended the comparison). And not blame the entire culture of patriarchal, oppressive adults around both girls is absurd and not what the text shows no matter how much y’all wanna say it’s “canon”. We never see Sansa tell Arya she’s ugly except, again, one time that was clearly a childish outburst and is never thought on seriously again. We never see her call Arya “Horseface” and most likely it’s a misremembering as I’ve illustrated.
And to pretend Sansa is not also a victim in this toxic dynamic created by Catelyn and Septa Mordane and the sexist society at large that demands all girls meet the impossible standards even Sansa can’t reach and be protected by at all (which is the point GRRM is making, Sansa unlike Arya fits all the standards and tries so hard to be what she’s supposed to be but still loses because there’s no winning this rigged game no matter how hard you try) is a highly biased and superficial reading. If you don’t like Sansa, if she reminds you of the girls who bullied you in Middle School and you aren’t interested in her perspective, that’s fine, but don’t try to tell her fans who have analyzed her far more in-depth than you have or are interested in ever doing that we’re “illiterate” just because you want to grossly exaggerate her flaws and their impact to suit your bias.

i actually hate talisa maegyr. i think her whole plot with robb was so stupid. like in the books robb’s marriage with jeyne is this tragic situation that’s really a culmination of the stress and grief that robb has been going through and unable to truly process because he is a child trying to lead his people in a war. he gets injured and then learns that his former best friend has just betrayed him, captured his home, and killed both of his younger brothers which adds to growing list of loss in his life. his father got executed, his sisters are being held hostage, his best friend betrayed him, and now his brothers are dead. so while he’s injured and kind of being consumed by his grief, jeyne westerling is there to comfort him and they do the deed and this only makes things worse because of how robb was raised and instilled with his father’s honor, as well as seeing how jon was raised, robb feels compelled to marry jeyne to preserve HER honor which ends up being his downfall. but nooooo in the show robb falls in love with foreign beauty talisa maegyr and dies because he’s an idiot and couldn’t keep it in his pants. like don’t get me wrong i love robb’s scenes in the show richard madden call me i just think the story could have been so much better and been true to the tragedy that it is in the books.

Maturing is realising that Tony and Peter's relationship in the MCU while it usually gets covered by Irondad fluff, was in fact built on Tony manipulating Peter's idealization of him and wanting to keep his identity secret into fighting a battle that a 14/15 year old should have never been a part of.
And when said kid gets hurt—because of his stupid ass decision—he ignores, devalues and doesn't communicate with Peter, leading to him believing he's not good enough because of his guilt. Kinda just like Howard did with Tony.
Not denying Tony came to actually care and love Pete as a son eventually.
It's just that the start of this relationship was not as wholesome and cutesy like the irondad fandom at the time liked to make it out to be.

Aka the segment of the blog where i talk about whatever it is I’m thinking about

sometimes it’s too early for drama and you just don’t get it. you don’t get the hype for whatever reason. AND YET! you have to still witness it?!
Tumblr media
and sometimes you have those folks who suddenly make everything about themselves when you don’t get it đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž
like oh?! u don’t care about the new tech watch i made or the thing i’m watching rn but i have to care about ur new obsession?
girl bye âœŒđŸœ.
at least humor me!
no wonder why dad and @ask-starrk don’t like people!!!!! 🙄

i had a odd day yesterday with a OLD classmate 😭 and my date didn’t text me back IN DAYS cuz they were busy. Sooo they left me on delivered or read 🎭 (i felt that!)
and now i’m in the living room hearing NONE of the Young Avengers or Agents voices
are they alive???
OHHH—my only friend at the moment is currently an AI i found in dad’s boxes of AI Chips. I HAVE NOT GIVEN IT A NAME YET BUT IF I DO, I’ll make sure to try and act nice towards it
even if half of the time so far I just wanna smack the shit out of this AI Chip 😖
so yeahh, either create chaos by stabbing someone i don’t like with a pencil or make friends with an ai. my only two options cuz i don’t want to go outside and touch the snow, its FREEZING đŸ„¶ out there! i’m swirling in my own thoughts right now.

