I don't know who needs to hear this, but if that especific person from your past that made you feel like shit, like a failure, like a disappointment comes back to your mind again, I want you to remember that you are not and never were what they said about you. Remember that whatever they said, whatever they tried to make you and other people believe speaks more about them that they do about you. They are not welcome in your mind, in your body and certainly not in your heart anymore.

You are not a bad person, you're not a mistake, you're not a disappointment, and you are not stupid for trusting people who eventually broke your heart.

Your ten year old version of you would be PROUD of who you are now because whatever shit you've been through, you survived it.

Now keep your chin up, because you are strong and awesome, and fuck whoever dare to says otherwise.

“I’ll do my best.”

This is a phrase you’ll catch me saying a lot, and I wanted to expand on this. “My best” is the best possible person I can be at the moment, and to be proud of the effort I put in that day regardless of any setbacks.

To do one’s best is not to be “perfect;” that is an unrealistic standard that nobody should set. But setting my bar high means giving myself the version of me that I think I deserve, and not settling for anything less. If I’m happy, it’s easier to help others feel happy, too. ✨

Some days, “My best” isn’t 100%. And that’s totally okay. We’re not perfect machines that need to constantly be running at full capacity; that’s not possible nor is it feasible. And that’s valid. There will be harder days, but there will also be happier days. Sometimes the best I can do is self-care to make sure my best tomorrow is even greater.

But man, when my best as at an all-time high, I can really soar. Allowing myself the time to recover sets up for greater successes the next day. Tanks that run on empty without being allowed to refuel will eventually deplete all their resources. Allow time to refuel. Give yourself the self care that you deserve.

To everyone who has shown support and love on my posts, thank you. Your kindness speaks volumes and moves mountains. The reciprocal kindness is this community is outstanding, and has motivated me above and beyond the moon.

September is PCOS awareness month. I've been hard at work on this comic. I've used my comfort ocs and characters in order to describe my experience with PCOS. I always put a part of myself in my ocs when I make them. In this comic, Pexio is worried he can't help the human he's assigned to as a guardian pinata because he doesn't understand the condition she's been diagnosed with. Ana teaches Pexio and JJ about PCOS and the effects it can have on women mentally, emotionally and physically. (with Sun and Moon's help) If any of my art were to blow up and get a ton of attention, please let it be this comic. I was invalidated, lost and hating myself thanks to my PCOS, other conditions and issues on top of it and...toxicity. I still am. Even with some of the help I'm finally getting after so long. If I can do one thing, I want to touch someone's heart. I want to make them feel seen and valid. I want to give someone else the validation and love that I didn't get. I hope you enjoy the comic :3 I put my heart and soul into it.
