so, i'm rewatching star wars, like marathoning through it...... and i gotta say............. i hate tlj more and more every time i watch this saga. and i finally put ideas around why i hate it. it's just so clear that rian johnson didn't want to make this movie. he wanted to make a star wars movie, suuuure, a star wars movie of the likes of the acolyte verse in terms of exploration of lore, expansion of possibilities, new nuances to the story, etc. but not star wars, as in the skywalker saga, as in, the middle piece of a new trilogy. there are interesting concepts explored in the movie, interesting ideas being arisen, interesting questions being asked. buuuuuuut, it takes episode 7 and goes "welp let's erase all of that!" and throws it in the trash, thus successfully destroying the new trilogy before it even had a chance to stand on its own. beyond that, and even more unnerving, it takes the entirety of the skywalker saga, ep1 through 6 and goes "welp let's erase all of that!" and more, "i can do better". NO YOU CAN'T! you just can't. because rian johnson never understood the point of the star wars story. it's just so obvious! i still 100% believe luke would never turn the way he does on episode 8. like, sure, it could've happened, a what if, a parallel universe where he gives up on vader or whatever, but this luke??? luke from the return of the sith? luke from the books? luke from the comics? luke from just anything star wars that has been created??? no. never. no. jamais. non! it doesn't even have anything to do with the force or being a jedi or whatever, it's also about leia, about han, luke would never abandon them, luke would never give up when it comes to them. i'm not saying luke wouldn't make mistakes with ben, or whatever. i'm talking about who luke is at his core, about the values of family, loyalty, faith, he's always uphold during ALL the other movies or medias in which he appeared. in this context, tlj luke just doesn't make sense. it's a luke. it's not the luke. he's an interesting concept, of a jedi abandoning the ways of the jedi, questioning them, etc etc. but it doesn't suit luke. for starters, because luke never upheld the jedi beliefs 100%, far from it. and even the characters from the new saga aren't themselves! leia isn't herself (for the little she's used). then you have iconic characters like 3po, chewie, r2 that are completely sidelined: even that, is against everything this saga has stood for. these characters are part of the team, the family, you can't build a story by sidelining them completely. all chewie does is sit by the falcon and try and eat these stupid furry pets: a reminder, HIS BEST FRIEND JUST DIED! he's right next to luke, whom he's fought wars with, loves, and is loyal to. do we even have an interraction between luke and chewie????????? 🙃 finn literally spends the entirety of ep7 learning to belong, and then he wants to leave again?????? poe is... just, not poe. like, no. there's just nothing to say about these characters cuz they're just not the characters set up in episode 7, and how do you do that? how do you take on the mantle of the middle piece of A TRILOGY and just decide to shit on what came before????? and just leave no room for whatever could come next????????????? but oh noooo, rian johnson is too busy making stylish, pompish bullshit about the force and rey-not-rey-because-ooc doing weird shit and force exploration and pretty battle on a planet that makes stylish shots, let's just ignore how he treats the characters, i meaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. 😐 anyway, I (STILL) HATE TLJ.

When she’s chilling out she’s purely in way too big cool sweatshirts and pajama pants with pockets. Also always has on funky socks bc she’s me fr fr

When Moth is going out then she dresses up a bit more. A casual outside venture is with a kinda skatergirl ur first lesbian crush outfit. The open button up, short ripped shirt, black hair tie, drawn on shoes she’s gotten. A more special event gets her dresses out which are usually flowy, have pockets, easy to move in and take off, and cute ofc. Her favorite is a lilac one with a belt and frills. Under her shorter dresses she wears leggings or some covering and usually has comfy shoes like fashionable sandals or boots. If she’s even more formal then a flowy double leg slit dress with a v neck, high heels, her hair done to look like some cosmic goddess, and glitter makeup. She does own a changeable dress that shifts colors in the light and is decorated in moths, with that one she also clips moth pins in her hair.

Everyone who knew Simon thought him out to be a freak who didn't like to be touched, or talked to, or even looked at.

It was only you who knew how much of a starved bastard he was.

He's always touching you, personal space was crumbled up like a tissue ball and thrown in the trash while Simon was with you.

His eyes that were rumoured to be soulless would light up like brilliant stars, and he'll talk and talk, smiling and fondling, hands shooting up in gestures, in tales of Afghanistan and dubai. He jokes and makes you laugh until your eyes crinkled, and moistened while your stomach does swoops around in anticipated giddiness that takes over both of you in each other's presence. That's your man.

And oh lord, how much he wants to be seen, only by you.

Even after years of being together, Simon would take pride in trying to seduce you. He would walk out of the shower with his huge biceps on display, as water would slide down in tiney drops — towel wrapped lowely around his waist, his navel where a rush of hair darker than his roots disappeared, and the smug look he would have. And in the way he would make you look at him while shooting ropes of cum inside you, eyes lost in eyes, seen. Or the way Simon would look up with dazed eyes when he's home between your legs.

Happy Pride month to all the gay folks who should still be with us but were lost to AIDS. So many of them had (and continue to have) huge impacts on the world, despite their lives being tragically cut short.

Since this is primarily a Muppet blog, I wanted to take a moment to talk about Richard Hunt.

Richard Hunt was a gay man and a fantastic puppeteer who started working with Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, and company in 1970 at age eighteen and joined the cast of Sesame Street two years later. While working with the Muppets, he originated the characters of Scooter, Beaker, Statler, Sweetums, and Wayne, but also became the primary performer of Janice and is responsible for the flower child personality she is now known for. He was also known to be a fantastic singer.

But maybe most importantly, he made so many people happy. According the book "Of Muppets and Men" by Christopher Finch, Hunt "seems to get more unadulterated pleasure from performing than anyone else in the organization. When he is not working on camera, he is apt to have Scooter or Beaker or Janice -- anyone -- on his arm for the purpose of entertaining... He makes the crew laugh, jokes with the guest star, clowns for the shop personnel. He is one of the chief reasons for the loose atmosphere that exists around Studio D despite the pressure and the slow pace that are endemic to television production."

Hunt died at age 41 due to AIDS complications. The Muppet Workshop made a panel for the NAMES Project AIDS quilt in his honor. The Richard Hunt Spirit Award is presented every year at the Sesame Street wrap party to the cast member that best honors Hunt's generosity and dedication on set.