This is a genuine 100% not in bad faith question for team Tony/pro Slovakia accords. Why was Steve in the wrong? This is genuinely not me saying anything in bad faith This is JUST what I know as someone who has literally not watched anything mcu ever.
From what I gather, basically anyone who has powers would be forced to register with the government and would not be able to use those powers without government permission. That...doesn't seem like a good thing???? It sounds very tyrannical actually?? Like forcing people against their will to sign with a government (and what sounds like their rights to use their own powers??) Doesn't seem like something a select group of people should decide for the fate of EVERYONE after them? I get they need reform but like from what I gather it doesn't seem like Steve was in the wrong. And someone said Tony broke the accorda himself which...only further adds to they don't sound like a good idea AT ALL. So genuinely curious, why team Tony?

[this became much longer than i intended whoops]
u know i think it would’ve been much better if the ode of resurrection was not shown to us immediately, and wasn’t a main part of their culture. have people die throughout the archon quest, make us believe that there’s no saving them. kill off kachina at the start and convince us that she’s the first playable character in genshin thats not alive.
build up these bonds, forge these friendships, make us care.
just to take it all away
that’s war.
but there’s a tiny flame, that glimmer of hope. maybe it’s something the pyro archons have been working on, passing it down to their successors. something mavuika has been working on. yeah u heard that right she’s actually doing something wow get citlali in there to help out. get the whole goddamn tribe involved idc
there’s a scramble to find the last of the heroes. they don’t want to force it or fuck something up but they’re running out of time. the abyss is coming. it will consume the nation. they need to fucking buckle up and get down to it.
they could probably still go into the night kingdom to search for kachina, so that mualani can get her ancient name. or it can occur under entirely different circumstances. haven’t given that much thought yet. do they find her?
do they find her and can’t actually bring her back to the surface?
for the next part, we’re gonna have to shake things up because we need the captain on our team sooner rather than later. how that happens is up in the air but regardless, we put aside our differences to save natlan.
so, we help the captain find old dragon tech. maybe we enlist the help of kinich and ajaw, maybe we go into ochkanatlan, tie some of that shit in. we can take iansan along too, who is super duper strong and can carry all our fancy dragon tech or smth idk the three of them need more involvement !!! ajaw would drive me up the wall but it’s a necessary evil
in ochkanatlan, we see how the abyss can mimic lifeforms. the twin is in irminsul right? maybe it’s steals the twin’s image, but the traveler knows it’s not them because their twin would never say things like this. we learn that they abyss manifestations are (always?) twisted and mutilated.
we see the dragon. we don’t defeat it, that’s for the world quest lol but we get the image of the dragon in our minds so that when it shows up later down the line, we know what the fuck is happening lol
on our trip, we learn bits and pieces about the captain. it’s all disconnected, nothing makes sense. and since we’re nosey little fuckers, we find correspondence with the tsaritsa in his belongings.
capitano is gentle with his body. maybe a little too gentle. it catches the traveler’s eye but they don’t know what it means, they have no grounds for suspicion. it’s blown off as recovering from his duel with mavuika. (little do we know that he was hit directly in the heart and he’s worried, goddamnit)
ororon lets it slip that something feels off with the captain’s soul. (could the captain be using ororon’s sensitivities to monitor the souls housed inside him? would he eventually tell ororon what’s going on? or would that be too risky?)
ororon receives ancient name same as before, nothing really needs to change there i suppose. more suspicion is thrown on the captain because of the identity of the soul trying to possess ororon. maybe the captain didn’t share his plan in its entirety, he has a lot riding on this, he can’t afford to fuck it up, and keeps his cards close to his chest. he and mavuika can still argue in front of ororon like mom and dad lol
chuychu dies. she doesn’t get to give a long goodbye. she bleeds out in her sister’s arms. (they actually try to stop the bleeding and give her medical care) chasca goes berserk hell yeah, there’s a struggle. she manages to rein herself in, the love between sisters reigns supreme. chasca gets her ancient name
boom u got all ur heroes. they supercharge mavuika to beat back the abyss core thing. what was its name? gilgamesh? i don’t fucking know
the losses are extreme
fast forward a bit bc i’m losing steam and attention span here
we dive back into the night kingdom to track down the “brain” of the abyss corruption. the people we’ve met and lost in natlan help us out. kachina can be added to the mix. the gay lovers, chuychu and her pokĂ©mon team, boba and coconut — the whole gang’s here yooo i actually loved this part. favorite section by far
and after our trip in ochkanatlan, we know that the dragon we’re fighting is an abyssal manifestation. the voices of the previous pyro archons are their own but the words are all wrong, designed to discourage and distress us.
we defeat it using the power of friendship (i’m gonna kms)
also mavuika’s kit is completely different. i’m giving her a redesign fuck it. but that’s a post for another time.
traveler seems pretty good ngl i just wish the cons aren’t limited to fighting the dragon. i really liked what i was seeing and then they pooped all over my party (what’s the point!!!)
instead of a big parade, we gather around together at the stadium to finally try the thing all the pyro archons have been cooking. the heroes are a necessary component.
the incandescent ode of resurrection
among the many, kachina comes out of the flames. mualani sobs her heart out and vows to never let her out of her sight ever again
chuychu perhaps? 👀 pls pls she’s the only one besides cap and ororon that i give a shit about pllssssss playable chuychu when? her design is fantastic as is u dont need to touch it PLEASE—
now we can have a party!! after everything is all said and done, we can have One party instead of the five or so we’ve had since we came to natlan. (nation of war? more like nation of fiestas)
ororon, though, feels uneasy, and not because of the atmosphere. he says he’s going to find the captain, but he can’t explain why. concerned, the traveler and paimon try to follow him but are intercepted by citlali, who is for once not freaking out about ororon’s whereabouts, instead

