No Spy x Family this week!

It struck me that there isn't chapter 88 of Spy x Family.I do want to see the aftermath of the spy batle against Wheeler.

I've learned that albeit is cute chapter 87 the new arc will be hard.

However,except of Yor, I'm also fond of handler Sylvia and Fiona.They're Conpetent,Lovely ladies in the spy war:)

Damian: *panicked whispering* A-a-and and then I had to hold her hand! And even though my hands were all sweaty and girls have cooties, I didn’t want to disgrace the Desmond name so I did it anyway! And then-

Jeeves: *listening intently*

Melinda: *shamelessly eavesdropping on the Desmond home phone*

Sylvia: *listening to Wise’s recording of the call, taking notes, and feeling old because she hasn’t written the word “cooties” in decades*

I already had this idea on the to do list but I bumped it up when I read the newest chapter. The implication that Damian told Jeeves about the dance and worried about him blabbing suggests that this is one of the few people in his life that he can be a emotionally honest with. And I think that’s so sweet. I bet he still denied his crush, but Jeeves doesn’t directly question that out loud, so Damian doesn’t have to go to the usual extreme lengths to prove it.

I was gonna do this a lot simpler so I could color it without taking a billion years, but then I got carried away with the line art. Also I forgot to flip the image during the sketching process. I did it now that I’m finished, and you know what? What my art looks like in the mirror dimension is simply none of my business. Every time I expect it to look good and every time I’m severely humbled. Too late now though. Lol.

I was thinking about Yor's cover for her assassin job and then I remembered this scene from chapter 2

slightly nsfw discussion below the cut*

And I had these two thought:

It's funny that everyone in that room thinks Yor slept with men for money and expects her husband to be disgusted and judge her upon finding out (expected at the time for a respected and educated man as Loid is perceived), but the irony is that between Loid and Yor, the one who actually had to sleep with people for his job is Loid himself (or well, Twilight) when he was doing his honeypot missions.

I have this little hc that Twilight's first missions were probably Honeypot as due to his looks and charm they would be easier for him considering he was a rookie and WISE thought that would be his forte.

I don't think he liked being used just for that, so he must have gone out of his way to show Handler and WISE his full potential and capabilities (The guy is as handsome as smart lmao) and that's how Agent Twilight was born.

By the way, I hadn't thought there was also training for that “type” of missions until I read this fic in which there is a flashback of Twilight training Nightfall (you have to read it btw, half of the fic is Nightfall being incredibly horny and the other half is Twilight being incredibly blind JSFKJJJK).

So yeah, Twilight's training must have been brutal, I honestly think the reason Nightfall seems to be more impulsive than Twilight is because I feel like he wasn't as strict and brutal with her as Handler was with him.

(Imagine that poor Twilight is more traumatized by the training than by the job itself 😭, which is why he wakes up overexcited when he dreams of his early years as a trainee).

and 2:

It is very likely that Yor and Yuri's neighbors, as well as Camilla, would think the worst of Yor's work, so Yuri's great need to protect his sister stems from the fact that Lil Yuri had to listen to their neighbors constantly express themselves in horrible and derogatory ways about his beloved sister because “What kind of decent job can a girl who arrives home late at night or early in the morning have?"

Although Yor would be aware of that, she would not try to deny anything because for her it would be preferable that they think she is a prostitute than that she is a assassin, (besides she would be relieved that although her neighbors see her arrive at night, it is so dark that they can't see the blood), but Yuri seeing that his sister does nothing to clear her name would think that he has to be the one to defend her and protect her.

“Your girls?” Handler repeats, teasing him.

He nervously clears his throat, “I-I meant my wife and daughter.”

“Seems your “girls” are making you soft, Twilight.”

“Nonsense. It was just a slip of the tongue.” He says, heading towards the exit.

Handler chuckles to herself as he leaves.

“Seems our dear Twilight is so deep in character that it’s hard to tell where Twilight ends and Loid Forger begins.”

This particular scene of chapter 20,where with the flawless cold,dismissive words she tores apart the resolve of the terrorists makes a serious Impression.It gives me the gist  of how�� she suffered a great deal of trauma  from the war.

For the volume cover, Endo spesifically choose designer chair that represent the character sit on it, and also design the things scattered under the chair as "the secrets" the characters want to hide, or things scattered in front of the chair if the character has nothing to hide.

Now let's see the first 4 covers that show us the Forgers

We know that Anya and Bond must have nothing to hide, except their superpowers. Their heart and act are pure just like the sweetest beans they are.

Twilight is obviously has lot of secrets to hide (including his own feelings. Smh)

However, it is interesting to see that Yor didn't have anything to hide, except her job as assassin.

The drops of blood even is shown in front of her chair, might mean that sometimes she even didn't hide the blood (as we know she manytimes has come home injured) but her secret remains. She is a master of "hiding in plain sight", huh? 🤣🤣🤣

Now letsee the next 4 covers

Yuri, Nightfall, and Frankie apparently has lots of things they hide.

But Damian too??? A 6 y.o kid? Goodness gracious. Damian please don't stop having fun as kid while you're still the age of one!

It is interesting to see how contrast Damian is if we compare him with other Eden kids, that are Becky, Ewen and Emile

These kids can be kids, and proudly showing to the world that they are kids.

It seems Damian still has a lot to learn from his peers.

And last but not least, vol 12. Handler

how everyone in WISE sees Twilight/how Sylvia probably sees him

I have this mini hc that after Sylvia trained Twilight and he became the Twilight, she was assigned more new agents to train and although they are good, none of them are anywhere near his level.

There is only one of those every 100 years, sorry