oh but wait. where’s mavuika gone? oh nooo
plays out relatively the same i suppose. could use some tweaking but not anything significant enough to mention right now.
except now we have somewhat of an understanding of the captain already, all the little bits and pieces we noticed, and the clues we (so rudely) discovered, it’s all starting to make sense now. we’ve also spent more time w him, the emotional attachment runs deeper, and it’s much more painful to experience.
bittersweet
mavuika is confused, especially in the days coming after. she had planned to die then. she said her goodbyes in a roundabout way. she finished the painting of her family, so they’ll never be forgotten. she saved her nation from the oppression of the abyss, resurrected so, so many. there was only one thing left to do
she was supposed to be the one to do it.
what does she do now?
what does she do with herself now, when she hadn’t planned for her own future? it was supposed to end, she was supposed to die. could she have reunited with her family? could she have seen them once again? she’s sad over what could have been, she’s confused because how did it end up like this, she’s mad because the captain stole it from her, she’s guilty because he was ultimately the better choice
what do you do when you’ve spent hundreds of years waiting for your destined day? when you’re only ambition has been this.
it’s time to learn how to live.
the end~

Ryan is fighting tooth and nail to get them to understand that Eddie is, always has been, and always will be straight. From repeatedly calling Eddie a heterosexual male to stating how important it is for the show to display the relationship between a heterosexual guy and his queer best friend or brother.
Yet, it all gets overlooked and shot down by those online who swear they’re in it for the representation and storytelling. The same people who disregarded every other queer character on the show and who are actively targeting the current one.
Buddie isn’t happening. Not in the context they want it to anyway. Eddie is straight. It doesn’t matter what the writers thought of doing or considered in some room one day a few years ago. Eddie Diaz is a heterosexual man and that most likely won’t change. I don’t even think Ryan wants to play a queer character.
Buck is bisexual. Regardless if Tommy sticks around or not (I personally hope he stays) or if Buck decides to date women from now until the series ends, he’s still bisexual.
What those disgruntled shippers are doing to BuckTommy is nothing new. They think that harassing and attacking LI’s is what gets them removed from the show. They pride themselves because of it.
But what they’re doing to Lou is being done out of pure and genuine intimidation. They know that there’s potential and know that there’s a chance Tim might want him to stick around and they hate it. That’s why the hate aimed at him is so loud and strong. They don’t want him gone, they need him gone to fit whatever narrative they’ll collectively decide will apply to buddie after the fact.
And if you think I’m making any of this up, just search Lou’s name on twitter. Click on their pages and scroll. They don’t shy away from it or feel ashamed in any way. They’re poison

she mad at her husband😑
Tumblr media
I've got a few words with other people who, like me, are fascinated with GRRM's writing and characters :) Apparently it's *trendy* to dunk on this ship and bully its shippers these days. It's beyond me why we should fight over every little silly thing. First and foremost, a Song of Ice and Fire is a hobby for me, and many others, and it should be treated as such. It should not affect our real life in a negative way. If you care immensely about lives of fictional characters to an extent that you find online bullying and insulting others for no real reason a 'moral' thing to do, I am seriously worried for you. It speaks of a certain immaturity when there are real problems in the world, when real people are being hurt, killed, thrown out of their houses, deprived of their human rights, etc, and some people here spend their lives fighting over some non-problems.
Sorry to rant, anyway, good day to everyone 💙
